I just stole your fucking podcast Well that that feels like you're like sending a message right there. You're right There's some malice behind that and I ain't giving it back. Okay. All right calm down. I Do want to go. Yeah, I stole Dave Silva. I stole you I stole everything I stole the whole fucking show everything You had to make two trips to get me and so well, there's no way you can carry us both at the same time It's worth the bull trips Hey, we we're talking about a big comeback today, I think the entire wrestling world was maybe Paying attention on Wednesday night when all the sudden Chris Jericho's back in a w like this has been discussed as if it was a foregone conclusion for months and months and months A lot of people were taking bets on hey, what number will he be in the Royal Rumble other people said? Oh, he's gonna be out WrestleMania or the Monday after WrestleMania But instead he's back in a w he appeared on TV this week and of course it was April Fool's Day in Winnipeg you idiot and he said winnipeg a w I'm home and That was it kind of a simple message This is probably a fork in the road a lot of people feel like Meltzer had this to say from a WWE standpoint I don't know what they told him. I know I was told that they wanted him for a retirement tour And maybe that's not what he wanted, but I don't know with AEW perhaps he was gonna get more longevity There's a lot of advantages for AEW and there's always money You may have been offered more money in AEW his money situation is probably pretty great I would think he made a lot of money in these years in AEW I think at this point especially at the age he's at he's gonna want to do what's creatively fulfilling and fun AEW's a little bit of a risk in the sense of he'll probably have more input into what he's gonna do in AEW than he would in WWE But he would have a better audience in WWE. I think for sure The better audience that is certainly part of the deal, but the money is part of the deal Creative freedom is part of the deal What each side's plans are is part of the deal. There's a lot of other factors involved I think there's less risk in WWE in the sense that the crowd is not gonna be as difficult for him in WWE But this was his decision his decision was AEW and I'm sure he considered every one of these points and many other points when making this decision Now a lot of people are gonna have their opinion about this John But that's Dave Meltzer's take on it and I found his discussion to be interesting Specifically for you because you too find yourself in a similar stage of life where hey if you're gonna do something It needs to be fun. It needs to be creatively fulfilling It's not like you need to or have to but you want to and you want to have fun And I feel like sometimes that gets lost I know people get really caught up in the tribalism of her I'm sharing for this company or I'm sharing for that company But I for one think it's awesome that if a guy was able to just lay it all out and he said you know what? I think I'll have more fun with this and sign me up for that. That's awesome, isn't it? Yes, it's awesome and I love every bit of it You know when you're younger you do stuff for money reasons and there's nothing wrong with that You know, sometimes you do stuff and you end up in a gimmick you end up a character You end up in a place that you probably wouldn't choose to be in when you get older and you've taken care of your money like Chris Jericho has you have the options and the options are also and Chris now is just gonna do stuff That's very enjoyable to him and I greatly admire that. I think I think what he's gonna do there's gonna be fantastic Chris always has a new look Chris always has new stuff that he's doing. I got a lot of admiration for Chris I think he's gonna be I think it's gonna be a heck of a run I'm excited to see what's next for Chris too. I think Eric Bischoff is the first person months ago who said I don't think he's leaving I think he'll stay and by God somehow some way he was right Chris Jericho is in AEW we want to know from you guys. What would you have expected? What would you have liked to have seen? Let us know in the comments below Did you think Jericho was going to WWE? Is there a matchup or a story that's out there? You know from your perspective John and I'm not asking you to To have a crystal ball and certainly neither you nor I have any inside information But I think a lot of people see what's happening on WWE and we hear the reports that hey Ray Mysterio was supposed to wrestle Gunther at WrestleMania what Gunther does at WrestleMania still remains to be seen but There's a lot of discourse around Gunther being the Career killer and I think that's even a trademark that WWE applied for for him As a wrestler What could you get creatively fulfilled with Gunther ending your career or would you want more? I guess what I'm saying is it feels like Jericho would probably want a little bit more say Creatively over this is the type of story. I want to tell versus hey, well, we've already got this career killer You get me guy. We just want him to run through you like Creatively I could see how a guy may say I see it differently and there's not a wrong answer here, right? No, there's not a wrong answer, but why I have why in your career, you know Jericho is still apparently very healthy He's still on top of his game. He still looks great To me, there's no reason the end of career. There's no reason to have a retirement tour have a tour But if then if you want to come back again come back again, there's no reason not to I think there's a lot of opportunities That there were at WWE other than Gunther when you had ZM Punk He had Roman Reigns you had Brock Lesnar you had Seth Rollins You had a bunch of guys that Chris has history with that could have been really good I don't think that you know if that was the pitch I can see why he said no Because I would have definitely said no myself Now again to be clear we're not suggesting we have any inside information or we know what Jericho did correct I have no idea if he said that or not. I'm saying if you have pitched that I can see why he said no, but because of I Don't say I don't think there's a people always have to do retirement tours Right sometimes you can just leave it open-ended you come back for a while People see you and then you can disappear and if you want to come back again come back again Now you have left left it kind of open-ended for a while. I mean we've talked about it for a bit that hey You're at least considering doing some more stuff and having one more song and dance As you think through that do you have in your mind's eye like things you would like to accomplish? I'm not asking you to spill the beans and give everybody all of your plans But do you sort of have a vision for what that looks like for you? Or is it more of a feeling like you'll know it when you hear it sort of thing? I have an exact vision of what I think that it should be but I also have just some cool ideas that are out there They kind of got pitched to me Herb They're pitched to me an idea down in St. Louis about coming in and tagging with the warlord and barbarian and You know just a one-off match. I've never tagged with the barbarian or warlord. That's that's a very appealing to me That would be a lot of fun. That's kind of one of those bucket things that you know You can you could check off and that's kind of cool Doing something like that would be fun You know you know been a six-man tag with a couple of you know legends that you've never been in the ring with That's appealing to