Something everybody has heard about, but does it actually work? What is the law of attraction? How can we manifest our dreams? How can we make our dreams a reality? We've set out on a lot of experts like Michael Losey, who actually wrote the OG book, The Law of Attraction. He was featured on The Oprah Show several times. Pretty cool, huh? I really would call him an obsessed fan. He has been amazing, supportive, one of our original guests. And we've learned a lot about The Law of Attraction by talking with experts from around the world. So, I'm Julie Loken and I'm thrilled to have you join me today as we pull back the layers into a fascinating topic that I'm obsessed with that has captured the imagination of so many people, again, the law of attraction. If you ever wondered how to turn your dreams into a reality or why some people seem to effortlessly attract what they desire, this episode is for you. We'll break it all down. What the law of attraction is, how it works and how can you start using it today? This very day in your life to get what you've always wanted. Go ahead, grab some coffee, some tea or whatever fuels your soul and let's get into it. First things first, what is the law of attraction? At its core, the idea that your thoughts and feelings create your reality. So your thoughts create your reality with action infused into it. Meaning, if I am thinking, oh my gosh, I want to make a million dollars. I think it, I envision it and I'm also taking the action to get myself from point A to point B. Simply put, like a track's like, like a track's like. Think of your mind as a powerful magnet, whatever energy you put into the universe, whether it's positive or negative, it's kind of like karma will attract similar energy back to you. I'm guessing you've probably heard the saying, your vibe attracts your tribe, your vibe, attract your tribe. When you're feeling low, you know, misery loves company, misery loves company and when you are at top, you know, when you are feeling those positive vibes, when you're doing amazing things in your life, those people around you that are celebrating it, that is your tribe and you see those people who actually don't support you. When I'm doing something different outside the box that makes people uncomfortable and I hit a success marker and people are not necessarily cheering me on. I know that's not necessarily my vibe. We want you to attract a similar energy that you are giving out in this world. So you have to be very intentional in terms of the vibe that you are giving out. If you're radiating positivity, confidence and gratitude, you're more than likely to attract those people, opportunities and experiences that match those vibes on the flip side. Let's go on the flip side. If you're constantly focused on what's going wrong, who's done you wrong, who has come into your life that is negative, but you keep talking about it, you're living in fear, you're living in a constant state of flux. You're a lot more likely to attract more people with that energy into your life. Now let's talk about how this works. How does the law of attraction actually work? I'm going to break it down into three key steps. First, ask, second, believe. And then third, receive. You are going to receive what you are offering to the world. Be clear about what you want. So we're going to talk about asking. I want you to be clear about what you want, whether it's a new job, better relationships, financial abundance. You need to define your desires. I want you to write it down. I want you to visualize it and feel it. Write it down, visualize it and feel it. The universe loves clarity. We're going to talk about believing it. This is where the magic happens. Believing doesn't necessarily mean seeing. You have to believe wholeheartedly that what you want is already yours. If you want that financial abundance, you say to yourself, it is already yours. Let go of doubt and trust the process. Even if you can't see immediate results, the law of attraction does not often work immediately. There is work involved in it and there is patience as well. But you have to keep asking and believing every single day. This is often the hardest step, but it's also the most crucial. Open yourself to receiving. Step number three, open yourself to receiving those opportunities. The universe works in mysterious ways. So stay open and alert. Sometimes your manifestations come in really in unexpected forms. So keep on the lookout. The way things come for you. You might not understand it at the time, but show gratitude for every small step in the right direction and start taking action towards your ask without that key element of action between asking, believing and receiving. You need to start taking action to take you from point A to point B. So how can you start manifesting? How can you do this in real time? First, visualize daily. Spend five to ten minutes every day visualizing your dream life. What does that look like? Is that creating a vision board? Or is it saying prayer? Or is it just offering up gratitude? Imagine it with such detail that the universe cannot ignore it, write it down, understand how it feels. What does it look like? What does it taste like? Engage all your senses in this manifestation process? Because the more you make it real in your mind, the more it will come true. And then practice gratitude, even in those very dark times. Those dark times when you just want to throw in the towel and give up, there are so many times when I am thinking to myself, why are you doing this, Julie? There's no point in it. Why should you be doing this? I ask the universe for support or a sign that I should be on this path. And even in those moments when I just want to give up, I practice gratitude. Oftentimes I beat myself up. We all beat ourselves up. We all are thinking, why am I doing this so stupid? I'm not good enough. I'm not pretty enough. I'm not smart enough. I'm not rich enough. Stop that right now. I want you to stop and eliminate negative self-talk. Pay attention to that inner dialogue. You really have to be very intentional in knowing how you speak to yourself. Replace I can't with I can. And I'm not enough with I am more than enough. This is so important. But you have to be so intentional on this that it often helps to carry notebook around with you and write down those times you notice those things that you tell yourself. And then say thanks. Okay. This is very important as well. I need you to visualize daily practice gratitude eliminate negative self-talk and then take inspired action. Many people think they can just manifest and sit around and say, I want to be rich. I want to get a new job. I need a new boyfriend. I need a new girlfriend. I need new clothes. I want to look pretty. And then they don't take inspired action. This is the key. Manifestation isn't just about sitting back and waiting for things to happen. Not the universe halfway. The universe needs your help instead of just asking they need your help. Take steps towards your goals. What are those steps that will get you to where you want to be? I'm telling you this is so important. Even if they're super small ones because action amplifies attraction. Write that down. Action amplifies attraction. Wishful thinking isn't about the law of attraction. It's not about sitting on the couch hoping things fall into your lap. It's not about wishing you win the lottery. It's about aligning your thoughts, emotions and actions with your goals. Relax. Take a breath. What matters most is your dominant, emotional and mental state over time. It takes time. Time is our friend. Be kind to yourself and focus on getting back on track when negative thoughts arise or you feel like you are veering off the path. Play this episode over and over to get inspired.
