Covino and Rich recap Super Bowl LVIII, discussing the Patriots' unexpected run, Matthew Stafford's MVP win, and Drake May's rookie season. The hosts preview upcoming sports events including the World Baseball Classic, boxing matches, and Winter Olympics while reflecting on San Francisco's condition during Super Bowl week.
Insights
- The Patriots' path to the Super Bowl was historically weak, facing only 3 teams with winning records in 17 games, suggesting their success was circumstantial rather than dominant
- Location and timing significantly impact perception of cities and experiences; San Francisco's downtown areas presented safety concerns that overshadowed the broader Bay Area's appeal
- Rookie quarterbacks like Drake May can perform well statistically but still lose MVP awards when other players (like Stafford) have more complete performances across all metrics
- International sports competitions like the World Baseball Classic create compelling narratives due to player availability issues and national pride dynamics
- Documentary storytelling about historical sports moments resonates emotionally with audiences, particularly when featuring aging athletes reflecting on their youth

We did get a picture and we got to talk to Fernando Mendoza, but we were sniped as you guys heard earlier. Emmett Smith and Gary Vaynerchuk. Lot of fun. Yeah, we had a lot of cool guests up by. Rice Young and more and many more catch it on Covey Don Rich FSR. Congrats to the Seahawks and we be rocking out. Let's go. Now we're broadcasting live from the Fox Sports Radio Studio as we speak, like we said back in Los Angeles. Search Covey Don Rich wherever you stream your podcasts. And let's get into our two man. We got last one standing, given what prizes, maybe talk some baseball because we got to look forward. It's baseball WBC NBA. There's a good fight at the end of the month. Rich said he's going to read the NBA standings on the air. They're so perfect. You know what you forget that these quarterbacks, even when they don't look monstrous on the field, they're big boys like, you know, my dad was watching our YouTube interview with Jackson Dart. Oh, really? Like Jackson Dart? Well, likeable fella. And I said, I said, Dad, Jackson Dart, he's a handsome boy, was enormous. And he was a big, huge fella. I think he's listed six three. He felt a lot bigger than that. My dad said, when you watch Jackson Dart on a Sunday, he doesn't look all that huge. But we forget like most of these guys are you're comparing them with the biggest men in the world. Yeah. Keep that in mind when you see how small we look, how small I look next to Jackson Dart and Fernando Mendoza. Fernando Mendoza's over six six for five. That dude was lanky and a nice fella. And I thank two guys for having our back. I felt like I could dislocate Bryce Young's shoulder. He looks small. You guys looked normal size compared to Bryce Young. Yes. I saw pictures where you're all sitting. I'm like, he looks like he's a small sub dude, kind fella. Same with the Eagle secondary. Blankership and Dijine. Oh, yeah. They just look like it's their athletic. I was going to say, it shows you how great they have to be to compete with guys who are giants on the field. They look like two Frepoys. It just worked out a lot. If you want to see what we're talking about, Covino and Rich FSR on YouTube last week was great. Happy to be back and yeah, man, football is over. It's hard to, hard to believe after a long season. So we'll wrap it up with your observations. Any other observations, Rich, from the game, half time? Yes. Being in San Francisco, I'm a Niners fan. I've been there many times. I just want to remind everyone, if you visit a different city, sometimes weather could play a factor. Sometimes where you stay could play a factor. Timing. Timing. I think about this, like I'm a New York kid at heart. We live in Los Angeles now, but I'm a New Yorker. I grew up on Long Island. I lived in Manhattan. I lived in Brooklyn. I know the East Coast pretty well. But I feel like if someone visited New York, depending on where they stayed in Manhattan. And when? And when would totally determine. I think the when is a big factor. Like, well, if you go to New York and you stay, I don't know, in the village and it's raining, that's way different than if you stay, I don't know, in midtown and it's sunny. Like, weather, circumstances and everything. Because I've been to San Francisco, the Bay Area, a bunch of fishermen's wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, over the bridge, Sausalito, Napa Valley. Like it's a beautiful, there's beautiful parts of that area. Special. There's a special feeling about the touristy, even the touristy attractions of