The Trash Taste hosts analyze viewer-submitted anime top 9 lists, attempting to deduce each submitter's age, country, and personality based on their anime preferences. Through nine different three-by-three grids, they identify patterns in viewing habits, generational differences in anime consumption, and how personal circumstances influence favorite shows.
Insights
- Anime preferences reveal generational viewing patterns: older fans gravitate toward mid-2000s classics (FMA, Death Note, Code Geass), while newer fans consume post-2010 shows, indicating clear cohort-based discovery windows
- Strong emotional resonance drives top-9 selections more than objective quality; shows like Clannad After Story and Violet Evergarden appear frequently because they align with life transitions and emotional processing needs
- Geographic and cultural context shapes anime taste: UK/European fans show preference for slower, philosophical shows; Southeast Asian fans gravitate toward character-driven narratives; US fans favor mainstream gateway anime
- Guilty pleasure picks (high school harem comedies, fan service shows) coexist with critically acclaimed selections, suggesting anime fans compartmentalize entertainment value from artistic merit
- Life events and personal circumstances directly influence anime selections: one submitter's Bond pick was tied to watching with a deceased father, demonstrating anime's role as emotional anchor during transitions

Post-COVID anime consumption surge among Gen Z (18-22 age group) with rapid progression from mainstream hits to deeper catalog explorationShift from action-heavy shonen dominance to slice-of-life and character-drama preference among millennial anime fans as they ageChinese animation (Donghua) gaining traction among sophisticated anime fans seeking aesthetic beauty and unique storytelling approachesYuri/BL content serving as gateway to LGBTQ+ representation exploration rather than purely fan service consumptionAnime as emotional processing tool: fans deliberately selecting shows aligned with life phases (coming-of-age, relationship transitions, grief)Studio Trigger and Kyoto Animation becoming prestige markers in anime fan identity and taste curationReddit anime community establishing distinct aesthetic preferences (critically acclaimed + cute girls formula) that influences broader fan discourseNostalgia-driven rediscovery of 2000s anime by Gen Z creating secondary wave of appreciation for shows like Bleach, Code Geass, and Full Metal Alchemist

Gamers welcome back to another episode of trash taste. I'm your host Connor once again, Joe my other boys Joey and God and today we're reviewing your three by three. So now I know we've done this before and you might think, well, I don't really care what with the viewers have watched or what they like. But we're we're spicing it up today. Have we done this before? We have done something like this before. We did it on Patreon, I think. Oh, did we really? Yeah. Okay. Well, we have it. And that was that was Hentai. Yeah. Oh, that was sick though. Yeah. Well, we've been going so long that I forget. Yeah. But we have out of the twist because you know, when you see someone's anime is maybe their favorite nine or favorite whatever it is or movies, you know, you can normally kind of discern a bit about the person. Yeah. So we've also asked them for their country from where they're from yeah, and their age. And we are going to try and this is anime astrology with trash taste. We dox you based on your anime preferences. Find out on this. We don't care if you're a cancer or a capricorn or whatever. We want to know what your favorite anime is. Oh, you see like, I don't know. You just you see daughter, daughter, daughter. You're like, I know the exact coordinates. Yeah. I know the exact books called it. We're going to be like ring ball for anime. I mean, I always find it interesting because I've done a few we've done many three by three like reviews before. And I always find it interesting that I feel like you can get a gauge of who this person is. Maybe sometimes what what country they come from as well. Just from their, you know, a broad taste. Yeah, yeah, especially if it's like super specific. Sure. Yeah. I don't know what those specifics are. I don't know. We'll find out. We'll have discussion fully through this this episode. We'll come to learn perhaps maybe some countries have a preference for some anime. Yeah. Maybe there's an age group that is very apparent. Yeah. I think it'll just be fun because we, you know, we've been talking about anime for a long time. I'm going to then we've ever done anything like this. No. It should be interesting to see. Or it might be disaster. We end up being racist. Yeah. Yeah. We're going down. Yeah. We might be completely wrong. Well, I don't know. So I'm my, on my, on my streaming stuff, I do a lot of room reviews. Yeah. And in the room reviews, I do ask people to submit the country that from. Okay. And it does end up with me being just making fun of poor people a lot of the time. That sounds, that sounds like you. What does it not sound like me? I'm very kind. That's like on a one-on-one. But should we jump into it? Yeah. That's the first one. So this is the first one. Okay. So we get in the age, the country that they're from and what else is that? Is that in gender? In gender? I mean, I guess from the, I'm personality. Okay. Okay. Okay. So the first nine that we have. Okay. This whole middle eye was brotherhood. Yes. Kagyu-sama. Yes. Link click. Is that horror me? I think it's horror me. That's, no, no, no. Oh, so yeah, that is horror me. Yeah. We have back and out. Yes. We have death parade. Yes. Fate. Yes. We have even Galian. Yes. And we have blue lock. Oh, okay. This person, okay. First of all, what do you think of the list? What do you think of the, the, I think solid choices? I would say, I would argue some safe choices in that list. Seeing full metal lock is probably the hood is like, I think Shoshank Redone for you. Yeah. These are the safe options. Yeah. Look, it's just like, yes, this is, this is, you know, great taste, whatever. Great shows. Great shows on the list. We're not judging how good their taste is, you know. What are, what are, what are my seeing here? First off, I think the one that stands out the most out of everything is actually blue lock because it's, it's kind of like nothing else is is everything else feels like classic. Yeah, everything else. It was like, yeah, sick. Blue lock feels a little bit more of a modern pick, which leads me to believe that this person is a big footy fan because other because because, okay, okay, okay. Let's, let's, let's discern this. Okay. He has FMA on his list. Yeah. Guaranteed. He's from our generation. Yeah. He's also guaranteed that was his first. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. This person has to have gotten to anime around. I want to say 2010. Yeah. Yeah. Around that. Yeah. Yeah. These are all very solid picks. I mean, back in our fate. Even Galeon, I feel like there's almost a timeless one. I feel like it's a Cambodian. It's a can't be barbed. It's, you can watch it at any generation and put it in there. But certainly FMA death parade. I mean, this is definitely a person who first started watching FMA fell in love with the genre and then went on to my anime listen, all right, let me go through the list from the top and do all of like the highly rated classics like fate, like Ava, like death parade. But then click, links like in that too. Yeah. Click is in the newer one. So link click and blue walk are like the two newer ones in the list. And then everything else is kind of like the classics, if you will. Okay. Yeah. I think that ages. I think we can probably say around late 20s. I'd say late 20. I think I'm thinking late. What you think 30 gone? What do you think? I don't know. I don't know. I'm just saying 25. Okay. Okay. I'm going to throw out a 25. Should we give a point to whoever's there? Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yeah. Here's a thing here. This person. Yeah. I'm just assuming this person is a boy is a guy. Yeah. I don't know why. Yeah. Oh, no. I think I don't know why out of all these picks, you know, you got some neutral picks. I mean, full matter alchemist is blue lot gives it away. Man, blue lot gives it away. I wouldn't say that. Blue lock actually, you know, in Japan, it's more popular. It's more popular. Yeah. I think the biggest giveaway that this is a guy. I don't know why. Fate. That's it. Specifically phase zero. I'm like, that's that's give away. Yeah. That's a guy. Okay. So I'm saying 25. Yeah, we should do points. So whoever's closest gets a point. Okay. Okay. Yeah. I'm going to say like, I'm going to say a little bit all down. I'm going to say like maybe 28. Okay. What do you think? I'm going to 30. Okay. I don't know. Avera is on the list. And I feel like Avera, there's like a cutoff with Aver fans, right? Because like, obviously, it's very, very beloved. But I think there was a point and there was a point after the anime community evolved where, you know, when we go into the anime community, there was always these classics that you needed to watch, right? And Aver was always on that list. But there was this cutoff point where people stopped having to watch all of the classics and people started just to watch modern anime. So a lot of people know about Aver, but there is definitely a clear cutoff point between I got into anime when this, the community was a bit more unified. And this is what it feels, this kind of, it looks like this person grew up in anime in this kind of era. And I would say that is around about 30 years old now. Okay. That's not 30 years old. You're saying 20, I'm saying 25. Yeah. We want to check the age of that. Where's this person from? Oh, yeah. We're going to figure out where they're from. Okay. What do you think country they're from? This country was hard. I mean, he has, he has blue locks. So footy UK. Oh, yeah. Okay. Let's lock in UK. I think let's say UK. Yeah. Some European country maybe. Oh, yeah. Okay. Okay. Any European country really with with the blue locks? Who knows? They might not like footy at all. It could be, it could be American. Yeah. Oh, you know, I'll say French. French. French. I'll throw out a wild one. Because a lot of anime fans in France. France, French anime community is is dedicated. Yeah. They have a massive fandom. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Look, yeah, I'll play safe and say UK. Okay. Yeah. Connor's definitely wrong. No French person watch his trash. That's like two. Shout out to the two French people. I forgot. I forgot. This is like our demographic. By the way, by the way, these are all submitted from our patrons. So if you do want to be in one of these at some point, get our Patreon. And we always ask for submissions and stuff. Please, go check out the Patreon gets. Yeah. Yeah. So without further ado, that's a little where they from. What? Okay. Okay. 20. 20. Oh, US say. Technically the closest. Damn. I'm technically the closest. Is it a guy or what? What would imagine it's a guy? I didn't imagine it's a guy. I got that was a lot 20 younger than what I was imagining. So I'm closest, right? Yeah. You are closest. Yeah. My read was off. I mean, can I can I do? Do they? Do they have? Do they have the. Reasonings on? Yeah. What are the reasonings? What are the reasonings? If it may be first animal. I told you. First animal. First animal. They say, so let's read out their reasoning. Calgary is some of favorite romcom and I binge everything including the manga in one weekend. They click first, Dongwa. I watched and connected with some friends because of the show. Nice. Potomere. Comfort anime always makes me feel happier. Back in our favorite anime of all time. Yeah. Based. Everything in the show is incredible. Death Parade. Any of them be cry the most have ever cried in the show. Based. Fade zero. Maybe become a casual fate fan and maybe the most fun anime I've ever seen. Even Gellium. The show I probably think about the most. Damn. And Blue Lock season one. Dumb fun. And I love football slash soccer. Come on, you spurs. Okay. Okay. Trash trash trash trash trash trash trash. Trash taste. Yeah. Oh, actual trash as as as a goona. What? What? What? As a gunner. Oh god. That's a good. Come on, you gooners. All right. Yeah. Fuck your spurs. Fuck it. We're starting off with the spurs fan. Okay. That's a bad omen. Well, that just come on. I'm glad I got the entire rebro match. I would have tried to get in the mind of a spurs fan. Now, now, that was impossible. I would never have. Back up. We'll see. All of our theories out the window. Shall we? Yeah. Okay. So our line of thinking might not be so correct. Let's go to the next one. And we'll see if we fare any better with this next three by three. Let's have a look. So all right. Okay. So we have all classic. That looks like the classic you give early on generation you go. You have a shocker, 10 say, clan and a cell world. You have to tell me where this middle one. Shinsuka Yori from the future world. Okay. Each set of Kaiyaku in Domo, silent voice. And is that the remake of Charmin King? Yeah. That's the remake of Charmin King, I believe. There's no way it's the remake though. I imagine that they. I mean, that's the poster is the remake. They might have just grabbed that post. Maybe. Yeah. I find it hard to believe any self-proclaimed Charmin King fan or shaman. Yeah. Sure. If you're an actual Charmin King fan, you would not put the new one in there. No. Okay. So you go clearly is the the first anime they washed. Right. You go as a childhood. That's the childhood pick. And like that could be any country. But that could be. I'm going to guess when people put you go on. I don't know why it's normally the classic four kids W gear. Yeah. Older heads. I think look back a lot more fondly on the older you. Yes. Yes. Yes. That's correct. So these two presumably school romance, life ones, there seems to be like there's quite a lot of them on here. Yes. So the bottom left one said to Kaiyaku in Domo is like it's a school life one, but it's like an erotic comedy. Okay. It's really fucking funny. This is one of my