Welcome once again to Paranormal Mysteries, and thank you for joining me as we explore the unknown. As always, I'm your host, Nick Ryan. Tonight, I'd like to begin our journey with Carolina, who calls their experience Footprints and Roses. Before telling Carolina's story, I'd like to warn you that her experience has to do with a pet passing on, which may be difficult for some listeners. Discretion is advised. Carolina says, Hello Nick. I recently discovered your podcast and have really come to enjoy it. I only listen during the day as I live alone in a large, isolated house in the foothills of the San Jacinto Mountains. I have often experienced strange encounters with what most call paranormal all my life, but this story is so unusual that I wanted to share it with you and your listeners. In 2014, I retired after 31 years as a librarian and I decided to find a house where I could write, store my collection of old books, and enjoy the peace of the country. I fell in love with the first listing on the very first website that I searched, and I contacted the realtor. The house was built in 1982, and I immediately fell in love with everything about it. I was the first one to tour it, and I bought the house that day. It was furnished with antiques, from lace to queen-in sofas, and since this was my style, I purchased these pieces as well. As the owners were telling me about this and that, I casually asked if the house was haunted, but the owner quickly replied, only the woman that lives in the upstairs bedroom. When he said this, his wife shot him a look of annoyance, but she didn't contradict him. So he then said, I'm just kidding. In any case, it did not deter me. At the time, I had an aging cat, a tortoiseshell breed named Patches. After Patches and I had lived in the house for a few months, She started to get sick and couldn't keep her cat food down. Most mornings, I would find that she had gotten sick at the entrance to the laundry room, and I would clean it up. The laundry room is fairly large and has a half bath on the left and a door to the garage on the right. The vet put her on some more tolerable food, but she continued to spit it up in the same spot every few days. One morning, instead of being the usual round puddle of vomit, it was in the shape of a perfect lady's high-heel shoe, as if a woman had stepped in it. Another print, further on, same right foot, was fainter, as if the lady had taken another step. The steps were leading into the garage. I shrugged this off and cleaned these up, but in the days that followed, Patch's spit-ups were always in the same shape of this high-heel, and there was always a second, fainter step, further on. To add to this, I noticed a strong scent of roses when I went to clean up the mess. Now, I've never cared for the scent of rose perfume, as it reminds me of funerals. I finally told my daughter about these footprints and the aroma of roses, since she also has strong connections to these types of things. She said that it might be the lady in the upstairs bedroom. She asked me if I was okay with her being there, and I said that I was, as I personally only use the downstairs master bedroom. She then suggested that I tell the lady that she was welcome to stay if she wished, and that I did not mind. And this I did, while sitting on the old bed that had been left there. But patches continued to get sick, and the prints continued. Only now the prints were of a bare, petite foot, as if the lady had taken off her shoe. These prints showed an arch and toes, and the scent of roses was still very strong. As the days went by, the footprints continued to evolve, for lack of a better word. The prints were only of a bare foot now, and to my surprise, they were getting smaller, as if whoever was making them was growing younger. At least, that was the feeling that I got. Each day, the prints would be slightly smaller, until the two prints reminded me of a newborn's baby footprints that you would find on a birth certificate, showing the distinct five toes. It was around this time that I could no longer bear for Patches to feel this way, day after day, and I made the decision to put her to sleep. I buried her under an ancient pepper tree. The footprints stopped, but the scent of roses remained for a couple of weeks. I sometimes wonder on my way to the laundry or out to the garage if my roommate was showing me that she is at peace and had moved on. Since the prints went from high heel to newborn barefoot, I like to believe the lady was given a new life, evident in those infant footprints. I hope so, and perhaps all she needed was to feel welcome at home in order to leave. Thank you for giving me a place to tell my story, and thank you for your wonderful podcast. Our next experience of the evening comes to us from Katie, and Katie's experience is called UFO in the Australian Sky. Hello Nick, I hope you and all the listeners are doing well. I written in before and I hang out for new episodes There something about having an unexplained experience that keeps you searching for more So thank you for all that you do I had an experience in April of last year, the 15th of April to be exact. I only remember the date, as it was the day after my niece had turned five. I was living in Victoria, Australia, three hours or so from the city of Melbourne, in a rural area. That particular morning, I woke from my sleep without hesitation, which is unusual for me. Since I saw that it was still dark, I closed my eyes and I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't. While