Lumbard Street, right? They said the beautiful bed. And the trolleys. Like there's a charm to San Francisco that I feel just wasn't the same. What? This time. It's like some time. You're being kind. Previous times I've been to the Bay Area, loved it. If this is my only experience with San Francisco, it was like the butthole of the United States. It's because you were just trapped in a couple of streets downtown San Francisco. Picture someone. Why? Picture someone on. It was Grimy, Sam. You were in the Tenderloin District. It was like the Hobos are. Felt like Night of the Living Dead. I was saying, picture a map of the United States. Watch your step out there. Watch your step. You know what I mean? Listen, picture a map of the United States. Don't step on that. And the picture a map of the United States and someone's on all fours and their faces in the New England area, they're buttholes right in Northern California. I can't say that. They're bum bum. Okay, they're bum bum. Can I say bum bum? Did you just dump me for saying that? Yeah, you have to say bum. They're bum bum. Oh, okay. Learn something new. How are you gonna differentiate bum from bum? What'd you say? Just find a way. So Rich, where in the world was Carmen San Diego again? Oh, let me just tell you this. In the bum bum? It was gross. Bitty, bitty bum bum. I walked to dinner every night like on, I put my phone away. Usually, you know, you stroll down the street and you're looking at your phone like an idiot. I was on high alert for a homo's jumping out. I was on high alert. I was on high alert for it. It was jump scares, like a haunted house. I was like, yo, is this a haunted house? And honestly, everywhere I walked, I was like, we don't take kindly to strangers. You gotta watch where you walk. I wasn't worried about someone. Oh, they didn't clean up after their dog. I worried about like, was that that dude right there? Yeah, it was wild. It was a wild scene. That's but timing. That's why I said timing because we've been there and it's been beautiful. It's been wonderful. Is it timing or is it where you are in San Francisco? It is. Location, location, location. Same with downtown LA. You could be a skid row. We've been in that area though. We've been in that area. It wasn't like that. Sam, someone could visit, you're right. Someone could visit California. And there's a big difference if they rent a beach house in Santa Monica versus being in skid row in downtown LA. At least Sebastian versus the district. So yeah, just a reminder. Not to judge something based on one little experience because I love the Bay Area, but if I would have judged it solely based on our last experience, you know what made the Super Bowl? Now I'm going to sound corny. Kid Rock? The company. That's funny. The company, Super Bowl week because we got to Danny, have some nice dinners. See some old friends hang with the, you know. We had a cool staff dinner. That's cool staff dinner. Everything about the week was fantastic. But San Francisco, I don't know. When you compare that to Super Bowls that we've been to. Like South LA brings it next year then, man. Because ONA, like, let's get one thing clear though. Where the Super Bowl was was in Santa Clara, San Jose area. Yeah. But all the festivities and events leading up to it were in San Francisco. But the thing is, is like Radio Road didn't have to be in San Francisco because like technically, you're really far away from the stadium. It should have been a little closer to the stadium. That's true. And it took away a little bit from the vibe because in other cities where things are a lot closer, we're able to go to the NFL experience in the opening night and go into the stadium. But who's making that journey? Like when we were in Las Vegas, Danny, we got to walk on the field. Right. We didn't get to do that. No, that's not complaining. Just explaining. Taking you behind the velvet rope. Can I throw one more little angle at you and then we could move on? You know, say close the book on football maybe for now? Until the draft? Kind of angle. A Kurt angle. And a cute angle. Did you think AJ and Big Justice, did you think AJ looked like Kurt Angle a little bit when we met him at Super Bowl? We met the boot. We met the, we brought the boom guys. That's what we did. By the way, that was Kavanaugh's favorite moment of the Super High. It was probably my highlight. Like Jackson Dart was cool, but meeting AJ and Big Justice. And I mean this. Serious note, I'm being facetious, but seriously, couldn't have been more kind. And I was so happy because they truly hit on something special. Like it's a whole family act, the family gimmick that they're loving and appreciating. And they don't take it for granted. And