This episode of 365 con Dios explores the biblical principle that God honors secret acts of generosity and humility. Host Wendy Nessio-Sup teaches from Luke 14 about the paradox of the kingdom: true exaltation comes through humility, and genuine reward comes from giving without expectation of return. The episode emphasizes that God keeps a perfect record of all acts done in faith, even those unseen by the world.
Insights
- Humility is not weakness but a spiritual positioning—recognizing your correct place in relation to God, which paradoxically leads to divine exaltation
- Transactional generosity (giving to receive recognition) already has its full reward in human approval; true kingdom reward requires giving without expectation of return
- God operates on a different economy than the world—He rewards invisible acts and secret service that cannot be leveraged for social capital or business advantage
- Faith is not waiting for God to open the way before stepping forward; it is stepping forward knowing He will open it
- Memorizing God's faithfulness through personal altars or reminders is essential for spiritual formation and passing faith to future generations

Discovering the God who fulfills what He says. With Wendy Nessio-Sup. 11th of April, promise 101. God will honor what you did in secret. Lucas, chapter 14, verses from 11 to 14, in the new living translation says, Those who excel themselves will be humiliated, and those who humble themselves will be exalted. Then Jesus went to the infirmary. When you offer a lunch or a banquet, he said, Do not invite your friends, brothers, relatives or rich neighbors. They will also invite you, and that will be your only reward. On the contrary, invite the poor, the illicit, the blind, the blind. Then, in the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not return you favor. These same verses from 11 to 14, from Lucas 14, in the Bible the message says, What I tell you is this, if you get up, we go to the head and get up, they will end up falling from the floor, humiliated. But if they conform to what they are, they will be exalted. Then, he went to the infirmary. Next time you organize a dinner, do not invite your friends, your family and your rich neighbors. The kind of people who can return you favor. Invite some people who never receive invitations. The marginal ones of the poor parts of the city. Then you will be and you will experiment a blessing. They will not be able to return you favor, but the favor will be returned to you. And how? In the resurrection of the people of God. Here, Jesus is in the house of a prominent Pharisee, someone very important. It is Saturday. Look, just there is a banquet and in the culture of the century one, a banquet was not just a meal, no. It was a public statement of status. The place where you sat, you decided who you were. And to whom you invited, he said, How much power you had. Everything worked as a network of favors, of reciprocity, as something of image. And Jesus enters that environment and says exactly the opposite to what culture taught. Because Jesus always spoke of the kingdom of the reverse. He does not say abstractly, he says looking at the guests who competed for the best seats. He says looking at the face of the infantry that had built his list of guests very carefully. And in two movements, he turns the whole system to full. I love Jesus how he takes the party to everyone. Verse 11 says, Those who excel themselves will be humiliated. And those who humble themselves will be exalted. And here it tells us humility, that humility is not weakness. Humility is a spiritual position. There is a word in the original Greek that is worth understanding. The word translated as humiliation is taipenó. And it does not mean to despise, it means to get rid of. It does not mean to believe that you are worth nothing. It means to position yourself correctly in the place where you should be. Neither up nor down. It is a term of positioning, of alignment, of recognizing who you are and who God is. And of placing yourself in the place that corresponds to that relationship. When you excel, when you manage your own ascension, when you self-promote, when you build your reputation, suddenly you take care of your image, you make sure that the right people see you in the right place. And Jesus says, If you do that, you have already received what you were going to receive from that strategy. In other words, you gave it to yourself. But when you humble yourself, when you surrender, when you stop competing for the place, something different happens. The promise says, they will be exalted. In the language of the Bible, that passive voice has a name and is called a divine passive. It means that God is the people, not you, not the people. And here the paradox of the kingdom is, when you excel, when you are proud, you compete with God for glory. And we cannot compete with God for glory. In that competition, we will always lose. But when you surrender, the fight will be yours. And in that battle, you always win. The world says, position yourself, you are important, your name comes out to shine everywhere. What you do, nobody will do it. The kingdom says, when you stop positioning yourself, it is when God can do it. And this is completely counter-cultural. In a world where everyone wants to stand out, where social networks are built based on the constant exhibition of your achievements, not many post their sad days, their difficult days. We post our happy days, our happy days, our happy days. It is in this time when humility is perceived as ingenuity or as a lack of ambition. And Jesus says something that sounds like a coincidence. He says, get down and I will raise you. And it is not weakness, it is the most powerful strategy of the spiritual universe. Do not raise you, let God raise you. Do not let God raise you, let God put you in the right place. Verses 12 and 13 says, when you offer a lunch or a banquet, do not invite your friends, brothers, relatives and rich neighbors, because they would also invite you and that will be your only reward. And look at what Jesus is saying here. He does not say that inviting your friends is bad. He does not say that. He says that if you only invite those who can return the favor, you have already received all your reward. The transaction has already been completed. There is nothing