Three things you'd probably never put together if you could guess, but DJing, taxes, and manifestation. It's crazy how I mixed both together, because when I was out at events, I would promote that I do taxes, and I started getting a lot of people in the industry to do their taxes. When my tax clients, I would tell them I DJ, and then when I do events, I'd have tax clients come to my DJ event. Charlie Sacco was a resilient, growth-driven entrepreneur and the founder of Sacco Tax Accounting, LLC. Drawing from his journey of overcoming personal loss and rebuilding his life, he empowers individuals to maximize their wealth, shift their mindset, and pursue purpose-driven success with clarity and confidence. I noticed a whole life change when I started believing manifestation is real, and I started doing things small, and I got bigger and bigger, and then I said, I'm going to make $100,000 that year. I didn't make $100,000 doing taxes, I made $99,700, right almost there. So if I just believe a million dollars will appear, how's a million dollars going to show up? How would you answer that? I would say that it's not just going to show up, you have to take action. It spans the globe like a super high is cold, into the eldest, ready to fight for fear. Today, Apple is going to reinvent the clock. It's not over until I win! The Living Your Legacy podcast for those who live to leave a legacy. That's extraordinary! The impossible! Oh, that is sensational! Jordan! Open! Chicago with the lead! You said Paul is the fastest man on the planet. You can live your dream! Hello, and welcome back to another episode of Legacy Makers. Joining me today is Charlie, and he has a trio of things going on. Three things you'd probably never put together if you could guess, but DJing, taxes and manifestation, right? Three totally different subject areas that he's passionate about. He helps small business owners and entrepreneurs with their taxes, and he DJs for fun and also professionally, so welcome to the show. Thank you. So where do you want to start? I'd love to just hear, maybe give everyone an overview, obviously I know what you do, but a bit of an overview of the tax side, the DJ side, and then also something that's close to your heart, the manifestation motivation side. Yes, so I started doing taxes probably in 1989. I worked part-time for a tax accountant. At the same time, I got my job at DHL, which I got my degree in computer programming, and the tax business is always like a side thing. And over the years, it was building more and more, and I always had a passion for music, and probably back in 2011, I started messing around DJing for fun. But when everything really took off, in 2017, when I went to Burning Man for the first time, I kind of changed my life. I seen a whole other side of things, and the spiritual side, and I got into meditation, and then I started studying manifestation, lower attraction. I started following two of my mentors, which was Dr. Joe Dispenzer and Master Shri Akshran, and I've been on some of their retreats, and I've really got into that more and more, and I noticed a whole life change. When I started believing manifestation is real, I started doing things small, I got bigger and bigger, and then basically in 2020, I was manifesting that the tax business is going to be my main source of income over my main job at DHL, and I did that. I said I'm going to make $100,000 that year. I didn't make $100,000 doing taxes. I made $99,700, right almost there. And it led me to move to Florida. I lived in New York my whole life. Now I have a beautiful dream penthouse condo, which I manifested. I paid cash for. I quit my job at DHL in December. Just blowing up my tax business. The DJ career is actually getting bigger and bigger. For the show, I actually was going through the B-roll, and I started just pulling out, almost like all the DJ flyers of places I DJed, and I didn't realize until I pulled them onto a folder, I have about 50 different flyers of venues I have done over the years. And I want to get into producing now and more of the coaching, because I've got so many of my friends into meditation at Never in a Million Years would have done this. So let me ask you then, you're a tax expert. You love manifestation. Can I manifest paying zero taxes? It's possible. I do my best. And I have a lot of my clients that they came to me the first time and they owed money. And after me, I got them back a refund. And then within a few years, I'm not only doing them, their friends, their family, members, everyone. I mean, I take that like also that's a passion, because I want to help people and maximize. And if you don't know what you're doing, the tax laws is so not in favor of the average person. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's very complex. Yeah. And I know how to, I'll do every tax turns as my own. And I'll spend hours to just to try and figure out, oh, maybe I could do this. So maybe I could do that. Yeah. Yeah. And you know, obviously I'm joking with that question, but taxes are a thing that we all have to face, right? And most of us have to pay. And but there are a lot of advanced legal ways to lower your taxable income if you understand the tax code, right? Which is what the IRS puts that puts it out for you to understand it. So let's start there and we can go into the manifestation side. If someone's listening, they're an entrepreneur, they're probably paying taxes, you know. So what are some general advice, like mistakes or tips that they can use to start improving their tax situation? If you have a small business, first of all, one of the best things to do, it depends on what you're making is if you have, lots of people start with like even getting an LLC is, if it's a small business and you're making a decent amount of money, you want them transfer that business LLC into an escort. Because with an escort, you could do a lot more savings, a lot more expenses. And it funnels into your personal taxes, but it is one of the best things to do if you have a small business. Yeah. And I did that many years ago and it's just a form. Yeah. It's just a 2553 you fill out to have a transfer. Yep. And what are some of just given free examples of how that helps as an escort tax? So as a escort doesn't, you don't pay taxes on escort. Yeah. So basically. It's a flow through. It's a flow through. And you want to keep that separate. So you open up a separate business account, have a business credit card. Yes. And you could, there's a lot more deductions that you can legally claim on an escort. And also on an escort, depending on if you have employees or if you don't have employees, you'll W to yourself some of the income. But a lot of it you could put on what's called a K1, which is on investment income and you'll what's called self employment tax. You should put a 12.9% tax. Yep. Yep. That's a good tip. What else do you see as common mistakes or issues with tax, you know, with entrepreneurs and taxes and small businesses? Yeah. Yeah. That's one of the main things and people just not keeping proper records because when you're doing the expenses, you should really have a P and L profit loss, a balance sheet and a lot of people intermingle their personal, their business stuff. And you don't have to send the receipts. You don't have to send the stuff when you do taxes, but they look at a lot more. And if you get a audit, which could be a paper audit, they want to see where these expenses income came from. And you don't have it. Now, say you made $100,000 and you have $50,000 in expenses, and then they want to see where where those expenses came from. You don't have it logged, right? You don't have it, right? They override it and now you're paying taxes on $100,000. Plus the penalty. Plus the penalty and the interest. Yeah. When maybe you really did have the correct expenses, but you don't have proof of it. Yeah. Yeah. So keeping receipts and voices, linking them in QuickBooks or whatever you use to the transaction. Right. Yes. Yep. Good. What else in terms of other tips? You know, I have been audited. I've had an IRS audit and I didn't pay any penalties, but you learn a lot through that process too about itemization and record keeping. And I think most entrepreneurs do a very bad job of that. Like all the contractor, you know, all those employment docs and voices. So any other tips around record keeping? Well, especially if you have employees, you want to make sure like a lot of people know they have to have work in their camp and stuff like that. And on payroll, keeping correct records on that. On contracts. And contracts. A lot of entrepreneurs start with all contracts. Yeah, with contracts. And then they don't have the form filled out. They don't have the form filled out for contracts. They have the form filled out for 1099s. 1099s. And 1096, they have to send to the IRS for that. So that's another thing. And again, if... And when we got audited, we had to provide every single, you know, we had hundreds of contracts. Luckily we had most of them. There was a few we didn't have, but yeah. And again, if you could submit everything and if you might go through fine, but you don't want to take that chance of them, you'd be the one that could be a random order just picked by a computer. Yeah. Not even when you did anything wrong. And then... Well, I got audited because I had spent too much on advertising. Yeah. Because I spent so much on Facebook ads. I got flagged in the system because I had spent millions and millions of dollars on advertising. And it could be random. And it doesn't matter like some people, oh, if I make a little bit of money, it doesn't matter. Yeah. Because I've had a client that made a considerate amount of money and had a lot of expenses. Never expended anything. And then another client who had 1099, I think it was only for like a little under 20,000 and had like 5,000 expenses. And they ordered them want to see every receipt on that. So it's like there's no rhyme or reason behind it sometimes. It's like the secure at the back, you know, when you get your bags at the airport, they pull a few of the bags to the side, right? It's totally random. Yeah. Good. So let's talk about, there's a bit about taxes. Let's, you know, a