Eating a low-fat diet, eating whole grains, six meals a day and still gain weight? Well, the new food pyramid just quietly admitted they were wrong. RFK warned us years ago. If this sounds like you stick around for the breakdown. And I remember a man named Phil who came to see me and he was 50 pounds overweight on three blood pressure medications, a cholesterol medication, acid reflux medication and antidepressants. He told me he'd followed all the dietary advice his doctors had taught him and yet nothing was working to help him lose the weight and improve his health. He blamed his genetics. He said his parents were overweight and struggled with their health. So this was the life he was doomed to. I told him, nothing is wrong with you. You can lose this weight. You can get off these medications and you can dramatically improve your health. But you just have had bad advice for so many years. Listen, I followed the food guide pyramid for the first 22 years of my life. In fact, my mom was studying to become a naturopath in the 1990s and our family was on a low-fat diet. We were eating whole grains. We were snacking off in. And unfortunately, all of that led me to developing irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue and brain fog. And I know many others who followed this advice for years because doctors pushed it. Schools taught it and hospitals enforced it. Unfortunately, this advice has shaped everything from school lunches, hospital meals, nutrition education and more. The food pyramid taught your body to spike insulin, to store fat, to stay inflamed and never fully heal. And what was the result? Millions of people struggling with brain fog, having constant cravings, belly fat, energy crashes and joint pain. If this is your experience, I want you to know that you didn't fail. The advice all the professionals gave you was designed to keep you sick. And so what changed now? Well, the new food pyramid just went live. There was no press conferences, no apology and it completely reverses the last 50 plus years of mainstream nutritional advice. What they removed, they took out grain-based foundation, right? That's gone. The low fat obsession, gone. Carbs as the base of the pyramid, gone. What they added, they have an increased focus on whole real foods. They have more protein in your diet and increased nutrient density. Now these changes are what I have been teaching for the last 20 years, but there are many in the food industry that are upset because you see RFK warned about corporate influence and food lobbying, which props up highly profitable ultra-processed foods and drinks. RFK said, you can't fix a sick population with the same system that made them sick. And they called him crazy. Now they're following his warnings quietly. This is not political, it's a health issue. Now here's the real food pyramid. The base is gonna be protein and healthy fats. And this is what you want to be the priority point in your diet. Eating whole eggs with the yolk, red meat, particularly grass-fed red meat, small fatty fish, salmon, sardines, herring. You want butter and ghee, ideally grass-fed, healthy fats, things like olive oil, extra virgin olive oil would be the best, coconut oil, grass-fed beef tallow, butter. Those all stabilize glucose and insulin and they support cellular structure. Now the middle of the pyramid, okay? This is important. First thing we're gonna focus on is fasting and no snacking. You don't wanna snack between meals. So for an example, if you're gonna have three meals, you eat the first one at 8 a.m., the next one at 12 p.m., and the next one at 6 p.m. Nothing in between. What that allows you to do is it lets insulin drop between the meals. If you're constantly snacking, you're gonna constantly elevate your blood sugar and constantly elevate insulin. You're not gonna be able to burn fat effectively. And this is why, because there are 600 hormones in our body, but only one of those hormones signals fat storage. That's insulin. And when you're constantly elevating insulin, you're not gonna be able to burn fat. You're just gonna store fat. You're gonna develop more visceral fat and more belly fat. Healing and fat burning happen when your insulin is low. So the protein and the healthy fats, what's gonna keep insulin low along with fasting and no snacking. So right above that, you wanna add in non-starchy vegetables, things like broccoli, cauliflower, arugula, asparagus. All of that is great. Non-starchy vegetables are amazing. And then what you wanna add in, this is optional, right? But adding in some additional carbs, okay? And that's gonna be things like organic fruit from let's say berries, pomegranate, apples, oranges, root vegetables from potatoes, sweet potatoes, cassava, okay? Making sure you're getting the non-starchy vegetables, but also optional again, adding in colorful fruits and starchy vegetables. Make sure you're getting green leafy vegetables. Carbs are a lever for energy and performance, but they're not the foundation of our diet. So add them in as you desire. What you wanna remove, all grains. You know, grains are sprayed with glyphosate. That's roundup. It's very toxic. Plus grains really drive up insulin, right? Even if you're eating a bowl of oatmeal, okay? And that oatmeal is low glycemic, so it doesn't spike your insulin, but it will keep insulin elevated for a long period of time because it's got a high glycemic load. That means over time, blood sugar is elevating, over time, insulin's elevating. It's gonna keep you from burning fat effectively for fuel. So remove the grains, remove the processed sugar. That makes blood sticky. It ages you fast. Remove the seed oils. That's