Summary

The Nightcap crew discusses the NFL's minority coaching incentive rule, debating whether financial incentives are necessary to promote diversity hiring. The episode also covers Brandon Aubrey's contract negotiations as the highest-paid kicker, NFL Combine predictions, and various sports and lifestyle topics with guests ISO Joe Johnson and Chad Ocho Cinco.

Insights
  • NFL diversity incentives reveal systemic reluctance to hire minorities for leadership roles—compensation shouldn't be required for equal opportunity
  • Opportunity gaps persist across coaching: Black offensive coordinators are significantly underrepresented compared to defensive counterparts
  • Game film evaluation matters more than combine metrics; 40-yard dash times don't predict on-field performance or football intelligence
  • Kicker market reset: Elite leg talent with accuracy (Brandon Aubrey) commands premium salaries, reshaping positional value in NFL contracts
  • Organizational culture and leadership clarity (open competition vs. predetermined outcomes) directly impact player development and retention
Trends
NFL diversity hiring relies on financial incentives rather than cultural change, indicating structural resistance to minority advancementKicker salary inflation driven by elite performers with soccer backgrounds and extended range (60+ yard capability)Combine metrics overvalued in draft evaluation; scouts increasingly recognize film study and game context as better predictorsCoaching pipeline bottleneck: Limited pathways for minority coordinators to head coaching roles despite proven offensive successPlayer retention tied to organizational transparency and competitive opportunity rather than compensation aloneGenerational shift in athlete expectations: Players demand clear advancement criteria and equal opportunity frameworksOffensive coordinator diversity gap suggests systemic gatekeeping in play-calling responsibilities for minority coachesElite athlete specialization: Soccer-background kickers outperform traditional football-trained specialists in accuracy and distance

We wish Tyreek a speedy, speedy recovery. Ocho, Ryan Pohl says the NFL rule awarding two third-round picks if a minority coach or executive leaves to become the GM or head coach is a strange rule. Let's take a listen to what he had to say, guys. Yeah, I mean, I'll be honest. I think it is a little strange. I mean, at the end of the day, you should want to develop your staff, regardless of the color of their skin. I think that's important. I think we take a lot of pride with the Bears on how we are set up. And I take a lot of pride in that. So to be compensated for that's a little strange. I mean, I saw the Chiefs get a pick because of me, and then I watched that player go and play. It's just a little odd. But at the end of the day, if they think that's what's best to help incentivize, then that's what they wanted to do. I mean, the fact that they have to incentivize anything, what does that tell you? That tells you all you need to know right there. Where there's an opportunity that we can make our team, we can help our team get better, you know, by hiring X, Y, and Z. Why does you have to incentivize it? You know why? And it doesn't mean anything. Doesn't mean anything. And the fact that they have to do that in 2026 tells you all you need to know. The fact that we're still fighting. Never mind. But you understand what I'm trying to say. Joe, they have to incentivize teams with picks in the draft just to hire minorities. Really? Remember Ocho and I was just having a conversation about incentivizing? If somebody don't want to do it, what's not going to happen, Joe? Is that what he done? Ta-da! You done! Ocho, sit down. He done stole it. You see it, Joe? He done stole my safe. Man, you dirty, Ocho. My bad. My bad. Hey, I've been using that with my kids and all. I done stole it. My bad. That's the thing. And the thing is, like, if somebody is unmotivated or not incentivized to do something, they're incentivize to do something, they're not gonna do it. No matter what. They gotta wanna do it. And I think Ryan Pouls has done a great job. I think he's done a great job. You look at Caleb Wade, you look at the Roman Dunsley, you see the trade for DJ Moore, you see Burton, you see Loveland, you see Joe Thune, and you see the guys that they brought in. So