Summary

Dana covers breaking celebrity legal drama including Taylor Frankie Paul's protective order filing against Dakota Mortensen, Blake Lively's failed settlement attempt in her lawsuit against Justin Baldoni, and updates on Savannah Guthrie's return to the Today Show amid her mother Nancy's disappearance. The episode also discusses reality TV relationship dynamics, PR crisis management failures, and Kanye West's UK festival ban.

Insights
  • PR crisis management fails when lawyers control messaging without considering public perception—Blake Lively's legal strategy contradicts reputation repair by posting to disappearing Instagram stories and using callbacks that alienate the middle-ground audience
  • Reality TV personalities in their early twenties face child-star-like trajectories where early dopamine hits from fame, followers, and brand deals create unsustainable expectations, leading to relationship instability and public drama cycles
  • Media institutions can suppress difficult narratives through explicit editorial directives—the Today Show's instruction to ignore Nancy Guthrie's disappearance demonstrates how corporate messaging can override journalistic responsibility
  • Apologies without sustained behavioral change lack credibility; audiences now demand extended proof periods before accepting redemption narratives, particularly in cases involving hate speech or abuse allegations
  • Bravo's shift toward younger ensemble casts (Summer House, In the City) over traditional Real Housewives franchises reflects audience preference for relatable drama over aspirational wealth narratives

G-O-F-U-N-D-M-E.com. It's your Daily Dose of Donna. Welcome to the show. Today is Tuesday, April 7th. I was about to give you guys the time, but then I thought, like, that's weird. I never do that. I never tell you what time it is, but it is Tuesday, April 7th. It's my last day before my spring break, taking a little bit of a spring break, but don't worry. I'll check in here and there. You don't worry. Don't you worry about it? Don't worry. Don't you worry about a thing? You're not losing me for good. How's everyone doing today? I'm having a little bit of a wild and out Tuesday. I have construction going on in my house. We're building a, like, a built-in cabinet under the stairs. It's like a whole thing, so it's loud. There's people. I had to send my dogs to daycare. My kids have friends over. Like, it's shocking that I'm even here, to be honest. So that's that. Just kidding. I never had the day that I can hang out here with you guys. Are you joking? Unless I'm going on vacation, which will happen tomorrow. So take this all in. Soak it in like a sponge. Let's enjoy the next hour. We have so many stories to cover, you guys. We have so many stories to cover. So much is happening. This morning when I woke up, nothing was happening. But now stuff is happening. So let's get into it. Make sure you hit that subscribe and that like. Let's hit that next milestone today with the numbers, with my subscribers. Okay, I think we can. So just make sure to hit that subscribe and get cozy because it's your daily dose of Donna. I have a couple of things that I want to talk about today. First being Subway sandwiches. It's not a sponsored ad. Wish it were. Do you guys know how expensive Subway is? I'm sorry. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I can't. I just spent $40 on two sandwiches for the boys. For Subway. Thanks Trent for gifting a membership. What is up with that? Like in this economy, we're spending $40. I'm shocked by it. And my kids love it. I can't get them off Subway. They always want Subway. And I'm like, there's so, we have a Jersey Mike's. We have like so many great restaurants here in Los Angeles. Nope, Subway it is, Subway it is. I'm so over it. Like what, 40 bucks? No, they don't come with caviar. And one of them is just veggie. Dylan doesn't even put protein in his sandwich, not even cheese, just bread and veggies. Not for me, not for me. All right, we are going to, another thing I wanted to get into, my second thing is that it was really interesting trying to tell the guy Gabino, blessings to Gabino. He's phenomenal. He does our cabinets, he's doing the built-ins. And I told him, he said he was gonna be done by now, but he's not done. So I was like, Gabino, I'm not gonna be available for about an hour. He goes, okay, if I need you, I'll go down there and tell you. And I was like, no, I won't be available. Like I'm not gonna be available. I'm on YouTube. And he was like, what? And I was like, I go on YouTube. And he's like, you watch YouTube? And I said, yeah, I go on YouTube. It's, you know, he's like, why you watch YouTube? And I said, just hopefully everything will be okay. So if Gabino comes in here, we'll just make him part of the show. Could be fun. Remember when Vicente came in? When Vicente was part of the show, I need to find that episode. That was, if you are an OG, you saw Vicente coming in here and being like, hi people to you guys, that was the best. That was a fun day. New people here, I have no idea what I'm talking about. But if you just joined the show, subscribe and kind of hang in, hang out every single day, you're gonna get to know all the characters in my life, including Lance. Lance and I are gonna do a special Patreon episode this week, which is why I didn't release one on Sunday because I'm holding out for our spring break edition. And I just wanna let you know that he has no idea I signed him up for that. So on Patreon, I'm asking for you guys to write our questions. Ask us anything over on Patreon. We will answer it down. Care what it is, anything you want, okay? Should we get into the stories? I said we get into the stories. And the first one is gonna be about, it's breaking news, it's about Taylor Frankie-Paul. She has a protective order against Dakota Mortensen. I actually don't really understand this because all of it is a little confusing to me. She has now filed a protective order against her ex Dakota Mortensen amid claims of domestic assault. She's basically, I mean, the details of the request for the order are under seal, but in these court filings, Taylor Frankie-Paul claimed that Dakota demonstrated a pattern of abusive conduct and coercive control during their relationship and described several times in which he allegedly acted