gonna be things like canola oil, corn, cotton seeds, sunflower, vegetable oils. All of those things stay in your body, creating inflammation for years. When my patient Phil made these changes, he was finally able to lose weight and drop 50 pounds in four months. He stabilized his blood pressure and cholesterol and came off all of his medications. No more acid reflux. Felt better than he had in a long time. And now you know the truth. So let's get into a little bit of a quick Q and A. A lot of people have questions about the new food pyramid. First question is, why did doctors promote the old pyramid? Well, the answer is money, big pharma, big food, big government. You see, the US spends $4.6 trillion on healthcare yearly. One out of every $4 spent is on type two diabetes, which is 100% preventable and reversible. Only two countries allow pharmaceutical TV ads, the US and New Zealand, but it's happening here. The reality is most doctors, they were taught all the wrong things. They were taught the old food pyramid. They were taught the low fat diet. They were taught that eating saturated fat and cholesterol clogs your arteries. They were taught this and then they taught their patients it. But now we know the truth, all right? And the truth will set us free. Now, the second question I got was, my grandparents ate bread and they lived till they were 90. And that's true. We have a lot of grandparents and people from former generations that were eating a higher carb diet and they lived a long life. But here's the truth, they didn't deal with seed oils. Seed oils really came on the market strong in the 80s and 90s. And now they're in 80% of the food supply. Also, our grandparents, they didn't deal with as much ultra processed junk food. Now it's everywhere. They weren't constant snacking and having sugar with everything. Here's a tip guys, you gotta shop the perimeter of the store and buy whole foods, single ingredient foods, right? When you're going to buy something, buy single ingredient foods, apples, right? Buy broccoli, buy arugula, buy onions, buy beef, chicken, fish. Rather than food that's got 12 different ingredients, the single ingredient foods are gonna have the protein, the fats, the fiber that's gonna slow down digestion, slow down your blood sugar release and your insulin release. And that's gonna help your body digest it better without promoting excess weight gain and inflammation. Now, question three is what about fiber? And here's the thing, some people do great with fiber, but fiber is not essential for everyone, okay? Some people thrive on no fiber, like people that are on a carnivore diet. But again, there are people that do really well with fiber. I personally do well with a certain amount of fiber. I get it from colorful fruits and vegetables and things like fermented foods like sauerkraut. I don't get it from grains. So I would much rather eat fruit, vegetables and fermented foods. You're gonna get plenty of the fiber that you need, prebiotics, postbiotics, all of that kind of stuff from colorful fruits, vegetables, as well as fermented foods. Now, why are seed oils suddenly a problem? This is what a lot of people ask me. They're not old guys. They were only incorporated the last 70 years and in particular over the last 40 years. And now they're in 80% of the food supply. They damage the mitochondria, they drive up oxidative stress and inflammation. Research has linked them with obesity, cancer and heart disease. They create inflammation within hours, almost immediately after you consume them. Inflammation stays in the body for years. They have a half-life of like 566 days, meaning that it takes almost two years to get them out of the body once they incorporate themselves into your cell membranes. And the whole time they're in the cell membranes, they're driving up oxidative stress and inflammation. So we've got to avoid those toxic seed oils. Now question five is, why don't health agencies admit the damage? And this is a great question. Nobody has admitted that they have been teaching us all the wrong things for so many years. Why is that? Well, that would mean lawsuits. That would mean a loss of credibility. I mean, you think about COVID, right? We had COVID, everything shut down, people were talking about masks, all of this kind of stuff. It all turned out that the government was very wrong, right? Mainstream medical influencers were very wrong on what they were teaching and what they were recommending during COVID, okay? And there's been no accountability then, right? And so of course, you know, there's not gonna be any accountability here for all the damage done by the old food pyramid. Now, my next question is, isn't high fat dangerous for the heart? A lot of people still think this. I will tell you guys, there's only one cause of heart disease, damage to your blood vessels. You know what the number one cause of that damage? High glucose, high insulin. When you're consuming healthy fats, healthy quality saturated fats, as well as mono unsaturated fats from extra virgin olive oil, good quality protein, that lowers your insulin, lowers your blood glucose and lowers inflammation. That means less damage to the blood vessels. We know that your brain is mostly fat. Your cell membranes are fat. And so it's really critical. We're getting those healthy fats in to support our brain, to bring down insulin, stabilize our blood sugar and support our brain function. So you don't have to be scared of fat. That's the great thing. Guys, the truth is coming out. You get to choose differently and have different outcomes. You can lose the weight, you can get out of pain, you can reduce inflammation.