I think he's done a great job. I think he's done a great job. But I think there are a lot of other people they can do a great job. But in order for me to do the job, you gotta at least give me a chance to do the job, right? Yeah, absolutely. You don't know how well I can stack the shelf, sweep the floor, be a cashier, be a manager. You don't know how well I can do anything if you don't present the opportunity for me to be able to do said thing, what you're asking. You don't know what a person can or can't do if you don't give them an opportunity. Sometimes, and that's what it comes down to. They didn't know how well I could play in the game. Wade Phillips say, damn, put his ass in the game. We can't cover him in practice. Hell, let's see if they can cover him. They had no idea. They was like, well, hell, let's see. I didn't know what the hell I was doing, but I played well enough to like, well, damn, if he actually knows what the hell he's doing, he might be a pretty good player. Right. So if you give somebody an opportunity, you don't know if a person can or can't do something. can't do something if you don't give them an opportunity. That's all I'm saying. And like you said, you gotta wanna give somebody that opportunity, Ocho. But you gotta get, because here's the thing, Ocho, and Joe, sometimes you just familiar with somebody. Hey, Ocho, man, I got a homeboy that say such and such, he can get you that car. You like, you got a homeboy? He can get me a Tesla? Or he can get me a Benz, he can get me this? Okay, let's go check it out. That's your homeboy. He vouched for it. That's how coaching worked. Hey, I got a good coach. I think he got what it takes to be a good head coach. I think, you know, just rise him up, let him be an assistant. Let him be a pass game coordinator. Let him be this. Poop, poop, toot, toot, toot. You see how they advance? Yeah. That's all you got to do. But you have to be willing to give somebody that chance. I don't know, man. Yeah, they – They're not happening. Not happening. It hasn't happened by the... I mean... I just don't understand. I love fighting the fight. I love fighting the good fight. Hey, I like that part. But Uncle Joe, the point of fighting for a spot where people don't even want you there, it makes absolutely no sense. Because when they do put you there, they're going to put you in situations that aren't good for you. Oh, yeah. They're giving you the bad jobs. They're going to give you the jobs. I mean, Joe. Like they gave Steve Wilson, Arizona. They gave him one year. They got Josh Rosen. Then boom, he out. And then they get Kyler Murray. Set you up for failure. Hey, that's what they're going to get you. I mean, Byron left, which actually called plays for a Super Bowl winning. Still couldn't get one. I think he on time staff at CU. At CU, yeah. You saying he never could get a chance to be a head coach. Hey, he got demoted. I mean, they let him go. And he was close on Joe. He interviewed for the job at Jacksonville. And then a few years later, the same OC and Liam Cohen did an unbelievable job. I'm not saying that he hasn't. He's done an unbelievable job. Good, yeah. he interviewed, he got the job. Yeah, that's all smoking is anytime they bring people in. And, but the problem was, I think what, I could be wrong, Chad, and I don't really want to, I don't really want to, but I think that he had a problem with the general manager. Liam Cohen says, look, I'll take the job, but the general manager, he got to go. Oh, that's right. Sha Khan said, you'll take this job if I get rid of the general manager? He said, I sure will. hey come up here and you ain't got no playbook but bring your pass card your key pop bring that with your cup bring your car key too yeah so look and that's the thing but if you think about it Ocho it's not a whole lot of most of the time when you see coordinators black coordinators they're on the defensive side there are not a handful of black offensive coordinators no why is that there's a handful of position coaches on the offensive side. That's the best about a running back wide receivers. Wide receivers, yep. Why is that? Why is no blacks, no black OCs? Your guess is good as mine, Joe. But I mean, hold on. What about the enemy? Yeah. Do we credit Andy Reid because he's the one that's actually pulling the strings? Man, what you call him