violently towards her. She included screenshots of text messages, pictures of bruises. And this comes shortly after he filed a protective order against her, citing a new alleged incident that took place in February, 2026. He said she assaulted her, she assaulted him on February 23rd, claiming he sl- I'm sorry, she says he assaulted her, claiming he slammed her head against the dashboard of his truck and struck her knee and elbow. According to the documents, she said that he did that after he drove her away from her residence against her will. Her three children were allegedly sleeping inside of the home at the time. See, the story that I believe he said was that she wouldn't let him leave. And she kept kind of like running after him and running into his truck. And he wanted to leave and she wouldn't let him leave. I don't know if this is true that he actually is banging her head against a dashboard, but that is a wild story, no question, right? Like there's no question there. But this court order is being live streamed right now. And actually right before I came in, I was watching Emily Baker because she had a live feed of it. So let's see what's happening in the moment. If you guys wanna jump into Taylor Frankie-Paul and Dakota's court hearing, now they, as far as I can see, are not there. They are not in there, so it's just the lawyers. Here's just a little bit of it. Given that we're, I mean, I guess I'm assuming that even if that were denied, you'd wanna hearing on that as well. Of course. So maybe we can discuss with that for the same time on the 28th, was it on the 30th of April? That's why I brought it up. Parent time. Not that I'm aware of. Okay. You're on the videos that were submitted by Petitioner. Were you able to watch those? I did. Okay. All right, very good then. Then I believe Petitioner is Dakota in this case. Respondent is Taylor Frankie-Paul. So when they are asking about- This is the Dakota versus Taylor protective hearing. So the Taylor one came in like right before court started. If you reviewed the videos, those would be videos from Dakota submitting them to determine parent time. So when they talk about the merits, they are not deciding the entire universe of whether this temporary protective order becomes a permanent form of a protective order or a longer form of a protective order. They are just trying to determine parenting time because when this initial order was filed and signed temporary full custody went to Dakota and they are trying to sort that out now. Well, the same courtroom at all. You know, what's interesting is earlier on, I was listening and the judge was asking, does this have anything to do with the kids with the way that the kids are being handled? And Dakota's attorney, this woman here, let's see if it's this moment. And Mr. McDonald filed a handful of exhibits on behalf of the Guardian of Lightham office yesterday. I did see the Guardians exhibits as well. And your honor- Which was largely related I think to the former criminal matter, okay. And your honor, just to clarify, what was filed by Dakota yesterday was a correction on the exhibit list that was- I did see that as well. The date was corrected on the backup. The registration description changed, right? Okay, all right. So mine- Yeah, the- He asks, is there anything that the kids are involved with and, or is this just between Taylor and Dakota? And Dakota's attorney, this woman says, yes, the kids are involved, meaning she has been actually physical with the kids the kids is what Dakota is saying. I'm assuming that's probably about the stool incident. It's really, really toxic, you guys. It's so bad. Like these two kind of, and I know that this is kind of cruel to say out loud, but I think Taylor, Frankie, Paul and Dakota Mortensen just need to go away. Like do their own thing, get off TV. We have seen time and time again that being on TV, if you are mentally struggling, emotionally struggling, substance struggling, or abusive, et cetera, like it never works. It never works for you. The chances that Taylor, Frankie, Paul is gonna walk out of this, if like they need to not ever film her again and they need to not film Dakota again and those poor kids. That's honestly how I feel. Now, yesterday there was a whole article about Taylor, how she was basically saying that she's walking away from the Mormon church. I don't know. I think she needs more church. She needs a little bit more Jesus in her life or something. Right? Like this is probably not the time to walk away from anything except Dakota. It's such a toxic situation. It kind of makes me feel gross inside. It's a very teen mom coded. You know, I always say that watching teen mom makes me feel a little icky. Maybe not like the newer episodes, but those old school episodes with like Tyler and Caitlin, the mom and dad or Janelle's mom, Keifa or Farrah. That's that same kind of energy. So much for me. Okay. Speaking of Mormon wives, while we're still in the Utah bucket, there is a little bit of drama because apparently Jesse, who just broke up with her husband, Jordan and went on call her daddy is now being seen hanging out with Marciano, which is what the major cheating drama was about anyway. If you guys think I'm speaking a different language, it's because I am. Honestly, it's because I am. I like, none of this makes that much sense to me. It's so stupid. But I think that all of these girls are truly just panicking right now that the show is not going to be picked up. And they're doing everything in their power, every single one of them, to show that they're going through a struggle, that they need guidance, that they're like, they want cameras back up. They want drama. And so, Mikayla, who's also on Mormon wives, posted of course, she's trying to of course, drum up some drama about this, about the fact that Marciano and Jesse are hanging out. So she did a little video here. Yeah, you don't get it yet, do you? I just gave you opportunity of a lifetime, brother. It says Mikayla, it basically says M and M, that's Mikayla and Macy, after driving over four hours to prove that Krusty Man was lying and now they're hanging out. And that's of course, a reference to Mikayla. I mean, sorry to Jesse Draper. And then of course, we have Jen Affleck. Oh my gosh, you guys, I struggle with Jen Affleck. It's every, it's because of what I heard