Hello everyone and welcome to Talk Joshi. This is a bonus episode that you're getting right here on the world of Joshi feed. My name is Matt Turner and folks, we're going to take a look back at Miyu Watanabe's road back to the Princess of Princess Championship. We're going to go back and watch the, not watch, we're going to talk about her four matches, her four fantastic matches in the 2025 Tokyo Princess Cup. And then we're going to close it with that match of the year candidate match that she had back at Wrestle Princess against Mizuki. So five matches in total. Again, the four matches that led her to the Tokyo Princess Cup. And then that fantastic match she had with Mizuki. Before getting to it, folks, hello. Welcome. I hope you're having a great day. I hope you're enjoying all the great content that we're pumping out on the world of Joshi. Whether it's the Patreon feed, whether it's on the Stardom Cast, whether it's on the Marigold Standard, or whether it's here on Talk Joshi. talking about everything going on in the world of Tokyo Joshi Pro, Oz Academy, Marvelous, Sendai Girls, a lot of really great stuff that we're covering. 2024 was huge for us. 2025 was massive. We are aiming for 2026 to be even bigger and better, folks. So I hope you're enjoying it. Again, there's going to be a lot more content, whether it's on Patreon, whether it's on Talk Joshi, Stardom Cast, Marigold Standard, a lot of really cool stuff as we're brightening the horizons obviously if you are a long time listener to the stardom cast first of all thank you we thank you for your support but this is going to be so much more than just stardom obviously stardom stardom cast marigold standard and now here on talk joshi there's going to be a lot of great things that we're going to be doing a lot more bonus episodes like we're going to be doing some watch-alongs like audio only i definitely want to do probably in the next month or so right here on the talk joshi a portion of the world of joshi i definitely want to do some watch alongs with you all again free free of course uh just as a thank you the one match i'm probably going to start is back in cork and hall where it was shoko nakajima teaming with meko sadamaru to take on the team of miyuu wantanabi and miyuu yamashida getting a lot of great stuff myself and andy header we will be releasing or maybe by the time you hear this it is already on your feed a spotlight episode of the magical sugar rabbits once a month we're going to be doing a bonus episode where we spotlight a tag team outside of the stardom in the marigold bubble you know bob bob moment banana is going to be on there red energy is going to be on there team 200 kg is going to be on there daisy monkey is going to be on there there's a lot of really great stuff that we're going to be doing and again this is a great way for me to kind of just get my feet wet here and talk joshi we're doing some stuff outside of the stardom bubble as far as the reviews goes and And again, if you're a Patreon member, again, we thank you. So much great content on there. But you know that I've done high-speed championship reviews of Izumi and Wonder Stardom championship reviews of Ariso Shinki and Momu Watanabe and Red Star championship reviews of Utami Haishishten, Shuri, and so on and so on and so forth. I kind of want to spread my wings a little bit here and kind of go outside the stardom bubble and talk about some of these other fantastic Joshi Puro wrestlers that I've been able to watch over the last few months and give them their just due. spread the world of Joshi out to you fantastic listeners and get more people watching not only professional wrestling but Joshi Puro wrestling so folks the one wrestler that has really caught my eye outside of the stardom and marigold bubble is Miyu Watanabe I'm completely blown away by just her intensity her selling her pacing the way she gets the crowd behind her her crowd psychology really just a fantastic wrestler and I've seen some of her matches here there but myself and Andy Hedder really started doing a deep dive into Tokyo Joshi Pro right around the time of the summer, right around towards the end of the Tokyo Princess Cup. And then we did watch and review that entire Wrestle Princess 6 show from, I believe it was Oda Ward Gym, just towards the tail end of the summer. So I want to go back to Mi Watanabe's return back to the Princess of Princess Championship. So that's what I'm going to do here, folks. Again, this is going to be on the free feed. There's going to be some freebies. There's going to be some stuff on Patreon. and get a lot of really great content that we're going to be pumping out here on the World of Joshi Podcast Network with Talk Joshi, obviously, being one of the podcasts there. So, folks, when we further ado, we're going to get into this, again, four matches from the Tokyo Princess Cup, and then we will end with me talking and breaking down, again, Miya Watanabe versus Mizuki for the Princess of Princess Championship at Wrestle Princess this past