Summary

No Laying Up hosts preview the 2026 PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club in Philadelphia, analyzing the course setup, field strength, and contender odds. The discussion covers how modern driving distances may neutralize the classic Donald Ross design, while highlighting favorites like Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, and Cameron Young as top threats.

Insights
  • Modern equipment has fundamentally altered how classic golf courses play—Aronimink's design features may be bypassed by current technology, resulting in shorter approach shots than intended and potentially inflated scoring despite course difficulty efforts
  • Aronimink's 150-yard bin saw 46% of approach shots in 2018; with players now longer, that percentage will likely increase further, reducing the strategic complexity of second shots that define the course's appeal
  • The PGA Championship field is exceptionally deep with multiple viable contenders (Scheffler, McIlroy, Young, Schauffele, DeChambeau), making this a wide-open major where course fit matters less than recent form and mental state
  • Justin Rose's mid-season iron equipment change represents a high-risk decision during major championship season, potentially sacrificing proven iron play for unproven equipment at a course where he has strong historical performance
  • Bryson DeChambeau's feast-or-famine major record (6 top-10s in last 9 starts, but 3 missed cuts) combined with off-course distractions creates uncertainty despite his exceptional PGA Championship-specific track record
Trends
Equipment-driven course obsolescence: Classic designs losing strategic relevance as driving distances outpace course lengthening effortsMajor championship depth: Increased parity among top players (Scheffler, McIlroy, Young, Schauffele all viable) reduces predictability and increases betting value in mid-tier oddsMental health and distraction impact: Off-course factors (media scrutiny, league negotiations, equipment changes) increasingly affecting major championship performance more than raw skillData-driven course analysis: Advanced metrics (strokes gained by distance bin, course fit adjustments) now essential for predicting major championship outcomesPGA Tour vs. LIV Golf performance gap: Players competing primarily on LIV showing measurable decline in major championship performance (Romero, Smith) versus consistent PGA Tour competitorsPutting volatility as differentiator: In tight major fields, week-to-week putting consistency (Young's recent improvement, Kepka's inconsistency) becomes primary separator among similarly skilled ball-strikersHome-course advantage undervalued: Regional proximity (Godwin in Maryland, Rose in Philadelphia) may provide psychological edge underpriced in betting markets

We're going to talk about the contenders, man We're going to talk about the guys who are going to be vying for the Wanamaker trophy this week Up at Aranamake I feel like in some of the previews We've dashed past people a little too quickly So we're going to double click on just where's everybody at What's the state of play for some of these big names Maybe give another couple additional names to keep an eye on But solid first, I think we're going to go through the mink Aranamake country chart We are, I'm going to give a little crash course on Aranamake Assuming you haven't OD'd on Aranamake content leading into this week If you're just now getting caught up This is the first major championship at Aranamake since who won in 1962 Does anyone remember? Gary player I think I said Aranamake country club, by the way, I'd like to issue an immediate man Aranamake golf club First man of many That's a record correction On this preview episode, Donald Ross golf course that opened in 1928 Gil Hans, of course, performed a restoration of the club in 2017 I got a lot of great info from Jeff Shackleford's newsletter here on the golf course I didn't know this prior to reading this though The mink was scheduled to host the 1993 PGA But withdrew because it had a seven year waiting list rendered the club unable to meet non discriminatory requirements It had no minority members And so this in 1990 they had to withdraw And we're going to be unable to host the 1993 PGA championship I was in the wake of the Shaw Creek stuff That was in the wake of the Shaw Creek stuff But several, but Crooked stick was not, was the next one up after that one And it was in the same boat and whatnot, so interesting I knew absolutely none of that But also side note, I learned the 1994 PGA was scheduled to be at Oak tree in Oklahoma But it moved to Southern Hills because of the financial collapse of landmark Lanco That happened relatively short So twice Southern Hills has been called on to host the PGA championship at somewhat last minute Yeah We got a Pete die, deep dive coming You're just kind of sprinkling some of the seeds right there So that's good, there's a lot of Pete die history in those last two sentences So I think we could always move on to Tanglewood if necessary as well How did that, yeah that didn't really get you much capital in that draft that we did, huh? It did, I mean I didn't finish last It, Aronamik of course last hosted a PGA tour event in 2018 It was rain soaked as a Monday finish It was a scoring bonanza, Keegan won it It was not the most memorable week of all time at that championship Unfortunately it hosted the KPMG women's PGA in 2020 Seyoon Kim was the winner of that one And I went back and watched our old video that we did ahead of the 2018 BMW And in that we were like, we said it's getting ready to host the 2027 PGA And I was like, ah what an, we messed that up No, it turns out we didn't It was scheduled to be the 2027 PGA and it got moved in December of 2018 to 2026 To line up with the 250th anniversary of this nation's birthday Wow Indeed here in 2026 That's powerful stuff, Seyoon And that's, I would have thought, you know, but in 2019 is when it moved to May And it would have maybe made sense to have after the birthday, you know, Philadelphia I don't know, this is happening before the nation's 250th birthday now instead of after But we all get the sentiment here I haven't seen a lot of branding around that Yeah, that one snuck past me if I'm being honest It kind of seems like it's just another PGA But you know, happy birthday to America early You know, and hope Aronimic bakes a cake The course is listed at 7,394 yards We'll play at a par 70 Well, he said it was 7,600 yards Okay, well it's 7,394 So you can trust me or Blocky on that So I don't see how they ever get to that yardage There's no scorecard yardage that adds up to that level It is most definitely I remember playing it with you in 2018 and thinking These guys are going to tear this place up At that point it was in nine years, now in eight years But it was soaked and they just took it to its knees I imagine it'll be a little bit firmer this week But that was my thought eight years ago And I don't think that's changed We're going to get there Yeah, maybe it'll be a little firmer But I'm just not really banking on that Don and Ross loved this golf course There's a plaque there on I believe the first tee Or near the 18th grade I forget exactly where it is at Aronimic With a quote from Ross that says I intended to make this my masterpiece But not until today did I realize I built better than I knew Even I didn't realize how good I was I love it You guys see this place? How do I do this? So, Dave, do you guys want to start broad on it Or do you want to get into some of the whole specifics? Let's start broad If somebody's coming in, you know, they're only tuning in for the majors Set the table for them What can we expect this week? Can we not call it the mink? I hate it so much I thought you glossed at the mink Aron, the A-A-ron I thought we were doing that tongue in cheek Yeah, it's so bad that it's good I think that's what it is I think that's right It's like a the Srawl or Congo Or, you know, any of those places The foot I think if I was to speak broadly about Aronimic It's so much of what I love about golf It is a classically designed golf course Donal Ross golf course restored by one of my favorite current architects Of course, Gil Hance Masterfully restored, if you will Massive greens, undulating greens Tons of land movement A lot of cool stuff going through it A dream course to play Like if you could play this course every day A dream course to be a member It just has so many great cool features Just a lot to love If I had to speak broadly on this though I have the feeling from watching footage And from watching professional golf over the last decade A lot of what I do love about this place Is likely to be bypassed by the current state of technology I don't want to talk about that all week I think this is going to make us be the bad guys If I was to predict what's about to happen But do I think what makes Aronimic special Is going to be on the best display at the PGA championship And what kind of test it provides these guys I'd be very surprised if that was the case Because we're going to get into some of the shot breakdowns Of this golf course And what guys are likely to be hitting into a lot of these greens Despite five or six holes being lengthened Since we last saw it in 2018 And I think that's going to be a great opportunity To get into the tournament And I just don't think it's going to necessarily hold up Does that mean we're going to have a bad week? No, does that mean we're going to have a bad championship And it's not going to be an enjoyable tournament? No, but I don't think Aronimic is going to be a star In terms of the challenge it proposed I think it's going to look pretty, it's going to be beautiful And there's still a lot to love with it But I don't think it's going to punch these guys in the face Yeah, I think a lot of it's probably out of the hands Of the tournament organizers, right? Is it going to stay dry? Are we going to miss any of the rain? Are we going to be firm? Are we going to get some wind? It's kind of like what you hear us say On a lot of these golf courses I'm with you just kind of doing some research Looking at photos, watching videos Friday I had a great video Kind of going into the details of the golf course And some of the philosophy of the design And the restoration It's just, it all sounds great Until you kind of get to like Friday afternoon Of one of these events It's like, oh yeah, it doesn't seem to really matter They're just kind of blown it over all that stuff Or whatever And then you get into kind of are they going to grow up the rough And try to keep You know, try to keep scores down Which, yeah, it just ends up being The same conversation that we have at a lot of PGA championships But I still, to everything you said In your preamble there is like I think it's going to be great, it's in a great city It's a great field, we've got a lot of people playing Great golf at the moment I think it's going to all add up to a great Sunday And a great back nine And it's a matter of kind of what it's like On the way there, I guess TCU, I remember walking with you When you were playing in the pro-amb with Kevin Kisner At the BMW 2018, I was like, what do you think about this place And he was just like, it's a nightmare for me Like all the bunkers are exactly where I want to hit it And the example he uses was Dustin Johnson Doesn't have to think about any of these bunkers Which Kind of stuck out to me in terms of like What kind of golf course is this going to favor And you know We only have data from one tournament eight years ago ago and it was rain so weak and it's kind of hard to draw from that and it didn't jump off the page as Driving distance is going to rule the day here, but with this one again looking at all the flyovers And having been there in person and experience the tournament there I don't see much of any reason for guys to not pull driver on Almost all of the the par fours and obviously all the par fives like I just don't think there's a ton of thought That's going to go into that could be could be wrong on that maybe some of the bunker punishments off the tee are