about her from Dancing with the Stars, like how Lance told me that she just doesn't have a personality and then I think to myself, oh my God, all these girls just turn it on for TikTok and like, who are they in real life? But I think Jen is desperate, because remember that article that came out that there was gonna be a new show around Jen? I think she's desperate to like really drum up the drama. I don't know if there's a new show or not, but what do you guys think about this? This is her newest TikTok, trying to be vulnerable and relatable. All right, guys, we are moving today. We're moving for like the fifth time in a year, which is, it sounds crazy, but hopefully this is the last unofficial move for a really long time. In the last two to three years, there's been so much has happened between two babies, reality TV show Dancing with the Stars, moving, identity, faith, life crisis. I'm very hopeful for this next chapter of my life. I hate crying on camera. But I will, but I'll do it, I'll do it. I hate it, but I'll do it. And the video continues, I don't wanna bore you guys, but the video continues and she basically doesn't mention her husband at all. You know, Zach Affleck, the blondie. She doesn't mention him at all. She's not wearing her ring. So people are saying, oh my God, is this the end of them or is this whatever? This is where we have a problem. She says my frontal lobe is not fully developed yet in this video. She's in her early twenties. I want you guys to understand this. These girls are effed, every single one of them, because it's a child star, just the same as a child star, just a different font. You know how I always said that working on all those Disney shows and stuff, you saw all these child stars that really, their whole identity and lives were wrapped up into being like idolized and just, oh my God, admired when you're really, really young. And then what happens? Nothing but down. It only goes down. It never goes up. So you start your life in this high, high, high, so much drama, so much attention, so many likes, so many brand deals, dancing with the stars, this, that, this, that, and then it's gonna go away. How in the world can you find your own happiness when you're so used to being on top of the world? It's impossible. It's absolutely impossible, which is why child stars tend to get into drugs and other forms of dopamine hits, so that they can find that high again. And it never hits. It never hits when it starts. That's why I don't think Wes and Amanda are gonna end up together, because I think the dopamine hit that they started with from being like each other's partners is gonna go away. And that actually reminds me, I'm gonna move on over to a little bit of some of the other, I wanna talk about all the things, okay, you guys, we have so many things to talk about. So we're gonna get into all of it, but before we do, I wanna remind you guys, this week's episodes are brought to you by Lola Blankets, and I have a great discount code for you guys. Okay, so the next story that I wanna cover here is, let's do a little bit of a West and Amanda update. West was spotted last night, you guys. Number one, West Wilson posted on Instagram stories for the first time after this crazy drama, and you would be shocked. You would be shocked that his post, his story that he posted is nothing groundbreaking. It's actually so stupid because I don't think he's a smart guy, and I think there's a part of him that even though he's getting the villain cut right now, I think he's excited about it. He's like, oh yeah, bring it on. Like more attention, more views, more looks, da-da-da-da. So his Instagram story yesterday, this was the first one. It was him and this guy Soho Brody, who they go viral all the time by doing these white boards. Like let me show you, you know, let me tell you all about summer house seasons one and three. I don't know if you've ever seen those videos, they go completely viral. So he's in downtown Indianapolis with Soho Brady. This is his return to social media after a scandal that rocked the Bravo world. This, oh my God, Trent, you're right. He's got a short hand. He's a small hand guy too. Okay, so this is his first story back. And then he posted this, which is a brand deal for complex. And it's from two hours ago. I mean, complex is not firing him. I'm actually really, really shocked by this. That's kind of wild. Of course the comments are probably, you know, their comments are probably upset about it, but I mean, this is your winner. My new show, launching in April. Welcome to Complex on the scene. If it's happening in the world of sports, I'll be there. Whether it's a stadium, tunnel, fan zone, or celebrity suite, you have a front row seat with me. The intersection between sports and culture only like Complex can tell it. Am I crazy or is Complex, I guess it's just a sports magazine or a sports website. I don't know. It ain't looking good. What's up everybody? I'll be shocked if they keep them on the show or maybe they will because they're gonna say like, you know, he needs, like he's getting attention. People are talking about it. People are looking at it. Now there was all these rumors yesterday going around. I think Dumois said that he was laying poolside for this trip and he said something along the lines of the fact that he was dating Amanda seriously. Now we don't have the actual like receipts or anything, but apparently he was dating Amanda and he says I'm dating her seriously, we're together and it's not that big of a deal. Like Sierra and I were not a thing. Like it's not a big deal. And what I said yesterday was if they don't actually take it all the way and if they don't stay together and they're not end game, they need to be Tori and Dean 2.0. And here's the thing, Tori and Dean didn't end up working out but they made so much money and then they lost all that money for all those times that like they were together, right? They had six failed reality shows. They had 46 kids, they had 275 chickens and a random like llama and a goat. They lived in 15 houses, they had 16 businesses and they still got divorced. But at least they made that affair worth it. If you're gonna have a public affair and you're gonna cheat on your, like you're gonna f over your best friend and you're gonna like all these things, right? If you're gonna do this, if