Summary

The Find Out Podcast discusses the fatal ICE shooting of Alex Predy, an ICU nurse in Minneapolis, analyzing the incident as an execution-style killing and exploring Democratic legislative responses including potential government shutdown tactics to defund ICE operations and implement agent accountability measures.

Insights
  • Public opinion has shifted dramatically against ICE operations, creating political pressure that is forcing even Trump to walk back rhetoric and causing Republican fissures including NRA statements and candidate withdrawals
  • Democratic leverage exists through budget negotiations: withholding DHS funding votes and splitting omnibus bills into individual pieces can force policy changes without requiring Republican support
  • Unmasking ICE agents is identified as the most effective deterrent to excessive force, as accountability through visibility changes agent behavior more than training or immunity reforms
  • The normalization of federal overreach through ICE precedent creates dangerous templates for future administrations to expand surveillance and enforcement regardless of political party
  • Celebrity and influencer silence on political violence is being treated as complicity, with public pressure campaigns targeting those who fail to speak out on major human rights issues

Hey, everybody. Welcome back to the find out podcast. Quick apology for not having a show last week on Thursday, but we were all together and we don't actually know how to do a show together without professionals with us. We did not do it. We're a bunch of idiots. Take the live or something like just put it on our phone. Yeah, we should have done that. But anyways, we were doing a lot of planning and with stuff we could share with you soon. But obviously, unfortunately, the main topic of today is that they that everybody is talking about, which is that ice has murdered a second American citizen, a nurse, an ICU nurse by the name of Alex Prety. I think we've all seen about 17 different angles of this horrific horrific moment in which ice goes up, instigates, tackles him to the ground, takes the gun that he had her in his waste away from him of which he never touched. And then they fired about 10 because they were counting in some of these videos, 10 shots into this man who is now obviously not longer with us, which has set off a firestorm again, as ice has done what they did two weeks ago to Renee Good. But in this particular case, it is even clearer that it was a execution. I think we can say execution at this point. And the country is at a boiling point. And something's going to have to give here soon. And that's what we're going to talk about here today is how we're feeling about this. What Democrats could do to stop this. We have some ideas. And also just talk about this general offalness. So who wants to kick off their feelings about how shitty this is? My first reaction and I'm pleased that it didn't go this way was when I saw this happen and then when I saw the video, I was like, there's going to be fucking riots. And I thought too. And I mean, it's going to be really bad. And and Trump immediately was calling Jacob Fry and Tim Wall's insurrectionists on true social was like, I hear that word. And I know that you threatened to invoke the insurrection act a thousand times. So I thought we might be 12 hours away from like depending on how people respond in the streets, which I'm glad they didn't, you know, from from him invoking the insurrection act. And then there would be doom spiraling for everybody. And we'd have to start to like work back from that and it would just get worse. So the fact that Minneapolis responded well, you know, as well as you can that Tim Walls, you know, he activated the national guard immediately. I think they took the right steps to keep Trump from having permission to do the things that he might have wanted to do and that certainly Stephen Miller and people like that were telling him to do. And you know, and since then I feel like the states leadership and states investigators, the national guard, I saw his handing out hot chocolate and pizza the protesters wearing wearing bright yellow vest. So that they look so much like this. Yeah, yeah, yeah, fucking I say I say just everyone who's trying to be the better version of America is stepping up. And and it's painted them them the Trump people in a really, really difficult corner to get themselves out of. And I think that's why it's showing up, you know, like don't worry guys, Tom Homan's showing up now. So they'll take care of it all. Fucking guy who accepted $50,000 on a bribe. As I say, is he is he paying first flight with the bag of cash that he's never said where it went. We should get that Somali fraud money and then, you know, boom. Oh, yeah, like triple his money in no time. Yeah. So for those who you don't know, Trump has, I don't know if I'd say walking it back today, but he is he has said that he had a very, I don't know, he always describes the phone calls so stupidly, but tremendous. I had tremendous phone call with Tim Walls or Pleasant or I don't know, beautiful. He said beautiful, perfect phone calls. He's also talked to the mayor, Jacob Frye, and his solution to this problem is to send Tom Homan, who runs ICE, which is not really a great solution. And I think he also tossed in, he's going there to investigate a low mar because of course you're going to throw some racism into the, yep, it's a pile and not just admit anything, but they're losing that the public opinion on this is so stark that only the most dying part. Right. I mean, no, I mean, like, I'm happy. Don't get I'm a little surprised, but I'm happy. But like, there are groups. I mean, there were two gun groups yesterday, the NRA being one of them after being silent for a day, because they are cowards and they don't deserve any credit here. But they did put out a tweet that said that one of the US, one of the US attorneys had tweeted out something that's like if you approached a law enforcement officer and you are carrying, there is a high likelihood that they will be justified in shooting you, which is not true. And they actually came out and said that. And then there was a guy from the Minnesota gun owners association or something like that said, I've watched the video and it doesn't look like Alex Prety did anything wrong. So there are fissures in a usual, usually like an iron clad group. I think they know they're in trouble. And the other thing I'll mention and then we can go into it is that one of the leading candidates for Minnesota governor today dropped out of the race and the reason that he gave was that he can no longer support what the US federal government and national Republicans are doing in his state. Yeah. And I think that is a big deal. I mean, I would like to point out that the NRA said that one thing that was good, but they're like far reaching statement on the thing was majorly sucking ISIS dick. I mean, they, they did not do any of this shit where like, okay, he was all right. No, they, they're like