Summary

In this D&D campaign episode, the party pursues Dr. Avrema Artemis to an unmarked medical facility after a failed assassination attempt at an opera. They discover she's conducting unethical experiments on children and engage in a climactic battle against a bioengineered cryo-creature, barely escaping with their lives as security arrives. The episode ends with a mysterious message from an absent party member, suggesting larger complications ahead.

Insights
  • Moral complexity in pursuit of justice: The party struggles with whether to kill or interrogate their target, revealing tension between vengeance and pragmatism
  • Consequences of past trauma: Frost's suppressed memories trigger severe physical pain when confronted with the facility, showing how unresolved trauma manifests under stress
  • Teamwork under pressure: Despite being outnumbered and outmatched, the party's coordinated abilities (support, damage, control) nearly overcome an overwhelming enemy
  • Information asymmetry as a weapon: The antagonist uses documentation and psychological profiling to maintain control, turning the party's actions into research data
  • Escape over victory: The party prioritizes survival and extraction over defeating the enemy, accepting tactical retreat as strategic necessity
Trends
Bioethics as narrative conflict: Unethical human experimentation on vulnerable populations (children) serves as the moral core driving party motivationPsychological horror mechanics: Memory suppression, identity fragmentation, and sensory overload used to create tension beyond combat damageEnvironmental hazard design: Cryo chambers and temperature mechanics create dynamic battlefield challenges that reward creative problem-solvingNPC documentation as storytelling: Real-time note-taking by the antagonist creates meta-narrative commentary on party actions and character flawsNarrative consequences for failure: Party members captured/frozen rather than killed, suggesting capture and experimentation as worse outcomes than deathCollaborative spell casting and support: Healing, inspiration, and ability-sharing between party members becomes critical to survivalStealth and social engineering: Early episode focuses on infiltration, pickpocketing, and deception before combat becomes unavoidableMoral ambiguity in antagonists: Villain presents scientific justification for actions, forcing party to confront whether killing is justifiedDebt and obligation mechanics: Party members' past connections to the antagonist create leverage and emotional stakes beyond mechanical combat

The soaring vocals of the orchestra and the nematone singer reverberates throughout the opera house as the overture for act two of the show begins. The audience stays fixated on the elegantly decorated stage below, but you are fixated on the private box where Dr. Avrema Artemis is just quietly exited. Although the energy in the auditorium is warm and exciting, having seen your attempted assassination fail, a chill creeps along your spine. No one else in Dr. Artemis's box has moved, not even the bodyguard. They seem focused on the opera. You wait a few moments, but you know that she will not return. And as Bearnard snores sleepily next to you, you know you have little time before you lose her entirely. I am right next to Bearnard. Well, Bearnard's behind you. Oh, I thought I was right there. No, they were behind you already telling you to hush. But I would say, yeah, you're right in front of me. I still have the extra view that I kind of basically just like scammed off of them. I am going to basically stand up and maybe like kind of nudge Bearnard awake if he's still sleeping. I don't know if he's sleeping or not. Oh, he's definitely asleep. This wife isn't paying any attention. She's leaning over and she's just staring up at the opera just in trance. Hey, Bearnard, a bunch of boring stuff. Hey, I'll actually have to go. I gotta call. I gotta take you. Hey, Bearnard. Bearnard. And I am going to like basically kind of like hand, try to like mind handing him my beer. But I am going to try to like lean back of when I was a bit of a scamp and basically subtly check his pockets for any speeder keys or a valet pass or anything like that. I think Grand Theft Auto is a little bit more than being a scamp. We know it goes fast. We need to start a shop over at Rico. I wanted. Roll a sleight of hand. Okay. Shadooies, pike, or all you quads. And I will say also roll a deception to see if this draws the attention of angry wife. Deception is a 24. She is completely oblivious to you. Okay. Come on. She buys this completely and she's concerned about the opera. With a 19, I get a 24. Yep. Damn. That's pretty fucking good. Damn, that's good. You lean forward and you, you know, you move the bottle towards him as if you're, but you see he's clearly asleep and you see she, the wife glances over for a second and kind of scowls at you as you're making this noise. And so you kind of, and you see that she scowls at him too, that because he's asleep. And so you, you write him a little and as you do so, you feel that inside of his jacket pocket, there's very clearly a valet, a valet key. I, and you're with, with that role, you're easily able to, um, as you're moving him, you adjust his jacket and doing so you're able to slip the, the valet key out of his or not key necessarily, but the attack. The pack. Yeah. You're able to pull that. So it's like a sci-fi looking car or something. Yeah. Yeah. You're able to pull that out of his pocket and slide it into the sleep of your jacket without her even noticing. Enjoy the rest of the show, love. Oh, you know what I'm saying? Oh, crazy wife. You know. Shh. Oh, little bulge. Oh, see, it'd be a little good with another pat on the back. What the fuck are you doing? Get the fuck out of here. What trying to listen to the opera? All right. Let's go. Let's go. Let's all go to the bathroom, then. Yeah. Man, we all gotta use the bathroom. Yes. Oh, it's time. It's time. Down in front. Shh. Too many crispy boys. Oh, that, that long worm, just isn't agreeing with us. Excuse me. Excuse me. I just shake my head as we're like, as we're filing out and trying to usher our new first year. You hear hushes and shouldn't be quiet from the people around you as you are quietly making your way out of, out of your seats. And eventually you find yourselves in the aisles making your way back towards the, back towards the grand foyer of the opera house. As soon as we like go through the doors in the back of the theater, I would immediately start like my eyes would be glancing everywhere. And I'd be like kind of trying to stay down, maybe kind of being behind Gideon and Torbac. But I'm trying to, and I think we all would be, but me especially, I want to be looking if I get any glimpse of her, if she came down the stairs, if she's leaving for the exit. I would like you all to roll a perception check. Torbac, you will be at advantage for the role that you made earlier. Well, ooh. Man, I'm so good at this game. My quad dice occasionally. Oh, wow. Natural fucking 20 for Torbac. Thank God somebody's good at this. I'll sniff her out. I got a natural one, so I got a six. Okay. Natural one. 18. I was going to say 28, but that's because I thought I would be adding my passive stress to that region. I'm sweating. I don't know what she looks like now too. We've all seen perception. We've all seen perception. She, seven. Is he red Velociraptor? Yes. So she's just relatively small, she's a small, so we're in. She was wearing a dress of some kind. A fancy dress and she's got turquoise and like marked stripes and feathers. Feathers, yes. Thank you for the reminder. Yeah. 11. Okay. You're really lucky to work back. I got an 18. I got an 18. Right, but you're still with a 7-7-11. You're really lucky to work back on the natural 20. Yeah. Still game. Yeah, Frost. They got Torbacs here. They got Torbacs. Said no one ever. Frost is not in this game. This game, Torbac is very good. Yeah, he's very good. Very good and useful. He's very, very good. Stepping out of the orchestra of the opera house, the orchestra floor, you step into the grand foyer and immediately as the doors close, the, not silence, but the quiet is almost deafening. Gone are the loud sounds of the music and the wailing vocals of the nematoh and opera singer and you are now in the quiet of this place where even your breath or even your breathing can be heard ringing throughout this space. As all of you begin to look around, you make your way through the grand foyer of the opera house and you see a small handful of well-dressed stragglers along with the theater staff. Looking about, Torbac, up on the highest terrace, you catch a glimpse of red scales in turquoise feathers, unmistakably belonging to Avrima as they make their way towards the speeder of valet service. Um, as nonchalantly and as quickly as I could, I would silently nudge Mr. K and point so that he sees and make note of... Before that happens, Frost, you also notice this too. Oh, look at that. This was my favorite campaign. There you go. I'm just kidding. But I just, I make sure to let Kremino as quietly and silently as possible before I alert because we're pressed for time. Oh, no, no, go ahead. Looks like she's going for a car. I mean, you got the ticket, right? We got to pick up. Sorry, old barrel lad. Have you told us that? Are you telling us now? Oh, would we not have known that? Then I would point out that she's going for a fucking car. How are we going to keep up with her? Well, you know, I don't have to talk a lot about me past, but it does include a little bit of grand theft auto. And it's only because it's dire circumstances or don't indulge us. Don't tell any of this to me. I can't believe you, Grico, committing crime so that we can go commit murder. What kind of a man are you? Whose car is that? Well, it's barrels was going to be some probably some Jalopy. So we made this thing go famous. It's only the only thing I couldn't approach any of the other ones without getting noticed. You don't have to defend your actions to me. Let's just move. That was a great fucking work. Yeah, well done. You were a tailor in a fucking taxi. Let's go. Genius, come on, let's go. Let's go get the car. Stay in front of me, stay in front of me. Follow, go, go, go. And we would like. We hustle. We hustle. Yeah. So I'm trying to walk very nonchalantly. So I will have you make a let's do a stealth check. I think that's fun because you're trying to blend in. Since I'm not to draw attention. 24. The big boys. Do I know this is why I'm not good by the way. Or no, I would say 24. And if we can. Sorry, what were you asking? We can help Kremi because we're hiding him. He's asking to get advantage on us because he's behind us. Oh, no. That's fine. I schooled an 18. Okay, great. Plus 26. Very unnatural one. So I thought it was one of the seven. What is it? It's not a. For stealth? Yeah. It was a three. Okay. Well, that's worth some nice. We didn't do well three and eight. So 20. Okay. We're joined together. Yeah. Frost, you're to the deciding factor. We're going to the chat shrunk for this opera. Damn these clothes. I was a 19. And I get a 24. Let's fucking go. Because of frost. You are all. I don't know how. This was my favorite campaign. No. This was my favorite campaign. I would love to win. I would love to win. I have dark vision. I don't know if you knew this about me. Ow. Ow. Ow. So that's about it. Ow. Yeah. With that, though, some of you are not walking as elegantly as others. As a group, you are able to laugh. I'm picturing like giddy and torpic stumbling over themselves. Yeah. That's called a chat strut. Okay. We're chat strutting through this place. Notchalant. Notchalant. As a unit, you are fairly unnoticeable. No one seems to be turning in your direction. It's not unusual for people to leave during the second act and head home early. And so you are one of few that are leaving the opera tonight at this time. And no one seems to look. No one seems to spend too much time looking in your direction. I have a question. Yes. Were we impressed with the show? Was the opera good? It was very good. Okay. It was very, very good. I've never seen like that before. So I'm just curious how. Yeah. No, that's a great question. And you remember that this was a very special night. The fact that you got tickets for this was... A miracle. It was a miracle, quite frankly. This was something that the topside had been, those who frequent the opera had been looking forward to for a while and you could see why. It was not at all what you expected, but more than you could have hoped for. And I would say, especially you having not seen anything like this, you might feel a little bit, you know, a little bit of sadness, wistfulness that you're not going to be able to see the entire show. But you do make your way out of the opera. That wasn't bad, I... A single tear rolled that perfect cheek. And you make your way towards, towards Valais. Once outside, you scan the air around the pearlescent opera house. Oh, sorry. Wrong spot. Once outside, you wait for the Valais to retrieve the speeder. And you have no idea what you expect to arrive. Oh, here you go. Yeah, I'm just moving past it. Because I don't want to do an NPC. You wait for the Valais to retrieve the speeder. And you have no idea what you expect to arrive. Eventually, turning around the bend of docked speeders is an incredibly sleek and impossibly expensive luxury cruiser... Who? ...that is painted various shades of browns and beiges. Its digital license plate reads, very sexy. It's a Chad. Holy shit. Can we go pickpocket somebody else and take their car? Holy fuck. I don't want to rob this guy. That guy's going to be bummed to learn his cars, but I can't tell if I think this is incognito or adicognito. Holy smokes. Are we sure we can take this? Everyone is going to know who we are. Of course we can. Yeah, it's our car. That's exactly right. Oh, yes. Okay, well, here you go, Landon. You didn't hear anything nameless that way. He is a couple of extra notes. I'm going to go get him. I'm going to get him. I didn't hear anything nameless that way. He is a couple of extra notes from the trouble. Thanks for taking great... It's a vending machine. It's a vending machine. It's a vending machine. Thank you, man. Thank you, man. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you so much for that, man. You can get a man of that. Absolutely. They might have the opera. A couple of extra notes. All right. Who's doing the driving, lads? Well, I can take a man, him and the keys. Vending machine? All right. Everybody hop in. You're welcome. That was really good. Thank you, Derek. I jump in immediately. Thank you. I get the bag. I've got to go. Is there room for all of us? Can we all fit? This is like a big... Like a big luxury... Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry, my brain. I get the bag. Just give me one. I assume it's a K-1 shotgun. Okay. Yes. I will take shot. Well, actually, no. I don't take shotgun. Who do you want shotgun? I want you in shotgun. Done. I'll take shotgun. Toe back, get in front. Kid, you know what to do. Hell, yeah. And I'm going to get on what... I'll get behind Torbett because he's so wide. So I will be on the... In the back right seat. Once you get... And kind of like leaning down. Just in case, like, she's looking through any mirrors and looks back at us. She sees us coming. She's going to think we're like the most well-dressed hired thugs. Like two giant motherfuckers in the front of this luxury vehicle. I can't wait to see how this plays out. Yeah, we have to drop the windows. The arms are going out the side. And remember, we're in our own really awesome fucking house. Yeah, yeah, yeah. As soon as Kremman you get in on the right side. I'll open the door. I'll rock Frosty. There you go. Thank you. Thank you. Okay. Ah, enough spacious on the left side. Yeah, okay. Is this the first time I've ever had the big boys up front? So there's actually... Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's pretty spacious. If you look in the front, you cannot see what's happening. Yeah. Just a window of meat. Just playing. Oh, God. Oh, she looks spacious. Sitting in the cruiser, do we have any kind of line of sight on where, like, if the speeder valet was in a different section, or do we see her like... When I have a general direction of where she's gone or... You made very good time. You saw that as she was leaving, she was not walking quickly. She was slowly just moving through the opera house at a glacial pace, almost. Still enjoying the show as she left. And even Torbek, when you saw her as she was making her way towards the valet, she wasn't moving with haste in any way. You guys were moving significantly... Even though you were trying not to draw attention, you were still moving quickly. And so you imagine that picking up the very sexy mobile that you did not arrive outside that much later than she had. Okay. Got it. I'm assuming you're in the driver's seat. Yeah, yeah. And I would call her Torbek like, hey, eyes on the skies, man. You see the speeder anywhere? I'll have the both of you then roll perception checks. While they do that, I'm looking at all of the documents that I have here, and I just forgot. I hop into the cockpit of Rook Valarwing. Oh, who let this hit? And for a bonus action, I use Boost. This is important. What does Rook Valarwing say when you use Boost? Well, no, no, no, I get to do the voice. You just have to tell me. Raw? I'll sniff her out. Raw! I'll sniff her out! Raw. That's what it says. Okay, I love it. Thank you. Because that's what all of the mechs sound like. I use them every day. I'm the shining spear of Castle Askeloth. No, they all sound like that. Okay, what did I roll? I don't know. You didn't tell me. Oh, I got a... Oh, I got an 19. 17. Oh, great. That's decent. You scan the air around the pearlescent opera house, and eventually you spot it, a sleek, ice blue luxury air speeder accented with chrome as it makes its way southward. Surprisingly, it is not recklessly speeding, but is instead following all air traffic laws at a reasonable pace. Oh! It comes to a light around the bend. I'll kick the cruiser into gear, and I'm going to attempt to come into the wake, and presumably there's traffic around us, especially if she's driving normally. Very, very light traffic right now. Anyone who's in this area of the city seems to be at the opera right now. So you're easily able to move up and join the sparse traffic. She is currently stopped just a little bit ahead. I would say there are about two, maybe three speeders in front of you. Okay, but I was going to say, I don't want to... But you're close enough. I don't want to come straight up to her. I'd try and maintain a two, three-car distance. And that's roughly where you're at. On the tail. All right, perfect. That's it, Gideon. That's her. Good work. Guys, we got to... We're lying aside. We're about three-car... Playing cool, playing cool. Pretend you're a bear. Think about how bearable my drive. Don't talk to us. Don't talk to us. What do I do? Get drunk? I would like you to make a couple of checks, and you can do so at Advantage because Torbeck is helping you with some of them. I'd like you to make a perception check at Advantage with Torbeck's help. That's just to keep an eye on her to make sure you don't lose her. That's Advantage. Okay, 10 at Advantage. At Advantage, okay. What's your great perception? If it's investigation... Hold on. If it's investigation, it's a 15. Hold on. I am going to use one of my Species Straits. You know what? When I can't... No, you can use that. I like Species Straits. Yeah. Pack-minded. When an ally can see within 30 feet of you, it says technically fails a D20 test. Sure. I can take a reaction to encourage to add 1D6 to the total. Okay. Possibly turning the success into a failure. I love that. You mean that a 10 is low, like too low? I'd like to basically continue to help and assist pointing things out, you're giving it you advice on tailing distance and you can add a D6 to it. Yeah, and I think if you had gotten into that before, maybe you're the one that's like giving me the heads up on staying far back. Oh, five. Perfect. 15. Yeah. Three times before a long rest. So a 15 total on that first one, perception. I would like you to make a dexterity check for vehicle maneuvering. That's probably just me. Not a bad idea. That's just you. And just for some reason, if you were to take damage within one minute, you would gain resistance to the damage. So if this car just explodes, you'll take high resistance. You know what, actually, I would say I would give you advantage on this because you're used to driving very quickly through the Greenlight District and you're able to actually breathe in this car and it's a brand new car. It maneuvers very well. Oh, hell yeah. Okay. And that's vehicles, which is a belief. 17. Fantastic. And then lastly, I would like you to make a stealth check to see how incognito you can be as you are following along. Gideon, don't get too close. This is a very seeable car. It would be easy for someone to pick us out in a crowd. We're about three cars back, for us. And we're trying to maintain distance so she doesn't pick up on us. But she's got to be at high alert. I mean, she definitely knows something went down there. So even though she's playing it cool, she's driving slow. She's got to be on the lookout. So you'll need to play it even cooler. She's Mr. K. For your awareness, she's not acting like she's being followed. 17. Moving at a very normal pace. This is odd. Yeah, I got a bad feeling about this. You got any kind of idea where you think she's heading? I mean, where would she rabbit to? Is she live down there? Do I know where she might be heading? Um. Hmm. It's probably very early in the town. It's right now. It's very early in the tail, but I will have you roll. I'll have you roll a perception check to see your familiarity with these streets and if it's going somewhere that you're familiar with. You get in. Perfect. You get in are behind. You're behind the wheel. You are maneuvering the very sexy as if you've driven this car all your life. Staying roughly two to three cars behind. Occasionally, occasionally getting a little closer than you like as one car moves off or as one speeder moves off in a different direction. This is significantly easier than you expected. She is not speeding up in any way, keeping incredibly close to the to the dictated speed limits, not even attempting to go through yellow lights, stopping well early. And I it's adhering very closely to all air traffic loss. Almost like she's. I'm sorry. I just it seems to be very clear that she is that she drives safely and she's she does not seem to be driving in a way that she is attempting to escape, but just that she is somewhere to be and somewhere to go. And she seems unconcerned. You only drive like that when you got a dead body in the trunk. Well, I was going to say, is it feeling like. Thank you, Jarbeck. Is it feeling like she's almost trying too hard to drive normal? I wouldn't say that it seems like she's trying to. Well, you could have your own perception check. OK, that's fair. Or an insight. In sight. Yeah. Eleven. Yeah, I would say it doesn't seem like she's. I'm not picking up a vibe. No, it for sure. It just seems like she's not in a hurried state. Got it. But Mesa's being a vibe. But it is a little quiet in this car. So you turn the radio on and you hear. And you get my way down. And you realize this is not the vibe you were looking for. As you turn the radio just a little bit to the side, you get some smooth jazz as you begin to make your way through the streets of. I mean, I'm in the equivalent room. I was with. You stay as far back as you can. Barely making out the shape and color of a Remus speeder. You tail her for half an hour and eventually arrive at what seems like a simple medical park on the lower levels of the upper city. As you make your descent, you see this beater land in a small shape, get out and walk through the front door of an unmarked medical facility. Looking at this facility, crummy, there are. Bits of it that look familiar, but you can't. At first, you're not. You're looking around and you don't see much that you recognize, but after a time, you realize you do know this place. That's all I'll give you about it. Boys were here. She just got out. She pulled up. She got out of the car. She walked into that building. Could this be? Well, we'll find out. We got to go. Is this where she lives? She's by herself. No chance. No, this doesn't seem like a residential neighborhood to me. I don't know how that feels. I mean, Chimera's got all sorts of unmarked facilities, offices. So some sort of satellite lab or facility? I don't know for sure, but I know that there's places that they won't even tell me about. It's maybe one of them. And, well, then, I mean, do we have to kill her? If we could just do a questioner? I mean, the poisoning didn't work. I was just talking to her. Why don't you just talk to the lady? We got to go. Maybe she can speak a piece if she wants to try to save a life. But for Evia, I don't think there's hope of that. Let's go. All right. Well, let me land it down. Park it someplace, maybe just so we're not in line of sight and see if we can make approach. I mean, I don't know. They're fucking like cameras. But they're like, monobo, we're just going to walk up to the door? It's a long shot, fellas. I'm not going to lie. I don't know how we're going to get out of this one. But I think if there's one thing we can do, if we have any fucking hope to end everything that's going on down there, I think this is a one shot. And let the consequences be damned. Yeah. Do you all accept that? I'm happy to do this myself. Oh, I told you. I mean, I would doubt it. Make sure that Mikaela doesn't get kidnapped by herself. We've already been through this. We're all all in. While this conversation is happening and getting of lowering the vehicle down to wherever each is put. I'll be in something to look for a secluded, not quite like a direct line of sight, somewhere if I think we can land and pull up. You find a side street and there are a row of large robotic trash compactors that seem to be repositories for the tall apartment building off to the side. And you are able to maneuver the very sexy into a spot where it is obscured from the medical complex, but is still legally parked on the side of the road. My face is almost against the glass, knowing that Kremio recognized this place and knowing that I don't have memories from my youth that were either taken from me or suppressed by my mind. I'm looking at all of these features. And I'm trying to get a sense of I know this place. I won't even make you roll for it. You do not recognize this place. But you feel the dull throbbing of a headache just right under the surface. It started the moment the building came into view. And as you continue to search your mind for any inklings of a memory, the headache starts to throb a little bit more. And as you ease up on that, it goes away a little. But it's still there. No matter what you do, it just throbs at the base. I'm going to while. Oh, god. I can't believe I said that out loud. While my base throbs, I'm going to We didn't notice it. I did. I noticed it immediately. You said it. I think it would have gone. That would have gone on the right arse. No, that one will all be. No, I heard it. I heard it. But you know what? We're treating this serious. Throbs at the base of your neck. We're treating this serious. I will pull out my medicine. And I will even get the top off before I reconsider knowing that I might need to have access to my full senses. And I'll close it, put it in my pocket. And just continue to concentrate as we lower down. I'm going to pull actually. No, no, once we get once we get ready to get out of the car, I'll do something else. Also, normally I tore back would have the hand cannon and the knuckles like hanging from his belt. Can we say that I have like some like concealed carry? Absolutely. And I have so I got the hand cannon like under my left arm pin and the knuckles are hanging from under my arms. You got to spend. You look like a high end security where where you are for all intents and purposes incognito, but you have everything. I don't think about a lot of that. But it just makes too much sense. It does. It's perfect. All right, cool. Hell, yeah. All right, fellas, this is it. Barry's sexy as part. I don't think they're seeing us from the windows. We got to jump out. And I mean, I guess just walk around to the front door. I mean, place looks a bit. Does it look kind of abandoned outside? I mean, or not abandoned, but there are lights. After hours. Well, yeah. It definitely looks after hours. Looking in, it looks fairly dark from where you're at here. You imagine you have to probably get closer to see if there's any movement or activity inside. The you're up towards the back of the facility. And here they're the only car in the parking lot is of Remus Speeder. But when you were flying in, you were able to see part of towards the front of the building. I would say there were there were a smattering of speeders. Not very many. So could be janitorial staff could be, but it definitely doesn't look like it. It's an office park, medical parks, maybe other buildings. There could be other buildings there. And people who leave their car at their work for months at a time because they don't want to pay for parking at their apartment. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. It looks like after hours at a Walmart. Don't look like there. There anybody else here? Man, I mean, she parked out there by herself and just walked straight in. I mean, I, you know, wouldn't want to lose her. We should head on over. And there's a chance that there's no surveillance. There may be security, but given what Krimi said, I think it's unlikely we get captured on a camera or some other device. I think we just have to roll the dice on this one. All right, this lady's a lot stupid. And you made her see Mr. K. This is going to be easy. She's got lucky with the drink. She's a lot of things, but she ain't stupid. Oh, we'll see about that. All sort of like, I don't think I would just respond. I wouldn't say anything else. But my eyes would almost unfocus a little bit as I follow the rest of them. As I think to myself about how if this feels too easy, it might be a touch. Oh, shit. Oh, oh. Because I'm picking up on that. You don't say that. I'm picking up on that at all. No. Oh. All right, Toolbeck, big dog, I'm right behind you. You know what I say. If you can't run with the big dog, stay on the porch, eh? I've got you, lad. I will kind of lead the pack, so to speak. Hopefully, with Gideon pretty close to me and us covering the rest of the crew. I'll be in the pack. I'll be in the grid, be it. I know that there's a level of, there's different levels here of caution. I think Toolbeck has always extra cautious when dealing with these kinds of things, regardless. And as we make our way up to this entrance that we saw her go into, you know, I would make my way up to it, but just do a quick inspection to see if there's any kind of key card swipe, punch number thing, some sort of security or lock that there might be on the front of this door as we're approaching it. You approach the office space, this medical facility, and as you go to look to see if there's any punch pad or lock or key receptacle or anything, you immediately notice the sensor over the door that lights up as you approach, and the sliding glass doors open. What the hell? The darkened lobby of what appears to be a doctor's office awaits you. You see doors that go off in different directions, small glass panels showing a light deeper in the medical facility, but everything else is dark. She just left it unlocked, Mr. K. Well, it's possible she doesn't know she's being followed. Well, she's going to have to show some evidence, right? Just keep your heads on the swivel, be ready for anything. There's no way this is all a weird coincidence, right? Like maybe she just felt like not drinking that drink, right? Well, mommy, could