got a job? Think about all the coaches that have gotten hired off Sean McVay's staff and not called no plays. Okay. All the coaches that got hired off of Kyle Shanahan's staff that don't call plays on the offensive side of football. Right. They use that if they don't want to give you the job. If they want you to have the job, it don't give a damn. Well, he was a janitor. Okay, yeah, I think you'll make a great head coach then. because he can sweep up some booze. You know him. Man, please. Ocho, think about this. Think about this. Think about this, Joe Ocho. Phillip Rivers interviewed for the Buffalo Bills head coaching job. He calling plays in high school. We're not getting no opportunity like that. Hell, it's hard for us to get a job. And we've been calling plays, defensive, offensive plays for years in the NFL. Yeah, yeah. Hey, come on now. We just got, you know, I keep it real. But it's hard. Well, I just want to hire the best man for the job. Well, who said he's the best man for the job? how you know I ain't the best man for the job that's why I love the actual playing of sports because you can find out who the best man for the job Ocho and you can find out who the best man for the job hey and it don't take long to find out either at all only one of you guys can play or you said hold on okay say no more yeah well they got a position on the other side you can play the x but the z gonna be occupied so i hope you like playing on the ball because you will never take one snap off the ball at the z receiver that's me right hey hey they remind me of my rookie year it was three of us three of us rookies winning the first round. He came to us. He said, two of y'all gonna have to be on IR every game. I said, okay. I never went on IR, fellas. I ain't gonna... Hey, Joe, it wasn't gonna be you, huh? It wasn't gonna be me. It was not gonna be me, Ocho. That's it. Hey, coach put the job up, Ocho. We was alternating back and forth. Yeah. Come my sophomore year, Coach David said, hey, every job, every job is available. Every job. I'm a quarterback, running back, wide receiver. After that first practice, he said, called us up, he smoked a cigarette. He said, got down home. It was a great day, first day of practice. You guys gave it hell. He said, I appreciate that. He said, but as long as I'm the head coach, there's 23 positions available. The Z receiver is shadow sharp as long as I'm here. All right, have a good day. Hey, you must be out there cutting rug, ain't you? He called us up before practice and said, every job is available. Okay. That's all I needed to hear. Because I had already told him, I said, Coach, I can't show you what I can do. I said, look, because me, it was me, Squirrel. It was a couple of guys. I said, Coach, rotate. I said, I can't show you what I can do, Coach, rotate. I said, just put the job up. I said, Coach, if I don't win the job, I'll rotate. I'll do. I said, if you needed me to move, go to the other side of the ball. I'm fine with that. I said, but just put the job up. Coach Davis said, hey, there's 22 positions available. Say no more. Boy, when I say I cut up. Yeah. Smoke that cigarettes at home. There are 21 positions available. See all the nominees now at iHeart.com slash podcast awards. And A, ain't left to feel since. but that's what that but but see in a coach Ocho somebody comes in it's like well I really like your scheme I like the way they organize this and I like the practices right like the meeting schedule and I like how you know we're gonna leave but because at some I mean everybody pretty much doing the same thing Ocho you know you leaving an x amount of time you're gonna probably get there by 5 30 in the afternoon yeah you're gonna have eight o'clock special teams meeting you're going to have 9 o'clock, you know, where the coach comes to stand in front of y'all and then you're going to break up and go get a snack and take your ass to bed. Your practice schedule. Okay, what do you do? Okay, after the game, we come in, get run, watch a little film, you get Tuesdays off. Okay, we back at it on Wednesday. Back at it Thursday, got a half a day Friday. You come in, do walkthrough on Saturdays and get ready to catch the plane. If you're going out of town, or go get your rest because you got to check in the hotel, got to check in the hotel by 7 o'clock. I don't know what's