that little kid, Big Justice, who's again, their social media famous, if you don't know who we're talking about, he was living up every second of it. But his dad, AJ looks like Kurt Angle. But they were very cool. Famous for their Costco stuff too, right? Yeah, Costco. We're Costco guys. Double chunk, chocolate chip. Those guys, they were so kind. He's like, take my number. When I'm in LA, where they're, you know, they do wrestling events. He's like, we got you guys hooked up like super kind. They were super cool. It was a great week. Angle. Angle. And he got me all thrown off. What was my one angle? Oh, I got it. Please. I just need a second. I'm not that dumb. This is how we're ending NFL season. I know. I got it, guys. Don't worry. It was like the Super Bowl last night. I got it. Does it make you feel a little better for the people that were like, oh man, Drake may got robbed. Does it make you feel a little better about Stafford being the MVP? I think the lackluster Patriots offense made me realize. They got it right. They got it right with Matthew Stafford. I mean, I feel bad for Drake may though. He's saying, you know, you can't cry. What if Will Campbell, what if Will Campbell was blocking for Stafford though? I mean, for the beginning, I mean, the first half of that game especially, I know, I know. May was running for his life. Listen, he did make some bad throws. Yes. Can I just say this? I don't want to come across as like some weak S 49ers fan that's, you know, my team lost. They were decimated with injuries. So I'm not dissing another team. And I've always been a proponent of you play. Who's on your schedule? Don't bitch about that. But when you do realize of their 17 game schedule, only three games were against over 500 teams. That was the Bills twice and the Steelers. And they played an AFC championship game against the backup quarterback. Let's just say the Patriots path there was ideal. They just end up running into a team that would that outmatch them. Like you could argue that under so many different circumstances, they shouldn't have been there. But you know what they were. And that's a tribute to them coming together as a team and doing what it took. But it was for Strabel's first year. Maybe they were ahead of schedule, if anything. Dude, if anything, they should all be very proud of themselves. Strabel's right, though. He said no one on the team played good enough for them to win. None of them really played up to their potential. The one dude in the secondary that broke up like three big asses. Their defense was jumping routes to start that game. So it kind of felt like they knew they had to really lean on their defense if they had a chance. Who's their defensive guy? Latino name. Who's the guy that jumped the bad bunny? Benito. Benito Bonnie. No. Well, anyway, if you do look at Stafford's numbers against like the Seahawks both times this year, like he lit them up. Like he was he was the MVP. No doubt. No doubt. That was proven yesterday. And any other phone call? Talking about Christian Gonzalez. Christian Gonzalez. I drew a blank on the name. Christian Gonzalez. How many times did that dude break up a pass that was like just like fingertip knocked at a fantastic performance by him? I don't know about anybody else. 877-99 on Fox at Covino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio. And again, streaming live as we speak on YouTube, Covino and Rich FSR. And thank you, Stilo, Wes, Ashley, everyone chimed in all at once. Gonzalez, Gonzalez, Gonzalez. That's the that's the fun of the live chat. I have my own little my own little feedback. Speaking of Latinos and speaking of what to look forward next, what to look forward to next, any excitement about Wes, see how he goes, if not for Gonzalez, that game could have been 50 to 9 or something ridiculous. Like he really did break up some key place. Now, keep in mind, I'm just trying to get people hype for what's coming up, right? There's no more football guys. Sorry, you're going to have the football blues for the next month or so. Anyone excited for Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios at the end of the month? I know we got Valentine's weekend, Papi coming up. Happy Valentine's, Papa. I know you are. But what do you mean? Tell us about it. Garcia is back. He's fighting for the belt. Do we all just forget? Mario Barrios fought Pacquiao. Remember, Pacquiao wanted to win another title. So he fought Barrios at Welterweight for the WBC. It was a draw. Boring. But it was a weird fight. I'll just say weird fight. So Garcia is making his comeback. And he's saying, I'm going for the belt. And he's fighting at Welterweight. February. No, I just hate what a fight to draw. In my