For someone who's maybe been asking for signs from loved ones, and they're not seeing nothing. But does anyone's loved ones just no show? Such a great question. No, they're probably showing what they might be missing it. I promise you this, they're sending signs, and be gentle with yourself if you're missing them, but nobody's loved ones ignore them or don't send them. You're saying clean pets? Yeah. All of us, every single person listening right now actually has 10,000 grandmothers or more in their lineage. So when we think about the power that we can call upon, can you talk about that? Because there might be some listening that's like, oh, Laura, Jamie, I don't really have a level and I want to talk to. Or I didn't have a good experience with this or that. Or can you talk about us maybe tuning into the energy and the beautiful souls we can tap into of maybe our 10,000 grandmothers? Yes. The loved ones on the other side, nobody crosses alone. That's absolutely true. We're all greeted by a team of light on the other side. And what I've learned is the only thing we take with us is the love. That's it. For the person who's listening going, gosh, am I going to betray my faith? Yeah. If I'm open to this, what do you say to that? You know, I think that religions and having certain faith, it's like a beautiful vehicle to understand God and the love that God is. And I think that fear limits us. A very decision we ever make here is either a path of fear or love. Learning how we actually can receive signs, you can apply that whether you are looking for them from the university or looking for them from the loved one or you're looking to deepen your connection with God. You can apply these exact same things and go, okay, God, show me this sign. Help me feel you. Help me hear the words you're telling me. It can really apply and strengthen your ability to tune in to whatever it is you happen to believe in. Through your books, I mean, they're so profound and powerful. And I read them and I'm like, this is the voice of God talking through, Jamie. This is what we're all meant to know about our own light and our own worthiness and our abilities here and why we're here. We all get guidance all the time. Whether we're open to it or not, it's happening. It's overcoming the fear of thinking that somebody is going to laugh at me if I believe in this or am I afraid to have these abilities. It's overcoming the doubt of your monkey mind going, coincidence, that can't be, it's overcoming that to trust it because when we trust that divine guidance, oh, and that's when the magic really happens. And we all have it. And we all have it. It's already been happening for everyone listening, whether you tune in to it or not. Everybody needs Jamie Kernleema in their life. Jamie Kernleema. Jamie, you're so inspiring. Jamie Kernleema. How do we ask for signs, whether it's from our higher power or from loved ones? How do we do that? What does that look like? How do they show up in our lives? How do we know it's real? Let me just say, when I met you at Godmother, when I was talking about when you read somebody's energy and there can be this magnet pull, that's how I felt about you. I was like, oh, she is so light-filled. I want to be her friend. I remember thinking that. All right, let's talk about signs. Signs are all around us. Whether we recognize it or not, they're happening every day. When our loved ones transitioned to the other side, the number one thing they want to do is let us know they're around still. Love hasn't gone anywhere. They're still guiding us. They're still there. So they'll try to get our attention. One of the first things they'll do is they'll mess with electrical devices. They still love to flicker lights. They'll still do that. Now that we're in the age of iPhones, oh my gosh, pay attention to days that are important for whatever reason. Phone calls coming in that don't really have a call back number. Don't really exist. And importantly, when you go to text somebody, if the words in your text box suddenly change, pay very careful attention to what they change to. Because that can be a way that our loved ones come through too. They will put coins in our path, pennies, dimes, and nickels. And I'm always thinking, well, why? Well, I think when we're light energy, it's easy to manipulate small metallic objects into our path. And I always say, if you find a coin and you have the sense of a loved one around, pick it up because the date on it might also be significant. There might be a double sign in it. And they love to send creatures, as I mentioned before, that navigate our world using electromagnetic fields, right? Birds, butterflies, dragonflies, deer, fox, bats. Why? Because I think it's easy for them to manipulate electromagnetic fields. They'll also sometimes send look-alikes if you've ever seen a person that just reminds you of your loved one on the other side. Well, that's because your loved one placed them in your path as a hello. You might see their names up places. You might go somewhere and somebody helping you has that same name as your loved one. You might see license plates that are important. You might be scrolling through your social media and something your loved one loved as a hobby is coming up. They'll do it in all sorts of ways. But what they really want from us is to talk back and create a language with them. If you've ever learned a foreign language, it can be so exhilarating because every day when you learn a new word, there's more ways to communicate. Well, that's what creating a language of signs with your team of light on the other side can be. You can ask God. You can ask your spirit guides. You can ask your loved ones. You can assign different signs to different people. So let's talk about four categories of signs that you can create and ask for. And I always tell people, write them down. When you want to ask for signs, who you're asking it from and what it is specifically, I always recommend in the notes sections of your phone because we always have our phones on us. But we can write it down old school if we want to. And here is what you should do. The first thing you should ask for is a creature, but make it a little different. Don't just ask for an elephant, ask for a purple elephant. Don't just ask for a dolphin, ask for a pink dolphin, or ask for like a platypus with a bow on it. You could ask for anything you want. Your loved ones now have a way to let you know they're with you to send you a hug and a kiss because they don't have arms to hug you anymore. They don't have voice boxes to call you up, but through a language of signs, they can show you their presence. The second thing we want to do is come up with a number sequence we want from them. Listen, I was a high school English teacher for almost 20 years. I love literature, well, a little allergic to math, but I have a great respect for it. And the other side has shown me that the whole kind of virtual reality paradigm we're living in is all