they're, they're broad reaching statement was bullshit. Yeah. Of course, they suck to be clear. But even even the one little thing on that, they get the lures for them. Yeah. Zach, go ahead. No, I mean, I think this is the reason I was maybe the least alarmist or anybody about Trump getting elected is because I think that every single person, even the people who voted for Trump, there is a breaking putt got threshold of their breaking point. And all we're seeing is Trump taking more steps and more people reaching that breaking point. And I think he's starting to realize, oh, fuck, there are too many people reaching their breaking point right now because Trump, his main thing is how well am I doing? And at a certain point, he can't spin it. Like when things are like not great, but like you could probably spin it on Fox News. It sound like it's fine. Trump thinks shit is going awesome. And all the people in his ear go and you're doing great. This is awesome. When it's shit like this, Trump reverses course in a millisecond because he's just like, oh, shit, they don't like me. And he just, it's too real for him. So I think like, I saw it's a very good call is what he referred to it as. It's so, you know, pretty not surprising. And he said, quote, seem to be on a similar wavelength. I think Trump is coming to the terms of the fact that like this is just a bunch of lunatics that like what he's doing and everybody who pretty much elected him is going, nope, sir. I'm not saying he needs to get that shit straight in. That's really rough. I mean, yeah, if whole hot wheels is coming out, you're in trouble. And that's a, that's a big task for him, given all the ice in Texas, you know, he's that's I know there's a fuckload of it. Ted Cruz evacuated. That's true. He did leave again. He went to Laguna for fundraiser, I think. And then of course, he posted this like ridiculous photo that's like, here I'm back. And it's like, you are, he's just shit. But, yeah, I think, you know, this is the closest to that those people get to saying I did something wrong or I apologize. People keep, yeah, they think that that them failing will look like them saying we failed. No, them failing is we recognizing that they are failing. And we say it. And then we don't go, okay, well, now that now that you recognize that you made some mistakes, now is the time for civility. Right. We have to stay on offense until, you know, I think that the direction we're going with the government shutdown, not to get into that too quickly, but the, you know, the potential government shutdown, like, yes, unmask, reduce the extra funding, like there are things that, completely disarmed democratic minority in Congress can still do. I can try to do some concessions to slow it down. Right, at least, at least do just do the right thing. But if you can successfully slow anything down, that that that works, that helps. If you can, you know, pull things out of the out of the budget and then get it through so that, you know, things have to materially change. That's even better. But anything to get us through the next 10 months to where we can do like, you know, push hard for impeachments and a full-blown defunding and that kind of thing, it's all the right steps, but they need to keep, they need to push hard. I have a very hard like it's one thing for Trump to go ahead and very good call with Tim Walls. I think it's a totally other thing to expect him to actually reverse course on a formal policy perspective, because Trump still likes the policy. He still likes IEC. He still wants to do all this shit. I have a very hard time believing that unless Democrats actually fucking hold the line and don't cave that he'll do anything about this. Like he'll just be like, well, that was a little too much and then he'll just keep doing it. So there's two, there's two scenarios that I think are unfolding on Capitol Hill. So first off, Chuck Schumer said, no democratic votes for DHS spending bills, which is Department of Home and Security is where I sit. So John Thune, the Senate Majority Leader kind of has two options here. He can put on omnibus with everything on it on it on the on the floor and risk an entire government shutdown. Or he can do, which is what the Democrats, I think, are asking for is to break them all up into individual pieces and push it that way. So I don't know what Thune's going to do. You know, I think you're right, Zach, like Democrats have to hold the line, but like this murder, like it's the tune changed dramatically from Friday when there were seven Democrats on the house side that voted for this bill, which they should not have done, but they did. And some of them are already recanting because I think it was Tom Swosey of New York, said he made a mistake and voted for it. So the calculus is quite different here. I think the question is how can the can the Democrats get these bills split up into individual bills and then just shot DHS down or do we shut the whole government down? Yeah. And I don't know what the, I mean, whatever the price is, we need to pay it because it's just we just have to do it. And I think like rich to your point, like the number one thing in my head is on masking them. They will do so much less shit like this if their face is on camera all the time. Like I think that is the magic solution to at least cutting down the risk of shit like this happening again. If your face is on camera and you're shooting someone in the head repeatedly and then your guy next juice clapping about it, you don't want your face to that. Right. Exactly. Yeah, they actually said boohoo after this guy shot 10 times insane. And they they stopped. They want to do they wanted to count bullet holes. And they were they hear the count. You hear the one of the calls right? Dickhead who took it off him is fucking 10, 10 yards back. It's ridiculous. Because he didn't communicate was he didn't say I'm disarming him. Right. You can all watch the video. Like these are just people who have no idea what they're doing. Best case scenario. They're out to hurt people if at all possible worst case scenario. And I mean, you see him take the gun out of the guys, you know, tailbone area of his pant line. Like clearly. It's a clock holster. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Six o'clock holster. That's the that's the that's the way you say it. Um, I mean, he's got his forearms on the ground, right? Like he's he's he's in fetal position essentially on his knees and forearms both hands on the ground. And they disarm him and then they shoot him. I mean, and I saw something that somebody said it's like just like call a duty or something like that. I don't know if that was an AI clip. I you know, I have independently validated that. That is certainly how a lot of those people are behaving though. Yeah. And where they just think like they're owning the noobs, you know, and I think that's the people who they attracted to this to this, you know, private militia. And uh, it didn't have to get this bad. But the fact that the fact that they were both, you know, both Renee good and Alex Freddie were unarmed when they were killed. No criminal records. I was talking to my wife about the Sasai night. I said, you know, it's not it's not right or wrong, but it is true that if these were minorities with a criminal record, the whole national dialogue would be different. And they would be and they would there there is nothing for Trump and his people to latch onto here. I mean, he's a he's a trauma nurse in the IC. He's for the video. As a video of him giving a fucking tear filled tear-filled speech for a veteran. Yes. He takes care of veterans who took care of veterans for a living and was protecting protesters, just standing with protesters. And that was all it took. I mean, there's nothing for them to defend. And so they just they have nothing. There's no oxygen in the room for them. What do you go watch them like twirl and twist and try to justify the fact that they were all super happy when Kyle Rittenhouse showed up in Wisconsin with an AR-15 strapped across his chest. And he actually killed two people. Right. They were fine with that. They were unarmed. Well, on the 20th on the 20th Kyle Rittenhouse tweeted out a picture of himself with a fucking mini gun saying, this is what I'm going to take to Minneapolis. And there were like thousands of Republicans who retweeted it. This guy was fucking hilarious. Yep. Well, and also like they can't seem to like they are like this guy deserved it, but Ashley Babitt, who was trying to break through glass in the Capitol. She was murdered. Like it just they they you cried like this for Ashley Babitt, right? I'm like, no, no. She was breaking the law. She was committing a ton of crimes. Right. And there were like three hours deep in committing a ton of crimes. This is not the throw the government. Right. This is not like I had a news outside. Kill Mike Pence. Well, they were yelling. Where's the anti-policy? Feel the or this is the same thing. I'm like, only if you don't know anything about either situation, can you make that claim? Or you're operating in bad faith, which is what they're doing, right? But I think this time it's always bad faith. But this time, they're stuck. Because there are like the written house situation is really the one where you look at that. You go, they are actually from a why you would approach somebody the same. Except this guy was concealed carrying which he had a permit for and was legally allowed to do. He wasn't doing anything wrong. They were like, well, he's an impeding investigation. He was waving traffic through. It was helping a woman out with a camera. They put her in a sprayer and was helping her up. The last word of his mouth were, are you okay? I also don't forget that. Yeah, because they are treated to care for people. The same with like when this when he got shot 10 times, there was a pediatrician in a building next door who heard the shots and came out and ice would not let them treat him for several minutes. Yeah. Like they're all we administered aid immediately. No, you didn't. No, you didn't. We just we just watched the film. Like any of those angles, they were counting bullet holes. Yep. They were not trying to see and flop in his, you can see them flopping his lifeless body around looking for the gun that the other guy had already taken. Yeah, they had no idea. And you can see it in, I don't know which one of the clips it is, but you can clearly see the guy pull it out. Yeah. Like the stabilized version of the pink coat ladies. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. And and CFA Sean filtered called out even that and I don't have the eye that he does. So it's hard for me, but people who are close to guns say that the gun accidentally discharged by the ice agent as he was pulling it out, which does. That's one of the things that you do. If you've ever held a gun with a sensitive trigger, which I have, they are, they go off if you don't know what you're doing. Right. And that wouldn't surprise me. So, you know, he took it and it did look like the bolt action or the, the, what do he call it? Help me out here? The slide slide slide back. And there was a puff as he was pulling it away as somebody was yelling gun and or, or, you know, he's got a gun or something like that. So like again, best case scenario, if this isn't as some people are saying like, well, they need better training. Okay, that ship is sailed. They needed better training like two years ago. Um, you know, they panic. They tackle a guy. Somebody pulls it out. He accidentally discharges as somebody's yelling gun. And so they all unload on someone who is already submitted. Like even if he's still armed, he's on the cloud. They're shooting him as he's dead already. There's like the final shots. He's dead. Here's the whole, the problem with the whole fucking, they need better training argument. They're not bad people because they're untrained. They're bad people because they're bad people. Yeah. Like when you look at the behavior of them, when they say things like boo, who after they just fucking executed someone or they say, fucking bitch after they blast a woman who did nothing. That's not the behavior that's instilled in them by bad training. That's true. Who they are. It's true. Well, it's bad. If anything, it's bad screening and bad requirements. Well, of course, they don't even enforce on fucking PT requirements. But is it bad or is it deliberate? I don't think they care. I don't know. Even this doesn't give a shit, right? Or just the goal. There's nothing to give a shit. I've brought this back up a couple of times because it's constantly relevant. But they are and who knows what it is. This is probably in the bill that we need to shut down. But they had a hundred million dollar recruiting campaign scheduled. This came out over the holidays. And so it didn't get as much press. But Christie, no, the DHS has a hundred million dollar recruiting campaign where they're using geo fencing, which is if you're in a physical area, you get an ad on your phone. If you're not in that physical area, you don't get served the ad. They're using geo fencing to target conservative campuses to target NASCAR events and to to target gun shows with classic ice recruiting ads. So they're using a hundred million dollars of our tax dollars to go to places where these people were talking about consolidate themselves. And they're targeting ads to them to try to get them to go and join ice so that ice can get their 10,000 additional agents this year to go out and do more of what these people are doing. If I had to guess three weeks ago, I would have said there is a 0% chance this is not going to happen. If I have to guess now, I think we actually have a coin flip chance that either getting the campaign shut down or they put the campaign out there and people go, I don't want to fucking do that. I don't want to be part of that. And so it's on people as well. They have to respond to the job ad. So making sure that nobody forgets that this stuff happens, it will actually pay dividends. It just never had