We're going to take a look at something different than a lot of people are evaluating as we move into 2026 with goal setting and intentions and attraction and things like that. We're going to look at the attractor factor, something that most people don't take a look at and it causes that oscillation in their life. If you're somebody that is really working hard and you're doing lots of things and you even assume like myself that you're open, you're saying, God, universe, tell me which way to go. Or maybe you're following some sort of mentorship. A lot of people in our makes sense Academy are getting extraordinary results because we teach them what we're about to talk about. And that is, well, maybe there's something else going on. Maybe it's not what we thought. We love the word maybe. Have you noticed that the world that we live in has been doing most of the thinking for you that your beliefs, perceptions, reactions, fears and doubts have been shaped by unsolicited outside noise. How easy it's been for you to slip into that default sleep walking mode and label it as life and reality. Yeah, that ends here. Welcome to the make sense with Dr. JC podcast. This is your opportunity to start thinking for yourself, reclaim control and step back into that role as the shock caller and dominant force of your own reality. It's when you change the way that you look at things that the things that you look at begin to change. So let's wake up. Let's rise up and let's make sense of why and how shift happens. Makes sense. Great morning world. Great morning humans. It is a great morning. Isn't it? Do you see it that way? It's a choice, right? This is your boy, Dr. JC Dornick, aka the dragon. So today's episode and conversation, I think is perfect for me and my current reality, but also so many as we are kind of at the tail end. You know, this is being broadcasted live on the 29th of December, 2025. I don't know where you're at, but we're kind of closing things up in debriefing and really focused on next year. And I see that a lot of people are in that hoping and praying and feeling confident and motivated that 2026 is going to be their year. So this topic is going to be very, very relevant. But it's also a topic that hits home. My chicken, which is my wife. That's my nickname for my wife, chicken, and I'm dragon. We have a mutual interest in this topic because relationship wise, that whole concept of thinking that you're saying and intending something, but just the energy of your vibration and the frequency that you're emitting without knowing it gives off a different vibration. We're really, really interested in having a wonderful life together and spending the rest of our lives experiencing the joys of life together. But that takes work, right? So this is part of the work. So I call this episode, your vibe attracts your tribe. I don't know what that triggers in you and what that means, but it's a fascinating different component of the human experience to evaluate. I'm very, very interested in not making my mind up about anything and allowing myself, giving myself permission to remain open and curious about things, which includes every now and then taking note that there are things that I am certain of that I allow myself to not be certain of. And that's been very, very fruitful for me in my life. And I'll give you a couple of examples of that, but we're going to take a look at something different than a lot of people are evaluating as we move into 2026 with goal setting and intentions and attraction and things like that. We're going to look at the attractor factor, something that most people don't take a look at, and it causes that oscillation in their life. If you're somebody that is really working hard and you're doing lots of things and you even assume like myself that you're open, you're saying, God, universe, tell me which way to go, or maybe you're following some sort of mentorship. A lot of people in our makes sense Academy are getting extraordinary results because we teach them what we're about to talk about. And that is, well, maybe there's something else going on. Maybe it's not what we thought. We love the word maybe. So this is your Vibe Attracture tribe. So here's the premise. What if you stepped back from life? What if we stepped back from life? So this is something that I do frequently. I stepped back from life and we evaluated it. Not with the intention of fixing it or escaping it, but simply to notice patterns and things that keep showing up. That's the active practice of being curious. Let's maybe look at life, especially as we go into 2026 and not focus on what we want or what we're aiming for. But in the same light, what seems to be magnetically drawn towards us? What are you currently attracting? When it comes to your attractor factor, take a step back and say, what seems to be magnetically drawn towards me again and again and again? And by the way, when we say that we're going to allow ourselves to entertain something, it doesn't mean that there's any sort of attachment and requirement to entertain it on any level other than just entertaining it. You can always go back to what you think. Most people believe that change begins by changing their desired state. If you decide what you want, set your North Star, that's how you trigger it. But we're just entertaining a different perspective today. So most people think that change begins by changing their desired state, changing their goals and dreams and destination. You know, they say things like, I'll get a better job this year. Look at the goals that you set. And you'll see that a lot of the goals that we set have to do with changing our desired state, I'm going to get a better job. I'm going to have a healthy relationship. I'm going to get in better shape and achieve more freedom with less stress this year. That's a great goal. I'm going to achieve more freedom, financial