He maintains that Israel's attacks on Hezbollah militants in Lebanon are a violation of the ceasefire, and if they continue, negotiations would be meaningless. Iran and the U.S. are due to meet for talks in Pakistan this weekend. The Strait of Hormuz remains at a near standstill despite the ceasefire terms calling for its reopening. Ship traffic is at less than a tenth of normal levels. Iran says vessels will only be allowed to transit in coordination with its military. Fox's Jonathan Savage, Israel says it will enter talks with Lebanon about driving Hezbollah out of the country. House Democratic leader Hakim Jeffrey says the pause in fighting is not enough. We need a permanent end to Donald Trump's costly and reckless war of choice, and House Democrats are committed to bringing about that outcome. Yesterday, Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer promised to bring a war-power's resolution to the floor as a way to end the conflict. A Central California sheriff's deputy has died in a shooting. Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreau revealing officers were serving an eviction notice at a home when a suspect opened fire with a high-powered rifle. Stressing the suspect is still barricaded inside the home. Fox's Christian Goodwin, the sheriff says the suspect failed to pay rent for 35 days and had been expecting law enforcement to arrive immediately shooting in officers when they arrived.