she be worried? Could she be worried we did poison her? She came here to try and cure it? Before it took effect? She didn't take a sip. Is there any way that she should have could have detected the substance you put in that drink? Who knows? I mean, I'm good, but she's better. So yeah, there is. I don't like this at all, Mr. K. Could have been something else that's in the wrong. Look, we just got to go, all right? Looks like there's only one way she could be. I mean, this place is dark as egg. One lot right over there. Or deeper into the thing. Looks like we know where to go. Let's go. Is it too dark for us to see? It is. So outside there are flickering, like parking lights, you know, the street lamps in a parking lot. But they're muted. They're flickering a bit. But it is, it's illuminating the space. But what you're looking into from here, the light spilling in from outside, you're able to see this essentially waiting room. And then the long hall that leads down to one single light at the very end of the hall, off shooting from that, are a handful of doors leading into what appear to be, from here, other darkened rooms. But the deeper that you get into this space towards that light, the darker it gets. I would just, if it doesn't feel inappropriate, or if Mr. K would tell me not to, I would pull out a small flashlight, a small tactical flashlight, that I have in my inventory and just to help us see where we're going if we need it. And if, unless Mr. K was like, you know, put that out, I would basically use it. No, I wouldn't stop you. I think at least in this moment, Kremi would be thinking like, we're, you know, if she knows we're coming, and if there are cameras, there are cameras, it is what it is. Right, we're in too deep at this point. Yeah, we're in so deep. I don't want to. We have a singular goal, right? I will say the light itself provides a healthy amount of illumination, but it only gives you about five feet or so illumination in front of you, typical flashlight style. But it's enough to make sure that you're not gonna stumble over anything or fall in a hole. Fall in a hole, trip any, you know, trip up anything that might be in the way as you are making your way into the. I actually do have a lot of experience in dark creation. Thank you, Derek. Turn off the flashlight. I have dark vision. I have dark vision. No, I mean, that's wonderful. You could see in Haze's of Krem. And the illumination of the actual other lights that's happening, I think I'd be fine. Yeah, no, I think you would be fine. Okay, great. Absolutely, I agree with you. But you are choosing to make your way down the hallway. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. Like in this case, we have a singular purpose. A singular purpose. And we know where she's at. Knowing where we might be and who we might confront. Yeah. Before, I would lag behind a little bit and just pull out my personal communicator. And I would look down and before losing signal, presuming if we go inside, I'm gonna, I'm gonna text Blarby. I don't know if it's going to go through. I mean, most signals don't go through. And I know that it's expensive. I know, and it's expensive, but I'm hoping that it gets relayed through the network of whatever the system, however the system works. I'm hoping that she can get, I just, all good question mark. And I'm hoping that she understands that this is also a, we're alive, we're okay. It's been a while since we've chatted, but I send that message, I stuff the phone into my pocket. You send the message and then I... And you know that Blarby is on her, her communication device a lot. And you wait to see if the little bubble pops up, but not right away. You don't even, you see the little indicator that shows that it was sent, but you wait 30 seconds, you don't yet see the red symbol. She just left on red. You don't see anything like that. But you know that she's... Don't you dare double text, Rosty, don't you dare! The realist is the future. I would never, I would never, I would never. You know that she's been busy and you don't have time to wait. And you close your device, because of course you have a flip phone. And you put it in your pocket and you step into the facility. Thank you. You make your way down the hallway. The sound of your footsteps on tile echoes throughout this space, but it's all quiet. As you pass door after door, darkened glass shrouding the contents of the rooms behind them. There is no sound, there is no movement. All you see is that one singular light at the end of the hallway almost beckoning you towards it. You continue slowly, cautiously looking this way or that, looking for cameras, at least if there are any, they're not on display. They're hidden in the vents or hidden behind the panels. But you don't see anything that would be alarming. No traps, no holes. The light from the flashlight gives you the illumination. Those of you without dark vision need to traverse this space. And Frost, you can see, though not in color, you can see well enough to see that it is just a straight shot towards this light. Eventually, the light illuminates all of you as you arrive at a metal door towards the back of this facility. The air turns cooler and the panel on the door says Chimera Bionetics Authorization Required. Fuck. This might be the end of the road here, Mr. K, unless you've got something up your sleeve here and it doesn't look like we're getting in. Well, maybe we can bait around somehow, right? There may be a key somewhere here if we search the office. Start fucking cutting through it. I mean, we can't go back now. How long will that even take you? Fucking no. I mean, I don't know if it's reinforced. I don't know if she'd see it coming or she'd be standing right behind it. Could take hours. Could be a foot thick of metal. Come on, would I take you an aisle again? I promise you you're not cutting through this. We gotta do something, man. We bait around, Mr. K, what is it? Maybe push your buttons. She got a bit of a temper like you a little bit, eh? No, she's not like that. I just gotta hope this still works. All approach the keypad if there's a keypad there. And I was sort of muttering under my breath. Oh my God, oh my God. Not bring a please, let this still work. And I will reach out a finger and I will press L-A-M-I-A. Enter. You press the enter key. And nothing happens before the panel begins to glow and pulse. First, gently, soft green until it gets brighter and brighter and then you hear a click and the sound of air as the door itself unseals and slides open. Cold air rushes over you. You feel the chill along your skin as little goosebumps appear in response to the cold. The door remains open and it is incredibly dark. So much so your dark vision can't permeate through it. Thank God we have a simple flash. All right. But it's only 10 feet, it's only five feet. I said five feet, five feet. Sorry, just for this moment, Derek. If you'll allow it. I will. Thank you. So this is like clearly a different kind of space than what we've experienced in this mundane office. When you first stepped in, it was much more like the waiting room in a doctor's office. All of the doors that lined the space, none of them had the same keypad on them. Though it did look like they could be locked and unlocked, it seemed a lot more simple. Much more akin to being led down the hallway to the specific doctor's room where you would have an examination. But this door is significantly larger. The glass thicker, the security amped up quite a bit. And as the cold air spills in around you, you can see the tendrils of the cold air swirling around your feet as it's escaping this room. That hissing sound that you heard as the door opened draws your attention to the layer of the seal around the door that keeps it completely sealed when it's closed. And the darkness that's inside is even looking behind you outside of the radius of the light from the single lamp above you. You can still make out shapes and shadows through it. But looking into this room now, you see nothing but darkness. I will reach into my coat if we are saying that we are still armed. No, you are, you are armed. I will pull out my pistol. And I'll say, pay for anything, fellas. Yes, sir. I'll take the lead. Marching order. Oh, geez. I'll go first. Cremi's first, then presumably it's Torval, Gideon, Meath and Frost. Yeah. I'm going to be right, let me write this down. Not for any reason. Oh. You said Cremi. No, you asked this. Torback. Every time we go anywhere. I do. Gideon. Gideon. Grico. Frosty. Frost. Frost. And as I sort of step through, I'll lead back to Torback's epiphany, I'll say. Give me a light. And with my left hand, I'll hold the torch kind of up over his shoulder and I will draw the hand cannon in my right hand as I fall behind. The light, as you step through, the light feels like it's barely able to pierce through the gloom. The temperature drops considerably and you are shrouded in total darkness. The light struggling to illuminate the space around you. Your footsteps echo as the floor turns from tile to metal. You hear a heavy locking sound behind you as the grinding of metal echoes throughout the chamber and the room is flooded with ice blue light. A circular panel opens beneath you as a shoot of frigid gas billows out. I need all of you to make a dexterity saving throw. Oh! Shit. Ah! I am only okay at that. Natural funny. Fantastic. Wow. Come on. Oh my God, me too. Yep. No way. I swear. Oh my gosh. Do we get an aura from you or something? You absolutely do. If you are within 10 feet, you get plus five to saving throws while I don't have the incapacity condition. I have 23. Easy. 14. With the plus five? Holy shit. So 28 for me. I probably failed. I also got 28. 28 just wasn't enough. 28 just wasn't enough. No, no. No, no, the DC is 12. What do I add? Specifically, 28, you also failed. Ah, shit, I'm about to get fucking honed soloed. Ha ha ha ha ha. Did you add the plus five from him? I did. You had a what? 14? 14. I rolled the natural one. Oh boy. So right now I'm at a 14. Oh my goodness. Oh my holy shit. What did you get? It's huge. 28. No, no, no. Oh, 23. The DC was 13. So the two of you, Torvig saved your life. Oh my God. Torvig, what does that look like? What does that look like? Oh, it's absolutely some sort of like, I don't want to say super human, but it's my like a senses. Yeah, it's your greater nature. It's your like a senses. You try to call out. And yeah, and I almost sense it before we all hear it. Yeah. And see it. And I like grab Mr. K and pull him back and I put my arm out. I push Gideon back. You got a spider sense. Oh yeah, yeah. You like fall backwards. You have the cosmic vision. And I pull them both backwards with me. And we actually hit the ground. Oh, I put that. Oh, my God. What the fuck was that? Ugh. Jesus. And it's like cold, right? It's cold. It's freezing. As the blue light fills the room and the frozen gas fills forth, you realize you're in a cryo freezing chamber. Beside the huge chamber at the center of the floor, there are smaller shoots in the corners of the room. And you see now that there is an observation room above you behind a heavy pane of glass. Behind the various panels and speaking into the microphone is the raptor Sarian, doctor of Rima Artemis. She stares at you with non plus eyes, not filled with hate or surprise. She simply looks at you with a matter of fact and expression. Dr. LaCru, you're alive. Long time, Evie. Yes, it has been a long time. And with you, zero, zero, four. You're also alive. You, you know me? I know of you. What? You know Frosty? In the reports, you were said to have died with arrest when 001 escaped. Interesting. Two, two of you returned from the dead tonight. Look, I've been waiting a long time to see your face again. Did you enjoy the opera? Or was it not to your liking? Not my cup of tea, but you should not be yours either. Long worm getting to you. No, I'm not much a fan for long worm. It doesn't sit well with my stomach. I'm guessing that whatever glass you've behind, this won't do a whole lot of good as I wave my pistol around. No, Mr. LaCru, it won't. Maybe I can help with that. You could try 004, but unless you're equipped with gravtech, I don't think you'll have much luck. Yeah. Damn. Yeah, we were always fond of that. Did you know what I have, gravtech? No. No, no, no. Who the fuck has gravtech? Why don't you ask that? I'm just gonna show, I'm just gonna show if there's something you have. Oh, gravtech, you're assuming gravitates on? I am a busy woman. There's a reason that you attempted to poison me tonight, Mr. LaCru. Yeah, I want you dead, Evie. I was able to come to that assumption because of what I do. Yeah, because of what you're doing and you know what you're doing. Moniah sold you out. It was fucking easy. I am under no misconception that I have Moniah's loyalty. Look, so I can't kill you. Maybe I can try to convince you. You don't have to keep doing this, all right? I mean, I don't know why you even had to start in the first place. Why couldn't you just kept doing your thing, experimenting on dinosaurs? Why do you have to involve kids? Well, it all begins in the cells, Mr. LaCru. Children have malleable cells. Children themselves are malleable. Science demands what the science demands. Look, you can make so much money doing something else. You're a genius. It's not about the money. You've got to be the best biologist in the entire galaxy. You've always known it's about the knowledge. I mean, what if we can work together and you and I, we can invent, you know, espadinosaur's or something? Well, we can sell them for almost as much, maybe. It has always been about the money with you, hasn't it? Well. You don't see the good that will come from it. There are consequences. It is dirty business. Things need to happen, but the end result will always be worth it. If you would just see, if you would just look into the research, you would know that I'm right about this. Look, it's not worth it. And when the end, it will be. You don't know what you're doing. I know what I'm doing. You're fucking torment that you're putting these people through. I mean... There will always be torment. Do you know how medicated he needs to stay? Just to feel fucking normal? Oh, I would like to learn. And both of you now, here. Oh, how much I could learn from you. And you, the failed experiment of my predecessor, 004. I can't believe you're still alive. Hey, he's got a name. Frost. 