more to wait. It is an idea that is disturbing if you think it right, because how many times do we give? But calculating. How many times do we serve? Yes, but waiting for recognition, waiting for a thank you. How many times do we help? But measuring if the person will remember that help we gave. How many times have we been generous with whom they can talk well about us, with whom they are in the position to benefit us, with whom they are part of our network, of our circle of friends? But Jesus looks at that and says, that already has its reward. You already received your reward. It was the approval of the people, it was the applause of the people, it was an invitation to return. You already had your social recognition. All that has already arrived. You already have your likes, you already have your comments, you have your followers. There is nothing more to wait for in heaven for that action. Because the motivation was horizontal from person to person. And the reward was also horizontal. But then he says something totally radical. On the contrary, he says, invite the poor, the lazy, the coward and the blind. In the translation of the Bible, the message says so. Invite those who never receive invitations, the marginal ones from the poor parts of the city. I said, why those? Precisely because they cannot return you anything. They cannot invite you back. They cannot speak well of you in the right circles. They cannot improve your reputation. They cannot increase your community. They cannot pay you the favor. And that is exactly the point. When you help someone who cannot return you anything, you are demonstrating something fundamental. That your source is not the people, your source is God. Because if your source were the people, you would not be unguaranteed of return. The fact that you sow where there is no human harvest is the evidence that you are connected to another economy, the economy of the kingdom of God. The world says, give to receive. God says, give even if you do not receive. Because I am your reward. And here there is a huge difference between those two phrases. The first is a calculated investment. The second is a declaration of trust. The true generosity is never measured by what you give. It is measured by what you do not expect to recover. I have told you. And in verse 14, Jesus tells you, then in the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not return you the favor. This phrase is the one that changes the whole story. Because Jesus does not say, God will bless you next week. He does not say, you will see the fruit in 30 days. He does not say, you will go better in business. He says, in the resurrection of the righteous. And this is in eternal time. It is a horizon that is completely out of your capacity to manipulate it, to oppress it, or to charge it before time. That is practically what I am telling you. It is exactly what will purify your motivation. Because if the reward is immediate and if it is visible, there would always be the temptation to do the good to charge it soon. But when the reward is in the resurrection, you cannot use it as a currency of change today. You cannot presume it, you cannot show it. It does not serve you for campaign, to impress anyone right now. All you have to do is trust. And that is exactly what God is looking for. Here is something powerful to understand. There is a register that the world cannot see. There is a book that does not work with the logic of human recognition or achievements. That every act of silent service, that every generosity, that no one applauded, that no one saw, that every time you helped someone, that he could never thank you, that he could never return your favor. All that is being registered in God. Sometimes you love and sometimes you don't love yourself back. Sometimes you give and you don't like it. You serve and no one sees it. But in the kingdom it works differently. God never forgets what the world ignores. And do you know what? Isn't that a second category consul? For those who did not receive recognition here? No. It is the central promise of the system in which we are operating. The system of the kingdom of God that has no flaws, that does not lose data, that nothing happens to it, that does not forget generosity. Everything that is done in God and for God has a reward. Although the whole world has gone through it. And I want to show you four ways to live this promise. The first one. Do something good today without telling anyone, without publishing it on social networks, without mentioning it. Train your heart, but to live for God. Not for the approval, not for someone to thank you, not to receive applause. If you feel the need that someone knows it, you already had your reward. The second. It serves where there is no visibility. Look for a place of service where no one sees you come, where no one applauds you when you leave. That is a place without public. It is where the genuine character is formed there. Third. Always evaluate your motivations, but do it with honesty. You are giving for love, or you are giving to be seen. And here there is no shameful answer, but honest. God works with our honesty, not with our actions of kindness. Because we cannot deceive God. He knows our heart. He knows if we are generous or not. And fourth. Always, but always in people who cannot give you back the favor, who cannot give you back anything. Invest time, energy, resources, in someone whose response capacity is simply to receive. You know why? Because that activates God's reward. And there are things that I have never told publicly. And today I share them not so that they can see me, but so that they can see what God can do when a heart is given to him. There have been Christmas when God has moved me to prepare canastas, to live, to knock on doors and leave them. And leave without anyone knowing it was me. There have been nights when I was walking down the street, and I saw someone suddenly older and something inside me said, give him what you have. I did it without telling anyone. God has put me in the heart to give Bible and not because I am special, but because he is generous. And when one gives to him, that generosity begins to flow through one. I did not do it to be recognized. I did it because God put it in my heart. And today I understand better than ever what Jesus was saying in Luke 14. God will