based on like sacred geometry and math equations, right? So I think it's very easy for our loved ones to communicate in numbers. And it can be a number that's meaningful. It could be a birthday in the family. It could be a number like 11, 11 or 222 or a number sequence. You just think of however many digits you want. You're going to get it. Now they have another way to communicate. Think of a song. That's a wonderful way. And they've probably already sent you songs too of their own choosing, but think of a unique song you want. It could be because it's meaningful from when you were younger or it could be when you just think of now and ask for them to send that and then ask for a phrase. And that could be any phrase that pops in your mind. Have you more to the moon and back or it could be something that was meaningful when you were younger or just one you think of right now, anything you want. But now there's four different ways that they can choose to communicate with you. And you can build on these signs at any time you want. It's really, really beautiful. So you can start by asking for a purple elephant. Then you can ask for a hummingbird. Then you could ask for an art bark. You could ask for whatever you want. And the magic is you're going to get it. And when you do, here's what's going to happen. You're going to go, I got my sign. And then your monkey mind is going to try and smack that down and go, what? And then you're going to think, OK, if that was really a sign, just send me one more sign to validate that that was a sign. And then you get your second sign. And your monkey mind's like, well, send me one more sign and I'll really believe it. And you get your third sign. And you're like, now I trust it. And then a week later, you're like, send me a sign so I know this is real. And that's just a natural progression to overcoming the doubt, right? Yes. And so about our greatest obstacles to really tapping in to our team of light in our higher cell, right? So we just have to understand it's going to be a little challenge at first. But here's the thing. When I wrote my first book, I found that people would stay after to talk to me if I was doing a book signing or I was doing a workshop and they'd say the same thing to They'd come over to me and they'd say, I have a story I want to tell you that I've never told anyone else. profound, deeply meaningful, loving story of connection, of a sign or a dream visitation. And I would say to them, the greatest way we can celebrate our connection with our loved ones who have crossed our team of light is to tell that story to someone else because here's the thing. I think so many times we're afraid that we're going to be laughed at or dismissed, but that's never what happens. If you tell somebody your assigned story or your beautiful moment of spiritual connection or your download or whatever it is, they don't laugh. What they say is, oh my gosh, that's so beautiful. Can I tell you my story? And it starts this beautiful chain of light of sharing these stories, of celebrating our loved ones on the other side, of recognizing that there are still right here with us. And here's where the magic happens. When you learn to trust in the signs, when you create that language, you are now open to this beautiful path of illuminated guidedness. Like you are just in a state of guidedness. They will guide you. They will show you. And it changes things sometimes in small ways that end up changing your whole life. And the lives around you. And the lives around you. Yeah. If you trust it. Okay, so how do we ask for the sign? You said write it down in your notes. Do you say it out loud? Do you just think it? These are such great questions. Anytime we direct our thoughts to the other side, they always hear us. This is why sometimes I'll do a reading for someone and they'll say to me, can you tell my dad on the other side, I love him more, I'm sorry. And I'm like, he here, I'm the go between. You know, like they want to talk to you directly. I'm the third wheel. And so I think anytime we direct our thoughts, they hear us. It's kind of like an invisible fishing line. The minute we talk, they feel it. Same back. Right. So anytime we direct our thoughts, they're going to get the message loud and clear. So if we want to create a language, we just have to think it. Now, some people like saying out loud because it's more comfortable for them. And that's fine. It's whatever it's whatever you want. And you can make it as unique as you want. And I think that this can be such a powerful tool to help you not only like know that your loved one is with you, but really get back on a very clear and beautiful path. I think so many people when we have people we love who cross, we get very stuck in grief. You know, in grief is like a very winding road where one minute we're okay. And then the bottom falls out. And time doesn't really matter. You could have a loved one who crossed 10 years ago. And then all of a sudden, for whatever reason, one day, you feel like the floor is falling out from under you. So I think it's really important to have this language created to know not only are they present their guiding us. And to me, that's the most powerful and beautiful thing for us to know that we are not alone, that though people we love are still with us. And they want us to live vibrant, engaged lives of meaning. They want to help guide us into that knowing into that heart driven life. So I think it's so beautiful when we crack our little monkey brains and say, okay, I'm going to try this. I'm going to be open to this. And I'm going to see what happens for someone who's maybe been asking for signs from loved ones. And they're not seeing nothing. Is it does anyone's loved ones just no show? Such a great question. No, they're probably showing but they might be missing it. Or sometimes a loved one likes to do something really dramatic. I'll give two examples. The first one is I remember doing a reading for a woman. And her mom was on the other side. And I said, you know, your mom's been sending you signs. You know, I know you're seeing some of them, but she's telling me to tell you like she's going to send you a yellow bird. And it took a while. The woman was waiting for the yellow bird. But you know, on her birthday, a yellow bird came, flew and like sat on her shoulder. And she messaged me. She's like, I've been waiting. And it's just that she wanted to make a dramatic. So I thought that was really beautiful way to acknowledge her birth by, you know, it was like she wanted to have no dad. Yeah, it was really special. But I'll tell you this. Now, I'm a psychic medium. You would think that I'm tuned into all the signs. So here's an interesting story. My father is on the other side. When he crossed my sister, my mom and I, we went to the cemetery because we were trying to decide how we wanted his gravestone to look. And we just kind of felt connected a little bit there. And we decided like, okay, now we're going to go