004. How much I could learn from you, you're still alive. And you were the best there ever was, Mr. LaCruz. It's such a shame to lose you. I'm not going to be a part of this. You were brilliant. I never was. You were. I never wanted to be. Ah, but you were for the money. You're brilliant, Frost. That man is dead. LaCruz, you knew he's fucking dead. We did assume you had died to drink. Yeah, you wish. No, I'm very much glad you're alive. Brilliant chemists like you and experiment 004. Oh, the things we could do. And them. You could be of use to me too. No, I don't mess around with none of this crazy lady. You're fucking sick. Look in your eyes, you have dead corpse eyes like a doll. Doing that to kids. You make me fucking sick. And you deserve to be dead. And what we're going to do to you is better than what you fucking deserve. You're very lucky that glass is so thick. No, it's not luck. It's intelligence. Only a fool would allow you to enter this place and not protect myself. And those unrestrained emotions are going to be the death of you at some point. I would ask that the three of you don't stand in the way of science, of knowledge, of advancement. If you could please just step into those cryo chambers there and I will transport you safely to my laboratory. It will be painless. And then Mr. LaCruz and 004 and I can proceed. We won't stand in the way of any of that, but we are going to stand in the way of fucking psychopaths. So you want to check us out, you can come down here and take a look up close and personal. This really does not have to get messy. It's a simple request. Just press the button there next to the pods and they'll open. You can step inside, you will remain safe. Mr. LaCruz can confirm that I am not lying. I'd rather never learn the truth of my past than... I would like you to roll a constitution saving. Oh no! I'd rather... No! Uh-oh. 12, 17? Yeah. I would say with a 17, you pass. Wow, she's just looking at her brain. You don't experience any additional side effects, but as you turn to speak to her and your eyes make contact with her eyes, you see the blue light illuminating the room that she's standing in. And for a second, you have a flashback of that same... That the table behind her, that stark silver metallic flat surface. And you can almost for a moment feel it on your back as you struggle against binds. You see that blue light, but in this vision it's not blue, it's white, bright, white light as it's burning into your retina. And the headache that was at the base of your neck begins to throb and get significantly more painful. It doesn't debilitate you, but it is no longer a... It is no longer a mild throbbing at the base of your neck. I'm regretting not taking my medication. You are definitely regretting not taking your medication. In this moment, I'm trying to stay strong, but I break off mid-sentence. And you all see me as I sort of wobble to the side and I have to... Hang from me, you okay, lads? Ah! Ah! No, I... My head is throbbing. I... Don't let her get into your head! Give her what for! Tell her what you were gonna say, lad! She can't control you! I don't want to be at your mercy or any experiment ever again. I have no interest in bringing you to heal. I simply want you to come quietly and willingly. It would be my greatest pleasure if you would see that this is the only way. I picked up the work of my predecessor. They picked up where they left off and I intend to see it through. If you don't personally come down here and try to put us in those pods, we'll eventually get out and we will eventually find you. I can see this is going nowhere. Doctor Avrema Artemis looks at you with a non-plus expression and she begins to press several buttons on a panel in front of her. Shame. I would have preferred you to agree to aid in my important work. But no matter. This creature is of my own design and will aid you in your cryogenic stasis. What must be done will be done. Deep from within the huge central chute you hear a door open and a bellowing trumpeting roar erupts from within. A hulking monstrosity pulls itself up into the room. It is clearly a chimeric beast that has been heavily bioengineered. It is hairy with elements of mammoth, giant sloth, walrus, ice bear, great ape, among other creatures. With a strange glowing underbelly that is equally fleshy and icy. There is an eerie intelligence behind its eyes as it surveys its prey. And then it attacks. I need everyone to roll for it. I'll get the chambers. I'll get the chambers. Now I get a natural 20. Okay, cool. I need dice. Can someone doice me? Oh, where's your bag? Probably over there somewhere. Yes. That's my bag. Here you go. Thank you, thank you, thank you. That's pretty good. Seven. Give me one moment to get my doice. Why don't we take a break so Andy can draw a battle map? Yes. So can you please draw a square room and along the walls are pods. Yeah. Like cryo pods. Yeah. In the center is a large like graded chute that's billowing cold, icy air, which is what this creature just jumped out of. And there are in the northeast, south and west corner, smaller chutes also billowing cold air. Got it. Hey everyone, Andy Flynn here and I have huge news. Our next Kickstarter campaign is coming and it's called Neon Odyssey. It's a 1400 plus page space opera trilogy for Dungeons and Dragons 5.5e. It has tons of options for players and GMs alike, including an entire galaxy to explore, 30 plus species and 40 plus subclasses, a brand new space combat system and so much more. It's taken us three whole books to fit it all in. You can become a VIP at neonrpg.com to unlock a free set of neon nights, sharp edge resin dyes and more. It's only a dollar. Become a VIP now at neonrpg.com. Thank you. 20 to 25. I got a 23. No, that's a line. I lied. I lied. I have a 21. Oh yeah, that makes sense. That makes sense. And you've got a seven or a nine. I can't remember. I believe he's called out seven. It was my recollection. 15 or 20. Seven. Nobody else? Seven. What did you get for Austin? Get in. Six. Five. Wow. I'm gonna forget a nine. What matters? Damn. Well, that is what it is. That's it. I did. Wow. Is your midway? That said, I am... Where is it? When I roll initiative, I can move up to my speed. That's a Clawdaren species. As a Clawdaren species. That is so fun. Because I roll so low and because of the... I love the Clawdaren. The fate of Frost. It feels, this feels very fateful to Frost. This feels like he is... is... It is personal. And it's overwhelming. His headache is pounding in his skull. I'm not going to take advantage of that. I'm going to stay where I am and still be dizzy. My vision is blurring. It's doubling. I'm trying to hold on. I don't run anywhere. And that double vision is strange. Because as your vision, it aligns. But then when it doubles, you're not seeing two of the same room. You're seeing this room and a room that you recognize. But you can't quite understand why. As it fades back into the room that you're in. Damn. Oh, that sick as hell. That's sick. That's sick. I love that. Okay, so I'm stumbling. That's where we're at. That is where we're at. This creature jumps out of the chute. The coldness is almost overwhelming. It's not just the cryo chambers themselves are billowing forth this cold air. But the five greats on the floor, the four small ones and the one large one, are also billowing cold air. But this creature itself as well is emanating this frigid, icy air around it as it climbs up out of this grate and begins to move towards you. Grico, you are, I will say, just for the sake of fun, there's no surprise round in this as you saw her typing in things. So you came into this knowing there was a chance that this could end in a fight. Though this isn't what you expected. You were prepared and you are able to make the first move. I am going to basically, I wasn't able to bring my guitar to the opera. But I do have a microphone that I keep in my pocket. Super simple. And honestly, maybe it's kind of like the earpiece that I have. And so I'll kind of like clip it on or maybe I would have clipped it on. And I am going to once again run my hands back to my fingers and my feathered hair is going to get even more light and feathery. As I use, as a bonus action, my Globlan species trait, emotional spectrum, I'm going to use the yellow color. I'm shedding light for 20 feet. And everyone in it has advantage on intelligence investigation with some perception checks. Hell yeah. And if, hold on, the first time an effect to creature misses with an attack roll, you can add one before turning it, possibly turning it. Oh sick. So you have that with while you're within 20 feet of me. And then I am going to use my action as I am going to look at Avrema. And I will say, you better hold that glasses, Shatterproof, we are going to kill you and we're going to kill you, bastie. And I'm going to screen that into my microphone as I'm then going to take and push that anger and rage into a Shatter at a third level. You would see as you say this that she is, she's typing in on a little data pad in front of her. And she scrolls it up onto the wall and you see your face appear. And the name Grico appear next to it. Emotional instability, anger, rage. And you see that she is documenting you as you are fighting. Oh boy. But she seems completely non-blessed by you. That sounds right. The creature is going to need to make a constitution saving throw. Okay. The DC. Natural 19. That is going to pass. I believe it takes half, maybe, half as much. So it's going to just take half of... Is that a saving throw? Yeah. Okay. 32. Well, that's fine. What in the hell? I am going to... I don't know if this will damage... It is an area of effect that does can also damage things. I don't know if it'll damage the sturdy technology of the cryo freezing chamber, but do that with it. I would say you would imagine that similar to the glass that it would need something more like gravtech to damage. I would have figured. Oh, thank you. But that's a great call out. This creature is going to take half of this damage. Another ton. 13, 13, 14, 14, 18. 18. So half of 18, which is nine. Nine points of thunder damage. Nine points of thunder damage. And I am going to just stay there. I'm with my friends. That's my turn. All right. Give me one second. It takes the thunder damage, but it doesn't seem like it's... It notices or is affected at all as it continues to barrel toward you. It almost seems as if the different creatures that make up its mass are fighting for dominance as it's moving towards you. Torback, it's your turn. I shout, Mr. K, get back! As I rush headlong to meet this thing. And I will take the attack action, but as part of that, I can activate my rage of the streets. Unfortunately, though, normally I would attempt to grapple as part of my attack, but this thing is too big. I can't grapple it. And I also won't be able to use the push feature of my weapon mastery. So I'm a little bit of a disadvantage here, but I am going to attempt to make three attacks, because I get two attacks as part of my attack, and the rage of the streets gives me an extra bonus attack. And uh... Ooh, uh-oh. Attack number one is going to be a 15 to hit. 15 misses. I could add a d4 if I miss, correct? Correct. 16? 16 misses. Okay, but the next one will be a 22 to hit. That hits. And then the third one will be a natural 20. Oh! Yeah! Oh! And yeah. So I... Just be quick with... Quick work with this. I put the knuckles on, and I move up, and I just start laying into this thing, and trying to beat it the best that I can, because I don't know what else to do. And almost immediately, my suit jacket splits down the back. Like, it's just really tight. It is not... I can speckle the blood. You look exactly like Naomi. Yeah. The location of your allies. And I just like that. The suit I'm in jacket. This is a well-made jacket, but it was not made for you to fight in. And it cannot contain your muscles. That's going to be five... Five, seven, eight. Nine, 10, 11, 12, 13. 23 points of damage, bludgeoning damage, over those two attacks, even with the crit, unfortunately. But I will be able to activate the sap weapon property, which will give you disadvantage on one attack until the end of my next turn. Okay. So basically, as I'm beating into this thing, I'm trying to just catch it off guard, and wear it down quickly, in a way that it's going to have disadvantage on its next attack, I believe. I really like this trap, too. Man, you did a great job. Thank you. And just so you know, the sap property comes from... One of my... Oh, Street Brawler. I can activate push or sap. And obviously, sap is not available, push is not available, so I use sap. And it just inflicts disadvantage on its next attack roll before my next attack. Sorry. I have to do it. I have to do it. And I'm basically just trying to interpose myself between the rest of my friends and this monster piece. I need to ask you quick questions. Brico, how much HP do you have? Uh-oh. What kind of question is that, Nicky? Yeah, sorry. Life being... Of course, of course. Oh, god. Where are I? Where are I? Five HP on this? At the top. Oh, sorry. 51. Okay. Okay. For our back, how much HP do you have? Total, 52. Uh-oh. Cryo creature, how much... Oh, never mind. Crummy, how much HP do you have? 51. That's right. Frost, how much HP do you have? 44. Gideon, how much HP do you have? 51. There it is, folks. Thank you. Okay. Can you tell me again how much damage you've done? It was 23 points of damage for two attacks, all bludgeoning. Oh, excuse me. Add two to that. 25 points of damage over two attacks, one of them wasn't correct. And then it has disadvantage on the next attack roll that it makes before my turn. Mm. Fantastic. It... You see it take these hits. And it does not seem to... It doesn't seem to be too concerned by you. Yeah. I figured. I'm going to decide. Does it want to do this? The Camiro does not concern itself with the opinions of Lyca. Yeah. That's pretty funny. It is... Who is in front of it? It's just you. It's just you. Yeah. It's going to make... Whoa. It's going to make... It's not very smart is the thing. It's not very smart, so it's going to do this, because the alternative is a much smarter play. It did have the intelligence you mentioned. Mm-hmm. It said it had intelligence behind its eyes. It does have intelligence behind its eyes. You want to address it by talking us up? But it's not... It's not... It's not... It has intelligence in the fact that it's not just a drooling... Oh, yeah. You know, thrashing beast, but it's also not strategic. Fair, fair, fair, fair. Um... I know what I do want to do. We hit our goal. Oh, yay! Thank you. You're a great player. You're a great player. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you so much. Thank you, thank you. You're a wonderful player. No, I'm... It's, you know, it's going to attack... It's mad at you. It's going to attack you first. Let's just do it. And it is going to make both of its attacks against you. Okay. This is a disadvantage, you say? Just the first attack. Just the first... Yes, yes, yes, yes. So that is going to be... A 17. I wish I could tell you that my AC is 30, but it is 17, so that's a hit. But you have activated my trap card, Kaiba. When it creature damages your ally, I have advantage on the next attack roll. Me or my allies, I have advantage on the next attack roll I make before the end of my next turn. I am the warden. Then the other one is a 19, so I think that might hit. So you were going to take... Oh, fuck, uh-oh. Oh, he... Who has disadvantage on its first attack? Yes, she took that in account and she still clipped me. Sorry. Yeah, he has a plus 10 to hit, so I rolled a 7 on disadvantage. Yeah, that'll do it. I do have to find my D8s, and I probably should have done that before we started, but I didn't. So I now must find them now. I think I'm missing a D8, though. That's okay. I've got one here. So for the first attack, it's going to... It's going to... There's a lot of dice here, Nikki. 19 points of bludgeoning damage. Uh-huh. Um, plus... Two cold... Sorry, seven points of cold damage. Uh-oh. And then for the next one... So 26 on the first hit? Yeah, it's using its frigid slam as it slams its arms down into you. Totally. Totally. Six. Six. And then it's 14 plus six, so 20 points of bludgeoning damage for the second one, and nine points of cold damage. Well, that's really unfortunate. I'm unconscious. Oh! Fantastic. I was hoping for this. It's then going to use its bonus action, so you dropped to zero hit points. Yeah, but my shoot... But you don't go unconscious. Okay, cool. Your body begins to freeze as you watch ice begin to form all over your body, as you become cryogenically frozen. Can I redo my turn? It's too late for me to redo my turn. It's a little late for that. It's fun. It's fun. As this creature, as you watch as this creature freezes your body in place, it uses its bonus action to move half its speed into your space and consume you, regaining 15 hit points. So, my whole turn basically was just... Okay, yeah, yeah, you got it. You got it. Good play. So you're just dead? You're not dead. You're at zero hit points, and you are a frozen statue in the stomach of this creature. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's under-fleshing underbelly. Yes, and it's fleshy under-fleshing under-belly. Did you just get one shot? Yeah. Well, three shot. Yeah, well, you got one rounded. You got one rounded. Yeah. Yeah. All right, just checking it. All right, just keeping it up. Good luck, boys. Good luck. My life. Now! Yeah, all right. Now, it is next to you. All right. And it has something called frigid aura. At the end of its turn, each creature within a five-foot emanation Oh no. is going to take 2d6 cold damage. So anyone within five feet of it is going to take 10 points. Oh, no, sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. No, I lied. I did 2d8 on that one, but it's supposed to be 2d6. Within what? You're going to take four points of cold damage. Five-foot emanation. That is a good question though. Am I affected by it? You're probably not. No, you're probably not. What matters? You're already frozen. You can't be more frozen. For the sake of this, nothing is going to drop you to, nothing is going to drop you, is going to kill you at this point. I would say it is very clear to those of you that are watching and based on what she said about she had other means to do what she needed. She is, this is her way of putting you in a cryogenic state to get you to the lab. She's not trying to kill you, she's trying to preserve you. That's very legitimately fair. Non-leap-ally had a giant kind of creature. You're all going to have to wait for your balance. This beats you to death. Look, my name is Kato. These are exciting. We'll lose. We'll call a tactical boo-boo. We'll lose and then we'll wake up. We'll all have cyanic powers. We can play, we'll solve espers. Call it a day. My life for Mr. K. What can I say? I said it when I met what I said. K. Get out of the way, Cripp. Better me than her. But that is the creature's turn, Kremi. Oh man, this changes what I do probably. Kremi? I think I can help to look for him. I'm going to go take a nap, guys. Well, we probably, I mean, no. A dirt nap. We can't, yeah, yeah. I'm sleeping on dirt. Oh, great. Oh, the dirt nap. I love a good dirt nap. Damn, that was impressive. Thank you. I'm in awe. I feel like it would have been worse if I healed the, oh wait, I did. The only way to get them in worse. As this monster, as this monster appears, I'll see kind of all the classic hallmarks of a Kremi. As that happens, you watch as yet again another screen appears and it says Torback. And it says, um, handsome oil. No, it says thoughtless, vicious, weak. Oh, that's fucked up. Got that bitch in the face. The creature's appearing and I'm like, huh, a Dr. Artemis classic. You always would have won for, oh my God, no way. I remember. Sinematically, I imagine it's literally like, get down, Mr. K. And then like Jack Sparrow on the boat. Yeah. Well, it's, it's smash and like you get half covered and I smash half cup and then it picks you up and like, just sucks you in. And it puts you under its, its fucking like a reversed kangaroo pouch. Yeah. Yeah. Um, God, fuck. It's not technically engaged with another creature. No, not technically. Well, I mean, I also worth keeping in mind, you guys, do you not have any protective armor because I'm technically incapacitated? Do you, do you need it to be engaged? So I, because it, it is moving towards you and you did just get hit by its aura. So I would say it is technically engaged. It's engaged with me, but I think I needed to be engaged with someone else. Oh, then no. I wouldn't count Torback just. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. So instead, oh my God, don't make, get him out, get him out. I'm just going to shoot point blank right at him, but because I have a heavy laser pistol at its close quarters. Nice. I'm not disadvantaged and with my bonus action, I am going to use, um, buh-buh-buh-buh. The feature of the pistol that you use is that it doesn't have disadvantage in melee range. Correct. That's really sexy. Zero in is a bonus action. You give yourself advantage on your next attack roll on the current turn. You can use feature only if you haven't moved during this turn after you, you're, you use it your speed is zero until the end of the current turn. Um, so I'm just going to aim and take my bonus action to really lock in as I fire off a shot. He's an advantage. Advantage. Because I'm advantage. We're gonna start chunking this guy. It triggers a sneak attack, or sorry, it triggers a cheap shot. And special shout out to Lone for the comment. This is just a monster sized Sonic enjoying a chilly dog. That's so good. That's so funny. That's very funny. Oh my God. Love that guy. Love that guy. Bravo. Love that guy. Amazing. Amazing. Um, hold on, hold on. So I can't do that. I'm not going to do that. I switch you to the map for you. Okay. Just remember that. Okay. I do this map for you. No, no, no. I think about how much I love this map. Unfortunately, the cryo creature doesn't give a shit about how well he does. Does anybody else think that the cryo pods look like little fingers? I did, and I like it. 26 to hit? 26 to hit. Barely misses now that there's someone inside of it. Okay. No, I'm just kidding. It hits. It absolutely hits. Because AC didn't change. Where's my D8? Am I fucking crazy? We got some extra ones over here if you need them. Yeah, I'm missing D8s too. What is it with the D8 shortage? No, here's one. D8, sure. You got a bunch of dice behind your cans. I need D6s now. I don't know if you like them. So I've got plenty of D6s over here. Because it's a lot of do, a lot of do. Skull dice. Wow. Actually, we'll use these. Do you think it's a problem if my urine is more yellow than my hair? There's a lot of facts. I mean, shine a black light on it first. Shine a black light on it first. Weird thing to say. A lot of factors. I can't say for sure. Oh, yeah. All right. So it is going to deal. One, two, three. So I want to use underhanded. Let me just see here. That won't work. Ooh. That's nice. That's great. I love this song. Seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen points of poison damage. Sixteen? Yeah. So if I shoot it off, you'll see this like chem container in my pistol, almost like coat the shot with poison. And as part of my subclass, when I deal cheap shot damage to a creature within 30 feet of myself, I can change the attack. Does it have to deal the damage? It does. You let the shot go off. Son of a bitch. And as it collides, the poison seems to have no effect as it is immune to poison. Poison damage with a poison condition. It's as cold poison. For damage injuries? Yes. Exhaustion, paralyzed, petrified, poisoned and agogist. We are going to play a humble pie here, folks. Well, but but but but Krimi can only do poison damage. Yeah, that's that that. Frost, you better go nuclear, bro. Like you better whatever you got up your sleeve, now's the fucking time. So it noifies the entire shot, by the way, because I changed it to poison. I know. That's why I was asking. That's part of this. And I fire and it looks like it's a good hit. Oh, it does dead center. That's an original classic. There's just no way to change to make him immune to poison. You watch as the you watch as the hit lands, but all the little all the little droplets of poison immediately crystallize into these frozen icicles and point to the ground. So I will. I'll see that happen. And I there's a there's a rise smile on my face as I have this realization. I'll look up and I'll say clear the go. That's my turn. Oh, no. And you'll see you'll see Krimi's face appear on on that same screen. You'll see Krimi LaCru and the only thing she writes is quick learner. I'm going to be completely honest. I was thinking about role playing Frost is not participating in this battle because I'll literally show you. You know, I can feel I need to be talking about. And he would grab the base of my spine and pull it my skull free from my body style. If I did that, I got one round. I know where you thought you were from full health to dead. No, no, no. I'm going to be very rolled really well. The poison immunity is genius. That's so good. I'm going to stumble all the way over here and you can hear me murmuring. I have to slam against the side of the cryo tanks as I am clearly struggling with the amount of pressure that is building up this headache growing and growing and growing until it bursts. And I scream out. Is this what you wanted to see, doctor? Your work, your work, look upon your work, look upon it and it's big. I will go out and you'll see the glass of the all five of these cryo chambers explode outwards. You would if it were not made from the same material as what protects every month. What I will say is you see double and in one you see the glass completely untouched and the other you see the glass explode as you let out this. I feel the glass explode. I'm going to use my bonus action to unleash my sigh, so to speak. I'll enjoy Unbound Sigh. My DC goes up. I get advantage on attack balls. That's for spell deck casts, blah, blah, blah. And as part of that bonus action, a 20 foot emanation. It's pretty rare. This is 15. I think unfortunately, Krimi, you're going to be affected and I don't know if it's... Make a string saving throw, make a string saving throw, the DC's 17. Oh, I swear to the back. Don't worry about it. The stars are on. I don't know if I effect Torback. Could you not move further to not effect... I use my full movement. Oh, gotcha. Did you? Where were you? Here? Yeah. I'm going to have three, four, five. You could have one more. Oh, if I can? Then I won't hit you. Okay, no, no. And no, it will not effect Torback as he is inside of this creature. Small victories. Okay. So I don't have to roll my down. A string saving throw for the creature please. Sure. DC 17. He's pretty strong. I'm sure he has. No, I got a 14. He went with a plus 10. Oh, really? Yeah, I rolled a natural four. So not only does it take 10 points of force damage, it's pushed 10 feet away from it. I'm going to say here and then here. That's too much. I'll just say here. It gets pushed away. Okay. You watch as the entire creature gets pushed back by the blast of psionic energy that arcs out of me like a nuclear explosion. And at the same time, my eyes, my nose, my ears, my mouth, everything from within my skull bursts with psionic energy. You've all seen me use my abilities and it's usually invisible, but I can't control this venting any further. And the release is visible as the light coming out of my mouth, coming out of my eyes grows liquid hot. It's almost wavering and you can see it almost like a scream. Mechanically, I'm casting Dragon's Breath. But this is a psionic venting that happens and a cone burst out as I scream and smash into the side of this cryo creature for lack of a better word. I need it to make a dexterity saving throw and I'm going to use my sharpened side to make it at disadvantage. You said you had a Tendamina. Are you casting it at a third level? I'm casting it at a third level. Who the hell are you? You said dexterity. Exactly correct. Well, that would have been really great if it weren't at this advantage it has a plus zero to its deck, so it's going to be a nine. And so this super hot psionic energy is going to spray into it. It's going to take eight, thirteen, sixteen points of fire damage as this venting releases out from my screams. I continue to reverberate through this space screaming endlessly as that'll be the conclusion of my turn. Nice. You know. And I'm hoping that the fire may or may not have affected it more than it might other. Well, so here's the thing. Technically it doesn't have vulnerability. But I feel like it should. So I'm going to give it vulnerability because I think it makes sense that fire on an ice creature is your monster because you killed Rebecca in one round. Well, that was my fault. I'm just going to say that wasn't my fault when I released that I could do that. So I did when I was at the stab or whatever. We killed. And you said you did 16. That's spiky stab. Uh, yes, I did. And I also say not not actually this. This doesn't happen in the cannon, but I also say do you want to see my impression of a hot clod Darren sub? You. You. Um, you, you burst forth with this energy and you watch as it begins to sear away some of the the ice and cold from this thing. And for but a moment, this room that was frigid is sweltering hot. And so for very quickly, the iciness that's billowing up out of these shoots and from the cryo chambers and from the creature itself overwhelms the warmth. And though it did a significant amount of damage, this creature still seems to be unperturbed. I'll do, I'll do better next time. I don't know what to tell you. It does turn to you and ask, please do better next time. All right. As you see, as you see, that's what the doctor writes, do better next time. As you see the, um, that the same screen appear and you see, um, not, it doesn't say frost. It says 004. And on here it says alive. I keep screaming untrained brutal, trusting. Did he and use your kill cryo creature? Well, I'm going to be honest with you. I was going to role play this like I didn't have that. I'm going to use my kill cryo. Before Andy gets to me, I'm going to kill you. He's over. We're like a jackfruit. Over. Um, I would, much like everybody else is pretty fucking astonishing to see. You fucking need my giant like sponsor in a second. Um, but even with that, I think, uh, if it's reasonable to say, I would think that my first thought would be in a room like this, if I feel like there may be some kind of like emergency override or emergency shutoff. Ooh. Interesting for the ice or the freezing. And, uh, if, or if there's any kind of even like, obviously like she's got a terminal up there, but if there's any kind of like engineering components in this room, I feel like I might be able to tinker with to reverse the flow of coolant, uh, and heat the room instead of coolant. Um, I would say, I won't even make you, I won't even make you roll for it. Um, looking around, you can see any controls that there would be for this room are going to be in the room that she's in and not in this room itself. I love where your head's at though. Yeah. Gotta think outside the box. That's my turrets in fitting the tucks. You know, I knew you should have studied to be a grab gun again. Man, I'm gonna put the turrets in the core. You're gonna grab gun, you can disintegrate that glass. I mean, Zendin, you're in grab tech, man, where the heck am I? I'm in a band and that glass is gone, frost, and all of the psionic stuff. Yes, I would have pressed your mind. Gideon, is there any way for you to reverse the coolant into the room? Oh, man, there's no pops in here or anything. You've got the only fucking controls. That makes sense, that makes sense. I only got this, I only brought my handy-dated dynasty old dude with me. I ain't got nothing left out. Fuck. Well, I'll run over here and just drop a big turrets. Can you help out frosty? I mean, can you help out Dormack? I can't fucking help out Dormack. The stomach of my giant fucking creature. What am I supposed to do about that? He's got his undisodered, not in the stomach. You don't want to get too close. No, it's in his belly flap. He has a gross, like a kangaroo pouch. Like the fucking tauntaun split open. So when you say, I said consumed, right? I didn't mean to open his mouth and swallow him. Oh, it was like... It was like, put him in him. Is it visible? No. No, I can't fucking do anything about that. Do you see him open his fucking stomach like a kangaroo pouch and put him straight in? And you know, I set aside all those brochures for Solar Phoenix University. All right, not this again, okay? All right, y'all, this won't be a grab gunner. All right, but turrets are cooler. Grab gunners, that's for ether norms. I'm absolutely losing it. It's killing me. I dropped fucking turrets down here. I've had it with me since the opera, probably. I dropped a turrets. You know, you just build one. You imagine it. Yeah, but you build it in an instant. Yeah, I build it in an instant. I take out my dynasty old duel. My dynasty old duel. I'm just picturing you with like a hex wrench and an IKEA like instruction thing where you... A turt arises. And I roll a tissue dump. To shoot him. And hopefully that free of Thor begs of mail. 22. That hits. All right. Hmm. 10 points of piercing damage. Oh, yeah, this laughs. It... And you're doing this with your turret? Yes. You build the turret and you begin, and it begins to shoot forward. And pierces into the flesh of this creature. But you do not rescue Torbek with this damage. The creature in front of you barely seems to notice that it's been damaged at all. Is that your turn? Yeah, that's it. He's still in there. I see this thing get... This thing like fucking grab Torbek. And I know that I'm small. You are. I'm going to try to like get a sense that I could help Torbek in any way. So I'm going to move towards it. That's maybe very foolish. Oh my God. And I am going to see... Roll a perception check. If I can like... Torbek! Or roll an investigation check, because you're actively looking. Good thing I'm advantaged on those because of my yellow hair. That's right. That's true. Thank God I'm advantaged. Thank goodness. What was the investigation you said? Or perception, whichever one you want to use. 21. You look at this and you can see the outline of Torbek stuck inside of the belly of this creature. And you can't see any folds or any openings of where you would retrieve it. You imagine that it would need... You would need very powerful magical ability. Potentially something like just outside the game, something like greater restoration. Greater restoration. Could bring Torbek too. It wouldn't necessarily bring him out of the pouch, but it would at least take him out of the... Not to spell magic. I would say depending, to spell magic might be... I mean, to spell magic could probably work. Yeah, I would say or similar. It says or similar magic, so I would say to spell magic could work. But to actually just like remove him from it without any magical assistance is going to take about 10 minutes of intentional excavation. Sick. Start licking me, guys. Look at the popsicle. 