summer. So, folks, let's get right into it. Match number one, numero uno, Miyu Watanabe. Her road starts in Shinjuku face on the 27th of July, which is actually my wife's birthday. And I believe that was also the same day as the start of the five-star Grand Prix. They had like 18 matches. So I remember dates pretty well. But, yes, my wife's birthday is the start of the Princess of Princess Cup, as we do have Miyu Watanabe taking on Riku. We are here round number one. And what I really like about Tokyo Joshi Pro's tournaments, obviously I'm a massive fan of tournament wrestling, five-star Grand Prix, the Dreamstar, the G1 from New Japan. Those are all round-robin tournaments. So if you lose a match, one or two matches, you have the ability to come back and win based on how many points you have at the end of the regular season play. What I like about Tokyo Joshi Pro is, and we're watching this right now in the Max Hart tournament, their tag team tournament, is it's different than those other tournaments. it gives us a little something a little different that it's one and done if you lose you're out that's it there is no tomorrow to quote Apollo Creed from Rocky 3 there is no tomorrow if you don't win you go home you're done so I think that's a little bit different than most of the tournaments that we do watch in uh in the Japanese wrestling scene as well as the N1 from NOAA Champions Cardival from all Japan so I like how Tokyo Joshi Pro easy for me to say I like how they did this. They made this a little bit different than all the other tournaments. So again, folks, let's get into it. Single elimination, 16 wrestlers. Here we go. Miu Watanabe taking on Riku from Shinjuku Face. Riku starts out. She's asleep. And then she sings a lullaby to Miu Watanabe. Miu falls out of the ring and Miu almost gets counted out. Nice little funny spot there, obviously, Riku. More of the serious wrestler. However, then once Miu gets in the ring, here comes Miu Watanabe. Big shoulder tackles, the battering ram, the big backbreaker really, really starts laying it in on one Raku. Raku is able to fire back with a face buster, but then Miu hits a batting hammer and the backbreaker for a two count. Raku fires back with some chops, and then Miu Watanabe hits another shoulder tackle, and then Miu Watanabe goes for the giant swing. This is a really cool spot, but then Raku almost does a sit-up while she's in the giant swing and starts hitting those overhand giant baba-style chops to Miyu Watanabe. And then locking Miyu Watanabe into the guillotine choke. And the really cool almost falls here, almost seeing a big upset. Miyu using her strength advantage to muscle Raku up out of the guillotine choke. It's a huge power slam. And then Miyu hits a batting hammer. Raku fires back with a sling blade for a two count. And then we see Miyu with a snap power slam. Giant swing and then the laser beam combination that opens up the door. For Miyu to hit the teardrop, getting the three count, Miyu Watanabe will then go to the quarterfinals. Miyu getting a win over Riku. Fun enough match, more comedy, a little half comedy, half serious. Once Miyu gets going, there's no stopping her. Three and a quarter stars for me. Folks, we go to number two. We're in the Shinigata Grand Hall in Tokyo, Japan. And as Miyu Watanabe, taking our wrestler, I've really been impressed with these last few weeks. One, Haru Kazashiro. Haru is a tag team with Yuki Aino as part of Prison Greed. I've really been impressed these last four or five matches I've seen with her. And this was a great match. And I did not see this match live. I actually didn't see this match until about two weeks ago when I started doing the homework for this. And I thoroughly enjoyed this match. And I knew I was going to enjoy it because, folks, it starts my favorite way to pretty much start any professional wrestling match. a big lockup, big lockup between the two. We get some headlock takeover exchanges. We get some arm drag exchanges. Haru hits a big dropkick on the Miu. Miu comes back with the big shoulder tackle, and then Miu starts the work to Haru back with the Canadian backbreaker with the swinging back breaker Really really great stuff from Miu showing her strength against the young Haru Haru comes back with a second rope jumping dropkick and puts Miyu Watanabe into a Fujiwara armbar And then Haru transitions the Fujiwara armbar into the go-go plata. So again, Haru, I believe, is only 17, 18, 19 years old, something like that. Very versed in the world of submission. I'd like to know where she learned that submission game from because there's a lot of great Japanese dojos that teach that style, but she's very good at it. And again, almost catching Miu here with the go-go plata. Haru then is able to escape some of the power from Miu. Haru almost catches Miu with the European clutch, scoring young Haru a two count, and then hits a crossbody for another two count. Miu wants to not be a big clothesline and locks in the swinging guillotine 2-1 Haru. I thought that was really great. Excellent