to lunch, but then we'll come back and we'll really figure it out. So we leave. We go to lunch. And we can't find a place for lunch, finally find a bakery. Now let me back off the step and tell you this about a month or two before my mom had decided that the sign she wanted from my dad was a purple elephant. She wanted that to know he was around. He was watching and he was present. All right. So we go to lunch. We're headed back to the cemetery now. And my sister who is seated in the front seat said, would you look at that? And do you know what we had passed on the way to this little bakery? We had passed a restaurant called the purple elephant with a four foot purple resin elephant outside. And we drove right past it and would have missed it. So I miss signs. But here's the beauty of it. If we miss it, they're just going to circle back for us. They'll just keep trying. They'll find a way. And I always tell people like if you're getting frustrated, be a little bit more specific. Say to your team of light or your loved ones like, look, I know you're sending them, but I'm missing them. So I need you to have somebody say it to me. Say this word to me. Or I need to go what they love to do is your social media feeds. Oh, do they send signs in there? So you could say to them, listen, I need you to put this in my social media feed today or tomorrow or as soon as you possibly can and watch it happen. So you can kind of ask for how you want to receive it. If you feel like you're not getting it, but I promise you this, they're sending signs and be gentle with yourself if you're missing them. But nobody's loved ones ignore them or don't send them. That's so beautiful. And you sing clean pets. Yes. Pets are amazing at sending signs. Absolutely amazing. And like better, than humans instantly. My dog on the other side sends sign like sent sign like the minute it crossed. Yeah. We were at the vet and it died. My dog, Roscoe died very suddenly. I wrote about this, I think in science. And I walked out and there was a statue of the type of breed my dog was with angel wings right there, like as I was walking out. It was really mad. I was like, wow, that at the universe, orchestrate that. Right. But there's magic in it because you think how do they know to get that there before that? But I think time is linear here for us so we get confused. But there's a magic that goes on. And I think when we open that language and we become guided by it, we catch on to that magic and magical things unfold. You know, for someone listening who maybe it meant a lot of people have a different faith practice that they have and they kind of still doubt does God exist, but they believe it, but they were raised that way, but they're not sure. And when you talk about signs, just to share something that was probably one of the most profound signs I've ever experienced in my life is we need to pause for a super brief break. When you talk about signs just to share something that was probably one of the most profound signs I've ever experienced in my life is you know I was I was raised going to church and then I went through this maybe decade plus period of like not believing God existed and I was around so many people in academia and I was living in New York City and just so many people I was around just thought if you actually believe whether it's in God or probably in what we're talking about or anything else they just they you know unless you can see it prove it and it's right in front of you and I went through this long period of internally doubting God existed and I'll never forget that someone said to me well you know what makes you think God can't handle your doubt why don't you ask him to like show you prove to you be on a shadow of it out he's real like what makes you think he can't handle your doubt if he's created the whole universe if he's created everything what makes you think he can't handle your doubt and I was like okay and so for the next few years I literally asked God for signs and I would if I was praying for a friend who was sick or something like that I would end the prayer with and by the way God I'm doubting you exist so if you can please show up in my life and just show me beyond a shadow of a doubt that you're real I'd be very grateful in Jesus name Amen is how I would literally end these prayers and this took a few years in Loraline Jackson it holy moly it's like some of the things that would show up I mean we I remember building a cosmetics we were like broke like teetering on bankruptcy for years in and and getting hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of nose and this went on for years I mean it was just like barely keeping the lights on and we the biggest thing that ever happened that changed the trajectory of everything was getting one shot on QVC and when I was at this huge trade show there were 6,000 women and I'll never forget QVC had this huge booth there they had been telling me no for years but a woman walked up to me and tried our probably I was demonstrating our product as a big trade show all the top brands in the world were there and no one had really known who we were but I still had it I've got a table and I was demonstrating and she came up and she tried the product and she went and told a buyer about us I went up to that buyer the buyer says oh you know she just came up and told me long story short she was a QVC host of 17 years and we flew out had meetings we got one shot on QVC and this is after them telling us no for years I learned I had to sell over 6,000 units of product in a 10 minute window to either hit their sales goal or not come back it was it was the craziest and everything was online no pressure and if it didn't sell we had to take it back and we weren't paid for it it was a consignment we would have been done everything was on the line and it took this huge risk because I trusted like that knowing that had yeah of like putting all different ages and shapes and sizes of real women as models and long story short they paired me with that woman who came up to me her name is Lisa Mason who came up to me they paired me with her as the host for our launch and we at the 10 minute mark we sold out and tears are streaming out my face after years of being told no and we weren't the right fit we'd never make it we started going on again and again and again and again eventually we built the biggest what became the biggest beauty brand in QVC's history so we did over a thousand live shows now she retired she left QVC shortly after we launched so now fast forward a few years I call her up and I say like we when we hit number one we hit the number one beauty brand of QVC I call her and I say had you not like loved our products so much because she loved and I said if you didn't love it so much if you didn't you know do everything you did like there's no way that you know we would be know you know thank you it was like thank you thank you thank you thank you for loving this product and she says and