mind, it's like, didn't even happen. No, that's fine. Now Garcia is saying, all right, well, I'm going to come and take that title. And you got two vatos locos. You got Garcia. I'm a pretty boy Garcia versus the Aztec, Mario Barrios. February 21st. I'm just trying to hype it up to just put a little dot in your counter so that you're excited about something. How forgiving are you? You got WBC in March. Answer me that. How forgiving are you? Meaning? I'm pretty forgiving. Meaning, you know, in relationships with friendships, coworkers, let's say, you know, at work, someone steals your client. Kavina, I remember you worked at a clothing store one time. Denise say, someone's like almost like, want to throw you against the wall in the back room. Like, don't you steal my commissions or something? Some dude threatened me, man. Yeah, he put his finger to my chest. I was like, yo, man, don't be doing that. I know what you're doing. I was like, what? What am I doing? Stealing my commissions. That's what Danny did to Collins producer. Don't you be stealing the guests? Yeah. Yeah, I was like, sorry. You got to do that to two in music next time you see him. I remember that guy was in it too. That guy George, who threatened me, stood on business, as they say. He said, you were not taking any money off my plate or something like that. And I was like, I'm sorry, man. I didn't mean anything by it. I didn't. I was just on my, I just hustled harder. That's what it was. He didn't like it. So what about that? By the way, I was like 16. And he was like 28. So like, yeah, he was a big dude. When it comes to forgiveness, I don't forget. Someone steals your girl. You know, you know, you fight with an ex, whatever. You take on forgiveness because Ryan Garse is just like saying sorry. I learned that in one of my favorite movies, Just Friends, with Ryan Reynolds. Forgiveness. Just like saying sorry. I bring that up because Ryan Garcia was a fighter and is a fighter. Young, handsome, talented, fastest hands in the game. He had all the potential in the world. Had one week of fight in New York City. And it sort of ruined my vibe of him because I felt like, dude, he lost a rolling remarriage. Yeah. But forget that. He went on social media. And like when he's just chopping up with his boys, he said, like, remember like racist, bad stuff. And then he blamed it on, what do you even say? I feel like, do we all just forget that happened? Because remember he like went off? Well, he says so much ridiculous stuff that I forget what you're even talking about, to be honest. It's not a matter of I forgive him. I just forget. I'm just saying like Kanye West is trying to come back, right? And he's trying to be like, yeah, I was just kidding. Like I didn't say, you know, think of all the terrible stuff Kanye said. Are we sure he said some weird stuff? I know he always defended like little kids and child trafficking and sort of went off on crazy rants like that all the time. Ryan Garcia? Yeah. Ryan Garcia said some interesting stuff. But anyway, that's why it's happening. That's happening later this month. I'm just trying again. Give you something to look forward to. And is the world baseball classic going to be interesting? I think so, man. Considering so many players are dropping out because countries and teams aren't ensuring them where is your boy Luke or some of those Puerto Rican guys? They're too busy worrying about bad bunny. So a lot of paperwork fell through. But there's a lot of people still involved. You're telling me that look at the lineups, man. It's like who's more stacked? The DR, Japan, USA. There's a lot of stacked lineups. And it was so competitive and awesome. What four years ago where show the game, if you guys remember, the WBC ended with Shohei Otani striking out his teammate at the time, Mike Trout, Japan over USA. Japan won three of the only five WBCs. I think the DR won one and USA won one. So you got some heated competition there again. An international game. You're going to see a lot of international stars. If it's anything even remotely close to as exciting as the last WBC, then I'm fired up for some early competitive baseball. I have a question. Your boy Diaz is playing Danny G. I'd be worried about that. Last time Diaz. Yeah. Last time he was in the World Baseball Classic. Grand opening, Grand closing. He missed a season. That's scary. So he's playing. Speaking of forgiveness and the Olympics are on. Did we ever get word? Did Nancy Kerrigan ever quote forgive Tonya Harding? I don't know. You should DM her or find out. I will. Hit her up on it. Hit her up on the Instagram. You want me to DM Nancy Kerrigan? Hi, you're asking me. What's up, Nancy? Do you know any young woman named Nancy? By