you're gonna jump in the water, you better swim, you better swim to the end, go the distance, okay? You don't just wade in, you don't put your toe in, you go all in, you get all wet, top to bottom, okay? So I wanna see Amanda and West walk in to that reunion with a wedding ring and a baby bump, okay? So I'm waiting for that. Now, secondly, I will say that we have a new trailer for In the City. I really wanna play it for you guys. In the City is the new show that is going on Bravo. It's gonna air, the first episode allegedly is gonna air right when summer house, like after the summer house, either reunion or finale. I unfortunately cannot show you the trailer because I don't wanna get screwed over, but I will say that this is the cover. There is 57 people in this cast, okay? It is a huge cast. Hi, sorry, my son's friend's mom is asking how they're doing. And this is another thing, what am I supposed to say? Hi, I can't talk right now. I'm live on YouTube talking about Bravo. Like do other moms understand this? They are hanging and having fun. I just ordered them a very expensive lunch. Should I say that? Okay, so yes, we have Lindsey Front and Center. Of course we have Kyle and Amanda right to her left. We have Lexi, I'm sorry, what's his name? What was his name? The good looking one, Andrea and his wife, Lexi, kind of right behind Lindsey. And then we have 400 people that I don't know yet. And I'm not really sure who they are yet. I saw someone was Georgina. Oh, we have Danielle Oliveira up here, which is a choice, okay? It's a choice. Lindsey is the lead. It's too many people on a show. I'm really surprised that they put so many people on the show. I imagine they're gonna dwindle down, but you guys, what is so exciting about this is that it's not just the three of them. I thought it was really Lindsey, Kyle and Amanda's show and that's it. And I was like, oh, well that show is over because Lindsey doesn't talk to Amanda now when Amanda and Kyle are broken up and like, what? But no, there's so many of them. So it premieres on May 19th. So it's about a month away from here. And I'm super excited about it. But I agree, the picture itself, I don't know what they're trying to do if they're trying to do like a friend situation, sex in the city, but it's 400 people. It's too many people. Now in the trailer, there is one moment in the trailer where you see West and Amanda together, but you don't see them in the way that, you know, you would imagine that they're actually together together. She just basically says hi, cutie and gives them a hug, which of course, you know, the editors are like, get that in, we gotta get that in right now. We gotta get it in. So I am actually very looking forward to that. I love a New York show. I love Lindsey Hebert. I'm sorry, you can't make me hate Lindsey no matter what you do. Lindsey Hebert is everything for me. She really is. So I'm excited for that. The seasons of real world, I mean, real world, the seasons of Real Housewives are just dwindling for me, the interest in Real Housewives. I'm just not that interested. I watched Real Housewives of Rhode Island and I will continue to watch it, but I'm not like desperate for it. Beverly Hills is just a snooze fest minus a couple of moments here and there. I don't care about Real Housewives anymore. I hate to say it. I really don't care. So for me, Bravo is really killing the game with the younger shows right now. If they are going to hone in on anything, it's gonna be the younger shows, the summer houses, the Southern Charms, the next gens and the in the city. And that I'm kind of into it. So I'll be into that show, no question. Let's get into a little, sorry to depress you, Blake and Justin News, hate to do it, but gotta do it. Blake and Justin have met. They met yesterday, not Blake and Justin, but of course Blake and Justin's attorneys, both met yesterday and have both rejected the latest effort to settle their legal war. They met with a new judge in New York on Monday. I don't know why, but they declined and the bitter case. I don't think that Justin Bell Doney has a choice in the matter because he is a defendant. And they may have tried to settle, but Blake Lively, her people are not backing down. No agreement has been reached in the behind closed doors hearings. They took place three days after Judge Lyman, dismissed 10 of Lively's 13 claims. I think Blake Lively is on absolute crack-a-ola if she thinks that she's going into this in a strong way, but of course she's spinning as much as she possibly can. It's like, they can tell you, you lost. And she's like, thank you so much for telling me I won. It makes no sense. But at the federal court, Judge Sarah Cave held back-to-back remote phone conferences with the lawyers and Blake Lively's team went first. And that's pretty much that, you guys. They didn't do anything with it, it didn't go anywhere with it. And I'm not surprised. Now, Molly McPherson, who is a PR rep on, I met her on TikTok and Instagram, she has always been solidly not in Blake Lively, not in Blake Lively's corner when it comes to this case. And I've always really appreciated that. So she talks about this today on her Instagram and the Blake Lively, and she's talking about PR fixers and what it's all about. So let's watch this little clip from Molly. PR fixers are dead and Blake Lively is the proof. The old model goes something like this, something happens. It bleeds online. Everyone starts talking about it aided by the algorithm and then you have an online reputation problem. Then the celebrity brings in the fixers, usually lawyers aided by publicists. Sometimes your famous husband, everyone else becomes that person's voice of God. Every move, every statement, every post gets filtered through those people. And the person in the middle of the crisis follows all of it because that's what they're supposed to do. Blake Lively has done exactly that. And I posit there is no one in Blake Lively's corner who's looking out for Blake Lively. And that's why I think she's getting torched. I cannot tell you how many times in my work as a crisis manager that I've had to mop up the mess left by a lawyer. There is a valid reason why you need them in your camp, particularly if you're in the middle of a crisis, but they must be kept in their lane. Lawyer's job is to win a court, post up. Every decision