favorite. What year did that come out in 2000? I think it's the 2000s maybe, late 2000s early. Well, I mean, because you got clandered in there as well. So clearly, I like to think there are little. Yeah. But this one stands out more because 2010 even I even I haven't watched this one. And the fact that this is on the list, it's not exactly the most popular anime. Yeah, but this shows fucking whole. I mean, there's four out of five of them seem to be slice of life romance. Yeah. So I think they clearly have a genre here that is their favorite. Yeah. And even then, I'm sure Katense is sometimes that. Sometimes it's like yeah. Sometimes I'm fortunate to pick like Bleach and Sharmon King doesn't tell us much. I'd say like the biggest tell on this on this list is Excel World. Yeah. And the one on the bottom left, I can't even remember the fucking name. Say the guy you're okay. Yeah. Yeah. The cell word is such an odd choice. It is. I have a feeling Excel World. The reasoning maybe they put Excel World was like, I watched Sword Island online and it wasn't that great. But then I watched Excel World and it's an improved Sword Island or something like that. Look, anyone who puts Excel World on their list is an ESA guy fan, but they want to feel like they have the superior ESA guy fan base because they're like, no, no, no, I'm not the Sword Island fan. Yeah. I'm the Excel World fan, actually, I, I, they're so little things that I remember watching that entire show mainly because it was quite an unforgettable show. Yeah. Sorry to be mean to this guy put it in the top nine. I, the one things I remember is that in the show, then if you remember this, they talk via like to La Pathy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So a lot of the scenes are like shots of characters just sitting there. I'm just sitting or standing there. The mouth doesn't move at all because they're talking through their minds. So a lot of the shots are really fucking boring because they're sitting in like they have so many scenes in for some reason, I remember this in the cafe. Oh, that's a color horror thing to do. Yeah, they keep going to the cafe and they just keep sitting like this. Yeah. And I everything like, what the fuck is this show? Also, I just realized this, is that bleach 1000 year blood wall? Yeah, that is. That's a new belief. That's the newer bleached. This is such a weird. I don't know what to read of this guy. In my head, I want to think Scandinavian. I want to say, I want to say like 30 in my head. He has like, so world and is that an etchie anime? It's like, yeah, etchie comedy. Yeah, like a salad. I feel like you can only get into a Southeast Asian. You think so. I can smell it. I can smell it. All right. I'm going to Scandinavian country. You're going to Southeast Asia. You're going to South East Asia. Oh, fuck. I've known how the hell you guys discerning the countries or you're just like throwing a dot. No, no, no, this feels very Scandinavian. Look at it. It's telling me about that Scandinavian. This is the hard describing to joke, but it feels Scandinavian. No, no, no, no, it feels Southeast Asian. Maybe not. Actually, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, make your point. I take that back because I don't know how big the Yu-Gi-Oh, I don't know how big Yu-Gi was in South East Asia. I'm trying to think like four kids, right? What countries had Yu-Gi-Oh running when it was running like during the four kids era? Like obviously the US, like Australia, UK, obviously. But then I'm thinking, I mean, I just don't know about anime in the other countries, but you know what? I'm going to, I'm going to, I think it's Australian. Okay. No, I actually think it's the US. It's going to be boring. I think it is US. Oh, sorry. It's US. Because look, look, look, there's Yu-Gi-Oh and Charmin King on there. Yu-Gi-Oh and Charmin King and going off in the UK, Charmin King was like there, but it wasn't, you know, it wasn't readily available. That's true. I'm just throwing out a Scandinavian. You know, I'm just throwing out a Scandinavian. I do think it's America. Yeah, Charmin King didn't air in Australia, but I'm just going to say Australia anyway, just because of the whole Yu-Gi-Oh. So what are you going on? America. I'm going America. Okay. The Yu-Gi-Oh. I don't think it's the age of the age. For the age. I mean, it's got to be older than 20, right? Yeah, this time, this time, this time, it's like late 20s. Definitely got to be older than 20. He's, they are watching Bleach. Yeah. They grew up on Bleach, Charmin King and Yu-Gi-Oh. So that tells me, and the Bleach remake has been really, really fun and amazing. Yes. Yes. Obviously, OG Bleach fan who enjoyed 1000 year blood war. So I'm guessing it's like 29. John, what are you thinking? I want to say 30 again, but I can't say 30 for everyone. That's good. I'm 30. You're eventually getting it. That's going to be some people my age. All right. So you said 29. Yeah. I'll say 31 then. Just a fuck off. All right. What are the results? 30. 30. No. Okay. Never mind. Okay. I'm so close. Yeah. I knew that. I knew this guy was European. I knew you were European. 34. Okay. That makes sense. Yu-Gi-Oh. There's just something about in my head that like Scandinavia, it's such a, they're able to sit down and enjoy slower things. Something about it. Yeah. Something about it. Yeah. Yeah. That doesn't quite work. True. And I feel like, I don't know. Let's read just read just a few things. Let's read just a few things. All right. So let's zoom in. Are you human, slightly? Okay. Yu-Gi-Oh. Loved it as a kid. Played the card game, even played and won a tournament based. Enjoy the craziness of how serious a card game is. Make sure to tend to say, best is the guy. That's it. Clan Ad are specifically after story. Dizerves. It's spot for being the first and I think only anime that really broke me and made me cry based. Excel walled, criminally underrated essay. I was saying, I told you. It's ignored too easily for being from the same rider. I really like the walled and concepted has Shinsukai Yori, my favorite anime of all time, bassist fuck. And thus, centerpiece had me on the anime seat, practically every week. Bleach was and still is my favorite of the B3. Before you lynching me, I'm talking anime specifically. I do like the one piece manga better. Thousand year blood will arc, made me love it all over again too. Setokai Yakuendomu, slight manga bias, but it really made me laugh out loud, which sadly not many anime do. A silent voice had to represent anime movies at least a little. I don't watch many of them, but some voice really hits different. Shaman King, another one I really loved as a kid and as largely the reason I got into anime in the first place, my local TV stations only had the first 10 episodes or so on repeat, which annoying me enough that I went looking online for the rest. Okay. Wow. I mean, based. Thank you very much. Wow. Wow. I mean, you were close with the country. I want damn close. I should have been more locked in. Yeah. I don't know. There's something about the slower shows that I feel like certain cultures. So Europeans. Look, the UK and the US, right? We're fucking dumb. We're like fast. We want things that are the gratifying instant pay off. The Scandinavian countries. They live a slice of life every single day. That's right. They go outside and touch grass. That's why they can enjoy it more. They can enjoy it. Exactly. Thousand, the thousand year arc is just America right now. Let's go to our next one. All right. All right. Dessert. Okay. Okay. So we got scums wish. Umamu Simea, Saiki Kusuo. What is that? Middle left. Mayanaka punch. Oh, mayanaka punch. I think. I think. Uh, middle on there. I don't see that. That's our data live. Uh, middle right. What is that one? Let's go. So deep cut. Deep cut. Gosh, you know, the magical girls. Gosh, you know, the magical girls and then one on the bottom left. Magic chocolate. Magic of chocolate. F tail of memory. It's what a fucking throwback. And bottom right is a popletan. Popletan. Okay. Deep cuts galore here. All right. I'm saying now. Southeast Asian. Southeast Asian. Now, now, now I'm smelling. Yeah. Okay. This is Southeast Asian. All right. Let me tell you why. Let me tell you why. All right. You got Umamu Simea. You got the idols represent. You got scums wish. You could. That's the soap opera represent. You know, and you got gushing over magical girls and fucking data live. All right. You got you got the culture. All right. That is true. This guy likes anime girls a lot. Loves anime girls. Uh, but also also I'm thinking just purely based on the fact that F tail of memories is there is like they have to be like over 30. You gotta be. I don't I don't want to think that I don't believe that there is a single anime fan under the age of 30 who has even fucking seen F tail memories. I never heard of that show. It's like it was a video. Yeah. There's a studio. There's a studio. There was based off a visual novel from like the mid 2000s. I think. So we all think this person's over 30. I mean, you have to be right. I mean, what's the what's the bottom left one? Bottom left one. Magical. Magic chocolate. I'm not. Magic. I've never heard of. Can you argue with that? What year? I would guess I would guess like 2000. I mean, the 2002. The all style. The magic of chocolates. That's the name. It's 6.29. It came out 2011. I have never even heard of this show. We'll switch we read the description. All in the media is. Uh, uh, no, sorry, no, no, no, no, re description of the show. Yeah. Um, so that says chocolate here chocolate eye cower and her an enigmatic acquaintance cut cow field from a runner shop named chocolate noir, which is a famous for its specialty granted chocolates known to miraculously grant wishes. A variety of of troubled individuals find themselves in front of the shop, seeking its merchandise. But these chocolates are expensive and each customer must pay with their most precious belonging. Although chocolate seems to be a lady who would have no problems her own due to her her ability to ground wishes beneath her mysterious facade is a distressed young girl who has not settled a score from the past. So it's kind of like a not monster of the week, but a kind of weekly episodic thing which you fix the problems whilst you're looking at a plot about her own backstory. Yeah, it has a cute anime girl. Not only cute anime girl, but I feel this one and a couple of other ones is a lot of like magical girl like cute anime girl with powers, you know, trying to solve shit, you know, like date alive. It's also listed as an OVA. So I'm guessing it was from that era where a lot of aviation. I think it might have been like, yeah, much like in online. Yeah, finally footing. Yeah, dramatic super natural show. Yeah. 13 minutes per episode. What the fuck? I've never heard of this show. I've never heard of this one as well. And this is, he came out in 2011. So yeah, you're kind of person would watch this be like top nine. Top nine things I've watched and feel like they represent them. You know, this person has put, I'm going to say he has put a lot. He's dedicated. He's dedicated to the girls. He's dedicated to the girls. I'm going to assume your gender here and I know it's what is 25. I'm going to, I feel safe about this. It takes a lot of balls, but a show like gushing over magical girls in your top nine that represents your tastes. Yeah. And, and mind you as well, go back to the three by three. Yeah, can we go back to the three by three? Data life is in the middle. So that's all I'm going to say. Data life is in the middle. I have not watched. Yeah. But I have experienced for years because that one girl in the show has always the most erotic figures. I've seen it. Somebody got them to have some cranky figures in Japan. I don't know anything about the show. Yeah. Well, she's the best part of the show. So what is the show about? What do you state a lot? I remember what data life, I guess I've only seen season one and I was like, yeah, that's enough for me. But data life, I believe it's a show where like you have like the main guy like has to date the girls in order to like unlock their powers or some shit. It's been a while since I've watched this. I was really, really, really, really, really special quake threatens the safety. Okay, rush to save her and to be caught in a resolving it. Okay, sure. Yeah, it discovers a mysterious girl. Oh, yeah, here we go. Yeah, yeah. So, Kotori, who is the main character's little sister, forcibly recruits Shido after the clash, presenting to him an alternate method of dealing with the danger posed by the spirits, make them fall in love with him. Yeah, so he literally has to port the girls in order to unlock their powers and then use those powers together to defeat the threat or whatever it is. Yeah, right. But the show has stood the test of time in Japan. Oh, yeah, that girl is everywhere still. Well, I mean, there's like four seasons of this show. Oh, what? If I'm non-mistaking. Yeah, it's still, I've got a lot of season, not the last season, the latest season came out this year. Five seasons of this. Yeah. And the light novel, I believe, is still going. So yeah, this has like a really cult fan base, I feel. I don't get it, but hey, whatever floats you boat. Yeah. So what is the show on the bottom rights? I don't recognize it. Popolitan? Popolitan, what is that? I've seen Popolitan, but that was that's also like a deep cut. A deep cut. Yeah, that's a deep cut. I think it's a 1000s show from the mistakes. And that's a three. Another six point two. Beautiful sisters. I, Mal and me, all right, I've heard everything. And the day about the show. And so. I'm going to head out the show, God. It seems like it's made for you. Three beautiful sisters. This is before my time, man. This is, even I haven't gone this deep into the rabbit hole. And I've made mayor and slippery, peter, ferret, unagi. Why do they have to say slippery? Like an amazing journey together through time and space without ever leaving their beloved mansion behind. Yeah. So it's like a magical girl adventure show, I guess. I guess so. A thousand of it. Oh, shaft, shaft made this. This is