Insights
  • Pregnancy fashion should be personalized based on individual comfort and style preferences rather than following conventional maternity wear rules
  • The 12-month wear test is an effective closet curation method, but requires pre-planning and tracking to identify truly unworn pieces
  • Outfit planning success depends on starting with shoes as an anchor point, which simplifies the decision-making process and reduces morning stress
  • Women's fashion needs evolve with life phases and personal growth, making regular closet audits necessary to align wardrobe with current identity
  • Circular fashion platforms enable both sustainable closet management and secondary revenue streams for sellers

Okay, we're so excited to be back and doing another hotline episode and answering fashion questions with D-pop the home of circular fashion I feel like you never get to really like Simon Cowell with fashion advice So this has been really fun for you Yeah, because I don't want to take up all the time on the pod. It's like I need this little extra couple of minutes Yeah, and I like asking you important questions. Yeah Sorry, we're just informing the people. We're also both wearing D-pop right now. I'm wearing this really cool T-constructed D-constructed soccer jersey that has lace on it and a little ribbon. So I'm like I'm just You're so lower east side. Yeah. Yeah, I mean this was like a long skirt and like combat boots Grace first question Wait there has to be a game where we both have like one thing and see how we style it differently. Yeah What are you wearing? I'm just trying this little like great Hank with you. I mean You boobs are sorry that my boobs are poking everyone in the eye. I love those the leather. Thanks. Yeah She's off for a siren little dominatrix D-pop is also where taste recognizes taste Hannah you have the app open I'm obsessed with scrolling it because I put in my size and then sometimes I also put in like a style I'm looking for and then I just she can like really narrow it down Yeah, it's not it doesn't feel as chaotic. Oh my god. This is so cute. It's like a Snake-skinned jacket. Okay, we're in the middle of something. Sorry really cute snake-skinned jacket Hello, Han and beige hope everything. It's good with you So right now I'm almost six months pregnant. I can say that my bump is still pretty small But I think I'm getting into a point where the bump is gonna bump And I just wanted to know what would be your fashion advice for someone that it's like does not want to fall into the mom jeans pregnant Dead lima. What a great great question. I feel like you've definitely thought of your Fashion looks when you're pregnant as someone who's never been pregnant, but has a lot of opinions and Pregnant women's fashion I Think it's Deal yeah perform of the Super Bowl. Yeah become Rihanna God bless you. Thank you. I think it's so personal on like whether you're showing the baby But like some people are all about like I'm wearing a two-piece set. I'm wearing all my old clothes I'm I don't care and then there's other people that are like I rather wear like a flowy long maxi dress So I feel like it's totally based on what your One-year style is and your like comfortability people don't talk enough about yeah that like four or five Month range where you want to show it off But it could also look like you're just bloated and like let yourself go Yeah, so it's like a thin line because people don't really know you're pregnant I mean you can walk around with like your hand underneath it, but that's exhausting I love the idea of Accentuating the bump in terms of wearing like a low-rise cargo pants And then like a cute maybe like fitted t-shirt with like a sweater over your shoulders I just like I like the idea of like a baggy pant and like a cute little like Cardigan or like some type of top. How do you feel about belly button out? I think if you want your belly button out Get your belly button out. Yeah, it makes me feel freeing letter fly You know, I don't know I don't know what it feels like to have a pregnant stomach So I don't know if I'm gonna be one of those people that's like no I need to have my stomach out or I'll die Yeah, cuz it could might be really hot where you like I need to air right or if I'm like no I want the biggest comfy as cozy a sweater. Yeah, I think the answer though is having that range depending on the day Depending what you're going through mentally physically but I think like oversized cargo pants with a cute little ballet flat and then maybe like a Cardigan t-shirt you could do a crop t-shirt if you want the belly out or you can do a regular t-shirt like oversized If you don't what about doing a button down, but only buttoned at the top and then it goes out cute And that's why they call me here apprentice You quizzing me on fashion Okay, Grace, okay, this is for a Megan Love one because it's them because it's like an alien first came to the world I Have a really hard time getting rid of clothes even the ones that are outdated because fashion trends keep coming back around My fiance thinks that I have too many clothes and I agree so