my husband slept, I snuck into the kitchen, made myself a coffee, and I went out the back for a cigarette. After a while, toward the south, I noticed something large in the sky. It was sort of a cigar-shaped object, with six to eight green lights twinkling along the whole object. I'm not very good with distance, but it seemed closer than a plane would be. It almost seemed to be observing me when I noticed it. Before I could comprehend what I was seeing, it moved very slowly to the east, and then it came to a stop. Then, it just disappeared. This was all around 5.15 a.m. I then ran inside to wake my husband up and to tell him what I had just seen. I find myself looking at the stars to find that odd-shaped object with the green twinkling lights most nights. It's also hard to remember every detail, as UFO experiences always seem to happen too quickly. Thank you again. Our next experience comes to us from Walter. And Walter's experience is called First Sighting Walter says Dear Nick, Like many of your listeners, I happened to come across your podcast, and I was immediately hooked. I love the format, your style of storytelling, and the way you present the focused topics of certain episodes. I figured this would be a good platform where I could submit my many encounters that have occurred throughout my life. The first story that I want to share was my first encounter with a UFO. During the summer of 1992, I was seven years old. My family and I were living in Madras, Oregon at the time. My parents would send me to bed at 8 p.m. at that age, but the sun wouldn't set until almost 9 p.m. in early July. So, I would sit by my window and look out toward the neighbors' houses, and I would watch the main street traffic, which wasn't really much for a tiny town. I would normally sit there looking outside until it was dark, and I would then go to bed and fall asleep. However, on this particular evening, when I looked outside my window, I noticed a metallic, disc-shaped object that was hovering over my neighbor's house. It pretty much covered the entire area of the rooftop. I would estimate this object to be around 25 yards in diameter. Up until this moment, I had no idea what a UFO was, nor did I have any concept of extraterrestrial life or activities. So, just imagine being a seven-year-old child, seeing this phenomenon for the first time ever. I had no idea what I was looking at. I just remember feeling wonder and apprehension at first. This thing looked like a stereotypically depicted silver-chromed flying saucer, but I also distinctly remember strange fluorescent orange characters that were printed on the top half of the disc. These markings look like digital hieroglyphics, if that makes sense. About 15 minutes transpired before it hovered up higher from the neighbor's rooftops, and then it shot up into the sky. I even remember how the dying sunlight reflected off its surface right before it disappeared into the sky. After it was out of sight, I instantly ran under the covers, and I went to bed, scared. The following day, I went to my summer school class. Coincidentally, the teacher had us working on arts and crafts making space objects with styrofoam cups, plates, and bowls. Some kids were making rockets, lunar landers, space stations, and space capsules. But then, the kid that was next to me made a flying saucer with the disposable plates and glued a small inverted cup on top of the disc. I instantly cried out, Teacher, I saw this outside my house yesterday. However, my teacher dismissed what I yelled out by saying, That's cute, hon, but those things aren't real. And she then moved on to the next table. I was confused at her reaction, but I am still convinced that what I saw was real, and it led to my lifelong interest investigating the topic of UFOs and everything related to the possibility of alien lifeforms. Our next experience comes to us from Aiden, and Aiden's encounter is called It's in the Living Room. Aiden says, Hi Nick, I love your podcast, and this experience I will never forget. I was maybe around 8 or 9 at the time, and me and my parents were coming home from our cabin, and we got home at around 3 or 3.30 a.m. I walked inside from our back door, as my parents were unpacking, and I walked to the living room to watch TV or just look around my house, and this is when I saw a dark shadow that was 7 to 8 feet tall. I was terrified since I had never seen anything like this before. I tried to scream, but nothing came out. My parents then came in from unpacking, and they were about to go upstairs to go to bed, but they stopped because they saw me standing at the entrance to the living room and looking at nothing, but I was actually staring at the dark shadow. They just couldn't see it. My parents still say there was nothing there, but I knew what I saw, and I have also had other experiences that I will tell at some point in the future. Thanks for reading this. Aiden Our next experience comes to us from Jared, and Jared had this to say. Hey Nick, I've had a lot of paranormal experiences since I was six years old, and I've recently had a medium tell me that I'm sensitive, and that I have dead people around me all the time. I've been listening to your podcast since 2022 since I've lived in Las Vegas, and I enjoy listening to everyone's experiences. It's something that I've always enjoyed, and I still do to this day. It helps me to get through the long days at work. I also used to work for Zach Bagans as security at his haunted museum in Vegas, and I had several experiences