to get to this point. The first one. Well, this brings me to another point, which is actually this is a good segue, which is, you know, there's we're sort of at the point now in this in this country where everybody has to speak up. And there's been a lot of pressure this weekend on celebrities and influencers to speak up or go away. Silence is complicity. Right. And we're seeing it. I mean, there was even this woman who I used to think was super liberal, but I guess not. Kristen Chenoweth is a good example. She's a Broadway star. She was in the West Wing for a little bit. And she like was posting like crazy when Charlie Kirk died. And you know, she posted and you know what she posted this weekend as her post. It was like what that, like what is an owl do type me thing? Oh, sweet. That's what she did. Reloved after this guy died after like like basically lionizing Charlie Kirk. This woman just went completely silent. And I think that this is a person pictures of himself with his car. Yeah, it's just like I think look, if no one's willing to take a stand on this, you should stop following them. Yeah, just stop following them. Like we have to start operating with our with our pocketbooks. And even though, you know, following someone doesn't cost money, it does cost them money when they don't have as many followers. And I think it's time for people to stand up or or you get nothing. Yeah, not with you. I mean, like look, it's sort of like I mean, even being Jewish, it feels weird to say this, but it's similar to when you know, the Naziism was rising up and the average German was like, it'll be fine. I don't know, not so worried about it. That didn't turn out awesome. And not to say that this will turn out in the at the same level of catastrophe. But I think there is a chance that this could get substantially worse if people are just like, well, you know, I didn't see it happen. It's fine. It's just in Minneapolis. Like, all right. Yeah. But give it a second. You know, it's not going to take long for it to spread like because the more permission you give ice to let this happen with no actual ramifications, the more likely it's just going to keep getting worse and worse because they know that they can press further, you know, in the in the spirit of giving a shout out, I pulled up a couple of quick lists of people who are not in the political pieces of shit. We're not using a list celebrities and athletes who have spoken out, specifically regarding Alex Freddie, Billy Eilish, of course, Pedro Pascal, of course. I mean, I love that dude. Olivia Wilde, Natalie Portman, Ariana Grande, Mark Ruffalo, Corswanda Sykes, best person ever. Matt Naswald, Pat, the list is probably shorter of the good people, especially in Hollywood. But really in sports is where you don't see it when it matters most because they're just there's half of the half of the fans, you know. But Tyrese Halliburton from the Indiana Pacers posted on acts that Alex Freddie was murdered. That's it. Brandon Stewart from New York Liberty, Steve Kerr, of course, Golden State Warriors coach, routinely speaks out against the shit. NBA players association broke the ice. I was an attention. I don't like that one. I don't like that one. You're right about this sport. Sports is such a. And that's really what they did a moment of silence. They did. Adrian Wajik, what a hell is his name? I can't even say. Now ski. Yeah, he he posted about standing up to fascism. So you give him credit too. But reporters usually sports reporters. Defenders, twins, other teams. Yeah. I mean, lots and lots and you don't get an easier opportunity to do something to say the right thing. This is like after 9-11. You know, oh, you know, this is sad. Let's not have more of this. Like just so yes, to be posting the owl videos like those were cute for like, I don't know, a minute. The Barack Obama one was funny. The Brooklyn one right after a real real quick shout out. Los Angeles castes video where she was Erica Kirk. And then the Charlie Kirk music in the background. She's counting money and she goes. That's really good. That's really good. We should have left more time for the owl apparently. But no. But sure, it's time for people to stand up. Yeah, I think you can't stand if you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything. Right. Yep. I don't know. It's just like it's so hard to get people to stand up when it like they just don't see the correlative between their life and what's going on. Like it's like I think most people who aren't standing up look at it go, yeah, it's wrong. But what the fuck do I care? And it's like how, you know, I don't know how to get it through to people like that. Or it's like, yeah, but the precedent getting said is extremely dangerous. And it's awful. Like for some reason, it just doesn't land for some people. Even if they agree. Like that's the scary part is there are people out there who like agree this is wrong. But they just, you know, they don't give enough of a shit. They just walk away. That's like the worst group of people. Like we really need them to be like, hey, maybe say something as opposed to being like, these the enemy of empathy. Right. And I think that's the cornerstone of white privilege. Right. It's like the more power groups that you're in, which is all, all of us except for loop being married because that is also a power group. But straight white married Christians and gun owners, you know, they, they're those are the people who are like, I don't really like to talk about politics. Yeah, because you don't have to talk about politics. The thing is, they're so on control. They're so stupid that they don't even realize that this thing is a precedent that affects them. Yeah. Yeah. Like I know so many dumb fucks who carry a gun everywhere they go. I've seen assholes at the fucking subway getting a foot long with an AR 15 scrap strap across their back. And if the president is that a cop can fucking blast you 10 times because he sees a gun on you. Yeah. You're fucked. Yeah. They don't get that. The thing that we were chatting with some friends over the like opposite case scenario that would just be like beyond mind-blowing, but imagine if imagine if, you know, like 2012 Barack Obama had said, we're going to go door to door and just make sure that nobody has illegal guns in their house. And we have a federal police that is going to go door to door. We're just going to knock on your door. You know, we're going to use all of your data, your social security data, your transaction data, your credit data, your tax data. We're going to use every single piece of data that we have. We're also going to work with every big tech company available. We're going to pull all this data together. We're going to just make sure now that we know everything about everything that the guns you have in your home are completely legal and safely secured so that we can protect your second amendment rights. He could have done that using the precedent that Donald Trump is setting right now. So if we don't stop in their like, you're a