stuff there. Miu drops Haru with a huge forearm. and then the Buzz Sawyer style power slam that scores a two count. And then Mii Watanabe locks in a reverse version of the Texas Culloverleaf, forcing Haru to tap out three and three-fourth stars. Excellent stuff. We see Mii Watanabe win a lot of matches with the teardrop. So it's nice seeing her win this match with something different. Again, three and three-fourth stars for me. folks we go to the semi-finals on the 17th of august we're in osaka edion arena number two as mii wantanabe taking on favor from everybody especially indie header shoko nakajima these two have had great chemistry before and this is the semi-finals you know this is going to be a good one and boy howdy this was a good one this was a good one now we get some fast chain wrestling to start between the two and then we get a test of strength which obviously me you want to nabi does win however shoko nakajima is very smart she's been wrestling longer than me you want to nabi she uses the test of strength to get the better of me want to nabi in a monkey flip exchange i haven't seen a monkey flip exchange since like maybe rvd jerry lynn some 26 27 years ago i mean it's been a while but it was really cool i was like oh man monkey flip exchange there goes the monkey as raven would said. Really great stuff there. We do get Shoko is able to hit a huge hurt Karana that sends Miyu to the floor. Then Shoko hits a huge suicide dive to the floor. Back into the ring we go. Shoko hits a 619 onto Miyu's knees. That sends Miyu crashing to the floor. I'm sorry, we had an apron fight that Miyu gets the better of the apron fight. However, Shoko hits the 619 to Miyu's knees and then Miyu takes a bump onto the floor. Really great stuff there. Shoko's really starting to pour it on on one Miu. Back into the ring we go. Miu gets the better of a form exchange between the two, and then Miu starts to slow down. Shoko Nakajima with that big swinging backbreaker. Excellent stuff there. Shoko Nakajima comes back with a slingshot senton. Shades of Eddie Guerrero like Taharis from the apron to the inside for a two count. Thoroughly enjoy that. Every time I see that, I think Eddie Guerrero. So, I mean, always put a smile on anybody's face when you think about Juan Eddie Guerrero. Excellent stuff there. Miu hits a series of shoulder tackles and batting hammers to Shoko Nakajima. Miu goes for the giant swing. However, Shoko Nakajima counters the giant swing with a roll-up that scores Shoko a two-count. When Miu goes to kick out, Shoko holds on to the hold and locks in a seated neck crank. Great submission stuff from Shoko Nakajima. Shoko is a very underrated submission wrestler. And we really see quite a bit in this match. Really great stuff here from Juan Shoko Nakajima. Miu comes back with a stinger splash and shoulder tackle. And then Miu locks in the giant swing to Juan Shoko Nakajima. After the giant swing, though, Miu, because of her knee, because of the 619 done to Miu's knee, she starts selling the knee. And so Miu crashes to the canvas, selling the knee. Miu's such a great seller, really great seller. As she's crawling up the ropes to sell off from the knee, even though she did damage to Shoko, Shoko hits Miu with a 619. I thought it was genius because we're going back to the knee pain early on in the match. Then Miu finally has a break to kind of get some blood flowing back in that knee. But Shoko's not giving her any room here. Hits the 619. I thought that was absolutely genius. And then after the 619, Shoko follows it up with a dragon screw leg whip and then a basement 619 to Miu Watanabe's head. Excellent stuff there. Miu's trying to retreat. She gets hit with that 619 to the head. She tries to go to the outside because you can't get pinned on the outside. But as she's crawling to the outside, Shoko Nakajima comes off the top rope and hits a senton onto Miu crawling onto the apron. Great stuff. I've seen Shoko do this a time or two here, especially in tag matches with Hyper Masao. But this was even better because it's like Miu's trying to escape to get a breather. Shoko won't let her. Again, Miu's the stronger of the two, but Shoko has the more experience. So I thought that was really great stuff from one Shoko Nakajima. That was really excellent stuff. Back into the ring we go. Shoko hits a double hook DDT, easy for me to say, to one Miyu Watanabe. Shades of Cactus Jack. Bang, bang. Cactus Shoko Nakajima there. I thought that was great. We do have then Shoko. After that, she goes to the top rope. senton if you've seen shoko nakajima matches she likes to look she likes to do the double underhook ddt into the top rope senton is kind of a one-two combination to win a lot of matches however miyu gets the knees up on the senton and when miyu after get the knees up on the senton goes back to selling the knee like oh like i did that to save the match but man my knees are really hurting i thoroughly enjoyed that um and then after that miyu starts to slow down shoko where They go back to chain wrestling, the headlocks, the arm bars. I really like that, how it's like me. He's like, I'm in a lot of trouble here. My knees are hurting. Shoko's hitting me in the head. She's dictating the pace of this match. I'm the stronger of the two. So she tries to grind her down with some wrestling. And then we go some chain wrestling towards the end of the match, which I've never really seen that much before. But in this context of the match and the story they're telling, made all the sense in the world. I thought it was something different and it was absolutely genius. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Miu obviously gets the better of the wrestling advantage, again, using her strength. Miu goes for the Canadian backbreaker. However, Shoko escapes that, hits a Herakurana. And then after the Herakurana, the Herakurana sends Miu into the ropes. And then Shoko goes for the 619. However, Miu catches the 619 into the giant swing onto Shoko Nakajima, moves she was trying for early on in the match. I thought that was absolutely genius. Really, really great stuff. after the uh the giant swing shoko hits a huge excuse me it's a huge power slam for a two count me you then goes to put away shoko with the teardrop however shoko lands on her feet from the teardrop and hits a northern light suplex uh shoko go to the top rope going for the second time for the top rope senton me you is able to stop uh shoko on the top rope uh top rope fight between the two. Miu then muscles up Shoko with a Canadian backbreaker on the top rope. And after she lets that sit for a minute or two or a few seconds, she then transitions Shoko into a top rope power slam. That was absolutely great. Miu then waits for Shoko to get up. Shoko does that much left gas in the tank after that back to back the top rope Canadian backbreaker into the avalanche power slam. So when Shoko gets up, not much left in the tank. Miu takes advantage, hits the laser beam and the teardrop for a three count four and a half stars oh my god this was great not as good as their match from texas back in the summer but still right there these two are absolutely two of the best wrestlers in all of joshi which is saying something folks when you have a saika matani when you have a mayui watani when you have an azumi a starlight kid and with tommy there's some great joshi pro wrestlers but like me and shoko probably makes my top 10 top 12 list these two are fantastic. This match is great. If you haven't seen this match in a while or haven't seen it at all, load up that wrestler universe, semifinals, Tokyo princess cup. This is must view and pro wrestling at its finest, not just the cool moves, but the selling, the psychology that you think they're going to go one way with the match. They go another, they do things different, but it absolutely makes sense in the context of this match. Folks, we go to match four of our review, March 4 or 5, we go to the finals of the Tokyo Princess Cup. Mii Watanabe taking on one Arisa Endo. This match took place on August 23rd, obviously 2025. We are in the beautiful one Corican Hall. We get a big lockup between Arisa and Mii Watanabe to start the match. And then we get a great headlock takeover exchange between the two We do have Arisa Endo starts working over Miu Watanabe knee Arisa hits a leg sweep into a basement dropkick scoring Arisa an early two count in this match. Miu comes back and she hits a pair of shoulder tackles, dropping one Arisa Endo. Miu then follows up with that swinging backbreaker. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Miu goes to send Endo into the corner. However, Endo reverses that. Arisa hits a corner dropkick and then locks in the camel clutch. Really great stuff there. We do have Miyu Watanabe is able to come back with another pair of shoulder tackles. And then Miyu goes for the giant swing. However, Arisa Endo escapes the giant swing with a roll up for a two count. Arisa comes back with a big dropkick and locks back in the camel clutch. This was a great spot. So Miyu Watanabe is in the middle ring in the camel clutch and then me you just squats up squats up right deadlift almost like deadlift squats up a recent end on the middle of the ring and hits a huge davy boy style smith davy boy smith style power slam i thought that was great and got a huge reaction from the crowd excellent stuff there um and then we do have me you then hits the canadian backbreaker on teresa endo then she after the canadian backbreaker she very much like in the match with shoko nakajima she goes all the way up the top rope with a canadian backbreaker and then turns it into a top rope power slam that was excellent stuff there thoroughly enjoy that um and then we do have uh we do have um miyuan tanabi we have the two of them fighting on the rope which then arisa endo gets the better of arisa endo is able to win the apron fight dropping miyuan tanabi on the apron arisa endo then runs off the apron and does a knee guillotine onto the back of the head of Miu Watanabe. Great stuff there. Arisa quickly throws. She