•May 9, 202625 days agoSummary
Cam Corden shares his biohacking journey from chronic pain and multiple failed marriages to optimal health through cold plunges, carnivore diet, peptides, and systematic lifestyle changes. He discusses how nerve damage from 25 years of jujitsu and weightlifting led him to experiment with unconventional therapies, ultimately transforming his physical and mental health while helping others through coaching and educational resources.
Insights
- Systematic lifestyle design and elimination of decision fatigue can be more impactful than individual health interventions, enabling mental clarity and self-reflection
- Severe dehydration can suppress the body's thirst mechanism, making people unaware of critical health deficits; proper hydration is foundational to addressing multiple health issues
- Peptides like cerebrolysin, derived from animal sources and used in Eastern Europe since 1949, show significant neurological benefits for brain health and recovery that are largely unknown in mainstream US medicine
- Cold exposure combined with resistance training can significantly elevate testosterone and accelerate physical recovery when properly sequenced
- Addressing mental and emotional health through self-reflection and pattern recognition is essential for breaking cycles of destructive behavior and relationship failure

Today I have on Camcord and Camcord has a very interesting life. If he was my friend, I'd be calling up all the time asking him about all kinds of questions about supplements and diet and stuff because he's one of those guys that sounds like ... It has always been into taking care of himself. He was always very competitive, he said. He did a lot of jujitsu and other kinds of things when he was young and he did some damage to himself and he talks about that, some nerve damage in his hands. That really set him down this path of trying to figure shit out in his life, not just physically because eventually he figured shit out in his life mentally too. He's been married four times. He says this is the last. He did have a moment of come to Jesus in his life where he did, like I said, not just look at himself physically and want to take care of himself but also emotionally and all that kind of good stuff. Really what he did was try to figure out how to tackle this nerve pain and nerve damage that he had. It sent him down this road of cold plunges and mocking up a cold plunge when he didn't have the cold lake and then the carnivore diet and some peptides that he gets that he swears by and he talks all about it. We get deep into all of these things. He explains it all. He explains this whole journey. It's super interesting. If you're like me and you love health and fitness stuff, it's like, you know, I love hearing about this kind of stuff. He does have a website where he has more information. He also helps people. He helps someone coaching but he also helps people with a lot of different kinds of resources on his website. His website is savagechillstyle.com but I will put a link to it in the description. You got to hear a story. It's super interesting and then go check them out. I'm going to be right back on with Cam Corden. Hi Cam Corden. Welcome to the Strictly Anonymous podcast. How are you today? Hi. Listen, you're not anonymous. You're Cam Corden. You do have a book out. You have a YouTube channel. You do and you have what I love, which is like a really super interesting like health and fitness story. You went from I'm assuming like not so healthy to like uber healthy and it's not like, you know, nowadays where you took a GLP one. I've already had an episode like that. Like you did carnivore diet. You did cold plunges. Like you went a very strict hardcore way that takes a lot of discipline, but it really made so many changes in your life. Correct? Yes. But to clear the record, I was pretty much in phenomenal shape. But my body was just destroyed from working out in 25 years of jujitsu. Oh, okay. So start there. So what, so what had that, what did like hardcore weightlifting and jujitsu do? Do your body that you needed to affects with all the stuff that you did? Cause it, cause you said like doing what you did, like it really helped your testosterone levels, but maybe that was just with aging. I don't know. Or did the stuff in the past affect your testosterone levels now? I'm no, I mean, my testosterone levels are always pretty high, which led to a lot of problems as well. But that's another, that's another story. Yeah. Right. Basically I started, I was always since childhood, very competitive. Yeah, cool. And, and then after, um, adulted, then I got into powerlifting. And of course I, you know, hurt my back a couple of times, a bunch of stuff from it. Of course. Then it was jujitsu. And, you know, I became obsessed with it. And, you know, I broke some bones. Um, and eventually I had like pretty bad nerve damage in both hands. I don't know what exactly it was from. Uh-huh. And what, what kind of symptoms did you have with the nerve damage? Like, did you feel like have numbness and stuff in your hands? Oh, then the hands were absolutely. When I went to, for a doctor, they were like dead. Wow. Like, yeah. That's kind of an emergency. I mean, you really need your fucking hands. What are you saying? Yeah, you do. You definitely need your hands. And basically I think I was like 42, but 37 is when my body, like the joints all over myself, I started feeling it. Interesting. And I, I was like, okay, something's not right. And I was still training and like there was, it was a different type of soreness. And I thought to myself, like, I might have to stop. And I didn't like that idea. So I kept going. And then like 42, the, like out of the blue, I was going through my second divorce. And like right before I was leaving, the hands just went numb. Like both of them at the same time. Yeah, that's scary. And, and I thought like, okay, it'll, it'll, it'll, everything will be okay. And then I took off to another country to meet a, meet a woman and the pain in the hands kept getting worse and worse. And so they're numb, but they're also in pain. You're also in pain. Oh yeah. I mean, like it was like a shooting pain. Oh my gosh. It was like a burning sensation. Yeah. I really admire somebody like you. Like I'm slightly like a hypo, a hypo-conjurect, but only with things I could die from. Like, you know what I mean? I don't give a shit about anything else. But like if my hands went numb, I wouldn't be flying off to bang some guy. I'd be like paranoid that like I have a brain tumor or something. Like it's interesting how some people, you just like, we're not paying attention to all this pain and numbness in your hands at this point. I was paying attention to it. And so I'll give you the full story is I went to Europe to meet this girl. Then we went to Thailand. And then we traveled to Costa Rica and I was still training the whole time, you know, even though it was bad. But when I went to Costa Rica, that's the denial. Go on. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't want to admit it. I wish I was like that. Yeah, go on. And then finally I went to a doctor and they strapped the electrodes to measure the nerve conductivity. Uh huh. And the woman behind it gave me, she couldn't speak English, but she gave me this look of horror. And I knew it was bad. I got the record. Yeah. And I got the report and it was concerning. Yeah. Really, really concerning. So I ended up marrying this girl. Okay. So it was worth it. Um, maybe. Oh, okay. You're not with her anymore. Yeah. And so while I was in the Costa Costa Rica, it was still like pre COVID. And I started talking to a doctor in the States to, uh, to fix it. You know, I had the MRIs and everything. So it was like right before COVID hit, I, I flew to get the operation. The, cause both nerves were like extremely pinched with the whole nerve. Uh huh. Okay. And he said, we can help you. And right before the surgery, I did them both at the same time. Luckily. He said, you, you, you should, you should get most of the feeling back. Right. Maybe. Yeah. You know, and I was just like, shit, I waited too long because realistically, even before it like went completely dead, I started feeling them in like 2000, maybe 12, 13, you know, it was like, like a slight numbness, but like the totally functional. Yeah, totally. But so I waited too long. And you know, the recovery went well, it was still good, but then I went right back to training and during the training, I could really feel it. You know, you mean the pain still, or you started to actually get feeling back? No, I mean, I, I got some, I got some feeling back. Okay. Don't get me wrong. Yeah. You know, because the nerve was relocated. Yeah. Okay. But, you know, that it was, it was permanently damaged. Right. So I started the going back to training and it was still pretty bad. And then I moved COVID happened and I had a whole fiasco with the getting my wife to be a visa to the US. Oh shit. Right. Okay. Yeah. So we eventually made it to the US. I think COVID hit like roughly in like March, but I think we got there like June. And as soon as we got there, it was like a disaster of a relationship. It was already kind of a disaster before that. Oh my God. Now you're locked down. Yeah. You know, we got a house, my son from a previous marriage moved in. That didn't sit well. And basically the pain in the rest of my body kept getting worse. Mm hmm. And the marriage was going down the drain and eventually, you know, she threatened to leave several times. And then finally one day, you know, we agreed on the divorce and this is the, the transformation moment is I walked outside and I was trying just to figure out what's going on. I took inventory of myself because I felt like I was 70 plus years old. Right. In your body, physically. Yeah. Yeah. I have a, I have a son. He's roughly two and a half years or two and a half years to college. Right. And this will be my third divorce. Mm hmm. So I saw a kettlebell and I said, you know, I have two and a half years to fix myself or I'm just going to strap that kettlebell to my ankle and walk into the pool. You mean once you're your child out of the house, then you could go and off yourself? Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I got it. Okay. Yeah. So I had two and a half years, 911 days, roughly to figure shit out. Yeah. Yeah. Interesting. So I started on this and of course the next day, my ex-wife tells me I'm pregnant. Oh my goodness. Now you got eight more, 18 more years to kill yourself. Yeah. And then I thought to myself and I was like, I have to make it work, but I still said to myself, I have 911 days. Okay. You know, if that wasn't going to stop me, I tried to make it work. It didn't. It only got worse. She delivered. Did she take the baby back home with her to another country? No. Oh, no. Okay. She stayed. No, she stayed. You know, the baby was delivered. And like there was like little glimpses to hope during the pregnancy that it was, you know, it was like, okay. But then once the baby was born that day, literally the night she was delivering, I had COVID. Well, of course I give her COVID after she delivers. So like at that moment, it was like it was beyond dead. Right. And it lasted maybe a little over a year after that. Okay. So listen, if you and your partner are the kind of couple who have tried most sex toys out there and you're looking for the next best thing, well, then you need to check out motor bunny. Motor bunny is a sex saddle machine. You sit on it, you straddle it, you angle it and you enjoy it. Okay. It is known as the most powerful vibrator in the world. But what makes it perfect as a couple's toy is everything they have that goes with it. They have attachments for men and for women. And they even have an attachment that is made for couples called the power couple attachment. You put on those attachments and it is like better than any vibrator or dildo out there because the motor bunny machine does all the work while you and your partner get to enjoy the ride together. And if you download the fluffer app that goes with it, you and your partner will be able to control the machine from across the room, across the city, across the world. Okay. And they have so many different patterns. So you could totally tease your partner while you're away. Listen, I got a motor bunny sent to me and I'm going to tell you, it is like nothing I've ever experienced. I mean, nothing compares to it. You just need to try it for yourself. You will not be disappointed. And right now motor bunny is offering my listeners $50 off their purchase. All you got to do is go to motor bunny.com slash strictly. That's motor bunny.com slash strictly. And you're going to get $50 off automatically applied at checkout. Again, that's motor bunny.com slash strictly or just go to the description and click on the link. And meanwhile, I was just focused on fixing myself. And I tried everything to fix myself. When you say you tried everything, like when you started on this journey, like what were you doing, googling for nerve pain fixes or like what were you tackling and where'd you start and what kind of information were you're looking for and where'd you get your information? Well, you know, ironically, I do have a background in system dynamics. And biohacking was always kind of a... Like interest of yours? Oh, no, it's something I've always done. Oh, OK, cool. You know, and I also, you know, I experiment on myself and past ex-wives. Oh, my goodness. And my present one. Oh, my God. How many wives have you had so far? This one, you think this one's the one that's going to stick? This is. This is. She is the love of my life. OK, great. Well, it took how many times for? Is this the fourth or the third? This is my fourth. OK, there you go. It's OK. That's cool. Yeah. And so, you know, and I was, you know, at 18, I was a personal trainer. So I was always really, even before that, I was because I was an athlete. I was studying. So I had a pretty good idea. OK. Where to go. And of course. And so I think one of the original things for nerve pain I started with