there. I grew up in Pocatello Idaho and I lived in Las Vegas Detroit Michigan and I now reside in Salt Lake City Utah I like to share my very first experience which I will call my grandpa It was 1985, and I was six years old when my grandpa passed away. He lived in Loomis, California, where he had passed. My family and I lived in Pocatello, Idaho, so we never got to see my grandpa. The only time that he had seen me was when I was a brand new baby, so I didn't really know him. We traveled to California for his funeral, and before his funeral, we slept at his house a few days prior. When we arrived at my grandparents' house in California, it was late at night, so we went to sleep. Later the next day, I remember seeing him sitting on the couch, and he looked like an actual person just sitting there, so it confused me. I didn't say anything to everyone else, because I thought that everyone could see him as I did. I then went over to where he was sitting in the living room, and I sat down next to him. I remember him just smiling at me, and just watching everyone as I did. Not long after that, though, I felt really sick, and I ran outside, and I threw up. Everyone asked if I was sick, and my mother replied, no, maybe it was the fast food that we had eaten the day before we arrived, and he got sick from it. When I went back inside, though, he was gone, but I didn't think much about it. The day of his funeral, I told my mom that I didn't want to see a dead person because I didn't want to be scared, so I stayed out of the room at the church where we had the service. Fast forward to the following year, and I was having a bad dream, and I couldn't sleep one night. So, I went to my parents' room, and I laid on the edge of the bed next to my dad, and I told him that I had a bad dream. My dad told me to go back to sleep, and before I did, I looked at the foot of the bed, and I saw my grandpa. He was standing there and smiling at me. He had a bluish hue about him and was transparent, and I noticed that he was wearing a green suit. It really caught me off guard, and I was so scared to have seen a ghost, even though it was my grandpa. I closed my eyes tightly after that, and I didn't open them until the next morning. The next day after breakfast, I told my mom that I had seen grandpa, and she said, don't say that, because she was still sad about losing her father. She then asked me what he was wearing, and I told her that he was wearing a green suit. She then broke down and started crying, and I asked her why she was crying. She then told me that that was the suit that he was buried in. After that, she believed me. Thank you, Nick, for sharing my experience with everyone, and I'm excited to share a lot more of my paranormal experiences. Stay safe. It's time to see what you can accomplish with Shopify by your side. Our next experience of the evening comes to us from David. And David says, Hello Nick, I stumbled upon your podcast while I was looking for something to keep me entertained while I worked the night shift. After hearing stories from all over, it gave me a chance to reflect on my own experiences. It was a typical summer night in Kenai, Alaska in July, where it was daylight out at 12.30 a.m. My brothers-in-law, Willie, Curtis, and Clayton all decided to go to the local cemetery in town, as we all have been more curious about paranormal things lately at the time. We decided to sit in the pickup with the windows down and the engine off, using a paranormal scan tool for spirit communication. As we sat there with no activity on the radar in the app, we all started talking about getting out and walking through the grave sites in front of us. We contemplated for about 15 minutes, trying to get the courage up to actually open the doors. Finally, as we built up the courage, and with the windows still down, we decided to step outside and open that portal or side that we haven't ever attempted to by investigating the cemetery. But right when I grabbed the door handle and said, all right, it's time to get out, we all heard, plain as day, don't, in a woman's voice. It startled all of us, and we looked around the whole fenced-in cemetery to find that we were the only ones there. We could see the entrance, and there were no other vehicles outside the gate, and never once did we see any headlights enter the area. We immediately fired the truck up, rolled the windows up, and got out of the cemetery, never to return. Still to this day, we have zero answers as to who it was, or where it came from, and we won't go back there. The history of the cemetery on Google only reveals that a man-like spirit, which they call the caretaker, has been seen walking around the gravestones, but never anything about a lady. Maybe this spirit was playing tricks on us to make us think it was a female, when in reality it was the man, also known as the caretaker. Thank you for taking the time to read this submission, and maybe it'll be good enough to tell on your podcast. If not, I'm just glad to share my personal experience with the paranormal. Our next experience comes to us from Tina. And Tina says, Hi Nick, I discovered your podcast in mid-2025, and I have enjoyed binging earlier episodes. My earliest paranormal experiences occurred in childhood, and I have continued to have many experiences over the years. Over time, I have learned that I am an empath and a sensitive, and at age 57, my experiences are still occurring. I've had enough unexplained encounters that I would like to document them in a book someday, though I haven