honor what you did in secret. What reminds me so much is the time I gave my digital book, 365 with God. I put it on my website, I sent it by email, without charging $1. People said to me, what a fool, how are you going to give it to me? The editors told me, you already gave it to me, that is no longer profitable. And I heard all those voices, but I kept giving it to them. Do you know how many people downloaded that book in a year? More than 100,000 people. When the second book arrived, physical, no longer digital, God took it to places where I had never been alone. And I looked at it and thought, there it is. There is my reward. I did not look for it, I did not calculate it. I did not produce it. I simply saw what I had, without expecting it to return to me. And God honored what I did without expecting recognition. God knows my heart. And that is exactly what Jesus wrote in Luke 14. The reward God keeps for those who give without expecting anything else. So today we decide to live with a humble heart. We do not need to be seen by people, we need to be seen by God. And what He honors, nothing or anyone can stop it. Now with me, I tell Him, Lord, I give my heart in front of You, take away from me all pride, all the need for approval of people, all incorrect motivation. Teach me to give without expecting, to serve and do it with genuine love. To live God to please you, to hear your voice, Holy Spirit, when you call me to be generous. I trust that You are everything I do secretly and that in Your time, in Your time, Lord, You will raise me and that My reward comes from You. In the name of Jesus, amen. The readings that accompany us today are found in Joshua chapter 3 verse 1 to chapter 4 verse 24. Luke chapter 14 verses 7 to 35. Psalm 80 verses 1 to 19 and Proverbs chapter 12 verses 27 to 28. Now I ask you to take your Bible, your lapisero, your notebook, open your heart, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you, put your lips of faith, brush your teeth, we begin in 3, 2, 1, go ahead. Joshua chapter 3 verse 1. Early in the morning, the next morning, Joshua and all the Israelites left the Roleda of Acacia, they arrived at the shore of the Jordan River where they camped before crossing. Three days later, the Israelites went to the camp and gave the people the following instructions. When they see the priests, they take the ark of the pact of the Lord, their God, leave their posts and follow them. Since you never before traveled this way, they will guide you. Stay a kilometer behind them and keep a good distance between you and the ark. Make sure not to get too close. Then Joshua said to the people, purify yourself, because tomorrow the Lord will make great wonders between you. By tomorrow, Joshua said to the priests, get up at the ark of the pact and guide the people to the other side of the river. So they set off and went ahead of the people. The Lord said to Joshua, from now on, I will start to turn you into a great leader in the eyes of the Israelites. You will know that I am with you, just as I was with Moises. Give the following order to the priests who take the ark of the pact when they arrive at the shore of the Jordan River, take a few steps inside the river and stop there. Then Joshua said to the Israelites, come and listen to what the Lord says to your God. Today you will know that the living God is among you. Without a doubt, he will expel the Canaanites, the Itites, the Ebees, the Ferecees, the Herces, the Amorreos, the Hebusians in front of you. Look, the ark of the pact that belongs to the Lord of all the land will guide you to cross the Jordan River. Now choose 12 men from the tribes of Israel, one of each tribe. The priests will take the ark of the Lord, the Lord of all the land. As soon as your feet touch the water, the current of the water will stop up and the river will rise like a wall. Then the Israelites left the field to cross the Jordan River and the priests who carried the ark went ahead of them. It was the season of the harvest and the Jordan River was abiding its cause. But as soon as the feet of the priests who carried the ark touched the water at the river's edge, the water that came from the river above stopped flowing and began to rise to a great distance there, at the height of the city called Adan, which is close to Seretan. And the water that was below was disembarked in the Dead Sea until the river's bed was dry. Then the whole town crossed near the city of Jericho. Meanwhile, the priests who carried the ark of the Lord's pact were left standing on the dry land in the middle of the river, while the town was going ahead of them. The priests waited there until the whole nation of Israel finished crossing the Jordan River. Joshua chapter 4 Once the whole town finished crossing the Jordan River, the Lord told Joshua Now choose twelve men, one of each tribe. Tell them, take twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan River, from the same place where the priests are standing. Take them to the place where they are going to camp tonight and a lot of them there. Then Joshua called the twelve men he had chosen, one for each tribe of Israel and told them, Go to the middle of the Jordan River, face the ark of the Lord your God. Each of you must take a stone and carry it to the shoulder. There will be twelve stones in total, one for each tribe of Israel. We will use them to build a commemorative monument. In the future, your children will ask them what these stones mean and you will be able to tell them. Remember that the river stopped flowing when the ark of the Lord's pact crossed there. These stones will remain as a reminder in the people of Israel forever. So the men did what Joshua had ordered and took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan River, one for each tribe, as the Lord had told Joshua. They took them to the place where they camped that night and built a monument there. Joshua also piled up another twelve stones in the middle of the Jordan River, where the priests were standing, carrying the ark of the pact. The stones continue there until today. The priests who carried the ark were in the middle of the river until all the commandments of the Lord were taken to the end. Moisés had given them to Joshua. Meanwhile, the people were forced to cross the river. And when they were all safe on the other side, the priests