going to be stronger than what I'm anticipating, but I Think it's going to be a bombers delight Not it's not long enough that it you have to like it's not a driver prerequisite to hit the ball far But at the same time like I don't see anything stopping any of the long bombers from using their power to the best of their ability Yeah, we might get a little bit of wind looked like maybe 15 to 20 mile an hour gusts and good weather for the most part warming up into the weekend so maybe a little bit more to think about on that front but I'm with you. I think the It should be a good canvas for the thoroughbreds to just duke it out, right? I'd like the the BMW in in 2018 bang or leaderboard Keegan with the exception of Keegan Keegan Justin Rose Horshal Xander Rory Web Simpson Tiger Molinari Finaw Fleetwood Fowler Woodland JT So which not only thoroughbreds, but great iron players as well, right? Like not necessarily on that list and again this this goes to set up and what they'll what they'll end up doing with rough and all that Stuff but could end up being like an ultra second shot golf course too, which I think gets into some of the the interesting stuff You'll see kind of publicized about the bunkers particularly on you know Again, the Friday video was great in showing a lot of this stuff off in that Ross was usually very minimal with his Bunkers, you know, it was usually a pretty pretty simple not easy type of Bunker setup this one has a lot of like one bunker split up into three parts or four parts Which leaves that cool strip in between the bunkers where you might catch some variability of a ball that otherwise would have landed Right in the middle of a bunker fault, you know fell down to the middle Instead getting stuck up on a strip of rough or you know just some added kind of texture around the greens and on some of the landing Zones for the tee shot so Yeah, big greens with small targets, you know, which is a great part of These types of classic golf courses and if you get some firmness and some wind It can be really really great And if you don't it can it can be a lot of a lot of people looking like good iron players So we'll see which one we get well here's here's the most pessimistic and most damning thing I've found about the second shot narrative that you that you just Layed out their DJs in 2018. There was a massive decrease from shots played in the 150 to 175 Yard bucket and the 175 to 200 yard bucket like mid-iron play was greatly reduced at this golf course There's a little bit of an increase between 200 and 225 yards because of three of the par Threes are in that in that area three of the four par threes are in that area But it there's a massive increase like 45 almost 46% of the shots of the 2018 BMW We're played from 150 yards and in and there's some extra length added to this golf course But players have gotten a lot longer since 2018 to the point where like you go look on data golf at the predictive approach Bins by player like Rory is expected to have 6.7 approaches between a hundred and 150 yards Which is up a shot and a half per round per usual and he's expected to have only 3.6 approaches between 150 and 200 which is down from 6.2 almost three shots less per round in like a more interesting approach bracket Then the shorter one so and All of these features on these greens which make them special make a lot more sense coming in from farther away than they will from up Close and that's the part I'm worried about like unless it is massively firm and windy there's no nothing stopping these guys from getting after any whole location they want to get after and Again, that's could make for some exciting birdie runs and some low scores But you know the four-day watching window of Second shot test. I just don't know if we're gonna get that. I don't know. Yeah, it's good. That's a that's a good illustration We'll see hopefully doesn't play out that way, but that's good to be aware of see that's the thing I'm not I feel pretty good about like I'm not gonna think it's one thing and then be disappointed when it's another thing Okay, I don't want the listeners Man, it's gonna be the PGA, you know, I don't want them to say like you guys hype this golf course up so much and they're Got making a ton of birdies like it's a great golf course and they're gonna make a ton of birdies That's my that's my expectation. So if you'll allow me, I'll go through so I'll go through all the holes at varying length It's not gonna be a massive lit massive. Sorry real quick to like the BMW. They played it as a par 70 It was still 20 under par right winning score Are you are are you all right with what you're hearing Randy? Is this getting you excited for the PGA? Not necessarily I think what resonated the most was just I'm trying to have proper expectations this week If it can produce an interesting leaderboard come Sunday that that will be what I need from it my My proper test eggs are in the Shinnecock. Yes, basket later on I'm not expecting that from a rod Randy the I think you were you were curious until you heard Sally's commentary about the bins the various You know, we're gonna go through some of our picks here. I was not looking at the different bins. I yeah We're gonna do more of an eye test analysis here, DC You're making me want to look up speed speeds wedge play See how we're looking for my man's great slave chances Look, I've been on big garage Organization trip Randy get stuff get stuff in bins helps you get organized. Okay, that's that's my thinking Front nine a lot easier than the back nine from from what I'm anticipating would played easier in 2018 as well played easier for both TC And I when we both broke 80 from the back to you see her in 2018 when we Opens with four straight par fours the longest of which is only 457 yards. So kind of along that start long of that theme It is Gonna be a lot of wedges in the early half of it first highlight is the fifth hole a Listed as 171 yard par three. It's got a massive undulating green It's one to definitely watch the pin placements on you can birdies will probably be hard earned here You can hide the pin in a lot of different spots on this one But I would expect a lot of people to be hitting this green So it's a massive green and they'll have a relative short iron into this one, but we'll be a It's okay for you to cook a little bit this week. Well, I get in the kitchen and that thing. Yeah, exactly I think they're gonna have to that's gonna be I think I think it everything I've said will lead to a starting out the week of like we're not We're not making easy pins like the pins are gonna be difficult. Yeah, you think scary Terry puts his thumb on the scale for Championship excellence Carrie Hague It says hey we can ask him that this week. We'll be have his presser here coming up this week Do they even have to put the pin on the green? I think those are the questions We should be asking at these types of PGA's can they move it just off the green, you know? Take that offline These sixth and seventh holes a couple more short fours 402 yards and 431 yards some interesting kind of bends and Developments in those holes the eighth. I hate I hesitate to call signature hole, but somewhat of a signature hole It's a 242 yard downhill part 3 it'll be a familiar spot They're gonna show a lot of that whole I have imagined because it the green almost connects there with the 10th green There's just a small strip of fringe in between those two greens But I think it's gonna be a pace of play log jam in this location as they try to hold out on two greens right next to each Other but great place to watch some golf if you are attending this week That's one thing with this venue too It seems like an absolutely excellent place to watch some golf especially the way the ninth ninth and 18 holes Come back to clubhouse and run parallel to each other. What will you call on them to remove this trip? Sorry? between the screens I Will not just because it's gonna be a rule, you know There's there's probably some rules issue of being on the wrong green and not to call the rule They don't make any decisions on the road So this trip is fine. We're gonna let this one go The ninth is the first par 5 it's 605 yards plays back uphill to the clubhouse about I want to tell about half the field could get in the vicinity of the green When they had the tee all the way back in in 2018 again players are longer now than they were then I would imagine that 6-0 5 Still this is gonna be a reachable par 5 for most players in the field Back nine a little bit more teeth in this one back and I started with a long par 4 longish I guess the longest so far at 472 yards, but again plays downhill. It's got a small pond that sits short left of this green I don't know Nikolai Hoygard hit a 9 iron into a 540 yard par 4 yesterday So I don't know if you know if there are long par 4s anymore, but The 11th is one of the feature holes it's 425 yard par 4 It's got a dramatic perched up green surrounded by a bunch of bunkers more than 20 bunkers alone on this hole Got a big runoff short right of the green It's gonna eat up anything that has too much spin on that side of the green Again a lot more going on visually than I think is gonna come into play for these guys as I don't think this is a lot of the bunkers will not be in play and they're gonna have a wedge into this green and The cross bunkers and short bunkers just aren't gonna see a lot of traffic this week Sorry, this is where the course started to get interesting from what I remember is like when it gets back to that Back corner back third of the property It was it was really good back there because it's canted enough and I thought the first Four or five holes were pretty awkward and then it just makes its way back to the clubhouse And you don't really get to the best stuff until until you really get to 11 and onward Yeah, you get the majority of the harder holes like the The second hardest hole the third the fourth the fifth and the sixth all on the back nine eight played as the hardest hole in 2018 But yeah, the all of the next hardest holes are all on the back nine and all kind of coming in this stretch That's the 12th is a 466 yard par four and then 13 is a hole We're probably gonna see a fair amount of this 385 yard par four They are planning I believe to make it drivable on one of the days built a new tee to move it up even even closer to like 300 year or tea or something right they did build a new tee on this one and They they brought the OB I was watching the Friday video. They brought the OB in very close This is old footage from 2018 but you can see they'll be there in kind of the The the wispy area just short left of the green is gonna be considered out of bounds So very not far from from the green is gonna be some out of bounds It will add a little a little risk reward if guys are trying to go for it on the days. It's moved up kind of like it's sick Yeah, anything that matters and it's all we have left TC I don't know what other tools we have in the toolbox of besides OB and if it's like I guess the downside would be Hopefully it doesn't stop people from going for it, but man if you're pushing it up around, you know, 300 320 yards Man, I don't know I think that you have to you have to have some downside Like that to at least make it somewhat interesting if that causes everybody to not go for it then so be it But we got to have some some risk I think I'd like it more if that if that like shitty long grass was in play and you hit it there And you're totally boned and you got to find a way to hold it from there versus like if it leads to everyone bailing Right and the up and downs are relatively easy. Sure. That's not gonna be a good thing I also would be surprised if that would be the case. I would think that they thought about that So I guess you'd have to move it Yeah, you'd have to put the tee like jammed up in that front right corner on the day when the Or sorry the pin yes up in that front right corner when the tee is moved up I would I would think so make it as inaccessible as possible from if you bail. Yeah for the right you bail Would make sense. It's