during the era where shaft was cooking up. So there's just two like shaft like shaft. Yeah, they love shaft. There's, I mean, there's F and then this, there's this. There's two like very underground shafts. Yeah. Before shaft, I would argue, really found their style. Yes. And they're footing. So what do we think? What country? I don't know. I'm kind of leaning towards the Southeast Asian part. I'm honest. Malaysia, Indonesia. Brad Broght's going to dox the cool on the part. Can we go back to Lissian? Yeah. I'm new, I'm new cold read on this. I don't know where this is coming from. He's a nocy player. I know. All right. I feel like he's a nocy player. I just Yeah, there was a heavy kiss anime. You I want to say American. I want to say American, but I might go a bit deeper. I'm going to go. Oh, I'm going to go Canadian. Canadian really? I'm going to go Canadian. I think this guy's 32. You know what? I'm going to go like, what did you say? Which one did you say? Malaysia. Oh, let me see this thing. Oh, yeah. You know what? Honestly, actually, you know what? Maybe Singaporean. Actually, no, maybe Philippines. Okay. Maybe Philippines. Yeah. All right. I'll say Singapore. I'll say Singapore. Okay. Okay, that's nice. Okay, that's nice. I'm gonna 33. Okay. Yeah. Let's see. Let's have a look. What do we got? Faaa! No! Okay. No! No! You won, team! You won a life of half of these! What the fuck? What the 19? What from Maryland? Okay. Okay. We've been... I'm going to zoom in a little bit. So, scum's wish. This anime is incredibly trashy. It's right up my alley. I also really enjoyed the message. I enjoyed the message you had at the end. It was a must-a-may. I was really surprised at how investing... How investing the story is while also still managing to be emotional times. It's just a life of Saki K. One of the first anime I ever watched was recommended to watch the dub from a good friend and honestly the dub is incredibly funny. Oh yeah. Mine like a punch, vampire girls and YouTubers honestly actually really vibed with the concept and the stories both comical and interesting. Data live. This is just peak harem. Nothing you can say to change my mind. Gushing over magical girls. This is peak etchy. But also the action and the action is really good. They had actions and quotation marks. This is not sure. The magical of chocolate, the anime just had some wild fucking episodes. Okay. A tale of memories. At first I enjoyed the slow pacing. At the beginning however, the ship progressed. I really liked how the ship was developed by the main characters. Yeah. Poppa-tan actually thought it said a really interesting idea. Even though it does take some time to progress, I really like how the character struggled with moving through time. Also I was surprised when they even had uncensored nips. So thanks Shaft. Yeah well early 2000s anime was built if. That's crazy. What a crazy. You know the typical anime pipeline of just like FMA, Death Note, and then you just go over the world of anime. What the fuck is Bro's pipeline? Bro's pipeline was in anime under a seven I'm going to watch. This is for 19. This is the strangest pipeline I've ever seen in my life. I wonder if they watched a Shaft anime cut really into the style of the ship. And it just kind of went back. Went through every show. I feel like that must have. No, but if that was the case, you'd think that they would have like a latest Shaft showing this top three. Bro skipped all the classics and went straight. Yeah, you went all the way to the top. That's crazy. But maybe he's just watched so much anime and he's just found his calling. But his first anime was, yeah, I mean, I guess so. His first anime was Psychie K, which is interesting. Yeah, that's it. Who starts off with Psychie K? I wonder who recommended that one. That's all the idea. I mean, it's a good show. It's a good show. I've heard nothing but good things. It's an interesting show to start with. Yeah. Okay, well, well, we're the terrible at this game. Well, you guys have some of the weirdest three by three. I mean, I think you will see that list and go. Yeah, 19. Yeah, no, I feel like it's too. We'd be doing ourself a disservice well done. Look, we have gone to a lot of anime conventions. We've been trying with a lot of anime fans. Yeah, I, you know, normally the shows you like tend to say things about. Yes. Yeah, let's go on to the next one and see what's next. As we pull that one up now, we're our spreadsheet is large and filled. Yeah, we got like over 400 submissions from you guys on Patreon. All right, next up. All right. All right. Okay. This one is from Jalen. Jalen Pia. So you got Evangaliant Steinsgate, Quinn Essential Quinn Toppers, GTO, Planet After Story, Violet Evergarden, Bachumon, Attack on Titan, and Nana. This looks like Gauntz. Yeah, and this is like a Gauntz. Like Gauntz, right? This is like my taste. But slightly different. Like, no, no, no, no. This is your taste like this. This is for Isaka. No, no, no, no, no. This is, this is anime zone. Yeah. This is, this is anime zone. Yeah. GIGGug, right here is taste. I feel like Violet Evergarden doesn't feel like a gaunt pick, but it would be if it came out a bit earlier when Garry is still forming his taste. Yeah, but no, because GTO is on there, and I'm like, yeah, that was definitely, I mean, GTO fucking fantastic. Amazing. Amazing. But also, it was something that was just garnered towards my kind of taste before hands. Bachumon as well. Very, very interesting. Bachumon is the show for people who I think love creatives and creative process. Yeah. I'm going to say, I think just from this pick, they might have started from like potentially manga, because I'm looking at like GTO Bachumon Nana, even quintessential quintopolis. Like those are like pretty big staples in the manga world when you're like first going into it. Like those are like the classics, if you will. So I feel like they fell in love with the manga of all these firsts, and then was like, I'll give the anime a go. And then that's what kind of like led them down the slippery slope of watching all these shows. And that's cheering their cheering their cheering their cheering their cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering cheering it is. And like the list. But I sometimes I wonder if it was just the first show I watched that was really like genuinely sad in a sense. I mean, maybe it could be, but I feel like even now when new anime fans go back and watch things like Clannad After Story and you know, after they slog through Clannad, which you know, admittedly is very slow and has not aged all that tremendously. The payoff of Clannad After Story, I feel is pretty timeless in the world of anime. I think you'd have to be pretty dead inside to not feel any emotion watching Clannad After Story. This person, I don't know how to say this, it's wasn't like the good cry. He does it. They like a good cry. They have Steinsgate, Ava, Violet Everguard, Everguard and Clannad and Nana. And Nana, all in one. Damn. They like to get in touch with their emotions. They like a good like human drama. You know, because like GTO is on there as well. Bachumon as well, like has an amazing character that's driven story to Nana as well. So they clearly just love like just really good story to them. Does that mean do you think this person, they, or they, they, they outwardly show their emotions normally? Or is it like is anime their escape where they can actually like, be all these emotions and let them out? I don't know, honestly, it could be either one, but I mean, I feel like maybe it could be the thing of like they want to, they, they see fictional stories and fictional characters and especially the ones that you can really get into and just become like so emotionally overwhelmed and want to almost like put themselves into it a whole lot. I mean, like, you know, maybe quintessential quintuplets is like a, God, I wish that was me kind of like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, that's, that's, that's, that's me because everyone has that one show where I'm like, of course, this one show doesn't normally line up with what I usually watch. Yeah, that's the guilty pleasure, Peter. Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. It's like being like a cinema enjoyer than watching like Love Island on Saturday. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's, it's like someone, they, they need to just calm down after crying over all of these other shows that they're watching right now. It's, it's the whole like, if you eat steak every day, sometimes you want to eat a burger kind of deal with you. This person thinks about life a lot. They, they, they think about, they reflect on their life a lot. Yeah. I'm like, damn, you good, you good bro, you're showing your emotions properly. Tell me about your life because I don't know something about GTO, you never like, you, no one reads GTO and doesn't like reflect on either the childhood that they're having or like the role models that they've had in their lives. It's such an obviously avers like the obvious one reflect on my life, but Nana as well, you very grounded human drama of two, two women going through different, different stages in their lives. I, yeah, I don't know. Yeah, not a lot of action in this story, but not a lot of action, a lot of just like really solid storytelling. Yeah, I think a lot of people look at anime and, and media as a way to interpret their own emotions and how they view their own life. Yeah. Especially like, you think like a Buckhaman, which, you know, story of artists, which is just a story of people being people. Yeah, I, that, that, that life and that, those struggles. I think there's a, you've reason more chance that this person might actually be an artist, be an artist as well. I think so. I don't know. I, I start from the Buckhaman, which is obviously like, just like me for real. Um, it's just like, yeah, you know, a lot of, a lot of artists that I've met are, you know, they, they have to be more aware about their emotions because that's what they're conveying through their art. Yeah. So, and that reflects in a lot of these shows. So that was a lot about their personality. Doesn't really tell me much about their age or where they're from, but you know, I, I feel like we, we had a read there. Well, okay. Let's, let's first like kind of get an idea right because I feel like the one thing that has helped us with trying to at least identify the age is what out of these nine, do you think there was a show that was their first anime? Which one do you think was their first anime that they watched? Not sure. Cause I feel like at least for the past three that we saw, they always put their first anime that they have watched in these three by three. So yeah, I'm not sure. It could be any of this. For a, maybe a Tarquin Titan, maybe I was maybe also going to say Averall Steinsgate. I'm, I'm actually, I think there's a chance they might be a little bit younger as well. I think so too. You know, I, I, I think about why I got into anime at the time I did. And I think it was because when I was growing up, especially in Washington, or Anglo spheres of influence, you know, you, you watch kids shows, you want sure your cartoons and whatnot. And then you kind of at this weird point when you're 13, 14, 12 where you're like, okay, cartoons are over now time to, time to grow up. And suddenly everything around you is either adult or it's like children. Or I think anime always often a really good kind of like, hey, being a teenager is fucking weird. And I try to figure shit out also fucking blows. And so many of the stories from teenage perspective. So it's often a great medium. And I think that's why it calls to some of people is that they, they do a really good job of kind of looking at the lens through that, that world of a teenager where everything's changing so rapidly. And all these things are so new. And then tackling topics that, you know, I think like a lot of, sometimes anime in retrospect, you're like, okay, I see that they tackled this in a way that was easy for me to understand then. Yeah. Yeah. They're almost like bridge the gap between like the kind of childlike wonder and adventure with more adult concepts like, you know, sociological concepts, right? Where I feel like it's pretty rare in terms of like, especially like animation. It was rare to get shows that were quite mature. Yeah. In the Anglo. Yeah. And I think it's quite like tackle quite mature topics. It's mature, but I feel like, you know, like, like you guys said, this is like anime zone gauntlet taste. A lot of these shows spoke to like a mid to early 20 year old in me where I was like, I'm going out into the adult world now and I'm haven't figured myself out. So I'm just trying to put myself into as many experiences as possible just to figure out who I am. So that's why, you know, maybe this person watched these shows at that age, maybe it's not, but, you know, I'm kind of projecting here, but for that reason, I'm kind of thinking like 24, 24, 24. Yeah. I was thinking like 20, 23, 25. Yeah. I'll just say 25. Yeah. I'll say 26 to fuck you over. What country the fuck me? That's a real stab in the dark. I feel poor. Could be American say. I'm going to throw out a Malaysia. Okay. I'll throw out like a Norway. I'm going to throw out Australia. Okay. I'm like, I'm not saying the US because we don't want to. Yeah. We don't want to cop out. It's easy. It's easy. Okay. But it's probably the US. Let's be honest. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. You got the link. Okay. Oh, they're they're an anime creator. Anime creator in progress. I'm fucking. All right. Well, let's let's find out. I'm not sure that they are an artist. All right. How old are they and where are they from before you start reading the things? Yeah. 23. Oh, Chicago. Chicago. Chicago. The US is such an easy answer. No. No, 23 or 25. I don't even fucking 25. No, no, no. We fucking we we we we touched out that he was young. Yeah. Yeah. And he was an artist. Yeah. Oh my God. All right. Let's see their reasoning. There's a lot of reasoning. He may go on franchise a series that hits me deeply and is very misunderstood, especially the rebuilds. A lot of people want to claim a pretentious or too avant-garde. It is true definition to storytelling and human connection. Our science gate. He a lot of the opposite. Oh, come on. This series is really cool with the concept of time travel. I love the dynamics of the group and how the connection is developed and deeper. Yeah. All of it is a go. Quintessential quintuplets. I don't really like high school anime or herons, but this one is really wholesome. Yeah. I agree. I agree. I think I'm down to that same kind of like emotional, emotional connection. I was right on your side. I was right on your side. I don't know if you said Nino is best girl though. Yeah. Great teacher, Onizuka. Onizuka's story always makes me smile and it's not. He's very, very ridiculous and he's hearts in the right place. Kind of after story, this one destroyed me emotionally in the best way. Yeah. Same, Violet Evergarden. Every episode feels like a letter straight to the heart. Stella, one of Kyoto Animation's best works. Bokamon, one of my favorite stories. As someone who loves storytelling and creativity, Bokamon hits close to home. It captures the grind, the doubt and the passion of chasing a dream. I relate so much to the dedication and the emotional highs and lows of wanting to create something meaningful. Attack on Titan. What has not been said about AOT? You can just end it at that. Yeah. And none of this one feels painfully real. It doesn't glamourize emotion and it exposes it. Love, heartbreak, ambition, loneliness. It's all there, raw and unfiltered. I need the manga to continue. I, Yazawa, please pick that pen up again. We need a back. We need a back. We need not a now more than ever. We need to be close on the phone. I'm pretty close. I'm happy. I'm happy with him. Damn. You hold the creator thing. That's crazy. I don't know. Something about it. I was just like, you know. Backman is a big, big tale of you might at least be interested in creating it. Sure. It was less about Bokamon. It was more about just, I don't know. The styles of storytelling. Yeah. So what one thing they mentioned, like Client After Story, bowling. Now obviously, one of the last time you guys watched Client After Story, when it was airing. When it was airing. I've not watched Client After Story. 10 years. But like, I used to, like for me, like, I don't know, 10, 10, 10, 10 years ago. Yeah. And I think about it. And I'm like, the reason why I asked you is, like, do you still think it like hits or holds up today? I'm like, I'm wondering if like, it was it as a mature of a story as I think it was or was it just at the time it really felt like it because I'd not experienced it. I mean, I don't know. Right. Yeah. I'm sure if I went back and watched Client After Story, I'm sure. I've been watched Client After Story. I don't think I'd maybe see it as like, yeah, right. Pinnacle, sad. You know what I mean? Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I don't know. Maybe that's why I haven't gone back and rewatch it because I'm afraid that that new perspective might ruin my memories of it. Yeah. Yeah. I also feel like same with kind of like Steinsgate a little bit. I don't want to rewatch Steinsgate because I like the memory of Steinsgate in my mind tightly. I feel like I will maybe see it as a little less mature as maybe as I felt like it wasn't the time to me. Yeah. So I've been like, this is like a weird thing about getting older. This is like a thing I've been thinking about a lot lately. It's like all the media that I consumed and I was 20, I literally, I barely anything in common with that 20 year old. Right. So you're like taking this and you're supposed to actually ask good as well. Yeah. I feel like can I even talk about these shows that I watched like 10, 15 years ago? I think that's valid. I think that's a valid response to how. And even then like this guy mentions that like even Galeon's like Avon God. I'm like, it's even Galeon Avon God. I mean, I watched it like three years ago. Like I felt like it was more just telling the story from the perspective of Shinji who is a person dealing with depression. It doesn't make sense. I don't think that's Avon God. I mean, I feel the term Avon God is the way what is Avon God? I feel like he's layman terms for like some people didn't get it. Yeah. Avon God is just not that simple. I don't even harsh. What's the definition of Avon God? I just felt like it meant like that. Pretty sure what Avon God is Avon God, whatever that definition is. Avon God, new and experimental ideas and methods in art, musical literature. Yeah. I would say. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I guess, yeah. I guess I just maybe my my my misunderstanding of the word. The term Avon God just sounds really pretentious. It's too French. If you want to immediately sound intellectual about it, I'll just say it's Avon God. Avon God. It's very Avon God. But no, thanks so much. The list was really fun. Yeah. I really enjoyed analyzing your list. Yeah. But no, I, this is just something I've been thinking about a lot lately and I, what's the last thing you cried out? Last thing I cried out. Yeah. Last movie TV show media. What's last piece of media you cried out? Oh, fuck. That's a great question. I've been watching you in a while. Yeah. It's been, it's been a while for me. I don't think I've, um, the last thing. Hmm. Hmm. I mean, I started like, I played this Lego game. And I started, I started welling up a bit at the end of it. Yeah. Is it in no way? You see? Yeah. It's like this. It was just really cute. Like, go off Lego game I played with, Matt. Yeah. And like, it's these two Legos and it's about like the, you're just kind of building, you're going to build this rocket because one of the Legos wants to go off and go into space with a stream. Yeah. And then the other Lego guy at the end of the game is like on earth, just like talking to him to the radio and he's gone off and done his stream. I'm like, that's a fucking, that's crazy. This is what growing up it's like. Yeah. I fucking cried anything. Yeah. You, you, you get, you get to a point and then you're just like, kids things, I cried that now. And then, uh, I don't know, well, you're the last thing you cried out. Um, probably orb. Or did hit me or hit me like a lot of times, a lot of people's stories in orbs hit me. And it wasn't even like during like the moments that you think people should cry out, you know, where it's just like, oh, something dramatic happens. It was sometimes just a way a character's phrase like a certain line. Yeah. That just just got the emotions of God. Oh, coming out of good. Well, what was the last thing you cried out, Jerry? The last thing I cried out, piece of media. Well, I'm an alpha male and we don't cry. I don't know, a piece of media. Yeah. Probably, it's like probably an album I listened to a couple weeks ago, um, because like, it's one of those albums where like if you know the artists, then, and you know the backstab of that artist, then listening to that music is just like, oh, fuck. I don't think. Yeah. So, but when it comes like visual, I don't know. When it comes to things like anime or like movies, I don't know. I, I cry a lot less at emotional. Like I feel the emotion behind it, whether it's like sad or happiness or whatever, but it's very rarely drives me to actual tears coming out. Yeah. If that makes sense. Interesting. Yeah. I don't know. I'm just dead inside. No. No. So let's find out if the next patron is dead inside. Let's have a look at that list in the next one. Have a look. See you here. All right. Okay. God. Uh, what was the top left one again? Yeah. Jerry, you're the new owner. Yeah. It's, uh, Jason, the fish or something like that. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I think it is. The one, the one where the girl is in the wheelchair and the guy basically helps take over. Can we, can we get the actual name? Would, I think it, I think it might be right. I think it's, I think it's Joe's saying the fish or something. I remember you ring that name. Oh, oh, Joseph Tiger and the fish. Yeah. That's what that's. Yeah. That's, uh, we've got Violet Evergun, Spice and Wolf, uh, Death Parade, Clonad, uh, not Clonad, Claymore, Black Lagoon, uh, Tetslon Birdie, uh, which, uh, was that witchblade? Yeah. Yeah, it is witchblade. Witchblade and full metal panicked for more food. This guy likes strong women. Yeah. I got to say, fucking based. We want the same you know, based as fuck. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. I, I guess so. Very, uh, hmm. This is such an interesting list because a lot of these, I feel like you'd never seen on three by threes. I mean, I like Claymore a lot. And I, I know the show has so many faults. Oh, yeah. So many things like that are not good about Claymore, but there's just something about it. It's so fucking cool. I really love. Yeah. I really love the show. Well, the manga is insane. The manga is crazy. Yeah. The manga is so good for that. Spice and wolf as well. Fucking classic. That's one of my favorite Lionel series. Black Lagoon. Oh man. This is hard. Black Lagoon's classic. Not the classic. The greatest, uh, dubs as well. Well, the manga as well. Yeah. I feel like these are all shows that other than death parade and a violent ever garden. I feel you never see these shows on three by threes. So that either tells me that they are potentially from a country that maybe we don't know a whole lot about, you know, the, the way that they view. If they're from the US, that's fucking me, man. My, my read on this is that they were once a big anime enjoyer. And now that they've gotten a bit older, they've kind of consumed it a little less, they kind of keep up with maybe the big shows of the year or maybe the movies that look interesting. All right. I'm, I'm going to read here. Okay. Okay. Okay. So, um, I feel like, as you said, bro, foul, bro has a type. Strong women. Yeah. Me too. Um, so I think, I think that might be married. I don't know. Oh, oh, oh, they found someone. Look, look, look at this. Look at this. All right. Bottom ones. Those are formed the older generation. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Older generation. Strong woman. Strong woman. Strong woman. Death parade. And then suddenly, suddenly there is a mood shift with, there is a mood shift with the more modern anime shows that is on their three by three. Right. What does that mean? But maybe he's found his life partner. Maybe he's found someone, you know? Maybe, maybe he's found you. Yeah. You know, you're right. Um, shit. But then the question is, when did they find the thing? Yeah. I'm going to go, I'm going to say, you know, fuck it. I'll throw out a wild one. I'll say, okay, I'm going to say US this time. I think the US, I do. Do you actually think it's US? Yeah. I think the US, I think they're like 40. Oh, like a lot older. I think they've been in a long time anime fan. I think they're probably, they got the claim on VHS and they were like, yes. Oh, I can't be. Yeah. I think 40 is a little bit overshooting it. How, actually, when did Witchblade come out? Because this person definitely enjoyed Witchblade when they were a teenager. Um, the mid 2000s. 90s. Oh, wait, no, the original, uh, that's one. 2001, 2001, 2001, 2006. Yeah. Mid 2000s. Yeah. God, I haven't fucking seen Witchblade in probably like 15 years, like a picture of Witchblade. I completely forgot that that show existed. Oh, man, this is so hard. Yeah, I do agree with Connor. I do think that they're an older person. I'm saying 40. Yeah. Just saying 40. You're saying 40. Yeah. I mean, because like, I don't know, maybe I'm just out of the loop. Do you know anyone recently who was watched Full Metal Panic? I don't know. I don't know if these watched Black Lady and Orchlay more. Yeah. Those are shows. Yeah. Those are shows where like you were at the peak of your anime watching lifespan in the mid 2000s. Yeah. And the Spice and Wolfs there. Spice and Wolfs there. Spice and Wolfs there. Yeah. Yeah. And they've liked OG Spice and Wolfs there. Yeah. And OG Spice and Wolfs there. Like this. Yeah. Also, Buddy, the MyTD code as well. That is, I remember when that was like gifts that were posted around at the start of like the web gen kind of like anime fan come thing. Because there was so many cool looking shots in that show. But then nobody talked about it afterwards. Yeah. I feel like it's just this weird underground anime that sometimes gets clips from the first post it about it. But nobody remembers the name. What are you saying, the boys? I want to say they got to be at least 30. I'm saying at least 30. Okay. 32. All right. All right. Yeah. I'm going to go 34. I'm going to go wild cards for the country. Oh. Yeah. I'm not picking US. I'm picking US. Okay. I don't think this is the US. Okay. What do you think it is? I'm going to say like Germany. Yeah. Well, because he wants to be dominated by strong women. I'm going to say take me to Germany. I'm going to say like Middle East or India. Oh, no. I'm wild card that. Yeah. Okay. Let's have a look at that. That kind of region. All right. All right. What is it? 28 from all over the US. Fuck. Okay. Okay. Oklahoma checks out. 28. Every my age. Okay. Yeah. More money younger than me. That makes sense. Thanks. Thanks. I watched a lot of shows as well. Yeah. All right. Let's see. Josie the tiger and the fish. My favorite anime movie ever. I'm a graphic designer and I was in a deep dark part of my life. I applied to many jobs and never got the call. So I thought I wasn't right for the line of work after getting my degree. I watched this movie and related to Josie in the way that she felt useless and unable to do what she loves, which was art. That inspired me to apply just a few more times. I got a job literally the next week and I've been working ever since hell you know. That's what's up. But I never got in gorgeous in it. You're from Oklahoma. Great emotional story. Episode 10 shout out to myself. Spice and Wolf. I love the original and the remake. I watched the OG back when I started and the chemistry between I like and hollers unmatched. I like how they wrote an entire fucking essay for Josie the tiger and