fascinating topic, the mind, manifestation, right? And it's, I think it's kind of strange for someone in taxes, which is so like analytical data, like this is what it says versus manifestation is literally the opposite. Whatever you can imagine. Yes. And it's crazy. Before 2017, that was me. Yeah. Yeah. I was totally didn't believe any of that. One of my good friends was always like about meditation and this and I'm like, I will stuff that's all garbage. I never, I never believed in it. Yeah. Yeah. I used to be more like that too. So I was a data scientist. Yeah. So I was similar and like, I want to see it written down, you know, in a study or whatever. Right. Like I said, we're going to talk with a Bernie man and I had some experiences there. And I was like, now I started second guessing. I'm like, there's more to this world than there's this three dimensional reality. So let's just start if someone's listening and they don't understand it or believe in it, explain what is manifestation. Manifestation is, I believe that your thoughts create a reality. Yeah. So manifestation is you'll visualize something that you want in your future and you manifest it into reality. You cannot do that with your analytical mind. So the best way of doing that is you want to meditate where you're emptying out everything from the analytical mind and you're basically in your subconscious where you're not thinking of anything. You're almost in like this, what's called the theta, theta brain waves. They is all frequencies. And then you could reprogram your brain and visualize your future. And I've done this over and over and you have to believe in it. And I started small when I watched The Secret and there was one thing that caught me. This one person was like, I started small by manifesting parking spots. And I said, let me try this one day. And I used to go to the city and clubs and everything and me, my friend, we're driving a separate car to Brooklyn is never spots. And the whole way I'm manifesting two spots, like visualizing exactly where on the block of the club. And we're coming around the block and my friend went to park two blocks away and I called him just follow me and he's like, why this is a good spot. I'm like, follow me. You come down the block, literally the only two spots in the whole block were two spots together next to each other. That was a start for you. Yeah, that was a start. But now I have to prove it once as a coincidence. Yeah, because you're over and over. And then started doing bigger things and then more you do it the more you believe. But it's not a matter of like, you're going to close your eyes, meditate, and manifest these things when it gets bigger. You also have to take action and prepare to take the action because the universe could drop what you want right in front of your face. But if you're not taking action, it'll just pass you by. So let me follow up. Someone's listening and I had someone ask me this when I talked about it one day. They said, so if I just believe a million dollars will appear, is a million, how's a million dollars going to show up? How would you answer that? I would say that's not just going to show up. You have to take action. And I'll tell you one of the latest things I did was the biggest is how I met one. If I moved down here from New York and how I manifested, I had my house in New York. I was trying to sell for like seven months and I was looking for houses down here. I never thought I would get a condo because I like get houses. And then I seen from Dr. Joe D'Spenzi put up a video on this called 369 Manifestions Takes Neek, which it's basically you would in the morning, you would say in your mind what you wanted to manifest. And I was like, okay, I'm going to manifest. I get my dream house and pay cash for it. Then you would close your eyes, do a little meditation and visualize that. Then you would write that down three times in the morning, six times in the afternoon, nine times at night. 18, so 18 times. And then the next morning you're going to do the same exact thing, but you're going to add you're going to take some action to make that goal happen. So I did this the first day. I'm going to manifest my dream house and pay cash for it. Now my reel to the next day, I was looking online, looking online. I found, oh, good price on a condo. It seems really, really good price for it. And I had my reel to set it up this week to look at three places. So I did that whole thing the second day. And then we looked at it and she set me up for three places. We looked at a house. I didn't really like it. We looked at a townhouse. Oh, that's pretty nice. And then we looked at this penthouse condo. I walk in, I'm like, whoa, I think this might be the place. Five days later, I was in contract. I sold my house one month later and I paid cash for this. And I was looking for eight months within five days if I did that. Well, even if you take manifestation out, that exercise is good because it gives you focus. Even if manifestation wasn't true, let's pretend, that exercise alone makes you hyper-focused on your goal, which we all know is going to achieve