this is years later she has nothing to do with anything right with QVC or anything and she says well honey I just need to tell you that day at the trade show she's like you know your products great I wear your product is great she's the but that day of that trade show I was walking and God told me I need to go up and help this girl and she's like all I did was listen it's like that's all I did was listen and and there's just been so many things like that that have happened where I'm like okay because my monkey I did to you she was guided and it was a and I had been praying and asking for signs like God tell me you're real because guess what a lot of people in my life say that you are not there's people all around me that think I am crazy for being a Christian there I mean on and on and on and so for me it was a number of years of praying for signs like like like overt I can't deny it signs and and they they continue to show up they continue to show up so I believe in this so strongly and and I love that there's so many different ways in areas we can use it in our life I have a very close friend who's built a billion dollar business and she literally will ask like if this is this decision correct am I supposed to hire this person am I supposed to you know do this make this move in the business and then she'll ask for signs right whether it's from her higher power from the universe for her it's more the universe and she waits until that sign shows up and if it doesn't she she does not move she doesn't take the action like she has that clear of trust in it so there's so many ways because she's living a guided life yeah that's it because she has so much trust in it and the woman Lisa who walks up to you was living a guided life I'm an illuminated path because she was open and guided to you and this is the magic that happens she transformed your life you transform the lives of thousands millions of people with your beauty products and stepping into your highest path and your light energy and everything that's trickle down in light from that and you're such a person of light right so we're also interconnected isn't that so beautiful I love and it's exactly what you said like so she's walking this illuminated path right and and she hears this knowing go up and help this girl and and by the way everyone in that whole room wants to be on KVC 6000 people with beauty brands and she just she trusts she's living that path and then all of a sudden I get a shot and then we go on and then it's just like this whole um this whole thing is so beautiful I you know I want to ask you about that in terms of how we can all tap into that I remember the first time ever walking into Godmother's bookstore in Somerland started by Jennifer Rudolph wash and Victoria Jackson mutual friends of ours but also a place that's just become iconic and legendary and it's just it's magical but I remember the first time walking in you walk in the front door of this bookstore and in Somerland California and there are pictures of women on all the walls who almost are our you know chosen Godmother's they're just iconic women who just put out amazing offerings to the world and there's a single light bulb on the front table and it's just like this like I you feel like it's a living experience of an aha moment walking in a door whatever that that means but it's like I I just remember feeling that and and the essence of Godmother's or Godmother figures in our life and you talk about and guided and you've said this before that all of us every single person listening right now actually has 10,000 grandmothers or more in their lineage so when we think about the power right that we can call upon can you talk about that because there might be someone listening that's like oh Laura Jamie I don't really have a level and I want to talk to or I didn't have a good experience with this or that or can you talk about us maybe tuning into the to the energy and the beautiful souls we can tap into of maybe our 10,000 grandmothers or or other Godmother like figures well I love that you're bringing up Godmother's let me just stop first I love that says the Godmother's that have lit our way yes yes and personally in my own life Jennifer Roodlevall has been a source of light for me books are out in the world because of the light of her and what she saw in reading the first one so that bookstore is extraordinarily powerful to walk into especially for me and I love that I met you there I think that the universe is guiding people into our paths all the time in the here and now like living a low and illuminated life is not just being in a state of connection with our team of light on the other side it's being open to the people we're guided to to the experiences we feel a little pull to to the things were like logically I shouldn't say yes to this but spiritually I feel I meant to like tuning into that and knowing that and understanding that can be so profound and so important so I think that there's myriad ways that were guided both in the here and now and by the other side so let's talk about the team of light on the other side yeah sometimes people can say well you know I had a difficult relationship with this person on the other side and I really I'm not open to that right now what else do you have for me what else is over there well as I said before sometimes I'm doing readings where somebody's grandparent steps in or great-grandparent who they never met but that person knows everything about there are loved ones here's life like the person in their family is life and if you think about all the people that came before us for us to be born it's mind-boggling and that cells hold memory like if you start looking into epigenetics it follows how like ourselves hold the memory of our ancestors and I think what we don't realize is we can call on the light and the connection and the power of those ancestors anytime we want we can ask them for guidance we can ask them to step in because we're here because they fought so hard to find a path of light in their lives to bring through families to create to do things like we are so connected to those who came before us in profound and beautiful ways and I think opening to that truth is a whole other level of understanding who's on our team of light and how to be guided for the person who is like okay I'm totally down to try this I want to I want to be guided I want to be open and they're probably thinking I'm still going to doubt it when it happens but I'm going to be open and I'm going to doubt less I'm not less I'm going to ask for another sign and another sign and then I'm going to triple check and then I'm asked for one again exactly as you shared how can we start to turn our monkey mind off and start to open up to this like you mentioned you have a switch like you have a switch you know how to do this well we all have it yes it's just said so many of us shut it down by age seven it's just as easy as saying I want to open back up to it show