finished crossing the ark of the Lord while the people were watching. The warriors armed with the tribe of Rubén, the tribe of Gad and the half tribe of Manasseh, went ahead of the Israelites to cross the Jordan as Moisés had indicated. Those armed men, about forty thousand in total, were ready for war and the Lord went with them while they crossed towards the Yannurah of Jericho. That day, the Lord turned Joshua into a great leader to the eyes of all the Israelites, who, for the rest of their lives, respected him as much as Moisés had respected him. The Lord had told Joshua, order the priests to carry the ark of the pact, to leave the river as Joshua had ordered. As for the priests who carried the ark of the pact of the Lord, they left the river and their feet stepped on firm ground. The waters of the Jordan were flowing again and they overflowed the chaos as before. The people crossed the Jordan on the tenth day of the first month and then camped in Gilgal, in the east of Jericho. It was there, in Gilgal, where Joshua piled the twelve stones he had taken from the Jordan River. Then, Joshua told the Israelites, in the future, his children will ask, what does these stones mean? And you can tell them, here is where the Israelites crossed the Jordan on dry land. Because the Lord, their God, dried the river to your eyes and kept it dry until everyone crossed, as they did on the Red Sea. When it dried, until we all finished crossing. They did it so that all nations of the earth knew that the hand of the Lord is powerful and so that you would fear the Lord, their God, forever. I want to start by saying, dare step on as much as possible. The people had arrived at the Jordan River, the last natural limit before entering the promised land. But, there is always a but, the river was desborn by the season of the harvest. It tells us, Joshua chapter 3 verse 15. But that does not stop God. God does not stop the waters before they walk, but when the priests step on the water. This is interesting, right? In Hebrew, the Jordan name means the one who descends. And many times before conquering something, God makes us cross what descends, to teach us to trust in what He raises. Faith is not to wait for God to open the way, it is to walk knowing that He will open it. Once I heard a song in Portuguese that says that if God does not open the sea before our eyes, He will make us walk over the waters. For 40 years Israel walked without land, and now God calls it to enter by faith. The Jordan was not only a geographical brand, it marked the transition between a generation of survivors and a generation of conquerors. And I want to tell you something, God did not bring you here to leave you only by wetting your feet on the shore. God wants you to cross the other side. But what happens? God always has an order. In Joshua chapter 3 verses 3 to 6, Joshua orders the people to follow the ark of the pact, which was the tangible symbol of God's presence. So, strategy was not military, strategy was spiritual. Sometimes we want to do things in our strength, but God moves us to do it in prayer. And Joshua gives instructions, the Bible says that he gives orders, but these orders were to follow the ark, to follow God's presence, to do things that God says. The distance between the people and the ark was from 2002, which meant direction. God was giving them a clear direction. What do I want to tell you? Before you start doing anything, make sure God goes ahead. Do not make decisions only by urgency or by emotion, but follow God's presence. Do not follow your impulses, your emotions, do not associate yourself with people you should not associate with. Ask yourself if God's presence goes first, if God is ahead of this matter, if God is taking you to that place, if God is not, if you do not feel that God is there, then do not do it, do not embark on that business, do not do it in that society. You will never be able to lead with wisdom, if you do not learn first to follow God with obedience. And then in verse 7, God speaks to Joshua and reminds him, the Lord said to Joshua, from today I will start to become a great leader in the eyes of the Israelites and they will know that I am with you as I was with Moses. Verse 1, verse 5, God said to Joshua, no one will be able to face you while you are alive, because I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you nor will I abandon you. And in Deuteronomia chapter 34 verse 9, he says, Joshua was full of wisdom because Moses had put his hands on him. So all these verses were a reminder for Joshua, my presence will be with you. I will make the Israelites see you with good eyes, they will find a good leader in you. And then in Joshua chapter 14, God orders him and tells him, choose twelve men, one by tribe, and tells him, take out a stone from the dry milk of the Jordan and place it as a sign, as a memorial, as a reminder. Why? Because generations will come that did not see the miracle, that they will not know everything that I did for you, but they need to remember it. Joshua 4 verse 6 says, these stones will serve as a sign between you and in the future, your children will ask you. We live in a culture of oblivion where the children do not know who God is, everything that God has done. At the beginning, a video of some children who said, what are we celebrating Christmas? They said, no, they give us gifts, but they did not know what the real meaning of Christmas was. They did not know why Christmas was celebrated. This new generation has forgotten the things that Jesus came to earth to do for us, to deliver his life for us. So we need to remember the new generations who God is. God does not just want to give you miracles, he wants you to learn to memorize those miracles, the things that he has done for your life. And if your children do not ask you, it does not matter, just remember them, remember them and tell them what God has done to you. Today we save thousands of photos, but we do not print almost none, right? And so God has done things that we have forgotten, because we do not print them in our mind and in our heart. The altars are that spiritual impression. And I do not talk to you that you build a physical altar, no, no, no, for nothing. I do not talk to you that you have a reminder of the moments when God made you cross impossible things. You said, I will never be