the next week. We'll be back with more on that. 8 49 on a Thursday morning. We do it every week at this time. We have some fun with the segment. Let's do it. It's time to ask Mundo anything on 95 7 fm KCMO talk radio. All right, let's start off with Mark in Lenexa. Go ahead, Mark. What's your question? Good morning, Pete. Hey, you, Kate and the kids go on to the show. I'm Mark and I'm going to ask you, Lindsay Graham and he asked to ride on three rides with you. Which three are you hard on? He was taking the kids. Oh, my gosh. Okay, which rides? Well, you know, I'll put them on Space Mountain because then I don't have to look at them. It's dark on that ride. I don't really want to stare at Lindsay Graham. Uh is the best ride ever. I've seen it before. I've seen Lindsay Graham's face on the Tower of Terror. And what else would I put Lindsay Graham on down at Disney World? I'm blanking on some of the other rides. It's been about 25 years since I've been there. Got to put them on Dumbo. Okay Yeah. Yeah. You know what? Lindsay can ride on Dumbo by himself. How about that? Sound good? You like this, Mark? I do, but I was hoping to hear him sing. It's a small world after all. Put them on. I'm not going to say anything. I'm not going to say anything. I'm not going to say anything. I'm not going to say anything. I'm not going to say anything. I'm not going to say anything. Okay that that I'm not putting them alone. I'll just say that much. All right. Oh, payment brother. Thank you Mark. Love the show. Congratulations on nine years. You're a great addition to the city. Thank you, man. I appreciate that. Thank you. Yes, I appreciate that. Full team. Full team 913408 7957 Eli in Kansas City. Go ahead, my man. You're next up. Ask Mundo anything. Hey, Pete, what's your take on this trend of Republican incumbents stepping out of their races at the last minute and apparently or attempting to handpick their successors? Yeah, okay. So yeah, Steve Dames did it in Montana, so a top tier Democrat could not jump in at the last minute, right? That's what I think that was about. Uh, Erick's on Platte County dropped out five minutes before filing deadline for his assistant filed. And then you're talking about Sam Graves dropping out this week or last week and then Stigall getting in. Correct Okay. Well, listen, um, it's not illegal. It's the way the game is played. They obviously want their guys to get in. And you know what? In the case of at least the race up north, you're going to have a competitive primary up there in North Missouri between Chris and I. And so, uh, the voters get to decide, so, uh, there are different reasons that they all did it like the local versus the congressional versus the statewide. I don't think they're all apples to apples, but at least up in the Northland, you'll have a choice in that Missouri congressional race. All right, thanks. Yeah, I appreciate it, man. Thanks so much. I, you know, I mean, that's that's what you want, and it's a free country and anybody can run and, you know, I like Chris a lot. He's a friend. I like Nathan a lot. He's a friend. Both guys are allowed to run and I'm not going to knock either of them and say, well, Chris was just the pick by graves or Nathan shouldn't run because Chris got picked by graves. Like, you know what? It's free country. Let them both run and let the best man win and, uh, you'll get to decide. Which is what it's all about in the end. 913408 795 7. Here we go. Let's go to. Aaron in Overland Park. Ask Mundo anything. What's up, Aaron? Hi, Pete. Um, I know you have three daughters and they all begin with C. If you had a son, did you guys have a boy named that began with C? That's that's an interesting question. Uh, the question is, um, I was never a fan of a junior that was not something I ever really wanted. But we had only talked about it briefly. I think, well, I would have lobbied for Pete. That's what I would have lobbied for if we had a boy. Great name. It is a great name. Thank you very much. That's very nice of you. Um, and here's and here's here's why look. I'll explain why. Aaron, thanks for coming. I'm going to talk about the boy's side. On the boy's side or on my dad's side. The oldest son was named Peter or Frank. So my dad is Frank. His dad is Peter Frank. Peter Frank. Peter is always how it's gone. But Kate and I. Just couldn't name our kid Frank and we told my dad this years ago. Now in hindsight, we should have never had a boy named Peter. We should have never had a boy named Peter. We should have never had a boy named Peter. Save the whole conversation. I could have been like, Don't worry, Dad. Don't worry. You're going to get your Frank. Don't worry. But we I remember we told them. I remember exactly where we were when we told them and we're like, you know, this is just. Our decision. It's nothing personal. But I think I would have gone with Peter to try to keep that going to some degree and at least keep the conversation because we never had one anyway. Dad. How come everybody calls me repeat? You were saying yourself. Oh, you're right. That might have happened. You're trying to do the family thing. I know. I think you're probably better off just cutting the cord or going to the middle names and best I can do. Going to Chris, but I don't know too many seas, man. I got the middle name, right? Yeah, true. Yeah, you know, maybe could have done something like that. But we'll never know. At least we'll know. Yeah, we'll never know. Wait till you're 10 on the show. Yeah, exactly. Ask Mundo anything. All right, Ryan in Kansas City. Go ahead, Ryan. Yes, sir. And hey, besides the DEI aspect of it, why are you still giving air time to antifa Derek up there? Um, you know. Uh, it's up there. No grove. You know, I'd rather listen to Larry's and prayer and he sounds like a regular old white guy and old grove to me. I don't. There's nothing DEI about it. But we give voices to whoever calls in. I promise you. If you have a point. I don't. I never say to John. In nine years, I've never said to John Mark find callers who agree with me. I've never done that. In fact, it's more interesting when someone disagrees. It's a it's a more interesting conversation. So I'm not sure if it's going to be a good conversation. But whether it's going back to the days of Don and Prairie Village or Larry or no Don and lease. Where was Don? Rest is sold blue springs, blue springs, Larry and Prairie Village. I mean, you know, Lisa, some of the different people over the years who have become staple callers of the show. I doesn't matter to me, man. I just want to have a good conversation, and I like the idea of a robust conversation back and forth when someone's disagreeing because it makes you feel like you're going to be in trouble before we get done with the break. Yeah, I know. I know we do put as many on as we can. I mean, it's it's it's open season here, man. I'm not looking for an echo chamber. That's never been my deal. Never real quick. Can I squeeze in one more fast market? No. That was a that was a that was not a very emphatic thumbs up. All right, so I'm going to I'm going to wrap it up. We'll get to if we missed you. I apologize. We'll get to you next week. All right. That was a very half hearted thumbs up conversation, but I'll give you a chance to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give us giveaways to give us a little bit of a giveaways to give Through my example on the field off the field during game day in practice That was one way that I led because they're late success next role isn't about what's next It's about why they do it my man Bobby bones like I've had a lot of stuff happen bad and good And so I don't have any fear of mixing it up.