me guide me and you know there's a 21-day rule that's been studied by scientists and the idea behind it is if we do any one thing for 21 consecutive days it sticks and becomes a habit they tested this with people who were self-declared pessimists and they had them right gratitude less for 21 consecutive days just like those five things are grateful for and by the end of 21 days they self-reported that they were now optimists right so it's about energy and belief and all that right so if we make a commitment for the next 21 days to try being open to the sign thing asking for a sign and recording whenever we think we've had a moment of spiritual connection whether it's feeling chills because we hear about somebody else's story and it's like validation of spirit or we feel the presence of a loved one or we have a dream visitation or some people see like orbs floating right or we get a sign that we've asked for or somebody has been put into our path who we just feel has been guided to us for us to be open to or we see a license plate with a number or initials that are significant let's look for the next 21 days and every time we get a sign or a moment of connection let's write it down let's just record it because what we're doing is we're being open to that experience and whether you get it every single day for 21 days or you get it every other day or however it works out we're in the mindset of celebrating that connection and what will happen is by the end of 21 days your monkey mind is going to sit down and shut up that's what's going to happen and then you're on a guided path. I love this so much okay I want everyone listening this feels right in your gut or you have that you're like I love how you open this interview where you're like well if you're listening to us right beautiful expressions because I also think that when we come together and when we share stories like this or when we exactly what you said earlier when you're like you're you're you're kind of kind of vulnerable oh I want to share with this person that I had this experience but am I going to be judged but the second you do they're like oh that's so beautiful here's my experience right so when we come alone we have these shared experiences we're willing to just put it out there as well all of us feel less alone more enough and we form this community of light yes and that light those beams go out very far those beams go out so far and can you talk about what an aura is and why does this matter and and and I know science has it it is biofear yeah yeah scientists will call it a biofear yeah I call it an aura it's the same thing it's the idea that there is an energy field that emanates around our body a few feet and everyone of us has everyone of us has it yeah and if you get really science you can start looking into a churly in photography and something called the torn leaf experiment which you want to go on a deep dive go do that it's about cameras that can pick up in perceptible light we all give off light and it will show like where your energy fields are the torn leaf experiment was a thing where they put something under a very sensitive camera a leaf they tore half off put the half torn leaf back down and the light energy imprinted of a whole leaf because the idea is that that's the aura that's the energy field that was programmed there but we all have an aura and it's kind of interesting to think like well what's in your aura because the people you've been hanging around with their energy is in your energy so sometimes we just need to be a little bit mindful of what we're bringing into our energy fields and we've got to kind of set the intention to clear it sometimes sometimes people will have rituals to do that like smudging which is burning dried sage as a knack to get rid of like any energy negative energy that's in your energy field some people love to work with crystals and like you know create a crystal grid there's a store in LA I love cold open eye crystals with a girl named Madison who does the best crystal grids if anybody feels like diving into that deep dive I always feel like you should listen to things that pull it your soul right that you might want to do but our oras you know if we're around art that's going to be there but our intention is also in our aura so if we don't set an intention with our team of light it's kind of like we're waiting for something to happen we don't really know what if we set an intention now we have clear guidance we've asked for or a mission that we're on so I think it's really important to be mindful of that when I do readings and I read somebody's aura I see every it's I see their past their present their future I see kind of timelines with a line drawn down of like important moments or decisions they've made because I do think that we're all on a journey here and I think it's a beautiful wonderful journey and the whole point of it is love you know you brought up before what your mom was sharing about being crossed over by loved ones on the other side nobody crosses alone that's that's absolutely true we're all greeted by a team of light on the other side and what I've learned is the only thing we take with us is we need to pause for a super brief break and while we do take a moment to share this episode with every single person that you know who this what I've learned is the only thing we take with us is the love that's it everything else it's like if you have a colander and you're just like things fall through it it's like what's left is the love that's what we take with us so I love that that was something your mom was able to leave you with before she physically transitioned that's so beautiful you know and we think about and how we feel how we feel around other people how you said sometimes we're allergic to someone as does all these different things we think about people's oras when you walk in a room and you just feel like like all of a sudden just a lower vibration or you feel kind of a you know what I love or you have to interact with someone at work you do not want it you always feel awful after or there's someone you love but there are very much an energy vampire whatever it might be any of these things you talk about a tool I want to I want to have you share with everyone because this is so good we can all do it it's free and you talk about white lighting ourselves white lighting ourselves can you explain with that yeah so it's a visualization we do because thoughts are energy and our thoughts matter more than we can imagine our thoughts are made of light and thoughts lead to actions but every thought we have either puts more light into the world or add darkness so even if we have negative thoughts it's important to like talk over it and be program it but this this really quick meditation everybody can do is just visualizing this right using our thoughts to visualize an image and the first thing we always want to do is do a little bit of breath work because what I've learned from the