understands the urgency here. Arisa Endo is finally starting to wear down the neck with that knee guillotine off the apron. So she throws Miu Watanabe back in the middle of the ring, locks back in her favorite submission, the camel clutch onto Miu Watanabe. Excellent stuff there. We do have Miu gets to the ropes. Arisa goes to the top rope. However, we get a top rope fight between the two, which we do see that Arisa does get the better of that. Hits the top rope knee to the back of the head of one Miu Watanabe. Arisa Endo goes for the Hercules neckbreaker, the torture rack neckbreaker that she does. Miu stops that. She escapes. Miu hits a batting hammer. We get a form exchange between the two, which Miu gets the better of. and then absolutely obliterates poor Arisa Endo with this huge wind-up battering hammer. Dropping Arisa Endo, Miu picks up Arisa. Miu then locks in the Canadian backbreaker to Arisa Endo. Excellent stuff there between the two. Miu then is able to hit another series of power slams for a two count. Miu then goes for the laser beam. Arisa Endo is able to block the laser beam attempt, hits the water wheel suplex, and then a huge super kick dropping Miu Watanabe. Now they sell. They get time to breathe. They get the time for Cork and Hall to really to react to what they're doing. Miu then is able to, and then after that, Arisa Endo goes for the Herculean neckbreaker. Miu escapes for the second time. Miu hits a laser beam to the back, a laser beam to the front, and then Miu hits the teardrop, putting away Arisa Endo for the three count. Four and three fourths stars. This was great. I did watch this one like a day or two after it happened. I remember I really enjoyed it. But upon a second watch, I enjoyed it even so much more. I actually watched this, the Shoko match, and this match back to back. So each one of these matches, I'm enjoying more. The Raku match on the opening night, three and a quarter stars. The Haro Kazashino match. Again, I'm expecting huge things from Haro in this year and next year. Three and three fourths. that the Shoko match, which absolutely blew my socks off, four and a half stars. And this was the best match of the four. Four and three-fourth stars. Miu Antanabe beating Arisa Endo. What a great sequence. Just these two kind of going back and forth with Arisa working over Miu Antanabe's neck. We do have the Canadian backbreaker into the top row power slam, which I saw it on Shoko and I was blown away. And I saw it here and I still absolutely knocked my socks off. And then just the finish was great. How Arisa is so desperate to get that torture rack neckbreaker onto me. You, but can't do it almost to the point where it's like, she thrown away the rest of her game plan to get that neckbreaker because that's her bread and butter. She tries it a second time and me with laser beam to the back laser beam to the front and then the tear drop. So I liked it. I like how, how, um, Arisa is so desperate to get that hole. But me, you just, just as able to outsmart her there, hits those two laser beams and opens up the door for her grand finale, the teardrop. Again, four and three-fourth stars for Mii. Mii Watanabe winning the 2025 Tokyo Princess Cup. Tokyo Princess Cup. So, folks, we are going to get into the last match here. Obviously, that was all of Mii's matches, those four matches, but it leads us to Wrestle Princess 6 in Oda Ward City Gym on the 20th of September. Sorry, folks, just needed a drink of water. So Mizuki taking on Miyu Watanabe. A little history here. Back at the Ition show back on the 4th of January. January 4th in Cork and home. Mizuki did defeat Miyu Watanabe to win the Princess of Princess Championship. And this was Miyu Watanabe, her road back. Miyu Watanabe originally defeated back at Grand Princess 24. She originally beat Miyu Yamashita to win the championship. and then held it all the way from spring until the beginning of 2025, where eventually Mizuki would then defeat Mii Watanabe. And this is Mii Yu's crawl back up the ladder to win the championship. She had to go through four fantastic opponents to win the Tokyo Princess Cup. And now she has the rematch. The person that did defeat her some nine months earlier in one, Mizuki. So here we go. The rematch that everybody was waiting for. So we start off. Again, Miu Antanami, the winner of the 2025 Princess Cup, taking on current Princess of Princess champion Mizuki. Wrist lock exchanges between the two. Great ground wrestling between the two. And then we basically go from the British world of sports style into the high-speed style of wrestling from both Miu and Mizuki. Miu starts to work over Mizuki's back. Miu is able to hit a backbreaker, starts doing forms, and knees to the back of Mizuki. uh mizuki is able to uh fire her way back hits a pair of drop kicks and then hits that draping corner double foot stomp i don't know she has a name for it i know it goes viral every time she does it and it has been for the last three or four years because i've all even when i haven't been following tokyo joshi pro i've always seen it so i don't know if mizuki has a fancy name when she has her opponent kind of laying in the second rope and she goes off the top and hits that reverse foot stomp she has a name for her folks please let me know thoroughly enjoyed that excellent stuff there. Miu Watanabe then locks in a Toshiaki Kawada style face lock neck crank. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Mizuki then is able to slam Miu Watanabe hitting a, or no, after that, she hits a running jumping foot stomp for a two count. And then Miu goes off the top rope, hits that twisting cross body, almost like a jumping version of the Destino. That score is Mizuki a two count. So Mizuki really using that high, that her high speed style to try to really wear down one miyuan tanabi um mizuki goes for the basement drop kick however miyu sees it coming it's that snap power slam and then follows up with the patent and miyuan tanabi stinger splash shoulder tackle combination excellent stuff there miyu then goes back to her bread and butter looking for the giant swing however mizuki crawls up miyuan tanabi and then goes for a ddt however where we do have Mizuki, Miwantanabi blocks the DDT, and then hits a swinging backbreaker. I thought that was great. It was like a counter to a counter to a counter because these two know each other all so well. Miyu going for the giant swing. Mizuki is able to crawl up, goes for the big swinging pop-up DDT. But on the way down, Mizuki, Miwantanabi is able to switch over Mizuki's own body weight and then hit Mizuki with the swinging backbreaker. The human body is not supposed to go that way. These two with their body control is absolutely insane. This is a really, really cool spot. Excellent stuff there. And then we do have Miyu Watanabe goes for the batting hammer. Mizuki hits a big drop kick that just drops Miyu Watanabe. Mizuki hits a second rope double stomp to Miyu's hand, which I thoroughly enjoyed that. Miyu goes to crawl to try to get to the outside to try to get a little breather However Mizuki follows up with a basement dropkick sending Miyu Watanabe to the apron We get an apron fight between the two Mizuki goes for an apron 619. However, Miyu Watanabe stops that. I thought that was really cool stuff. And then Miyu Watanabe hits a power slam onto the apron after Mizuki's failed attempt at the apron 619. That was absolutely crazy to the point where the American commentating team, and shout outs to Mr. Aku, he sold it as if he got hit with an apron power slam from Mii Watanabe. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Back and forth, they go onto the apron. And then it is Mizuki. It's a snap power slam onto the apron, onto Mii Watanabe. Mii Watanabe goes all the way to the floor. So we're getting apron bumps here. You know it's a big match when we're doing crazy apron bumps. So after Miwantanabe eats the power slam onto the apron, Mizuki goes all the way to the top rope and hits a top rope double foot stomp all the way to the floor. Not to the ring, where there's a little bit of give, all the way to the floor where there's no give, folks. It's a floor. It's a floor. So, again, really great stuff back and forth between the two. You get Miwantanabe eating that snap power slam on the apron and then Mizuki following up with a top rope double foot stomp all the way to the top rope to the floor. crazy crazy stuff back in the ring we go uh Mizuki locks in a cross face onto me you want to Nabi me you gets to the ropes Mizuki goes for the cutie special however um this is a great spot so Mizuki goes for the cutie special uh me want to Nabi is able to squat down to block it and then when she pops back up from the squat she's able to swing her arms through and catch Mizuki into that buzz Sawyer million dollar man style power slam. I thought it was great. There was no running motion coming off it. It was just like I squatted down. I got to squat back up because I got to get back up. Then she swings her arms through and just plants me with that million dollar man style power slam. That was great. We get a little bit of a breather between the two form exchange. And then me want to not be is able to hit a batting hammer. And then Mizuki comes back with the super kick. and then Mizuki goes for the whirling candy. However, Miyu just catches her out of midair and then is able to swing Mizuki into the giant swing. That was great. Really great sequence between the two. We do have Miyu Watanabe after the giant swing. She goes for the Canadian backbreaker. Mizuki is able to slip out of the Canadian backbreaker, locking in Miyu Watanabe into a rear naked choke. And then Mizuki, our champion, transitions the rear naked choke into a cross face that was great however into the cross face then miyuu wantanabe deadlifts mizuki takes her all the way to the top rope and hits a spinning power slam off the top rope just great strength here from miyuu wantanabe and a lot of big bumps for counters between the two again you know this feels big even if you didn't know this