the witch. And then witch play just like I mean the milk characters pretty hot. Finally. I know all the dark fantasy great concept. We should follow the manga but still an amazing dark fantasy show. Black Lagoon just an awesome time. Banner guns. Swear words. Birdie the mighty decode literally men in black the anime forgotten jam. Which played I mean the main male character is pretty hot. Let's be honest and full metal panic. My first mech a show and I really enjoyed it. Ava is fast fantastic and I love it. But wouldn't have watched the others if I wouldn't have loved for metal panic so much. From the look at great maker show. Yeah. There just seems like there's a lot of seasons and harder. Is there there's two seasons. There's a lot of panic and for many panic for more. Oh, why do they think that? For more for more for more for who is the spin off series. But yeah, there's one of panic from now panic the second rate. I don't know why I thought there was loads. Um, there's three seasons, I think. Okay. Our formal panic. Yeah. Really? The third season came out. Uh, much more. Oh, shit. You're right. Oh, what the fuck? It like came back. Oh, uh, oh, there's season four as well. Invisible victory. I haven't seen that one yet. Is it good? I've only watched the first two seasons and a bit of season three. I don't know. This was like peak when I was getting into anime. Yeah. And it kind of introduced me to mecha as well. Uh, then I just read the manga and then I haven't really. Yeah. I really felt like I need to like get back on it when they essentially just uh, resurrected it. Right. All right. All right. Oh, my lord. Okay. Joey, Joey. Yeah. This is this me. Go get your good. Yeah. Yeah. Get your man's. This is this is my double gang. It is. Uh, so we caught. Is this the answer? This is hunt on the 2011. Ericka seven. Kill a kill. Um, Gorilla gone. Bucketman got to be Kay on Jojo fully calling and samurai. Champlers. This is literally just. This is just my three by three. This is literally just my three by three. Let's just read, uh, read Joey then. Yeah. So you're 31. Same age as me. Probably Australian. Um, shit. I mean, yeah, like you, I feel like they got to be older, right? I don't know. Uh, yeah. I don't even know what older is anymore. You know, I think we do. We don't give enough credit to some of the newer. Gens are getting to anime. Yeah. Some of them do that. They watch a lot of the classics. Yeah. But back on the gallery in the middle. Yeah. That's definitely their favorite. Shit. Ericka seven though. Kind of kind of kind of base. That's a base. That's a base. Kind of base. Haven't haven't seen that in a long time. Uh, I will say they seem to like. Not so much experimental anime, but at least anime that has a unique. Flavor to it. Yeah. You know, like you look at your killer kills and your girl and the guns and your samurai shampoo and your JoJo's and your foodie, coolie. They all kind of like, I love them kind of like standing in the genre of their own. You know, yeah. All of these have. I don't want to get to it as well. Yeah. All of these have one thing in common, which is they all have amazing soundtracks. Yeah, I was just thinking I was like, these are all banging. Oh, true. Have amazing. True. That's your taste. That's right. I was probably, probably Australian and. Australian. Australian. Yeah. It's got to me. It's the anime boy. It's the anime boy. We found the anime boy. Um, yeah, I don't know. What, which one do you think was their first one? Grin Lagana, Reagan. K-On. Okay, on it. K-On is your first show. I don't know. For me, I reckon it's either Grin Lagana, like when it was first airing or Hunter, Hunter Winner's first airing, which either way tells me that they're probably at least in their like mid-twenties to early thirties. Yeah, because I remember for the longest time, if you ever went on any pirated anime site or any normal anime website as well, like any of them, you always remember seeing that God Damn picture of Hunter Hunter. Oh, he's always number one. Yeah, everything. Yeah. In the case you want peace too, but it was always Hunter Hunter was like number one. I feel like if you just typed in the word anime on Google images, that was that came on. It was sharp. You know, a lot of people got into it because they would just like, this show must be good. Yeah, everyone is saying to watch it. All right. And then you watch your like absolute fucking stuff. That was the thing. So I think maybe Hunter Hunter they started with. Or Sam Raichamp. I feel like, I don't know why. I feel like they're Gen Z, but like early Gen Z. It's like 25. Yeah. Like 20s. Yeah, like, yeah. I'd say like early to late twenties is kind of like the read I'm getting from this. Almost all of these shows come from the same era. Yeah. And it is. Yeah. It's not, it's not an era that is like as old as like when I got into anime, where did it still like, you know, early to mid 2000s anime. This is more towards that later 2000s 2010s era. Yeah. Because I think out of all of these, the newest show is probably kill or kill, which is like 20, what 12? Yeah. Because the rest of these are all like, I mean, you got like Sam Raichamp and, you know, obviously JoJo and stuff like that, which are, you know, technically from like the nice. Has this person just given up and watching anime now? There's no need to show their like, he's just like, I'm for real. He is. Yeah. Watch all of the peak and he's like, I'm done. Yeah, I'll say the 30. 30 and a fucking, I'll say, I'll say Mexico. Okay. I believe you're a doppelganger of me. So I'm going to say 31 Australia. I'm going to say 27 and I'm going to say. Oh, I can't you out. UK. Okay. Okay. They are 18 UK baby. 18 UK. Damn. Okay. Damn. All right. Wow. 18 year old with that fucking three. By three is pretty based. They were UK. Yeah. They were. I, uh, is 18 Gen Z. Yeah, I think so. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think so. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think that on the cusp. Right. Gen alpha. Alpha. Well, you, the 18 means they were born in. Why is Gen alpha? 18 means that you were born in 2007. That's fucked up. That's fucked up, man. Yeah. He's right at the end of the end. Right at the end of the end. Okay. So you're right. Okay. That's fucked up. 2007. 2007. I refused that's 18. That's 18. In my 25. In my head, your five. Like that's, yeah. That's die ball. Okay. I don't know why I saw fully coolly and fully coolly with something in our generation as well. But I've seen this pattern where a lot of Gen Z just, you, you, they always have like a fully coolly profile picture or something. And I don't know what it is about fully coolly that's, you know, appeal to us, but appeal to them in almost like a different way. It's, I mean, it's just peak. That's right. I mean, it is, it is peak. But it feel, it has this, has this vibe of, you know, watching, watching the older generation's classics, you know, and you're like, that's, and you're like, that is, that is now my personality. It's cool to see the, a lot of the, you know, fans are giving you into anime. Yeah. Going back and watching all the stuff. Yeah. I feel like I did the exact same thing. Like, totally. Yeah. Totally. You have to watch monster, you have to watch, cover me, but I'm also going to watch these things. And also when you're younger, it's great because you, when you discover that you can just sit there for like on summer break and you're like, I'm just going to spend 12 hours watching all of full metal archmage. Yeah. This is the greatest thing of all time. Yeah. Totally. Oh, I've seen the amazing text from the great. I've seen it. I've seen it. Great text. You're 18, but all of your favorite anime are from a single era. Yeah. I was a weird, when we were watching anime, like, weekly, that, this was all the shit. Did you imagine how good we were eating? Like, it was amazing. It was amazing. We were getting this shit weekly, dude. Let me see the reasonings. I'm really. We've found Joe. Yeah. Hans Hansa never had more fun watching a battle show in other than Joe Joe's, which explains the Joe Joe pick. Ericka 7, my favorite studio bone show and one that suits my tastes the most, the wall-building character development, cast and romance are all executed perfectly. Kill or kill, my first studio trigger show and what got me obsessed with them. I think it's the most stylish and hype anime ever made. Bucketball and the Gotterrey Joey introduced me to the jacket, yeah. Joey corrupted. I corrupted his mind, basically. Oh, I know. Okay, on people say the show doesn't have good writing or plot or whatever, when it clearly does, thank you. Joe Joe's, I like watching Jack's gay strippers fight each other and near non-comprehensible powers. Best character is Koichi. Koichi, okay. Fully Koichi changed my life, never had to show with themes and animations style that resonate with me so deeply. Samurai Chamfully, gov. Nusia Bears and my favorite episodic show of all time. This is a type of person that would come up to Joey in a convention and be like, bro, I've been watching you since 11 now. And now I'm in college. Now in college. This is the exact person, Joey. I've made people like you probably about 300 times. Am I dreaming this if I swear when Kill or Kill was out and it came out, everyone's like, this is going to save anime. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Why did the fuck with people saying that again? Because, um, this was, this was, this is all, okay, history lesson, this was a weird, cut sky around the camp fire. anime history. This was a weird time were, uh, during that year, free ed, and it opened up a whole new demographic that was not as loud, uh, as, uh, as previously, you know, uh, and this, know, it, how can I say this? There was like a Tumblr invasion, basically your battle. Anime has always been, you know, it's history's always been on the edge of your themes of the internet and so yeah, it's kind of democratized it. We're so so so so from like, you know, anime, you know, it's anime is like, oh, the big three shonen action shows and suddenly out of nowhere, you have this new demographic being like, yo, free. Yo, you got hot guys and like all the, all the fucking men were just like, what the fuck? This, this is not the type of shows we want. We want more manly action shows, right? And so then killer kill comes along. And then the community was like, my man, what is the community was like, yo, let's go with, we're so back guys, killer kill saving anime. And that's what and that's how the me and the fun is killer kill is is extremely obviously sexual, but it is also very homerotic at a lot of. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. Yes. Extremely. It was a different time. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it was like, that's so funny that was why I remember that being a thing, but I was like, wait, anime needs saving. I thought we were eating pretty. That's all right. Yeah. So weird. So we, what a weird time. What a weird time in the fandom. Well, uh, base picks, uh, I'm going to adopt you. So please give me details and, uh, before you're a little, you're now Joey Sun, yeah, my son now. Thank you. Let's move on to the next person. Come with the actual from the UK. Okay. Uh, so we've got, wow, all right, we've got Hippie Kei Euphonium. Um, we've got, uh, what the fuck's name of the show again? I was going to say, this is ready. This is a reddit is less. I'm not saying the shows aren't good. I can put all these nine as your favorite is reddit picks. Yeah. Heavey Kei Euphonium. We got a place further than the universe. March comes in like a lion, uh, musishi, uh, call the night, uh, 100 girlfriends really love you made in the base even gilion and exterior experiments lane. Yeah. You are. You are on reddit too much. My guy. I mean, great pics, but, okay, well, the fault, but because, because you know, we're saying this is reddit. Let's break down with that. Why, why we think that? Why, what does that even mean? Lane Lane Lane, plus Lane, musishi and he be Kei Euphonium. Yeah. Oh, no, it's like the rainbow thing where you're like, you know, you know, sometimes you just, you know, he sees like, it's like this bush. Yeah, this bush is from Mexico. Yeah. Sometimes it's like the Mexican gradient. This is like the reddit gradient right here. And I can't 100% put my finger on why, but it's just, it's, it's just this mix between cute girls and critically acclaimed shows that I'm just like, that's true. That's what it is. I'm trying to think it is. Yeah, it's cute girls and critically acclaimed. That's how that's like the perfect reddit. Yeah. I can see the karma pouring out of the street right now. I don't know why just I, I, I, I get that. I guess just like your average well rounded anime fan might throw in a show or a, you know, a very action heavy show. Um, and a lot of these are very heavy on the fields, you know, March comes in like a lion, sound you for him. Yeah. They're very, very intense and visceral shows. Yes. With their emotional and then the hunter gore friends is the guilty pleasure pick. Yes. Yeah. What's the one in the top middle again? I know this one. I play further than the universe. You love the show, right? John, I fucking love this show. This is basically four girls that's tried to go to Antarctica and it's just the journey of, um, it's a coming of age story where they just go to Antarctica, basically. Yeah. And it's, I thought he was going to be cute girls and cute things. And then it was just a very inspiring story. Um, although there are a lot of cute girls to and cute things on this list. There are, but there's no straight up cute girls to his true. Because even he became euphonium, like on the surface, it looks like a cute girl's doing cute things like, yeah, because I remember when this came out as well, people were like, oh, we got K on, but they're in a fucking brass band now. But when you actually watch it, it's incredibly powerful storytelling. Yeah. Um, God, how old are they? Bro likes escapism. I, I think this person is young. I think they got into anime somewhat recently. Yeah. And I think they have tried to watch the most critically acclaimed shows and, and try to make that a big part of that. Yeah. Yeah. This, this, this person has avoided shown in at all costs. Yeah. Would, would, would, would lane be in your three by three? Probably. Yeah. Yeah. Probably. Yeah. Just, I'm, I'm looking, I'm looking at all this and like, they, they very much like human drama, but it's very much a human drama put through a very anime. