Kelly victim Roshanna Lanfair about her new memoir detailing grooming and family involvement in her abuse.

- Media outlets show inconsistent coverage of important victim testimonies, potentially due to audience fatigue with recurring narratives
- Double albums in hip-hop continue to be problematic for listener engagement despite artistic ambition

I am calling three Evolve tapings today in Stanford. Wait, what's Evolve again? Evolve is my wrestling show on Tubi that I'm the commentator for. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. Got it. So, yeah, I got to hit that. Evolve is a show on Tubi. And Evolve exists without you as a regular show, and you just pop in sometimes. No. I'm one of the voices of the show every single week. Got it. Nice. Well, there you go. He's on his way to do that. where do you gotta go to do that? Stanford. Connecticut. All right, man, be safe on these roads. I gotta go to Merca. I gotta go to Merca for that. Merca. Listen, we got a lot to cover today on this here Ebro, Laura Rosenberg show. You said the super chats were ringing off early, right? Rosenberg. Oh, Joe, bro. The show does something for my spirit that's hard to put into words. Wow. Grateful for every moment. P.S. Rosenberg, do I get eye contact? Ayo. That was crazy. That was crazy. Now, look what Griff did. But Rosenberg will give top to a mic. You know what I'm saying? He'll throw the cho for the show. I can't. How about Moreno the Man? Our boyfriend came through already and said, the lateness is getting out of hand, LMFAO. No, listen, I'm with you, Moreno, because we've been sitting here since 5 before the hour, and the amount of tinkering and things that still have to happen is dramatic. We're tinkering up a storm. We have CL Audio came through with another 100. No, this is bribery now. Wow, thank you. He said props for PR. mom in Guatemala 20 year Air Force vet born and raised in Pacific Northwest I F with y'all because of the morals and values two for two on the merch drops and and Patreon money oh and Patreon money well spent good looking out my guy that is awesome that's dope now Laura speaking of merch we do have some people in the Patreon chat we need to address I sent Laura a screenshot out of someone claiming they had not received their merch. Laura, as the merch manager, would like to say what to the people who are claiming they have not received their merch. It's on the way. That's it. No, listen, everything should be all set. You guys should be good to go. Today I'm going to go finally. Like some of y'all, you know, made last minute changes. Come on, son. You can't put in an order and then after the order's already in, change the size of your shirt or change the address after the order's already in. It's going to slow things down. So I just got to deal with a few. Not a lot. It was not a lot. Only a few of those. But everyone should be Gucci now. And if you are a Patreon member, what surprise did you get yesterday, Laura, on the merch? Yo, it's official. Our second shirt is officially out. Okay. Y'all can get it. No, it's out for sale. We got plans. It's actually, I love the shirt. So I'm very excited about it. So it's officially on the website, IbraLauraRosenbergShow.com. for sale there it is so that's just one of this morning how did our guy come through ebro same day same day that we dropped when we got plans how do we see maybe the illest design we've seen so far coming down the pike from my man chase yeah exact shout to chase on the graphics that'll be for the next merch drop in about 30 days we we're not gonna be hitting y'all with too many merch jobs y'all spending a lot of money on this program you know i mean we gotta pace ourselves it's only february yo some of y'all gonna be looking at your credit card come july like yo i can't mess with the ELR show. It's out of hand. Now, the big stories. Rosenberg is in a tizzy, and I think Laura Stiles has kind of wound up, too, this Pam Bondi Attorney General thing yesterday that's taken over the timeline. Rosenberg, how'd you feel when you saw it? Yeah, I waited. It was a busy day yesterday, and I didn't get to anything until, like, 10 o'clock at night. And I sat down. I said, let me just see some highlights of this. And then I was like, why did I do this before bed? Because I want to fight. No, I want to have a fist fight. I know. This is the least serious thing that is so deadly serious, and yet it is the least serious thing you will ever see. The fact that you could even be anyone who could come away defending what you saw, the embarrassment that that was our Attorney General, the way that she treated that situation, I have absolutely no words for it. It was disgusting. These are not serious people is all I can say. No, she's a bozo. She's incompetent. She has no soul. Like there was the part Rosenberg, I don't know if you saw when they had giant photos of all the people that had been murdered by ice and they were going through them one by one by name. She wouldn't even look up and give anyone eye contact. She was just kind of like her little binder, like just did not care. Laura, she's the attorney general. And this this is about law. This is about victims. This is real stuff. and she treated the entire thing as an opportunity to be a cheerleader for Donald Trump. She was just, why do you come after Donald Trump? You need to apologize to Donald Trump. Oh no, we got audio, we got video. We got video and audio. We're in the future here. We could do both at the same damn time. Let's do it. Rasaan, which clip you got first? The compilation? Let's run it. All right. This guy has Trump derangement syndrome. He needs to get, you're a failed politician. Not a complicated question. Well, I guess it is for you because you have a law degree and those are privileged. Do you even know who Chase Mulligan is? You're so obsessed. You don't, do you? I'm going to teach you the rules again. Have you apologized to President Trump? Have you apologized to President Trump, all of you who participated in those impeachment hearings against Donald Trump? Nothing about helping crime in her district. She's not even worth getting into the details. You indicted. Excuse me. I'm going to answer the question. Answer my question. No, I'm going to answer the question the way I want to answer the question. And I told you about that, Attorney General, before you started. You don't tell me anything. Oh, I did tell you, sister. You don't give her a claim time when you don't... When I don't answer her question the way you want. This goes over. Only two people voted against it, and you were one of them, hypocrite. But we're going to move back to you. I bet we are. Yes, of course, because you're here to testify. The whole thing is given a grown-up version of Regina George from Mean Girls. You know who I'm talking about. Now, first of all, Jen Psaki. She used to work for a lot of news. I'm tight that we only heard from her and we didn't get to hear any of the responses, although it is just frustrating to hear the responses. Well, the problem with watching the questions and her responses is it just infuriates you more because she's not answering the questions. She's distracting. This is political theater. This