Welcome to the Deep Sleep Sounds podcast. Thanks so much for joining us. You're listening to Healing Affirmations Sleep Meditation. Hey, it's Andrew. I'm the host of Send Me To Sleep, another sleep-inducing podcast from the Slumber Studios Network. I look forward to seeing you there. Find a comfortable position. Snuggle down and get cozy. Adjust your body, your cushions. Do whatever you need to do to find a place of rest. Now bring awareness to your jaw. Notice if you're clenching your teeth. If so, create a small space between your top and bottom teeth. Let the mouth and jaw area rest. If it's comfortable for you to do so, keep your lips together and breathe in and out through your nose. And notice if you just unclenched your jaw, did other parts of your body release too? Let's give the rest of the body a helping hand now, guiding ourselves to a place of relaxation. Take five big inhales and every time you exhale, mouth open or close, let your muscles release and your body sink a little deeper into the bed. Every time you inhale, fill the whole body with air, breathe down into the belly, the sides of the body and the back of the body. Every exhale, let go. Do this in your own time and when you finish your five rounds of breath, come back to your regular breathing rhythm. Follow your inhales and exhales as you allow your body and mind to find stillness. Whatever has happened in your day, however you felt before you pressed play on this meditation, let those distracting thoughts drift away and let's continue our wind down. Bring your awareness to your whole body. Become aware of your whole body. The weight of your body lying down supported. Bring your awareness to your toes. The tops and soles of your feet. Notice as both feet surrender to gravity and come to a place of rest. Bring your awareness to your ankles, carbs, shins, knees and thighs. Notice as both legs surrender to gravity and come to a place of rest. Bring your awareness to your hips, glutes and pelvis. Notice as they surrender to gravity and come to a place of rest. Bring your awareness to your abdomen, waist and lower back. Notice as this area surrenders to gravity coming to a place of rest. Bring your awareness to your chest, ribs, upper back and shoulders. Notice as they surrender to gravity coming to a place of rest. Bring your awareness to your upper arms, lower arms, wrist, hands and fingers. Notice as all these parts of you surrender to gravity coming to a place of rest. Bring your awareness to your neck, jaw, face, top of the head, back of the head. Notice as all these parts of you surrender coming to a place of rest. Move your awareness to the middle of your forehead, to the space between your eyebrows. Notice a sense of calm, of clearing here in your mind's eye. You're welcoming a blank, infinite space here, making room for our healing affirmation. So, as we continue our journey deeper into sleep, follow my voice and surrender to this break from your day. You might find that you drift off into dream land during our meditation and that's fine. If you find yourself preoccupied with the goings-on in your mind, that's also okay. You can simply return to my voice at any time. And now returning to that blank, infinite space in your mind's eye.