other side is that the moment our soul connects fully with our physical body is when we're born and take our first breath and the moment it dislocates and leaves is when we take our last so anytime we breathe we're automatically hitting the reset button on that three-way triangle of our spiritual light energy in our physical body being steered by the ship of our free will right so it's like way to get grounded back into your spiritual self so you just breathe in really slowly and fully through your nose and out through my mouth and you do that three times so in three your nose and out three your mouth and in three your nose and out three your mouth and now if you're comfortable closing your eyes you can close them but you're going to visualize a beautiful sparkling white light lake of energy above your head and it is so expansive and so abundant and then you picture it coming down over your head like a waterfall encapsulating your head going over your shoulders going down the length of your body into the ground and what you have just done is you have honored your spiritual light energy and you've created a clearing force field around your beautiful sacred energy and everybody else's I love doing this in the grocery store and at Costco when I'm going down in Ireland I can tell who read energy that person's had a bad day but I can't awkwardly turn my card around I'm gonna have to push past them I'll just white light myself with my eyes open I'll do that little meditation nobody is any wiser and I can walk right past the person without having that kind of negative energy stick to my aura so this could be a really helpful tool we can all use and it protects us protects us and you have it penetrating yes and you'll feel different when you do it you do you feel different yeah you just mentioned to about thoughts we have if we negative thoughts it can put negative energy in the world if you positive thoughts and I am recently on the show Chelsea handler was on and she was saying that her she's transformed a big part of her life because she used to sort of like you know you know talk about this kind of thing she said she will not even put negativity in writing yeah she won't text anything negative she won't if she gets invited to do 10 podcasts and she only wants to do two of them she won't say anything negative about the other ones even in an email like she's so mindful of it and she says it's transformed her whole life yeah Chelsea is amazing and she completely practices what she preaches and she's a force and I think she's a teacher here to others so yeah yeah it's beautiful guided brand new book guided out now picking up everywhere it is sold at godmothers it's sold wherever you get your favorite books and I actually recommend reading all three of yours in a row because I think like I love how you also just sort of like explained their journey and and for this book just to really ask you this for the person listening who is this book for this book for everyone like if this book has crossed your path it's found you for a reason you might not believe in anything you might completely already have a great relationship with your team of light you might be skeptical but open and by thought I mean a true skeptic is not a closed-minded believer if you're a closed-minded believer this can't be possible it can't happen well read it anyway if even if you're a closed-mind believer but if you're a skeptic and you're saying I don't know there could be something to this but I don't know I want to explore it well I think that's the most powerful thing we can ever do here is to recognize we're all on journeys of discovery you know as raised by two teachers and they they always taught me to be a critical thinker in the world and a critical thinker doesn't just like listen to what somebody says and just take it hookline thinker and adopt it as their own you know beliefs they go on a journey of exploration and I think that's what guided invites you to do it questions you like reflect on your own life recognize maybe the ways you've already been guided and recognize the ways that you can open more to that guidance and what that might transform and do for you and for others around you so I really think that's it's for everyone yeah I have a lot of people in my life who have really strong particular religious beliefs and they are very very close to anything that might be beyond exactly what they were taught and so my question really is about because I know you work with so many different people and I know you've worked with a lot of people who just love you and love your work who also have very strong religious beliefs so for the person who's listening going gosh am I going to betray my faith if I'm open to this what do you say to that you know I think that religions and having certain faith it's like a beautiful vehicle to understand God and the love that God is and how we're interconnected but it's like one person might drive an SUV another might drive us to Dan somebody else has taken the boat there somebody's taken a train somebody's taken airplane but it's all getting you to that destination so I think there's beautiful light and validity in all different religions but I think it's all the same God call it whatever you want like you know the universe God life energy force whatever that word is for you it's that thing that's greater than each and every one of us but part of us at the same time so I think even if you have a really structured belief system but this podcast found you it's a reason for that you know and I think that fear limits us and I think one of the reactions people can often have if they have a set belief system that they're worried they're going to betray well what is that really about that's a little bit about fear of exploration so I think every decision we ever make here is either a path of fear of love and the fear path will tell you like well if you do that xy or z might happen and dada dada you get kind of stuck in that but if you open to the love path you might say like oh well this is a change or an experience or something that's being offered to me maybe I'm meant to explore it and see where it leads me and I'm going to just be open and loving about how that's going to be in my life so I think that can be a really beautiful opportunity to choose the love path yeah you know and I love to use so many the tools that you talk about and guided you know there's so many people that write into me every day and say things like I you know I'm trying to hear my intuition but I can't or I'm trying to hear God but I got I'm trying to it is I'm trying to you know that kind of thing and what I was just thinking about as you are sharing this the words you just shared is that so many of the tools in here the four c's learning how we actually can receive signs you can apply that whether you are looking for them from the universe or you're looking for them from a loved one or you're looking to deepen your connection with God