the way, not to be all of the place, let me give you guys a heads up. Speaking of the Olympics, and I know now that football's over, we may start. You know, you're going to find yourself watching more Olympics. One, I find myself glued to couples figure skating. I don't know why I find it to be fascinating. And then Augusto, who works here at Fox Sports Radio, he goes, are you watching them or are you just judging how good looking the girl is? And I'm like, you know what? I think that's what I'm doing. Am I judging the routine or how cute I think the figure skater is? That's question one. And number two, maybe you just appreciate the synchronicity. That's what it is. It's like my wife will be like, babe, do you like this dress or this dress? And she's like, don't judge the model wearing it. I'm like, I can't do that. I'm going to be looking at who is wearing it. But number two, if you have not watched not the movie Miracle on Netflix, it's a brand new documentary. It's called Miracle, the Boys of 1980. I watched it. It's an hour and a half. A freaking, I almost one rogue there, freaking awesome look into these men who were college kids at the time, amateurs. And you know what? We left this off the list recently. We talked about Russell, man. What a hell of a coach. But we talked about recently the greatest against all odd stories. We left off Miracle. You know what I got out of that, Rich? I watched this document. We don't give it enough love. We don't give it enough love. I'm sure hockey fans do. And people that were aware of what was going on in 1980, I was picking my nose. I was four years old. I think that the captain of the team was at TAI. Not many Italian hockey players, right? Yeah. No, he was at TAI. Not many guys at the NHL. I'm Nunzio. I got to check his name again. Tommy DeVito's great grandfather. I'm pretty sure he's at TAI. The game winning goal. And you know what? Yeah. And he was the guy. I thought the documentary was great. You know what's cool about it is they get whoever's alive from that team. And they get them together to relive it. And you realize how special it was. Because they're old now. And it's heartbreaking, really. Do you know the worth of watch? As you're looking for things to do, watch us on Netflix. It was my biggest takeaway. Other than it was beautiful to see these. These are all boomers. These are people that were college kids in 1980. These are all 67-year-old men, right? So watching them get together like Kovino said, and watch us and get all emotional. You mean the captain, Mike Eruzioni. How do you say that? How do you say, Eruzioni? E. How do you say that? Lowen Kron, I know you probably remember that. Eruzioni. Mike Eruzioni. Oh. Mike Eruzioni. He celebrated with some Gabagool. I didn't know that. The legend of the team was it that. But the way how the coach was so tough on them, everything about the documentary was really touching, watching the guys get emotional. Because a lot of these guys are like, they're seeing footage. And it's like, that's when my parents were alive. And that's like, look at the heart breaking. There's something heartbreaking and emotional about it. Yeah, I think I said, well, no, no. I didn't shed an actual tear. But I welled up real nice at one point. And I caught myself. You know what they get? Let it happen. No, no, no. I'm not wasting my photo tears. But I thought it was fantastic. And the other big takeaway, we talked about Danny G in the past, the origin of the high five with Dusty Baker. Right? You know what they credit? The families of Team USA. USA. USA. USA. They talk about how before the 1980 Olympics, Vietnam and people were burning flags. And people weren't here in USA in the 50s and some of that. So they think the first USA champ. USA. Well, Al Michaels actually said he had never heard that before until the 1980 Olympics. They credit the USA champ to the 1980 team. And by the way, it's Dusty Baker and Glenn Burke. It was Glenn Burke who really brought it. Dusty's the one who had to figure out what to do. Dusty just reacted. Yeah, he put his hand up. It was Glenn Burke in 1977. So I think Dusty invented it. Because if Dusty is the one that had to interpret what to do, he, you know, he just countered the reaction. But it took two. It took two to tango or something like that. High five. High five. All right. Listen, you want to play the last one standing? This is a game we play every week. It's stressful. It's awesome. It's fun. Win a prize pack. We got some koozies, Nerf footballs, all that for you, and more at Covene on Rich. And of course, call now 877-99 on Fox. We'll play next right here on Fox Sports Radio. Ready to tackle your financial goals with Weebol. You don't have to sit on the