was niacin. Oh, OK. Oh, the stuff that flushes you, right? That kind of makes sense. That makes sense. Just in theory, you know what I mean? Yeah. And it's like even while before the surgery, I was taking it because it gave me a sense of relief. Oh, interesting. Yeah. So it helped a lot, but it still wasn't enough. It was a temporary thing. Yeah. So but when I really started going on this, I was doing ozone. I bought the ozone therapy machine and that helped. But it was temporary. Oh, so that wasn't a fix either. Permanent, no way. No, no, it wasn't. It wasn't too much of a fix. OK. But, you know, I felt it immediately. Right. And in return, I could I could actually sleep. Yeah, because I was, you know, my sleep was terrible. I'd wake up if I fell asleep. It was only for a couple of hours. And I'd be up at like three in the morning. Oh, God. But did it fix like I mean, because the ozone therapy is like really great for your immune system and everything else. Did you find that you got other benefits from it besides like actually curing what you were using it for? But did you feel like you did get benefits from it? Yeah, you only get benefits from it. OK. You know, I mean, it's a pretty good, you know, it does have its positives. OK. I still I don't really use it anymore. OK. I have it. Yeah, it's but I really don't use it. But I was doing that and. And I was researching a lot on like fringe health sites. Yeah. And. And for like the rest of my body aches and pains, I know it sounds crazy, but I started taking borax. I've heard of that. Uh-huh. And it worked. OK. I mean, like I felt it the first week or two. It gave me a horrendous headache. Oh, interesting. And that was a known side effect. Like people I told like you had in your research, you saw that that might be a thing that happens. Yeah. The hurt hurt. What do they call it? The Hercs reaction. Oh, right. Of course. Yeah. And so I started, I was taking it. And one of the strange thing, strange side effects from it was after like the second week, I realized after using the bathroom that I had parasites. Oh, it brought it. Yeah. And you saw them? I saw them. I took a photo of it. I always feel like that's like an urban myth, you know what I mean? Because I've done so many detoxes and everything and like people talk about it, but I'm like, and I've seen pictures, but I never really fucking believe it. But like you really saw it. Like you're here to say it's real. Like you saw it. They really. I saw it. I still have the photo on my phone. Oh my God. Crazy. I would flip the fuck out. Were they moving or they're dead? Like when you see them. They were dead. OK. Oh, gross. Yeah. So I started feeling it and like it did help my joints a little and I was doing some some other things, but I was still miserable and it was. And of course it's a bad in a bad household. It was, you know, you know, a little toxic. Yeah, of course. Maybe from maybe from me, maybe from her or from both. And I will point out to you. And I will point out to your audience. I did end up the third marriage was with someone much younger than me. OK. Yeah. Why not? You tried everything else. Why not go the opposite way? If they were all age appropriate, why not try someone way younger? Maybe that was the facts. Who knows? You know what I mean? It sounds like you'll try anything. Yeah. But in your health and in your love life. Yeah. Well, my second wife was seven years older. Yeah. There you go. You're trying it all out. Why not try something different? There's nothing wrong with that. Yeah. And our marriage did last 16 years, but yeah, that's not a failure to me. I don't know why everyone thinks someone has to marry one person for their whole life or else it's a failure. It's ridiculous. Two years is a failure. One year might be a failure. Six months, you know what I mean? But like 16 years, please. Yeah. So. So I was feeling a little bit back to the borax. I was feeling it, but I wanted to feel like my whole scenario was I didn't want to feel like good for my age. I wanted to feel like I felt 20 years old. So I was really like obsessed with this agenda. Right. Because during this time, I'm assuming because you're highly competitive. You've always been into health and fitness your whole life. Like throughout all this time, you're still working out and doing what you've always done, right? And if you are doing that, you should feel better than your age. Yeah. Yeah, you should in theory. And you weren't though. So that's but you so you should, if you're working your ass off at the gym still and doing all that stuff and you know, whatever, you know, you should something's wrong if you're not feeling better than you did. That's all the same. So I was you were smart to keep looking into it. Yeah. So that I started looking because like maybe I think it was like 2008. I lived in Lake Tahoe and it was like in the dead of winter. And I for unknown reasons, I decided I was just going to go swimming in the lake. Oh, here comes the cold pledges. Yeah. And it was such a I can't even describe the feeling from it, but it was like I was at peace with myself. Yeah, I've heard that. Yeah. And you know, I would go a couple of times a week and do it. And then eventually I moved to back to Florida. Okay. So there was no cold plunge. I know, you know, no lake. And so anyway, fast forward to the current time, I remember I was thinking like, hey, baby, the cold plunge, you know, cold, cold water would be good. And that's when I started started looking at it. And really, you know, I was thinking like, well, I could just fill up the bathtub, the bathtub with ice, but you know, I realized like going to the grocery store. Oh my gosh. Ice every day. Yeah. Yeah. Time consuming and expensive. I mean, bag of ice is $8 and you probably need six, seven bags a day. Yeah. A lot. Yeah, totally. And I was looking at an ice maker for it. Eventually I just settled on a deep freezer with like temperature control. And you would go sit in. Yeah. Interesting. Okay. Yeah. And put filtration in it. You took a lock off so you wouldn't get locked inside. Yeah. Ozone, ozone for cleaning the water. It was like a great system. So I started doing it and, and I made it cold. I think it was, it's rough. It was roughly 30 degrees. And I was, I started off at like a minute, then I'd go two minutes. And next thing you know, I was doing like really long stretches. Maybe I think I was averaging like, you know, anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes. Per sitting. Mm hmm. And for the first time, like after like a month, I really felt a difference. And it was just, it was amazing. Like my body was just healing at such a fast rate. And I was sleeping. I was sleeping 10 hours a day. Yeah. That's super interesting. Cause at this point you have tried, you tried a lot of different things and nothing had like, you didn't see results like this until the cold thing. Right. And then, um, roughly maybe a couple months down the line when I started really amping it up with time wise. Yeah. The, and it was like the winter in Florida. It's