wooded, it'll never be you cooks. You know, I'm like, you've never paid attention to history, right? Because we're always the ones who win in the end. Right. It's always the good people eventually won every big conflict in this country. They just live in this fantasy land where they're immune to the consequences of their interactions. I think the troubling thing is that there is a not insignificant number of people in this country who are totally fine with other people's rights being taken away from them. Yes. Again, the people who say like, I don't like politics. That's just code for, I voted for that guy. Right. I mean, it's just at this point, it happened to me like, I posted something on LinkedIn, which you know, say what you want about LinkedIn, but I said something's political and somebody was like, this isn't the place for it. I'm like, Bullshit, it's not like what are you talking about? It's not like business and politics are intertwined, bro. Like there is no like politics without business and vice versa. Like I'm sorry that I have invaded your safe space where you want to talk about B2B bullshit all day long. But like, this is real life guys. Like people are getting killed. People are being arrested with no drew process. Like that seems like a big deal that we should probably be talking about everywhere. It's a good one. And like it's honestly, you want to know who you're doing business with. You know, if you're going to, if you want to, you know, connect on LinkedIn, I want to know who the fuck I'm like, it's also part of like business culture. If you get a bunch of fucking assholes or going to come and be like, I think it's great that ice is just murdering and murdering. I'm pretty sure your business isn't going to do great because majority people will be like, I don't want to see. Did you see the fuck in furniture store that got whacked because the wife of the owner, I think she's also an owner said something along the lines of we should just exterminate these liberals. Jesus. And I think it was Nathan June who did it first. He made a video where he tracked him down. And the husband had to come out and make an apology. Good. Because they were just everybody was fucking shitting on them. It does it. Being pro Trump, unless you're a billionaire in a, or a, or a high millionaire, like small business owner, it doesn't, it doesn't pay. What do you do? Good look. No respect it. Look, sorry. Ms. Furniture lady, but like liberals buy furniture too. Like probably more of a nonsense furniture than. Wow. Still live. Yeah. That's just like, yeah, it's just Republican. So we always have that like 40 piece sectional that's covered in dog stains. And there's nothing else on the walls. It's just like white American flag. White walls. A blue line. Yeah. The blue line. Always the blue life. Like the thin blue line flag. Like a Harley imposed over it, you know, or over the sectional. That's just, and then a 900 inch TV over the entire place. But it's important to remember that that 900 inch TV came from Walmart. And it was the cheapest one they make. From China. From China. From China. 100%. We got a rent a center. Okay. So that's a thing. It used to be a thing. It was like, yeah, buy this piece of furniture and pay $5 a month for like all of eternity. Your children will have to take it over when you die. The couch will be long gone. It's at least 60 grand total. Yeah. Don't don't use those things. Our two Republican listeners are looking in their living room gone. You guys are dicks. Fuck you guys. I like my TV. It used to work great. This was only 800 inches. Well, let's talk about solutions. Yeah. So we talked a little bit about shutdown. Schumer has said no, no funding or no votes for funding until there's a real investigation. I think no more masked agents. There might have been one or two other things. I assume we are all in favor of dems holding the line and shutting the shit down. Fuck you. As long as they're not going to fucking back out like they did last time. Well, that's the point. I swear Christ. If they do this shit again and they fucking quit out. I know. I, it's insane. I'll make a video calling them cut Schumer. I swear to Christ. Let's make a video calling them. Tim, you accidentally said shut down Schumer. And I'm like, that's actually not the worst slogan. We should start calling them shut down Schumer and just give him that badge to own. You're welcome. And then you have to choose to mine already later. Exactly. Shut down Schumer. Get it done. You're marketing for you. It's all done. Shut down. My work here is done. I did a threads post where I just had three things. I'd be happy if they did it. One was no masks. I think that's the most important thing. Two is no more warrantless entry to homes or vehicles. Jesus Christ. And three is no absolute immunity for ice agents. That's like that. If that was all we got. I'd be very clear. They don't have absolute immunity. But what do they call it? Privilege immunity or there's a name for it. They claim they have absolutely. I want legislation signed into law that states they don't. Is it qualified immunity? Qualified immunity. I think it's not. Yeah. Whatever the fucking is. I want all that out. That because that will be changed their behavior. Did you guys see JD Vance's clips that were stitched together? I didn't say he had absolute immunity. He's like, I didn't say. He's had no absolute immunity. It wasn't even two weeks. It was like 12 days, I think. Do you like like cameras don't exist? I know. Yeah, but they can say it because their supporters will just believe them or just not care. Yeah, they don't give a shit. So they just keep saying like the most important thing in that world is strength and not admitting any fault. Which I would argue is maybe one of the worst traits that anybody could have is to never have a bit fall. Imagine you're going through your whole life, never admitting a mistake. Like how how how many first of all, how many friends are you going to have around you? Yeah. It's just it's just all like Trump shit. I never wrong. That's the whole thing. Oh, that's kind of good. That was kind of close. That's you see what you've never wrong. Never wrong. Yeah. Always right. Oh, you got a little that. Yeah, you're in the size right. Get the vocal fry. Get the get the at the end where he sips in a bunch of weird area. Why are you doing this? Well, did you guys see that this was like a thing the day before? Like how best up his hand was in Davos. Oh, my gosh. He's a he's a switchheader for shaking hands now, right? Because it was his lefty, right? Yeah. Yeah. Well, though, I think they were like, oh, he hit his hand on a table. I'm like, do you know how hard you'd have to hit your hand on a table to do what that did? I mean, I guess if you're ingesting 600 tile at 600 tile in all day, that, I mean, what a house takes. Aspirin. I want I want him to be on a bunch of long flights, because this dude is going to get a blood clot because he's got fucking chronic fetus and sufficient. That's a incredible. Yeah. Maybe