Hey koala kids and welcome back to Abbey snoozing news. Our little mini-sode filled with sleepy chatter about the show. Stories from around the koala kingdom, behind the scenes chats, and a few calm thoughts, just to help your body relax and your mind to drift gently towards sleep. Now I wonder if you can guess what tonight's snoozing news is all about. Here's a clue. It's something we see a lot at this time of year, especially around Valentine's Day. When hearts seem to pop up everywhere on cards, in drawings, and even as tasty heart-shaped treats. That's right. Tonight we are talking about love. Febri's often called them unto love, but here in the koala kingdom, we like to think of love as something much bigger than cards, flowers or chocolates. Love shows up in all sorts of ways. It can be loud and joyful, or quiet and gentle. It can make you feel excited and bubbly or calm and safe. Sometimes love is easy to spot. Sometimes it's tucked away in the tiniest moments. So tonight I thought we'd take a gentle wonder through some of the different kinds of love we know. How about I start with some of my own? I love my dog Sunny because she skips and wiggles with excitement every morning when she sees me, and that makes me feel really good inside. I also love making a really healthy lunch for my children to take to school with them, because I know they won't be hungry or struggle with concentrating in the afternoon. I also love the feeling of sunshine on my face on a cold, crisp winter's day. There are many things I love when I come to think about it, my family, my home, the seat that I'm sitting on which my lovely friend made for me. This podcast and every single one of you. Now over in Sleepy Forest our friends have loved their own. Coco for example absolutely loves eucalyptus. I don't think that's a big surprise is it, but what it is, it's the smell and the taste and the calm settled feeling it brings him. After a busy day exploring eucalyptus helps him to slow down and feel grounded again. Keira on the other hand, she loves sharing what she creates, her drawings, her stories, her ideas and her plans for new adventures. And then there are Hector and Sunny, those two love to play tug of war, tumbling and laughing until they're out of breath. They love adventure too, with curious hearts and restless paws. If you've been listening over on Koala Shine, you'll know they've already been off on a wonderfully wiggly adventure to the Topsy Tervy, a world full of silly surprises and Topsy Tervy fun. And if you haven't switched over to Koala Shine for your car rides and lazy Saturday mornings yet, all of those exciting daytime episodes are out now, they're ready whenever you'd like to listen. But love isn't just about the things that make us happy, love can also be about caring for others. It's noticing when someone feels a bit quiet, offering help without being asked or sitting beside a friend who feels nervous. That kind of love can be very soft and quiet, but it matters more than you might think. Some people feel love is a big, exciting feeling, like the love they have for their favourite sports team, they wear the colours, they cheer loudly, they celebrate together. Others feel love for a favourite cuddly toy, the one that's been there for bedtime stories, bad dreams and cozy mornings, that love feels safe and familiar. Love can be a very big feeling, one that makes you want to jump, dance or give the tightest hug ever, but it can also be shown in the smallest of ways, a smile across the room, sharing the last biscuit or sitting quietly together without saying a word. One of my favourite little examples of love comes from penguins. Did you know penguins show love by giving each other pebbles? They search and search until they find just the right one, then they offer it as a gift. No wrapping paper, no big speeches, just a pebble, chosen with care. I think that's a really lovely reminder that love does not have to be loud to be meaningful. And in that same spirit, one of the ways I love to show care for you, our lovely listeners, is by sharing bedtime stories. Little gifts chosen with thought and to help bring comfort at the end of a long day. We have quite a few of those stories to look forward to very soon. And if you're in the Coco Club, you'll soon be able to enjoy a brand new story called Betty Badgers Midnight Muffins, where our friend Betty shares her love of baking with the animals of sleepy forest. Hmm, I wonder what she'll bake. You Coco Clubers can also enjoy our special four-part series Welcome to the Koala Kingdom. If you haven't checked the first ones out yet, the special episodes place you right in the middle of the adventure, exploring with your favorite characters, and discovering all corners of the kingdom in a relaxing bedtime way of course. And for everyone listening, we've also got the Sleepy Lighthouse. This calm seaside story is all about Coco and Keira helping guide a ship safely home when the lighthouse goes dark. I think you'll already like that one. So tonight, as you snuggle down for sleep, I'd like you to think of one thing you love too. A person, a pet, a toy, a team, or something you like doing, just let that thought rest gently in your mind like a little glowing light. Oh, isn't that nice? Well, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling rather sleepy now. I think it's time to snuggle in, take a slow, deep breath. And let those warm thoughts drift away as you head into Dreamland. Sweet dreams, and see you very soon.