10 minutes being elbows deep. Get him out of there. How many licks does it take to get to the center of the Torbek pop? What? You know what? Don't crush me! I'm just going to try it. This is... I don't know what else to do. I don't know what else to do. This is worth a try. So I'm going to look at it and I'll say, Torbek! I'm screaming into the microphone. Torbek, snap out of it! And I am going to shout into it. I'm going to use a third level, I believe. Oh, I totally forgot to mention this. She did put in an entry for you, Gideon. As this is happening, as Grico is looking and trying to see what he can do to rescue Torbek, you watch as she takes some notes and on that same screen, you see your face appear. And it says, Gideon Cole, she writes, Unremarkable, Brutish, Lacks Intelligence. Mmm. Just build a fucking turd right in front of your eyes. Out of nowhere. Got 20 of them. Yeah, I'm fucking smart. I'm the smartest person here. Stupid, stupid doctor. And I do apply myself to riveted, to box. I am not the grandmothers, no. No, not the grandmothers. Shut up about the grandmothers, Grammy. You really should have invested in the grandmothers. Rosie, I hate you. I have an intelligence of play. I haven't used any spell. If I may, trust me, you just spell magic on Torbek. She adds quick to anger to your note. And you want to, at what level? A third. Okay. Third, it's all I got. So I've used my second, or my two, three. Does it seem like it's working? You cannot, do you need to see? Well, no. So you're dispelling the magic on Torbek. Do you need to see Torbek? He's one huge, or magical effect within range. Within range, okay, perfect. Not that I can say, yeah. It is, she has to roll for it. I, there's a boy, right? Cause like, greater rest of it, she's probably, do it. This is a roll for it. And it might be, for a high spell, if you have the level or higher, you're on the target, make an ability check using your spell casting ability. The DC equals 10 plus the spells level. Yeah, so Nikki can just set a DC based on what she thinks the, you know, the DC is 28. Ability check with my spell, real quick. 22. That's pretty fucking good, okay. That is more than enough, the DC I set with 17. So I feel like that, I feel like that beats it. Wow, yeah. To get him out is what he's trying to do. However, I would say, Grico, Maybe we'll use the frost, we're not sure. Grico doesn't, you can't tell whether this takes effect or not. You just reach out and you try to shape the magic around you with the flow of the musical tone, the quality of your voice. You try to disrupt what's happening using the major chords to break away at the stone, this earth stone, this icy encasement that has overcome Torbac and you can't see it. So you're just using your natural musical ability to try to alter the situation. And that is all you can do. Torbac, you are frozen. You feel nothing. And then you feel like you're burning up, but it's not, but it is not the burning of, it is not the burning of fire, but it is the burning of ice. As you come to inside this pouch, so you have one hit point, even though you're at zero, I'll give you one because that was pretty high of a roll. So you get one hit point and you find yourself inside this pouch. I would say you could use your entire turn to try to remove yourself from this pouch, but you wouldn't be able to do anything else. Or you can attack. So I didn't use my bonus action. With that, I would also like to use my iconic inspiration because he only needs to be able to hear me. So after I get him out and I'm saying, Tom, snap out of it. We need you, lad. Come on. And I would say you do this, but you have no idea whether you've gotten him out. Nope. And that's my turn. Are you D8? I believe it's a D8, yes. Got it. And you can also use it for damage rolls and you can turn the damage, change the damage attack type to Thunder. I can use it for damage rolls? That's right. That's right. My headbanger feature. I wake up, the last thing I remember is just getting assily pounded and then everything goes black. It's just utter darkness. And all of a sudden I come to and it's probably still darkness, but do I mean, I must realize that I'm inside this thing. I would imagine, yeah. Okay. Well, I am filled with rage, unlike any rage that Torbac has ever been filled with. This is just disrespectful. This was just, no, it really is. And as a bonus action, I'm going to use all 30 points of my reinvigorate. Okay. I am filled with an inner fire that comes from me being an enforcer. And I am going to spend a bonus action to heal all 30 points and go up to 31. Probably wise. Nice. And then I just start, I start just tearing this thing up on the inside. I just start, like, I can't claw, like really, I'm going to, it's still, it's still me attacking. I'm going to make two attacks, but it is me trying to punch my way out of this thing, assuming the worst I just want to be outside. So I'm going to attack twice. The first one is going to be a 27 to hit. That hits. The next one is only going to be a 12 to hit. That makes sense. Do we know what it's AC is? Because I think 16 doesn't get hit. Oh, yeah. So I'm going to be just shy. So just the one hit will get there, but I am going to add the D8 that Grico gave me. It was a D8. So if you roll max. Oh, you can't add it in concentration. That's better than adding a D8 to the damage. You can actually handle that both. I will try to roll the D4 first because I get it for free. That actually only puts it up to a 13, which means I need to get four better on the D8. Pretty good odds. 50, 50. Four up. Take that bet. Four up. Eight. Yes. So both attacks will land. And fucking go. Which will give me... That's crazy. That's pretty good. 12 plus 12, 24 points of damage over two attacks. That's pretty good. That's decent. And so what I think the only two people would see are Mr. Kremi and Grico would literally see these fist-sized like... Like bulges, like bumps. As I am trying to punch my way out, and you might even hear Torbek snarling in there. Yeah! Just absolutely... Come on, big jump! I will give you the choice as to whether you want to remain inside or whether you want to free yourself from this thing. I mean, I use my ashes to attack. Right, no, I understand that. But I'm saying with that amount of damage, I'd say if you're trying to escape, just know that you are then directly in front of it. Yeah, I mean, if I am able to punch through and it basically opens up and I spill out, I would absolutely take that opportunity if you're giving me that chance. Yes, you could stay inside or you could get out right now. I don't care if it eats me again. Okay. That's fine. I would rather be again interposed between you and Mr. Kremi. You watch as the soft underside of its belly is undulating with punch after punch from Torbek. Eventually, you watch as the ribbed parts of this, the stomach piece tear and Torbek is able to climb his way out and he's directly in front of it. So is this good, you think? Yeah, I think it's good. I was going to put him in line with Greco and Kremi. Like you want to spit a little between us? Yeah. Or we'll push Greco over? Yeah, but maybe Greco gets to push something. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Right in front of it between you guys. Yeah, that's cool. That's cool. I am snarling. I am covered in who knows what snarling is. I'm just a disgusting mess. Oh, Pabagat! My jowls are so fucking messed up. That's a leg! That's a leg! Get up to a make! And that's my turn. And it is then going to use its movement to move around to Greco's side. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh yeah? I am safe in a line. In a line? In a line. No fucking way. I'm saving my reaction. I'm not taking opportunity attack. I'm saving my reaction. Smart. Oh, that's a good question. I could. Smart. I know what I want to do. No. Hold on, hold on. Let me just see. If I had any rea- The first attack was advantage, wasn't it? Because you're a guard dog. Am I about to go? This is his turn? Is this for a name? Technically was. Fissure crit. No. There we go. Thanks for the reminder. I didn't, I didn't anticipate having an attack, so I let it. I don't leave my brain. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I will take a reaction to opportunity attack. And, oh wait. No, I have my heavy laser pistol. Still in reach. Never mind. Okay. Here's what I'll say. Keep it, let me know if we're going to have to make a saving throw here. I am no longer incapacitated because we have the plus five. But if anybody fails, let me know so I can use my pack minded. Okay, that's right. It also gives resistance to the damage. There's no saving throw going on. The creature moves around. And you watch as it begins to suck in all of the cold air that's swirling around you. You watch as the soft underbelly begins to expand with the amount of air that it is pulling in before it lets out an arctic exhale to its arctic inhale. And I need everyone in a 30 foot cone, which I do believe hits frog. No, hold on. Hold on. One, two, three, four, five, six. Hold on. Hold on. 30 foot cone. Yeah. No. There's no way. That's close. I don't think the angle is there. One and a half. Hold on. If he did, if he was, if it was coming from here. I don't think that's 30 feet. We'll have, or one and a half, three. Maybe. Oh, no, no, no, no. Yeah, there's no way. There's no way. So very close. Very close though. I'll hit the rest of you. So the only thing is you don't get the plus five, unfortunately, because you're outside of 10 feet from me. It's better and better. I know. Wait, 30 foot cone, if he chooses this way and then it one, three. But if you fail your test, I can help. I can only pick one person, unfortunately. So I have to figure out who fails their pass there. It's one square here, then three, then five, then. Does it keep going like that? It keeps going like that. Oh my God, it might get him. I think it gets frost too. I'm pretty sure. Let me, let me Google a 30 foot cone like, holy. Image of a cone. Do we have one of these that looks like a cone? No, that's all we got. Just to see how it moves. Oh my God. We have to look up. No, it gets smaller at the end. It tickers off the pet at the end of the athlete. See if you can find another example just so we can hit there. Because like this one, like see those like some of them do some of them don't. It's seven across. Jesus. Six. One, two, three. No, no, no. You're barely outside of it. Okay. So basically. This should be the one that is really inside. It is right here. Oh my God. Oh. But I need those of you that are in it to roll a strength saving throw. Oh, okay. The turret is in it too. I don't know if it matters if the turret is. The turret does matter because it has hit points. So it does hit points. Number plus five. Oh my God. Cremian and Riko get plus five from it. I might actually be trying here though. I thought I'd start it. That's what I thought. I don't think you can. Oh my God. Hit. Dives. Hit. I got a 24. 22. Nice. Oh, plus not. Plus five. Well, I think because it doesn't roll saves it gets just it just takes the damage. And it is. I think it just automatically take the damage. All right. So those of you that. So I'm assuming everyone passed over 20. Yeah. 25. So you'll take full damage. Okay. So I'm going to then use my reaction to use pack minded to encourage the ally. He gets to add one D6 of the target, possibly turn a failure to his success. And then when we get me and the target gain resistance against that damage. Oh, that's great. So I'm going to flavor this is almost like I'm stepping in front of it to like almost some of it for you because you're farther behind me. 17. I think 18. 15. There you go. I'm plus four and then three. So the DC was 17. 18. So what's the ratio? You're a third. No, the pack minded is 30 feet. You're a 10 feet. I'll definitely outside of his. All right. Yeah. Got it. But I beat you with that. And we'll. So we'll take quarter damage to that. Hell yeah. Amazing. The rest of you will take half damage. Okay. And it is. Hold on. I have to do this. My suit jacket is completely. And one of the sleeves is like down around my wrist, but there's no more suit jacket. One sleeve is last play a mecha. Yeah. I got a ton of times over here. Yeah. How many more? How many more? Let me see. So three. I like this. Seven. Eight. Okay. I don't want the D 100s. They confuse me. I'm going to pass those back. You need more? Maybe. Here's another one. I'm passing. I have a regular one that's not 100. I'm going to pass that down. Thank you. This is another 100. Yeah. I use a lot of hundreds. There's another 10 with no hundreds. I need two more. Oh my God. I got you. I got you. Thank you. Uh oh. Everybody gave me. How many do you think? It is. Oh no. I need to give you two back. I need to give you two back. Eight D 10s. It's eight D 10s. I'm out of power. I could still get one shot here. Oh yeah. Me too. I can't. You're full health, right? No, I take it full damage. Can I do that math wrong? Yes. Oh no. Yeah. I can't get one shot. She was rolled total max damage and I would still have a few hit points left. I have to succeed. 