was to take over the news cycle so that we're now talking about her and not talking about the actual Epstein files. That's what every attempt they are making in public right now is to distract from the fact that yesterday it was confirmed that Donald Trump's name is in the Epstein files over a million times. No one is mentioned more than Donald Trump. The only person mentioned more than Donald Trump in the Epstein files, I think, is Jeffrey Epstein. That's crazy. He's the co-star, you're saying. Yes. It's unbelievable. And so we're going to watch this. And by the way, this is going to drag on. It's going to drag on the end. And the way the government is set up, the only way you actually get traction on any of this is after the midterms. So that you can have people in the House of Representatives. You can have people in the Senate who are actually going to hold these people accountable because you need Congress to actually hold the executive branch accountable. because you don't have the judiciary branch. And the judiciary branch, Supreme Court, is not going to lead the attack on the president. That has to come from Congress, I believe. So we're just going to watch this play. What month is it? February? Yep. When's November? When is that? Eight months? Six, 12? How do years work? I don't know. Seven months, something like that. Seven months. That's what we're going to, we're about to watch this for seven months. In the meantime, you know, they're strangling Cuba right now. Cuba runs out of power in five days. So they have no oil. They're not any country that sends oil to Cuba or any support to Cuba right now. We'll get a some sort of terror for economic embargo. That's according to Donald Trump. But Scheinbaum, the president of Mexico, has said, F all that. We will come to Cuba's aid. this is not okay what's happening so you have that about to play out yeah wow didn't even know that so um and remember uh what's his name marco rubio this is his little wet dream to strangle cuba of course of course you know what i mean because america has had a a wild hair up its ass about cuba ever since cuba started working with you know communists in russia because of course America put an economic embargo on him. And obviously, Fidel Castro was down there murdering American sympathizers, which is wild. And then they tried. You guys know the whole story. Everybody knows the whole story. But yeah, that's still playing itself out. So yeah, it's a crazy time. Very interesting time. But Cardi B's on tour. Ah, she is. Getting political at her tour. Laura, you're covering that in the rundown? I have it in the rundown. I'm very proud of her. And I'm very excited. And she looks fantastic. She has been like, I've been following her IG story, so she's been practicing. She's been, you know. Yeah, the rehearsals is going crazy. Getting everything in order, so it's really dope to see her finally, you know, hit the stage and get it popping. Is everybody clear? By the way, bro, she doesn't look like she was too emotionally affected by her breakup of three days ago. She seems okay. She's getting that money, Rosenberg. She's not stressed. um yeah i mean was the relationship really that deep she knew it was chaotic from the beginning i think i mean listen they had a kid together it's kind of crazy but um yeah i guess it wasn't that deep they broke up during the super bowl it's it's a pretty insane story though my man brought a new girl to the super bowl well but you're missing a piece of this chapter with stefan diggs and cardi b he had multiple children at the same time crazy so to act like she thought that this was the ideal scenario. Right. I don't know if that's the case. At all. You know, the fact of the matter is, more kids this year than receptions at the Super Bowl, we've literally never seen anything like this before. Nah, listen, bro. Oh, God. That's it. Yo, say that line again. I need to hear it. More. Stephon Diggs had more kids this year than he had receptions at the Super Bowl. Congratulations. You played yourself. That's not promising for your bank account or your future. And the – I don't think he's a – I don't know much about Stephon. I hope things go well for him. He also had a moment, Ebro, that's not what you want. When they were getting absolutely trounced, he had like a 25-yard catch and accidentally had a habit, turned and spun the ball like he just did something. When they were getting crushed in the Super Bowl, it was such a bad joke. You played yourself. What are you celebrating, sir? That's not what you want. What are you celebrating, sir? Maybe he found out he had another kid coming. We don't know. Why do people care what Gene Simmons from Kiss has to say about hip-hop being involved in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Someone please enlighten me. Why is that a headline and why is that a story? We have enough to be triggered about. We don't need that. I know. I know. It's ridiculous. And it pissed people off. What people got pissed about this? Griff. You know. Wait, Griff? Producer Griff? Yeah, Griff said he almost punched the screen. He did. Yo, Griff. Griff said he almost punched the screen. You played yourself. Yo, when you run down the list of people in hip-hop that are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, how Gene Simmons feels is useless. It's too late, sir. His quote, this is what really took Griff over the edge. It's not my music. I don't come from the ghetto. He said, I wanted to punch the screen. He's talking about hip-hop. The ghetto's crazy. Well, it sounds like a microaggression. It doesn't come from the ghetto. I got news for any of you rock and roll fans. Guess where rock and roll comes from? Black neighborhoods. The ghetto? Yeah. Poor black neighborhoods. He's trash. So, wholess. Congratulations. You played yourself. Now. You got a three-foot tongue, A.O. What'd you say? I said Gene Simmons show. You got a three-foot tongue, A.O. now laura um yesterday i saw that r kelly's victim was doing interviews ah yes yes yes yes and it was pointed out to me uh by somebody i work with at apple and she said and shout to sasha over there she said nobody's really covering this rosemary had did you see this interview had you known this what happened which interview now this is the young girl that is in the r kelly videotape is out now obviously she's older i saw that it moved yeah yeah her name is Roshanna Lanfair. Yeah. Yeah, and she has a book. She has a memoir that right now she's shopping around. Okay, so that's why she's talking. Yeah, it's called Who's Watching Shorty. I saw clips of this interview. It's disgusting, as you would have thought, but it's just like, you know, it's very much the same story. You know, parents were involved in, you know, they were high off the celebrity that is R. Kelly. Sparkle is her aunt, I believe. Who was an artist, signed R. Kelly. Yeah, she definitely was encouraging her to do things like sit on his lap and rub his head. Like, it's gross, bro. It's gross. And she really admits, like, being young and impressionable and, like, not really understanding and being groomed. As an adult now, she talks about looking back like she truly understands what she went through. So