sidelines. Weebol. Don't wobble. Yeah, Weebol. Because, yeah, I was talking to my mom before. She's like, I knew Gasolina. I'm like, yeah, mom, that's not even his song. I was like, that's a Daddy Yankee jam. And he was supposed to be part of it. And for whatever reason, I don't know. He made up some weird excuse and wasn't a part of it. All of it. But he's a big part of that genre being what it is today. Makes no sense to me. Like I said to you earlier today, anytime someone misses a big event, I'm like, what were they doing that's more important? What were they doing? Like what was Daddy Yankee doing that Trump's being at the Super Bowl with bed bunny? Speaking of Trump, he wasn't a big fan of the halftime show. Based on his tweet. But I thought it was pretty good. Hope you guys enjoyed the game. Congrats to the fans. Thank you. Hope you guys enjoyed the game. Congrats to the Seahawks, to our very own Dan Beyer. I know he's happy right now. And all the Seahawks fans are Buddy Wes and who, Mina Kimes, a big fan. I'm going to start the rumor that Dan Beyer's way into the stadium was dressing up as one of the sugar cane plants. Oh, it's true. Wahoo. Again, we're Kavine owner. And it's something we do every Monday. Let's get into it. Last one standing. Oh, no. You have five seconds to battle for your sports trivia life. Man. I got it. I don't got it. No. Put your electronic devices down and pick your sports knowledge. It's CNR's last one standing. Last one standing. All right, have four categories ready to go. If needed, a tiebreaker. Each contestant in this game gets five seconds to stay alive in the round. If you run out of time or answer incorrectly, Iowa Sam takes you out with his big bad buzzer. Don't want to hear that. Yeah. No, stop. No. We keep battling until you are the last one standing. If you win two of the rounds, you're the top dog. Here are the contestants. 13 time winner, Steve Covino. Right over there. Boo! Stuck on 13, man. Next kid rock. Next to him, the man hadn't cried when he saw Joe Montana on the screen last night. 18 time winner, Rich Davis. There he is. You mean it as PJs? I told my daughter ago, that's why dad loves 16. Oh, and it's your birthday. And in for 38 time winner, Dan Byer, is three time winner, Isaac Lowenkron. Hello. I'm the Kenneth Walker of this group. All right. Let's go. I'm going to go to the studio lines right now, see who's playing for a CNR prize back. Nick in Virginia Beach was the first through. What's up, Nick? Hey, Nick. How are you? We're good. Nick, what you do for a living there? It's an interesting sport that I have to deal with. I'm a patent powder coat person. What? I have an opportunity to walk into a 400 degree oven a lot of times today. Firefighter? Yeah, oh, no, I have to explain it to you when it's over. OK. He makes pizzas. Thanks, Nick. Yeah. He puts pottery in a kiln. All right, spot is the fact checker. Oven repairman. He was a stunt double in ghost. There is. OK. All right, spots the fact checker during this game. A lot of anxiety. I hate it so much. Please have patience with him as he checks his answers. When I say your name, the clock will start. All right, first category. So confused. May I give you the ball? You have five seconds to name an NFL QV who has the most turnovers in a Super Bowl game. 11 names at the top of this list. I had about 14 during yesterday's Super Bowl. 11 names at the top. All right, Covino, we're going to start with you. In a game or all time? In one Super Bowl game. This is good. All right, starting right now. Go, Covino. There's one obvious answer. Drake May. Drake May. Right off the bat. Maybe two obvious answers if you think about it, Rich. John Elway. John Elway is not on my list. Whoa. It's two or more. Yeah, two or more. Oh, wow. A lot of ties. Ailo. Craig Morton. Craig Morton is not on the list. What? Yeah. Oh my god. In a single game. In a single game. Nick. Super Bowl game. Let's go with Terry Bradshaw. Terry Bradshaw, if it's not on the list. I won the first round. Patrick Mahomes is an answer. Yes, thank you. Is Jalen Hurts an answer? I was going to say Jalen Hurts. One. Yeah, that's it. Hey, I win by default. You know what? Manning against Seahawks. By the way, can I say something? When you watch that Elway documentary, which is fantastic, they allude to a way worse Super Bowl run from one turnover? He never had two in a game? They made it seem spot. Read the list. What did you? Jim Kelly. Jim Kelly. No. What? What is wrong with Sposalist? I think he got red. This is from Stapmuse. So I have, let's see. Jim Kelly, they had a Super Bowl record nine turnovers. But this is the most turnovers in one single Super Bowl game. Yeah. By just the quarterback. By just the QB. Let's see, Cam Newton. OK. Donovan McNam. Ron Jaworski. Ben Rofflersberger. Who? Rofflersberger. Kurt Warner. Matthew Stafford. Peyton Manning. Rex Grossman. And Tom Brady. Wow. Maybe there's a few missing, but. Wait, what's going to say Peyton Manning? Well, that's the list I have. I mean, Stapmuse has never let us down before. Wait a minute. I'm looking at the literal official Super Bowl five box score right now. And Craig Morton and three passes intercepted. Yeah. So what are we doing? 