Hey everybody, welcome to the Indie Sound with Jimmy Starr, your backstage pass to the global independent music scene. They're called the Chad's. They're from Long Island, New York. They're a pop punk ska band comprised of four working musicians from the local music scene in Long Island. They have great musical backgrounds and I love it because their name is the Chad's, which is a stereotype of the alpha male frat bro Chad. And I knew that. I was in a fraternity in college. I was a fight out the theta and so it kind of like brings me back to my youth. So it's very cool. They produce catchy, danceable music that never fails to get the place hoppin' and draw the attention of the masses. So the music of the Chad's is reminiscent of pop punk rock and ska music of the year described as having subtle undertones of you two and no doubt among many other deep influences from the band's strong musical background. One thing that's cool about them too, just to give them a little plug, they've got a big show coming up. It's gonna be on Friday, June 19th and it's in Long Island at a place called 89 North and they're opening for a major moment and gone stereo and they're a great band. From what I've heard, because I haven't seen them myself, they put on a great show. I think you guys are gonna like it and you can find out more about them by following them in their social media or going to their website. So they just won the W-E-H-M Battle of the Bands and they also performed on the Jumbalaya stage at the Great South Bay Music Festival. They're gaining a lot of ground on radio and then in the Tri-State area. They also appeared on the WPIX Morning Show New York Living to promote their appearance at the festival and have released a couple of singles, The Neighbors and the one we're gonna play for you guys today called MFH, which I think you're gonna like a lot because they're very good. To me they're very reminiscent of Early No Doubt and No Doubt, one of the greatest bands ever. So I think it's gonna be a lot of fun. I think you guys are gonna like this a lot.