so complicated about it, Ocho. That's just me, but hey. Yeah, it's not, it ain't complicated at all. Hey, you guys be moving around during the week, don't you? But I be seeing, hey, I be seeing football players everywhere during the week. Oh yeah. You never know who you gonna run into. That wasn't me though. Let them boys be at. That wasn't you, that wasn't you, Ocho. I went out, I think I went out probably about- Oh, me, me? About three times a year. Well, Joe, I was on the video game, Joe. Three times a year counting, not counting rookie night out. You know, because a rookie got to take, boy, you got to take us out. Got to get me a car. I need a limo. You sent me a limo. Man, Sharp, man. Yeah. I mean, why can't we just have a limo pick you up and then go pick up everybody else? I say, because I don't want to ride with nobody else. I want a limo by myself. Send the limo to my house. When they call, I'll tell the gate and let them in. They're going to come pick me up. Because I know y'all going to want to go after me. Y'all don't want to go somewhere afterwards. I'm going to eat, and then I'm going home. Right, right. Hey, hey, Matt, ooh, well, you know, I just thought about, what? Man, guess where I got to fly to this weekend. Where? Man, I got to go to Houston. Ah, let us know how it is. No, I ain't going for that. It's the SEC Championship track meet. You know, University of the Bayview running Kentucky. Yeah, they running at Texas A&M. Oh, yeah? but that's not really houston that's far ain't it uh that's college park that uh college station i'm talking about that college park college station i don't know about that that's a long way i'm not sure joe you know joe how long are you gonna be out there how far as college station i got it friday i fly in friday oh that ain't that ain't bad uh and i leave i'm probably gonna leave saturday night she runs she run saturday night and when she run i'm probably gonna get I don't want to be out there like that. I mean, in and out. Your daughter be getting busy out there? Yeah, yeah. She's nice with it, Joe. She's nice with it. I'm curious what would happen if we were to race right now. Who? What? Me and my baby. Boy, you going to pull all your muscles. I don't think so. You think you'd get her? I think so. Keep it 100. Hey, Joe, you know, I don't lie about nothing, Joe. I would never allow my child to beat me, Joe. I'd trip her before she passed me, Joe. Yeah. I would not live to hear that, no, sir. Yeah, that must have been. Would I be able to show? Wish I could. I just want to be able to walk briskly. Damn running. Running is out of the question, Joe. Ain't over running for the kid. The last time I ran was 2009. I'm talking about ran, ran. Like opened up? That's over. All I need to be able to do is get on the assault bike, get on the concept bike, do the erg, the roll machine, which is the roll machine, or do the ski erg. That's it. If I can do that, I'm good. That's all the cardio I need. Oh, yeah. You can do that. Once I get this knee back right, give me about five weeks. I'll be right back. Hey, man, we all should get in the weight room together, man. I ain't saying like, you know, we ain't trying to max out nothing. Hey, come on, Joe. Hey, we can max out, Joe. I know we all got three different body types. Y'all lift. No, no, no. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What you mean? I'm built like an IBF pro. No, that's what I'm saying. Y'all probably lift a lot different from me. That's what I'm saying. But I think we can get in there, man. Get us a good little lifting session in. You know, kids a good pump. I like that. That's me. That's me. What's your rep scheme, Joe? I'm normally anywhere from 15, 20 reps. See, I do 12 to 15. I'm saying I can compromise. See, I'm more of a tut guy, time under tension. So I'm one, two, three down. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I'm one, two, three, one, two, three, four down. Pause, back up. Yeah, man. We'll get a good little session in. Joe? All right. Hey, Joe, I'm for the wedding. I'm for the wedding thing the next three weeks, boy. You notice I done had my pants on in every picture for the last month. Hey, it ain't cold out there in Florida? Yeah, man, like 50 degrees right now. Joe, you ever did cross fish? Hey, listen. Huh? Yeah, I have. I have. I used to be on the roll machine. I could have been competitive on the roll machine. Yeah. I could do the best I've done. I've done 1,000 meters in like 257, 258. Man, that ain't them good numbers. I'm telling you, I'm going to be good. Yeah, I'm going to be good at them. They're good numbers. Man, I had one of them hydro roll machines, Unc, that you look like you can be in a different place. Yes, I had one too. Man, my dang old dog ate the thing up, man. He ate the cable up, the seat, and everything. Wait, the dog? Yeah, man. He not trained, Joe? No, I had just got him. I had just got him, Ocho. And where I had him at, he was in there with some of my weight equipment. Yeah. And the seat, you know, the seat kind of like, got like this little cushion. I don't know if he just thought it was something that he tore it up. All right. OK. Damn. Hey, let me know if you need some training. I did 50 calories in a minute. Damn. Wait, which one? You hauling. Yeah. OK, OK, OK. That's upper and lower. Yeah. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I was really, really, really, really, really. Man, before my hips got bad, I could do like 30, 32 burpees in a minute. 30, 32, 33 burpees in a minute. Hey, hey, hey, hey, I be hitting them jailhouse burpees, I'm not. What, look. Hey, yeah, hey, Joe and I were locked up. Boy, Joe, I used to get crazy. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Huh? What you locked up for? Boy, Joe, we don't need to bring up no pass, boy, Joe. You know, I did a little time, though. I like to know the type of people I'm hanging out with. Tell me what you- Oh, hey, Joe, I'm a good dude. I just, you know, I try to flash straight, Joe, but, you know, I veered off track for a little bit, man. God got me, though. He got you? Yeah, he got me. Okay. Hey, Joe, if your dog trained, because you know I do canine training, too, on the weekends out here in Miami. No, mine trained. He trained. Hey, now you talking about anatomy chart? You talking about, hey, Ocho. That's me. That boy said he was here with his wings. Boy, you swore, boy. What? What? Huh? Huh? Well, I'm swole, boy. Damn. Man, how y'all be having y'all traps so big like that? What y'all be doing? That was the thing. Hey, hey, Joe, you want me to show you, Joe? It's like, it's all football playing. All y'all walk around with them big, big traps. Something like this, Joe. Them shoulder shrubs. Yeah, boy. Nah, man, I was doing, I was eating around the clock, so I would wake up every two hours because I wanted to see how far I could push myself. Man, I got up to like – I was probably two – I think I was 257 in that picture. But I was lean to Ocho. I'm talking about like an anatomy chart. Yeah. I see you. I see you. And you know you can get back there. No, man, I don't want to – no, no, no. That's too much, Ocho. It takes too much. I mean, you got to eat. I mean, you got to eat every two. I may be eating every two and a half hours around the clock, and I got to get this. That's damn. Nah, nah, I don't want to do that no more. Eating every two hours. Two and a half hours, yeah. That's the only way you can grow. Man, baby, give me struggles. Hey, and see, that's my damn problem. Joe, there's something wrong with me. I don't know if it's because I drink coffee. Joe, I eat one time a day, Joe. And I be good. Man, my baby be trying to get me to eat. You hungry? And I'm like, no, I ain't really got no appetite. but I think it's the fact that I drink so much coffee, whether it's Starbucks or lattes, it suppresses my hunger and I'd be content eating one big meal a day. Yeah, but you do too much cardio. You're not gonna grow because you do too much cardio. See, like once I get to a certain weight, now I'm just trying to like, I do like cardio, but not excessively because I wanna strip it. I wanna strip, you know, I still wanna maintain the muscle, but take some of the fat off. But if you do too much cardio. Right. See, I can't stop playing soccer, Joe. That's my problem. Yeah, you ain't nothing but running. I can't help it. The Cowboys and Brandon Albrecht's agent agree that he should be the highest paid kicker in the NFL. But there's a disagreement over how much per ESPN's Tart Archer. Dallas has offered a deal to the restricted free agent kicker that is more than the league high $6.4 million. I think Harrison Buckner gets that from the Kansas City Chiefs. They