was a championship you're watching this match like six seven minutes in because of all the bumps they're doing you're like this match feels important and it is an ode award going absolutely crazy and so is the commentary really great stuff between the two um and then we do have uh miyuan tanabi goes for the teardrop however mizuki counters that by popping up off miyu with a drop kick and a release cutie special mizuki then follows it up with a whirling candy everyone that would be the that was the finish because it was a great finishing sequence however miyuan tanabi kicks at 2.9 Mizuki then goes to the top rope while Miwantanabe is standing. And she is a top rope double foot stomp onto Miwantanabe's chest. I've never seen that before. I've seen Sari. We've all seen Sari do the running one where the opponent is kind of like in a sit-up position. But never from the top rope. That was absolutely crazy. That score is a two count. And then we do have Mizuki goes for the laser beam. Excuse me. Mizuki goes for the cutie special again. Miu Watanabe blocks the cutie special, but instead of blocking like she did last time with the power slam, she blocks it with the teardrop. However, Miu Watanabe cannot follow up due to that insane standing double stomp. However, when Mizuki comes up, Miu hits a laser beam, and then she hits a spinning teardrop. Putting away Mizuki for the three count, I had this at five stars. This is my favorite Joshi match that I've seen all year outside of stardom and Marigold. I was saying something because I watched a lot. This one was probably myself and Andy Hedder. For you Patreon members, we did our top 10 favorite Joshi matches this year. This one just missed. This one just missed. It's going to show you how great Joshi Pro Wrestling is. A lot of people had this as their Tokyo Joshi Pro Match of the Year. I know I talked to a friend of the show, Andy Syke from the Tokyo Joshi Pod. This was his TJPW Match of the Year. Some people are saying this is a top five. one of the top five best TJPW matches of all time. This was great. This was great for my money. I'm going back into watching some of these matches. This ranks right up there with the Miyu-Wantanabe Grand Princess match with Miyu Yamashita, the match that happened in the summer of 24 against Shoko with Miyu-Wantanabe and Shoko, and as well as that match I saw just a few weeks ago in Korkenha with Miyu-Wantanabe versus Suzumi. So a lot of the best matches I've seen in my short time watching Tokyo Joshi Pro, Tokyo Joshi Pro, excuse me, all involved Miyu Watanabe. This is great. Every match was different. The Raku stuff is really funny because Miyu almost gets counted out like a minute in. She comes back, wins the match. Again, the Haru match was great. I'm expecting so much great things from Haru coming up this year and next year. And again, of course, the match with Shoko Nakajima was absolutely terrific. uh the endo match somehow was even better and then um this match here with um part of me mizuki was great again me you want to know he's a very special talent uh just a wrestler that i'm just going back and watching a lot of her stuff i was i've been watching uh this past weekend some of her matches in 2022 just you can just see like she's destined for great things and really excited to a lot of people gave me some matches to watch with her and rika tatsumi part of daydream but i'm excited to see what her run is going to be as princess and princess champion i know she's obviously wrestling yuki arai and grand princess 26 here in about two months time i just don't expect tokyo joshi pro to take the belt off me you want to nabi anytime soon she really seems like she's the hot commodity now not only in tokyo joshi pro but all in all of joshi you know i mean uh she's her name is being talked about quite a bit you know i mean right up with some of the best wrestlers in stardom and marigold so again folks this is really great i hope you guys enjoyed this let me know uh send me a message let me know in the comment section um you know if you guys enjoy this because this is something that i i would like to do more of i like to go back maybe in 2024 i'll go back and look at daisy monkey's run and the max heart tournament maybe i'll go back and look at some of these other runs in these tournaments only like four or five matches long you know when i'll probably include the title match like i did here so you know the homework won't be as crazy as involved yet it's still be fun like a quick hitter episode this one's going to clock in somewhere around 40 minutes you know uh give or take so i really enjoyed this one guys again this was great this match with me you want to nabi mizuki five stars just let me know guys let me know if you like this format if you like these extra episodes that we're going to be doing here on talk joshi and the stardom cast and the you know the all the patreon stuff and the marigold standard let me know what you guys want to see and what you guys want to hear because it really is all of our podcasts.