started that project yet Today I am sharing two of my more vivid experiences from my collection Thank you for hosting an interesting podcast that treats listener experiences with respect and thank you for sharing my stories. Experience 1. The Woman in the Hallway In the early 2000s, my husband and I lived in a 1960s fourplex with two apartments upstairs, two downstairs, and four garages at street level. We lived on the top floor. There was no elevator, only two flights of steep stairs from the garage level to the apartments. One summer in the early evening, when there was still plenty of light, while my husband and I were walking up the first flight of stairs from our garage, I saw a woman at the top of the stairwell. She was wearing a floor-length dress and an old-fashioned hat. Her clothing appeared to be from the 1890s, and her hair was swept up in the popular pompadour style of that era. She walked across the building foyer, which was about five foot wide, and then she passed directly through the lathe and plaster wall that was next to our downstairs neighbor's closed apartment door. She made no sound, and she did not look at us or appear to notice us at all. Now, my husband did not see her, and for several years after, he questioned whether I had actually seen anything. It was only after he later had his own unexplained experience, unrelated to this building, that he accepted my account. I had several other experiences while living there. Whenever I was in the basement doing laundry, I felt as though I was being watched. I also had that same sensation in our bedroom, usually when I was alone. At night, I sometimes felt the sensation of something or someone sitting down on the edge of our bed. Off of our kitchen, we had a small balcony deck with a metal staircase that led down to a side yard. In the basement, the garage openings were covered by heavy metal doors that slid on rails. The property owners told us that both the metal staircase and the sliding garage doors had been salvaged from the battleship Oregon. The USS Oregon was an 11,688-ton Indiana-class battleship built in San Francisco, California. She was commissioned in July of 1896, and at the time was the only battleship serving on the U.S. Pacific seaboard. I don't know if any of the experiences I had in that building were connected to the salvage from the battleship, but I have wondered if residual energies were present. I call my second experience, Mary doesn't live here anymore. In 2011, when we bought our home, a 1946 bungalow, I experienced the number of unexplained events. Based on the research I was able to do, I believe we are only the second owners of the house. The original owners were a couple who lived there for many years and raised their family in the home. The husband passed away before his wife. She later developed cognitive decline and was placed in a memory care facility a few years before she also passed away. Their adult children inherited the house, which was held in a trust prior to our purchase. Shortly after we moved in, I experienced what I would describe as auditory, visual, and physical activity. I work from home and am often alone during the day with my pets. Occasionally, I would hear what sounded like a distant female voice humming an unfamiliar tune. The sound usually came from two rooms away, and most often seemed to originate in the kitchen, or the adjacent laundry room. On several occasions, small objects such as keys would go missing. We would search everywhere for them, only to later find them in the very back of our garage and placed on a random bookshelf, tucked between storage boxes. A few times, I noticed a faint floral scent, similar to perfume, in two bedrooms of the house. I don't wear perfume, and my husband doesn't use cologne, and we don't burn candles, incense, or use scented cleaning products in general. Another time, I saw a white mist in the rough shape of a short female figure. It had no discernible features, and it was floating near the end of our carport in the driveway. On another occasion, I heard a female voice clearly say, Hello, little doggie, and it came from the direction of the driveway, just before our small dog ran around the corner from the driveway and into the front yard. I believe these experiences may have been connected to Mary, the former owner of the home. Our neighbors had known Mary and her husband, and they told us they took great pride in caring for their house and their decorative garden, both of which we also enjoy. One afternoon, I decided to speak out loud. I said how glad we were to have purchased the home, and I thanked her for taking such good care of it over the years. I also told her how much we enjoyed taking care of her garden. I can't say for certain that the activity was Mary, or that she heard my thanks. However, I can say that after that afternoon, the activity noticeably decreased, and about a year after we took ownership of the house, it stopped altogether. To date, I have not experienced any other activity of this sort in our home. Before I bring tonight's episode to an end, I'd like to thank all of our experiencers for coming forward with their stories. And of course, I truly appreciate each and every one of you for listening and showing your support. With that said, I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your evening, and I'll be back in a few short days with more tales of the unexplained. And until then, please remember, don't wait for the unknown to come to you get out there and find it Thank you. you