offered him a deal more than that, but he's looking. I think Todd Francis is an agent who Todd France also represents Dak Prescott, but he's looking for a deal in the neighborhood of $10 million per year. Ochoa Jones. I like that, and he's worth that. Brother Aubrey is worth that because when he gets that $10 million, my best friend, very good friend of mine, he's a kicker down there right up north. He should get $11 million. He should get $11 million. Are you talking about Cam Little? You're goddamn right. Goddamn right. So I'm waiting on Aubrey. I hope Brother Aubrey is blessed. You know, Brother Aubrey come from a soccer background. He was very, very good. He was the defender, you know, when he plays soccer. So he has a soccer background, which is why he's able to kick the ball, and it looks so effortless. Hey, Joe, boy, he got a pretty swing, Joe. It looked like he not even trying, but you look up, he kicking from 65. He kicking from 66, from 67, right down the middle. Oh, yeah, he did his thing. He did his thing. He going to reset the market for these kickers, boy. It's going to get out of hand. Yeah, he worth every penny, boy. Yeah, but no, everybody ain't worth that kind of money because everybody ain't got that kind of leg and they got that kind of accuracy. No, no, no, no, no. It's about maybe three, three kickers in the league, Joe. Yeah. That kind of leg like that. But not only do they have that kind of leg for that kind of distance, they also accurate with it. The problem is, the further you go out, the harder it is to be accurate. Yeah, you got up here like a disco. But no, it's... Yeah, I mean, he gonna get it. He should. I mean, I think, yeah, how many kicks he got? He got like eight kicks from 60 yards? With a longer 65? you got six from 60 oh that's crazy all right Joe here we got we're gonna play it's time to play a fade presented by prize picks yeah how we do last time I think what you call him, I don't think what you call him. He had eight assists. Because what you call him, he eight and a half assists, didn't he? Tyrese Baxter. Yeah. And your guy got hurt in the first quarter, Jalen Johnson. Oh, man. Damn. We won? Oh, we won, Joe. Yeah. Okay. So, hey. Y'all break me off. Who going to break bread with me? Y'all break me off some. All right, here we go. Yeah, the first quarter, he didn't come back in the game. Yeah, so we won, Joe. And Tyrese got this assist, right? I told you, Joe, he got that number. Arvore Reese, will he run a sub 4-5? I'm saying, yeah, I think he's a sub. I think he runs sub 4-5. I'm going lower. What do you think, Ocho? Oh, yeah. I don't have to hit me on this. I think he's going to be the number one defender off the board, isn't he? He's rated the number one defender off the board, Joe, Ocho. Hold on. Where he goes? Ohio State. And the one thing, if they can't do nothing else, if you come out of Ohio State, you can run. Yeah. You can run. You say 4-5? He's going to run. sub 4-5. I like that. I agree with that. Man, look, Ojo, you know them receivers? Yeah. I mean, look at Bosa, the Bosa brothers. Big as they are, running like they're going. Vernon Golston, Joey Galloway. Fast. The one thing them Jokers, if you can't do nothing else at Ohio State, you can run. What? Lord have mercy. KC Concepcion 4 sub 4 4 4 he probably went up there and cooked a little something you know because he's supposed to be you know he's supposed to be a good you know remember we had him on on show and he told me he liked to cook you know he cooked mac and cheese cooked something yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah man 4 4 booking that's moving i don't think people understand how fast 4-4 is because everybody's so fixated on 4-3s and 4-2s like 4-2 4-3 joe it ain't nothing but you can still reach out and touch the person right in front of you and you know you're not even having to extend your arm they literally right there i like when they do the overlap ocho you how they show it and somebody running 4-2-4 somebody running 4-2-3-4-3-4-6 but that's that's i mean they way out in front me. You ain't seen it. At that point in time, Joe, you ain't seen nothing tail lights. So he's got to run sub 4-4-4. I like it. You think he's going to run 4-4-3? He's not that slow, huh? You just saying 4-4-4 booking. I'm saying, I'm saying, I think he's going to run that. I don't