more. And it's also pre-programming of reign. So now you're putting, you're making these new synaptic connections within your subconscious. Now your subconscious is now at that goal. Yeah, yeah. And then a big part of manifestation, I'm not a manifestation expert, but a big part of it at its core is, which I teach not about manifestation, about achieving your goals is, if you don't believe something's possible, it's never going to happen. This is irrelevant. So the first step to achieving any goal, which is kind of manifestation, is you've got to at least believe and understand and accept that you can achieve it. And that's kind of like the whole red car fear or yellow car fear. If you think about red cars, you'll start seeing red cars on the road. And that's part of manifestation at its core, which helps apart from all the other magic and brain stuff is the focus and the attention to it. And I think that's so undervalued, just being hyper-focused on what you want. And that's how I responded to the million dollar thing. When someone asked me, I said, look, I'm not a manifestation expert, but what I can tell you is if you don't think you'll ever make a million dollars, you'll never make a million dollars. Whereas if you believe you'll make a million dollars, you'll start figuring out ways to make a million dollars. Right? And I think that in itself is so important too. Yes, 100%. So last question, DJing side. Tell us about the DJ side. Well, it's so. Because again, you've gone from accounting numbers to creatives. Yes. You know? So I always love music. I go out, always going to clubs, always out of my group, I'd be the ones to get everybody in the clubs. We got P, this, that. And I just had this way about my friend, my friend, Sal used to say I had to do the Jedi mind trick to get what I want all the time. And then one day we used to get, I used to get Hampton houses. I used to run Hampton houses for the summer, like the whole summer, 25 people in the houses throw parties. And then I used to have other DJs come to the house as a DJ. And then one day I just started messing around. I think it was like 2010 with the music. And someone was like, oh, that's pretty good. And I just started doing it on my own. Yeah, yeah. And then it's crazy how I mixed both together. Because when I was out at events, I would promote that I do taxes. And I started getting a lot of people in the industry to do their taxes. Well, New York's a great place for that, right? Yeah. And then when my tax clients, I would tell them I DJ. And then when I do events, I'd have tax clients come to my DJ event. So I actually really started merging it together. And then when I moved down here, I said I've always wanted to do this. And I always had two different cards. And I have a card one up right here. And I finally did it this year. I actually took my business cards, which is Sackle Tax Accounting on one side. And you flip it over. And it's my DJ business on the other side. And people thought it was crazy, but it works. I merged two opposite, completely things that you never think together. Well, I think that is the beauty of entrepreneurship in the modern times. Because 25 years ago, no one hired you as an accountant if you got DJ on the other side. But now I think the world is more open to these pursuits of goals and dreams and doing what you want to do in life. Right? Like, I think that's, you know, I always say I'm an entrepreneur, but I'm a big kid at heart. I want to make things fun. And my office is fun and everything we do. And how we advertise and create content. So I love that. Good. So last question. People want to hire you to DJ, hire you to do their taxes, or learn more manifestation from you. Where do they go to find you? Okay. So on my tax business, I have my website, SackleTaxAccounting.com. I'm also have my business account on Google for the taxes. DJing is my Instagram. I have DJ underscore Sackle. And I also have on Facebook my regular, my regular personal page. And then I have my DJ Sackle page. And I have also on Facebook my tax accounting page. And I also have my SoundCloud for DJing, which is DJ Charlie Sackle. And there are my sets and some music, some remixes. Good. Love it. Well, there you go, guys. Check him out. All some business that he's doing and having a lot of fun along the way. And obviously go follow for the manifestations of super powerful stuff if you're not doing it already. A lot of big entrepreneurs have it all in common. And they also probably pay taxes. So they have a good tax people to help them too. And one more thing, which I want to get more into coaching with the manifestation. I also have a page on Facebook. It's called, it's my coaching page too. Great. Well, sometimes right now I'm just putting on different like meditations and stuff through my mentors. Good. Well, we'll throw it all in the show notes. And as always, follow your dreams. I hope that today's episode inspired you to do that and have some fun along the way and make it your own. Right. That's a great takeaway from today's episode. So work hard, have an impact, and I'll see you guys soon. Take care.