able to achieve this, but God, God made this miracle. I have a reminder, something that reminds you of living in holiness. For example, in my case, I have a ring that I made with a cross. Every time I look at that cross, I remember what Jesus did for me on the cross. It helps me to live in holiness, but it also reminds me that I should not go down from my cross, I should carry my cross and follow Jesus. Then for many years my dream was to travel to Paris. I said, when will I travel to Paris to see the Torrifel? I thought at some point, I said, well, when I get married, I would like to be asked by the hand of the Torrifel. And who my ring, my ring of commitment is of the Torrifel. Well, I spent time, I did not get married. And I said, well, when will it be the day that goes? Until I gave up, I took out all my liquidation and said, I'm leaving, I'm leaving Paris. So I asked myself to make a ring of commitment in gold. And this ring was the Torrifel. And I said, I'm going to go. When the Torrifel arrives, I'm going to put this ring to renew my commitment with God. Because he is my first love. And well, to make the short story short, I traveled to Paris. I paid my tour to go up to the Torrifel. And when I was up close to the sky, I put my ring on and said, God, today I renew my commitment with you. Every time I see my ring, I say, I have a commitment with God. I am a woman of God. He fulfills our most yearning dreams. And I have my memories. You can also have your memories, your memories. Don't ask your children to inherit your faith, if they cannot see your memories, your memories of the fidelity of God. Then my parents, in one of my birthday, gave me a ring that Nebreau said, I am of my love and my love is mine. And I said, oh, with this I completed. I have my ring of commitment with God and I have my ring of marriage, practically. Now I ask you, what are you facing that requires you to step by step before seeing the results? Make a list of those stones you need to put in your memorial. Write 12 moments in which you saw God work in your life. And I present them to you. Share them with others. Tell your family. Record a testimony and say, God, thank you because at this moment you were faithful. Here are people who today are going through cancer. And they have said to God, Lord, I have made you a commitment that if you take me out of this, I will give you a testimony. I will have a memory of everything you have done for me. Well, when your treatment is over. Tell them, Lord, I don't know, I'm going to buy a bracelet, some earrings, something that reminds me that you were faithful to me, that you are my healer and that I will never forget all the things you have done for me. Never go anywhere without the presence of God. Evaluate if you are following the ark or following your agenda. Take a break now and tell God that you want him to go ahead in all things. Because when God goes ahead, you have the guaranteed victory. And I want to pray. I want you to accompany me in a prayer because I feel that God is in this moment here. God, I want to walk towards everything you have promised us. And that although my feet do not see the impassable river, I want to walk in faith. Give me faith to step, the value to cross, the memory to never forget everything you have done for me. I want to follow your presence, not my plans. I want to build memorials in my life, in my mind, in my heart that speak for all the blessings that you have given me. Thank God because I follow your footsteps and I know that I am going on a good path. I pray in the name of Jesus, amen. Now we read Luke 14 verse 7. When Jesus saw that all the guests at the dinner came to sit in the place of honor near the head of the table, he gave them the following advice. When they invite you to a wedding party, do not sit in the place of honor. What would happen if they invited someone more distinguished than you? The hostess would come and tell you, this person was being delayed. You would feel ashamed and you would have to sit anywhere else that has been free at the end of the table. Rather, occupy the most humble place at the end of the table. So when the hostess sees you, she will come and tell you, friend, we have a better place for you. Then you will be honored in front of all the other guests, because those who stand up to themselves will be humiliated and those who humiliate themselves will be exalted. Then Jesus went to the infirmary and said, when you freshen up the lunch or give a banquet, he said, do not invite your friends, brothers, relatives and rich neighbors, because they will also invite you and that will be your only reward. On the contrary, invite the poor, the lazy, the coward, the blind, and then in the resurrection of the righteous, God will reward you for inviting those who could not return the favor. When hearing this, a man who was sitting at the table with Jesus exclaimed, what blessing will be to participate in a banquet in the kingdom of God? And Jesus replied with the following story. A man prepared a great party, sent many invitations, and when the banquet was ready, he sent his servant to tell the guests, come, the banquet is ready, but everyone began to put excuses. One said, I just bought a field and I must go inspect it, please excuse me. Another said, I just bought five sets of balls and I want to go try them. Please excuse me. Another said, I just got married, so I can not go. The servant returned and informed his love what they had told him, and his love became furious and said, go quickly to the streets and streets of the city and invite the poor, the lazy, the blind, the coward, after doing it, the servant informed him, there is still room for more people. Then his love said, go to the stairs and behind the bushes and anyone you see insists that you come so that the house is full, because none of the first guests will try a handful of my banquet. A great crowd followed Jesus and he turned around and said, if you want to be my disciple, you must erase the others, your father, your mother, wife, children, brothers and sisters, yes, even your own life, on the contrary, you cannot be my disciple. Also, if you do not load your own cross and follow me, you cannot be my disciple. However, do not start without calculating the cost, because who would start building a building without first calculating the cost to