scary. Carrie The 14th 216 yard par 3 again kicks off this difficult finishing stretch We get our real big the the meaty par 4 is the 15th. It's 546 yards the fairway tilts hard from right to left It has been moved back 40 yards from the last time we saw it it it was 516 Then it was the fifth hardest hole in 2018 punch bowl style green That Gilhans weird that they're moving these tees back if guys aren't hitting farther. I know I can't really quite figure it out But this is what they took the trees out so Jay-Z said that's that's why Big massive green here the Gilhans has restored And has a punch bowl effect into this one so even as a longer par 4 This is a green that is gonna funnel a lot of balls This is a cool hole Even on you mentioned the slopes there too, but that's the other the other big thing I remember from walking around this golf course is just uneven lies You know slopes that run right left on a hole left right on a hole hangers balls above your feet Like there should be some interesting stuff from from that perspective to Shout out to speed We'll get there 16 par 5 it's only 10 yards longer. It's only been moved back a little bit's 555 This was the easiest hole in 2018 and almost certainly will be the easiest hole On not quite gimme birdie opportunity, but as close as you're gonna see in a major championship final three hole stretch On this par 5 I get down with that 16th hole getable 16 is like that's that's a great a great 10 pole for a golf course You know back nine is I mean it's it tells a story like I Again, I was I think the front nine is gonna be pretty point and shoot And back nine are some things you still got to navigate because we get to 17 as well 229 yards over water and anything kind of short left is gonna funnel down into the water on that hole And that's a that's a solid ball buster of like dude. It's not you cannot coast in Like 17 Valhalla was an afterthought Driving the fairway bunker hit a little lob waging or whatever Xander did And that's not gonna be the case here. There's gonna be so many Valhalla drive by I Guess they're in the running again. We got it. We got a ramp back. I was gonna entire Valhalla Brady how's Valhalla grow the game? Do we need to talk about that? I would love maybe we'll carve that out at the back of this episode Doubt officer Gillis is as much of a golfer might have said that might have shrunk the game And finally 18 490 yard par 4 this is up 20 has gone back 27 yards across a road trees trees cool just cool setting here, you know bunkers that kind of cut into the fairway Just a proper proper ball buster finisher here as well again third hardest hole in 2018 and now is playing longer I would I would guess this is gonna be Quite a quite a difficult hole so that in summary the fifth hole is 11 yards longer 7 is 36 yards longer 10 is 28 yards longer 15 is 30 yards longer and 18 is 27 yards longer It's about 150 yards Longer than we last saw it in 2018 so effectively it'll play about four or 500 yards shorter I would say that was because I don't think that has kept up with driving distances over the last eight years Raise is not not convinced her with inflation, but it's another one of those courses that there's not much more They could I don't know even how they found the yards they did Yeah, I literally out loud over there. I was like, how are they gonna host a major championship here in almost a decade And again, who knows like I'm always very bad at predicting the score and they do a pretty good job of suppressing it when they when they need to and pulling all the right levers, but For the Iranic members, I mean this they're hosting one PGA championship over the course like going back to this 2017 Renovation, you know, it's it's one week out of out of nine years here that they got to play for I Looks like an absolutely delightful place to play golf So I that's where I'm like even if if the score is 22 under this week Like I don't know I feel like the Iranic people should be should be stoked that they have a golf course. It's fun to play above all And I'd still rather logistics could get tough I think it's it's a pretty like not the easiest course to get to either. I think there's I think the ingress egress is gonna be it's gonna be difficult From that side, I still remember that from the BMW of like it was a logistical kind of puzzle to put together You know to your point Sally like not a lot of space on site for stuff You got to shuttle people and you got to have all sorts of shuttle. So we'll see it on that front, too so anyways, that's my that's my that's my course review of One other note, it's only a hot only 350 yards longer than when they played it at the 1962 PGA championship But again, sorry, like I don't know. I mean, yeah, you should see where they put the 18th tee now and And how awkward it sits now, but it's gonna look on to I'd rather you know Again, it's like a way gonna be a way more entertaining golf course I think then Valhalla, which was also a birdie fest like the route of getting there is still better Yeah, and and I think I'm okay with that How far back solid you have to go where like You're more excited for a run aming like last year. They played at quail. Hollow. I think give me a run aming You know quail. Hollow is just over saturated Valhalla 24 How would you compare it to like Oak Hill in your level? Interesting, I looked at this because I think the parallels there are you know, it's obviously that's a Donald Ross golf course as well Andrew Green did Oak Hill versus Gil doing going doing a run amic. Oh kills got more teeth The the a run amic only has two par fours over four 75 Oak Hill had four of those The median par four length that Oak Hill was about four hundred sixty yards here. It's only four hundred forty four The par threes are longer here But the par fives way shorter about 40 yards shorter at a run amic just because of the 555 one the Oak Hill par fives We're all over 600 yards So that Oak Hill felt like it a proper fit and a proper test and not the most exciting golf course But just felt like it was better equipped to host a PGA than this is I wouldn't call it a better golf course But better at standing up to the current men's professional game Then I then I think this would be but it's that's a good question because I It's still up like I PGA courses as documented not great I think I'd have to go back to Southern Hills Southern Hills Yeah, the most excited that I've been for one in the twenty-twenty I would put this underneath Oak Hill underneath Southern Hills, but ahead of quail hollow ahead of all halla. Yeah Keawa was pretty cool In 21 as well. So but definitely the best of the last three years raining that answers your question. Okay. Yeah. Yeah, that's good That's good, but you know, it's you know In I'd be it's curious, you know What what what some of these runs would look like if the PJ was in August and not held in spring But it is in spring in spring is kicked into full gear and row back has you covered just absolutely Slaying they keep coming out with new products our closets are overflowing But I still can't get enough of this on my favorite is the rowbacks lightweight looper short I don't know if you guys have tried this yet. It is so sneaky It looks like a golf short, but it is basically like Jim short material It is great to wear around the house But like when I just want to go sneak over to the golf course and get a quick 30 minute range session in I don't have to change Like it just serves both functions very well It's only based on your your recent video. I don't I don't think you change anyway, right? You're wearing sweatpants out there It was filmed at 815 in the evening everyone the haters can haters can taste it here But it's got a real button and fly and and it's it's a it's a very nice pair of shorts They just drop boxers as well. I'm not gonna show you those. I'm not gonna model those for you But they are very very comfortable. They're made out of the same materials their performance polos The great for the golf course on a hot day. They bring you everyday comfort as well Lastly the rowback tailwind sports shirt if you're looking to impress the lady in your life wear a tailwind sports shirt It's soft, but lightweight. It's it's it's fantastic. It's wonderful. You should try it out rowback.com Alright Joe BAC K comm use code and I'll use 20% off your first order through the end of the week That's the Aronimic recap that took a little longer than I was expecting But I feel sufficiently prepared to dive in here for the PGA championship preview glories last shot, baby That's right. We're new con glories last chance. Yeah Yeah, well, let's get into let's get into the board a little bit the field a couple a couple quick quick hitter stats I don't know if you guys realize this Americans have won the last 10 PGA's I don't know kind of what that says about American golf the setups at PGA championships It's just a it's an interesting either marketing hook if they're looking for America's major Quick pop pop quiz. Can you tell me who the last non-American was to win? Oh He's got it. I feel like I was Edo Pereira I got it right, but you guys didn't hear him Jason day it whistling straight 2015 Also the first PGA since 1992 without Tiger and Phil story that we talked about at the Masters You got to go back to the time last time that happened Tiger was 16 years old Which is just just bananas to think about I don't think it was a huge deal at the Masters I don't think it'll be a huge deal this week, but you know, we're shouting out It feels like the guard has been changed. Yeah, like we were going through the changing of the guard and Excuse me, it's changed. Are you choked up? I was a little bit We mentioned it last night, but Phil with his WD means Max homo gets in the field So, you know win for for the NLU podcast nation there But other than that Randy, I think we're just gonna go kind of player by player down the odd sheet a little bit Give a little overview anything people may have missed a little update what's been going on And of course, we're gonna start at the top with your guy your favorite player going off at plus 440 the overwhelming Favorite these were pulled this morning Via Fandall so apologies if any of these have moved odd subject to change Randy. What's going on with Scotty Schaeffler? Scotty Schaeffler Here's the first tip if anybody has not, you know, it's not been paying attention Scotty's pretty good and the further you dive into the numbers and the performance like It's kind of a joke man. I feel like Legitimately will be shocked if Scotty doesn't finish top 10 this week like he just I know we all we say at time again His floor is so so high. So let me let me go down some of the the numbers and said Performances he currently leads the tour strokes gain total. He's up over two on the season His worst finish worst finish this year is tied for 24th, you know, I can remember a couple months ago We were talking about What's wrong with Scotty? What's what's been happening like through that all his very worst tournament is at T24? He's got six of the nine events. He's played. He's got six top four finishes on tour this year Okay, he's got one win His last three starts have all been runner-up finishes and if you drill in a little bit more I think everybody will remember that Friday at Augusta where Scotty had shot a pretty good Thursday I think 70 I want to say in tough conditions at Augusta and it lightened up a little bit Friday And he was not able to take advantage. I believe he bogeyed both par fives He shot 74 on that day since that round. Okay, since that round He's played 10 more rounds of competitive golf his stroke average is 67.4 So he's just he's he's really good Aroneming specifically if you go by the data golf kind of course fit adjustment it gives him even a Point one zero strokes gain boost overall this week at Aroneming so Yeah, not that he needs any help and then let me just again. I don't think you can overstate What we're seeing here. So let's just go through his his major performances as of the last few years He won his first major in 2022 at the Masters Okay, that next week