freedom, emotional freedom, time freedom and decreased stress this year. Cake and eat it too. So we're taught almost unconsciously. Now, that's an interesting thing to consider is what are we being taught unconsciously, meaning how are we being persuaded and taught in this current reality, algorithms and all of that stuff without knowing we're being taught. We're taught almost unconsciously that if we clarify what we want, if we get laser focused and clarify what we want, focus our intention hard enough on it and then follow it up by putting in the work. I've preached this many times. Life will eventually respond. So the idea about goal setting is very much structured around how can I leverage the things that I want and I desire into reality? So that's the idea. Set the goal, do the things that leverage it, high leverage activities. But if that were true, why do the same emotional patterns and outcomes keep repeating? So what I'm saying there is if that was true, that we needed to set our desired state, that was the thing and then do the things that leverage it. If that were true, setting aside the people that say they're going to do things and don't do them, but there's a lot of you out there that are saying you're going to do something and doing it, but the same emotional patterns and outcomes keep repeating. This is the place that makes me go, hmm, maybe there's something else. So we see people in different seasons of their lives, different circumstances, yet the same frustrations seem to return for most of us. The same relational patterns resurface and the same challenges appear just wearing new disguises. You know, there's an interesting conversation that goes on in relationships where people say, but you're never going to change. And you can have somebody that's saying like, I really am open to change. I really want to change. That's my goal. But the pattern is, is that some things never change. That's actually a saying that we say some things never change. That's what we're talking about today. So that observation has led me to a question that most of us never think about. And this is going to be fun for you. What if life and the universe and God or whatever these powers are is not responding to what we want at all? What if that's not how life works, that we decide we want something, we prove that we want it with action and life responds? It's that idea of leveraging things into our reality. What if that's not the way it works? What if life in the universe and this idea of a universe that's in full favor of our success and our happiness, what if it's responding to something more subtle but consistent, something that's running beneath our wants, our desires and our intentions and what that is our vibration. It's also our frequency. What we're doing is we're peeling back all the way back to this area that reminds us of one of our core tenants in the makes sense Academy that says, who you are and the vibration that you emit that determines how well what you do works. So we're going to look at a different component of you, of us, that I believe is prompting the universe to support you, but not the way that you wish. So I've become deeply curious about this stuff, about how our internal state seems to shape what we're experiencing in life far more reliably than our goals and desires ever do. I'm saying that our internal state, our vibration and our frequency and our energy, and this is the energy we experience between one another, I currently see that it has more influence on our outcome than our goals and our desires and our hard work. So we say things like this, when you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change, that's another one of our tenants and makes sense Academy comes from Wayne Dyer. And while that's true, and I do believe it's true, what I've noticed is how difficult it is for people to actually execute on that and shift the way that they look at things. You know, in the realm of personal growth, there's this illusion that we just have to like decide to do something. And there's a lot of that going on right now. What we're looking at right now is maybe we've got things all wrong and which is not necessarily a bad thing, right? Discovering that you're doing something wrong is a wonderful power move today, because it prompts the ability to do something right. So I've noticed how difficult it is for people to actually execute and shift the perspective of the way that they look at things. And it's not because they don't want to. And this is a really interesting thing that kind of ties in free will. Like it's my party, I can cry if I want to. There's this notion that if I want something bad enough, it will come into reality. That's important, but things are not working for people because they don't want something. What I notice is that most of the things that people say that they want and don't get, they actually do want them. It's because their vibration hasn't changed behind it, the internal state. So a little bit of science in physics, there's something called resonance. Think about what it means when you resonate with something. But on a scientific level, molecular level, resonance occurs when two systems are in phase with one another and at the same frequency. So they call that a resonance frequency. One of those systems vibrates and the others respond. And what's interesting about evaluating that on a molecular level, you'll notice that there's no effort, there's no persuasion needed. There's no intentions required. Energy transfers simply because the conditions are right. Now, let's just take a pause there and this idea of the conditions being right. I mean, what does that make me think? Are the conditions right for your 2026 goals and this idea that it's going to be your year, are the conditions right for you to work on your relationship and manifest things? See, we're looking at the underlying