27. I rolled very poorly. Wow. 20. I rolled 33321476. High variants. No fucking way. As we've learned from them. They're right here in front of me. So that should be 27. So half of that is 13. Cold damage. And then half of that is six. Damn, okay. Guys. And it pulls you 15 feet towards the ice monster. Whoa. Even passed? Oh no. So if you pass it doesn't pull you. Holy smokes. Oh so it's like a vortex. Yes. It's sucking in and then yeah. And so that is what happened. I'm just going to keep these just in case it recharges. Eat us if we got close to it. That would be bad. I mean who knows. Oh no. Oh no. That's fine. Oh so would it suck the turret? Maybe? Would the turret get closer? Yeah. So the turret would have taken 27. You should be okay. How much is a move? 15 feet towards the ice monster. I'm back in the building again. And that is, that is its turn. Yep that's its turn because we can't. Oh and then so that, now it's the end of its turn. And so there's the frigid aura. So everyone within a five foot area. So that's the end of the turn. So that's the end of the turn. And so that's the end of the turn. That's the end of its turn. And so there's the frigid aura. So everyone within a five foot emanation is going to take. Just get a quick one. Just get a quick one. Damn. Three points. Oh. I rolled a one and a two. Three points of cold damage. And that's, that's the cryo creature's turn. Crummy. Um. I will look up at of Rima. And I'll say, this isn't going to end the way you think it will. You're still that scared desperate little girl on Viridar. Look, you can make all your critters immune to my drugs, but you can't make them immune to my blood. Uh. Results to threatening when scared. And I will turn to the creature and I'll just sort of stare at it like dead in its eyes as it's like slavering down at me. And my eyes will turn almost like pitch black as they kind of crackle and fire as I'm going to use the beam aspect of my Gorgons gaze. And these crackling kind of green and gray black beams will fire from my eyes. The target is to make a deck saving throw. Okay. Okay. We know that it has zero to that. He's not super. He's not super. I rolled a natural 13 plus zero. 15. Well, it fails. There's no damage, but. Oh, it's a bonus action. Yeah. Yeah. Never mind. Okay. This is a whoa. Seven points of damage. Exactly average of necrotic damage. Maybe she didn't make it a meter. This is necrotic. All right. You let loose this. So what was this again? It was seven necrotic damage. Is it? Yes. Necrotic damage. How were you doing this ability? This is like my Gorgon eyes. I'm shooting. I'm using my Gorgon night. You open up your eyes and let forth these necrotic blasts from your eyes and you watch as the, the, this dark necrotic Icar begins to eat away at the, at the ice in casing this creature. But just as quickly as it does, you see the ice overtake any of the necrotic wounds. It does take the damage. It's not negated in any way, but it doesn't seem to affect the creature. All that might be beginning to look bloody. Um, then with my action, what I will do is I'll take my gun and I will turn a knob on it and you'll see it like disengaged with the poison. And I'll say that should do the trick and I will fire off a big attack against it. That is a 14. You see D4. Okay. Yeah. Oh, shoot. You're in the range of my light. Oh my God. I get three or four. Four. I hit. Um, and it is going to connect with this thing. It's engaged with me. Uh, it is engaged. So, and I'm not going to change the damage type. It is just going to do its normal laser damage, which is radiant. Radiant. Uh, so my grade, that's okay. Three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12 points of radiant damage with my, uh, laser. It takes the blast directly to its, uh, soft underbelly, but it is continuous. Uh, but it is continuing to bear down on all of you. Um, I'm going to basically one, I'm going to start to move out of the way, seeing that this thing has an AOE thing and get presumably she's like up here is my guess. So like I will sort of just, I will kind of like just slowly walk towards her and like look up at her and it's like, is this an empty hole though? Isn't this the, it was supposed to be a great. Oh, that's what it came up on. It's not still open though, right? No, I would say the grade is closed. I will race across the room. There's no, no line of escape. Um, I am still screaming. Uh, I am focusing and targeting that scream. Uh, it is, uh, pulsing forward in waves. Uh, and a, a, a massive blast of energy comes out of me, but I try to focus that energy untrained perhaps as though I may be, uh, uh, and, and to turn up the temperature to create this heat. Uh, the first is going to be a bonus action to use my unstable wrath, which every creature in a 20 foot emanation has to make a strength saving throw, including Kremi. So strength saving throw, DC 17. What's the emanation? And Draco. Yeah. A natural 13, you said strength plus 10, so 23. I fail. You get plus five. I, there's no way. Okay. Uh, it's not half. And toward back. All right. Because it covers at least half of his, uh, It's not half. Uh, oh, shit. Oh boy. Uh, what was the DC? 17. 17. I fail. Ooh, I got a 14. I got a 14. I roll a four. I roll a two sixes. Yikes. 12. How much damage? Six, uh, 12. 12, four damage. And it's half if you succeed. Or is it none of you? It's none of you. So that actually does, is effectively worthless. I will spend a side point. Shit. Oh, I'm sorry. I'll spend two. It's two. It's helpful for the monster. Yeah. I've helped the monster. But that's the nature. Uh-oh. That's the nature of a warhead. Yep. Being as reckless and chaotic as they are. I'm not carrying as much of my friends. I want to, but my vision is double. You're a warhead, bro. And I am screaming forward as, uh, I will use, uh, my action, uh, my magic action to enjoy Dragon's Breath again. I need it to make... You, you see this creature in front of you. And for a second, you see standing in front of you, a doctor in a lab coat. You shake your head and you realize, no, it is just this creature. Oh, wow. Ooh. I may have been in this lab, or a lab like it. And, uh, it compels me to destroy this creature. Dexterity saving throw at disadvantage for me. DC 17. Okay. 15. I rolled two fives. Plus 10. Oh no, dexterity is zero. So just five. Five five. Uh, that's going to be, uh, 16 points of fire damage. Nice. Okay, so. Ooh. Uh, as I continue to try my best to contain the pain that is racing out of my, uh, Sionic mind and how does it look like as you're doing this? Um, I would like to, uh, it's almost Dr. Matt Hatteney. Like, uh, I am, uh, like I raised forward because I'm following the creature. But as I, I'm doing that, I'm, I'm, I'm holding my arms out. My eyes and my, my mouth, my, uh, uh, every, every part of me is shining with, uh, uh, Sionic light. But the, uh, you can see like the, the air itself is being warped. I'm superheating what I'm charging into this creature, but there are still pulses that throbbing headache that's coming off of me as an arcs of, uh, of energy. And I'm sure that I'm hurting my friends, uh, but that is actually a very soft, a small voice in the focus that I have to try to crush this creature with my unstable abilities. I think yet again, um, bits of it melt away, but very quickly freeze over. Uh, as the room, it gets so hot for a second that all of you feel a trickle of sweat at your temple before it quickly freezes and turns to, um, little, little icicles as the room, um, descends into cold yet again. Uh, frost that is your turn. All the while the doctor is still just making notes. I get in. Uh, I look at all this cold, uh, piping around me and I break some of it off and I hit it with the dynasteele dude and I form Mr. Freezes gun from Batman, the animated series. Uh, okay. I buy it. Uh, I run up here and I swing it around and I fire from the barrel of withering lightning. Oh, shit. Uh, the, it'll charge and travel for a minute. Uh, and then I'll pull the trigger and a burst of arcing lightning will fire out, uh, which will flow continuously, uh, from me until the target is streaming. I hit it. Um, I guess it is. Yeah. Okay. Ooh. Pretty way to re-roll that. I don't think so. I don't think so. Uh, that is, I think like a nine. Now that misses. Ooh, I will then, uh, bonus action just have my turret shoot it. Okay. That'll hit. Um, and that is to me. You see, she writes, um, incapable relies on, um, Reloit relies on creations. Hmm. I was on fucking super cool equipment. Badass stuff. Anyway, uh, seven points of piercing damage relies on his own inventions. Is that your ability to create and build that's cool and fine. She's not very good scientist. I mean, pretty bad at research. She's trying to call you a tool. Right. She's dumb. Shallow grasp on, um, on simple language units. Brutal. Damn. I'm really, really mad about that. If he could read. Um, and the, the monster continues to, uh, barrel forward. Grico. Um, I. It is breathing its frigid breath down upon you. You have to wait, set this up. I'm going to go fucking clear on the bridge. Cause I've been looking at all the floor. I'm going to make it another round. That's all I'm going to say. So even if you can set up anything, I am going to tee off on this profile. I wanted to see one thing. Take a time. I'm not saying I play your turn. I'm just playing up for audience. Okay. I'm trying to keep everybody engaged. I'm going to, I'm going to pop off. I try to do it. No, no, no. I'll have you in draw my first attack roll. So if I don't roll double ones, but thank you for that, Derek. You're welcome for putting that into existence. It's just going to happen. Speaking that out in the world. You're going to pull my spine out. Predator style. I would never do that. Oh, I am going to, uh, look back, look up at Avrema. And say, Krabby's ride. You made a mistake freaking it. You could so easily take care of us. We're not going to go easily. Even if you freeze us, we're not going to be part of your experiment. You soulless heinous bitch. As I, uh, a stream into it and I am going to, um, going to, uh, say, Me then, to a back is going to turn your BC in a dog chow. And I am going to use that. And I get say that into my microphone. I'm going to cast slow. Oh, this creature at a third level, my final third level spell slot. As, uh, it's going to be a 40 foot queue, but I think I can just position it right here. Right. Does it or no, we have to be able to see the point. Oh, so you could put it in this corner here. But that's like the farthest spot. Right. 40 foot queue is one. It's eight squares. I can't do that. I can't do that. I love where your head's at. It will the center of it. It's 40 feet wide. So you could actually place it here. And it would be its whole thing. And then half it would just be in there. But that's the center point. It should be okay. No, but, but, but. You should be okay. If you can position it. Okay. No, no, no. No. Can I do it here? We're just going to frost. Yeah. I'll do that. Yeah. And I'll take it too. I'll roll the best one. Well, no, if you do it there, hold on. Then you could do it. 40 feet. You have to make it so one of the ends 40 feet, right? And clips it here. 9, 10, 15, 20. Well, no. So it's the, the cube is basically the whole cube is 40 feet. So it'd be if you did it like one, two, three, four. Oh yeah. There's no, there's no. That's just 20 feet. You're getting either me and frost or yes, you can do both of us. I do. Um, you know what? Fuck it. I said it. I'm going to do it. I'll do it to where, just to avoid torn back. Yeah. You'll hit crew. Yeah. Okay. I'll hit you guys. Yeah. That's fine. And so you all need to make, um, I was in saving throws. I haven't taken any damage with you say. Yep. And these would be saving throw. It does. Yep. 16. Yep. I fail. Sorry. 17. Oh. I rolled a natural 14 plus three. Uh, so it just hits my friends. I just, I just did this. We gotta have a conversation about friendly fire. We do. We do. Team meeting after this. I will see. I will see that it is not effective. I can just drop, I can just drop concentration on. Oh yes. So people are saying you pick the targets. It is your choice. Oh, oh, my choice. Great. I'll just use the. Okay. Just use that. Never mind. It's okay. Okay. Good. As then I'm going to use my bonus action to, um, just use iconic inspiration. I'll say, fuck him up, Tobrik. And that is my turn. And I'll set the side. Uh, you have iconic inspiration. Thank you. Um, and I'm going to use my sonic frenzy and, uh, it is going to, um, just give me some temporary hit points and other things. Is that right? Um, she takes another note, relies on expletives to seem powerful when desperate. As my friend steps aside like a well oiled machine, I immediately rush forward and I'm going to begin by using my attack action to make two attacks. The first one is going to be an advantage. I'm basically hoping to create here and use my Cosmics, uh, Cosmics might cosmic conduit to use it for free as well. We'll see here. Here we go. I believe in you. Damn. I got an 18 plus nine is 27 to hit for the first attack. That hits. The second attack will be a 17 to hit. That's, um, and I will still use a bonus action to, uh, cash in on my Cosmic just judgment. Um, I always have Cosmic spite, which is divine to my, uh, spell prepared, but in addition, I can cast it without expending a spell slot once per long rest, which I will cash in on now. Great. Great. Uh, so that's going to be a 2d8 for the first attacks and an additional 2d8 from the, uh, Cosmic, uh, Cosmic Smite. Uh, you watch as the first hit lands squarely on this creature's face. And the second one, uh, I come up with an uppercut, uh, trying to see how much damage I knew as jaw. There's a flash of light as I connect as I channel this inner rage that I have as a, uh, Renegade and Forcer and cash in on my free Cosmic Smite. Uh, not bad. Not bad. That was, uh, 9, 10, 11, 12, uh, plus eight is 20 plus 32 points of damage. 32 points of damage. Nice. Over, uh, basically what is equivalent of three attacks? Oh yeah. Um, the technically, not bad, not bad. If the damage matters. Radiant and physical. Yes. The, the radiant damage is, um, 11 points of radiant damage. Or bludgeoning. Yeah, bludgeoning. Yeah, bludgeoning. You slam your fists into, into this creature and you see that is, um, up this close, you see that it has weakened significantly. Um, you imagine that it is barely holding on. It could be sat. So it's next first attack is at his advantage. That's true. It could have been his turn. Right. Um, you come on and I'm just like in its face. Like I don't care if I could eat again. Like Tormt could just lay down his life first friends. That's all that matters. Damn. Um, really? Derek please, please look at the D six. That is a six. Uh-oh. Um, recharged. Yeah. hell yeah. You watch as it does take damage. Oh, yeah. Oh much at the end of it Not Adrienne. Yeah, I don't think you'll need it It is going to breathe in as it lets out a huge Arctic inhale. I need you both to make strength saving throws. Oh my god Well, it's probably I mean if it I don't know you're the angle guy can I hit like most of the room? I I Yeah, it would it would turn in as many of you as possible. It's back into the corner So I mean it would have to make a choice right the corners like they're technically right It's already like, you know Would the pony they become from outside of it, right? Like yeah, at least wants to hit Greco and torps. Yeah, I think I think yeah I think that like it would probably just go this way if it wants to hit both of them strength 26 So you're going to take the frost damage You know my damage I knew the well I said frost damage it off cold damage. Oh, this is not world war graph. It's okay I mean, it's been a long I love nature damage. That's my favorite type. Yes, and then ideal arcane damage He's immune to creamy damage and then my cast frost fire To do this one again, so that's 20 just don't it's already done Hold on. I just the whole point of this base. What's your overkill damage right now? That's 40. So that's gotta be like 80. I don't want to speak it into existence. I'm aware what it is Okay, I also know this is like not because I don't want anyone cheating. Oh, that's true We're trying to be captured. Yeah, we know that this is not like kill you guys 57 points of Cold damage. I'm not overkill. I'm not overkill. Good gentleman But we take I took half. Mm-hmm. So I that's not close. You're good. You're good. I'm unconscious though And by that I mean probably frozen solid Yeah, I mean I definitely drop this year. I only have 15 left. What was it 31? I got hit for 12 from frost and then I took a 50 something 20 something 20 points of damage. So that's all good zero However, you would like to do that Nikki. I am You immediately freeze into place. There's no way I've 11 hit points left. There's no way Yeah, I'll say see it it then uses its bonus action to move forward and Pull you into its stomach healing 15 And then it is going to its frigid aura is going to radiate out Andy I That's my frozen So I was standing like fucking Han Solo and carbonite in a block of ice I Will mark myself with a blue with a lovely To sit signify I am frozen solid what they just got a brain across the finish line here Yeah This is not going It's all I'm gonna say it's not going well Frost is screaming and and and a hyperheating the air and I'm getting blasted by that Torbic just got consumed again. I don't know if he's alive or dead. Bricko is frozen solid. I'm nice cute