me Yeah, I feel like most guys probably have some sort of vision don't you imagine I mean when you're doing You know autograph appearances on the weekend and things like that I know that there's lots of you know Wrestlecon and and Wrestlecade and Starcast and everything in between But you know the big event and and and squared circle expo and there's a whole bunch of other great galaxy con shout out to those guys Do you have conversations like that with other guys who are maybe closer to the end of their career than the art of the beginning about What their vision would be for a last match or is it not something that guys even really talk about or share? Conrad every wrestler that I've ever run into once they got older has an idea of a last angle or a last storyline Every single one of them from when I first started down in Texas to when I went to Japan to when fell up to Europe Everyone has something in mind everyone has something like hey I think I could do you know because these wrestlers are creative these guys are very creative most of them Especially the ones that have gotten over somewhere I had know how to get over and so they know what will work and what won't And so every one of them and I'm telling you every single one of them has an idea of what they would like to do Now that doesn't mean they will do it and it may be their choice not to do it But they do all they are every single one of them have an idea I Find that so fascinating man. I for one hope that Jericho gets to go out on his terms He gets his match. He gets his story I hope it turns out exactly how he hopes because he's earned that I mean you talk about a guy who's been contributing at a high level For a long long time. He deserves to Control his own destiny. Don't you think I think so completely and I'm also a little bit worried now that I've mentioned Warlord and barbarian. I may be the Ricky Morton of that tag team. Oh Can you imagine? Like what I can't imagine running into that group walking down the Street Yeah, you crossed the road on that one right? I was when I first started training up in Minnesota with Brad Ryan's I walked into the gym that it was Then I forget how many guys were 500 pound bench pressers back This was back in the early 90s. I mean it was ridiculous It was a free chemical factory and I walked in there one day and I saw Warlord who was on top and WB at the time And he had pulled they put 320 on a bar so like 345 and two and a half which I thought that's kind of meticulous to have you know that exact He takes it Backs up with it and I thought what is he doing? He pulled it off a rack He bends over and does bear rose with it and goes and puts it back. I thought holy shit What that guy is ridiculously strong and Barbarian, you know need to hear the the talks about him and haku when they went to Japan That guy is beyond the legend and just the nicest guy in the world. I Would recommend he doesn't do it by the way I talked to he's later. Hey, they try to he's later to do it and I'm being wrong ride with going You know he's a tough dude You golden gloves boxer and I was said he's listen you've got to take the guy's best shot You can't fight back. I said this is they're setting you up failure and he's backed out thankfully our didn't back out But he didn't take the offer and he told us later. He goes. I'm glad I didn't do it There's a guy down in Mexico. I told the same thing. He was gonna go do it I said I would not do that and sure enough he got dropped Jake Jake might be a different guy, you know Jake's a big tough dude and he's I'd hate to get hit by that guy Good Lord man, but I just I'm against the power slap I just think that what they're gonna try to do is they're gonna try to sink somebody out there Who's got a good chance of knocking him out? They're gonna try to rig it against him But I hope he does very well and then he and I think that he probably will oh Wow, okay, so listen this is an angle I hadn't thought of but you're suggesting that perhaps they're gonna try to take Whatever sort of name value that a person like Jake Hager or Heath Slater has Jump it into power slap get that new audience and then have a sleeper guy Build their name off of the WWE name. That's what you think is the angle here 100% Yeah, I'm not Suggested that I believe that's what's happening You know, they've got tons of guys that they've gotten from WB from wrestling They bring on me in and they give them some ringer and that guy they could throw a shot They know pretty much has a good chance of knocking them out and that's what happens They're trying to make a name off these the WWE guys Well, I had not considered that so in a loud and clear voice Your anti guys in the wrestling business doing power slap 100% I am yes If this was a fight, I'd let Jake Hager get there do anything on it because I think Jake would Jake's fine with that, but when you've got to take the shot from somebody There's certain people that can just throw a punch, you know, it's the thing You know, you have a hundred people throw a punch ten people will knock you out one person will break your jaw out about you know These guys that are like this are rare and they've got these guys and they're gonna stack them against them to be guys trying to make a name for themselves Wow, okay, I did not expect to hear that, you know, I I'm pretty good friends with our buddy Sen Boadie down in Las Vegas And I know he's been a big part of getting some wrestling folks involved in power slap But I had not heard the other side that perhaps you're not totally sold on this so I'm not that reason and I don't have anything to back that up. I just believe that's what's going on Well, hey listen, you've been around a day or two, you know a thing or two for sure April 17th is when Jake Hager is gonna be making his power slap debut I don't think it's any accident that that is butted up against WrestleMania weekend Maybe you're on to something but there are gonna be other folks who who venture off into that power slap space If you had to think back through everybody you shared a ring with or shared a locker room with Who would be the one guy or a short list of guys you would absolutely not want to compete against in power slap. Oh It would be a Billy Gunn Oh my god Billy Gunn's got hands like bricks I mean that's so that guy is ridiculously strong You look at him now and then you know, he's got that great body But he's got hands like freaking bricks and of course bar gun You know, everybody know you know found out there guy can knock out a freaking dinosaur, but Billy would Billy's not a guy. I would want to let him hit me About that didn't didn't think I would have heard that name. I'm excited to hear that name Well, his hands were just freaking rock hard. I mean Billy's is one of those guys. He's just double tough guy. I Don't I don't know that we're gonna see Billy Gunn in power slap, but I can't lie I don't I don't know that I should be watching but I am gonna watch Jake Hager in power slap on April 17th Let us know in the comments below. What do you guys think about wrestlers competing in power slap? And will you be watching on April 17th? Hey, I will watch April 17th that I will be rooting for Jake. I love Jake. He's a good dude and I'm rooting for him Don't you think he's one of those kind of misunderstood guys? I think sometimes the internet can take things out of context and maybe run with it a little bit I've never had anything but great experiences with Jake Hager. It's a good guy. I mean a really good guy I mean, Jason wonderful human being you know, he's from Oklahoma, which is