thing, the conditions. We don't look at that typically. We typically think that we control things with our thoughts and our intentions, but there's a condition and that's our vibration. So this is a little bit deeper than just saying your vibe attracts your tribe. We're taking a look at the vibe, the nature of the vibe. So that insight, when I made that, I was like, whoa, that insight forced me to look inward and ask an uncomfortable question. And that question, and this is one that you can ask yourself right now, is what is my current resonance frequency and what is it actually tuned into? This is the part of the human experience that we don't like to talk about. So it's important to note that when we talk about your vibration, we're not just talking about your mood or your energy. It's not how you feel on a good day or how positive that you try to sound when things are falling apart only. Those are often what I consider performances driven by intention. What I'm saying is, is if I have a positive attitude sometimes, and by the way, we're just entertaining this right now, because if you can make this distinction, you might be ready to hit a home run right now. What I'm saying is, is if I have a positive intention or a negative intention, I just noticed that those are sometimes performances that are driven by my intention. So I have this intention of something that I want and I'll perform to support it. So your vibration, your frequency and your vibration is deeper than that. We're saying that it's the pattern that your nervous system runs. When it's under pressure, it shows up in the tone beneath our words. Have you ever said something to someone, specifically maybe your partner or your friend, and without any conscious knowledge of it, they pick up on a tone behind it. This happens with my wife sometimes. And if I'm not open and curious and allow myself to say, maybe I'll get defensive. So if I say something to her, she'll go, I'm picking up a tone that says that you're frustrated with me or that you're angry or something like that. And I'm thinking rationally, that's the furthest thing from the truth. But I'm allowing myself now to say, maybe. So it's the pattern that our nervous system runs under pressure without knowing it. And it shows up beneath our words. And it also shows up in our posture that we carry. And even in the pace of our thinking. And once again, these are things that are happening behind closed doors, meaning we're unaware of it, which is most of the way our brain works. Right. So it's that internal rhythm that you've been rehearsing for years, often without realizing it. A lot of the stuff that we do, we've been practicing with consistency and rehearsing for years without knowing it. It's a silent part of your conditioning and programming that shows up. And very often you think that you're controlling it. And it doesn't go away simply because you changed your desire or wishlist. If you go listen to personal growth and self development, my podcast is a version of that. We very often get this idea that all you have to do is decide to change, change the way you look at things, things you look at change. I'm going to decide to change the way I look at things without assessing and learning how to change our vibration and our frequency. And remember something, your vibration and your frequency, your vibe attracts your tribe, whether it's the tribe that you desire or not, your vibe attracts your tribe. If you don't like the things that are showing up in your life, maybe it's your vibration. Isn't that cool? I love this conversation going on. You have a vibration and a frequency that is broadcasting, whether you're ready to accept it or not. There's a version of you that is running before long term change happens, whether you want to admit it or not. If you change your mind about something, that's a step. And there's a way of restructuring and retuning your system, but we have to acknowledge that takes time. So there's this vibration that's still attracting. I'm in this space right now and I just encourage you to play around with this. I'm in this place where instead of defending myself, I'm learning to pause. And this is part of the interface response system that I teach. Makes sense Academy and I'll come out in my book. I've learned to pause and consider the possibility that the signal that I'm sending isn't the one that I think that I'm sending. Do you have the ability to do that? Entertain that you might not be sending out what you think you are. That's a power move. The pause that I'm talking about, which the scientific term is cognitive distancing, right? My wife talks a lot about that with her clients. That pause changed everything because what it did was it armed me with the weapon of awareness of all of this stuff. If you don't have the ability to pause your own thoughts and feelings and reactions before you let them happen, what happens is is that you don't even get the chance to become aware of things like this resonance frequency. So if something's happening before entertaining the idea that something's happening, whether you know it or not, whether you're ready to accept it or not, if you're not ready to accept it, the only way you'd be able to even see it or experience it would be to pause your programmed responses because life doesn't respond to what we intend. It responds to what we consistently emit. And that's that energy, that vibration and frequency. So your resonance frequency is shaped far more by vibration than desire. Can you see how a lot of the things that you've set out to do without following through, you relied too much on desire and the whole Buddhist philosophy says that that's the root of all evil. In fact, I've identified that desire is something that we create without checking in with our current vibration. So what I'm saying is is if I say that I want something or need something