I want to do a closet clean out What is the best way to know if you would get rid of something? My rule is if I haven't worn it in a full year. I'm never wearing it. I Know and it's sad it's sad. You're like well That's 80% of what I own the problem with me though is I only wear the same three things. Yeah All the time so it's like I don't wear anything in my closet a way to like Because sometimes I feel like people go into a closet clean out and they're bright-eyed and they're bushy-tailed And they don't actually know what they're getting themselves into I like to prepare a couple months prior to a closet And here's what I started doing anything I'm wearing over and over when I put it back in my closet I'm putting it in a specific section because I'm like I wear that a lot I need to remember that I wear that a lot reach for it a lot There's also like a trick where you if you put it back in the right section You like twist the hanger so you know that like oh I always wear that then after like two months You can see things that you haven't even touched and it's like get rid of that is so fucking right cuz yeah in theory I would wear some of these things, but it's like if you're always gonna pick something over it Mm-hmm. It doesn't need to be there. You have to do a little like Science and I do it's like I went too hard with a closet clean out and I I have no Leather boots like I threw them I donated them. I think yes. I know leather boots. I happen Grace's lap sorry and I'm having a melt Literally yesterday. I need to wear a leather boot. I'm like I got it I'm like how I throw away and donate for leather boots. Yeah, it'll getcha So I recommend doing like a little math before and like figuring out What's not going to math things you wear and things you don't know to your closet clean out It's so true. There's also things that I I'm like I would look gorgeous But like it's not comfortable or it's tight or I just know that I actually look to revealing and yeah There are saying certain things where I'm like I know I'm only gonna wear that once for that one event But like I love it, but it's like you don't need to meet it Also, I don't want to speak for men, but women change. Yeah, and like and we grow I am so different from a year ago What I would wear It's and it doesn't necessarily mean like you go through phases you go through phases And there's just so many things and I'm like that's not who I am as a woman That's not what I'm putting out into the world anymore. Yeah, sorry remix Hannah can come to the phone right now. She's dead and while you're cleaning out your closet D-pop is actually the perfect place because there's no seller fees It's so easy to like get rid of your things and also you might see a few things on there that you're like I need to RIP Lannish. Yeah, and it's great because you're like, oh no, I'm giving stuff away. You're making money Yeah, a woman in stem. Yep. I know you love a mood board. Did you know you can make shoppable mood boards? For events like if let's say you're throwing a birthday party and it's like a theme or like a vacation or a vacation With friends and you put it together a bachelorette party. Yeah, so that's really fun I'm like obsessed with this shirt Hey Hannah and Paige, OG Giggler here. Okay, I'll keep it short and sweet. I'm in my ride all era I don't know where to find my rehearsal dinner dress. The theme is going to be a Western chic I'm getting married in the Colorado Mountains. It'll be next July so Summary and yes, I know it's super early, but I am too type-aid to wait much longer to figure out what I'm gonna wear So I want I'm looking for something that's super hot super sexy, but also bridal classy That I can wear with cowboy boots a cowboy hat my hair will be long and curled. That's the vibe. Let me know where to look What I should wear Really just looking for pages approval on what I'm gonna be wearing that night. Okay. I love you Great question specifically for D-pop because there's so many girls getting married so many people in their bridal era So many different wedding events and then it's like after that wedding event They're like, what do I do at this dress? Especially the rehearsal dress I don't like necessarily keep it right and it's not like they're everyone was at your rehearsal So like so many people saw whatever So I feel like girls do get rid of their rehearsal dresses my vision immediately went to something long white Well, really more like ivory ish silk open back tied around her neck because I think you could still do a cowboy hat with like Halterie. Yep And you can still do cowboy boots and it's like cute and chic But you're still in like a classic rehearsal dinner dress and I feel like that's There's something like that definitely on D-pop. I love that for her. I think that's really classy I also for some reason I was envisioning like off the shoulder like Chloe type dress like big sleeves almost maybe big sleeves or even just like a a lace Of the shoulder, but like kind of you're giving Declatage out. Yeah, I don't want to say like hippie But like, you know, I mean, yeah, I know what you mean. Yeah, so