runs through one filter, legal liability. A publicist's job is to get you press, ideally good press. Reputation lives somewhere else entirely. Back to Blake, this week a judge throughout 10 of 13 claims. Her lawyer immediately issues a statement calling a legal win, legally not wrong. It was reframed very quickly. It's good lawyering. But here's a question that I have. Who on Blake Lively's team is looking out for Blake? There is no one on Blake Lively's team that is looking out at the public and saying, how is the public interpreting all of this? For example, when this ruling came out, so many of her responses were posted to Instagram stories. Think about trying to reset your reputation and build trust. But you're posting to an area of a platform where that message disappears after 24 hours. This is my truth, then it's gone. If you're trying to rebuild your public perception, you don't post it to something that disappears. Then there's a statement of adding the dragon emoji at the end. It's a deliberate callback. It's just a wink to tell people support me. But it's also a wink, I would argue, to Taylor and her team. Don't forget me. We're in it together, right? Here's another mistake that I see people make in my work is that they will only communicate to their base. They'll debase their critics, but put all their energy into their base. That's not where you manage a reputation. You manage it in the middle. They're the people who can discern what's really going on by just reading a couple of articles or seeing a couple posts. But so often they get ignored. In May, Blake's lawyers could pull out a win for her. That's fine, but cliche in the court of public opinion, people aren't gonna wait until May. They're deciding right now what's happening. And this is what happens when PR fixers run the show. You might win the argument, but you will lose the crowd and the crowd determines your reputation. And your reputation affects your life. Tomorrow, Wednesday. So that was Molly McPherson. I know it was long, but I thought every word was so genius. And this is what we've been saying about Blake from day one is that she doesn't have the right people in her corner, but even if she does have the right people in her corner, I don't think she's listening to them. I don't think she cares what they have to say. I think Blake lively is her own worst enemy. Ryan and Blake are their own worst enemies. And they have done everything wrong from day one in this entire crisis, everything wrong. Like West Wilson and Amanda Batula's joint statement was probably written by whoever's telling Blake and Ryan what to do. They have not handled this in the best manner, not even in the best, in a good manner. Like at all, they've been actually so strategically bad for their case. So it doesn't, none of it makes sense actually, you know, what they're doing, why they're doing it and how they're saying it. But what she makes, she says something so smart. You went out of your way and we went through the statement yesterday, this long ass word salad statement. You went out of your way to write a statement that long. And yet you put it on your Instagram stories. And then only decided to put it on your feed like four days later, girl. Everything she does is just so willy nilly. But the issue with Blake is that she weaponizes being a victim, being a woman. It's the worst kind to be honest, when you victimize being a woman and a victim when you're not really, when you're actually the aggressor. There's nothing worse. And if you are able to discern just a little bit about what's right and what's wrong, rather than vagina penis, I think that you're able to see, wait, it's not telling the truth. This is, she's using us like as puppets to fight her battles for her. It's gross. Wait, she only has 2,510 likes on that post. Enrique says, we gotta go and look. And you know she turned off her comments, meaning she only has limited comments, which means that she can't have, like I can't comment on it. It has to be people that she follows back. I'm pretty sure that's how those limited comments go. And even with all the people, she follows 700 people, but all of the people that she follows and supports and they support her, et cetera, she only has like 12 comments. So even with those 705 people, 16 comments, okay? It has a lot more than 2,500 likes. It has 169,000 likes. But the comments are wild. I'm proud of you. You're so bright. You're so wonderful. You're incredible. What is interesting is that I don't see any, I don't see Ryan Reynolds commenting on anything. Why? What is Ryan Reynolds doing? Oh, he's posting something on his stories. It better be good. Nope, it's about him. And by the way, this is just like a personal feeling. This font on the bottom here, whatever font that is that Instagram allows you to use is out of all the fonts. It's the worst. The worst font you could choose. Oh, nope. Also posting baseball stuff, Savannah bananas. Oh, and then let's see, posting about baseball cards or like Deadpool cards, cool, cool, cool. Oh, posting about him again. His wife is going through the battle of her life and he's like posting about himself. What a loser. A loser. Hmm. I don't wanna go through this anymore with Blake, you guys. I want out, I want off of this ride. I want nothing to do with it. She really gives me the ick. It's so Dalululand. We talked about that yesterday. It's so delusional. It's like, I don't think she, she doesn't deserve our energy, but we have to see it through at this point. I just, I'm really not a fan. Really not a fan. Okay. Is there any updates other than that in the Blake Lively world? I feel like that's it. Let her go to trial. Let her get on the stand and let her, honestly embarrass herself publicly. Let the jury make the decision for her, so that she will then have another person telling her that she doesn't have grounds for retaliation. And then what's gonna happen is that she's gonna lose it again and she's gonna say it's against women or the jury is, you know, whatever. She's gonna find a way to spin it and she needs to hire a good PR fixer. And unfortunately, I think Leslie Sloan is her PR person still today. And as we know, Leslie Sloan is horrible at her job. Truly horrible at her job. Okay. Let's move on to another story. I just wanna first remind you guys, have you heard about Bioptimizer