not cold, but, um, the warmup process was really hard. What do you mean warmup process? Like after getting out. Oh, oh, I'd be cold for like hours. Oh, that's not good. Right. Or is it? I don't know. You tell me. I mean, like it's, it's a struggle. Yeah. And not only that, I've been to a Russian Banya where they do the cold and hot, you know, you jump in the freezing cold, then you go into the steaming hot. And there's something about the combination that afterwards you just feel like you got like the best massage. It feels like torture, but there's something about it that makes you feel deeply relaxed afterwards. So maybe warming up as good after. Yeah. So, um, my joints were still kind of aching and I couldn't do, I had the kettle bells on my food deck, but I had for, for a while. Okay. Oh, I thought you were going to use them to off yourself. Isn't that what they're for? Yeah. And so I, you know, got out one day and I said, I'm sick of being cold. And I just started with the kettle bells. I started doing just, you know, small workouts to warm up. Oh, okay. And next thing you know, like I just kept extending the workouts and my body was feeling better and better from it. So it became just like part of it. And I found that also, um, I hate the gym, you know, okay. So you were never like a working out in the gym person. You were more like Jiu-Jitsu and stuff. Jiu-Jitsu. I mean, I used to work out at the gym. I just burnt out of it. Yeah. Everyone's different and likes to get in shape different ways. Yeah. And I had a, I always had a home gym just because I hate the commute. It's another reason not to work out as the commute. Yeah, I can imagine. But I live in New York. So I walked to my gym one block away, not even, but, but yeah, for people in the suburbs, that makes a difference. Yeah. I mean, even, but with like kettle bells, um, you know, they're very easily transportable. Even if you live in a city, you can have them in your house. Of course. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So now you're working out, you're getting warm right after your cold. Yeah. I'm just starting the workout. Um, and I also noticed from this is my, I like, I guess, I would say the testosterone levels jumped up and, and now I see that other people have found this too, that doing the cold before workout increases your testosterone dramatically. Mm hmm. So that's how I got into the kettle bells. And for the, for the meat, it wasn't till like the divorce finally ended, but I was always basically very meat based because I only eat one meal a day. I've been doing that for, for 18 years. And so when you eat just one meal a day, you gravitate towards what your body craves and it's usually me. Right. And, uh, I was always on the belief that you needed, um, like fiber to use the bathroom. Right. Most people think that. Yeah. And so, especially if you eat a lot of protein, because protein, if you're so much, so high in protein, it will bind you up. Yes. Yes and no. And so, no, that's cool. Explain. So I went out on a date who's now my wife and we went to a steakhouse and she just ate steak and she, and she told me I only eat meat. And I said, and that piqued my curiosity because I prefer just to eat me. Yeah. And I said, well, how do you use, how do you, what about fiber? And she basically explained to you, you have to have a fat with, you know, make sure you get a higher content of fat. So it produces the bile and, uh, to digest and use the bathroom. Yeah. So, so she told me this and I was sold or like right away. And, and I noticed right away is I had way more energy from it and slept, slept better, felt better, uh, joints felt like perfect at that point. Right. Amazing. Yeah. So that's how I got on the carnivore. Okay, guys, I want to talk about jazz for a second. Now, listen, I know that most guys are kind of obsessed with, you know, how big their loads are, right? And along the line, but if I can circle back to before meeting my wife, yeah, is I moved and like I was by myself and I was very strict. I never missed a workout. I never missed the cold, cold plunge day. I really had it systematized and. I noticed that through everything because I eliminated all decisions because we live in a world where there's so many, so much information coming at us. Yeah. That when you systematize something, you have more freedom and you can really think about things. What do you mean by systematize? Like I like systematized like my workout based on if I have to busy day, I'll do this if you know, so there's no fault process. Oh, I love that. Right. I get what you're saying. Yeah. Yeah. So I had everything in my house systematized. And my life was just like a system. So I had lots of free time for it. And I got to reflect about why did I have all these failed marriages? And like how I use basically my working out and work because I would always dig. I mean, like basically avoid my relationships with work and working out. Yeah. And I saw the pattern because I always, you know, like every everyone that goes through divorce, it's always their fault. Yeah. But I realized it was mostly my fault and I got I got to see it and you know, I saw the patterns and I saw one of the biggest patterns was and it was like I've always been really good with ladies, but it's always been a big problem for me. Oh, meaning you could get too many girls. So it's like hard to just stay with one kind of thing. No, I wouldn't say that. I was always, I to be honest, had lots of women. But I never really had relationships until I think I've only really had three relationships in my life. OK. I don't count the first marriage as a relationship. It lasted five months. OK. But I saw the pattern and it was a little disturbing. Like because it started, you know, I started back on the dating circuit and I started really thinking about I don't know how to describe it. But I realized like I really had no control over my sexual drive. Right. And it led to a lot of problems. Like cheating and stuff. Is that what you're talking about? No, I wouldn't say cheating because I was getting obsessive or like distracting yourself with sex with people that you're not necessarily interested in that kind of a thing. Yeah, I would say distracting and you know, and just. Yeah, well, listen, you were doing it with work. You were doing it with women. You were doing it with a lot of things, right? If you need to check out, you're going to fucking check out, right? And you just had a you had a bunch of things in your back pocket to use. Yeah. And so I basically told myself because my sex drive was always been pretty high that I think it was right before Thanksgiving. And I was working out and like right before going in the cold plunge. And I always like fool around, do some exercises before getting in. And I was doing like a like a plank, but with just my hands. My legs were floating. And I don't know why I was doing this, but I was doing it for a really long time. And I was holding my breath. And I passed out and smashed into the concrete floor. I like knocked out a bunch of