Chloe was a great way to describe Sorry, I'm like So yeah, an off the shoulder is really sexy. Yeah, and then Yeah, I would go long though. Yes long for sure long because it's a little like mountaine Yeah, a little cow girly. Oh, I wish I could maybe like a cap sleeve something that could be cute like a little Tread wife. Yeah, like a little bit, but it's like Sexy. Yeah. Okay. Okay. Okay, Grace Hey Hannah and Paige. I just wanted to ask how Do you plan your outfits? I feel like I wake up in the morning and I'm already just in a rush and Then I tend to put together an outfit that I've already worn before or it's not very exciting and I'm not wearing the Pieces that I have bought for the season So just wondering how you structure that in your life and if you have any tips for planning outfits It's really the worst It's or it's so like people talk about like, how do you figure out where you're gonna eat for a dinner every night? Breeze how what are you gonna wear every day? So stressful whenever I get in moods where I'm like, oh my god, I wake up every morning I'm putting workout clothes on or I'm putting sweats and I'm not putting any outfits together and it's annoying me I Start with shoes because I find that to be the easiest because that plays off of like, what's the weather today? What am I doing today? Do I have to walk a lot? So if you start with your shoes, I feel like it's way easier I've never thought of that My mom taught me that I also so like the other day it rained and I was like, okay So I know I'm wearing rain boots. Yeah, and then I can build off of that What's it like if you're going to work and you're like, I know I don't want to be in a heel I want to be in a ballet flat you can build off the ballet flat Wow, I'm wearing a riding boot to work tomorrow build off of that like I feel like I always build off the top Like what top do I want to wear? No, no, no. Yeah, see you're making it harder for yourself. Yeah Go with pretty much all of your pants, but also mentally like let's say you have a dinner on Wednesday Yeah, when do you start thinking about what you're gonna wear for that dinner? Oh Depends on who the dinners with Like I no matter what the event is If it's not like super fancy, I will never force myself to think about what I'm gonna wear because I don't want to like Cloud my headspace, but I have to like start doing that because I'm exactly like her where it's like ten minutes before I'm like, let's see if I get lucky. Okay. So like last weekend I went out to dinner with a couple of my friends on a Friday night I thought about what I was wearing out to that dinner on Monday. Exactly. Yeah, exactly And you knew it you had a vision What do you do when you have a vision because I know you do you're like this is what's gonna look at you put it on your It doesn't hit the way you want to say that's a stressful. That's really Yeah, because getting ready is so easy when you you're like thought of this outfit putting it on whatever Especially a new thing you bought and you're like, can't wait to wear it. Look, I'm not God So I can't solve that problem. I will throw everything around my room. I make it look like it got robbed. Yeah, I think Some things just don't work visually The way they do in your head and that's just like trial and error I have been a person where I'm like, okay, I have a dinner on Friday. I have an outfit idea. I tried on on Wednesday It's horrible. Then I'm like back to the drawing board. It's really just like you have to prepare I love you coming back home and being like They stumped us today Dink a well today Get back on the saddle tomorrow Yeah, do you how much do you dress does it depend on what you think other people are gonna wear to the event? A lot But like this was a dinner where I knew we were going to like a chic yeah restaurant. It was Friday night. It's New York City It's 8 30. I knew I was wearing a heel, but you like to be the fanciest dressed, right? I read my room. You want to be like top 5% Top 10% yeah, I like to be bottom I like to be in the top two The best outfit top no I like no if I'm going out to dinner with girl my girlfriends were like, I know they're putting on an outfit I'm gonna put on an outfit. Yes, but if I'm going with people where I'm like one person's gonna be in what they wore to work today So like I can wear yeah flats. Yeah, wow We are getting the like getting into how the mind works of fashion icon pages or bow I'm gonna start planning outfits more. Yeah, even say this for Years really I'm just gonna plan beforehand Oh Also, it's part of my undiagnosed ADHD where if one outfit works, I'll wear it Over and over and over and over and over again. I know you feel you're like Until people like catch on to it and then I have to switch out like the black summer dressable I Could name your eras I could literally name No, but the black dress because it was black We know also it was for pregnant women I Think your mom had to finally be like it's enough with the black dress Thank you D pop for making this hotline bonus episode possible deep up the home of circular fashion where taste recognizes taste