as the magnesium? I told you guys about this yesterday. Let's move into Savannah and then a Dak Shepherd story. Okay. Savannah. Allegedly there's new rules at the Today Show since Savannah returned. Now yesterday, every single person and their mother was posting about Savannah returning in her yellow dress. And I actually just bought a yellow dress. Now I'm scared to wear it because if I wear it, I think people are going to say like, are you, is that for Nancy Guthrie or is that for you? But Savannah yesterday was the grand return. She got so much press. She got so many, you know, amazing, wonderful, like, oh, Savannah, as Zach said, she had a parade for her. It was a whole thing, okay? Did you guys know that there's these new rules at the Today Show? By the way, has anyone talked about Savannah today? Do you think it's going to be like a Jimmy Kimmel situation where the numbers are going to be huge day one, two, and then it's just going to completely fall off? Savannah, apparently the co-hosts on the Today Show were given instructions, serious instructions about how to handle Savannah coming home, okay? They said it was emotional behind the scenes, but the on-air marching orders were to be business as usual. Head of the broadcast, NBC staffers appearing on the show were explicitly instructed, do not address the disappearance of Guthrie's mother, Nancy, or even formally welcome her back. It was supposed to be business as usual. Producers said to act totally normal. Move forward as the vibe. It's been a hard year and a draining time. We hear the move is a practical one, they said. Correspondents mentioning Guthrie's situation would interrupt the flow and require her to respond. Fuck. Even so, Guthrie was welcomed back on air by her co-anchors, Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Jenna Bush and Al Jones and Carson Daly during the show. She says, it's good to be home. Someone's not home. Ready or not, let's do the news. I don't understand this bullshit fake life that we're living right now. People are going to, can you imagine your coworker is the, her mother goes missing and 65 days, it's gone. She's gone. No one has any idea where she was. And as Zach and I were talking about last night, that they found, oh, there's Zach, that they found the fighter pilots in Iran and they found, you know, we have Artemis going around the moon and yet, and yet, no sign of Nancy, and she comes back to the show and they literally are like, pretend it's not happening. Do not talk to her about it. If you talk to her about it, she's going to have to talk back about it. So we're just, we're not moving forward as normal. We're moving forward as Savannah is the hero of the day. Do not mention the word Nancy. In what world is your mom missing? And you're like, I don't want to talk about it on the fucking national news. Sorry for cursing. It's upsetting to me. It's upsetting. This is a dream situation for anyone who's lost someone in their lives. A dream situation is to get, he said, fireworks, streamers and people throwing panties on the stage. A dream scenario is to get every single person talking about Nancy. There should be a constant picture of Nancy up in the corner of that screen. Day after day after day. We can't move on without finding Nancy. We will fight hard to find Nancy until the end. You know who has a picture of Nancy up on their screen every single day? Brian Enten, Nancy Grace, Ashley Bamfield, surviving the survivor, Zach Peter. None of it makes sense. You're not going to put any indication about, don't talk about Nancy. I would like you to find that in the case of the missing woman that just happened in Oakland, California a couple of weeks ago, the one that works in a coffee shop. Can you imagine that her sister works on the Today Show and they're like, don't mention the biggest story in the media from last month. Don't mention it. So weird. It's so weird. Carson Daly. Okay, now Tommy, Tommy Boy. Tommy Boy was seen yesterday at Nancy's house because he has to get the specs because I think he's trying to move in. That is no question that he's trying to move in, right? We know that. But Tommy Boy is over at the house trying to kind of find his way through and around and try to kind of figure it out. And what's crazy is he looks honestly and I get it. Like, okay, I just want to say something about Tommy and Annie. They look guilty AF. Not because there's any actual evidence pointing that they're guilty. It's just the way that they've handled the situation with the letter and the crying. And then you know, Tommy yesterday in front of the house, walk. If you are not guilty, why wouldn't you just show a little bit more vulnerability? Why wouldn't you look at the press and be like, I'm so glad that you guys are still watching over this house and like keeping an eye, shining a light on Nancy. We miss Nancy every day of every hour of every minute. Like, thank you. Thank you, Brian Anton. Thank you. No, it's like, get out of here. Nothing to see here. How do you think Tomaso speaks in real life? Why did I just give him a Brooklyn accent? Nothing to see, get out of here. Just acting guilty. It feels, it's giving shady. It's giving shady. Stop. Tomaso walks like Donna Kelsey, you're... I need to find the clip. Did you play it for your show earlier? I need to find the clip. I sent it to Molly and Zach last night. Oh my God, it was so funny. If only you saw the things that we send to each other on the show. If only. I think that you would, you guys would lose your minds. One day on Patreon, I'm just going to walk you guys through our group text. Cause I think that you guys will literally lose your mind. Okay, here is Tomaso walking. Imagine the music. Donna. Okay. in the music. Dona. Dona. Dona. Na na na na na na na na na. How did he end up with Annie Guthrie? It doesn't feel like the pair matches to me. Just being honest. I'm trying to think if I want to show you the other thing I sent last night on the group checks, but I probably shouldn't. I mean, People Magazine gave me a lot of weird stuff yesterday. For example, a 22-year-old thought she was a pedophile until she realized that she just had OCD. What the hell? What are these headlines? Yeah, Tommaso does give creep vibes. Like you can't. And I'm not anti-Italian. I love myself an Italian king. He gives creep vibes. Another