Hey Bible readers, I'm Miss Emily, and this is the Bible recap. Perkins! [♪ OUTRO MUSIC PLAYING [♪ Today's Bible Word! Exodus 152 says, The Lord is my strength and my song. He has given me victory. This is my God and I will praise Him. My Father's God and I will exalt Him. God tells the Israelites to have a seven-day party. It's called the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and He tells them to have it every year in order to remember what He did at Passover. This way, the Israelites will remember to tell their children and their children's children what God did for them. God is in charge, and He appointed Moses to speak for Him to the Israelites. God leads them through the desert by appearing as a cloud during the day and a fire at night. As they follow God, the Israelites see Pharaoh's army coming after them, and they are terrified. They let their fear win. They don't trust Moses, and they don't put their faith in God. They start thinking that their lives were better when they were in Egypt as slaves. But God has a plan. And when the Egyptian army closes in on the Israelites, God wins by parting the sea. It splits wide open the Israelites, and there are millions of them. Remember, cross through dry ground, and when they've made it to the other side, the sea closes again, and the Egyptian army is defeated. Then led by Miriam and Moses, the Israelites, the worship God by singing, playing instruments, and dancing. God is worthy of our praise. He loves us, He created us, He cares for us, and He fights for us. When the Israelites sing a song of praise, it is the first worship song in the Bible. God wants you to sing songs of praise to Him today too. He wants you to remember everything He's done for you, and He loves to hear your praise. What can you praise God for today? I can praise Him for joy today and every day, because He's where the joy is. {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an8 {\an