teeth. OK. Split my lip wide open and I woke up in a pool of blood. And I had a really bad concussion and it was it was lasting for so quite some time. And I remember I was supposed to meet a girl. So I sent her a text and I said, don't be scared when you see me, but I got pretty banged up. Oh my gosh. You know, and she basically said, like, look, you're really nice guy, but you're just a little too extreme for me. Right. And, you know, it made me think, you know, I kept that in the back of my mind. Yeah. Yeah. And the concussion I had was just horrible. And I was like, had a dark cloud over me. So I started researching people like, you know, friends of tummy, you got to take a lion's mane, it'll help. Someone told me, say, I'm me. Yeah, that one. Yeah. Yeah. And it just made it darker. It works. Oh, interesting. So eventually I started doing my own research. And I remember seeing, I used to buy a lot of peptides from Russia. Uh-huh. Because before they were like big over here. Um, no, they have a lot of peptides over there that aren't here. Okay. Interesting. Right. Even at this point, you're saying. Yeah. I still buy them from there. And I saw this peptide. And I remember it was used for head injuries, strokes, Parkinson's. And I said, look, what is that peptide? I remember seeing it one time. So I went back and I searched for it and it was called the cerebral license. And I started, I ordered it and I started taking it, their injections. And right away, it, like it, it changed my life. I, I don't know how to describe it. What is that peptide known for? Like what do people to, you know, because each one typically is like, Oh, this one's the glow up that makes your skin great. This one does this. Like what is that peptide known to do? Well, they give it to, to people with, um, head injuries. Okay. Interesting. Uh, yeah. Uh, head injuries, Parkinson's, stroke and dementia in all timers. Interesting. Yeah. So I started taking it and like right away. Like, uh, the first night I gave myself the injection, I woke up the next day with like CRISPR vision even. Interesting. Really? Like that quick, that quick, that quick. And I, and I started taking it. It was like, I only took it for like a month. And each day it was getting better and better. And, and then my sleep was getting even like deeper. Like I started having dreams and I hadn't had dreams in like a decade. Wow. And it changes the neuroplasticity in your, uh, in your brain. Right. And it really made me like self-reflect and everything else. And I started swearing by it. And I was, I was telling my best friend, uh, who's a former professional fighter. I said, this stuff is amazing. Yeah. And he suffered a lot of concussions. And, you know, he at times would be in like a dark place, you know, from it. And I told him about it. And he, I said, do you want a box? And he said, sure. He took it. And like he is the biggest proponent of, of, of this cerebral license I've ever seen. And he's, you know, he'll send me. Thank you. You saved me. Wow. Yeah. And then he told other people about it and they swear by it. His mother takes it. Wow. And she, in like, she loves it. Can I ask you though, is that available in, in the U S now or no? No, you know, I don't know why it was created by an Austrian company in 1949. Right. And it's widely used all over Eastern Europe. Wow. How interesting is that all over Europe? They use this for, for Eastern Europe. Eastern Europe. Wow. Interesting. Yeah. Since 1949. Crazy. So they have the secret sauce and they're not, and nobody here ever picked up on it and brought it over here, except the people like in the know, like you. Yeah. And I mean, like it is phenomenal. Um, and like, uh, another friend, I told him about it in the sister is a doctor. And like, he was swearing by it and she came to visit him and told, you know, and said, let me give you a shot at this. She thought it was crazy, blah, blah, you know, and needless to say, she took the shot and later that night she was throwing up. So she blamed it on the, the cerebral license. Of course. And a month goes by, she calls them and says, you know what? It's strange, but ever since I took that shot, I've never had another migraine in my life. And as you know, I've had them since childhood. And her regret was not taking more. Yeah. So, I mean, like it really is one of those, uh, miraculous things for your brain. Yeah. I feel like I have someone booked to talk all about peptides and stuff because that's all I hear people talking about and how great they are. And there's so many different kinds and blah, blah, blah. You know, it's really super interesting what's out there now and available for people. Yeah. I mean, I think most of them, uh, are overrated. Mm-hmm. But this one is definitely not, but I think people want the ones that will make you look better, which I mean, that's great. But if your mind is not right, it's, there's, you know, Well, look, you said it helped your eyesight. It helped her migraines. I mean, you know, you get to a certain age and those kinds of things are super important too. Yeah. I mean, the, I mean, like my, my, my friend's mother, like she, she has more energy from it. Yeah, that's major. Yeah. Um, and I guess it's the only thing, um, you know, and it's created from animals, this product. Mm-hmm. What, which one? Um, I think it's, uh, they, they derive it from, uh, some type of, uh, maybe it's pig, I think pig brain. You know, and it's, uh, because it has the neural growth factors in it. So interesting what these scientists could come up with, you know, who's thinking like, what can we do with pig brains and how can we use that to make people's brains better? You know, it's a fascinating. Yeah. And like, uh, it really kind of tied the whole, uh, systematic structure in is because if your mind isn't right, you're going to keep repeating the same vicious cycle. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. So it was, uh, like a really good piece. And I think that, uh, especially once you reach a certain age, uh, um, what's that age that you would throw out there? I mean, I would probably, 40, 50s for a guy? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, for sure. Um, I mean, like if you don't need it or anyone that's ever had a head injury, guys are more, most more likely to have, uh, head injuries. Of course. Just because, you know, They beat each other up for fun. Yeah. And they're, you know, they're more risky. Yeah. And they place boards and all that kind of good stuff. Yeah. I get it. Yeah. That makes sense. Yeah. So I would think that, um, anyone that's like, uh, had concussions, I would recommend it. And I think like 40 is a prime age just to do it. And it's like realistically, they do like a serious cycle of it. You need four boxes. You're talking about $360. Total? Yeah. That's not bad. No. I mean, like, and I think the only side effect, uh, known for it is some people suffer headaches from it. Right. Interesting. Mm hmm. You know, but if you, I mean, most people probably don't do, uh, depending on what they're doing it for, they, they don't do a big enough dose, but. We're sometimes, don't you think? Cause I remember once I started taking some B12 and I was, um, I getting headaches and then I got tested because I just thought, Oh, everyone needs B12. Like how could a little bit more B12 not help me? And I was doing injections, but, um, I found out that I have, my levels were like really high and really great. And I feel like sometimes maybe it's cause someone doesn't need something. Not everybody's the same. Like you said, certain things work for you, but did it, you know, so maybe the people that get headaches, like maybe they don't need that, you know, who knows? Well, I think that, um, from, from what I've seen is the people that had it that said they, they got headaches needed it the most. Oh, interesting. So it's opposite. I mean, you don't know, I, this is the kind of something so fascinating. Like I would do a deep dive on all of that just to see like, why did the people get headaches? What was it about them compared to somebody else? You know, like I'm always so super curious. Yeah. And like, um, I know. So maybe they needed to power through, you know, maybe it was like that thing. Like you said, the herks reaction, you know? Yeah. I mean, it could be just the, uh, changing of the neuroplasticity in your brain. Yeah. You know, yeah, they're probably studying it somewhere. And the other effect is, is you have more oxygen to the brain from it. Yeah. That's amazing. So that could technically give you a headache. Yeah. For sure. Mm-hmm. That makes sense. So, I mean, uh, but if you took it right before bed, you wouldn't experience it. Right. Interesting. Exactly. Yeah. That's smart. Yeah. So, um, but I think like for, uh, if, if you wouldn't take brain health, I think that's probably the, the most important thing. If your brain's not working right, your body won't either. Yeah. Totally. How long did this journey take? I mean, you change, like, you know, and all these different changes, you're still incorporating like all this stuff that you're still a carnivore, I'm assuming. You're still going into your freezer. You're still working out the kettleballs afterwards. You're still taking these peptides. Anything else you added into the mix? Um, well, I do, I do take supplements. Um, what do you swear by for men? For men? Yeah. Any good advice you could give us? Somebody that's like really into this stuff and like always learning about it and trying things. I guess it depends like, uh, what their overall goal is. Um, you know, an aging man that feels like shit, you know, that feels like shit. You know how some people would be like, Oh, glutathione is like really great. You know, everyone's big into, uh, what's that one that everyone's put creatine right now? Everyone's like creatine, you know, like what is there any, like you would never go without this supplement? I mean, I'm just a big fan of, uh, uh, of, uh, I do take creatine. I've always taken creatine for like forever. Right. But I do take, uh, creatine like twice a day in the morning, but I mix it with mega doses of vitamin C and, uh, magnesium and glycine for, for like, um, so it takes. Um, no, mainly, uh, I mix all those together is, uh, I think that. Cause I, you know, the vitamin C you can never get too much of. Yeah. Um, same with magnesium. Mm hmm. And, uh, the glycine, it just adds a nice flavor to it cause I do it all in powders. Yeah, I get it. Yeah. What do you mix it in? Um, I just, I just put it in water. Uh, yeah, sparkling water and it tastes great. And I put potassium in it too. Interesting. And now explain your carnivore diet. How hardcore is that? Like you only eat meat. Like what do you, you only eat once a day, right? That's what you said. I do. Okay. If you go to the movies, will you have popcorn or do you not even go to the movies? Like if you go to a birthday party, will you have a slight piece of cake? I mean, I'm very vicious with my diet and I won't eat ever cake or sugar. I never, ever check, but if I go to the movie theater, we're going to have some popcorn. Like do you ever like have anything other than steak? Is there, is there anything that you like get off your cornivore for that's like a thing for you? No. Interesting. No, I mean, uh, I have like, uh, um, like today I'm, I'm having, uh, burgers and liver. Oh God. You like liver? I absolutely love liver. It's probably my favorite food. You're so lucky that, cause it's so healthy for you, but I couldn't even look at it. Well, what I do is it comes, uh, I get most of my meat. Yeah. Get wild fork. Oh, just do that. That's the pre cooked stuff, right? No, no, it is. I was wondering if the pre cooked ones work because I can't cook in my Manhattan apartment, but I would eat steak every day if I could. No, I, um, no, it comes flash frozen. Okay. So I, I go there, I get the, the burger meat and, uh, the liver and it comes frozen with the liver. Like, so I'll pull it out of the freezer, let it sit for like 10, 15 minutes. And then I chop it into like cubes. Okay. And I salt it and eat it with melted butter. Oh my God. And you find it delicious. Is this something you picked up recently? Or were you just always into liver? You know, I always like liver, but I, uh, used to cook it. Hinch, right. Or, or, um, oh wait. So these cubes, you don't, you don't even cook them? No. Is that actually real? I mean, it's disgusting. No offense. I could never, I would be, I'd have to be at fear factor, like even for fear factor, I would have $25,000. I wouldn't do it, but like, would you, would you, would you, is that danger? Like there's nothing you could do that. You could eat raw liver. It's fine. Is it actually healthier? Um, you know, I just find the taste better. Yeah. That's so interesting. You know, I mean, it, it has, you really will try anything without knowing anything. Like you don't even care. You're like, I'll just eat my river raw. You don't even care to know if like it's healthy. Yeah. I mean, it's, it tastes good. And it was, uh, my current wife had discovered the raw liver. Oh really? Yeah. I was picking up. Okay. I'm sorry, but I just Googled for you and it does pose severe risks of bacterial infections and parasites. Go to another. But what, why, why? Oh, because they're, oh, because they're flash freezing it. That's going to keep, right. That's what you said. Right. Yeah. That's the difference. Yeah. So why? Yeah. So that's, uh, I wouldn't do it with like liver. It's not flash frozen. Okay. That makes sense. Okay. I'm glad we've said that. But, uh, but even still, um, uh, like the, like burger meat, you can eat it raw. I mean, it is steak tartare. Yeah. No, no, no, I know my father's culture, they eat certain kinds of raw meat and, you know, and, and stuff. So I know that that's a thing. I get that. Yeah. Um, I think you have more risk probably from sushi than anything else. Oh, totally. Once I saw that video that was like swirling around, I haven't ever been able to eat raw sushi ever again. Like I'll have a California, you know, I'll have cooked stuff, but I can't do the raw anymore