you can apply these exact same things and go okay God taught you know show me this God show me this sign talk to me this way help me feel you this way help me hear the words you're telling me it can really apply and strengthen your ability to tune in to whatever it is you happen to believe in yeah yeah and on that note it made me think of what I've learned from the other side which is if we want to hear God if we want to connect with God energy our teams of light whatever that place is that's going to guide us doing things like going out in nature or creating art are wonderful ways to shift your energy into a state of openness with the other side the other side tells me no artist ever works alone there's always a collaboration from like the other side God energy team of light with that artist to bring it through you'll hear this a lot from writers from painters from all sorts of songwriters will say it didn't come from me it came through me yes and I think oh wow that's true for all of us so anytime we create art we are like God God is a force of creation right exploration beauty love we dive into that we don't have to be experts again materialistic world's gonna tell you don't even paint that or sculpt that or try to write a song unless you're an expert and you can monetize it and that's so not true it's the act of doing art bringing that through us that connects us to God energy right that lights us off that gets us on that illuminated path and then going out in nature we get quiet you know everything has energy everything is energy is so magical and beautiful and I think a form of meditation is called a walking meditation where you literally just go outside and walk in Japan they have forest bathing it clears your energy in Scotland doctors prescribe walks to their patients as therapeutic means of healing so I think there's something really profound to that too so if you're somebody who's sitting here on this podcast value and you're like I don't know how to even start this how can I hear God how can I connect with my team of life how can I open to this go do art go for a walk in nature those are two ways to kind of dive right in and get there yeah I It's kind of like cheat codes yeah and I remember you know both of my books worthy and believe it I didn't I swear to you I feel like I did not write a word I feel like it was completely came through me I feel like it was God moving through me and and that's why when they when the publisher wanted to do a third book I said no actually when they wanted a second book I said no because nothing's coming through me yeah like oh we have ghost writer to bother I'm like no no but for me I want to I know if it's right if it's like flowing through me so I so then it I waited and until worthy became a download and and so but that's how it felt right it just like literally yeah literally came through me we were like whoa like whoa and and I have moments like that all the time where and then I'll just end up like I'll write it really quick a note something that I don't remember so I don't even know where that came from but that felt like that something that's supposed to be you know that's like some kind of divine download that's just like or if I get them for friends a lot mm-hmm I get them for friends a lot yeah and I'll tell them and yeah there's some crazy stories and but you know so I'm very I try to be very open to it and you are you know I think you're one of the greatest examples of somebody living a guided illuminated life not only in your own but you're a teacher for others like even just exploring this topic on this podcast you're becoming a teacher for so many people you're opening that door for them through your books I mean they're so profound and powerful and I I read them and I'm like this is the voice of God talking through Jamie this is what we're all meant to know about our own light and our own worthiness and our abilities here and why we're here so I love that you recognize like that it came through like that and I love how authentic you are where you're like no I'm not gonna just have a ghost writer write something for me on some random topic this has to come through me and I think if we all get into a state of openness and connection like that what magic could happen right you say we all have this you say we are all I have been in rooms so so I haven't even there's so much to share and I'm so excited I'm by the way I'm sharing one percent or less of what's in guided which is why everyone needs to grab their copy it is so good and every one of us like when we even I can just speak for myself when we start to feel like we're living an illuminated life we want to hold out more of that light yeah like it sure feels a whole lot better than our monkey mind or any of the other things and I think it's a really individual journey too you might be listening now going there is no one in my life right now they're gonna think I am nuts if I'm like I'm about to tune into my team of light I have found Loreland Jackson that I I'm so blessed with my family I have five families through adoption is all these things I wouldn't change a thing I love them they all vote different love different but I feel like I learned about you know okay how can I help in some small way heal humanity through love yeah first you have to understand the humans that make it up some very grateful for you know how different from me all my families are but what I want to say is there's been a number of times in my life where I felt something was right in my gut but no one else around me did and and and even when you know Paulo and I my husband Paula when we launched it cosmetics there was a number of people thought we were nuts right for me to give up my job and journalism for him to give up his job and banking and for us to just go all in on a beauty company and then for the years and years and years where it was not working they're like so you haven't paid yourself in how many year but but that feeling inside it was like trusting trusting that feeling trusting that that we're being guided trusting every time I prayed I was like I'm supposed to be doing this and trusting it so what I want to say is that if you're listening right now and you're like I have this nudge where I'm supposed to kind of open myself to this but no one in my life is gonna think I listen I just have to say there are so many things in my life that never would have happened if I would have done what everyone else around me was doing if I would have you know if I would have shared some of my hopes and dreams with some of my friends at the time or people I was around or co-workers I would have doubted myself out of my destiny like so if you're feeling in a nudge right now like oh I want to be open to this you don't need to go tell everyone about it and ask them there but like if you feel it you know I love what you said try this and and don't believe lorlind Jackson don't believe me but but but try it in your life and maybe it's