it's sad. So the other thing that was presented to me was that people are, like, not covering this story. Like it's not all over the blog. No, it's not. It's not. Why? Very, very few people are covering it. Why? I don't know. Part of me feels like people are just kind of like, and I hate to say it like this because it doesn't matter, but they look at it like, okay, R. Kelly, old news, we already know. And I think people are just kind of glossing over it. If you have kids in the car, trigger warning and all the things, we're going to play an excerpt from the conversation This was on CBS Mornings When I think about the amount of time that has passed based on how long you knew R Kelly I think so many people have wanted to hear from you for so long. How does it feel to not be Jane Doe anymore? It feels very rewarding. It feels very liberating. which was a part of the reason why I wanted to write this book, because I really wanted to live in my true skin and my true self. You say in the book, the next time we're at the studio, this is what you say, Sparkle said. You say your aunt told you the next time we're at the studio, you should ask Robert to be your godfather. Aunt Sparkle explained that I should sit on his lap and rub his head while I asked him to be my godfather. This instruction seems sort of weird since I hadn't sat on his lap before, but I didn't question it. When you think back, is that where it all begins? Is that the start? That is the start. That is the start of him entering into my life in a different way than just being an artist or hanging out at the studio. It became more personable at that moment. So when do things turn? And I know you go into great detail, the early stages and why this is so complicated, your mindset at that time. Well, during the time that I met him, I'm also a teenage girl who's going through puberty. And so some of the things that I was thinking or feeling were just normal expressions to, you know, my maturity level at the time. And so it starts very innocent. It starts, you know, being mesmerized and like you said, like admiring this person. And then, you know, it kind of gets a little deeper or more complicated when that person is able to, you know, see what you can't see, the way you're developing, you know, your conversation, your personality traits. So it kind of became more complicated when he started analyzing me and, you know, the things that I was going through and who I was becoming as a person. And again, I was excited and mesmerized to, you know, be under his wing and to be a part of his habitat. So that's how things kind of unfolded. so I still I'm not clear on why this isn't being I figured I would have seen this on my timeline maybe the Epstein stuff is taking up my timeline you know maybe Bad Bunny's taking it up but I didn't I went and looked at some of the blogs and I didn't see it right away no I didn't see it either are you guys out there in the chat have you guys seen this story because the other thing that was presented to me was that um uh people felt like outlets didn't want to cover it and to your point laura where it was like oh we've heard this story but we've never heard from her and why wouldn't you want to give her a platform i don't know i i don't know but i listen i just feel like that's the reason that blogs are not covering it because they feel like okay we've covered enough of this and it's sad because her story should be told but well i think there's also a component of at this point everybody knows how terrible he is and so you're like do we need to know more but to your point laura she should deserve to have she deserves to have her time as well in spite of the fact that we know how bad he was well and deeper than that i've heard the story about her aunt and I've heard the story about, you know, her being young and wanting to be an artist. Right. I didn't quite understand until right now how much it was her family that put her in that predicament. Yeah. Mom and dad. And aunt. And the encouragement. I didn't know that it was encouraged, according to her, to sit on his lap, to call R. Kelly her godfather, to rub his head and all. that that is yeah and by the way that's why i feel like this is very important because much of the abuse and uh sexual abuse that happens to people starts in family scenarios that's usually the case that's usually the case and and pay attention because she talks about how sparkle was the one who was encouraging her. And to me, listen, I think Sparkle is trash. We've heard this before, but it's like she basically knew that that is the way to get him to pay attention. So she encouraged her to do that, to take that route. I will tell you, these stories hit different. These stories definitely hit different as the father of a little girl now. It is to just even try to fathom a world in which family members would alley-oop basically children in their family to a predator because they're that thirsty and desperate to get an opportunity. Yes. Man. Yeah. No, it's heavy stuff. Yeah. It's heavy stuff. And I'm going to say it again. That's why I feel like this story needs to be covered. Especially right now. it's it's sad and you know i i she's telling her whole story in her book but i you know it's triggering for a lot of people because we've heard all of these stories before and it's like it's just sick bro it's sick and like every day i'm like yeah r.killy deserves to stay in jail forever at least that's how I feel what was the lady was it Boebert that you saw walking out of seeing the unredacted Epstein files yes she said similar about Ghislaine Maxwell yes who is now trying to leverage her the information she has on Donald Trump to get clemency but Rosenberg you said she walked out of there and was basically like she should be in a yes she should not be in a she's like a medium security prison yeah she's at one of those resort spots she needs a maximum security she needs a life sentence she needs what she saw but we know this I mean we know what Maxwell was doing this is another person who we are apt to think was a victim in some way or maybe you know wasn't as bad she she was Epstein and Jace yeah she was setting she knew it all she was setting it all up absolutely she was just as bad as he was like I don't see a world where I look at her as a victim I'm sorry she broke you turn Laura's mic up I'm told Laura's mic now he kept saying that she was one of the main you know recruiters you know setting things up she literally was just like Epstein. The more I see people who have actually like read details of the Epstein files, everybody says jail is not enough. Jail is not enough. When they really go into like the disgusting details of what people read, and I think that's what surprises people because yes, we know it's disgusting, right? We know there's sex trafficking. Rosenberg, but I think when people go and actually read details, I think that's what takes them over the edge because they don't really realize how sinister and dark it is. Well, some of it's hard to even conceive of. I mean, some of the stuff that I've gotten put onto from it this week, as bad as I always knew that it was. The the yo guys, I'm really on some I, you were talking