or must have something and I don't check with this vibration inside, then that's what's happening. If I create a desired state and I don't check on that, well, of course, it's not going to come into fruition. That's why certain people in your life, and I know you've experienced this, certain people in my life and your life feel instantly familiar. Have you ever experienced that? That's resonation, right? You're resonating. You guys are on the same resonant frequency. This could be a good thing or a bad thing. Certain people feel instantly familiar. Why some feel out of nowhere heavy and you're just not interested in all before you even begin a relationship, which is why the same thing keeps circling back time and time again. What we're looking at once again is this other aspect of the human experience. And that's the vibration and the frequency that's running. So I don't believe all of this stuff is coincidence. I think that it's called residence frequency. So that's what I'm allowing you to throw in your tool belt today. It's just this curious place where you go, is this what Dragon was talking about with the resonance frequency? Is that what I need to look at before I plunge into 2026 to create a different situation? This is where one particular insight becomes what I would call uncomfortably honest. A misaligned frequency, even if it's an unhealthy misaligned frequency, still attracts. Now, this is heavy. What this means is that your vibe attracts your tribe, whether or not it's the tribe that you desire. You know, that situation where somebody says, are you attracting negative people and negative things and adversity into your life? And why would somebody ever want to admit that? Why would somebody want to admit that wherever they go, they're attracting bad things in their life? What I'm saying is whether you have a good vibration or a bad, the universe is going to supply and support it. So let me give you a couple of examples. So somebody that struggles with anxiety, which I've got a great expertise in in my own life, anxiety doesn't repel itself. It attracts more chaos and more anxiety. Something like resentment. If I resent you, there's this illusion that my resentment is protecting me from harm from you. Resentment doesn't protect you from evil doers. It actually magnetizes their friction. So the frequency and vibration of resentment actually gets supported with this magnetizing fashion of more friction and more problems. So a nervous system that is locked in defense mode, it's going to find situations that justify staying in that mode. Now, have a look at this. If you're in a bad mood, if you have a poverty consciousness, if you're feeling like a victim and now we're entertaining that our nervous system is wired around that, right? A nervous system that's locked in that defense mode will actually consciously seek out situations that justify staying in that mood. And you can't rationalize that, but that's the way the human being works. Not because the universe is cruel, by the way, this stuff happens, but because resonance doesn't judge the signal. The universe doesn't judge whether your signal is good or bad. It just matches it and it supports it. Your vibe attracts your tribe. So if you have this idea that the universe or God or whatever you call it has it out for you, you're not taking a look at what you're attracting. Makes sense? As another year approaches, which it is and it always is, it's tempting to ask. This is the question I ask, is this going to be my year? Is this finally going to be my year? Am I do? I think I'm do. I have this perception that I've had a rough patch of time and I'm sure you probably are with me on that if you're a human. Is the universe on my side now? Is it time for the payoff? The return on the investment. What I'm learning in that is this, the universe isn't responding to my wants and desires, it's responding to my vibration. Just because I changed my wants and desires for 2026 doesn't mean that the universe will give them to me. It's always going to support my vibration. So the universe kind of acts like an echo. I think this is a fun way to look at it. Doesn't ask whether the frequency serves me or not. It only cares that it's consistent. So what that's saying is, is whatever frequency and vibration we're putting out with consistency, that's what the universe is going to support. So when we wish to shift and change our vibration, most of us try to do this with the wrong strategy and we access the wrong layer. We say, I'm going to change my job. I'm going to change my relationship. I'm going to change locations where I live and the routines, trying to fix something internal by trying to fix it and rearrange it externally. We're saying, let's look inside first. The whole premise of the Makesense Academy and the work in our private community, the coaching and the mentoring, if you want to do the work. The idea is saying, let's establish clarity before action, before goal setting and action. Let's establish clarity first. We keep trying to fix the echo without even touching or acknowledging the signal that generates the echo. Imagine that when you look at your goals and your vision for 2026. Are you focused on trying to change this internal thing we're talking about by changing the external? For a long time, I didn't have the language for this. And that's what I'm playing with right now. Those of you that are in sub-stack in the inner circle, we're talking a lot about this now, we're working on it. I haven't perfected it, but I never had the language for what I was noticing. And I think you've been noticing it as well. I just knew and I think you do too. I just knew that something important was happening in that space where most people rush through. That's the moment that's between what it is that happens and how we respond. This is where the concept of comes in, which by the way