thing I sent to Molly and I said, should I buy you this as some sort of masturbation pillow? I was shocked. It came up in my... I think I'm not okay today. It came up in my For You page. And I was like, should I buy this for Molly? I could send that. I could show you guys that too. But maybe I should leave some of this stuff for Patreon. Now, if Zach is still here, I did send this to Zach yesterday. There is this one girl that I follow for all this conspiracy theory stuff, like when she really goes out of like... She goes wild, right? But she did a whole video on Helen Keller. And as an ode to Zach, we should watch her little video on Helen Keller. I feel like it could be a thing. Okay, let's watch just for a second. This is her telling her husband, trying to explain my latest deep dive conspiracies to my husband, Helen Keller. And for educational and entertainment purposes only, a little recap of everything that we've known growing up about Helen Keller, she was deaf and blind before the age of two. She got a sickness, right? She had a virus. I forget if it was garlic fever or whatever, but she was deaf. She was born completely healthy. Then she got sick when she was 19 months. She lost her hearing and she lost her sight. When she was seven, her teacher, Ann Sullivan, came and remember it was like she was teaching her how to, in her fist, kind of spell out water. She went on to be super successful. She went on tours. People would come and see her. She went to Harvard. She wrote 12 books. Did you know that she was on the FBI surveillance? Helen Keller? Yes. What? Because she was deaf and blind? No, because of her beliefs. Now, this is where it's interesting. Okay. First, some people... She's a photographer. That's weird. People looking back at medical records, which, by the way, allegedly some people say were in 9-11 burning. They're no longer these records of Helen Keller. She was not fully blind, not fully deaf. She could still see some, but the whole thing that is sold is that she was fully deaf, fully blind, flying a plane miraculously. What? She did fly a plane. Someone was helping her, obviously. But since Sullivan, her handler made out a lot of money on these tours, these book deals. Apparently, when Ann Sullivan got really sick and was about to die, I don't remember which book, her close book, maybe. Ann Sullivan is the new nanos, making money off of tragedy. The voice of the book, the author's voice throughout the whole book, it changed once Ann Sullivan died. And Helen Keller still had to finish the book. So you can see the tone change. I guess Ann Sullivan and her husband had pretty radical political beliefs, too, with the Socialist Party, Marxism. Helen Keller was defending the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. People are like, was that really Helen or is that really Ann Sullivan's voice behind her? It's like when you watch my show, you wonder, is it really Donna or is it Zach Peter's voice behind her? You guys know that I'm being puppeted by Zach Peter at all times. Everything I say, I have to get approval from Zach. It's wild. I was really going to, I was going to cover a couple other things, but he's my boss. He says I can't. He says Sheriff Harvey. Isn't that Ann Sullivan? Helen Keller is wild. Like even my kids know the lore around Helen Keller, though. Even my kids are like, I don't believe it. I don't trust it. I don't believe it. Really, really interesting. Okay. So, Savannah lives in a world where you're not allowed to talk about Nancy anymore. Say no Nancy, hear no Nancy. Do not mention Nancy. Nancy, we've moved on. 2026, New Year, New You. Do not talk Nancy. I would like Savannah to cover Nancy. Why can't Savannah do a story on guys at day 64 without my mom here? And I'm going to just be honest with you guys, like with the hostage situation that just happened in the Middle East in Israel and Gaza a couple of years ago, or for the last couple of years, it obviously is over now for a couple of months. I would like you to find one of those family members whose kids or friends or mothers or fathers were taken by terrorists. And yes, they knew that they were taken by terrorists. It's not like it was just this unknown thing, but their bodies or they were taken as hostages I would like you to find one of those people in those families that would be like, I don't want to talk about it anymore. Can we just like move on? Like, don't mention that their name to me. Okay. Cool. Today on the news, like what in the world? What? You should have a picture of her freaking mom on her chest every day all day. Do not forget Nancy. There should be a tip line every single day on the Today Show in the corner. There should be posters up in the wall of the studio in the back. It's so weird. Okay. Um, Dax Shepherd, let's talk about this Dax Shepherd story. But before I do it, want to remind you guys that the show is also brought to you by hers. Hell, thank you so much. You guys, I had three great sponsors this week. It's funny, we talked about it yesterday, how Kristen Bell never apologized for it. I feel like it actually worked out in her favor because then people were like, well, if she's not going to apologize, I'm not going to, I guess I can't be mad at her anymore. We're moving on. He said he was blindsided by the backlash. He was talking to Nikki Glaser on his show, Armchair Expert. He said that Kristen Bell's controversial Instagram post in October sparked outrage when she shared a message celebrating their 12th anniversary. She joked about how her husband once promised, I would never kill you, which was a remark that left many fans accusing her of trivializing domestic violence, particularly given that October was domestic violence awareness month. People were not happy. People that were the directors of family violence litigation clinics said, it's people like her that normalize abuse and silence survivors. So she ended up having to restrict the comments on the post. So six months later, now he's finally breaking the silence. And he says, I was alerted by someone that this whole thing was happening. He said, Kristen knew through her publicist, but she didn't tell me. So I actually didn't know. And this was brought to my attention after a week and a half. I had no clue. As Dax Shepard recounted to Nikki Glaser, he said, someone comforted me and I had