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of like a philosophy heavy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yes. Um, oh man. This is the person who's like, I'm not going to read any philosophy books, but I will watch these shows. What about philosophy? Either extremely American or like Latvian. Yeah. There is no, there's no middle here. That's my guess. Yeah. God, I have no idea. I have no idea as well. Oh, it's just so tough. Yeah. There's not really much you can say about that in terms of like, there's no like bad, obviously, there's no bad ones, but I know, yeah. I choose that none of the ones that we've, we've, we've released the only thing we know is that we know which websites you have bookmarked. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Yeah. Um, you, you like, you like cute girls, but you'd like cute girls, not as like a fluffy thing. You actually like them in a meaningful, in a meaningful, the aesthetics are very important. Yeah. The aesthetics are very important. You like them to go through human drama. Maybe you like a little bit of yeary baiting. I don't know. You could be a whole life fan. But a tangential whole life fan, because you don't have an idol show on there, but I'm sure that kind of feeling might, yeah, I might appeal like a, I'm not active in the chat, but I will put on the same one. I'm kind of, I mean, I'm like being a part of a group. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I just want to see what my girls are. Yeah. Yeah. I like the comfy feeling it gives me, but I need a little bit more than just pure confidence. Yeah. Yeah. I just hope we'll just way off. It'd be so. Okay. So I said, I've said they're either like Latvian or US. And I think they're, I think they're 22. I think they're pretty young. You think so? Yeah. I think an older anime head wouldn't have so many new shows. And they're really like old ones here. Not even old, old is wrong. Lane and even Gali and kind of and they're not really like, there's no classics on here. I mean, Mushi Shii, I would, I guess Mushi Shii is. Yeah. You're right. I'd say that I mean, the newest one is 100 girlfriends, but even then it's like, these are all in the past like five, 10 years, mostly except for the sea. See, see, I'm reaching, I get it because I'm like, I feel like they either, like pretty young or actually pretty old. I'm a, they're young. I'm going, I'm saying they're 22. I'm going to say 38. 38. I'm saying 38. I'm saying 38. I'll go, I'll go right, I would write the middle. I would love to be the picture and I'd love to watch them listen to this. I bet they've already just fucking giggling laughing at us, fucking making assumptions about them. This fucking dumb ass. What did you say? What did you say? I'll go right in the middle and say 30. So you say 38, 30. I say 22. And I'm saying US or some Eastern European countries. I'm saying Latvia, sure. What do you say? You know what? I'll say like, fuck. Let me say like, I want to say like hungry. Yeah, let's go, let's go hungry. Why not? Yeah, sure. What do you think? I'm saying Australia actually. Okay, Australia. Yeah. Okay. All right, let's have a look. Let's see. Let's see who is even remotely. Are we all kind of right? We all kind of wrong. I feel like we're all so far off. All right. Oh, 29. 29 Netherlands. Oh, okay. Okay, okay, okay. I had a feeling there was some European stuff going. Yeah. Well, you got the European thing. Yeah. Holy shit. There's something about it that felt somewhat European. I couldn't pin it. Yeah. All right. Let's see that we're eating. But they're 29. So you were right. I think we both had the similar thing of like, I must there's something old here, but there's something new going on. Definitely. But the same age as me. Uh, okay. Having completed upwards of 1500 anime. Yeah. We're ready to assemble. Ready to assemble. Ready wages on your list. Oh, yeah. Also, I love how they're like for a broader look at my taste. I'll include a link to my analyst, doesn't it? Oh, okay. I can't. No, I can't. And by reddit, what I want to say is you have a extremely thorough. It is a dire process. Yes. Yep. 100%. You've lost 1500 anime. That's crazy. So has written an essay, uh, right here, which is impressive. Hmm. Let's quickly go over. You know, okay. Here, pick your film. Some shows also before I start. I'm just going to say there. I also know they're a reddit anime fan because they've listed all the anime in their Japanese names. It's not a single one that's in English. Oh, okay. And I hope the person who's been this don't be offended by any of this. Yeah. We're all just joking. No, Rob. Here, be getting informed. Some shows just resonate with you and Kei and he resonates on another level, even though they're the Yuri bait, the story and characters all of purpose and see if they find their goals, going along with Kumiko on her journey to find her own purpose is absolutely worth following. Hell yeah. Sort of you, me, you will, uh, Toy Basho, which one's that one? Sort of, you already know what I'm talking about. Oh, oh, oh, oh. So, it's the tightest part of the universe. From the second I heard the insert song at the end of the first episode, I was sold on the show and I only did it to deliver a great story. It's also an anime that it's very easy to recommend to newcomers who are afraid of anime and one that's pretty hard to bounce off of. Uh, March comes in like a lion. This show captured me from the very first scene and helped me all the way through. Thanks. I'm not above Chi, Chi Haiya Furu. Oh, wow. Though on another day, it can easily go the other way around. That's fair enough. There's just something special about the way that Shaft brings these characters to life from the casual slice of life moments, the more dramatic emotional ones. True. Mishishi, the series can be described in one word, us. We get around 30 stories all set in the same world with little overlap, but each and every episode keeps you hungry for more. How will the, will this crit of the day probably be solved and what soothing yet chilling soundtrack will accompany it? Is this a call the night, call the night. Okay. I show a show I put off watching for a long time, because I know I'd love every second of it after reading one chapter of the manga and learning the adaptation was on the way. When I finally started it, I've been to the two available seasons in just two days. Yeah. There's some anime where you just couldn't have wished for a better adaptation, and this is one of them. Okay. Makes sense. How can I know? What can I say that hasn't already been said about the show except it's a rom-con haran done right? Yeah. Made in the miss. I think the show completely blind as did most in the first episode had me absolutely hooked, but then the insert song at the end dropped and Kevin sold me on the show. I think that's very similar to everyone did this, the experience Kevin's work. Ivan Gellian. I've seen someone put the Japanese name for you to gallion down. Even in Japan, I feel like they just say Ivan Gellian. Yeah. They just say never. Yeah. I've never heard from him saying like that. I'm probably so deep in the source. I know. Hey, look, he respects the medium. I don't really have the words to explain why the show especially as many people already don't. It might even seem like an elitist pick, but considering how modern the rest of the show is on the shoe by three, it's packed with messages every 9% of which probably flew over right over my head, but despite its rough edges, it's an experience absolutely worth having. I love how this is the show that he thinks is the elitist. Yeah, I do think so. The least elitist show on the show. I think it's so ubiquitous to like Ava and then connect with it. I think it's just kind of it comes standard on most people's shoe by three. Zero Summer's Lane every day. We inch close to the world of the wild and think all this was pretty to 1998 with VR and AR and should close at each year. It's truly becoming truly usable. And with some people already living and tire lives in VR chat, the show feels eerily relevant. It shows a possible future and one that feels less and less friction and I'm all for it. I've watched zeros from the lens lane. It is crazy how much they predicted in that show. Yeah. It's pretty scary. Okay, after watching it. Yeah, but it's a fucking mind. Yeah. And extremely obviously someone who's watched an ungodly amount of anime and is well rounded. Make it for the comprehensive breakdown as well. Appreciate it. Thank you very much. I think being able to enjoy perhaps some of the slower anime comes one with time being anime fan, but also an aging anime fan. Yes. Or someone who's the reason why I went 22 is that I think sometimes new people get into anime try really hard to get into anime. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But it's cool to see great list. Yeah. Thank you very much. Hold on. And we got a good kicks out of making fun of Reddit. I would love to. This was just not on Reddit at all. Yeah. I mean, I mean, I make fun of like Reddit anime tastes all the time until I realized that is your right. Yeah. That's how I know. You have Reddit anime tastes. I can only make fun of it because it's exactly my. So three by three in my eyes should be like it's like the food charts. Yeah. It should be a well balanced. It should be a bit of junk food. Yeah. Yeah. There should be a lot of greens in there. Yeah. Let's go to the next list though. It's quite fun trying to predict these people. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. He's the next one. Oh, okay. Very different taste. The last one. So we got a real zero. Okay. Your name. Okay. Okay. Despite having one overlap. All right. So this is someone who got into anime recently and now wants to go a bit deeper. Yeah. So we have Reazeiro. Your name. Rentergale friend Anna Hanna. Demon Slayer. Made in a BIS hunter. I'm sorry. Hunter. High school DXD. High school DXD. I want to ear pancreas and taco peas original sins. Oh, man. I think this must be a modern anime fan, right? Yes. No one has demons Slayer in their top like top three by three unless in the middle as well in the middle unless it's like one of your first anime. So when I first started watching anime, you know, I've kind of watched all the shows you'd expect and then the only reason I watched Anna Hanna and some of the shows like that was not because I wanted to. I just was like, I felt like I had to as an anime. Yeah. I was like, I can't call myself an anime. There was a lot of pressure in the community unless I watched and become a well-rounded viewer. So I watched Anna Hanna and I feel like there's a little bit of a similarity going on here. I see a lot of myself in this where there are the shows that I want to watch. Maybe they're guilty pleasures like high school DXD which I watched. Admittedly, one too many seasons on. And a rental girlfriend. But then you're like, also, you can see the sparks of other stuff that they enjoy. Yeah. Taco Pea, your name. I forgot about the bottom middle ones called again. I want to eat your pancreas. I want to eat that. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. But with the context of the rest of the list, it just reminds me of talking to the anime men when they're like, yo, you know, it's easier to change my life. I'm just like, you know, a lot of these shows I can see, obviously there are some older shows there like Anna Hanna and high school DXD. But for the most part, I think this, I would not be surprised if this represented the kind of like taste of a new gen fan that really is. Oh yeah. Someone who just got into anime. Maybe in the past three, four years. Yeah. But I kind of agree with God in the sense that I, this is giving me like 19, 20 year old anime dance of someone who maybe just started once they like in the last years of high school maybe. Yeah. Taco Pea's amazing. I don't know if it cracked my top nine. Or if it is the best in that kind of genre of show. Yeah. Like heart wrenching. Yeah. But it does an amazing job and it's modern. Yes. And it looks and sounds amazing. Yeah. Renter Girlfriend. Bro, what is, what is, what is the logic behind putting Renter Girlfriend? Okay. Let me get, I mean, I can tell you. They're a giga fan. Let me, let me get into the mind of someone who would put Renter Girlfriend on their three by three. Okay. I'm, I'm trying. I'm, I'm, I'm assimilating right now. Okay. Um, does that mean, ah, okay. Is this person single? Would, would, would, would, would, would, would, would, would, would, would, would, would, would have taken person put Renter Girlfriend on their three by three. Hmm. I don't know what you, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. It's, it's definitely, definitely, no, if you have a girlfriend, it's either if you're married or you're single, there's no input to it. I mean, I watched high school DXD when I was chronically single and horny. Yeah. Yeah. That was the only time I could read. You can only sit through it. Oh, yes. It's like some kind of torture. They're like, oh, they're going to show boob and then you know, don't. They're like, I should just watch porn. Yeah. I'm 45 minutes to this. Oh, but I would say the only like anomaly in this three by three would maybe be like, I want to eat your pancreas. No, yes. I feel like made in the best is the weird one here. You think? I kind of. I don't know. But either way, it's definitely giving me like 19, 20 year old. It's giving me someone who's still discovering their tastes. Yes. I don't know. I don't know why. Someone in their high school probably was like, or told them about anime and then they started off with shows like Demon Slayer or, you know, your name. And then now they're out of high school and they're like starting to tap into the more, I guess like, quote unquote, non mainstream or like go back to like the classics like Anahana for example. Yeah. Do you know what this looking at the three by three, like gives me like the feeling of like the vibe of you know that, you know that like golden period where you got into anime and then you started getting a little deeper into the anime world. And it was like one of the first 50 shows you watch was like, banger, banger. Yeah. I'm not faking banks when you get into it. Yeah. Like it's that that is this era that that is his vibe that is giving off right now where like he like this person is just in that like golden period where they are just where everything is awesome. Where everything is awesome. Including shit like rent a girlfriend in high school DX, you know what I like? Oh shit. I like this as well. Wait, okay. I mean, that's the sad life of a fan. Yeah. It's like the golden age is easy to get through all these shows. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I'm sticking to my gun. I'm saying 20. I'm saying 19. 19. I'm the young. You're all right. Uh, uh, uh, uh, yeah. Let me see. Oh, like, yeah, they're pretty like very close to 20. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'd say 20. All right. I'll say 19. I'll throw on the curve ball. Yeah. What country are you reckon? US. US. No, I'm going to throw. I'm going to do a Southeast Asia. Yeah. I was about to go like Singapore. Philippines. Malaysia. Okay. All right. All right. Let's see. Hmm. 28. 28. It's me. It's me. No, he's a whale. Bro. You got high school DXD on that, bro. Copping is look like that. Let's go through. What the fuck? Yeah. Oh. Oh. Bonus points for having well straggled representation in high school DXD. Really? I don't think so. I don't recall. Okay. So we were wrong about the age, but I think we're right about the time, the time period they got into anime because they said demon slayer. What got me into anime and it's my all time favorite. Yeah. It's a simple show, but I don't care. I enjoy it for what it is. Don't understand why it gets all the hates. Oh, okay. Hmm. So I do think we're right. That's this person is going through without they're like, you know, honeymoon period with anime. Yes. Yes. Because when you look at Arnold Hanna, I researched what the saddest anime was and this was number one everywhere and I see why. Yeah. So they started with demon slayer. Okay. Free zero your name like all of the big hitters. Okay. And then they went back and when I want to watch something that will make me emotional. Instead of age, maybe we should have asked them what's what when did you start? When did you start watching it? Yeah. You know, sure. Sure. That probably would have been a school DXD. Yeah. Fans service at its finest and what got me into hand time. And then to girlfriend, the first romcom anime I watch out, it only goes up from there. And just I like how trashy it is. Main character is a dick, but the cheese of who is wifey. Okay. How the fuck did you put rent? How the fuck are you claiming that like rent to girlfriend was your first romcom anime? And then you immediately went to I want to eat your pancreas. That's like opposite. That's what I'm saying. They're just like consuming everything right now. Anything that comes up. I'm like, I'll watch it. Yeah. God damn. I mean, it's one of the best and most interesting worlds I've seen, just how morbid it gets as a story progresses, just unbelievable. And talk to these original sand. Didn't think the first episode of a show could be so disturbing from the get go great and compelling all the way through. And I was tense the whole way through as I didn't know what would happen next. Is high school DXD just a pipeline for hand tie? Uh, yeah. I feel like it was for me. Oh, yeah, because at the time high school DXD came out, it was like the biggest fan service show. Like nothing compared to high school DXD. Yeah. I'm the popularity. When I was like 19 or when I was 18 watching it, I was like, this is, this is good. I just wish they would do the thing. Yeah. Which I would see. Like just. Yeah. Could they just fuck like that at that time, you're also like, I don't want to jerk off to cartoons. Yeah. That's fucking weird. I'm not going to find this hot. And then you watch high school DXD, you're like, hold up. Hold up. Hold up. Hold up for a sec. You're like, is there, is there this, but real? And you just show chop and you find mashed up. You should like, oh, my God. This is what we wanted. I sprayed for times like these. Wow. Well, well, you found your son. Yeah. Fuck. Find your brother. You found your brother. 28th of the way. Fuck. Is your brother's all count. Oh, my God. Bro. But thank you very much. Will, let's do a few more. All right. We've got the next one here. This one's a very aesthetically placed. Oh. Okay. So we got our first girl. The email. Yeah. Yeah. I think it is. Yeah. Look at this list, dude. Bro, is that heaven's lost property or whatever that's called in the middle right? Middle right. Heaven's official blessing. Heaven's official blessing. Is that it? I think so. Bro. So we got, March comes in like a line. Yuri on ice. And then we're gone honey and clover. So cute a fafuna. Fucking hell. That's a throwback. What is that middle right one? I think that I think that heaven's official heaven. Oh, it's Murazu. She. Oh, okay. That sounds like me when I'm a sushi. And I'm ordering another sushi. So the sushi. Moda sushi, please. Moda sushi please. It's a. It's a it's a Donghua. So it's a Chinese anime. And it's bro. So much of them are just like, oh, look at these. They're very pretty looking guys in a in a palace setting. Okay. So the audio listeners, what we're looking at is a beautiful homage to pretty boys and pretty girls. Yeah. Yeah. What is the bottom left? What is the bottom left? That looks like something I would have made a video about on that. That's me 2000s. That was sure. I can't see the hands. I can't see the hands. I couldn't see the hands, but I was almost certain. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I think and the bottom middle. What's that one? That's Rassafon. Rassafon. Oh my god. Yeah. Holy shit. And then Sailor Moon. And then Sailor Moon. So definitely go who first watched Sailor Moon and was like, this is awesome. Are there any more shows that I like this? There's a high chance that this was part of the OG 93%. I think there's a high chance. I think there's a high chance. They became a trash taste fan because of a certain Sebastian Pank. Yeah. He was the go. Yeah. Sebastian's the go. I mean, I really enjoyed when I was really into the Yowee manga and shows. Yeah. Eventually I just got so tired of, I felt like so many of them were just the same. Yeah. And then it was always just like big fucking hulking man with little twink boy with massive hands. And I was like, what is that? I was looking for like more nuanced. You know, because I really enjoyed seeing Japanese artists and Japanese storytellers go and try like LGBTQ topics. Because I was really interesting how they approached it. Because it was from such a Japanese lens. Yeah. And it was always really fascinating. But then sometimes it was like, this one's just horny. This is horny. And it was like, I know what I'm looking for. I was looking for more like really emotional depth stories. And obviously a lot of the stories taking place in Japan. That being a massive filter on the story. Wow. It was really interesting. Fun history lesson. You know, do you know what Yowee actually means? I do not know. Yowee is actually an acronym for Yamanashi or Chinashi Imi Nashi, which means no resolution, no climax, no meaning. What? That's literally what it means. So the whole point of Yowee shows when I was first created was that it wasn't supposed to be like this like, oh, you know, brand new like kind of storytelling or you know, trying to explore some kind of like new fictional territory. It was literally just take a formula that has already existed. It put us number of characters into some kind of like conflict type of thing and then immediately resolve it just because they're pretty boys. That's the whole point of Yowee. Interesting. Oh, okay. Yeah. So you saying that all a lot of the Yowee shows were kind of the same? It's because that's kind of the whole point of the genre. But then I still felt like even because you know, all these artists, storytellers were from Japan, there was always the distinctive Japanese flavor to it that I felt like was really fascinating. Yeah. Because what might have been normal or given to them in a story was kind of like, wow, this is an interesting choice from my pop perspective. Definitely. So I already enjoyed it. But yeah, going back to the list, which one do you think was their first one, Sailor Moon? Sailor Moon into the Uriana's pipeline into everything else. I think it's the Sailor Moon into the Goran Lagon. Yeah. Oh, wait, you're saying? Wait, Goran Lagon? Wait, where's Goran Lagon? It's all right. That's Goran Lagon. Oh, wait, no, is that Goran Lagon? I think that might be Birdie again. That's all right. I don't know why that looked like Yoko for a second. Yeah, that's that. Can we check if that's Birdie the mighty decode again? Oh, it is Birdie. Yeah, I'm just like, yeah, I guess. That looked like Yoko for a second. Yeah. Um, I mean, we know the gender. That's bad. I reckon that when he six or seven, I think they're older. You think? Yeah, because I don't think many people, I don't think many, 20 or OK, look, I'm saying this, but like, get out of Joey out of it. Yeah. I don't know many 20 year old who watch like Fafner or like Razzafon or like, this is a pre-old show. It gives off millennial energy. Yeah, it's called a comp on my finger on it. Yeah. I'm gonna say 26. Honey and clover Fafner and Razzafon is millennials. Fuck. It's just something about this gives off millennial energy. She, like, they're not, I don't think she's like deep into the, yeah, we kind of like in the, the Yahweh pipeline. Um, I don't think she has like a fan fiction to an air count or anything like that. Um, but I think she, you know, saw you're in ice and she's like, whoo, you know, whoo. I think I'm discovering something right now. Boys, boys, pretty boys. I'll say 26. You say 23. 26 and I'll say, what's the middle one? Cirque in a Fafner. Yeah. Yeah. What is that? It's from like, fuck, it's like 2000. This is, this is seniors. Yeah, this is, yeah. Yeah. That was a little bit. Yeah. That was a little bit. I'm surprised you've never seen this one. God. 2004, right? Yeah. 2004. Very senior. Yeah. Yeah. I don't know why. I feel like this person, this person hides the, how this person hides the power level. I feel, I don't know why, you know, you know, you know, some people who are like openly anime fans, you know, I, I, I think, you're saying there's like the conservative picks. Huh? You saying there's like the conservative picks from them? No, this is, I feel like this person is that, uh, that cowork in the office that just seems very normal and you don't know what kind of like likes and hobbies they have. And then you have like one conversation, you're gonna hobby. And you have the one conversation you're like, uh, and you're like, oh, I watched a taciton and they're like, oh, I like anime as well. You don't know, you don't realize how deep they've got into the rabbit hole because some of this is pretty deep. Like Rassafon. Yeah. That's pretty, that's pretty deep, you know, um, what I was usually as well. I mean, pretty boys. I mean, that, that is also just a great show in general. Uh, um, it's not just the pretty boys, but a lot of these Dong Hua do have a lot of pretty boys and a little bit of yowee-basing. Um, but I still exceptionally well written shows as well. Uh, I'm going to 31. I'll say 20. I'll stick to my guns. 20x. I'm gonna say a little bit long. I'm gonna say like 33. I think, uh, I think they're, uh, I don't say American fuck. I'll say. Um, I think the, I think the Asian. I don't know why. I want to get a real Asian with this list. I don't know why I think maybe Asian American Californian. Okay. Okay. Wow. Wow. Yeah. I'm, I'm, I'm like, uh, all right, Jerry. Yeah. I'll say like, you know what? I'll say like, I'll say like Asian Australian. Maybe Asian Australian. Let's have a look then. What? Where are they from? Skull. Skull. Skull. Skull. Skull. Skull. Skull. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. are adorable, great story arcs. The show Gea isn't too of a bearing either. You're an ice coming back into anime. Oh, they went out of anime for a while and got back to him. Great answer. Not tell you. He just said you're your ice. Burdy the mighty decode, a really interesting show or some characters. There's also people need to check the show out. Honey and Clovis saw a show makes you laugh one minute and cry the next. Proposalize of life that is in college and not high school for once. Sok you know, Fafner, a good Maca series where the premise of character store you in all of the content to go through well with the different seasons and series. Mowdau sushi, technically a Chinese animation but a good one nonetheless amazing art and characters. We Wuzian is awesome. The novel series that is from is so damn good. Sok I, so I played a bit of a BL show, sent it around three different couples, just a fun watch. Raza fun. Raza fun. I played my favorite makers still to this day. A really interesting premise of backstory. I'm still trying to figure out some of the details could count as too high recommend sale. I mean the anime that started all for me. Okay, yeah. Yeah. Makes sense. Prom. Exactly what I said. A bloated classic magical girl show so near and dear to my heart. Shout out to all the women who watch Trash Taste. Yeah. Shout out to the pillars. You're like, let's holding up Trash Taste. Yes. For real. Thank you. Rolls, I was that was pretty spot on. Yeah. You got that. I'm happy with that. Yes. That was that was a good read. Oh yeah. That's my one. The next one. Let's check it out. Oh, I should have said Canada. I was new. You should have. I was like Asian because I I still I still feel Asian Canadian. Yeah. I was like I just I complete blanked on the Asian Canadian there. Okay. Well, okay. So what does they've chose like chosen like the most beautiful images for each show here? Okay. So the only ones I can immediately pinpoint are. Okay. So which is the top right and the darling in the Franks. Darling in the Franks. I didn't recognize that. Darling in the Franks. Yeah. That is darling in the Franks. A lot. So the one on it. Star driver in the middle. Star driver. The one on the right is I can't remember whether it's the one where it's there. It's a sports anime and their running. So you did. We probably have the list. So you can look at the list. Sam Rife of the manco. Jesus. Okay. Oh, that's Sam Rife. I think it's my friend. I'm going to go. So. All right. Let's see. So from left to right. Fafnit Exodus. Darling in the Franks. And that'd be the castle in the sky. Alfonso. Yeah. Star driver. Run of the wind. That was a name. Sam Rife of the manco. Gorilla gone. And Sagra the reset. Oh, that's Gorilla gone in the bottom. I mean, I did not recognize that. That's Gorilla gone. Okay. This is going from the composition. Already. Bro wanted to stand out. They were not satisfied with just picking the basic first image that comes up on Google images. Yeah. No. Bro wanted to. What are the aesthetic? Yeah. Bro wanted to make a aesthetic. Bro wanted to be picked. Yeah. To the audio listeners watching this. They are not like the normal artwork to represent the series. They're like beautiful. They're like new editions. Yeah. Some of the scenes. Yeah. Which makes our job a little harder. Configure which one makes me think that this is not the first three by three that they've made. Yeah. You know, this is like a really curated three by this is a very curated three by three. I'm guessing they have a lot of pride in their list. Yeah. Sometimes people who make three by three that they want to be like, what's that one? Oh, that one. I'm glad you're like. Let me show you. It's actually from a one-man team. A guy who lived on the Sado Island for 15 years solar, developing the show. It's like brother. I just wanted to know what the show was. But I can't talk about a lot of these actually because I haven't seen a lot of them. I know the names, but you haven't seen most of these either. Yeah. Maybe you can enlighten us. Yeah. I mean, the only one I haven't seen is the top left one. Yeah. Which is a sick fucking picture by the way. Yeah. I don't even know what that is. Saga Rada reset. Can you such up Saga Rada reset? Because I feel like I have seen that one. I know the names are mostly these, but I haven't. But I don't remember. Yeah. It's hard being an anime fan. It shows to watch. So many shows. It is. So many shows to watch. Sam Rife Lameko is wild though. That means that they are able to appreciate something for the concept and the unique vibe, even if it just completely jumps a shark. Saga Rada reset. What did you do this come out? 2017. 2017. I feel like I've seen this, but Okay. Bro has seen like over a thousand anime. Yeah. That's one thing that I can be pretty sure. Yeah. This is not the first time they've had to curate their list like this. Can we go back to the list? They definitely have like a 90s of my anime list account. There is no way. This is... I would take those odds. I would gamble on them. I would dare say they probably at one point, maybe even now still write my anime list reviews. I don't know if they do write my anime list reviews. There's a difference between my anime list reviews and people who just like to catalog stuff. Right. Yeah. They cataloging as therapeutic. Yeah. I feel like... I feel like they're a software engineer. Or something... Something... Something like that. That's what I assume. I don't know. I don't know. It's just the way that they've laid this out. I think they take a lot of pride in what they consume. Yeah. I think they take a lot of joy in being able to share that media with others. Yeah. The sense I get from the shows they've picked, but also the images to represent them. And the way they've laid them out. It feels very conscious. Yeah. I don't know much about these shows. So I don't have much to go off of. I think they're a bit older. I'm going to say they're perhaps... Well, Dapi does from like the late 80s. Yeah, but there are a lot of anime fans now who look for a lot older anime to kind of put on their... I mean, I'll say a 30, 31. I will say a... Like one thing that is... You'd be to a... This list is that there is a lot of shows in here that I personally think are very, very fucking good and barely anyone talks about. Like, run with the winds, I think, is Loki like one of the best sports anime. For me, Juan, we were as well. Is one that nobody watched because it was like everyone amers on prime. And that is... I heard a lot of really good things about this show. And it is a really great personal drama. And it's such a... On such a niche topic as well, it's about these guys who make a dictionary. And you think that it's such a boring concept, but it, you know, it genuinely is a really, really moving human drama. Samurai Flamenco was really weird and really strange. It was basically like a kick-ass, but in anime form. And then there was this really weird thing that happened like midway through that really made it jump off the cliff, in my opinion. I haven't seen it in so long. I'm surprised even fucking remember what these shows were about. I'm supposed to try to acknowledge. I know. I'm supposed to try to. I know. Yeah, I don't know. I feel like... I feel like... I feel like Bro either has a job and anime is their only hobby. I feel like you have to. If you're going to go this deep. Yeah. You know? Yeah. Cause... Oh, I don't know. Cause they definitely were like, yeah, Gorilla Garm was my first anime. Or the one that got me into anime. Yeah. And then Nopi Doe was probably the first anime film they watched. Yeah. And then it was just a slippery slope after that. You say it like it's a problem. Well, I mean, I'm not saying it's a problem, but like this person clearly put like stupid amounts of hours into the medium. Let's look at our guesses. I'm saying 31. Definitely American. 35. 35, uh, British. I am going to go to Nah, they need to be at least of like to watch this much anime. Star Driver means that they're like mecca. This is really thinking about this. Yeah, yeah. Uh, let's let's let's go 33. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Let's have a look at those. Let's see. Are we going to be surprised, you think? I have a feeling we will. Yes. Okay. Here we go. 20, 20, 20, 20, Australia. Oh, okay. Okay. I said 31. You said 35. So we were off. Dead. Damn. Wow. 26. And you've been. Man, all right. When the music lives in like the boonies, there's nothing to do but watch anime. Maybe. Uh, original Mechel show, second season of the, uh, so about FNaFNA, the original Mechel show, second season of the series, really emotional, depressing at times, but at the same times, feels hopeful. Darling in the Franks, yes, I heard everyone's criticisms. And I agree with a lot of them. For me, it does not take away the core emotional moments at the show. I'm very beautiful, especially episode 13. Laptop cast in the sky, favorite music film, really like the night between the two main characters and really good ending. Finne Moama, the great passage, novel adaptation to story about a bunch of people making a dictionary, but somehow, has some of the most emotional moments I've seen in anime. All packed in 11 episodes. Okay. Star driver, original Mechel, probably my favorite anime of all time. Wow. It's between this and something very late. Very episodic storytelling has a lot of repetition between episodes. Very cheesy and stupid, but I love the energy and definitely carried by the animation and music in many ways. That's one of my favorite anime endings ever. Wow. Okay. Rum of the wind. The adaptation definitely changed more things, but I would argue it made it better in many ways. Again, very emotional times and definitely my favorite sports anime. Samurai Famenco, original anime. This is one of the crazy stories I've ever experienced. There's so many plot twists. It starts as a show that seems to parody while celebrate the super center genre. It starts getting weird, but somehow was able to return to the original tone by the end. Gone. Sound like he disagreed. Goon Lagom, point my favorite anime of all time. There's encounters with plot development and the theme and message just really speaks to me. Sagarrata reset. Sub-sagarrata reset. Lina adaptation. It's a complete adaptation. Twenty four episodes. Some of the most interesting dialogue themes and use of superpowers. I've seen while telling a story of a love triangle. Okay. Real mixed bag of like themes and like types of storytelling and stuff. And clearly a person who's extremely passionate about the anime is a medium. Yeah. Definitely someone who has explored like every like, you know, not just every genre of storytelling in anime, but definitely like all of the small little sub-genres of anime as well. So really like pinpointed the ones that they like. Yeah. They said they felt like samurai for Mankara returns to form by the end of the anime. Oh, okay. That's like my dad when I first showed him anime. Oh, okay. Cool. Okay. You like this? You like this? Anyway, Dynas ready. Yeah. All right. Let's do one final three by three and see if we can get close. We've been close on a couple of these, but yeah. I feel a lot of these have been quite surprising. All right. Here's the last one here. Oh, look. There's a bar. There's a familiar one. That's the top left there. What's that? Well, uh, Burah's great taste. Uh, what can I say? Bro, maybe Bard watched his ninth anime. Yeah. All of these are so new. Except for the code guise. Who would be the first one here? Yeah. But I mean, yeah, great taste, man. So the list is Bond, Linklick, Steinsgate, uh, code guise. I also get the name. I think the one's on the chat. It sounds like John's. Yeah. Paul the Kerry Dyr is by the Evergarden, Orb and free Ren. Oh, yeah. Sorry to the audience, but didn't tell you right away that. Yeah, that's, uh, that's nine. They're all quite modern, uh, all over 2010. Yes. Yes. Yeah. So, yeah. You know, code guise, I don't think that's a really a determiner of anything because a lot of people go back to watch code guise. Uh-huh. Just like one of the guys. Yeah. Code guise and Steinsgate are like the two classics, I feel. You'll always see people tweet. They'll be like, just watch Steven Slayer. Can I just recommend me another anime? People always like code guise. Could guise. Yeah. Or death to it, obviously. Yeah. They're one of the gateway anime. Yeah. Yeah. So definitely young, um, impracticable, not necessarily young, but got into anime. I feel, uh, recently, yeah, I feel like it's post COVID got into the anime. I have. Perhaps, you know, um, a lot of shows that we've recommended heavily and talked about a lot. Yes. I think nearly all of these shows, maybe except for Violet Evergarden, we've spoke about some kind of length. Yeah. I mean, Violet Evergarden kind of speaks for itself, I feel. I think I made a video on all of these shows. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Call me crazy. Uh, they're a gone enjoy. They might be Southeast Asian. I think they're, I think call me crazy. Okay, go up into country. Uh, fucking Thailand. Okay. I'm gonna say I feel a pain. So I'll say like Singapore. They are, they are 19. 19? Yeah, I'll say like 20, 21. John. Um, well, they put a barn on there and that either means that number one, they're a giga fan. Yeah. Or number two, that feeling of either being away from home or they're thinking about moving from home. Yeah. That's why I'm thinking they're like a Southeast Asian person who maybe doesn't live in Southeast Asian currently. Yeah. Maybe listen like the UK or the US or say. Maybe in a trade. Maybe in a trade. Yeah. And because it's heavily related to it. Yeah, because a lot of these shows like, you know, free rent and I feel like they're going through a transitional phase in their life. I, that's, that's what I'm reading from this. I'm gonna change. I'm a surgery pan. You said Japan. I could be someone living in Japan. Oh, like a foreigner living in Japan. I'll say, I'll say, that's true. I'm a surgery pan. Okay. I'll stick to, I'll stick to seeing. Yeah. Yeah. I'm, I'm, I'm say 21. Okay. I'm 21. 21 as well. Okay. So, all right. They are. Oh. Age 21. Oh, yeah. Yeah. What's going on? Oh, damn. Okay. Damn. All right. So, bond. First and foremost, didn't pick bond dependent to gant. It just so happens to be the last piece of media that I watched with my father prior to him passing late in September. Both of us loved it. And the time thank you, gant, for bringing a smile to my dad's face in the final days. Oh, man. You're going to make me cry. That's so sweet. That's so sweet. Thank you so much, man. Link click and stay in skate. I truly adore how both these shows approach time manipulation. It's consequences. Code chaos. One of my favorite endings to an anime. And I'm a massive sucker for meca. Terror and resonance. Beautiful memorable and compelling OST. Puck theory diaries. Compaling characters. Beautiful visuals. No ST. Fantastic mix of slice of life. Mystery and drama. Storylines. Well, I'd ever guard my number one comfort anime, whether they're viewing on its own, on the side where I'm painting. All the breath taking and thought provoking. Do I need to say more? No. Free-Ren, love D&D. And this one just is so soothing for me. Oh. That's such a nice sentiment. Thank you. That's right, man. That's very true. And what a beautiful thing. Yeah. And that's the panel thing about media, right? You mean you made Bond never. Yeah. That's the experience. Yeah. Yeah. But really cool. And thank you for submitting your list as well. But thank you for sharing your story as well. But we also all sushed out this person was y'all. Yes. We did sushy. We sushed out to you. A newer anime enjoy. Yeah. Yeah. Based on the list. But it was a, like, it's all good though. You got the classics. Yeah. I would like to know anyone's list who we reviewed today, how close were we to your, you know, if you don't mind outing yourself in the comments.