is, but just go on a bunch of like, you know, trips to Asia. It'll be great. It's not going to be risky at all. Like I I don't know. He should be dead by now. Maybe when I was wanting that electrical problem, that was actually just Donald Trump's circuits that were going going to go lower, guys, got to go lower. The compression socks aren't working. He's got to be like, he's got to be like, he's just like a whole compression suit. Yeah, exactly. Well, that's the thing. You see the cancels. He's like, I'm like, he must have a stretch jacket. Like dude, he's got such man's. His ankles are like twice the size they used to be. It's horrible. I mean, that's like literally the biggest risk for a blood clot ever. I'm sure he's on crazy. That's a blood thinners, which is also awful for you. Like, I don't know. Every time we get into this, I just then think, well, fuck JD Vance to be president. I know. I don't think that's, but I don't, I don't think so. I think he would just, he would go hard pivot, like low key unlock big tech intrusion into everything. Yeah. Peter Tee. He's just the, right. He's just the billionaire, you know, tool. He's not like a lot of the, well, I think a lot of the worst intrusions into our personal lives with with ice and everything would, would scale back, but the tripling down with Palantir and stuff like that would dramatically, I want to talk about that for a second because this weekend, TikTok had a bit of a problem. And then when they shifted over to the United States control, at least in the United States, the app is still broken today three days later. I've had videos that have like likes on it and zero views, but like mostly no one's getting anything. So I thought allowing big tech to do whatever they want meant we were going to get this these, you know, maybe in Donald Trump's words, like beautiful data centers and beautiful migrations of technology. But like these guys can't even move a fucking platform without it shoving. And now they're going to be able to like with if we allow them, they're going to be basically like every camera in our how-homes and every Alexa is going to be listening. Oh, yeah. Like they kind of already are, I think, but they would just be less weird. They'd be like, we're just doing it like it or not. You know, this is what we're going to do now. I tell you what though, I have been exceedingly disappointed by some individuals on the left's reaction to this TikTok thing. Like who? Because the sheer amount of misinformation that I've seen spread by people who have no concept of how the internet works, how apps and servers works. Maybe you want to hit my head on a fucking wall. Yeah, it's complex. If people act like as well, just press the switch over button and it'll be fine. Like, yeah, no, they're telling you we have data servers with no power. That means that the app is going to be fucked for a while. Right. And they just, they're like, well, it's clear. They're reformulating the algorithm. They're banning all of the left wing creators. They're demonetizing all of them. And it's like, how about we wait 48 hours to win the app all the way comes back online and then you make your claims. You check to make sure it was plugged in. Yeah, it's just turned it on and turn it off. It's supposed to be the smart ones. Come on. I mean, I think the only problem with the eye on just you're right. The only problem is they're seeing Instagram be fine, Facebook being fine. All these other people, right? But like, yeah, nobody else migrated. Right. But if you look at right, right. But if you look at right wing creators, they're having the same problem. Yeah. It's not a very political creators. You can't even watch a video of a fucking golden retriever that was posted today. And you're going to tell me that, oh, it must be, you know, they're cracking down. Come on. You have a little bit of common sense. Do you know how many old videos I missed? I missed so many old videos yesterday. Exactly. You probably didn't even see Christian Channel with. I unfortunately a lot of reasons I didn't see Christian. Yeah. And I want to be clear. I don't follow her. It's just magically. I think that's so much better time if you didn't say the part about you didn't even see it rich. That if you went who that'd been hilarious. I thought of it earlier. I was like, I'm going to read this in like Christian channel. Who? Who's my impression of a Broadway fan? Yeah. Well, guys, I guess we're going to do a shutdown then it looks like. Good. I'm excited. As long as they fucking stand up. Holy shit. If my question is not anything other than if they don't stick to it, what the fuck are we going to do? The people that fucked it up this time? Because last time we had, you know, what like six people on our shit list? What do you do now? Because it is back then it was like, all right, it was a little more nebula. I mean, it was healthcare, but it was a little less specific. This pretty fucking specific. What we want out of the street. If there's a couple people that break just like last time, what the fuck should happen to them? That's what I want. Not like do we. Do we like do we try to break? Right. Do we try Mariam? Do like what the fuck do you do? I mean, how do we word letters? Right. Like there's got to be no consequences. Yeah. It's done every time. I mean, I've not opposed to a primary for anybody who breaks. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, again, we have to see what the situation is right. Yeah. There's like unprecedented news every single day. So like I reserve the right to go back on that. But for the most part, no, fuck them. Like if you're if you if you can't stand tall and say, I don't want federal agents murdering American citizens in the streets while they're wearing masks, you shouldn't be a United States senator. Yes. Yeah. That's it. I'm willing to I'm willing to go out on a limb and take that hot take with you, Tim. Okay. All right. You got. Yeah. I'll stand on that one. Yeah. Think about that one for a little bit. You two and Thomas Jefferson. Yeah. Yeah. It's weird. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You know, the the the thing that's like the little insider baseball, I guess, but I had scripted a video about how we were not going to forget about Liam Ramos. And I, you know, shoot this video and I post the video and I'm like, okay, I felt like I said, what needed to be said, I think people are going to hear this. They're going to feel it. It's like kind of what I'm looking forward to everything. 