You need this intel to live in today's world. By this time, all adults, especially parents, who fail to understand the obvious harmful effects that social media puts on our children, are simply avoiding reality. This is why the state of Virginia is attempting to do what so many parents simply won't. I'm Kim Commando for LinkedIn. A great hire can change everything. LinkedIn's AI assistant filters applicants, showing you the top matches fast. Post your job for free@LinkedIn.com Kim the Governor and the legislature of Virginia believe social media on young people is the root of a growing mental health crisis. Anxiety, depression, hostility, a lack of empathy, and a host of other discoveries are clearly traceable to the amount of time spent on social media. Two weeks ago, on January 1, Virginia's new law restricting teens under the age of 16 to one hour a day on social media went into full effect. This has nothing to do with the First Amendment, but everything to do with our kids. This one is worth watching. Sign up for my five star rated newsletter right now.

It's intoxicating.

3:50

Speaker C

The writers just know how to trick ya.

3:51

Speaker A

There's always a twist in this show.

3:53

Speaker B

It's nothing you would expect.

3:54

3:56

Speaker B

I don't know if there's ever been a time, Andrew, more than right now, when if you don't know what's happening in the whole consumer tech world, AI.

4:05

Speaker A

World, you're like left behind.

4:14

Speaker B

I mean, has there ever been a time where this show has been more important than right now?

4:16

Speaker D

Especially with AI being implemented in everything every single day.

4:20

Speaker B

Yeah, it's just nuts.

4:25

Speaker D

It's changing fast.

4:27

Speaker B

Let's talk about what seems like it would be a dumb Internet meme or nonsense that's spreading like crazy. Grok on X. And Grok is of course, X's AI name is happily slapping bikinis on everyone. Politicians, celebrities, the President Elon was laughing about it and everybody was having a good time. But then things went a little crazy. They started including children, but then not just bikinis on kids, but lingerie. No warnings, no blocks, nothing.

4:28

Speaker A

Listen to this.

5:02

Speaker B

Between January 6th and January 7th Grok created 6700 of these images per hour.

5:03

Speaker A

Per hour? Yeah.

5:14

Speaker D

I thought it was going to be for those two days combined.

5:16

Speaker B

85% of all pictures on Grok are now sexualized.

5:19

Speaker D

That's cr. And. But not all of them are children.

5:24

Speaker A

A large majority are.

5:27

Speaker D

Oh, that's so gross.

5:28

Speaker B

The team says that they have.

5:30

Speaker A

This is their quote.

5:32

Speaker B

Lapses in safeguards. You think?

5:33

Speaker D

Okay, what was the safeguard? Paper towels that you duct tape to the door to the AI Chatbot.

5:36

Speaker B

Well, you know, Grok does have spicy mode, so you put Grock in spicy.

5:43

Speaker D

Mode, but it shouldn't ever cross that line when it comes to minors.

5:48

Speaker B

Never, ever, ever. Elon hasn't stopped it. Yep. This is not about free speech. It's about a billionaire deciding that child safety guidelines don't apply to his products. If they wanted to make this stop, they could.

5:51

Speaker D

I tried to take a picture of my own daughter and turn it into, like, a color page that she could color in, and it said it couldn't because she was under the age.

6:02

Speaker B

But you weren't on Grok.

6:11

Speaker D

No, that was on ChatGPT.

6:12

Speaker A

Yeah.

6:13

Speaker D

Okay, go, Elon, call them, see what they're doing and just copy paste.

6:14

Speaker B

That's it. That's all you need to do. So Meta came out with something called the neural band. It's a wristband that reads tiny muscle.

6:17

Speaker A

Movements in your wrist.

6:25

Speaker B

So what this means is that when you're wearing your Ray Ban Meta glasses and you want to write something, is that you can write messages on any.

6:27

Speaker A

Surface with your finger on a table.

6:37

Speaker B

On your legs, whatever it may be. Because finger writing on your thigh. If you think about that, you just see somebody finger writing on their thigh.

6:39

Speaker A

Yeah.

6:47

Speaker B

What you think, like, they're doing, like, spells or something?

6:47

Speaker D

That crazy person over there, they're just sending a Facebook message to a group.

6:50

Speaker A

That's it.

6:55

Speaker B

The AI Bartender Break reals R1 will mix custom cocktails based on your mood. Tell it you're stressed, and it will make you a special drink in about a minute. Twelve hundred dollars.

6:56

Speaker D

Is it a robot? Does it have a face? Is it going to talk to me?

7:08

Speaker B

No, it's just a machine.

7:10

Speaker D

Just a machine? No. Okay.

7:11

Speaker B

Not vibing.

7:13

Speaker D

Is it wrong that when you set a new invention from our device, from Meta, and I immediately didn't want it because I don't trust them. Is that bad?

7:13

Speaker B

No, because they're not a good outfit.

7:22

Speaker D

I just don't trust anything they do. Anything they put out there. I think it's for them to try and suck my life force out of me.

7:25

Speaker B

Which they do.

7:32

Speaker D

Right. I won't get the glasses. I won't get this band. I'm not gonna be writing on my back.

7:33

Speaker B

Well, the glasses also do real time translations on the screen now too.

7:40

Speaker D

I won't have it.

7:44

Speaker A

No. Hey, if you love staying tech ahead, then you're gonna love, love, love. I'm talking about my free newslet. Join almost a million folks who get.