he missed the cut at the PGA not the next week the next major He missed the cut at the PGA championship. Okay Including that Masters in his last 17 majors now. He has four wins three runner-ups two other top fives for other top tens and four non top 20 finishes only the one missed cut which was that first PGA after winning his first Masters The PGA championship specifically might be his best major Maybe his most consistent aside from that miss cut He's gone going back to his first start t4 t8 t2 t8 and he won last year at Quail Hollow He won by five at Quail Hollow. He had a dominant 65 I have to think when we start getting beyond just the stats and performances, you know, Rory winning His second green jacket his sixth overall major. I gotta feel Scotty is Motivated right? I think he's got something to prove and somebody to chase now A win this week would be Scotty's fifth major He's still 29 years old. I just you know any way you slice it Scotty's just really good and he's gonna be in the mix. I'd be shocked if he's not in the mix His last major before turning 30 as well, which I think is relevant This was I think in the ESPN. I think ESPN research had this but it was Make him the fourth player with five majors before turning 30 Tiger Jack and Bobby Jones would be the other people on that list. So His friends called him Bob. You're exactly right. He's a Atlanta man like yourself He was fitting. I mean, he's so he's so good Yeah, I got no good enough to quibble with their big hunters got a cooperate, right? Well, I feel like we're in the era of like You almost tried to like invent a reason to pick someone else Like you steer out of your way to pick sky and then you get booed if you pick Scotty to win a major But it's like, well, why why? Why wouldn't you pick him or joking about it on slack earlier where it's like you're just squinting for kind of a like I don't know this guy's not he doesn't have his foot on the gas You know, it's like you look at his recent finishes like second second second like yeah, I guess he's still playing pretty good They got plenty of good Italian restaurants. That's right So we're not gonna have any reason to make any ravioli at all exactly exactly love that leave it to the Pro way from the the Newton PD. I guess that's right. Yeah, I heard driver and It should be all good All right, anything else on Scotty or should we move keep moving? Scotty's good. You heard it here first. You print that shit TC Rory is going off at 850 you were you were sticking up for Rory as you know in the in the whole top three conversation Give me give me the case. What's good. What's going on? Yeah? I was a little bit more bullish on Rory before last week I didn't didn't chip it well last week. He was pretty mediocre around the greens at quail hollow Uh Putting was pretty much average But otherwise he was it was the Rory that we've come to expect the biggest concern I have as far as Rory goes is the absolute slop fest that this tournament was in 2018 would have been prime for old Rory old Rory. Yeah, you know and and so I was a little bit Concerned there just with he kind of laid an egg in that final round he Um He shot to under Lost to Keegan by two. He was he was two back that final round Keegan shot 64 or shot 68. So No, I mean, I think you know in this place You wonder about the Masters hangover. He seems very Motivated I think this is the kind of major that he needs to knock off if he is gonna get to his stated goal of Sounds like ten Majors at this point is you know, he like he needs to get some I don't want to call them cheap ones, but some Some lower friction ones some some more efficient transactions on some PGA's like this Think he's his PGA record has not been Stellar the last few years. He has not had a t5 in a PGA since 2018 That's kind of jarring right? Yeah shocking You know, of course, he's got he's got two of these but so does JT, right? Uh, so I think he needs to needs to step it up in this department win himself another PGA Uh, and I don't know. I think I think rory It's a great golf course for him and in the way that like most PGA tour golf courses are great golf courses for him It's it's just like cool like you hit your driver farther than everybody else and that's a true weapon And if your putter cooperates and you hit your wedge as well, like You're going to be there on sunday, and then it's just a matter of making making some pots. So Uh, I think plus 850 feels very very fair for rory At the moment, there's a very easy to make a very bullish case just based on the golf course that like this should It's driver flip wedge for him everywhere like everywhere like why wouldn't he be in contention? I guess the flip side would be like all right. Yes We've seen him turnover and against all odds an entirely new leaf and master august the national Right. That's the major he's been able to put in the rear view and now bag two of these but You go back to the pga championship instead of you know 50 contenders there's More than that. Yeah, I don't know how many exactly contenders that are for the pga, but it's a full 156 man field Uh, you know and a and a golf course that's gonna You know it's going to be a little harder to separate yourself on that you just there's you got to be massively on And that's a different pressure and we you know after winning the masters last year He didn't really maintain that through the rest of the majors. So but at the same time like you look at this course And just like yeah, I don't know how you would ever finish outside the top five this week Yeah, it's it's a fun one because it's we've talked about this, you know now for a lot of majors really going back to LACC and and some of those u.s. Opens where rory just looked like a different Type of pitcher instead of a thrower and he just you know has gotten so much better at some of the The uh variety of the game and then could spin control and flighting things and all all of those things you need to do To win it like very very proper golf courses and it's it's so fun that Everything you just said about iranumink and how good of a course fit it is if you're coming into this year And you're like what's a better fit for rory iranumink or uh, shinacock I'd almost be like I kind of like my shinacock just based on The way that his game is trending But also like that's just kind of in comparison to the rest of the field Like everything that he does well is still going to be massively rewarded Almost i'm like it's almost like the floor is higher. I guess at on a week like this, which I think is what's getting me pretty pumped about at least sunday of this week is man, there's Like scottie is pre approved to be in the top 10 going into sunday rory is pre approved to be in the top 10 Going to say bryce is probably going to be up there rom might be up there cameron young is probably like It just seems like it makes a lot of sense for a lot of the big Horses, which I think makes for fun golf to watch on tv rory's a little under two to one for a top five finish including ties Right now. Um feels right. Yeah. Yeah, and I think I could see rory, you know, like you wonder like can rory get up for this one, right? Like it feels a little like he's I think shenna cock you get up for that's got that sense of place. I think burkedale you get up for for an open I don't know if this one's got like quite rises to that like it sits kind of between a players and and the next You know major I think It's it's kind of in like a little class of its own but uh, I could see rory wanting to you know, stand up there and shove it to the PGA of america too after after the rider cuff last year don re D sprig the gang keegan things of that nature Have to wait to treat it. I didn't thought of that feels very fucking satisfying Should can I make I can I make the sports radio case? Oh hell? Yeah, it's too short. You think it's really fair to go ride him? No, like what if this is too much of a pga tour event for him and and my guy You know, obviously two wins at the masters carrying a lot of weight low key And then you throw on the players, which is another big tournament But when we're talking about like run of the mill pga tour events, my guy hasn't been winning a lot of them the last couple years I just It's it's interesting. Maybe he can't get up for it tc. I love that I'm saying this tongue in cheek, but you just look at the sheer amount of wins Scotty like compared to rory and it and it you know, it is pretty striking But it is let's say part of the case wins are carrying a lot of a lot of weight for him Part of the bear case too is like quail is your golf course, man And didn't put up much of a fight this past weekend, but you know, we covered that last week Had the left to right win on the range That's right. Hasn't one of pga in 12 years like come on. That's what we got to be I expect that's what the philly fans are calling it. Meanwhile, we got randy shitting all over fleetwood and ludwig for finishing You know top top 10 or top 12. That's right. What rory laid an egg? Uh, we'll keep moving a guy that uh, I'm going to go ahead and say this is another good course fit for for my guy Going off at 12 to 1 is Cameron Young Uh, just to you know, it's happened it's happened quick Uh, that he's he's just barnstormed into this. I am one of the three maybe two maybe one best players in the world Uh, at the moment, uh, just to kind of Double click on how fast that happened. Give me what do you guys think his odds were at the pga last year? Again, they're 12 12 to one Yeah, I was gonna say up around 70 70 252 to one Holy Shit last year. He had the same odds. Uh, as long as the odds I was pulling were correct He had the same odds as thorbjorn olasin sam stevens tom hoagy Taylor mormax grazerman bud collie nicolas norgaard things of that nature Uh, chris goder up in matt fits patrick the only players that have made bigger OWGR jumps than cam since since then and obviously they had a lot a lot more to jump So you've mentioned this a hundred times, uh, since switching the golf ball He's played 16 events. Uh, his average finish in those 16 events is 13th Meaning he is just averaging a top 15 finish now. That's normal golf For him boat race the field at derau went in by six Three wins since switching those golf balls. I love this note from shackleford. Uh, you mentioned the long par threes Out here a lot of them over 210 yards. Who do you think leads the part the pj tour in par three scoring? That's cam young Watch watch out for that Uh, the other massive breakthrough the putter right which really turned turned a corner, uh, at this kind of this point last year I pulled this one if you look at his putting from 2022 to 2024 like through 2024 He was negative 0.07 strokes gained as a putter now. He is since the beginning of 2025 He's plus 0.55 so essentially two strokes a tournament, uh, just with the putter I am haunted by what we saw last week He did tc. He did lose more than five shots yesterday Uh on the greens. He talked about I think that was it was a speed control issue. He was he was struggling with so Uh, we'll see but the the turnaround from like, uh, you know, I know kody can uh, this is going to resonate with kody from a This guy has no chance to even fucking hit the hole on this putt to now like Since the beginning of 2025 he's like the ninth best putter on tour just Going on strokes gained and then you add to that just like a weapons grade Driver and world-class iron play and uh, it's it's all added up to a bunch of trophies and a bunch of dough So, uh, it seems to uh, it seems to be like he's He's in pretty good spot to uh to take advantage Bit of a disappointing record in in the pgas. You remember him finishing third probably at uh at southern hills during that great 2022 season that he had but then miss the cut at oak hill t63 of alhalla t47 at quill hollow a bunch of places that You know, if we replayed him like I I think I'd be saying all the same things I'm saying about him now, but uh places he probably should have taken a little more advantage of But he has been a big game hunter in the majors, you know, randy you you shouted this out with