think he's that slow to go, you know, 4-4-6, 4-4, no, 4-4 is... 4-4 book, you know, Joe. Yeah, it is. I mean, 4-4-4. So he got, I mean, another half of him. Yeah, 4-4-4. He got to run under 4-4-4. I'm going to give it to him. You got one job. That running the 40-yard dance can change your life. It's all about to start. That's it. It's all about to start. And being able to hold on. All right. So you saying he's going to run it? I think so. Woo, the time's getting lower and lower, Ocho. Hey. Jeremiah Love, the running back from Notre Dame, sub 4-4-1. they say he got speed to burn on choke i i he was nice he's nice on film but i don't see i don't see no nah he's nice on film though yeah but he's not he's not a burner like that man The boy's been training. Even, hey, because Saquon ran 4-4-0. Jameer Gibbs, I think, ran 4-3-6. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I don't – listen, he's nice. Very, very, very good back, but I just don't see that same – I mean, he had a – what did he have, a 95-yard run? 96 yard run he took off on somebody they said he Ocho they said he projected to run a low 4-3 low 4 low what? they say he got Gibbs, Jameer Gibbs and those guys type speed I would have saw that when I was watching Notre Dame play no no no Ocho no no Ocho he can run now no he can run no he can run run DK but it looks like he more of a strider because he how tall is he you think that's what it is okay maybe I'm tripping because most of the time when you see a running back that's that fast Joe it pops out it pops out they look fast when you see Saquon run when you see Jameer Gibbs run and he hit a hole and he break it looks fast. It looks fast That yeah I mean I don I don know He done had six weeks They didn't go to no bowl game. He been in Florida. He been in Texas. He been in California or Arizona working on that start. I'm going sub. Good training. He going 4-3-7. Good training. Hey, I don't know. Listen, it will surprise me because I'm just basing off what I saw on film. many superb running back. Superb. I just don't see the kind of speed people are saying he's going to run at the combine. I don't see it. I don't see it. All right. Carson Beck, sub 4-8-1. That shouldn't be that hard though, Joe. 4-8? Yeah. He might not be fast. That's what I was thinking. 4-8. 4-8 is it's linemen that run 4-8 linemen what you call him ran 4-6 terran armstead ran 4-6 hey he big yeah he dabbed at 300 pounds I think he was he still got the record for the fastest fastest linemen ain't nobody beating that I think what did miles oh what you call him Williams that went to the Texans. He ran a blistering time. Yeah. He ran 4-7-1. What did Williams, what's the Williams kid drafted first overall? Went to the Texans. He ran, he like 2-90, ran like 4-6. The Mario Williams. No, Mario Williams. Mario Williams. Yeah, Mario. He like 290. He ran like 4.6 Ocho. But them boys move them, boy. I say Carson Beck run maybe 4.9. At 290? He ran 4.5 at his pro day Ocho at 290. He faster than me. Yeah. So you don't think Carson Beck going to dip on the 4.81? I'd say maybe 4'9". 4'9"? Yeah. Yeah. 4'7", 5". That lays the time. That lays the time. Ain't no joke. You ain't gonna tell me. That lays the time. Ain't no joke. He ain't moving like that. Man, Jordan Davis outran Baker Mayfield and Jameis. At like 340. 40. All right, Ocho, we're going to go above. Ocho say take Carson Beck to go above 4-8-1. More. Boy, I got to see this. Hey, when they come by? Tomorrow, Friday and Saturday. Oh, yeah. And Sunday? Hey, they want to see the 40. They want to see the long jump and the vert. That's all they care about. Yeah. But like you said, Ochoa, run a fast 40, you get your pay. Hey, it changed your life. Well, listen. Because you forced the guys to go back and look, hold on. We missed something. Because we didn't see him play. Okay, if you run fast but didn't play fast, what was the problem? Was he hurt? Coaches, what's going on? Because this kid just ran 4-3. He don't look 4-3. I mean, you talk about linebackers that's running 4-4. What's going on? why didn't it project on tape? So I got to ask myself. Now, if he's the Hellraiser on tape, what happened? I mean, because he plays fast, but he didn't run fast. So now I got to go back and reevaluate. Go ahead, Ocho. No, I was just saying, that was me. I didn't run fast, but I played fast. What'd you read, Ocho, with the combine? Yeah, goddamn 4'5". 