a negative but other than that Jason good dude. I mean a really good guy and a tough guy When he was doing the MMA stuff that was awesome. Yes, it was When he's beating the guys and he's you know, acting like he's the greatest MMA fighter ever And he wasn't good at MMA fighter. What a great angle he had, you know where he's beat these guys you know, someone works made of cans and beat these guys and then Bragging about how you do him. He got a lot of heat Yeah, I mean, that's the way it's supposed to be done. He did it right Let's talk about WrestleMania being done, right? There was an interesting exchange and and you were around for this era So I want to bring it up to you. Of course, we just passed the 25 year anniversary of WrestleMania 17 Most of our listeners still hold it in the highest of regards. They consider it to be perhaps the greatest WrestleMania of all time But there was a discussion about WrestleMania after parties that I thought was kind of interesting Brian Your great close personal friend wrote about Celebrating WrestleMania 2000 he said I'll never forget the after party of WrestleMania 2000. No one looked happy It was like Did we just shit the bed with an overbooked mess of a show and desperately need to get back to one-on-one matches with huge personal issues? It was a big letdown that paved the way for the greatest WrestleMania ever in my opinion and listen I think that's sort of day one stuff. You talked to a guy like Jeff Jarrett and he would tell you that his dad and Jerry Loller used to have a sign in their office That said personal issues draw money and I think whenever people talk about WrestleMania 17 They inevitably wind up talking about Stone Cold Steve Austin versus the Rock. It was Mano and Mano it felt very Hulk Hogan Andre the giant WrestleMania 3 I think that's what made it so special and if you do look at WrestleMania 2000 and you take a look at The WrestleMania one year later at WrestleMania 17 it is much different now Of course a big piece of that is there's no Austin But you had a four-man main event with a McMahon in every corner and then you follow that up with rock and Austin That shows you that Vince could sort of pivot and and still make the big show matter doesn't it? Yeah, it does and you know Vince obviously is a genius at what he does He tries a lot of things and understand that you know when you're doing 52 weeks of television a year and you got as many pay-per-views as you have you're gonna get you're gonna get it wrong a few times and You know Vince is very big about okay day one that was wrong. Let's go on to something else and That's that was one of the keys to success for Vince Vince never had a ego big enough That he would not pull the plug on something, you know a lot of CEOs would when they do something and it's wrong They had their ego is so big they had to force it through Vince was never that guy Vince would just pull the plug on it. It was one of his incredible traits, but I think yes I mean it's so easy Murdoch used to always say you call my sister a name. I call your mom a name. We fight that that's professional wrestling What's interesting to you take a look at WrestleMania 2000 and I think people will gloss over what Brian was saying But he was saying do we got to get back to these one-on-one matches Do you know a WrestleMania 2000 John there was only one singles match like mono a mono I didn't know that no just one and it was the cat and Terry runnels Everything else was a multi-man match. It was a tag match hardcore battle royal a three-way a Six-person intergender match. Yeah, the only singles match was Terry runnels and the cat Now let's talk about the WrestleMania 17 after-party Brian Solomon who just wrote a fabulous book on gorilla monsoon You should go out of your way to check it out He wrote the WrestleMania 17 after-party was a blast Everyone knew it was a big success Vince smoking a big cigar which was a rare sight with Ed Cohen Motorhead had their own table the gimmick battle royal guys like Kamala Bush wacker and repo man were at a table and Bobby Hinnon was chasing Vince trying to get rehired. I Love this these you know Recollections of these WrestleMania after parties. Do you have any WrestleMania after-party stories? You can share with us And there's the irresistible force about Brian Solomon Yeah, yeah, I had a dance off with Booker T at WrestleMania party and and our wives the only one that can dance obviously was Charmale You know, she was a professional dancer. She could dance so me and Booker had a dance off My wife was doing my wife was doing the worm across the dance floor Charmale refused to be a part of it Vince and Linda were standing on a chair watching the dance off the whole party was and finally We looked at Vince and motion him to come in and Vince a cool deal the Irish goodbye left. Oh Man I'd love I'd pay money to see the footage of you and Booker T and a dance off That would have been tremendous. It was a lot of fun and Charmale was I think pretty much disgusted with us You refused to be a part of it. Is there any chance it was filmed? I Don't think so. I don't know Well, let's talk about WrestleMania because I am curious who's gonna be at this WrestleMania's after-party I don't know if John Cena is gonna be at the after-party, but he is in fact the host of WrestleMania He announced this earlier this week on social media He says that you know, he was on in Hollywood shooting on a set There was a backdrop behind him of a road and he talked about being on the road to WrestleMania a lot of people are saying Hey, this is This is a reaction to ticket sales being saw it's like guys He's John Cena. He should host every fucking WrestleMania. He wants to right? Yeah, absolutely Yeah, and you got to figure out a way to use it. I mean, yeah It's so good at doing anything not just wrestling Cena's so good at giving him a microphone He's fantastic. Let him do anything and Cena's fantastic with it. Yes I have no idea about ticket sales or any of that Cena being the host This is because it's John Cena not because of anything else. I don't believe now I'm not saying that this is going to happen. I'm not even trying to manifest it into happening but in the confines of wrestling, there's an animal that often gets Used to describe they would say that That species of animal to describe John Cena and they do that same thing for a quarterback who now owns Part of the Las Vegas Raiders where WrestleMania is being hosted Do you think we're gonna have some goat interaction with John Cena and Tom Brady at WrestleMania because you want to talk about something going viral? That I don't think it can get much bigger than that really. I don't think it can either and I've always I've thought all along I don't know if you know this stuff with Logan Paul and Tom Brady is a worker not but Even if it's not a word it looks like it's getting into a work and they're gonna do something with it I mean, it certainly is for two of us that were in Vegas or WVs in Vegas now we were WVs in Vegas and You've got this angle with Logan Paul and Tom Brady and you got John Cena being there. I think it'd be fantastic I think I hope Tom Brady does I Think he probably will but I have no inside information on it, but I hope he does I Hope he does too. I hope that we get to see a John Cena Tom Brady interaction. I think it would be real big We talked about Sid last week I'm excited that this week we get to keep the conversation going. It's been made official bad news Brown is going into the WWE Hall of Fame He's one of the unsung heroes of that era of the WWE at least