and Oh Man Like I think just mechanically I should just shoot this guy is probably the best thing I can do Shoot Do whatever kind of scoundrel trickery Because you both technically are like unconscious writer incapacitated. Yeah, yeah, they're no longer in combat. You're working in the back. I'm Frozen. Oh, yeah Frost you're killing us Take your medicine Leave them out of this. I'm gonna look up at at Rima and I'll say look if you just need me and you let them live I'm willing to talk But I'm putting you fucking beastie down and I'm gonna shoot. I'm gonna bonus action steady aim and I'm gonna fire Oh, man. Oh, man This time you see her take notes that she does not broadcast Wow, I No longer have the aura to go up the global and aura No, all the oras are no no we lost like 50,000 aura points You only have the aura until you succeed and then you stop benefiting from it right the first time for time Well until you use it no, you only get it. Oh, here. Sorry. Yes But no one's no one's we didn't bring it to our back used it. We cheat only once. No, we lose once 16 points of radiant damage You imagine that if it had not been able to heal itself that this would have been enough oh son of a gun I Fight for my life But it is able to take the hit and continue to barrel down on you Incredibly wounded but swirling with frost Not that's not this frost my speed is now zero because I used a steady aim Zero I can't help you. Uh, this is this is Krami's penance, man. This this is fair. Oh, yeah Oh, um And I'll just say if this is about me paying for my sins then let me do it I It I should be out of breath, but my scream is endless as I continue to focus this Braage this feeling of I'm projecting all of the feelings of uncertainty and fear and confusion and The strange psionic well that is within me all onto this creature It represents its emblematic to me of what the doctor did of the experiment of everything that we've seen in the last few days and My feet almost lift off the ground as the The superheated energy that's coming off of me strengthens and intensifies and slammed into this creature I'll use unstable breath as an bonus action to start strength saving throw for you and for you Krami 17 a natural 15 plus 10 so 25 just the matter that I hope I fail this Go flying in the cryo chamber. I fail you take seven points of force damage and you fly back to 10 feet You smash against the wall How much damage seven seven Then I'm going to instead of using dragon's breath. I'm going to trench cast at third level scorching ray and It's going to be for Beams of fiery Superhot psionic energy fly forward. Let's just see how the first three go. I'm picturing it like combustion man That was a natural one this is going to be a Sparky Sparky boom there. Yeah, that's right. Where am I? I 23 to hit that hits. Do we know what the AC is 17? That's a 16. Let's try one more. Oh It's an 18. I'm a clad daren I'm going to use Paragon's blessing No ferocity when I make an attack roll and roll in the 18 I can make it a critical hit. This is now a natural 20 Then I will roll my last one gotta give it up. It'll be another 18 So it already also hits so I'm going to roll two four six 66 nice Croshing fireball. Yeah, that's going to be 16 17 and That was two more right just two more just two more 17 plus 8 is 25 points of fire damage so as I focus my energy Tighter and tighter and tighter just to continuously is no longer just raging around me. Yes I blew back crammy in this moment, but as I lift off the off the ground The the heat gets more and more intense as I push into this creature you Lift off the ground and you you let out multiple blasts of this This fiery psionic magic as your screen Is endless you are stuck in almost this mental prison where the room that you're in is shifting back and forth between The room that you know it to be in a room that you know that you should remember and that you should be able to feel Or that you should you should be able to to describe but it's still Unfamiliar to you while being familiar at the same time You're hearing the sounds of this creature these strange animalistic Beastial noises, but you're also hearing it drowning out what is a human voice a voice you recognize But you don't remember and all of it is making your head throb and Pulse the sound of your heartbeat is so strong now You can feel it in your neck to to to to to to to to to to as you scream and let out this blast and for a moment as White light fills this blue lit room Everything is quiet For just a single moment everything is quiet before you hear the sound of its Soft stomach rip apart and the two forms of your friends clatter to the ground That clattering sound all you hear for a moment is everything else is drowned out And then you realize that that clattering sound has turned into the click click click sounds of Of nails on a keyboard as once again that screen pops up and the zero zero four and your and your picture is next to it Words being typed in Incredibly powerful Mentally unstable dangerous Further further experimentation needed if I see that the Creature is dead and the creature is very clearly dead on the floor This room is the the ice cold air is Rising up out of these greats But it's so warm in here from the psionic blast that you just let out that as it rises up this Almost crystalline air immediately evaporates into steam turning this room into almost a sauna For about a minute or so before the cold overpowers the remnants of that heat and it the temperature begins to drop again I'll I'll drop to my knees with a crack against the tile and scurry back Into the corner as the waves of pain and psionic energy Continue to flow through me if anyone was in was was within range range. They'd have to make a saving throw As I as I continue to As this energy subsides from pouring out of me You practically collapse the ground the pulsing in your head that headache getting so much stronger the two of you You practically blast it up against the wall as you watch your two Frozen friends spill out of this creature and it is Mostly silence as you hear some more of that gentle tapping, but whatever she's typing is not displayed as Avrema's observing expression doesn't change. She simply leans forward into the microphone shame I was particularly proud of this design As I cannot overpower you being outnumbered as I am I will let nexus security deal with you Goodbye, mr. LaCru You're not gonna get away with this She presses a button and suddenly the icy blue light turns to a bright red as a siren roars to life Blaring throughout the facility Avrema quietly clicks off the mic and steps away from it walking through a side door calmly It closes behind her and you are left alone with the corpse of the beast and the melting ice of the cryo chamber Now those of us are gonna escape our past Grammy can you stand are you all right? We gotta help. Yeah, I gotta get to the other two. Are you okay? Go go go I'll run over to uh Torback and um Gritko And as I'm running over there all uh, I'm gonna manufacture a thermal blanket Uh, and I'm gonna make it uh try big enough to get around them Uh and thaw them one at a time as I'm wrapping them up to get them out of this icy condition Uh and uh and Attempt to stabilize them They are you know for the most part stabilized, but you imagine it's gonna take Probably 10 minutes to thaw them So you you throw you throw the blanket over them and you realize that during this time This is all the time that you're gonna be able to spare You need to figure out what you're gonna do to get out of this place. Cremi. I would say you know almost immediately that um That siren is no good and that nexus security will very much be on their way and you are running out of time We gotta go Okay, just um, I'm gonna run over to to to get in and I'm gonna say you just give them these And there's nothing mechanically. I'm just encouraging you to use cure It's on either of them. Oh, they're so fucking frozen, right? Well, yeah, but I'm hoping that that this because right now they're at zero hit points. Oh, yeah, okay. I'll do that I'll give them what So you imagine you're gonna thaw them out, but that they will be unconscious when they're thawing We're playing dolls. Are you are you still? Frost is on the ground his head is throbbing, but it is slowly getting better. I'm calming a little bit, but uh My I would say that my vision finally clicks back into place and uh when Uh the sirens click on that's when I'm able to sort of snap out of it I get to my feet and I'm at your side. I don't Mechanically have any way to to help I can get back and provide emotional support perhaps, but I will while Gideon is administering the the drugs to Torbac and first we'll all turn the frost. I'll put a hand on your shoulder. You okay frost? And I'll like I will have my own bottle of of your pills and I'm gonna pull it out of my jacket and I'm gonna put like Four into my hand and I'll say take these I'm pretty far from okay, crummy, and I'm going to curl your fingers closed around your hand and I'm gonna say medicine when we're free I may Need to access more it hurts, but We have to get out of here and if I need to I may need to Use these powers again, please Later, I need you to not fucking kill you sale frost. You understand? I'll be careful All right, if you need to you take four at once It won't kill you, but It's not gonna feel good I'll put the back in the bottle and I'll put it in my coat pocket. I'll not I'll not you two grab grico, man I'm gonna I'm gonna take tour. We gotta get the fuck out of here. Just just back the way we came and uh all uh Kremys handed me a uh Whatever you would have handed me pills. Uh, you know sort of um like uh Gas I think like almost like smelling sauce. Maybe maybe even like a like a breather Yeah, I'm actually breathing and I put two on each of your phases. You inhale this uh this gaseous that comes through it Uh, you heal 13 points. Oh, hey, you heal eight points. Uh Narratively I will I will because torbix big as fuck I will reach down and and try and like best I can grab one of your arms and sling you over my shoulder And pick you up kind of back onto your feet. Maybe maybe stumbling a little bit. Uh as Ideally we try and move out of here. I don't know if the if the door is seems like it's locked Seems to be sealed. Are you still frozen or are you just unconscious? I'm frozen. They're frozen and technically unconscious But they're not a zero hit points anymore. I will it takes about 10 minutes for the they're slowly defrosting So Warm up or wrapped within it under one side of the rico I'll you're going to have to count you're going to have to figure out how to escape this room with the door locked Is there a is there a panel on this side of the door in the room? There's nothing the door is still locked Yeah, it she locked it behind you. You were trapped in this room the cops to show up And she if it hasn't been a minute I I would say it's definitely been a minute Can I use the very last of my uh my um Uh unbound sigh and my Dragon's breath to try to cyanically open the door. Absolutely. Just try to crush it. Absolutely. I don't care. Who cares about a minute for that Okay, it makes a saving throw. It makes a saving throw. I can't do that. So the door fails. So I'm gonna just roll Yeah, no, I love that You you do not you watch as as Gideon is I'll say you know for the sake of this Gideon you Take all the strength that you have to grab both grico and torbec and you You are attempting to carry them out of this space As frost you do not have time for this you turn your attention towards this door and You had just told crummy that you need to be able to harness this ability you wipe some of the blood From your nose that's now streaming you have some streaming out of your ears and your nose. Yeah, I have blood and I'm thinking of um Uh where I've seen that before as I crumple the Door like a soda can you do as I deal 29 points total damage as I just go And I crush it and uh throw it to the side it bursts through into the office I imagine that it crushes a desk and and flies to one direction you watch as it it is it flies and skids down that Lonely darkened hallway the light once it gets to the the Doctor's office at the very front the light from outside that opened that door still open Shines hitting the metal of the door almost illuminating the room And it's it's as if almost you have a beacon to follow as you begin to rush out of this room and out into the night Um attempting to stay just one step ahead of nexus security struggling to carry grico and you were you were all weakened in there Heavy and you're tired. I will I will put my arm under the other side of grico and like a two by two It takes significantly longer to get down the hallway in your weakened state and by the time you reach the darkened Waiting room office area or that waiting room area Torback and grico you are finally coming to you're incredibly weakened But you guys are able to put them on the ground and continue to run out into the night though You do have to get though. You do have to go a little bit slower But you do finally make your way out of the medical facility. Okay. I'll give you a shit Is everyone alive? We all got it. Don't move too quickly. What happened to the car? We got no time to stand out. Did we get it? Did we kill it? Did we kill it? No, we didn't kill it Barely got you guys out of there We gotta go we gotta go recap afterwards back to the very sex I gained my good slowly like oh cracking out my legs my my frozen bones When you move it's like twisting I'll pull the thermal blanket a little closer as I'm still leaning on gideon and I start to move on my own with this Help finally making your way out of the medical facility You find bernard speeder still there a bit of desperately needed good luck And you see in the distance the wailing colorful sirens of nexus security They are not even in sight yet seemingly having a long response time in this part of town A second spot of good fortune You're able to quickly pile in to the berry sexy the brown luxury cruiser and speed off Realizing you are not being pursued a third and final piece of very good luck Thank you dealer I pulled over to drive safe now. I didn't even know where we're going at this point. I'm just I just start driving back to the hotel Oh back to the back to the hotel. We gotta piss the car We gotta piss the car. It's right the heat. Wow. Yeah Maybe we get close to the hotel and pitch it there. Yeah We can't hope for too far of your condition Oh, I'm warming up I'm warming up I'll just see I just see the good a good chatter, you know a good He's got seat warmers in here. No, it's just for some part a bit of a mansion a little bit of studios You know a bit of suffering to the liquor, you know warming up with a nice point a nice room temperature point That was too close I I thought that was the end I thought that was it I gotta start scheming up a new plan She got away, but we can't stay up here. We got to go back down Let's get back to the hotel. We'll pitch the car We got a pack quick and we got to get the fuck to the elevator before they shut them anything down She knows we're here. She knows what she won't we fucking look like we can't We can't find her another way. We can't finish this mission Not up here Not anymore It's gotta be easy for her to check hotel databases to to find out we're we're fucking checked in We gotta move out of there. She knows crummy's name And then what do we do? Track her down moving around in the street stealing cars She may be able to find us I know nexus perhaps is aware of us now and and I know that everything seemed very serious, but I We have to find her if she does something to Set out Some sort of report that we can never go back down again. Come on. Come on more map It's all right. It's all right. We won't be able to I'll need some flag. I want people to use the elevator again. Everybody breathes one One thing at a time Okay one problem at a time I'm a blurby girl in a blurby world frost your phone starts going off as connection Finally returns to your communication device.