12 for 26, 1, 26, 7, 1, touchdown, 3 intercepted. Well, that's the list. This information is unreliable. But either way, none of you's got it. So that means I and the last one standing. That's not true. What do you mean it's not true? No one said any of those names. He said Craig Morton. He did say Craig Morton. Oh, damn it. How about this? So I'm going to give Kovino and Ilo both a point for that round. All right. Sounds good. This is why I hate this joke. I'm such a jerk. OK, it's all right. This is why I hate it. All right. Second, and I named the second category after Ilo. This just ruins all of my integrity. Isaac was in his documentary part four. All right. You have five seconds to name an NBA player who joins Kobe Bryant on the list for most career points in the playoffs. So players on the top of the list for most career points in the playoffs. Going to take the top 25. Nick, you are up first. Go. I got to go, Michael Jordan. He says MJ. Oh, he's not on my list. I'm kidding. Yes, on the list. Oh, man. Oh, they say. Ilo. Let's go LeBron. Obvious at number one. Rich. Steph Curry. Steph Curry at number 10. Nice, Kovino. Clay Thompson, then. Clay Thompson. Good one. Top 25? No. The Splash Brothers not there. No, not unless. Sorry. All right. Splashy, splashy. Back to Nick. Sorry, Blake. Let's go with Magic Johnson. Magic Johnson is on the list at number 17. Ilo. Karim. Karim, number three, 57.62. Rich. This is not just NBA finals playoffs, right? Playoffs. Playoffs. Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant is on the list at number seven. Yeah, he is. 40.985. Back to Nick. Scotty Pippen. Scotty Pippen, number 19. 36.40. Scotty P. Yep, Ilo. I'm panicking. I'm going to crash out. Wilt. Wilt is on the list at 21 with 36.00. Boom, Rich. Wow. Rich, cool. I'm going to pull Mad Dog Russo. I like it all. Got like Jerry West. Jerry West is on the list at number nine. 44.57. Good battle going, Nick. One. Back. I'm sorry, dude. Ah! Oh, that bit. All right, this is between Ilo and Rich. Ilo. Elgin Baylor. Elgin Baylor, number 20. 36. Rich. Sweet Timmy Duncan. Sweet Timmy Duncan at number six. 51.72. This is a Hail Mary. John Havlicek. Yes. Oh! He's all the way up to number 16. 15.15. 15. And Clay Thompson's not on the list. Wow. How crazy is that? Rich. Playoff points, huh? Two. One. Oh, Dirk Tavitsky. Yeah. Oh, he got it. Right at the wire. 36. Number 18. All right, back to Ilo. Carl Malone. Number eight. Hot car. 47.61. Rich has anything left. It's because I'm getting names out here. Three. Two. One. Wayne Wade. D-Wade is on the list. Oh! Good call. Good call. Dan alive. Dan. Ilo. Cold-blooded. Isaiah. Isaiah...wait. Isaiah Thomas. No. No, not on the list. Oh! I'm the smartest man alive! Neither Isaiah. So it's a three-way tie. Yeah, Rich gets that round. So, Covino, Ilo, Rich, all on the board. Let's go to the third category quickly. No, let's go to Ilo's update. I want to do overtime. Okay. I mean, because you always tell me, let's do the update. Well, I wanted to give the other players a chance to get into the overtime. I'm sorry, he's losing. You're out, Nick. All right, what's up, Ilo? Well, Rich is a new man since the Super Bowl. When have you been looking at a clock? I know. Oh, man. Oh, man. Wow. I just, uh, a footnote for people in America out there. That was a serious radio burn. I noticed that. Clock, what's that? Oh, man. Well, speaking of scorching the U.S. women's hockey team, it's right into 3-0 at the Winter Olympics today with a 5-0 victory over Switzerland. American skier Lindsey Vaughn, who crashed 13 seconds into her women's downhill run on Sunday, posted on Instagram today, quote, unfortunately, I sustained a complex tibia fracture that is currently stable, but will require multiple surgeries to fix properly. My ACL and past injuries had nothing to do with my crash whatsoever, unquote. So that on an Instagram post from Lindsey Vaughn today, speaking of Instagram, New England Patriots receiver Stefan Diggs and music superstar Cardi B have unfollowed one another on Instagram, leading to speculation about the status of their relationship. The Super Bowl champion Seahawks announced today that they will hold their championship celebration on Wednesday, beginning with