in my opinion. I mean he felt like the ultimate bad guy I loved his series. I think he could have drawn even more money on top against Savage or Hogan. I know they had their interactions, but man, he would have been a great pay-per-view opponent You want to talk about a throwback a guy who was old school a guy who had credibility? I don't know why but he almost feels like he's right out of central casting for a great 80s movie But what do you think about this announcement that bad news Brown finally taking his spot in the WWE Hall of Fame? Hey, let's talk about AJ Styles, you know We've mentioned Chris Jericho Signing back up for Rassel with AEW a lot of people were wondering. Hey, what's AJ gonna do? AJ is going to the indie shows and he says he's looking on these indie shows for talent He's specifically looking to see if something sticks out where he can go. Wow, they're different. There's something about them He says he even encourages people. Hey, if you want to send me that stuff fine, go ahead I'd love to see it. I'm trying to check out and see how much talent is out there I know what it's like to be on the indies having a job and then traveling Sometimes it's hard to get the things that you need So if there's desperate as I am to make it the wrestling business I'd love to see them before anybody else snags them up because that's the way it is I think this is really cool. I think he brings up a great point. I Think in a prior life, he had a landscaping business that was doing really well that he did through the week And then he would wrestle on the weekends Trying to juggle both is probably not easy. I love that AJ acknowledges. He's looking for that passion He's kind of saying the quiet part out loud. I think that's pretty cool Yeah, it is and finding these guys like this and that's a little bit different You know, there's always guys that could come along that you find that are really good like amateur wrestlers or college football players Or pro football players or something. He's a hey, would you want to try wrestling? There's always that guy That's a great athlete. It's gonna be able to transition and make that move It just it's a lot easier. It's a lot more success from a guy who's already has the passion for it And when you find these guys, you've already known that these guys love the business They're they've learned everything they can about the business and they're gonna be there through thinking that you don't always know That about the guys that you bring in that are just great athletes So I think it's great what he's doing and I've never seen a time gone ready in my life 30-plus years. Well, there's more talent on the indies right now. It is just unbelievable I go to these indie shows these shows are fantastic It's just shocking how good they are They're used to you go to the indies shows and you'd see one or two good matches And then you see some guys that are just trying to learn and not that good, you know local theater But you're seeing now really good shows Well, we're gonna be talking a lot about the indies today stay tuned if you've enjoyed the last few weeks We are going to continue our streak of curtain joker segments and we've got a very special member of the indies You've recently seen and heard about him. We'll come back to that in just a moment I wanted to see if you saw the big news from the indies over the weekend You say there's a lot of talent on the indies and I agree There's also some shenanigans every now and again. Did you see that cruel the independent wrestler was stabbed over the weekend, John? No, I didn't stab to the right. Yeah. Well, he was stabbed by a fan as the story goes At the start of the show I was speaking to cruel cruel told me that the guy went up to the merch stand at the start of the show I started asking cruel how much all of his merch was and then went I'm not f and paying that and walked away Guy was front row during cruel's entrance. He's like a big monster. He walks around The guy steps in front out of the front row and steps in front of cruel on his entrance like squared up on him Cruel obviously didn't break character and made him look silly and then during the match Like I think the guy got knocked out of a seat Video that you see happens after the show Now currently the guys went up to cruel's merch table at the end of the show squared up with him and started going Let's effing go then let's effing go and tackled him in the tackle That's when he must have shanked him because cruel didn't realize he got stabbed until after So this was a big brawl and if you've seen the footage you do see that There's a fan who's probably had too much to drink And we won't say the fans name here because that's probably what he's looking for and he steps out in front of cruel Do I happen to know in real life to be a nice guy? Well cruel stayed in character like you're supposed to do and I guess this guy felt punked or challenged by that and Maybe he got a little more alcohol in him and had some liquid courage and decided to attack him And as the story goes I know the the the word being thrown around his staff and I guess technically it is But I think cruel believes the guy hit him with his keys and the keys punctured him Either way though this feels old school. It makes me think of that Oli Anderson stabbing story that we've heard What do you make of this story? Is there a teachable moment in here? Have you ever had a Not our customer a fan bring a blade out on you or anything like this. Oh, yeah I was in Vienna and I was wrestling Luke Boyer who's gonna by the name Rambo over there he was later in the Truth Commission really good wrestler great great guy who's a champion and Got a little too much heat and I'm about to much he got a lot of heat and I couldn't get back to the dresser So I realized I can't get back to the dressing room well the local Vienna security will not help me You know, they're they're not gonna fight their own people So now I realize I'm I'm in got a real problem here So Otto sends all the heels out of the dressing room become get me and make sure I'm able to get back to the dressing room because I'm Things are about to get really bad. I don't know it But a guy behind me is pulled a butterfly knife and he's like made this big thing about it You know and he's gonna speak me in the back. I don't see any of this Finley does and Finley comes running at the guy and then they say me from being sad I don't know if you know how to be killed but the guy was gonna stick a knife in my back The guy was so scared of Finley. He threw the knife down Ran and went up a like a the bleachers and jumped over a fence and took off running Man what a crazy business you got in I hear stories like that and I sure am glad I learned how to do mortgages instead No, thanks, but I want to say this too obviously After that fan, I hope he's banned and never allowed back in an independent running show But I will say this is probably not bad if your character is An unbeatable monster who doesn't speak and you look like the cruel character and the story is out Hey, yeah, I got stabbed him and he just kept fighting never went down and then patched himself up Got on a plane and went home that's probably good for the monster business. Don't you think yes? It is, you know you hate for stuff like this to happen but when it happens you got to make a little hate with it and This is actually something that's very good for the guy It's something else that was really good over the weekend. I wanted to mention that happened Well, this isn't good. I hate the way I framed that Steve Macklin