scottie But since the beginning of that of 2022 you've got those 17 majors since the beginning of 2022 cams finished in the top 10 40% of those Uh scottie's finished at the top that's 75% of those Uh, but he's got more top 10s than rom more top 10s than like a very good player like justin rose say, um, there's another good stat I think this was an espn one two Only three players that have had a major top 10 every year since 2022 and that is very fittingly scottie rory cam young so my closing case called tommy a big game hunter for getting top 10s and majors You guys would be all over me and we're calling cam young a big game hunter I probably said that multiple times though Yeah, I don't know Yeah, I think you have said it the problem is like Yeah, if we if we went into just 50 more of these majors with this type of hype and and he still hadn't won one I think that would be a valid A valid complaint. Let's just eight top 10s and 42 majors for tommy flea. Let's let's let's let's let's calm the big game hunter discussion Well, how many is it? Cam's got seven and 19. Yeah, I mean he's got eight and 42. Let's just get that out there right now Also, I might have been wrong. I might have pulled the odds from the wrong the wrong place Because he's got me spooked that he was 50 to one going into the last pga never got 150 to one on sports odds history Your odds your odds may vary. It's a marketplace. It's a total marketplace Uh, so I guess my my closing case. He's he's 29 He's played in a shitload of these Already like enough of these to to be comfortable. He seems very comfortable in his own skin I think I think he seems very comfortable playing good ass golf Right now, you know, it doesn't seem like the game's moving too fast or there's any kind of like, oh, how did this happen? It just feels like it's clicking and uh, the time is now. So, you know Scotty and rory are also playing great golf. It's going to be uh, Hard to to beat the final bosses there But I think cam is a It worthy awesome compliment to that that three-headed monster that we got going in in pro golf right now I I for one couldn't be happier about it. I think he's in the three-headed monsters. I don't think he's a compliment to the three Well, he's he's a complimentary piece of the three of the three He was the number one player in the world at A very specific time this weekend He's since oh, that's right. You know, he's since Friday evening or saturday saturday Saturday, yeah What what keeps him from from contending this week? Does anybody want to anyone want to take the bear case or are we all the same bitch? If he just doesn't have a good yeah, I got it the putter done show up. I guess yeah I've got nothing He's gonna be there man. He's I think so too. He's uh, very very very good This is truly gonna be one of these weeks where like the guys It's gonna be a great leaderboard people are gonna be like see a ronamink like maybe the best championship test ever Like, you know, it just it it gave us this leaderboard kind of like a belrive scenario. Sure. Yeah What would you say to the haters? I have no retort for that Uh, solly, what's going on with a rombo? Yeah, how did you get cam and I got stuck with rom here? Shad on for there God, you love rom. I just called cam young the second best player in the world and all you it's you're the rom guy You gotta I thought rom was a dog though. I was and a dude. Yeah, dude. Yeah rom's still a dude We'll see actually I listen, I'm not really being held hostage by a rival golf league Dude He's taking quote. There's no way. There's no way out He's locked in the basement right now business. You might be a pawn Uh, I'm I'm not ready to write off john rom yet. He's still very very very good at golf. Um Uh, let me get through this his worst finish this year on live is t8, which was last week Uh, he has three runner-ups and two wins otherwise and a fifth in singapore But solly, you said the live events don't count for anything. They don't all right. That's fine. They don't That it's still like they still mean nothing to me other than the fact that he hasn't lost his game Like it's not like john rom is lost. He is not on a cam smith career path. He's not on a nemen path He's not like falling back into the winners. He's still playing good golf. I totally forgot about nemen Yeah, good remember this time last year, but it's just like is he the best player in the world? So I thought him better than scottie. Yeah Sorry, it was right about everything remember that one Uh It he's still he still Has signs of being the player that he that he's always been the question is can you just show up and put your best golf Out there when you only play four important important tournaments a year So far the answer that has been no like just three top tens in majors since he left for live He's averaging. He was averaging an 18th place finish in the majors prior to live He's now averaging a 29th place finish sense like it's been a clear decrease in performance around the majors I I just don't see the mink asking rom any uncomfortable questions Like this this style of golf is pretty close to what he's encountering on a on a every day every week basis and I Interview for the mink. Yeah, he it's a media arlo whites asking the questions this week. Okay, so I think he's gonna be okay. I just don't see uh, I he absolutely can win this tournament I think it would be foolish to say otherwise um Is worth noting he is a one of the unique top players in the world that um He in majors he performs slightly worse than he does in regular tournaments Compared to some names that we're gonna bring up later, which might surprise you It's it's not a drastic difference. He goes down to a 2.0 strokes game player from 2.19 Uh in majors to regular events, but dude like I mean being about who is definitely dude like so, uh, yes It it it's I'm still holding firm on rom being a dude uh, but It it's I I this has been a bad run in majors I do not think major championship competition is over for john rom and I will I'm gonna I'm gonna be on that It would take three more years of playing like this before I'd be willing to back off of that. I think Here's what I don't love about rom. Okay, sorry No, no, no, no, please please. Yeah three. I was with you until you said three years. Oh my god. That's a long time I get sucks. Like yeah, I was gonna say I think it's a good time to buy Rom I think rom's a distressed asset you should you should be buying right now Distressed dude He's a distressed dude a dude in distress He definitely looks like a dude distressed with a lot of these interviews I'm skeptical. So you mentioned can he show up like Let's let's set aside media Questions he's asked the current state of live and his contract with live Like he has not shown an ability to show up at majors and play his best golf Before all this news broke. I just don't think he is In a position Mentally to show up with all of that going on with the questions he's gonna be asked And to just go out and beat a field of scottie cheffler rory cam young Whoever else, uh, I'm very very bearish on john rom this week I think that's that's the whole deal Exactly, uh, should be sick Yeah, it's I'm with you rany that like I don't know if you can win the biggest events when you're gripping the bat the tightest Right is like that that's Which was kind of that's what the money's for right like that's what he was signing up for is you you got to see that Common but yeah, man. He's got four chances He's he's a smart enough guy and a Self-aware enough guy to know which tournaments matter and which don't and I just don't know how you can read everything You just said soli is anything other than just Showing up and putting like a ton of pressure on himself What it matters the most but so if if this was shinacock or augusta You know that we're going up into I might feel differently than I do Now right I just I don't think there's gonna be enough barriers in his way like enough weight places He can screw it up that I you know what I mean like I The softball questions. Yeah, good way to frame it. Yeah, I just ask very specific questions You got to be on the right tears like you got to play off Dramatic more dramatic uneven lies than there are here and I I To the point where I think like even if if all this stuff is a little bit in his head it Um, that won't be his undoing necessarily on a golf course like this I think in the past we've done, you know, what's the most interesting thing on thursday Ron might be that story for me this this year where it's like he is I know everybody needs to get off to a good start but him especially like that's been the thing It's not like he's he's gotten a sunday and he just like cratered at a lot of these He just hasn't been relevant like he's he's had better finishes than it really even looks like because he's Played meaningless golf on a lot of these these sundays So if he can get off the bus and get off to a good start I think he'll actually be fine and then I think a lot of that Stuff that you're talking about might might bear out. He just hasn't done that in Years Uh, I don't know He does he does and Bryson does not I think his is wednesday I was brice and expected to grow the game without a press conference They muscled it. Yeah Cody brought up a really interesting point What if what if it's like one of those cuban baseball players where they they come to like the world baseball classic? Or international competitions and they're looking to defect It gets swept away over to tvz. Harding bark or something But Rob has not shown up for his second round tea time He has defected down to pana vidra She's a guy that looks just like john rob out of the valley course At tvz saugrass rama's ten o'clock tuesday For his press conference. Maybe that gives him enough time to You know be less angry. He can be angry on wednesday and then be back to normal on thursday for his first round Uh randy, what's going on with fits? ah One of the best golfers in the world in my opinion and how do you square your english? kind of hatred with uh With what fits is doing right now. There was a lot of this is not last night. Yeah I wouldn't call it. You're right. Hatred's not the right word. No, I'm just trying to call balls and strikes on the english and They're looking at a lot of called third strikes Uh, I'll say this about fits the numbers. He's playing the best golf of his career and of course he won the 2022 us open at brook line um There are a couple things working against fit. So let me let me start there Bugaboo has always been major championships with matt in 43 career starts. He's got six just six top tens um I will say two of those big game hunter like tommy Two of those top tens are in his last four major starts He was tied for eight that last year's pj at quail hollow And then he was tied for fourth at the open championship last year. He had an okay matt I mean tied for 18th. It's like, you know, that's fine. I was expecting a little bit more, but yeah, that was pretty irrelevant yeah, um The other thing working against fits and to your point about english golf Uh, fun fact for you guys. Do you guys know jim barns? The name jim barns long jim barns Long jim barns the only englishman to win the pga championship And in fact, he won the first two playings in 1916 and 1919. No englishman has won the pga championship since 1919 Um, could be harry hauls music this week. Will that streak break? You know, I wouldn't bet on it, but we'll see in uh In the in the plus column for fits like I said, he's won this year. He's won three times on tour One was a team event with his brother um he is Fifth on tour and strokes gain total at almost a stroke and a half per round He is third in strokes gain t to green. He hasn't putted it Great, that's that's his statistical weak point. He's 99th in putting Um, but I found this I found this little interesting nugget. I you know, maybe Not saying it's sure to happen this week But the last four times fits has had a negative strokes gain putting week. He has followed it with a positive putting week And last week at that truest he was negative point nine two strokes gain