see if there is enough money to finish it? Perhaps only the cimins finish before you have no money left. Then everyone will laugh at you and say, there it is, the one who started a building and could not finish it. Or what king? I would enter a war with another king without first sitting with his advisers to evaluate if his army of 10,000 can defeat the 20,000 soldiers who march against him. And if he cannot, he will send a delegation to negotiate peace conditions while the enemy is still far away. So you cannot become my servant without leaving everything you have. The salt is good for condiment, but if you lose your taste, how will you be salad again? The salt without taste does not serve us, neither for the land nor for the bono. It is thrown away, the one who has ears to hear, who listens and understands. The first thing we see here in verses 7 to 11 is the banquet that reveals the heart. Jesus observes how the guests look for the most important places and as a good teacher takes advantage of teaching them. He says in verse 11, the one who grows up, the one who is proud, be humble, and the one who humbles himself will be enlarged. In Jewish culture, the banquets had a hierarchical order. Choosing the first seats was a status symbol. Where you sat in front, you had a good status. But Jesus is not talking only about a table, he is talking about the heart. C.S. Lewis said, being humble is not thinking less of you, but thinking less of yourself. Do not look for the applause of the people, the applause in social networks. Look for the grace of heaven. Today, many live for likes, but Jesus teaches to live for the eternal reward that He gives us in the secrets. It is not so important the number of followers or for many that you have the cell phone in your hand, you will generate more interaction. The kingdom of God is not built with visibility, but with humility. Verses 12 to 14 says, Invite those who cannot return the favor. Jesus goes there and says that the true guests to the kingdom are the poor, the blind, the blind, the margined. In a culture where something was given, expecting something in return, Jesus says in verse 14, God will reward you for inviting those who could not return the favor. So your list of guests reveals your level of compassion. A mature love gives without expecting return, because he already received everything from Christ. And then in verses 15 to 24 we see the parable of the banquet. Jesus tells a man to prepare a banquet, but the guests begin to excuse themselves. One bought land, another bought sheep, another got married. And all the pretexts are culturally valid, but not valid spiritually. The problem was not that they were bad activities, but that they were put above God's invitation. What is it that you are today moving away from the eternal, from being close to God? You lose a banquet in heaven for attending your pious people here on earth. And Jesus is clear, he did not smoothen the message. In verse 33 he says, If you are not willing to leave everything, you cannot be my disciple. And he closes with a very strong declaration, verses 34 and 35. The salt is good, but if you lose your taste, what does it serve? The salt here represents authenticity, that impact of true faith. A faith without delivery is like salt without flavor. It is present, but without power. The discipleship is not a label, it is a renunciation with eternal flavor. It is to leave everything and follow Jesus. A salt that has lost its flavor, it does not stop seasoning, it also stops conserving. In the times of Jesus, salt was used to preserve food. A faith without delivery does not only stop impacting, it stops supporting others. Now let's evaluate ourselves. What area of our lives is looking for the first place? Are you serving from your heart or from the desire to be seen? And I want to leave you a task. Apply the banquet of the kingdom, invite, bless, serve someone today who cannot return the favor. I pray that our faith does not lose its flavor. We pray that we constantly have a renewed passion, a real delivery, a radical love for our God. Let's say to God, I do not want to live for appearances, I want to live for obedience. Teach me to take my place, not to look for the first place, to invite those who are not seen, to live without excuses in front of your table. I do not want to just be in the banquet, I want to honor the amphitheater with my full delivery. I want to be a true disciple of yours, in the name of Jesus. Amen. Salmo 80 God of the celestial armies, until when will you be angry with our prayers? You gave us sadness for food and made us drink tears in abundance. You turned us into the despise of neighboring nations. Our enemies treat us as if we were a joke. Make us return to you, O God of the celestial armies. Make your face shine on us. Only then will we be saved. You took us out of Egypt like a bit, you expelled the pagan nations and you brought us to your land. You cleaned the land for us and we put roots and we filled the land. Our shadow covered the mountains, our branches covered the powerful cedars. We extended the branches to the west towards the Mediterranean Sea, our regiments extended to the east towards the Euphrates River. But now, why have you demolished our walls so that all that can be stolen from us? The wild animals devour the forest and feed on them. We ask you to return, O God of the celestial armies. Observe from the heavens and look at our prey. Take care of this bit that you planted yourself. This son you raised for yourself. We are cut and burned by our enemies who fear to see your dream come true. We are the man you love, the son you chose. So we will never leave you again. Revive us so that we can invoke your name once more. Make us return to you, O God of the celestial armies. Make your face shine on us. Only then will we be saved. This Salm is the one that reminds us of the moment in which the people feel like sheep without a shepherd. Verse 1 says, Oh, Pastor of Israel, you guide like a herd to the descendants of Joseph. This Salm is then directed to God as the shepherd who before guided his people, but now seems to have hidden his face. There is something that is repeated three times. Verse 3, verse 7, verse 19. Make your face shine on us. Only then will we be saved. This was a clamor to reconnect with God again. The soul needs more