Starting off with the Army. Medal of Honor for Maduro Raid Pilot. President Donald Trump presented the Medal of Honor to the United States Army Chief Warrant Officer 5, Eric Slover. During the State of the Union address, Slover was wounded while piloting a helicopter in the raid that captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. And the war recognizes his extraordinary heroism under fire. Completely agree. This dude is an absolute stud. The 160th best pilots in the world. Everybody kind of knows that. The Night Saucers. um they're incredible pilots extremely professional the most capable folks out there like it's just i can't praise those dudes enough and the funny thing about it is you see this guy's picture everywhere now poor guy look you know he's still using uh cane and that kind of stuff from getting shot up but those are the kind of people that we want to recruit those are the kind of people that when the shit hits the fan and you are, um, you know, the underdog now, granted America in general is not the underdog, but my man was flying a helicopter while getting shot up and still pressed on because he knew what he knew the cargo that he had on board which was other American troops he knew that their safety was all in his hands and he took care of business So right on to him And here another funny thing about it is he hates this. If you guys don't know, this dude, he is not enjoying this moment. He is not enjoying the fact that his picture is everywhere, his name's everywhere. People are praising him. I promise you, he didn't want the Medal of Honor. He didn't want to go to the State of the Union's Dress. He didn't want any of that, right? He just wants to do his job and he just wants to get back to flying as fast as he possibly can. So best of luck to him on a speedy recovery. And again, sir, or actually Mr. Chief, super proud of you. All right, next auction style retention bonuses for senior warrant officers. the United States Army now requires many senior warrant officers to bid in an auction-style system for retention bonuses. This program aims to retain highly trained specialists while controlling costs. It replaces traditional fixed bonus offers for eligible personnel. Sounds like a little bit of a warrant officer Hunger Games, to be honest. Jeez. So, I don't know the ins and outs details of that auction-style system for the bonuses, but I've seen some memes on it, so I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing. All right, next. Fort Bliss soldier sentenced for child abuse. A soldier at Fort Bliss, Texas, received a 40-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to sexually abusing three children, including a family member, over four years. The court imposed the maximum penalty, and the case underscores zero tolerance policies for such offenses. I hope since he's already been sentenced for 40 years, I hope they put him in gin pop because if they put him in gin pop, this dude will get smoked within the first couple of weeks or months. But during that time, he is going to get tortured by other inmates. Now, I don't know that we're that lucky because he's probably going to be put into solitary or kept away from other people, but they shouldn't. They should put him in Jim Pop and let things run their course, if you will. All right, on to the Navy. Explosive Ordnance Detonation Teams, EOD Teams, train on high north for Arctic Sentry. the United States Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposed what did I say? Did I say disposal? I hope I did that's weird so Navy EOD teams joined the NATO partners in Norway's freezing conditions during early February training for the Arctic Century Exercise the drills prepared forces for high north operations in extreme cold and ice and it supports this year's largest Arctic exercise so worked fair bit with the Navy EOD guys more more with the Navy EOD guys than the Air Force EOD guys And I tell you what they super professional super competent and very very capable um those guys are those guys are pretty sweet man um all right next on to the marine corps there actually nothing for the marine corps so we'll skip on to the air force but before you get to that listen take take three seconds make sure you're subscribed to the channel over 50% of you guys are not subscribed, which is pretty standard for most YouTube channels, but it really helps us out. It costs you nothing. Please subscribe. All right, next, Air Force line of duty policy update for reservists and guardsmen. The United States Air Force updated line of duty guidance for Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard members to streamline health care access during extended active duty orders. This change simplifies determinations for part-time service members and improves support and reduces administrative delays. All right, nothing for the Space Force. All quiet on the space front. All right, Coast Guard migrant vessel interceptions. The United States Coast Guard intercepted six vessels and apprehended 82 suspected migrants over the weekend in separate maritime smuggling incidents. Operations focused on interdiction in high traffic areas And the service continues key missions despite potential funding uncertainties. So that kind of answers my question because I forgot to look it up. DHS still is not being funded, which impacts, I think, if I remember right, I think it was 41,000 Coasties. So that's not great. Hopefully those guys start getting paid here pretty soon and they figure all this out. All right. Secretary of War. VA stance on disability ratings rule. I know we talked about this yesterday. The Department of Veterans Affairs has no plans to implement the controversial regulation requiring examiners to consider medication effects when assigning disability ratings. Veterans and lawmakers continue pressing for formal recession of the February 17th rule. The regulation remains on indefinite hold after widespread blacklist. yeah no shit yeah we're just gonna permanently kind of table this all right next uh pentagon realignment of anomalous health incidents team the pentagon shifted its anonymous anomalous health incidents cross-functional team from policy to undersecretariat for research and engineering. The realignment emphasizes development of treatments and countermeasures for affected personnel, and it addresses possible adversarial technology impacts on service members. So I just read that whole thing, and I have no freaking idea what it says. And I got a feeling if I read it again for a second or a third time, I still wouldn't know what the hell that meant. All right, moving on to the President of the United States. Actually, I'm going to skip that. Oh, no, wait a minute. No, I'm going to read it again Medal of Honor presentation at the State of the Union President Trump presented the Medal of Honor to Army Chief Warrant Officer 5 Eric Slover for wounds sustained in the Maduro raid and to a hundred Korean War Navy captain during the State of the Union address Trump highlighted long overdue recognition for both heroes in the moments drew standing ovation. I think he gave away, he also, it gave away, geez. He also handed out a Purple Heart, if I remember right. I didn't actually see the State of the Union address, but I want to say he handed out three medals and there was actually four, if you count the medal, Presidential Medal of Freedom, because I think he gave that out too. So next operational stuff, U.S. military buildup and Iran talks. Iranians express growing concern over the United States military buildup in the Middle East. No shit. As a last chance round of nuclear talks nears in Geneva, officials view the negotiations as critical to averting potential confrontation and tensions remain elevated with continued diplomatic efforts. Next, I won't read this, but we're continuing to do counter-narcotic strikes in the Caribbean. And then after that, let's see, Japan bolsters air defenses near Taiwan. Japan plans to deploy upgraded air defense missiles on its westernmost island within sight of Taiwan by 2031. The move addresses rising regional security concerns and tensions with China, and it strengthens deterrence in the Eastern China Sea. Man, I haven't seen, what is it, Davidson clock or whatever it is? There's a clock or a calendar that says that China could take over Taiwan in 2027. Now, they've been projecting that for a couple of years now, and China was for sure on track for 2027, but China is going through some serious economic turmoil right now. So that 2027 timeframe might actually not be accurate, and they may have changed that. So just throwing that out there. Do a little research and you see in case you're interested about it. And then the last one, China's new nuclear sub. A new class of Chinese nuclear-powered attack submarine has appeared in satellite imagery at Bohai Shipyard. The vessel reflects ongoing expansion of the People's Liberation Army Navy fleet, and it adds to China's rapid shipbuilding efforts. Yeah, they're banging out some ships, that's for sure, but they're all garbage. hot, hot garbage, trash. All right. Don't forget to like, subscribe, hit that notification bell.