got knocked out during the T&A main event He's challenging Mike Santana. We like both of those guys. What a notable worthwhile main event You see that errant super kick it was on the button and ain't ballet shit happens I don't think there's any hard feelings But Macklin gets knocked out and he is of course eventually diagnosed with a concussion. He is fine He picked his Twitter to say thanks everyone for the calls text and tweets. You can eff and kill me I'm bulletproof hashtag Macklin. I think that's great but the thing that I'm Most excited about and happy about is this is the main event of a freakin pay-per-view This is a special show for not only the competitors fans and the promotion and now the main event is Over because the referee stops the match Chris Nowinski actually took the Twitter and said shout out to this is T&A referee Alice Lane for recognizing Steve Macklin Had a concussion and stopping his main event match against Mike Santana at hashtag steep T&A sacrifice Save them both from a potential catastrophic injury had they continued a T&A president Carlos Silva actually awarded the referee Alice Lane and Eddie Edwards all-star awards for the way they handled the Steve Macklin situation in the Sacrifice main event Eddie Edwards came down and created some physicality for Mike Santana to just Give the fans something and send them home happy But you know John it hasn't been done this way for a long time. Normally, it's hey I don't care if you tore my freaking quad. I'm gonna finish the match and We've said for a long time. Well, we're gonna drug test and we're gonna do you know impact protocol and concussion protocol and all these impact tests and we're gonna do all this stuff for the To help the athletes to protect the athletes and then sometimes you're like, yeah, but they continued the match This time they did not and it was the freaking main event when the stakes have seemingly never been higher But instead of the wrestling community said I can't believe we didn't get our main event I think the entire community kind of came together. It was like hey, they made the right call T&A doing this. I think is a huge step forward for the whole wrestling industry I think this is now acceptable in WWE or in a WWE and I realized if this was the main event of WrestleMania a lot of people Would be disappointed But if we're gonna prioritize the health of the athletes, I think this is a great thing John. What do you think? Yeah, I think it is and it also come right this is wrestling. We can make anything work You know in a fight obviously you have guys get knocked out and shit happens You know you had Tyson knocked out Spinks in 94 seconds You know things happen Things happen in fights and wrestling matches. You can make it some something with this You know you take care of the talent and then you just announced the guy got knocked out Make a storyline out of it. You make something with it. He still take care of the talent. So yes I think it's a win for everybody. I think it's good for what they do I think you've got to take care of the talent But also it's a matter of you know listen to wrestling we create our own story likes so based off this You can make a pretty good storyline office with the guy just got knocked out and then you can make something that to advance this match Shout out to Carlos Silva to the referee to Eddie Edwards to Mike Santana to Steve Macklin This is a great thing. It is a great moment for the wrestling business and Well, we got some really fun stuff still to come. I can't believe it But we've got one of my favorite segments coming right up. It's wrestle worth I can't believe what we found you're gonna absolutely love some of this stuff But first let me tell you what else you're gonna love Bluetooth gold You know listen if your lady or your fellow or whoever that person is who's sending you that eggplant emoji at 2 a.m Is ready for better sex than by God you should be too And that's where Bluetooth comes in they've been on a mission for years to get you bricked up build your confidence and help you Actually perform in the bedroom their new arousal boosting formula Bluetooth gold is helping millions of men have better sex in 2026 while most edmads only focus on blood flow Bluetooth gold actually goes further by combining two ingredients for blood flow with two ingredients for mental arousal and connection So you're not just physically ready. I Wonder what some of our listeners may have just hanging around their house that they've been curious Hey, what is this worth? So call this the wrestling version of antique road show? Of course, we couldn't do that without a resident expert and we've got an expert today. Don't we John? Yes, we do Well the world's best experts Tony from Harry to joxins is with us Tony. What's going on man? How are you bud? That introduction was far too kind by the way Wait, we're excited to have you here man We know that you are on a march to wrestle kind Hopefully all of our listeners who are going to be in Las Vegas will be able to stop by and check out wrestle con It's the place to be outside of the WWE tent this WrestleMania weekend And of course right in the the center of this the crown jewel in my opinion of wrestle con this year is going to be the heritage Auctions display Because you've been telling us you've got some really great things lined up Not just the WCW United States title that I'm sending not just the ECW entrance letters that we talked about last week That I'm sending but also the Hulk Hogan boots that just sold for a million dollars You're gonna have those on loan and the rumor and innuendo is you just had some new things come across your desk I can't believe this is real, but there's another Hulk Hogan wrestle mania boot. I saw this on heritage website I can't wait for you to tell us about this food. Yeah, I mean, it's so exciting because you know We had a pair of NWO Hogan boots that sold for like I think it was ninety one thousand It's kind of funny because you've got the book ends of its WrestleMania career We we sold the WrestleMania ones for the over one million and now we've got actually the WrestleMania 19 that you wore it's an airbrush One of the boots that he wore against Vince McMahon No less and it's a great looking boot and it's airbrushed on and the thing is he wore that also So he wore it against Vince in WrestleMania He also wore it no way out against Iraq and he wore it in preparation I think when he challenged Vince McMahon to the match so It the thing that really stands out on this is it's in great shape You know the air brushing a lot of times was it meant to last a long time there's a little bit of chipping on it, but they're really nice shape and it's a lot easier to photomap that because Literally, it's a one-of-one. They didn't make extra pairs of these things and so you've got we're gonna have the pair that just sold for a million And we're gonna have the last pair that he wore at a WrestleMania so it's really exciting and it's just it's just amazing to see the growth in the wrestling collectibles and It's happened so fast. I know I remember years ago when things were not any not even a fraction of what they are now And it's amazing to me to see the growth of it in such a in such a short amount of time It is interesting to think that you know here to Jocuns has now been I guess a part of Hulk Hogan's WrestleMania journey You got sold his first pair of boots for over a million dollars Thanks to Gerald briscoe you had what we thought would be his last WrestleMania at WrestleMania 9 But now you've got what actually wound up