things, needs more of God, more of his face, more of his presence. And then, in verses 8 to 16, Asaph compares Israel with a vine brought from Egypt. With something planted and taken care of. But now it was devastated by its enemies. So this language is full of symbolism. The first thing is that God is the vineyard. Israel is the vineyard. And the wall of the river is the protection broken by sin. In Isaiah chapter 5, God had said that he was waiting for good grapes. And the vineyard gave wild grapes. My question for you today is, what kind of fruit are you giving in your life? Are you drying out for disconnection with God? Or are you flowering for being close to the vineyard? I want to believe that each of us who is doing this challenge, every day, if God approaches, knows a little more about God, and our lives are flowering, every time we approach God, we flower. You don't need a new season. You need to return to the vineyard. And let's pray this week from this Psalm. Make your face shine on the middle. Now we read Proverbs chapter 12 verses 27 and 28. The peresos do not even cook the prey they have caught, but the diligent take advantage of everything they find. The path of justice leads to life. That path does not lead to death. This proverb offers a powerful image. A hunter who manages to catch his prey, but does not cook it. They have their hands in the provision, but do not turn it into their support. In other words, he loses what he has already won due to lack of diligence. This passage speaks of the potential not taken advantage of. Don't develop, do not obey answers. God does not waste processes, but we can do it. My advice for you this day is not to lose what God has already given you because you do not want to work what it still costs you. And verse 28 says that the path of justice leads to life. Justice not only avoids evil, but also takes advantage of its life. Are you taking advantage of your life? The abundant life is not a station, it is a path that we decide to follow. Imagine that someone receives a precious seed, but instead of planting it, he keeps it waiting for the best season. The problem is not the seed, it is the lack of action. That's how God delivers resources, He delivers words, He delivers opportunities. And what happens to us? We do not activate them. A new promise, obedience is the one that makes it flourish. And so we get to our 101 days in this race of faith. Now I invite you to listen to the testimony of Jennifer, a Peruvian compatriot from Peru. Hello Wendy, nice to meet you Wendy. Well, I'm Jennifer, I'm from Peru, and I wanted to tell you a testimony, I could say it, what happened to me yesterday. In context, I want to be brief with my story. I currently do not have a job, I currently only have 7 suns in my pocket, and yesterday I decided to have breakfast, because I needed it, because I felt empty. And suddenly I decided to have breakfast until 3 in the afternoon, and inside my breakfast I asked God to give me a little snack, what we know, what we are from Peru, we know that the little snack is pleasant. And I asked for my prayer, I want to eat a little snack, I want to eat a little snack, God, but I do not have the resources to give me that taste. After that I finished my breakfast, and the surprising thing is that my spoon brought me a plate of chicharrón, and I was so excited, and I said, thank God, do it, do it at least, you are here with me. I thank God too much, I am reincorporating myself again to read the Bible, I know God since a year ago, sometimes with the circumstances of time, we put him aside, I know I am not for a good economic moment, but I have the back of my God, if I have him I have everything, and I trust in him. Thank you very much for sharing your teachings in the podcast, it is of great help to me. Thank you, Wendy. Jennifer, what a powerful testimony, this testimony reminds me of something we cannot forget, God not only responds to great prayers, but also to those simple but honest prayers, those that come out of the deepest of hearts. I tell you what happened to me, Jennifer, thank you for sharing this, because in the midst of your need, you are teaching us that God is a provider, and that his love manifests itself even in a plate of chicharrón, in something so simple but so specific. I want to tell you something, that you have not been casual, it is a confirmation of God, God is saying, I am with you, I hear your prayer, I see you, I know what you need, and I will try it. So this is not a testimony of a momentary provision, it is the beginning of a season where you will know God, holding you, guiding you, opening doors, even in the economic. And today as a community, we join together to believe in you for that work you need, for that stability, for that peace, for a constant provision of part of God. I want to give you Philippians chapter 4 verse 19 that says, the same hand that takes care of you day after day will also give you everything you need. Well, God, who gives us everything we need, will take care of you. Jenny Ferquerida, what she started with a desire, in reality, has been a reminder of heaven for us. God did not forget you, He is with you in every detail, and what comes will not be scarce, it will be provision after provision, because here your story does not end, here begins your true testimony. And now I invite you to listen to the testimony of Angie Paola from Bogota, Colombia. Hello Wendy, I am Angie from Bogota, Colombia, I would like to share a little bit of my testimony and the miracle that I am waiting for at this moment. A few years ago they were in debt, I could not pay the university either, it turned out that it was very unbearable, I knew that he existed, I knew that he was there, but that he was not close to me, I did not know that my body, that my mind, that my soul needed him, so when I was in this hole, where I did not know what to do, I remember very much that I put myself to look at the sky through the window in my room and crying, I asked him to help me, that I needed, it is a miracle, because I wanted to be a professional, to help my parents, who are people of the third age. Indeed, he listened to me, his graduate listened to me, he sent me a person who helped me solve the debt, pay, I could work, I could pay the person, I could graduate, I got out of this job, I joined a company for a better