4'6". 4'5". 4-5, 4-6, whatever it was. What'd you rant? 4-6, like a 4-6, 5, 4-6, 6. Hey, Joe. Oh, you ran 4-5-7, don't you? Yeah, man, that time don't mean nothing at all. Joe, you put me on that field. Then you ran 4-4. You're going to get over. And you put somebody in front of me. You're going to get over. Man, you done. Not only am I going to get over, Joe, I'm going to tell you what I'm going to do before I do it, Joe. I tell you what ain't nobody caught me from behind I ran a little 4-6 but them 4-3 guys chased me all the way to the back of the end zone every time yeah I ran 4-6-7 you were fast huh yeah you fast that's moving one thing about it Joe the one thing about it is they put so much emphasis on the 40 yard dash and not more so on if someone is fast, that's something you can't teach, so it's a plus. But I need to see game film. Thank you. I need to see you play football because the game of football is not played in a straight line. So just having that addition of being fast, that's a great addition. That's a great factor to your skill set, but it's not the only one that matters because there's been a bunch of people that's fast as hell and that's all they can do is run in a straight line. Can't see no goddamn football. Couldn't play dead in a horror movie. All them guys that outran me. Guess what? Yeah, that. $25 to win $150. Download the app today. Man, how was it planned for Coach Richardson in college? Okay, Ocho, old school is his way or the highway. You were going to get with the program, partner. That's just what it was. It was tough. It was tough. It was tough. But I think he definitely prepared me for the real world. You know, the one thing I always give Coach Richardson credit, he came into my living room, into me and my mom's house when I was in high school. He said, you going to send him to me as a boy, and I'm going to send him back as a man. And he taught me a lot of life lessons, man. Taught me how to work. Actually, taught me how to work hard. Work hard on my craft. So it took me a long way. I'm very appreciative of that. Dr. Frankie L. Bellamy. Hey, fam. Adam Randall from my hometown will be at the NFL Combine. Pruitt 91-89 shout out to y'all for having the most authentic, non-ego-driven show out there. Do y'all think Mike Evans will stay with the Bucs or go elsewhere? I think he'll take this money to stay with the Bucs. That's me personally. What you thinking, Ocho, Joe? Ooh, that's a good one. That's a good one. Not too many times have there been players who have been able to stay with one team for a very long time. But I think if they continue to run the offense through him and not allow Ibuka to be the main attraction, I think he stays. If he knows that they're filtering him out of the offense in a sense, I think he'll go somewhere else and start over. I think he stayed, Ocho. Didn't he have a real injury? Yeah, his hamstring. Go back and look, Ocho, the last couple years, remember? He came up. He didn't get the 1,000 yards, but it was Mip and Tuck the year before. He missed some time. and the year before. So the injuries are starting to come with greater regularity, and they're keeping him down for a significant longer period of time. That's what happens as we start to age and we play a professional sport. We start to get the injuries start to come with greater regularity. An injury that would keep you down, Joe, a game or two, now all of a sudden take you out a whole week. You get a little older, an injury that'll keep you out a week, now it keeps you out two weeks. Now you're out the month. Yeah. And you see that's what's starting to happen. So what is he looking for? He has a wife, he has kids, he's a staple in the community. I think that's going to go – I really think it's 50-50. I really do. Yeah. I just think it's contingent on how that offense is filtered, you know. Ocho Iso One time for y'all keeping it real Iso keep shining celebrating my 38th Birthday Micah happy 38 Bro enjoy appreciate the support Happy 38 my boy Hey happy 38 and I'm gonna keep shining on Him partner don't worry about him Hey chill chill chill Joe That's what they meant He didn't even say that I'm with you when you're right He said Joe Iso keep shining He didn't say nothing about the Ocho boys You added that part You had that bull, John.