being his last match his official match at WrestleMania 19 And John when you think about the historical significance, I mean, that's That's sort of like the inception of wrestling right there when you've got Vince McMahon versus Hulk Hogan, don't you think? Yeah, absolutely and especially because it is Vince McMahon against Hulk Hogan I mean you had these guys had to go in and kiss each other at some point, you know They even by the way, that's Nolan enough or Nolan ride my cat back there that is Helping me with the he's eyes in the heritage options. He wants to fit on Hulk Hogan's boots Well With Vince McMahon is just it's such a big deal that you got to have Vince McMahon against Hogan at some point You know, it's like some cold versus rock You know, these are the two big icon guys and you at some point these guys had to go kiss each other and these are the boots from that match So Tony these are gonna be up for auction of these gonna be a part of the May auction with heritage Yes, they're gonna be in our May 15th to 17th auction which we are putting the finishing touches on then in the next two weeks and It's it's gonna be a wrestling Category has just grown and grown and grown now So there will be a lot of things and not just boots that like as you mentioned, we've got a lot of cards We've got we also have a map Cardona's figures some of his prototype figures with he which he can sign to our Boy auction and then we've got a link sampling of tickets and photos There's kind of something for everybody, you know, not just the fifty thousand dollar boots or hundred thousand our boots There are some lesser items as well. So it's a great sampling It's just it just shows you that the wrestling Collectible industry has never been better never been hotter and what it's done is I think a lot of people are going to the Addict looking for things looking for tickets stopped from some of these events that you know, it really surprises me like rest the first WrestleMania The PSA population report There's not a lot of tickets from there that have been graded which is surprising You would think there would be a lot more of them out there. So people are really starting to unearth a lot of Collectibles I would say you don't have you don't have my card on his tanny bed. Do you? I Can ask him I don't know I don't think we want to run a blacklight over that one Hey, let's talk about WWE getting in on the action here We've talked about them auctioning off with fanatics the knee brace from what we feel like is probably stone colds last WrestleMania match it was one of his two knee braces he wore that night against Kevin Owens a WrestleMania 38 But maybe most interestingly they've announced that on April 15th, they're going to be auctioning off the Undertaker's casket So this would be from the Boneyard match at WrestleMania 36. It's autographed by the Undertaker and AJ Styles This is lovingly known as a cinematic match from the COVID WrestleMania And I think most people would look at that COVID WrestleMania and by and large kind of Love to forget the thing except for this particular match this one was beloved John This is interesting. Did you ever see you think you'd see the day where WWE is auctioning off Undertaker casket? That's a great idea. No, I wish they'd done it before I ended up in a bunch of them Yeah, you know, I've been so many different caskets and they always were in me You know, I did up in the casket and they would always, you know, somehow can't find the key So I always knew when I got in the casket at the end of a match I go to my house show that there's a good chance I'm not getting out of this thing for a very long time And they love like sticking me on top of Orlando Jordan in the casket My gosh Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean there was a very large man and usually they would stick us opposite You know, so I'm sitting there with this crotch right in my face in the casket That's not exactly where it's like I did not get in the business for this You know at some point I'm sitting there and I'm just like in a casket with a guy and I'm like My face is the wrong place on him. Yeah, it's not going. I'm thinking this is not where I want to be Well, what we do want to be I was thinking about wrestling the free birds. I was not thinking about being in a casket with another man You're spitting facts this morning I do want to bring the light that we did get a submission and you might be thinking to yourself self I've got something in my man cave I've got something in my closet I've got something on my desk at work that I want to get valued Well, hey, you can do that All you got to do is send us a picture of your item and send us the story related to it It's wrestle worth at gmail.com and we could feature your submission We just featured Dave Miller's carry von Eric tights or David von Eric tights rather and now we've got a belt And boy, this is near and dear to my heart. Actually, it looks like we've got two belts First up this these are both from Felipe Trudell Who says I have a ring used HCW tag team belt this belt was made by Reggie parts The HCW promotion is a Hawaii based promotion owned by Don Morocco between 2003 and 2008 Wrestlers who want it was a local wrestler, but the belt was defended in cards that have sting DDP and other big names Belt maker belts by Dan confirmed to me that it was a true belt made by Reggie It has his name stamp on the leather and Yeah, there you see it. So not necessarily a widely known belt Certainly not one that was featured on national television or anything like that But a Reggie parts made belt now Reggie, of course is no longer with us a true craftsman of the business and I'm curious. What do you think if you had to guess that a Reggie parts ring use belt like this would be worth? I would think it'd be in that five thousand maybe seventy five hundred dollar range You know the thing about the belts is they never made extras of these things they made literally made one belt a lot of times and They just display so well in a man cave if you've got outfits if you've got autographs The first thing people are gonna are gonna see is a belt and that just grabs people's attention like nothing else It's a beautiful looking belt intricate design and I would I would put it to that five thousand seventy five hundred dollar range because I'll be honest belts Rarely get offered and to have a real one It's a hard thing to find because so many of them I'm not saying that they got thrown away, but so many of them they would use them and use them and use them and sweat and everything To have one like that and it's a great looking belt too. So I would put in that five thousand seventy five hundred dollar range Well, there you go Sounds like you've probably got a good investment on your hands just because it's got Reggie parks name associated with it and the other most famous name From championship belts in the 90s is Joe Marshall belt collectors know him as J. Mar and Felipe has that one too He says the other belt I have is a ring used XWF world title belt Made by J Mar the XWF was Jimmy Hart's promotion. He ran in 2001 The belt was won by Vissra Jerry Lawler and a few others and was defended in Puerto Rico I have the ring used one as another copy with red backing was also made One of the snaps is missing it can be seen on TV on a YouTube video So yeah, I love these defunct promotions You know, I think a lot of people certainly once upon a time Hulk Hogan and the nasty boys and hell even Tony Shivani had high hopes for the XWF, but it wasn't meant to be This is a neat little Strip