after I saw, there was some video that went around and showed all the stuff, just living on it before you're, while you're eating it. It's disgusting. I just can't do it. Yeah. And, um, and the heavy metals in sushi is pretty extreme. Yeah. I don't think I've had it in like 10 years because of what, you know, whatever. I was traumatized when I saw it. But so how do you feel now? Like how, first of all, how long you've been married to your girl and are all your demons sort of like, because you did have that sort of come to Jesus moment where you realize all these things about yourself. And was that like the big turning point and now your relationship is really great and your relationship to everything else in your life is like balance and everything and you're healthier than ever and your pain is gone. Yeah. Amazing. Pretty much. Yeah. And, uh, and helping people, uh, along the way as well. Right. And how do you do that? I, I do coaching. Okay. And what do you like, so who do you coach? Like what kind of guys and I don't know if it's just men or men and women, like who comes to you and what kind of things do you help people with? Well, I mean, you know, the big one, every, every man worries about is, uh, belly fat, but you know, most of them are like burnt out. They're 35 to, you know, 55. They lack energy. Um, some, you know, lack sexual drive. The testosterone is low. They're stressed. Um, you know, maybe they're going through a midlife crisis. Um, cause I kind of went through everything all at once. Yeah. Um, and you know, I do have like a blueprint, uh, from the book. Yeah. I wanted to give a shout out to that book too. Yeah. Yeah. And, um, yeah, the book Savage Chill, Die to Live. And, uh, I do have a free online school where there's all the material as well. Uh, cause most people don't want to, uh, coaching, but there are very good resources. And I would probably say this is, um, for men and women is from everything I've seen is everyone is severely dehydrated. Yeah. I know. I used to think I, I'm just going to tell the truth. Okay. I used to think I was like super human because I never fucking drank water and I never cared about drinking water. I would go a whole day without drinking water. I was never thirsty and I used to brag to my friends like, uh, and I could, and I was intermittent fasting before anyone was cause I just was never hungry and I could eat one meal a day like you too. So I'd always brag about like if I was on a deserted island, I'd outlive everyone cause I don't even need water. And then I was going through really bad infertility and I was doing IVF. One morning I went to get my blood tested, right? This is in my no drinking thinking I'm great that I don't need water or phase. And they went to get my blood and they couldn't get it out. They're like, are you dehydrated? Like my blood was so thick, it wouldn't come out. And that scared the fuck out of me. And I started drinking and I started, and then I realized that if you get to the point where I was, where you don't even ever get thirsty, you are beyond severely dehydrated, you will literally lose your feeling of needing water. But that is like the most unhealthy as put like, I thought I was great cause I had that, but it was because I was so dehydrated for so many years that you, your body stops even craving it. Once I started drinking water again, like a normal person, I get thirsty, you know, but for like 20 years of my life, I never was. And I thought it was great, but it was actually the most unhealthy thing. Yeah. And like that's a big cause of anxiety too, for a lot of people as well. Yeah, that's interesting. That just so you, so those people, maybe it's like a dehydration will trigger that in them. Oh yeah. Um, I had a client, um, and she went to the top specialist that she was on, um, suppositories for eight years. For what? Like, um, cause she couldn't, she couldn't, she couldn't shit. Oh, okay. Right. Okay. Cool. And, uh, she went to the top doctor and they wanted to, uh, give her the, uh, I don't know what the term is, the shit bag. Yeah. And, you know, she opted out of it and she found me and I had a phone call with her. And I told her, I said, shoot to drink at least a gallon of water a day. Right. And I said, don't do the suppositories. See what happens. And I gave some breathing exercises and literally then, you know, she started that day and called me the next day. She used the bathroom all on her own. The doctor, you know, wanted to basically ruin her life. And she was just dehydrated. Yeah. Amazing. They do say that just drinking, like, cause, you know, everyone wakes up and has that first cup of coffee. That's what you do, right? The typical person, not you, but like, you know, they do say that there's like just having the first thing in the morning, one cup of water, like could really change your whole life. Like literally that's what you start with one cup of water. Then you can have your coffee, if you're a regular person, everything afterwards. But that could really help a lot of stomach issues as well. It opens up that little thing inside of you that could be stuck. I forget what it's called. Yeah. Like for, for me, like I drink 60 ounces of water before my feet even touch the ground. Wow. So what do you have it just right next to your bed? Yep. I fill it up at night. I have. How much is 60 ounces? Like you compare it to like a large bottle, like a water bottle. Almost, almost a half gallon. Okay. Wow. Okay. Yeah. And then I do a quick workout and I go downstairs and right before it, then I have another 30. Wow. You know, and you know, if you look at, um, because I look at what other people are preaching, but like Tom Brady. Yeah. Like his whole TB, whatever, 12 program he has. I didn't know he had one. Yeah. Um, he talks about water and he like measures water like extreme. I thought I was the only one that does this. And he actually says that you need one ounce of water per pound of body weight. Wow. And that's like a bare bone minimum. And if you add alcohol, you have to increase it. If you're working out with coffee, right? Coffee after double, right? Yeah. Yeah. So he said that when during training session, you know, and heavy training sessions, he was drinking, um, two to three times his body weight, right? And, you know, announces. So that's a lot of water. Yeah. And a lot of people will push back and they'll say, well, you're washing out, uh, you know, um, uh, electrolytes. I do take a lot. I do take electrolytes, but, um, even before I did that, I've always been a pretty, uh, avid water drinker. Mm hmm. I mean, the, the being dehydrated is the worst thing you can do to yourself. Yeah. No, I told you, I, when I learned, when I started looking into it cause, uh, cause of my issue, and then I realized, cause I was always this Uber healthy person. I don't eat sugar. I work out all the time. Like, you know, I don't do carbs. I was like very that way my whole life. That the fact that I wasn't drinking water, like I was like the unhealthiest person. You know what I mean? It was like, I was