stands for haven't made up my mind about anything. So there's this space between the thing that we perceive, and it could be our goal setting and how we respond. So that's the magic space and that's where we can rewire and retune our frequency. That awareness of that space, which only comes when you're willing to pause and say, hmm, maybe what else might be true? That awareness eventually became what you will learn is the interface response system. That's a big part of my book coming out in February. And that's the four step process that we teach in that interaction. Most people move straight from perception to reaction. And this is where we mess up. Reinforcing the same internal signal repeatedly and repeatedly. This is the definition of insanity, expecting a different result by doing the same thing every year. Catch yourself before you go into 2026 with the same strategy as last year or the same frequency and energy behind it or belief system. But when you slow that moment down, that decision making moment that we're so rushed to make, when you slow that moment down and you replace your reflex, your reaction with the power of awareness, choice replaces reaction. You all of a sudden enter this space where you go, what do I want? And you don't have to rush through that. And that helps your frequency begin to shift. So what we're talking about now is how do I change my frequency? If I know that my vibe attracts my tribe and it's going to attract my tribe no matter what it is, then what I need to do is figure out how do I change my vibe? How do I change my frequency? And we're saying it starts with being able to pause and entertain, acknowledge it and entertain. This is what we're teaching. So this is key to moving your vibe, right? And evolving your vibe. You must disrupt the sequence that nourishes and supports your current vibe. So I love pointing out in this crazy world that whatever it is that we consume with regularity ends up being what we assume with regularity. Without knowing it until you acknowledge it, you're in a consumption phase. And I'm not just talking about what you eat and drink. I'm talking about what you consume. You're consuming this right now. And I think it's a healthy thing to consume. But when you're not here, you're going to consume whatever shows up in your algorithm. So be careful, because what we're saying is is you must disrupt the sequence that nourishes and supports your current vibe. If you're anxious all the time, we have to disrupt the sequence that's nourishing your anxiety and it doesn't happen overnight. So be patient. I have a concept called Praction and that is where we acknowledge the convergence of practice and action at the same time. You have to practice being in action and you're not going to be good at it at first. And it's not going to work. You have to do it over time as the way habits are formed. So you'll know that it's working. Little signs and symptoms that it's working will come when certain people stop resonating with you because you're free from conflict now, right? Or something like that. Certain people will just stop wanting to talk to you. That's a good thing. When conversations start to feel different and when opportunities kind of show up and they're not really forced, I think a lot of times we try to force opportunities and success into our lives. But then there's this idea of the flow state. I'm entertaining the idea that it has to do with your vibration and your frequency. And the interface response system is set to rewire that, retune it. So this doesn't come from chasing better outcomes, by the way. It comes from retuning the signal and generating the outcomes that you already have. We have this ability to change our entire vibration. And if you're somebody that makes the lights dim right now when you walk in, you can't just decide to be somebody else. You have to look at this stuff. I think the best thing that anybody could do, and this is why I'm a health coach as well and I'm a health transformation coach, I think the easiest way to step into this realm is to change your physical health on a healthy body. Rest a healthy mind. So if you struggle with the mind component of this, start off with a physical. Your mind will follow suit. One of the core tenants, another one, and I mentioned this before, the Makesense Academy, is that it's who you are that determines how well what you do works. And I love this because it makes me become aware that I must first focus on the who before the do. At this time of the year, we're very do-do focused. Maybe the universe is responding perfectly to the frequency that you've been emitting and living with and tolerating. So this idea is the universe in favor of me. Maybe the universe is in perfect support of what you've been emitting, but you think the universe is not supporting what you've been thinking and wanting. So let's change that and then you can change your outcome. So this idea of executing on change the way you look at things, things you look at change, we're entertaining and it begins with a frequency, but you have to, you have to retune it, stop nourishing what's coming in from the outside and change your frequency and watch how everything starts to flow. And you got to wonder if you know someone in your life or maybe it's you that had a breakthrough year at a time where most people are not. I wonder what they would say as I say, what's your vibration right now? How are you vibrating? You don't need to chase better outcomes. You need to retune your signal. The echo of the universe is always honest and reflective of your frequency. So check yourself before you wreck yourself. The question now is simple. Are you ready not to have it all? Are you ready to start doing the real work? And that is work on the internal before we try to fix it with the external. Make sense? Love and appreciate you having an amazing day. Thanks.