down memory lane. What do you suppose this XWF belt could be worked that one might be a little bit more that one You could be approaching $10,000 on because I mean there's a few bigger names associated with That one. I think now the first bell I think just I think it looks a little nicer than this one But that being said, I think that that the second belt is gonna have a little more value to it Well, how about that? We got a J Mar we got a Reggie parts and we want to hear from you If you've got something on your shelf and you've always wondered Hey, what is this worth when you email us will tell your story and certainly share your images and let Tony give a valuation But it's not a commitment to list anything for sale, but you know, I've had a good run here John I've showed I've shown my WCWS title and to be honest, Tony kind of caught me off guard with evaluation So he now has the belt it will be a wrestle con and be a part of the May auction But last week John he knocked my socks off again with the ECW entrance letters I'm happy to report that you have those now too, Tony They arrived today and I'll tell you what I was there when they opened it up and to see that again Was amazing. I got chills when I have when I first saw it and all I could think of was Paul Heyman's blood sweat and tears were on that thing Makes it worth more or less John, but yeah We do have one other item that I want to get your your take on and I can't believe I'm Considering this but I've got a little bit of a hot streak. I think I'm gonna push my luck John Tony I'd love to get your opinion on one of the two original ECW arena signs Of course ECW is the darling promotion of the 1990s and you can see there on the corner of Swanson and Ritner Above each of those roll-up doors is an ECW arena sign And once upon a time I owned both of those I was lucky enough to procure both of those But the one that I want to have valued here by you today is the one that they auctioned off after hardcore homecoming 2005 So this was the big celebration just a couple of days before ECW's one night stand Friday June 10th South Philadelphia and the former ECW arena It was a band of misfits put together by Jim Jeremy borash the folks who wouldn't be on the WWE show Guys like Shane Douglas and Terry font they could appear here and what a card it was afterwards Of course as a reminder the year prior Chris Candido had passed away But the conclusion of the show John they did like a impromptu auction for one of the ECW original Signs on the outside of the building and it was autographed by the folks who were participating in the show And as a nice little added bonus and I think slam wrestling you've been wrote about this Tammy Sitch flashed the winner. So yeah, we've got a bunch of autographed wrestlers on it Here's my sign that has been shipped or will be being shipped if if I get the The right kind of information here today there you see my dad We had just removed it from storage and needed to know hey, how do we even box this thing up? So there he is to get a quote in bed. I mean, how do we box this thing up? But clearly there it is the OG original ECW arena sign if this were to be headed your way What do you think this would pull at auction Tony? I think that could do ten thousand because you know, it's such it's a piece that way has so much personality to it That was there for so long and I just love it's got the bingo reference on it You know, you've got the three room and ECW arena I've been telling people for years now. There's gonna be a day where ECW is gonna get a lot of love It had a cult like following first, you know for its existence It was so different During its time. It was just so much different and I mean it gave WWE and WCW a little bit of a run at least made them sweat a little bit But I mean unfortunately they just didn't have the finances but to die hard wrestling fans ECW has a special place in their heart and I think I as they might have said before I remember watching it and thinking what the heck is this because it was on like late at night never had commercials and it was Joey Styles and Paul Heyman and it was just different and There's not a lot of that kind of stuff out there for fans. They did do some some figures, I believe but There's not a lot of ECW stuff out there and now with the advent of the wrestling Collectibles you're gonna see some of this kind of stuff appreciate I think and I'm excited to have this one and I think it's gonna do well in the sale just because People remember Seeing that sign people remember seeing it on TV or if they went to the venue they saw it and It's something that you just can't forget and any of those things that just bring back memories like that It's I think that one's gonna do very well an auction Well check it out go see it at Wrestlekind I can't believe this is real But he's gonna have one heck of a display at Wrestlekind and of course the heritage auction is coming up in May Tell everybody how they can get registered in these auctions and what they need to do to participate in the heritage auction Absolutely, all they have to do is go to H.A.com and they could register there If anybody has any questions or anything my emails Tony Ton Y G at H.A.com and they can message me and I'll definitely help them out if they have any questions about How the whole auction works I can help them out It's gonna be a fun auction and I love writing this material as much as anything I know when we we did the first installment of the Macho Man's collection I had so much fun watching the YouTube videos on it and writing the material and You know, we could we write the Hogan boots the bell the signs and it's a fun time It is a fun time. We we absolutely love having you on and I think You're giving us the teas in the live chat here next week You may have a Goldberg booth that we're gonna talk about is that right? We have a Goldberg boot and we have a 1980s another Hogan boot which is currently being photo matched So we're we should have an answer by next week You know if it's gonna photo match or not But you just see that vintage Yellow boot with the with his older autograph on it and man and then on the inside there's a stamp from the manufacturer, so We can have we're gonna have a little more details on that next week for sure is it the Goldberg boot he kicked Red Heart with We're gonna find the armor that that heart was wearing John can you imagine if you could photo match the boot? Oh my god, right heart's career How many eggs when you go three eggs four eggs, what would he go? That was the boot that knocked out breath and the end is career. Yes for good And I mean anytime you hear Bret Hart talking about Goldberg It's even at shows now people, you know, ask them about Goldberg and it really strikes a nerve with them That's another one when you've got those historic pieces like that You know, we may do The current boot we have I think it's like a 4,000 estimate But if it was you know, I think that's to that event it would go up exponentially probably John I do want to ask, you know, I'm a big bell collector and once upon a time in WWE You held a pretty famous bell and I think it's on a windowsill behind you You think one of these days you could take some pictures and send it to Tony and just let him That may be worth I'd love to yes, because Tony I think it's the I know I'm pretty sure it's the original Because when I lost the title to Cena, Cena turned it in the spinner belt and so I kept the original I mean, I'd kept it as part of the storyline for a while and then I just ended up with it I wasn't like I tried to