about how like you used to be super conspiracy, then less now more. Yo, I'm really out of the JonBenet Ramsey was part of the Epstein files. I'm really on some it makes perfect sense when you think about it JonBenet Ramsey might have been the opening where they almost got caught because they went too far they stole a kid that was too visible like that's the vibe I get and you know there's that photo of Maxwell and JonBenet Ramsey in the same room that's enough for me that's enough to seal the deal for me that's enough when they say JonBenet Ramsey's father got paid off like you mean after or before after like stop looking yes i didn't even hear about this connection oh you haven't yeah there's a photo there's a photo of john bennett ramsey and you see gislay and maxwell like creeping out in the side of the photo is very weird and yo and y'all have seen the video moving around about the wayfair items yep Well, that was a conspiracy a few years ago where people were saying the Wayfair items on Wayfair were named after girls and had these ridiculous prices, which is a fact. I remember when that was moving around. A couch for $10,000 named, you know, and I'm making this up, but the couch is named Angela. No, literally, stuff exactly like that Or some sort of closet item That would normally cost $150 Is listed at $12,500 And has the name of a girl who just went missing It's, listen Everything's on the table With these MFers It really is all on the table What has to be? Also, we gotta take a moment, guys And say RIP to James Van Der Beek Yeah Now, why can't I picture this person? Oh, my God, Ebro. Guy from Dawson's Creek. I never watched Dawson's Creek. You can't picture Dawson from Dawson's Creek? I've never seen the show. I mean, I've seen the show. I wasn't a regular watcher, but I guess you were old. Google him, bro. I want to put up a picture. Yeah, there you go. James Van Der Beek. I've seen this guy before. Yeah. I didn't know that was him. Rest in peace, man. Yeah, man. Yo, colorectal. That's sad, man. He was young too, right? 48 years old. That's super young. Super young. Father of six, colorectal cancer, announced his diagnosis in 2024, stage three diagnosis. Man, if you go look at his social media, what a sweet man this guy was. Like, he really didn't do a lot in his, you know, middle age as an actor. He really was just dad. Like, that was his brand was just being almost like a dad influencer. Like, he was big-time dad. Shout out to the big-time dads, man. Yo, man, Ebro may be the only person who could not picture what Dawson looks like from Dawson's Creek. Nah, there's somebody in the chat. Somebody back me up. You never watch Dawson's Creek. I can't be the only one. the chat the chat doesn't seem I can't be the only one out here the chat is cooking you even if you didn't watch it the commercial it was so big what commercial I don't even know what you're talking about what year was it it was you were outside bro you always go over this you were outside I guess you completely missed it it was the 90s I've heard of it I've definitely heard of it I have not seen it so is Dawson's Creek is Dawson's Creek a place? Is it like a Little House on the Prairie type situation where it was like what's the show about? It's about teenage kids. It was a 90210 follow up. It was a different vibe. A different vibe. Not as super rich. But like teenage soap opera. Right Laura? So like a 90210 but we ain't got money like that. These kids were not poor but it wasn't It wasn't in Beverly Hills. It was in like, Dawson's Creek, it was in like Maine or something. Uh-huh. What was the spin-off? There was 90210 and... Melrose Place. Never watched either one of them, but I know the people on the show. I didn't watch those either, by the way. Dawson's Creek launched, James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, and Josh Jackson all came off of that show. Got it. But Ibro, you never saw Varsity Blues? No. Yeah, one of the most underrated, best football movies ever. I love that movie. Wait, did I see it? Let me Google it. Varsity Blues. James Van Der Beek plays the smart backup quarterback in this Texas town who has no interest in being on the team anymore, and his dad is all disappointed in him because instead of being a dumb football junkie like everyone, he sits around reading, like, poetry and wants to go to college and doesn't care about football. I've seen this poster never seen the movie great movie better than Friday Night Lights it's comparable better than Wildcats I don't remember Wildcats Goldie Hawn, you don't remember Wildcats I know it's a big deal but I don't remember how good a movie it was I'm being reminded by the chat that the actor Michelle Williams was also launched from Dawson's Creek I forgot she came on later too oh yeah, I forgot about that too Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child. You know what? It was on Dawson's Creek. Yo, listen, you can't do things this white with the kind of music that was playing in your house, but then you never heard of Dawson's Creek. Come on, man. I mean, listen, man, I had white music. I had some white music, but it was Linda Ronstadt, Queen, Van Halen, ACDC. It wasn't, you know. It wasn't white TV. It wasn't James Taylor, John Denver, and, you know, Boz Skaggs. I think it's just a matter of you being too old if you were if you were younger you definitely would have at least hit your radar because I wasn't watching it at the time but enough people were same I never watched it but I had friends who did it it was on all the time alright ladies and gentlemen it's time to get to the rundown Laura Stiles you ready? yep let's go But we still caught up Light still flashing We don't slow up Miss Cardi B That's right Miss Cardi B Had her first tour stop For the Little Miss Drama Tour All right This was at In Palm Desert, California So this was her very first You know Stop But she had some interesting words To say about ice Check this out Mexicans in the building Come on Bitch, if I come in here, we're going to jump their asses. Bitch, I got some bear mates in the back. I got some bear mates in the back. They're taking my fans, bitch. Let's go. Shout out to Big Boy's Neighborhood, 92.3, out there in L.A. for the clip. So cool. Looks like a great, it looks like a. I wouldn't make those jokes. Why you think they'll pull up just to put on a show, right? Well, not only that, I think they'll say she's threatening them. You know, yo, they're coming after Bad Bunny's lyrics. They went after Don Lemon. If you're a celebrity, they're making you, and this is so messed up, they're going to make you think about everything you do. They, they, just be careful. I love that she spoke out. Just be careful. Well, something has me feeling like Cardi B. As many times as we seen her in court and having problems she take the promo Facts But Rosenberg is not wrong No absolutely he not Yeah no they just trying anything they can to control the narrative to make people just... But what happened to freedom of speech? Right, right, right. Congratulations, you played yourself. Right, right, right. So, yeah, so I was very excited to see Miss Cardi B on tour. In other news, I know we were just talking about the Epstein files, but I saw this moving around yesterday and I was just like, how, how is this? Like, why? So in the new released Epstein documents, a thing that came out was that they revealed that 330 gallons of sulfuric acid was sent to the island. Okay. Okay. That's six 55-gallon drums. 