Summary

The Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show explores how keeping promises builds reputation and trust. Through a lemonade stand parable, hosts Daniel and Destiny teach young leaders that reputation grows through a three-step process: say what you will do, do what you said, and repeat it consistently.

Insights
  • Reputation is more valuable than money and is built through consistent promise-keeping over time
  • Small daily choices and habits formed in childhood directly shape the kind of adult and leader someone becomes
  • People forget what you say but remember whether you kept your word, making integrity the foundation of trust
  • Keeping promises opens doors and creates opportunities that shortcuts and dishonesty never can
  • Reputation compounds: each kept promise strengthens trust and leads to bigger responsibilities and opportunities

I feel too old to change us. You can do anything! We all have a God-given destiny. Never let negative thoughts or people tell you you can't be great. Can you feel for me and wonderfully made? There's greatness inside all of us. But greatness doesn't happen. It takes boldness, courage, and leadership. Welcome to the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show where we think big, big, boldly, and make amazing things happen. I'm Destiny. I'm Daniel. We challenge you to step into your future, take action, and create a legacy that lasts. Let's go! Hello, hello, my curious builders and courageous legacy leaders. Welcome back to the Entrepreneur Kids Legacy Show where young leaders learn how to build ideas, character, and strong lives together. I'm Daniel, your business buddy. And I'm Destiny, your sweet idea and corridor. Your official reminder that small choices today can build a big future tomorrow. Legacy leaders today were learning something that is even more valuable than money. It's called reputation, and reputation grows from something very simple. Can you guess what it is? Keeping your word. Legacy leaders, let's get in the mood together. When we say legacy leaders, you say let's build. One, two, three. Legacy leaders, let's build together. One more time. Three, two, one. Legacy leaders, let's build. Perfect. Now we're ready for today's adventure. Friends, have you ever promised something like, I'll bring the toy tomorrow, or I'll help clean up later? And suddenly, maybe something came up. Like, maybe something looked more fun. Or maybe you forgot. Or maybe you just changed your mind. Today we're learning why keeping your word matters more than we realize. Daniel, is it time for the story of today? Absolutely. Start up the time machine, Destiny. It's time to rewind the clock. Hold on tight, legacy leaders. Three, two, one. Daniel, look where we are. This neighborhood is beautiful. The house is all colorful. The sun is shining. And it feels like something exciting is about to happen. It really does. It feels like the kind of place where ideas come to life. And where small choices turn into big lessons. Imagine this, legacy leaders. Two children decide to open lemonade stands on the same street. They both make bright colorful signs. And they line their cups up perfectly. And they both tell the whole neighborhood. Come back tomorrow, we'll have healthy organic lemonade for everyone. Oh, that sounds exciting. I would definitely come back. Well, the next day arrives. The sun is shining again. Neighbors walk down the street excited to see what happens next. One lemonade stand opens exactly when they promised. The lemonade is cold and delicious. The cups are ready. This child smiles and says, thank you for coming back. But the other lemonade stand, you'll never believe it. It never opens. No lemonade, no sign, no sorry, no explanation. Oh no, they came back and nothing was there. So listen, the next week something interesting happened. One stand has a long happy line of customers. Giggling, excited to be there. People all smiling, talking. They're coming back again. But the other stand has no customers at all. It's quiet, completely empty. Do you know why, friends? Because people remember something very important. They remember who kept their word. Legacy leaders, people might forget what you say. But they will always remember if you keep your word. That's right. Just like we say when we're gonna sew up, we sew up. Don't we, Daniel? That's right, Destiny. We sure do. Don't we, friends? Wow, Daniel. That was such a powerful story, wasn't it? It sure was, friends. That story wasn't just about lemonade. It was about something much bigger. It was about reputation. Daniel, look. Leo's notebook is open again. And Linnie drew something next to it. It looks like two lemonade stands. One with a big line and one completely empty. Let's see what Leo wrote. A good reputation is built one promise at a time. Wow, Daniel. That explains everything. Exactly. Reputation grows when people see you do the right thing again and again. Well, Legacy Leaders, what did we learn today? May I go first? Yes, go ahead, ladies first. We learned that reputation grows in three simple steps. Step one, say what you will do. Leaders make clear promises. For example, I will help my friend. I will finish my homework. I will bring the soccer ball tomorrow. Very good, Destiny. And step two, do what you said. Keeping your word means doing the thing you promised. Even when you're tired or when something else sounds more fun and especially when no one is watching. Step three, repeat it. Reputation grows when people see you keep your word again and again. Say it, do it and repeat it. Then you're keeping your word sounds really important. Yes, it really is. Your reputation grows every time you keep your word. Because the habits you practice when you're young help shape the kind of adult you become. It's important to learn to keep your word when you're young. That's how Legacy Leaders build strong friendships, strong businesses, strong families and strong lives. That's right, Legacy Leaders. Your view types and grows every time you keep your word. That's right, your reputation. That's what I said. Reputation. Do you know what time it is, friends? It's time for the Legacy Lightning Fun Facts Round. Here's a question of the day, friends. What helps build a strong reputation? A, saying a lot of promises. B, keeping your word. C, changing your mind all the time. Or could it be D, making friends with an alien? Are you ready for the answer? 3, 2, 1, shout it out! Oh, I think I heard some right answers. But just to be sure, run down to the show notes to make sure you're right. Don't forget to leave your favorite part of the show while you're there. On the comment section on the platform you're listening on today. Don't forget to leave your parents' Instagram handle so we can slide into your DMs. That's how we find our next Legacy Leader of the Month. So exciting. Now it's time for the Legacy Challenge of the Week. The Promise Challenge. Challenge accepted. This is a good one. Choose one promise and keep it. Then after, ask yourself, how did it feel? That's a good one. I won two of the challenge today. I'll sleep right now. What's the challenge going to be? I'm going to record next episode now so it's ready for you guys. That's a great commitment. That's keeping our word. Legacy Leaders, we're so proud of you. Because keeping your word is one of the strongest leadership habits you can build. And when people can count on you, they trust you with bigger opportunities. And that often leads to more chances to grow and help others. And yes, even earn more over time. Not because money is the goal. Because integrity opens doors that shortcuts never can. When you do what's right, God can trust you with more. Absolutely. Say it, do it, repeat it.