30 seconds later, you know, the the Alex Prede shit comes out. I saw that. And I was like, there's no way rich new. Yeah. No, yeah. And the fact that now, like it's like, oh, yeah, what was his name? Liam Ramos, the five-year-old who was abducted by ice like six days ago or whatever. At school. That's, you know, right. Well, in his driveway after they got home from school, right? Yeah. His brain and lungs screaming through the window before their teenage son comes home. That was that shit was traumatic. And for the family, for the country. And then we just go right into this and it's and then you're relying on these algorithms. You're relying on these feeds so that we can control the narrative because we are. And I don't mean we, but the people on the left are controlling the narrative right now. Trump is doing things, but the narrative and the polls and the public policy polls and everything that are reacting to what Trump is doing. They're 1,000% on our side. And so, you know, that's that's a really important piece of it. But it is just like, I don't know, quick reflection on how absolutely overwhelming it is to be traumatized this frequently, where you can't even feel something before something else happens. Right. Exactly. Well, that's by design. I mean, they didn't design to kill. It's kind of pretty. But the flood the zone mentality that they have talked about is exactly that. I mean, you're right. Like, that kid five years old in the blue jacket. We all saw the photos like, oh, damn, that was just last week, the spine. Little last week. And the administration lied about that too. Right. Oh, we saved him because he was abandoned by his father. Oh, really? In the fucking driveway? You can't be abandoned in your own yard. There's a dog in the house. Right. But I do think like, there is, while you're right, I do think like they are, they are having one bad do cycle after the other because they are doing bad shit. That we all said what do. And this is fascist. Shit. Yes, that they're doing all of this. Like there, this is no longer a, you know, a theoretical. We are living in it. They are doing it. They are, are are impeding investigations. And they still are not. We, I talked to Keith Ellison last week, the attorney general for a Minnesota. It's like, has Department of DHS or the Trump administration contacted you or the Hennepin Pat County district attorney's office? No, no, it's the federal government investigating the federal government. It's like if you committed a murder, you're like, I'll investigate. Don't worry about it. Like is it? No, it's like, oh, oh, Jay, finding the real killer. Right. Yeah. It's insane. I am. That's the kind of shit where like, I don't know how any sane Republican could look at that and go, I'm still with it. Like, it's, right. This point you're no longer sane. Like you use the same label. I heard Rick Wilson, who I am not a fan of, who was on with somebody last week. And they asked him about that. And for those you don't know, he's a well-known Republican strategist. Has been a Republican strategist for a long time. And then he went and founded the Lincoln project. Someone asked him, why is no one standing up? And he's, he's honest to God answer, which I actually believe is they all, all of the members of Congress and, and senators and governors on the Republican side, if they are to buck Trump, they're worried about being killed. Jesus. That's their worry. Or, or threats of violence or, you know, like, you know, we heard from Stormy Daniels last week, like her mailbox got blown up. Someone shot her horse with a rubber bullet. Right. And then you imagine them going, if a Republican turns, turns on them, like their, their vitriol is going to be even worse. So like, he mean like the Trump administration would kill him or the other people like, sorry, the fans, the fans. That's the problem when you lie down with dogs, you wake up with fleas. Yeah. And you lie down with a big fucking orange dog. Yeah. And he's been laying down with him as he's done terrible, terrible things and his buddies and his fucking fans have done terrible things. And now you're now you're expecting like some sympathy for that. Fuck off. Because you're worried. Eat a bag of dicks. Oh, I don't know. To be clear, I do not like, I do not give them any pass on this. No, like if you are an elected official, it is your responsibility to stand up when you see things are wrong and they don't do it. Susan Collins is one of the worst defenders of this, right? Like this so-called moderate and main. What the fuck is she said about this? Oh, deeply concerned. You know, you're giving me PTSD. Mouth of marbles and bullshit. Because she. She doesn't actually disagree with any of this stuff. She just has a, has played this game. And that is exactly why ice went to Maine, right? Like, Maine, my home state, we haven't even talked about this because frankly, like, there's been so much other ship. But they said there are a roughly 1500, I think, undocumented immigrants in Maine and they they were like looking to capture like a hundred of them. And when they captured a hundred of them, six of them had criminal records. 94 of them did not. So what the fuck are they doing except going there to try to help Susan Collins beef up her case to win another term? Right. And like, I mean, it's just, it's just awful. And I'm from Maine. And it's like illegal immigrants in Maine. Like, what the fuck? Like, yes, there are some. No, there's not a problem. Like this is, if you had, if you were really worried about it, you go to Texas or Florida. Right. It's just, yeah. I mean, it's, and you can tell like this is going to be like dobs on steroids for Republicans in the midterms. And I think that's why you're seeing Trump sort of back off to a certain degree as well. Because it's like, they're going to lose all their power. Because I think what's happening right now with mag is just getting too real for them. Like they were really into this like sort of meme presidency that they had for a super fucking long time. And all of a sudden it's like, oh, this isn't funny anymore. Like even us are certain to see it's not funny anymore. It's like, yeah, it hasn't been funny this whole fucking time. And now you're giving your finding out. And it's just I think, yeah, it's rolling that in there. Good one there. Yeah. Are you suggesting that they fucked around? I am. And I'm suggesting that they're very much finding out. We're all finding out unfortunately. I mean, I, I remember like a, I don't know, a year ago, ish. I'm, Trump was talking about how he was going to do all of these things only to blue states. Right. You know, and, and only to, it's like, they really believe that the war that Trump is waging on justice and on the economy and on, I mean, on everything is something that can be separated politically. And that's like we could have all explained this to them, you know, 30 years ago that that's not how the economy works. It's not how justice works. But they were convinced that they could stay insulated from it as long as they voted for the right person or they like posted the right thing on X or whatever. Sorry, Twitter. It's, it's not the case. And, and now it's colliding. And they're going, oh, I see myself in these consequences. Oh, really? Well, I think that was happening. I think the gun owner thing is a real problem for them. Oh, huge. Because it, I mean, I can't even believe like as someone who works at every town for gun safety, I'm like, mildly, mildly, Luke, I'm not saying fully mildly applauded them for the NRA for actually, like