Bill O'Reilly here. You are listening to the O'Reilly update coming up next. The news with Mike Slater. Thank you, Bill. It is Tuesday, April 7th, 2020. Six years is happening today in America. Get the leaker. Four hour blitz, dark side of the moon, and day in the delivery man. It's all coming up. Then Bill's going to be here with your message of the day. But first, the president said that his administration will not stop until they find who leaked that a second U.S. airman remained missing in Iran. At the press conference yesterday, the president called the leaker a sick person. He said, we're going to look very hard to find that leaker. We're going to go to the media company that released it. And we're going to say national security, give it up or go to jail. When they did that, all of a sudden, the entire country of Iran knew that there was a pilot that was somewhere on their land that was fighting for his life. It also made it much more difficult for the pilots and for the people going in to search for him. All of a sudden, they knew that there was somebody out there. It became a much more difficult situation because of that leaker. The president has so far held firm to his threat that he will launch a massive attack in Iran, unless they make a peace deal now, which includes opening the Strait of Hormuz. The president said the entire country can be taken out in one night. And that night might be tomorrow night. The president said they're planning a four hour blitz. He said, we have a plan because of the power of our military where every bridge in Iran will be decimated by 12 o'clock tomorrow night, where every power plant in Iran will be out of business, burning, exploding, and never to be used again. I mean complete demolition by 12 o'clock and it will happen over a period of four hours if we wanted to. The president said we don't want it to happen. And a reporter said, wouldn't that be punishing Iranians for the actions of the regime? The president said that they would be willing to suffer that in order to have freedom. The Artemis two crew entered a total solar eclipse from space as Orion, the moon and the sun all aligned. This is after passing around the far side, the dark side of the moon yesterday, reaching its maximum distance from the earth and the furthest into space that any humans have ever traveled, 252,760 miles. And while on the dark side of the moon, they lost contact with mission control for 40 minutes. They are now officially on their right home. 60% of the dark side of the moon has never been seen by human eyes because of lighting conditions until now. One astronaut said, we choose this moment to challenge this generation and the next to make sure that this record is not long lived. A Domino's pizza man in Idaho went above and beyond. A doorbell camera captured the exchange where the family ordered a pizza and die Coke, but they were out of die Coke. So the delivery man stopped by another store to pick some up for him. The family offered a bigger tip, but he said no, no, the tip of $6.60 was a good tip already. He said he's worked at Domino's for 14 years and plans to retire at the end of the month. A GoFundMe has raised $90,000 so far as a pre-retirement tip for Dan, the delivery man. I'm Mike Slater from youtube.com slash at Politics by Faith. Bill O'Reilly has your message of the day. Next. On this Tuesday, President Trump held an extensive Q&A with the press about the rescue of the two American airmen. You probably have heard all about it. Amazing military extraction out of Iran. But the bigger picture remains kind of murky. I do believe that Iran is going to have to make some kind of deal. But I don't know when that might be. It seems that the United States will destroy Iran's infrastructure if that deal is not made. But I think that the deadline of Tuesday evening might be extended. This is all guesswork, but based on intel that I am getting. It is just amazing that the world does not understand the danger Iran poses and that the world has not allied itself with the United States to destroy this regime. And I use the word amazing in a very accurate way. These people running Iran, if they get a nuclear weapon, will most likely use it. And yet you have people that don't care about that. What the deuce is wrong with you? Everybody should be united in trying to neutralize Iran. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me. Bill at Bill O'Reilly.com. Name in town if you wish to opine. Let's go to me. I'll Jim Gable, Morgantown, North Carolina. Hey Bill, in Wednesday's speech, President Trump again beat the oil drum. Pontificating on how vast the US oil reserves are. What good is that doing consumers? I see that benefiting his business buddies. I don't see the business buddies thing you do Jim. But I did tell you and will continue to tell you the US oil companies going to gouge the hell out of us. That's what they do. That's who they've always done. All right, whatever they can charge, they're going to charge. Alan Kelly, Chesterfield, Michigan. Bill, thanks for your informative and honest reporting. I've been following you since Fox. I have a thought. Since the people of Iran have largely been cut off from outside contact and news, since we seem to have total air superiority, why don't we drop leaflets over Tehran, encourage them to take back their country. I don't know if leaflets are going to do it Alan. I think everybody knows in Iran what the situation is, leaflets. I don't know. Bruce Ludwick, a core Morgantown area of West Virginia. Why aren't the Arab countries sipping up with offensive attacks against Iran? They buy all these planes and weapons from us. Some of them are. Some of them are. But their military machines are relatively small. We get a lot of help from Saudi Arabia, Intel-wise, UAE, those countries. Ron Noveson, Claremont, Florida. It's one thing to be against the war before it starts. It's another thing to be against demanding it end after it starts. So people are actually prolonging the military action. Yeah, sure they are. They want a salute. They want Trump to be embarrassed. That's the truth. In a moment, something you might not know. Financial stress is hitting an all-time high. Millions of Americans are stretched thin with no extra money, no room to breathe. And this isn't just lower-income households. Middle-class families are also running out of options. Now the O'Reilly Update brings you something you might not know. 14 years ago today, the greatest television journalist to ever live died at the age of 93. His death ended a legendary career that spans six decades, 21 Emmy Awards. Here is the story of Mike Wallace. Born in 1918 to Russian Jewish immigrants, young Michael lived in Boston and then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a communications officer during World War II. In 1946, he landed a job at CBS Radio in Chicago, working as an announcer for various game shows, The Green Hornet, The Lone Ranger. Wallace transitioned to TV in the 1950s, appearing on two programs, Nightbeat and the Mike Wallace interview. The journalist was then hired as the first correspondent for 60 minutes. That program and Mike Wallace interviewed me. He's pretty interesting because he's given people a hard time, which is what you did. During his 38-year tenure at 60 minutes, Wallace conducted intense interviews with the most important people in the world, the Ayatollahomeini, Richard Nixon, Malcolm X, Johnny Carson, on and on. The journalist announced his retirement March 2006. He returned to his home in Connecticut, where he died from natural causes on April 7, 2012. And here's something else you might not know. Mike Wallace's interviewing style was so intense, it actually earned its own nickname. Mike Fright was the term given to guests suffering fear, anxiety, and intimidation while sitting down with the legendary Mike Wallace. I'm glad I had that experience. Back in a moment.