a rally at Lumen Field and then a parade through downtown Seattle. Finally, guys, I thought this was a joke, but it turns out this is absolutely true. I got confirmation from the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, which oversees New York City's water system. They posted that New York City saw a significant reduction in water usage during the Super Bowl halftime show, but in the 15 minutes after the halftime show ended, there was a spike in usage equivalent to 761,719 toilets flushing across New York City, including flushing itself. Back to you guys. Damn. I thought it was like from a parody account, but I literally emailed him and I'm like, guys, is this actually you? It was actually them. I love the investigative research. It just means everyone waited after till after the halftime to use that. Speaking of unfollows, was it true that Tom Brady wasn't following the Patriots? Was that a true story? Was that just a rumor? I don't know. No, but apparently I saw something that said he actually refollowed them or followed them back. Oh, really? You know, it was kind of cool too. I saw Tom Brady and his interaction with like Green Day and just that weird mutual respect of like Haman Mike Dernst shaking hands and like, yeah, kind of weird to see that behind the scenes. So we got overtime next, last one standing and stick around for more Covino and Rich on Fox Sports Radio. Are you hiring and facing headaches? Well, if you are, staffing your business is complex. So join us for iron Mike broke Mike Tyson will be here giving away more prizes. And I do want to shout out our buddy Brock who stopped by to say hello today. Brock with the good hair and shout out to Kathleen Brock. Thanks for visiting and everybody that joined us Super Bowl week. If you missed anything, Covino and Rich FSR on YouTube. All right, Danny back to you buddy. Yeah, Brock is here to see my Lakers. Yeah, that's right. That's fun. We're here to see his hair, his glorious hair. All right, tiebreaker time. Whoever comes closest. So you're just going to buzz in with your name when you're ready to go. By the way, this is between Covino, Rich and I low for the W. How many interceptions has Aaron Rodgers thrown in his 20 year NFL career? Regular season numbers, by the way, just regular season. Yeah, regular season. 20 years. Your career. But hold on 20 years. He okay. All right. Get your guests together. Hold on. All right. Hold on. One second. Everyone has to write it down. It has to be like brainwave. You also have it down. Hold on. I agree. Hold on. Hold on. And then we'll go around and ask. All right, Covino. Wait, hold on. Hold on. All right. All right. All right. All right. Everyone locked. Rich, are you using a calculator? I am actually. I low you locked. I'm locked. All right. Steve, you locked. Yeah, I guess. Rich, you locked. What did you write down, Cove? Write it down. I love that you write yours down. Oh, I didn't write mine down. Write it down so we know you're not a lying thief. I am a lying thief. Just not in this specific instance. You're a man of integrity. I was going to say 150. 150, okay. I wrote down what number, Covino, so you know what I'm telling the truth? 136. 136. The actual interception number is 123. Oh. Rich is the closest at 136. 19, Rich. That is your 19th victory. I count them every time I win. No, you want to know how, what, what in the Y actually did math? You said 20 seasons. I said, ah, three of them. Didn't he like not play for three years because of five, right? Oh, so that's how you got it. Then I said 17. He very rarely had double digits. He had a couple of years where he had like five or less. Yep. So I did 17 seasons times. I said about eight interceptions. So 17 times eight was 136. There you go. Look at that. So close, close, close game. You said it, buddy, man. I'm so disappointed. Sorry, man. For some reason when Rich wins, it's never fun, right? Yeah. But Rich only wins when, sorry, no offense, I look, but when the game, fire's not here. Yeah, whatever. But anyway. Hey, it's baseball time, guys. Why are you treating my win like yesterday's Super Bowl? That was exciting, guys. I don't know. That was really fun, huh? No? I much prefer the halftime show where we just got it chilled. So let's all put our NBA caps on our baseball caps on and no, our NBA shorts and our baseball caps. I'm not putting my luge onesie on first. We'll be discussing more NBA tomorrow, I guess. If you guys did doubles, Luge, who would be on the, on the bottom, who would be on top? We'll leave that to the listeners of Fox Sports Radio. Let us know. Let us know. We'll see you guys later. We'll be there to see you in the prom. You're definitely the bottom. We're guaranteed human.