saying, no, you can walk up to a law enforcement officer while you were carrying and not be, like justified, obli-murdered over and less you pull the gun. That's different. Different. But, you know, I think, I think, and I think some of them are really, I mean, if you want to follow my Facebook page, you get some real entertainment. But like, they're, you know, I posted a few videos about like, how are you okay with Kyle Rittenhouse? And you're not without spreading. Like, just explain it to me. Impossible. They can't, they can't even, there's not even a thing they can make up. I have to think it will make some of them, not the majority, but some of them pause and go, hey, are we? Are we the bad guys? Are we the bad guys? Yeah. Are we idiots? Yes, yes, yes. Yes, you are. No, I mean, that's kind of what I was hoping would happen with the, with the economy. I was really hoping that would be the case and not this shit, because this is like, yeah, I mean, I guess the economy is human life to stake, but not this violently, you know, it's not as direct. No, no, no, it's more over time. But like, I think I mean, you're going to get both to be honest. You know, everybody's going to get fucked in some way, shape, or form, whether or not it's you, because you have direct consequences. Asshole. That's true. Hey, I borrowed it. All right. I just steal it. It's, it's for the whole find out. Luke, were you the first person to ever to say good? I don't know, but I had the pride of somebody's of a black woman making a video not too long ago where she said, there's this white boy on here that says, get fucked. And she tagged me. I was like, that is the greatest fucking, like, honor I've ever had. She's like, you curse so well. Oh, where you go? You do, you do curse well. You do. It's good seasoning words. That's true. It's very well weaponized. I like it. I use it for good. You do. You do. Luke, I'm going to put you on a spot. Okay. Well, I think it's obvious. Do you have a good fucked? Oh my god. Get fucked. Really. That's pretty easy. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Some day I will actually tell you that you we're going to ask you this every week so you can prepare. It would be nice as we become a big boy podcast, but we're clearly not. That's something we're going to do. I think I'm a big boy podcast. Yeah. I want to stay young. Well, everybody's going to grow up. Zach. That's true. We are that we do have lots of big plans coming up, which we can't talk about right now. And we can't we were talking about one earlier today that is making me a little nervous because he better work, but it'd be really awesome if we pull it off. So I'm not going to say it yet. This is this is what we call a tease. There are big plans coming in February by friends. So many things. But you know what you could do in the in the interim. That's pretty good. You like that? You're pretty good. You can pick up a find out podcast shirt to show your support. I'm going to start wearing these to the I never ever. I'm I work on my house all the time. And then I come to record and I'm not and never wearing only one wearing them today. Richard, you're usually pretty good. That's true. Zach, Luke, you wear them sometimes. Yeah. I got different stuff on today. We know I find out boxers. I know. We had no right. Right. Right about the fly. It just says find out. I think we need to make that happen. I think you I think you probably might have somebody might have created a fake find out site and sold you on that one. But it's not the worst. It's really I've heard way worse ideas. Well, I hate to break it to you guys. But we don't have boxers or briefs or any any undergarments real quick real quick boxers or briefs. Boxer briefs. Boxer. Boxer. Boxer, every exact one we can all be. Yeah, yeah, yeah, uh, uh, nothing like, uh, Borat war, like his suit, like, uh, uh, I don't want to say that any of it, uh, uh, heard with the butt flap or something. I mean, it wasn't even it was straight bikini in the back. It's one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen in my entire body. We don't have any of of those either. I guess we could get a black one though, right? Like some ass chaps or yellow. His is yellow. So that fits our brand. But we actually do want you to buy some stuff that I think you'd like to wear. Like this t-shirt. We have mugs, stickers mugs, hoodies, hoodies, hoodies. hoodies. Yep. Oh, Luke, how could people feed people by if you buy a get fuck for charity merch? You feed a hundred people any piece of it. Love that. That's right. And you know, you can get that get this stuff guys. And then find out podcast.com store at finduppodcast.com. You said it wrong so many times. I don't even know if you said it right this time. I don't know what any of our web ads are. That was right. Find out podcast.com. Yeah. The other way that you could support us right now. Actually, there's two ways. I'm going to give you a freebie one and then a paid one. The freebie one is to go follow us on YouTube because YouTube is probably the most important channel for for our growth and getting out in front of new people. So if that's just at find out podcast, then if you want to become a member, you can go to find out podcast.substac.com. Nailed it. Oh, I slowed it down. When I rush, when I rush, I fuck it all up. I fuck it all. Yeah, I'm in my head. I'm like, is this right? Well, it's like last week. I told everybody I'm terrible at introducing people and I introduced someone in our room by the wrong name that I've known for a long time. So I, the pressure with the pressure is on. I screw up. But you can't go to find out podcast.substac.com and get a six dollar membership. And that would help us a lot too. So with that guys, I think we're going to end it. I don't know if we have a guest on Thursday. I think we got to work on the. Do we have a guest? Maybe we talked about it. Maybe. Maybe. Also, don't forget we have our live show every Wednesday night. So when you listen to this, it'll be tomorrow night at 845, which YouTube's probably the best, but you can get it on YouTube and Facebook at least. We have to upgrade our account so we can actually connect more accounts, which I have not done that yet. But this is what I talk about us being a big boy podcast. But you get sports. The lives are a little more casual, bring a little drink. You know, you can just stream us on your TV and just watch us probably make fun of each other the entire time or listen to a guest before we have to cut them off and send them on their way, which I have done before too. Oh, I don't know who you'd be talking about. We're not we're not we're not talking about any of them with names. He's not. They're not listening at the end. You just fucked up. I'm so dead. I'm so dead. I'm so dead. Anyways, guys, thank you very much. I know it has been a very difficult week or well, year in this country. We're so glad you're with us. We aren't going anywhere. In fact, more and more stuff's coming. So stay tuned. We'll be back on Thursday until then. Have a great day.