steal it. I said it with it You know, nobody really cared for what you had back then So it's the original that I got and I believe that's the same one that Eddie Guerrero had. Yeah I mean that's instant instantly six figures on that on that really yeah, absolutely because They're gonna be able to photo match that there's gonna be some of the Enamels gonna be missing or there'll be little bitty things that you can you can find in photos that are gonna match that up and Coming from you Directly is a big big deal in our industry. Anytime you've got it right from the wrestler That's a whole different level. It's a whole different level and then when you can say oh photo match Eddie Guerrero photo match to JBL, you know, you're you're adding multiple layers there. So Tony that melts that's up right above me right over right there That Eddie hit me with it one time. It was so Eddie Eddie says hey good juice essay. I said the blades still on my wrist asshole He's busted me open And that's what he did to me like he thought it was funny See when you add stories like that that gets people excited that gets people bidding that I Can't wait for us to talk about it. Well, he didn't come in weeks If you've got an item that you want Tony to value eight for you. Well, that's easy Send us an email wrestle worth at gmail.com and check us out next week Tony. This did not work out No, I was going to but I So life is a wrestler, right? It's ben big ben, you know like the tower like who's big then The guy we just talked to His name is ben Yes, incredible segment incredible debut on curtain jerkers for big ben bishop Like the clock Yeah big ben Hey, yeah, uh nick name of the ben rothless burger same thing ben You know, I william regal set me up in buckingham palace one time And I went on like a behind the scenes tour and I served drinks in the queen of england's bar True story Yes, I got So they give me a backstage tour there was a guy who was an old wrestling promoter and William regal knew him and he knew how to love, you know, seeing different things He said I can set you up with the backstage like behind the scenes tour of buckingham palace So the guys they give me all over buckingham palace. I didn't get to meet the queen or anything like that But anyway, I'm going to the bar and some guys were in there. I said, hey, can I serve drinks? They go, well, you're our guest I go, yeah, but it'd be fun for me to serve drinks for you guys and say I serve Drinks in the queen of england's bar and they said, okay, cool So I sat there all afternoon serve drinks and then I went to the show that I hadn't had to wrestle big show Um, you killed my mother one of the con story. I think that's one of the con story I don't even I started drinking the civilized world I serve her drinks At the queen's bar and then wrestled big show true story Incredible. I'm not sure about one or lost against big show I've drank with you before and ended up wrestling a big. I mean, you know wrestling a big show if you know what I mean well Yeah, she was beautiful Nothing wrong with that Oh the thing not a thing we call her your man as well. Listen forgive me for being a little bit sick My voice a little bit raspy. I I was texting toni chimmel and I caught the dumbass So this dumbass Well, don't die on us now. There's a chance I could die by the time the show's over I'm sure big man and and a few others would be happy with that. So does blithe wrestle or what does he do? He's an incredible wrestler. He's one of the hottest wrestlers going right now Where does he wrestle? everywhere wherever he wants So he's like a big star What they call him is the end be darling You know what that means no I was hoping you did. I didn't know what it meant either I'd heard it a bunch with him Isn't that being like being the tallest leprechaun? I think I think he has he's the endy darling big man bishop. He was fun. You do nothing about him Thankfully we had our debut from grog lesnar. You're you're used to grog lesnar now Grog lesnar is a big star Very smart person Well, we put big man bishop up against grog lesnar. I think grog will win No doubt about it. He'll suplex him They were booking a card. I'm going you're you're facing godzilla part two Big man's facing grog lesnar and I'm fighting diabetes. So it's a good triple threat. So far we got around to that How are you doing against diabetes? Look at me. I'm losing clearly. I'm losing. I'm losing like you said though Still time on the clock. I'm not dying yet Hopefully I can get some right now. It's running the score up on me though. It's just running the score up on me Is it that that you're just overwhelmed by it or you underestimated it? Yeah, it's kind of that was a slow start. They got off to a slow start boy, but they have They've been pouring on this point right in second half. I mean they're killing me right now literally Why did you decide to play diabetes and like a life and death match? We did a home and home unfortunately They're at my house right now and just giving it to me. So and I I in fact need to get out of my house That would be me getting to their place. But right now they're beating me pretty sound Do you have a lot of snacks in your house? Um, I used to until yesterday I ate them all happening yesterday I ate them all I got to order I gotta get some more door tax after this What's your go-to snack see maybe I should start eating healthy after you chocolate Okay, anything chocolate. I love chocolate. There's anything Well, damn there anything like I like uh like m&m's I like chocolate. I like chocolate shakes chocolate anything chocolate So do you keep it in the house or do you have to keep it out of the house because you'll eat it? Oh, no, it doesn't stay in the house long because I eat it That's uh, that's now picture that About everything in my pantry or my fridge. That's me if it's in the house. I'll eat it I can't keep anything stock but I mean Chocolate that's kind of what I'm in the problem. I am now sweets. I should probably cut out sweets Can you do that? I think this is a good curtain jerkers episode. We did get some Unwanted penis talk like it happens in curtain jerkers unscripted We had on july 4th uh years ago the battle of the fats The battle of the fats Yes Okay, who was in that one? It was tony chimmel versus limey Limey was obviously an english person though it was july 4th So we wanted to reenact july 4th. So we put him actually in like sumo outfits You like the big zoom on fence And so chimmel was supposed to defend america Chimmel lost horribly. Oh no, which is not what happened in history, but that's what happened in real life On july 4th on america's birthday Chimmel lost to an englishman That's why you hate him so much 100% we all should hate him that much. We all should hate don't eat chimmel. Yes Chimmel We hate you man. We hate you chimmel. Maybe if we can find limey we can add him to our stacked curtain jerkers card Chimmel versus limey part two limey has moved to texas now He's not alone anymore. No, he's he claims to be a texan which drives me nuts Well, then that means he's available. We can get all of them now We can we can get battle of the fats number two and then we'll get horn swagger on a chicken Yes, let's just have all kind of rematches on the on the map. I mean that we're we're stacking up a good curtain jerkers card I think we'll have the hell of a pay-per-view We will we'll see uh who we've got next time. I think I think some of our upcoming guests could be pretty good on our Curtin jerkers supercard as well We'll see what we get into. This has been another hilarious one.