330 gallons of acid were delivered to the islands. So the date matches when the Federal Bureau of Investigation opened a federal probe into Epstein's, you know, alleged sex trafficking operation. Guys, I saw when I saw this moving around Rosenberg, I saw a comment that was really interesting. Some guy was like, look, I'm a water treatment operator here. He wouldn't need that much to treat his home. I work in a plant that discharges over 100,000 plus gallons of water a day, and we don't even use that much. What are you doing with this acid? yo this is dark what are you doing with this acid well of all the things that we are documenting with the Epstein files sulfuric acid seems like a distraction to me but why do you need so much of it why do you need so many children around I don't know why do you need your own island where celebs coming party. Why do you need so much? I don't know. Can this acid make things disappear? I don't know. I have no idea. That's what I think it's for. I have no idea. What do you mean things disappear? I don't know. I don't know. It makes things burn up and disappear is what I thought sulfuric acid's for. I don't know. You mean like in what was that show? Ozark? In the beginning of Ozark where they put the chopped up body in a barrel with acid? Is that sulfuric acid? That's the first thing that came to my mind. Chat, what do y'all use sulfuric acid for? We got any criminals out here? I don't know. It's just a dog man. You gotta be a serious criminal. I hope we don't have people who know in the chat. No, they do. You think somebody in the chat stashed a dead body? I hope not. The chat is like... Leave us out of this, man. We have a lot of love in the super chat. I'm just saying. Leave us out of this. Now, this was interesting. You know, GD Mai? Yeah. She's, you know... Is her divorce from GZ Complete? I don't know if they're still... I never stopped anybody. Yeah. Why? What happened? Well, you know, there's a video going around of her getting cozy with Anderson .Paak all hugged up at like a little dinner date. So that was everybody was talking because, you know, we saw Anderson .Paak with Mariah Carey not too long ago. We thought that was a thing. You thought that was a match made in heaven. I mean, you know, it was a thing. A thing. It was a thing. I knew they were just working together. Listen, maybe they hit it off, but it was really about that single that they dropped. Right, right, right. We did hear it. And we don't even know that they was actually dating. We just knew that they held hands at a restaurant. But guess what? Anybody that's walking alongside Mariah Carey, you got to hold her hand. Because she's wearing those. Because she's wearing them heels. 30-inch still at Ozan. And she's going to be like, hold my hand. And it don't mean she like you like that. I'm not taking off the shoes. She just don't want to fall. You're going to hold my hand. You know who I'd like to see Jeannie Mai with? Who? I think Jeannie Mai and Ella Mae should be together. It's just a syllable situation. You know what I'm saying? It works. My and May. My and May, two syllables up front. I like it. Well, Ella May is with your guy from the Celtics, right? They got a kid together, right? Yes, and she's super quiet about it. She's very private. Yeah. She just put out a new album, though, and that album's fire. Speaking of new albums. Wait, wait, wait. Her man from the Celtics executive produced the album? Yeah. I missed it. Wow, okay. I mean listen because it sounds like a button wait wait what what's the button well it depends I gotta hear the album no the album's good people really like the album and she's amazing so and he probably didn't do anything let's be honest she's probably being nice I mean he might have did some you know what I mean she might have needed some extra studio equipment or something they're together he was like look I'll pay for the whole thing to get done and she's like great Yesterday, Rory from Rory and Mall hit me up for a wellness check. Okay. He said he's worried that I'm on Facebook. Is this a part of the rundown or what is this? Oh, we can wrap the rundown up. Oh, wait. So is there nothing in the lowdown? I don't really have anything in the lowdown. You know, I'm going to hit the lowdown intro every day. It's going to happen because it's fire. We could have thrown the lowdown with the R. Kelly victim thing. Nah. Now, wellness check from Rory with Rosenberg. Okay. He was worried that I was doing fentanyl after he heard my statements about the J. Cole album. I think that's a great concern. And I would like to say, remember, Ebro, I stepped into it a little bit because we sat there and we said, you really need time to give a double album a review. Are you walking back your statement on the J. Cole album? I'm a I'm a I'm a I'm a lightly Step back I'm a lightly Step back Wait hold up Let me put the Dancing music on A little step back Go ahead Dance with him Rosenberg Well listen Hip hop must have Came for Rosenberg And now he want to Do the dance And get him off Get him off His trope I'm not like I'm not like Stressing it or anything I would say though when I said like no skippers the next day Ebro played me a joint I legitimately hadn't gotten to yet and I was like that's a skipper and you know there are a few there are a few skippers there there are a few weird ones that I'm like I am good on this um I I think that the the um the lows to me are not that low um but I don't know if the highs on the album are high enough to balance out for some of those lows to make it like a great album. I think it's a really good album, but what it ends up reminding me of is this goes for everybody. Yo, unless it's your career summary greatest hits, I really don't need a double album. Now, we've been saying this for almost a generation in hip-hop, the double album. We don't need it. Don't need it. You shouldn't do it. A good 14, 15 is max for me. Anybody that goes 19, 20, 24. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Bruh, you are stepping on the line. Congratulations. You played yourself. You're right there at the line. But I actually love J. Cole's execution here. It's definitely got some skips for me. But, yeah, the life after death is the epitome of a double album. it's the best. It's the best one. Period. Like, putting J. Cole even in that conversation should have got you this. Congratulations. You played yourself. Listen, I think it's really good. I just think I overstated it by being like, it doesn't have any skips on it. So you are giving yourself this. Congratulations. You played yourself. But at the same time, I said at the time, I need more time to digest it. I just couldn't help myself. On your way to Connecticut today, alright and I want you to check back with us all you get to listen to is the J.Cole album that's all I've been listening to and I still can't get through enough of it that's the problem with the double album it's a lot how long does it take you to get to Connecticut it's a lot it'll take an hour damn you still won't get through the J.Cole album no to hour 41 but I saw he was driving around my stomping grounds of Silver Spring, Maryland yesterday asking if people wanted to jump into Civic and listen to the album. Okay. Yeah, that's his thing. He's touching the people. Pretty cool. I love that. Yeah. I love this marketing too. I do. People were just like, why, why? I'm like, why not? Let him do it the way he wants to do it. Wait, people were saying what? People always have something to say. They were just like, really? Some people are saying that they're like sick of the whole nostalgia thing. Like, just do a regular promo. Let him hop in his car and sell CDs up the trunk of his car. That's what he wants to do. Who cares? and I actually think it's kind of dope to see him pull up somewhere and be like oh my god J. Cole if you listen to this week's Patreon look it up Ebro Laura Rosemarck show or the ELR show you will hear that I don't like reminiscing either I'm not a big reminiscer like it's kind of like alright we're telling the story again but I do like a throwback car sure and I do like some vintage sneakers you know what I mean and I do like a little jump in the whip spark an L and drive around and listen to an album? Why not? That's the thing. I like that he was going for that aesthetic. That is his vibe. I don't know who's hating on that. You're hating on that, bro. You played yourself. I'm all the way in on what Cole's doing right now. And there's a lot of things I absolutely love on this album. So that, I guess that makes me biased. Because there's things on the album that are so hip-hop, nerdy hip-hop, And I have an affinity for artists that have a huge profile and tremendous success and choose to make real hip hop-ish. Like I'm biased. Even if I don't think everything landed, I love the attempt. I'm all the way here for it. And Cole does that on his album. Sampling, interpolating, referencing classic hip hop. The bars are fire. the referencing's a bit too much like i just there too many times where i go okay here we go like it's just a little too self or not self-referential just derivative or referential whatever yeah but i do think it's overall it lands like a pretty dope album now ebro super chats on fire okay what we doing somebody want us to make it clap got their merch shots to wax panels uh karapia 2026 we can't Let We Got Plans turn into Phillies. Trust the process. Plans need to come through. Love for Texas. No, look. I appreciate it. Who said this? The plans have been planning. Look. We told you we were going to get a stoop. We got a stoop. Yeah, but there's other things that are kind of dragging. Yeah, but it's coming. There's some things that are dragging. I got to be honest with people. I'm with y'all. Things drag, man. Things drag. And people drag. And then people get sick. And then you got a plan. And somebody got a kid. And then a thing. And then whatever. and I'll be like, yo, where's Kenza when I need her, man? Yo. I mean, so far, if you look at the progression, the plans have been planning pretty good. Yeah. I'm impatient like whoever that is that just left a note. It's only been, we've only been doing this for, what, eight weeks? Yeah, full two months now. We got 50,000 subscribers. Please subscribe to the YouTube. Give us a like, too. We're about to roll out, um, And time is tough with everybody having other endeavors, right? But I want to roll out some little, we're going to have little marketing commercials that are going to go up on social media and float around the internet to try to get people to subscribe. Because there's definitely people that jump on my Instagram that have no idea this is happening. No matter how much we post about it, no matter how much the caption on IG says, this is where we are every day, somebody will jump in the comments like, yo I miss you guys every morning I wish I could hear you I wish I could hear you and I'm like well first of all you're watching an Instagram with us you're not even curious enough to read where this is taking place it makes she has the thing it's so hard to even understand Bianca Pujols says love you guys give a loyal FAD a shout out there you go out here but sending love Bianca David Parker says what up ELR family love the show listening in VA woke up super hype Floetry Say Yes Tour Okay Oh this is big to Laura Stiles This is big Major announcement Wait hang We still have major announcements Drum rolls or nothing right I just saw it go through my timeline You know what We're gonna start another episode of Laura got the rundown Here we go She left it out of the rundown I can't believe She said she was going to the show I don't wanna go Congratulations You played yourself Laura how'd you do this Now I'm going to have to show up to this tour. Now you have to? You were just making fun of me for wanting to go. Well, yeah, because my lady Jazz, one of her favorite artists is Tidra Moses. We have to go. Or I'm going to send her and her girls. Yes. She'll probably want that. She's going on tour with Tidra Moses and Raheem Duvon. Oh, no. Jazz wants to be in there. Raheem Duvon's my guy. I know. So I was like, it's called the Say Yes Tour, so it's going to be exciting. yo shouts to floor tree raheem davar that's fire right right you um something that just came that i just just saw right now guys um you know a takeoff's a murder suspect gets a trial date it's happening patrick clark who's the man who was accused of allegedly murdering takeoff back in 2022 he's finally headed to trial on november 5th this year now wasn't there some discrepancies these people saying this wasn't the guy yes yes there was a lot of rumors that they set him up that it's not him so i guess we're gonna find everything out when you realize how horrible it is when you hear about these things from a distance uh how how long it takes these things what the family must be going through if that's 2022 it's now 2026 four years which is wild but these things take forever i'm gonna hit laura with the button again Why wasn't this in the rundown the first time? Because Rosenberg cut you off, be honest No, it just came out That's terrible, she just lied It was right on the paper in front of her the whole time She lied to the audience, it just came across my desk I mean it did Fishing with Fabe Fishing with Fabe says Laura, hide your damn iPad passcode girl I saw it yesterday Love the show fam Is there a passcode on that one? Yes, yes. Oh, mine doesn't have one on it. K. Blupin Mujer says, thank you guys for giving us the opportunity to follow you guys. You're amazing. Any chance the Curve segment will make its way back to the ELR show? Please don't break my heart. No. Well, so here's the thing with Curve. No. The reason it was hard to get new ones. How many? I need Griff. Griff kept track. We did hundreds of them. I think we did like 400. No, I think that was Ride or Dodge we did 400. Oh, let me see. Yeah, we did like 400 Ride or Dodge. or something. I don't know how many curbs we did. But getting people to sign up for that. 104 curbs. Oh, Griff, listen. Okay, go. 104. Getting people to