putting for the week And so if you can flip that myself Into a positive putting week with his ball striking with his newfound length. I think he could have a look I like listen if if roaring cam and scottie are all on their game like I don't think matt has the firepower um, but you never know so I've come around a case I can make for fits patrick. I don't really see it But I wouldn't mind if he was in contention Ron Mcmite slap for this because I'm like I can't convince myself Anyone should be ruled out on this golf course. You know what I mean? Like totally If the golf course is really a character, right? It's just the canvas for these these guys to do for a heavyweight battle. Yeah Uh, tc is Ludwig a heavyweight. What's going on? He is he is. Yeah. I mean this this will shock you guys the way that you guys talk about him, but Um, Slag him off. Yeah going back to bay hill t3 Uh, of course t5 at the players after a disastrous great top five t5 at the texas open after a poor sunday t21 at the masters didn't really have it t4 at rbc heritage t8 at the truest He's raised his level with the putting the putting's gotten didn't put great last week But I think overall the putters looked more solid Um, I think he's improved chipping wise over the last You know nine to twelve months and then the approach play looks awesome So I think I think the tball is what's kind of been a little Like not his norm, uh lately and I think T-ball wise I think he's finding something so, uh, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna fluff him a bunch I'm just gonna say like Ludwig like very much I might win this week I'm struggling. Yeah, I'm struggling to see the connection between between those two statements I'm not gonna fluff him too much and you might not gonna spend a bunch of time fluff. Okay. It's a time. Okay. Yeah He's uh that first start at august in 2024. I feel like he's eating He's had a lot of meals off that runner up at august And the next year And and the seventh the next year he has not had a top 10 in another major And a weird two miscuts at the at the pga is is uh a bit of a strain. Does that give you pause tc? No, it doesn't it makes him a big game hunter Yeah, I mean if we're doing percentages, right? He's he's got two two top tens in nine in nine majors Yeah, what are those numbers tell you? Moving on zander shawthly going off at plus 1800 actually reordered some of these a little bit He's he's actually ahead of fits and Ludwig the next favorite after genre solid what he got Well, I was just gonna tell I was trying to make a connection You know between between that last one and this one for my smooth transition to say that atnt believes in connecting people to greater possibilities I wasn't that wasn't my best effort there But uh, they continue to put forth a great effort and they do that through a network that keeps people meaningfully connected To those who matter most friends family and more so the moments that that matter feel closer and clearer It's not just about being more connected. It's about being better connected Wherever life takes you when the connection matters it has to be atnt to find out more head to att.com Backslash connect to change atnt connecting changes everything All right zander shawthly Do you remember me? I've had top tens in three of the last five majors Uh that I've played since winning twice in 2024 My worst major finish dating back to the 2022 masters Is t28 at the pga last year that's top 20s in all 15 other majors since that mc in 2022 other than that t28 last year top 20s in all 15 majors It's crazy. I had crazy crazy Top 25s in every tournament this year from pebble to rbc heritage Before a t60 last week at the truest. Listen. He has not been the 2020 version of himself But ball striking wise he kind of has It's really around the greens and putting where he's lost about three strokes per tournament compared to his peak But worth calling on was zander His and again, I don't know if if we were responsible for this But I feel like his major record almost at times he can get slagged off for it And you know the two major wins obviously kind of put that to bed Uh, but his major championship of all Hala correct, but his Major championship stroke gained is 2.42 in his career. That is better than rory That is better than rom that is better than phil in fact. It is better than everyone Not named tiger woods and scotty shuffler That's wild now. Look some of the old time guys It's not good at winning man I've played a lot and have like the trail off at the end of their careers to you know kind of Demote that but better than all the current players other than scotty He goes, you know in normal tournaments 1.64 to 2.42 in major championships Like the guy plays his best golf when the golf is the hardest and on its greatest stage I just don't know if we give him enough credit for that. So Again, that's a that's a great endorsement. I hear what you're saying and I agree Randy, how do you feel about zander? I think he's a threat Yeah You gotta hand it to him. That's that's where I stand with zander. Sometimes you do gotta hand it to him TC is offended by that. It looks like I know TC always gets on me, but it's like TC What do you want me to say? He's like he is good Sure, yeah, if Tommy major like Tom is a big game hunter with eight eight top tens and 42 events zander has 18 and 35 majors he's played Top tens over half the majors he plays There's a percentage for you TC. Who's a bit? Let me just on the record TC. Who's a bigger game hunter in major chip jib zander or Tommy Their careers aren't over yet. We're Tommy Tommy is working towards something talk to me after 2020 election TC Talk to me after shenna cock and burk tell That's all I'm saying I will put that on the calendar actually because I have to talk to you about your more a cow a collar That I've already I've already forsaken them were a cow a call that Don't need to talk about that one. It's the worst take of my career Don't appreciate you bringing it up for all these people irrelevant Revisit zander versus Tommy. Uh, that is 4 p.m. On the 19th That's good stuff Uh, all right moving on Yes, let's take I mean, this is the main event. Let's just get there. Uh going off at plus 2200 That is of course the king of content Bryson DeShambo, we're gonna do a little good news bad news here. Okay. Good news Bryson coming off a third place finish last week in virginia one twice on live this year as you guys know bad news Last time they played they played real golf. He had a very embarrassing miscut at the masters It looked like he was in a complete and utter blender On the way to mc and on that friday good news Remember that number? It's highly what was it that you said 2.42 that was zander and for zander at the majors remember that Uh Good news Bryson is is one of the most effective pj championship players in the world Uh, he has got four top fives in his last five starts at this event He was runner-up at the last two playings of this event if you look at his last five pj championships His stroke scammed number is plus 3.19 Uh, that is to put it in a perspective if you look at, you know, I think we would all agree Scotty's been the most dominant player over the last two years What scottie's done over the last two years the ass that he's kicked over the last two years exactly 3.19 So scott Bryson at the pga has been what scottie has been writ large Uh over the last two years. He has been really really really good bad news Uh, been very feast or famine for Bryson at uh at the majors in his last nine starts He does have six top tens Uh, every other event that he did not finish in the top 10. It was because he missed the cut So when he's made the cut he's finished in the top 10 Uh, but the other three, uh, he he missed the cut Um Those six top tens since the start of 2024. Those are the third most in golf behind scottie and xander Those guys have missed exactly zero cuts Over that stretch at majors, uh, and then of course I would just kind of gesture wildly at everything else that we've Yeah, it's kind of going on Whether his league will exist the current negotiations that he's in whether he's going to continue to play on youtube or play um live golf all those the pj tours The all the pull-ups he did at the presidential fitness test. Do you have any dubbing work this weekend? Yes, any different languages to be dubbed this week, uh, what the pj tours youtube regulations are going for there's just i would say a lot of distractions Uh around bryson and uh, it's just a matter of of which which version of him Kind of will show up. I would say that the uh You know the bull case would be everything we said about the golf course. I think fits him as well He's going to drive it really far. He's going to have a lot of wedges in uh, he's usually pretty good at hitting those proper sections and and doing all the things he needs to do Uh, bear case uneven lies weird bunkers, uh things of that nature that we've seen at at some of our most beloved golf courses around the planet where he hasn't uh, hasn't really done, uh, great so Yeah, a lot to a lot to take in. I think this is the first place on the odd sheet here where I'm just like Yeah, I don't know what the hell we're going to get from from that guy. I think I'm I'm more trending towards Uh, he's going to be there than I am. He's going to not be there But uh, what what say you guys to see where you at on bryson? Yeah, I just go back to Uneven lies and canted fairways and things of that nature and I just just doesn't work for me. Yeah Yeah The the single length irons continue to be Uh, just a fascinating thing that only one player has chosen to employ in pro golf bryson to shambo 40th percentile player from the fairway from 100 to 150 yards um over the last two years of 34th over the last 12 months and since january 1st 17th percentile player from that distance Where a lot of the bin shots are going to come in He might get bin 46 inch wedges aren't gonna do it One of his strengths is play from 150 to 200 yards, which as we documented is less likely to be in that uh on display this week, so over 200 he's one of the top players, but um It uh and and from the rough Under 150 yards as well. It's like below 50th percentile. So There's there's coursing the fit driving distance in a way that He can get to make have short irons in and nobody else can and that's not going to be a ronomic would be my tick Sorry, randy. Go ahead. No, I was just gonna ask I know we've like joked about the filly fans. Do you think it's going to be a boisterous gallery? And I guess i'm just curious mostly with bryson the reception he gets from the people Uh, because I mean he was like the people's champion a couple years ago and I don't I feel like maybe some of that's changed. I don't know. It's a great just be a standard fair major Gallery, I don't know. It's a great question. I would love some on the ground On the ground reports if you guys get out there on thursday and just I'm fascinated to hear the answer to that question. I could see I mean filly people. I feel like are very Very no bullshit Which is where I'm I'm from when it comes to like a big dom Yeah, and state generally as an institution. I can keep going either way right I could too I could too. It's a good question. I'd be surprised if it was anything less than supportive in in person I just don't think people are as in tune with a lot of people and attending are as in tune with how How I think I think his his act has worked on a lot of people and I don't think I would put Philly fans up there with like oh, we we could see right through it. I just think it's it's generally works on the masses Taking shots at Philly Sure Uh, all right, TC We've arrived. We're gonna do it. Well, I said we're not gonna do it. Uh, oh come on We're buying our time for burkdale and shenokok He played great. I mean solid you tell me You play with him in the pro am right? Yeah, he shot 60. Yeah shot 60 guys. So I don't you know I don't think I don't really want him to win this week Because I think it detracts from the greater purpose which is to win at shenokok and at burkdale Um, but I