to go to Kristen and be like, what are they talking about? And she's like, oh, that post I had. Obviously really upset about it. But Nikki Glaser brought up the anniversary post when she revealed to Dax that she had considered including a joke about it in her monologue at the Golden Globes. And she says, but I didn't do it because I'm friends with you. And I was like, I don't want to make his life harder. And Dax Shepard then said, please, I want to hear it. So she pulled out her phone and she read the joke, die my love. If I had legs, I'd kick you. Sorry, baby. And she added, these are not just Dax Shepard captions for his anniversary post. These are movies nominated tonight. It's actually really funny. Dax Shepard laughed and she said, I didn't do it. It was old news by then. But Dax Shepard admitted that their overshare remained a hot topic at the Golden Globes. People had moved on to another joint interview, et cetera. But he said that they're constantly fielding questions about the interview on the red carpet. And he said, and then, you know, he was kind of saying, like, we don't care. It's not that big of a deal. People were very, very upset about it, though. So I'm curious what you guys, if you care anymore, you're kind of over it. I think I'm over it. I didn't. Listen, sometimes you just have to let go and let be. Now, speaking of not over it, the Kanye stuff is wild today. And I don't love delving into Kanye because obviously every time I talk about him, it gets very controversial. People get really upset in the comments. As you know, I'm Jewish. It's going to hit me a little bit differently than it hits maybe someone that isn't Jewish or maybe a lot of you guys that are Jewish, it would hit you too. But obviously Kanye has really sparked some serious, serious waves of antisemitism in the last few years with all his craziness. And he was supposed to headline this UK festival, and I'm actually blown away and really, really thrilled that the UK did this, like, actually blown away that the UK has banned Kanye West. And the festival that he was supposed to headline is axed. Live Nation spent months planning and millions of dollars on rehabbing Kanye West. Executives from the company, which looks after the O2 stadium and the UK and festivals, including the Isle of Wight, Reading and Leeds, flew out from LA to see Kanye play in Mexico last month, and they wooed him to come to Europe. A source said that Live Nation put together a big package of multiple shows across the globe, including Wireless. They were advised it would be mad to put him on stage in Herringi, which I guess is in London. But they didn't listen. Now they're saying that they asked stakeholders, but this is simply ludicrous. Before they signed a deal with Wireless, they had asked about putting a show on at this one location and both turned them down flat. That should have at least shown them what a problem there was. So basically, he asked for and got $15 million to play three nights at this one stadium. And since then, of course, he's been axed. They say Live Nation should be able to get all $15 million back as the contracts say that it's the responsibility of the artist to get the visa. Because the artist is not able to go to the UK, it may be a major, major problem. There will be a loss of about $30 million. But honestly, it was a bad move. And I'm actually really impressed that the UK, who is not really known for upholding some of these rules, is doing the right thing. And when I say uphold some of these rules, I just think that there's been ground-breaking surges of hate crimes towards Jews in the UK. And so I'm actually really impressed that they did this because he performed here in Los Angeles to sold out shows. No problem. Lauren Hill, no problem. I mean, that's wild, right? But I just think it is, you know, when he wrote his letter, I read it to you guys. And I got a little bit almost for clumped, a little emotional reading it. I thought to myself, it seemed like a genuine letter. But everyone said, no, he's just releasing an album right now and he's just releasing a, going on tour. This is perfectly timed so that he can get away with going on tour and selling out and this and that because he apologized. More people than not did not agree with his apology, did not believe that it was real and did not agree that he was telling the truth. And what Christina is saying in the comments that is actually really smart is we need a year or two of change before I accept he really has changed. And that's what I think is missing here. It went too fast. You know, the most like vile Nazi propaganda you can possibly say on one side, then I'm so sorry, Jews, and then selling out a concert within a day, within two months or whatever. It's too much. I agree that like in these kinds of cases, as the way I look at it is, I would not want to financially support Kanye personally, but I would love to see a longer amount of time pass and see him not falling back into old patterns and not falling back into like old friendships and old propaganda, et cetera. So proof. Yes. I agree with you guys. And I think a lot of you guys agree with that. I think it's just really crazy that he's as successful as he still is when other people can say, can't say one negative thing about other minorities before getting canceled. But then this happens, you know? I mean, it's obviously very, very upsetting. But yeah, I mean, Kanye was banned from going to the UK like, wow, pretty crazy, crazy, but like, okay. I mean, you got to do what you got to do. I think that you, this is not about me and it's not about any of any of us, right? It's about how the UK wants to deal with this and set, I guess, set patterns or set precedence is the word, set precedence around how to handle people that are, you know, doing bad things out there, hateful things. Okay. Is there anything else I want to cover? I think that's it. There's a lot I can talk about, but like, it's like whole stories, bro. I'll jump in here and there. I'll do what I can to do short videos. And then of course, I'll be on Patreon. Thank you so much for being here, you guys. I adore you. I love you. And I thank you for being here and supporting the show and me. Call me over on Instagram to get an update of where I am every single day at this is Donna bowling. Love you guys. Have a great one.