sign up for that segment and then tracking down the other person. Bruh. Bruh. Congratulations. Full-time job. It was not easy. Full-time job. And currently, we don't have a staff. I mean, we have a staff, but only of the staff I think only two people get paid Griff about to send his invoice to get paid He had enough working for free I think his severance just ran out That invoice is coming in hot. Congratulations on getting severance, though. I know. Grimby K says, never watched an episode of Dawson, but still know James Van Der Beek. Laughing emoji. I think Ebro didn't own a TV in the 90s. Congratulations. The same. I never saw it. So maybe this will get me to reminisce with a more positive attitude when you guys tune into the Patreon. By 1990, starting in 1990, I went to school every day. Obviously, I had to be at school like 830 in the morning. After school, I was at the radio station until about 10, 11 o'clock at night. Seven days a week. And the reason I say seven days is because I work Saturdays in clubs, carried records, did live. what is that, live remotes where you have to go set up the equipment. But you never watched not even a little TV? Bruh. A little? I was working, man. I was working. Hard for me to believe. Like, you never saw it. Well, there wasn't DVRs or anything. Like, once you get home at 11 o'clock, what's on? I just felt like Dawson's Creek was on. Well, you think I was popping in a VHS to catch Dawson's Creek? It was just, like, always on. F*** out of here! It was pretty big. Pretty big. Evelyn Vieira sends love. Shout to you. Yasser from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. What up, my guy? Yo, what up, Saudi Arabia? Amzel. Amzel L'Oreal live threw us a 50 spot. Love how y'all putting things together. Big fan from the early days. Much love. And Marvin asked if we saw the baby Keem and Kendrick duck. When did that drop? No. So I guess the answer would be a sound. no hit us with the button so I'm excited for this new Keem release that's supposed to come here pretty quick I think this weekend we get a Jill Scott album too which I'm excited about I'm gonna be interviewing Jill Scott today at Apple so I'll be releasing that soon but yeah no this Jill Scott album is fire if you're looking for something to listen to this week fire that's dope Ab Soul is on the Jill Scott album Tierra Whack is on the Jill Scott album Jill Scott's barring it up Philly Style on the new album Oh I gotta hear that That should be fun No it's a good time It's a real good time I think it's time for the gurus The original gurus At gmail.com If you want to submit an email And you want to get Rosenberg and Laura's help I gotta be honest I don't even like being a guru Oh my god now you don't like being a guru It was more fun being a heel Being thoughtful is exhausting Let's be honest It's hard work You're here now so you gotta do your job Zen it up okay Theoriginalgurus at gmail.com Your destination for clarity Burn the sage Ebro This is the part that's worked too You gotta zen zen zen Make sure you put out positive energy for everybody Shh Rosenberg who's out there Who's writing to us? Theoriginalgurus at gmail.com. Theoriginalgurus at gmail.com. Over a 10-year listener here. Love your show. So grateful you pivoted into ELR. Because looking at the news and being informed has now become an effing critical thinking group project. And I always trust y'all to speak truth. I was an NYC paramedic during COVID and really leaned on you guys for support at the time. Thank you for supporting the blue-collar workers who run this city and run Essential City Services. and now I'm a PA and my husband is working full-time in fintech. Financial technology. Ah, thank you, Ebro. That's rich talk, obviously. So I know this is coming from a place of privilege. Our friends in NYC also feel it's mad hard to be working class these days, plus afford a kid, so none of our friends have kids, and we could really use some advice. Congrats to Rosenberg, our baby Maya, Ebro, and Laura. I know you've been in the parent game for a hot minute. I'm on maternity leave right now listening to your Patreon while feeding the baby. Looking for y'all's general new parent NYC advice. Babysitters, school-ish, making parent friends, etc. Thank you for your help. Sending love, respect, and light to ELR and Griff and your families. P.S. Thank you for hitting up Zoran's team about all side because my postpartum ass can't dig this car out of the dirty eyes. It's a fact. Man, I don't even have good advice because this is just a figure it out day by day kind of thing. First things first. First things first. Try to find someone at your husband's job, maybe recently had a baby, maybe knows a nanny that they like, and maybe if that's what she was asking, and then maybe can get a referral to a nanny looking for another gig, right? Because sometimes people have part-time nannies, and those nannies are looking for full-time. And to your point, there's many times where nannies have been with a family for a long time. It's time to move on. It's time to go. So I'm with you. I think just reference is the best way to go when it comes to child care. Yeah. And then some nannies will take multiple kids, depending on the ages and things like that, once you get to that phase, if you're there. Then the next phase becomes finding good activities for your kids. Right? Because even before you get them into the, you know, school or daycare, there's just going to a place and socializing. Like even if your kid is just now sitting up for the first time and all they can do is roll a ball across the floor, sometimes it's cool to show up to what are those things called? My gyms. Yeah, my little gym. My little gym or whatever. Do the little classes there. And in those places, honestly, your kid connects with another kid and maybe you and that parent kind of get along and then now you got play dates. Yeah, and depending where you live, there's really cool websites. Like Mary Poppins is one of them. Never heard of it. Time Out New York has like a kid section. Just look up different websites that have kind of like newsletters of what's going on in your neighborhood that is kid friendly. There's so much free stuff that sometimes people just don't know about. Yo, in the chat, do you guys want like Laura's Kids Connection, a weekly update where she lists off cool things for parents and kids? But it just depends where you live. It's different. Well, no, but the websites you just gave were great. That might lead people down. I'm just talking about the website. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And this is just me being a first time. I'm trying to figure it out, too. Because with me, I don't have that many friends that have kids, my kids' age. So I'm always looking for things to do that I could, things that I could bring kids that are younger or older or just me and Kenza roll out and go discover something new. Are you connecting with any of her classmates, parents? Yes, now I am. Got it. Now I made some friends and now it's, Nick, we're going to the same like ballet class. You know what I mean? So that's how you build community. But make sure you research a lot of those websites. So that's why I haven't had a lot to offer here because this is still a part of the process we're getting to is figuring this part out. A, with looking for a nanny. B, making friend groups and do it. So we're – I wish I had more to offer. I just am still – I'm in the exact same phase that the emailer is. So I'm learning with you. When Kenza was like six months old in the neighborhood that I was living, everything was so expensive. And I remember finding like a really dope community center that had amazing classes, bro. And it was like a membership for the year was $200. And I was like, what? I couldn't believe it. And that was my joint. I was going there all the time. And I met really cool parents there and other kids. So just do your research online and look for different websites that offer this. There's tons. I promise you. Well, the emailers in FinTech, they got some bread. So, you know. And clearly based on the super chat, we got some people listening that got some dough. Shouts to Tina Chrissy Who says good morning Rome wasn't built in a day The plans will continue to come to fruition On another note Pam Bondi is insufferable And has a degree in Darvo Look it up Darvo This is my type of thing Darvo Shout out to you Yo Dr. Iwcredible Big fan since 2014 No matter what platform I'll follow Shout all the family Safe travels today and this week. Listening from Ithaca. Big ups for peace and serenity. Bonnie hit us up. Asking how come you guys didn't cover Deion Sanders putting belt to ass during the Super Bowl press conference for people that dragged his son. Yeah, we just had a lot going on that week with the bad bunny. I didn't really think that much about the Deion thing, but I did see it. Darbo is acronym standing for deny, attack, reverse, victim, and offender. a common manipulation tactic used by a common manipulation tactic used by abusers to avoid accountability oh wow okay that's real when held responsible for wrongdoing the perpetrator denies the behavior attacks the person confronting them and reverses roles to act as the victim often leaving the true victim confused and doubting their own reality Darvo wow learn something well anyway to the emailer uh we'll keep trying to supply you guys especially new parents maybe we start like a new parent chat group we try to share share some stuff for uh people out there with kids or if you have kids would you say rosenberg that would be dope that would be a really cool unique thing that would fit to us you know for people with young kids it's a different kind of animal well and look what i've what i've heard from people who are interested in uh advertising on our show are we rapping the guru and that's the gurus yes that's So say the gurus. So say the gurus. The original gurus at Gmail. On the close today, a couple of house cleaning items and business things I want to alert the FOTS to. First things first, we have some interested advertisers coming on the program where you guys will probably see us reading small commercials during the episodes. This is a great thing because it enables us to keep our plans going and also pay the people working on the show. but what we need you all to do in the EL Army and the FOTS is when we have advertisers go check them out, see what they're talking about see what they're offering because the more engagement they get from y'all the more they want to keep advertising on the program. So that's a very important detail. Just click on whatever links we're posting The links we're posting, sites we're shouting, brands we're supporting or brands that are supporting us I think it'll go a long way but in this process one of the things I'm learning is that most of the shows not all, but many of shows that do what we do and talk about the content that we talk about whether it's politics, hip-hop you know pop culture and things like that. There's a lot of cursing and in words and weed smoking We didn't do none of that. Well, that's a good thing for us. Yeah. And that's why some advertisers are interested in our program because we do talk about hip-hop we will have hip-hop interviews and music interviews and cater to that content and audiences that want that content, but we're also offering something that's good for the whole family. I think people are excited about that. That may bode well for this program to stay around for a little bit. Yeah. As long as we can execute and keep our business tight. Yeah, listen. I know you're a crazy man and I fully respect how aggressive you are, but I'm telling you, somewhat objectively, this is going pretty good. What, are you talking to me? Yeah. Back to your original conversation at the top of the show. Like, things are moving. Things are moving, but I can't take your advice. I didn't give advice. I'm giving thoughts. Or your, you know what I mean, intel. Why? I'm too close? No, you've been on the internet for 100 years and haven't monetized it to your benefit. We can't listen to you. Hey, hey, hey, hey, respectfully, dipshit, I'm exactly who you should listen to then. Why? Oh, my God. Because I know what it is to not do good. And I know what it is to do good. And by the way, just because you keep bringing this up, you realize I've never committed to anything on the Internet. It was always a side project. This is a different undertaking. And this thing is moving along. I don't know what you thought would happen. It's different. And it's worth, bro, even from when we hit 50 this week. Today we'll eclipse 52. The movement is real. Bitch. Well, shout out to real DJ Solrific. I hope that bitch was to yourself. Hit yourself with a bitch. Oh, my God. I'm Lally. Can y'all shut up? Will you play your clip so we can leave? Which clip is that? Oh, Cole riding around a Honda. All right. Don't forget, y'all, before you leave, we dropped new merch today. The link is in the chat on YouTube, but go to EbraLaurRosenbergShow.com. The We Got Planned shirt is officially on sale. Hey, I'm only keeping it up for a limited time, so that's all I'm saying. I don't want y'all telling me, I forgot. I didn't get it. Well, I have to get the next one, Laura Staff. Yeah, that's it. Let's watch Carl ride around in a Honda. The Beamer, the whatever. I don't even know what I'm looking at. This is the worst video ever. I think Cole's coming. Cole's coming. Oh, he's turning his corner. Yes. Person shot this video at one job This is great look at this video. All right, see I'll tell you when something sucks this sucks I don't know if this is going to last. Yeah. Back up, back up, back up, back up. Sidewalk, sidewalk. Yeah, Cole's going to be like, you know what? This is a little crazy. Back up, back up. He's coming, back up, back up. What is going on? Back up, back up. Chaos. Can we play our outro again? Back up, back up. All right, we've seen it. I know. Hey, Cole, great idea. We love it. Good luck. Great idea, but. Congratulations. You played yourself. It's not going to last. Vic Mensah tomorrow. Shutting it down. It's not going to be him and the fans. It's going to be like crowd control issues. That's it. He's trying to do something nice for the fans. Ribbit it. Yeah. Listen, tomorrow Vic Mensah is on the program. Oh, yes. That's right. So we'll sit down with Vic.