future, for climbing in a professional part, it turns out that there I lived, I had mental health problems, since my boss, the owner of the company, is a person who does not believe in God, who prefers more his letters and his ancestral things, he was mocked by my faith, he had words of conscience with me, many things that affected me mentally, however, I was always attached to you, before my work came to an end, the whole journey, what I did was to listen to your podcast, right now the miracle I am asking for, is that I have a new job, I gave up this job on Monday, so I would like all the community to pray for me, pray for me, so I can find a job where I have the emotional ability, where they don't get bored of me, where I can't suffer this type of attacks, and that I can give my parents a better quality of life, I am sure that in the end, when you get to this miracle, I will share it with you, because I know that God is here, at this moment I listen to your podcast, I feel that it is a quality of life, even better, because I no longer listen to my journey, to go to work, but I can take out my Bible, sit down, take my time, and share the word with you, listen to your teachings, it is the most beautiful, it is the most beautiful, I thank you, Wendy, and God keeps blessing you enormously. My dear Angie, thank you for opening your heart, for sharing this process so real, so human, so full of faith, because sometimes a miracle doesn't start when the answer comes, but when we have the value of getting out of that place where we are breaking, but I trust that God will hold us in the next step, he will hold us when we are working alone. I want to tell you something, Angie, God didn't take you out of that place to leave you in the air, God took you out because he himself is going to introduce you to a new season, a season of peace, of dignity, of honor, of correct doors, the incorrect environment will never have the last word of your life, it will have God, and the same God who helped you to graduate, who provided you with a chance to do so, and who emotionally supported you in the midst of a hostile environment, he will also open the correct job, the correct clients, all in his perfect time with the right people. I think that today, we all join as a community to pray for that labor miracle, for that emotional stability, and for the blessing on the life of your parents. I want to give you my blessings, 2911, which says, I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for bad, to give you a future and a hope. Angie, beautiful, you are not retreating, you are being redirected by God, and what comes to you will not be just a new job, but a response of love, a confirmation of the care of God, and I know it's a testimony to be told. I would like to share with you the testimony of Angela from the Peace of Bolivia. Angela tells us that everything started in 2024, when she was born in her heart, that desire to grow professionally, to advance and to go further, but many times it happens to us, and she thought that she would do it with her own strength, and it was not like that. It came back in 2025, she met the podcast, but she was still completely connected with God. Even so, she decided to look for a new job, a new opportunity, a new beginning, but the doors did not open, they did not even call her. Months passed, the despair began to fill her heart, until in September, finally a call, an interview, an opportunity, the filters passed, everything seemed to align, everything seemed to indicate that she had achieved it, but when she thought it was her, God closed the door. That moment was hard for her, it was unmotivating, it was confusing, so Angela decided to surrender, but not to God, but to her expectations, to stay at the job she was in, grateful, but knowing that it was not what she dreamed of. That's how 2025 ended, but something changed, because in 2026 it did not start the same, after a trip in the first days of the year, Angela says that something marked her deeply, something happened to me, as if something invaded my soul, and there she surrendered, but this time she really surrendered, she surrendered to God, decided to take her relationship with him, walk with God every day, listen to his voice, depend on him, and although in January and February the promise was not fulfilled, something in her was different, there was no more despair, there was no more empty space, what she had was peace, faith, and a new trust. The doors began to touch each other, interview after interview, process after process, Angela had it clear, it was not my effort, it was the grace of God, until that moment came, the second week of March, and the promise was fulfilled, but the most powerful thing about her testimony is not just the result, it is the process, because she herself says, I was anxious, I had no hope, but in 2026, when God took my hand, everything changed, she heard the word of God, and said, I will try again, and it became reality. Angela, thank you for reminding us that when God closes a door, it is never rejected, it is redirected, and when something is not given, it is not lost, it is protection. God has changed your heart, it was not just a new job, it was a new version of you, more firm, more surrendered, more confident in the Lord. Suddenly you are listening to this, and you feel that you have already tried everything, that nothing has worked, you feel frustrated, you feel that a door is closed, and you still have needs, you are tired of trying it. I want to remind you, Isaiah 41, do not be afraid, I am with you, do not be discouraged, I am your God, I will give you strength, I will help you, I will support you with my right hand and victory, amen. So we can try again, but this time there is no our strength, with God, because He is the one who holds your hand. And now I want to thank the generous hearts of this beautiful community. Thank you very much. The Lord is with you. And that is the same thing that the Lord tells you, brave warriors, never forget that the Lord is with you, that you are protected by God, that we are not alone in this battle, that He fights for us, and you will be in my prayers. See you tomorrow, with more of the word of God, to run our 102 kilometers. Blessings and may you have a day full of light, peace, and provision of the sky. Shalom Shalom. Shalom Shalom. Shalom.