horrified. It totally changed my life. Same with sleep. I think sleep was, you know, me and my friends used to brag like we only need five hours of sleep, two hours of sleep, you know, and that's another thing that is like so super important for health. Oh, it's the, um, it is probably the most important. Yeah. Yeah. And a lot of people will brag like me and my friends used to like, oh, we only need five hours. Everyone's so fucking lazy. They got to sleep all the time. And listen, I think everybody has to, has a sleep amount of time that like if I'm like one hour over seven hours or one hour less than seven hours, like I don't feel good. You know what I mean? Seven for me is right. And everybody has that, I think, you know, but there is a, you do need to fucking sleep too. It's not, not great to get no sleep. Yeah. And, and everyone seems to suffer from sleep problems and melatonin is probably the worst thing you can take. Oh, well, I've been taking melatonin for 35 years. I can't go to sleep without, I love melatonin. Um, why is it bad? Well, because you, your natural production of it stops. Oh, that's probably why I got it. It's like my water. Yeah. Um, but, you know, they're like at night, I do have a, uh, I'm actually going to come out and sell it, but I do have a sleep drink that I've, I've perfected over the last five years. Yeah. And it basically is a mega dose of vitamin C. Magnesium glycinate. Yeah. Turin, glycine, GABA and tryptophan and potassium. Right. And that'll make you sleepy and tired like a normal person. Oh yeah. And I was going to London on a business trip with, uh, with a guy and we got on the plane and I was pouring my sleep drink into it. And he's like, what is that? I said, I asked him my sleep drink so I can sleep on the flight. Yeah. And he's like, give me some. He's like, I can never, I've never fallen asleep on a flight. Yeah. And I said, okay. And he's like, this won't work. He drank it and I literally look over, you know, he's on the next row. Yeah. Five minutes at like 10 minutes after he's out cold, the plane lands the following day I've been up. I have to start shaking him. Oh my God, it's too good. And he's like, he's like, he's like, what is in that? He's like, did you drug me? That's great though. Let's say when you make that shit, let me know, you know, me and I'll buy some. But why don't you give a shout out to all your stuff in case guys want to get, like you said, you have stuff on your website, you have a book that you could be hired, you know, if anyone wants more information, you have a school, skol, right.com slash, you know, give out your information. But for everyone driving that's listening, because listening, because, you know, most people are driving a lot of times, I will put a link to your stuff in the description, but just definitely give a shout out to you. You have your book, right? I have the book, Savage Chill Die to Live. Yeah. And if you just go to my website, Savage Chill Style. That's what I'll put in the, yeah, that's what I'll put in the description. Savage Chill Style. Everything is there. Everything is there. The book, the school. I also, on the actual school, I actually have a video on how to convert a deep freezer to a cold punch. Yeah, interesting. I, you know, I was trying, I was wanting a little bit more information, but I need to get your whole life story in this, but like people could get that kind of information from you. That's the kind of information you have, like those details. Yeah. And, and you'll, you'll like it is like in the book too. For guys or women that are struggling, I always, I start with hydration, but the other thing is clutter. Right. Interesting. You know, clutter and then systematizing, because if you have clutter, you'll, you'll always fail. Yeah. I think that says a lot about somebody and their life, you know, for sure. Absolutely. It's energy. All that stuff has energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. It's energy. All that stuff has energy. Oh yeah. And it's, it's willpower too. If you walk past the pile of, I know, never pick it up. What the fuck's wrong with you? Cause you have to make a decision when you walk by it every time. Yeah. Yeah. Totally. Yeah. Listen, I love how you live your life. I'm like, you know, savage. I'm a little less savage right now because I'm a single mom and I'm, you know, I'm well fucking workaholic and it's harder for me to be as hardcore as I've always been. But, you know, I have a, I'm hardcore in every other area of my life, but I love your lifestyle. I like, I like, I said, I started my sexual health Saturdays series because I love health and fitness and all this stuff. Like you like all this stuff. Like I've always been Googling at my whole life, working out my whole life, looking into stuff I had of my workout friend was always getting shit from Russia. I know all about all that stuff. So it's super interesting. I like your whole life story. And you know, I will put your link to your website in the description. So if people want more information from you because it sounds like you've got some good hacks for people, I will put that in the description. But thanks so much for coming on the show, Dan. I'm not Dan, I'm calling you Dan because I know Dan Savage. I'm calling you Dan because it's Dan Savage, but you're not Dan Savage. Thanks, Cam. Thanks for calling in. No, thank you. Thank you so much for having me on. Yeah, this was fun. It'll be up on a Saturday, probably not this Saturday because I already have the one edited, but maybe next Saturday. Okay. Okay. And for, yeah. And that's perfect. Next Saturday. Yeah, probably next Saturday. Sometimes I switch up the experts with the regular people, but you're kind of like a regular person because I have a doctor this week. So I'm most likely, yeah, for sure it'll be a Saturday, next Saturday. Okay. Okay. Perfect. Thanks so much. All right. Thanks, Cam. Good talking to you. You too. Bye. Okay. I just want to tell you before you go that I do have a book. The book is called Shrinkly Non-Misconfessions, Secret Sex Lives of Total Strangers. The book is basically 17 different stories taken from my show. I kind of picked one story from each category that I talk about on my show. Like there's a hot wife story. There's a cook queen story. There's a cuckold story. There's a gang being girl story. There's like, you know, like I said, 17 stories and they're all told in the third person, right? So I took the interview and I rewrote it and the third person. I wouldn't call it like an erotica book though. There's plenty of sex in there, right? But I didn't write it to sound like erotica because that's like the vibe of my show. You're going to learn a lot. You're probably going to get a little turned on. It's a different way to hear these stories. Like I said, because they're written out in third person. There's an ebook available. If you don't want your partner to know that you're reading my book, get the ebook. It's available. If you buy my book in any format, I will throw in a complimentary link to my discord.