you know someone who you love dearly and you just want to connect with and maybe you just ask them for a sign maybe it's you know your creator that you were like god I want to believe you're real you know let's come up with the language together so I know that you are but just whatever it feels right to you I want to encourage you to to be open to it and to not worry if the people around you don't get it yeah or don't in me or or might think like this is just a little bit off and um uh you know you were you were a teacher for two decades and and now you are probably one of the most well-known teachers on a whole different level uh and and psychic mediums and best-selling authors I want to ask this for the person listening who maybe says I feel like I maybe have these abilities I know you say everyone does yeah but they say I think I have these but maybe I don't how did you not doubt yourself out of your destiny when you were you know working as a school teacher and then deciding that this is actually some a gift that you have and I'm asking that really for everyone listening who maybe has that feeling or that knowing that they also have a gift yeah you know I was really guided to teaching I write about that and guided my own experience with someone who came into my life I think the universe our teams of light gods sends people into our past to help guide us in the here and now right so I had been pre-law and I had the last minute changed and became a teacher and I love teaching so much I really did um but I was doing my psychic mediumship and secret I um tested for uh an organization it's a nonprofit called Forever Family Foundation and it was founded by a friend and Bob Ginsburg and they had lost their daughter Bailey she had crossed to the other side but they started getting signs and messages and they felt like this is real the afterlife survival of consciousness is real and they wanted to create a safe space for people who had lost mainly like parents initially but then it expanded to anybody who had lost somebody they loved on the other side to be able to explore this with mediums who were proficient and able to do what they said they could do and also volunteering so doing that you know just to volunteer their services to help people in grief and so I had tested for that in 2005 while I was teaching because I've always had these abilities and when I had my first daughter in um 2000 like they just the volume switch got so loud so I tested for Forever Family Foundation and I was volunteering and um I loved it but I was doing it in secret right and then somebody at my job signed up to go to like an event that I had volunteered to do and they're like is this you and I was like oh no my husband's like you have to go tell the principal now and if you can't they tell you you can't do this you can't and I read all about this in the light between us my journey to this right um but but the universe god placed people in my path who guided me into owning these beliefs right so my principal was like this is amazing who's around me and her mom came through and like all this information so she called the superintendent and I got permission to carry on I could still do this even and teach at the same time and at one point I went to a psychiatrist and I was like you know I'm hearing voices and he's like well what are the voices saying and I'm like well it's the person's grandmother who crossed saying she's really excited about the new baby that was born in the family that's middle name is after her and he's like carry on that's beautiful so every time that I hit what could have been a roadblock that would have really made me you know maybe shut down or turn the other way instead beautiful people were placed in my path that were like there's your path keep going keep going so then it came down to me trusting what I got and I got a download one day when I was on hall duty that told me you're gonna write a you're going to be a speaker you're going to teach this in the world it's gonna go to TV what like I saw all this stuff that was just mind boggling nothing I would ever come up with and I came home from school that night and I told my husband there's something I need to tell you I'm gonna write a book blah blah blah but he knew me so well by then and he had seen so much evidence of this that he just took it and started he's like okay all right we're gonna be doing you're gonna be doing this and within 24 hours everything started just magically falling into place with this right it's just you know it's I was guided and I think this is the thing we all get guidance all the time whether we're open to it or not it's happening it's overcoming the fear of thinking somebody gonna laugh at me if I believe in this or am I afraid to have these abilities it's overcoming the doubt of your monkey mind going coincidence that can't be that's not materialistic paradigm that can't be it's overcoming that to trust it because when we trust that divine guidance oh the illuminated illuminated path that's before us then that's when the magic really happens but it's our job it's our free will to decide am I gonna open to that and I gonna trust it and we all have it and we all have it it's already been to connect with yeah and i think that's beautiful and you have your event also you know it's funny you mentioned your your event at the amiga institute that you do once a year you mentioned it in guided and when i read that i'm like oh this event is gonna sell out now forever um and i've been to the event and it's incredible and beautiful i have to tell you uh the first day of the event we're in a room there's maybe 500 people 400 people something like that um 500 something like that and a woman stands up and is talking to another woman and she says i'm here i just met this woman right here named nina and my mom is nina and i've never in my life met another nina and i lost my mom two years ago and i'm never in my life met another nina and my best friend was with me jacke and she turned me and started sobbing she's like your mom is here and um it's just the events beautiful and so many so that event you do once a year and that's your only like weekend long it's not only weekend one yeah i'll try to do maybe one day workshops and things like that i just like getting people to open their energy to recognize they can do this themselves yeah and i love the collective energy at you know workshops because we all come together and it's just this multiplication not addition of like light energy and goodness and connection and that story you just shared like that's the magic that happens yeah that's so beautiful and i love the room because it was people of all different backgrounds all different faiths all different experiences just coming together to be light and love yeah and just connect and it's all called in we're all called in thank you thank you thank you so much i've loved being in conversation with you remember this episode's not just for you and me