think he's gonna play well. I think he plays well at pretty much everywhere. I had a while last week He's you know, he's he's a big dick player. So uh Yeah, I don't know what else you guys want me to say give you guys the last word He played well here in 2018 made well with soli here I got no follow-ups I got no I got no follow-ups tc. Oh He is he isn't a polo Country not blackstone country as much. So that's that's a consideration But definitely he will not win this week. You are saying no, I you know, I'm not gonna rule it out I'm just saying I would rather him focus his energies on shenokok or burkdale this one this this week would be a bonus Who who uh, you can only put your your coins in one bin here tc. Uh, ludvig or or tommy ludvig this week There you go. I think that that's that says enough for me. Uh, we we listen. We don't have to belabor the point. Okay You're afraid finna's gonna hear this again, aren't you? Yeah, exactly on our street as he's uh highly I'm just thinking that old elk quote Randy, uh Your guy calling more cow coming off a t62 at the cap at the lack Uh, what where where we at how we looking how we looking um Yeah, I'd say the best case for calling this week is I don't feel good about him So I I would definitely move an opposition of how I feel Listen, is he healthy? I think that's the big question. Who knows? Last time he teed it up at derral. He said he did not have a good week at all um He's a great ball striker That tends to show up weekend and week out um I I jotted down some numbers here, you know, like the two month stretch from What was it pebble to the heritage heritage? Yeah, he was t7 fifth He had to withdraw out the players, but then he was t7 uh and t4 so You know, he he's good I'll say this about his putting his putting is statistically a weak point. Um, he does tend To putt better in major championships though. He doesn't have like the disastrously awful putting performances Like he'll throw out there from time to time at some normal tour events like at augusta this year is plus 2.29 strokes gain putting So I don't know if he if he's making everything and if he's and if he's hitting approach shots like I wouldn't rule it out. I just I it would be irresponsible for me to sit here and pretend like I really think he could win And I don't think anybody should necessarily financially back him to win He's the kind of guy that the philly fans should climb all over We're being honest like he's antithetical to what they're about. Yeah, I think that's fair. I honestly think that's fair Yeah, what is that wrong? No laughing and I think that might be the best take of the whole show Like yes, that is that's that could be that could get ugly quick It could get ugly quick on both sides if he shows it if he shows any kind of weakness I mean, they're just gonna there's gonna pounce on him. I think you should hire big dom I need but need security kind of feels like uh, it feels like a little bit like if he's healthy Kind of feels like xander light You know like a a threat but maybe less of a threat than someone like xander and it just feels like at this course Like if this is a course where truly anybody can content like colin's He's just not better than right these names we've talked about so I yeah I just I struggle to see a world where he can win Can he finish top 15? Sure. And that would be great for colin Kind of a fun heads up bet with the next one both going off at plus 4 000 colin versus brooks kepka. Solly. Who are you taking in that? Hmm It's probably fun coin for yeah, I'm trying to get there with kepka. Let me ask you guys this Where do you think kepka ranks globally an approach play in 2026? Dude, it's crazy. I saw this earlier today Oh, I won't I guess it's good top 10 First first on the pj tour this season at least like stress gained approach So that's adjusted for field strength the seventh the so the pj tour data does not adjust for field strength So like a great week in the fertile beach can can outrank or you know kind of outsize your uh Distrosion approach and and whatnot, uh, but it's seventh So it's ball striking in particular his iron plate has been solid this year. Just the putting has been erratic He's 139th in the world In putting in 2026 a lot of that was poa stuff, but it's still pretty inconsistent week to week I tried to get there with like hey, he played great at the one flight myrtle beach classic this past week and finished t 11th But it's like all right. It was the the one flight myrtle beach classic and the brooks kepka that went on the run in 2023 kind of post we thought brooks was done He won orlando right before the masters which he almost won and finished second there Then had a third and a t5 and tulsa leading up into winning the pga like he was just playing really good golf then And it's not nearly as consistent now. There's been some good golf You know t9 cognizant like just a bunch of like top 15 finishes at kind of the lower tier events but it's still just like not quite brooks kepka quality but You know, it's not act like he was cleaning up pga tour events I know I know it's it's a it's a struggle He wasn't cleaning him up, but like he was playing better Then he's then he's shown and putted better like that's the key is like Just the fact that the putting's been as bad as it is. It's just hard for me to picture him turning that on Green so baby could it could but like he didn't put he lost to have a shop around last week at myrtle beach He was poor at putting at the zirak. He was okay at the masters, but was bad in houston as well He said way more bad putting weeks this year than he has had good putting weeks But you know, I that's the thing with brooks You do that here we did an hour and 24 before we mentioned him for the first time probably But uh, I just don't know if I can get all the way there Mentals are good. I I did love hearing how just happy is Uh in myrtle last week's allie like I don't think that's nothing truly But I don't think this course is hard enough. You know what? I mean like the brooks Outlast you I'm going to hit the middle of the green and just keep too putting you to death And and make all the par putts I need to make is not going to serve him that well this week Can I make a slight counter that I think that was more of the case like when he was playing better golf Is this almost like a if the if the questions to the test are a little easier It's harder to separate and maybe he can hang on and You know throw some sand in the eyes at the last minute and be the guy that comes out on top You know, it's like it's almost how I was thinking about it is When the razor's edge gets a little a little tighter I think that style of play works, but if he doesn't have that game, maybe he doesn't need it this week Maybe it's a course that just keeps people more bunched up naturally Who knows we'll see we'll see Uh, all right. I'll round us out with the with the last one here guys data golf has a great course history tool Which shows, you know, who's who's really balled out at this venue in the past Who do we think is in the field this week that's played the most tournament rounds at the mink Who is completely balled out when given the opportunity here? Of course. It's the great great man The speedster justin rose Who has played all three times the pj tour has uh has played there in in recent memory. I don't think he played that 1962 Pga, but he's played the other ones He won in 2010 famously Uh, finished t15 in 2011 and then finished second in that shootout in 2018 He's got a lot of good vibes a complete horse for course thoroughbred for this place Uh, you may have you may have heard this. He did make a change Had to get to the Cadillac Makes me so sad the lack the lack he did make a uh, he did make an iron change He just he decided to team up with mclaren to switch irons Irons iron play famously the the cash machine Behind his career, I would say uh, that's kind of where he makes Where he makes his hay and listen, it's it's only been two events. Who knows very very small sample size, but Uh from a stroke scheme standpoint the the iron play has definitely fallen off a cliff in those two weeks Back towards the back of the grid Exactly exactly That dirty ass air back there. Yeah, there's some power unit issues and some liability concerns Uh, you know, it like it makes me sad that he did this in the in the heat of major championship season It makes no sense that fits him so well that he has Good history at where in a city where he's won a major before I don't get it man What the fuck man? I'm bending over backwards to try to give give everyone the benefit of the doubt here but I'm like what Two of his worst three iron weeks of the year are these last two weeks, uh Where he's played these new irons everything you just said about the course fit tc. I'm just like what We've spent I don't know. I just I don't know what he could be Getting paid to to play these irons that would that would be worth Sacrificing seemingly what he might be sacrificing on the golf course, especially for a guy who fucking did this already with another Another iron company like what are what are we doing man? You're 45. You've been talking about like How much you're just trying to max out these this twilight of your career? I'm just trying to peek at the right times I'm just I'm working my ass off just to get in the hunt on Sundays at majors and it's like You're gonna change the thing that you're hitting on every hole like what are maybe the irons are fine Maybe they are but he's still like not adjusting to them correctly or he didn't do it at the right Yeah, we freaked out a quail One shot he pulled on one. He freaked out like pulling down at the ground and everything was like, man Not the best endorsement of the new quail Freak it out out there Uh, he I don't know. He's been a an absolute lion At the pga's I don't think row. I don't even know if row's got to mention and or he did get a mention in your your Me and tc trying to push back on your anti-english Slander he he did miss the cut at the pga last year, but before that he finished top 15 five pga's in a row He shows up for this event The downside this was a good stat. He's making his 24th start at the pga nobody's ever won Like a a major for the first time after that many starts if that makes sense Ray floyd I think has the record. He won the u.s. Open it his 22nd attempt So it would be would be a history making endeavor if the great man Justin rose was to do it, but i'm rooting for him man. I hope he figures it out I hope it's not the irons, but man. It's hard not to uh, just kind of get the engineers at work It's kind of hard not to raise an eyebrow. Uh, I think at this point in the proceedings, but Uh Grab bag I think throw him out who else who else you want to technically say I I mentioned to this person In case they win on sunday Well, there is somebody going for the career grand slam this week And I do feel like we get later and later bringing up his name every year that we we do this We don't have to do it this week Drove the ball so well last week He chopped it around On even lies we know he loves uneven lies cap allua, augusta, riv all kinds of those, you know those kinds of places He's so close. He's so close. Maybe we don't actually say his name. Yeah, I think maybe we can play I'd love to see it. I just don't want to I will say I don't want to piss people off I don't want to exactly it would be my number one if you gave me a genie lamp You said what's the one that you could wish for that would be the number one I just I don't know if I could bring myself to bring it up as a serious as a serious thing right now 87th percentile in 100 to 150 yard shots. So one of the better wedge players out there Wow, a little less stress. Did you mention how good he's driving it randy? Oh my god We should see if we game. Let's see if we can go the whole week. Don't nobody say his name. Nobody jinx it I think even if he's leading after the first round, don't I think nobody say his name Did you know he's not exempt into the u.s. Open? I did know that fucked up man. He's gonna not good He's looking it's looking good He just has to be in the tops. He's 51 in the world has been the top 60 by the end of this week They give him a sponsor exemption though. They should as a great great man exemptions. Yeah. Yeah, what are we doing? We've mentioned this last night. What are we doing giving billy horshal and Dustin Johnson exemption into this week? That's just they give a lot of we're not giving your rave prim wall Exactly after you won by 14. Yeah. Thank you 100% Uh, I got one name one name I think chris goderup has a look. Yes Uh, you there randy love that one and I think this is maybe commensurate He as of this morning was was 60 to one on fan duel One two times early this year, but low key has been top 25 for the last five starts um He he has the biggest if you if you like the data golf kind of course fit he gets the biggest bump uh at a ronaming of anybody and Guys just a little whiff of a home game too grew up in maryland went to ruckers He's a couple hours away from where he spent a lot of time growing up practically a home game Yeah, I I Just might look out for Uh, I got I got a couple on my list. I I would Randy, uh, your boy ricky's played this course very well He's t 15 in second in his two appearances here. Obviously playing some really nice golf. We've talked about that on the podcast last night Uh tc, let me finish But i'm duty i'm i didn't even think about pee I'm I'm duty bound duty bound to acknowledge Cantley's playing really good golf right now. He finished top. He finished t 12 at the masters Uh, it's it's been a really good run of like top 10s and I I could just You could just see it someone in the comments was calling it the stink at the mink already I could I could You know, I'm just I Wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't mention that he's he's playing some nice golf right now I don't think they I don't even see it. I like him I don't think they're gonna allow that to happen I uh, well, that's maybe josh harris and the gang carry him to victory Boss talked about rosie's starts at the pj championship specifically. What's the most major starts? Uh, oh before winning an event. I don't know before winning a first major Gotta be Sergio Probably yeah, I mean unless I don't know I just look at canlay and ricky like Give him a top 10 sure. I know in no world can I envision either of those two actually winning a major? Sergio was 74th Don't the record was tom kites 73 if ai is right. Just don't say I didn't I didn't warn you Uh, speaking of of playing a bunch of majors. I think we need to do this before every major from now on especially At shinacock, uh adam scott's playing his 99th consecutive major Uh this week. He has not missed a major since the 2001 open championship He's played every single one. That's fucking awesome Uh, all-time record is jack at 146. So he is likely not gonna catch jack, uh, but Playing 146 consecutive majors is psychotic behavior. I feel like from from jack, but Yeah, shout out to adam scott going for number 100 at shinacock on track for qualifying for that should be in Oda big yard is qualified for the open as well. Yeah, of course in the masters So the streak is streak will continue at least until the pga next year Guys, i'm gonna throw up he Gotta do it to him Yeah, he's I got her up with my guy, but that's already been taken. Um, he would be 70 to one right now Uh, I think p's one of the best approach players in the world Just an absolute demon with the irons Keep talking uneven lies. That's another Good guy who's one of both colo and and better off the tee I could see it. I could see it Just gotta hit to the right right good lag putter, you know big ass greens I know the dp world tour has not been has had a lot of Much going on since the masters that hasn't played since the masters. It's just a weird thing for p Could be a good thing. It's gonna be yeah, I'm chopping at the bit Get back out there with the boys. He's hungry Hey, all right, I'll tell you a guy that we haven't mentioned. It's just kind of Fallen like he was he was the flavor of The the season can I guess can I guess oxhaye oxhaye? We haven't we haven't mentioned him in weeks. No, it's a really good point It's been kind of I would just look at that or folder oxhaye's fault. I think it's oxhaye's fault. Yeah He laid a complete egg at the masters and nobody's nobody's heard from him since I don't ever saw him again Yeah, good point. Good point um I mean I haven't listened to last night's show yet. Do we settle on right hand or reyton? Where are we at with the pronunciation there and a hundred and reyton, but I kept forgetting So I was pronouncing it hundreds of different ways, but it's it's reyton in the pronunciation guide I know it is but I still don't know if that's right because it Don't trust internationally. Anyways hundred to one I know back to back seems unlikely But that just seems he has higher odds than like Matt mcnealy jake nap who's been injured hadeki who's been off the planet like Kurt kidiyama like it just kind of seems like right hands on it. I'm gonna stick right in Seems like he's on a real pretty serious rise in a hot streak that like Should be accounted for a little bit more in those odds him and alex and alex Fitzpatrick are both more than a hundred to one They're both a hundred Beam Yeah carrying some momentum and and Back to back just doing it Uh, solly if god are a beats Rom this week. No, he takes roms dude status. He does not That's he captures that from him. It's all like keegan Any thoughts on keegan keegan wins this week plays his way onto the president's costume. Yeah or sneds for that matter That's gonna beat out sneds What if they be oh gosh, we pair those two together at the president's cup Well, I captain on captain. Why do you get a press conference this week? Because he won here eight years ago and is like Yeah, he's rider kept captain. Yeah, he's still he's still unpacking Everything is he building questions about the rider cup still I feel like yeah, I feel like if I was keegan I might say guys. I think I've taken enough bullets for good for this this organization here I'm gonna allow don rey to speak. Yeah All the questions can be referred to don rey's not gonna be there room closet that he's guarding whatever he's doing right now Uh, I got I got one more on my list just kind of not a necessarily a uh, is he gonna win but kind of a Question mark. Uh, russ henley has never had a top ten at a pga Which I think kind of can make sense Just considering how he drives the ball and but he finished he three at the masters He's finished top ten in the last three majors And he hasn't even been close at a pga. Uh, just a a bit of a Kind of the the setup the golf courses, uh personified there I feel like as much as we feel like exactly what kisner was talking about. He was talking about Russell, yeah I think that's exactly right. I think russ would have won the 1962 pga. Yes, exactly Well, can I I'm gonna ask you guys it's gonna be obvious what the but the answer probably is here or where I'm trending with this What do you think this is haunting me? What do you think cameron smith's odds are to win this pga? Gotta be like 300. Yeah 350 to one He has longer odds than on hell iora Rio hisa sunae Michael brough what's happened to the weekend tc burger weekend cooled off Weekend had to go back to work What about marco penge Somebody i've read this on twitter Christopher raton is who we thought marco penge was Might be that might be true. I love that was pretty and just cooled off quite a bit since the val's bar. Yeah Uh, is he still a rider cup lock marco penge tc? I don't think he was ever called a rider cup lock. I called him a fringe rider cupper and then you got I said a very you know potential rider cup Wait to have a younger teenager Yeah Just let him cook. He's he's working on it Uh, I think the only other thing I had on my list here guys is just blocky his back Uh, what are blocky's odds? qualified uh for what was it like his 10th major something like that Uh this week i ran he was on with uh with dan rapaport. I saw a clip right before we hopped on And he he was he couldn't have been more self-effacing said quote I got tired of here of seeing michael block I set a bunch of dumb stuff in interviews because I did way too many interviews and all the hater stuff really hurt But I completely understand where they're coming from and I agree with a lot of what they had to say And it's just you know shame on me. I'd never been in that position before. It's great. It's great stuff Block is back tc. I'm in on block. Yeah, I know you're in a blocky I just you know, I need to get that on the record the best part of all of that was him using third person for Michael block. That's great. He's been put out there. That's blocky He's been put out great content Yeah, that's a big step. Um, what else we want from him, you know, right? And he hit that artful shot at Abandoned in the fourth hole. Oh my gosh. So good. Now, you know, abandon me also said go in and then miss the green But but randy he's only 500 to win the chase sapphire shot of the day On sunday. Yeah, exactly Thousand one man. Even you could you could retire on that Push those chips in man. He's You know, you know, he almost won. He almost won it. Okay. No, his whole thing was though This in this doesn't feel like the setup for him Because he doesn't hit it as far as glory It's shorter than okay. Picture what it did like if he did the exact. I know He's he's got a bins problem this week. I think Who all right, who wins in a matchup blocky or big text jimmy walker He's taking blocky What's jimmy walker been up to is he still playing? Yeah, exactly A lot of miss cuts in a row like 11 or 12 miss cuts in a row. That might be the only question jimmy walker's 47 years old he played the valero missed the cut he played the Last time he played before that was the klm open last summer Uh in june, I think it's a good heads. That's a good heads up, right? I'm taking blocky for sure You're taking I think I'll take jimmy walker. I'll see you. I'll see you out there Did you walker hasn't made a cut since the summer of 20 since fall 2024? Yeah, he's also like a block a club pro blocky's a Good golfer It's a fake. I still don't believe jimmy walker won this tournament Blocky has missed a lot of cuts Anyways, I think we're we're getting I think that yeah, I think I'll tell you this I'll be sincere if they put blocky in a Feature group on espn or whatever for the first round. I would I would watch I would tune in see what blocky's up to God number one blocky went down and played the australian open Yeah Got an appearance fee It's so sick after that t15 you guys got to go to his last 25 starts page on data golf After that t15 the pga played the schwaab played the canadian open played by a kova Played the australian open the american express Torrey pines insane got into another pga played colonial again I got the international series in england uh Another pga colonial just kept giving them a just kept giving them spots. Where where are we doing? Another american express this year. I do tell you what I said about him being good at golf because that that yeah I feel really good about Say about blocky Uh drives is pretty straight a lot of things to work on Yeah opportunity Great profile picture. Yeah, he does Uh, I don't know. Is he's not even 50 yet. Is he gonna give the champions tour ago? No, he is gonna keep that place up. I can't get out there. It's a closed shop. Have you been listening all these guys? There's no opportunity out there That's there you go Uh, so I think that's good for the spear. I think that's gonna do it That's gonna do it for there's there's a few good Match-up bets Matt fits patrick versus out alex fits patrick. Um, matt Seven days a week. I think I think we learned a lot about alex. You're a friend. What are the odds on that by? P versus spieth Hoy guard versus Yeah, we didn't say it in that context Hoy guard versus hoy guard is it's interesting I'll be making plenty of lineups this week and we we're gonna be back on wednesday We're gonna have a a kickoff show wednesday 4 p.m. Eastern is when we are scheduled For that one.
