Brainstorm Productions presents The Mario Bros. Show! Starring Mario and Luigi. Today's episode, Mario Cement Factory. With guest stars Yoshi and Toad. This bonus episode is made possible by our Super Club members. All characters owned by Nintendo. All voices by Paul Robinson and Teddy Armstrong. Today's episode is a throwback. A throwback in time, that is. You see, this event took place back before Mario and Luigi had settled on plumbing as their main occupation. In fact, if you recall, Luigi actually referenced it in the episode Hotel Mario. I could start a hotel! Mario, please, don't you remember what happened when you tried to start a cement factory? Oh, that was a long time ago. Get this, kids. We both got stuck in the cement, and then the factory just kept chugging along, and before long, the entire building was trapped in cement. Oh, dear. I remember. It took a lot of dynamite to blow us out of there. So now, let's go back many years. Mario and Luigi have been living in the Mushroom Kingdom for just a few months. And even though they were plumbers back in Brooklyn, they aren't sure if they should keep doing that in their new home. They talk about different occupations, but eventually they settle on starting a cement factory. The factory is built, and all the preparations are made. Finally, the day comes when they start operations. Okay, listen up, my fearless workers. We're listening. Um, Toad? Um, sorry, did you say something? Oh, brother. Mario, are you sure we should be using this guy? We barely know him. Hey! I'll have you know that I'm a hard worker! Why, the princess is even thinking of hiring me for work at the castle! Ha! That'll never happen. At least we can count on Yoshi! Yuh-hoo! And don't forget about our cement truck driver, Joe. He's parked right out there. Oh, oh yes, I see him! Hi, Joe! Now listen up! The factory has two sides with two separate lifts running in the middle. Yoshi and Toad, you guys will stay at the bottom to make sure the cement gets into its squares. And then it'll ride the conveyor belt out to the truck. Roger! He's Mario. Luigi, you can help load the truck outside. No problem. But what about you? I'll be doing the hard part. Moving between the three floors and pulling the levers so the cement can descend through each rick, sir. That sounds difficult Just call for me if you need help Thanks I do that So I just stand at the conveyor belt And then the cement will drop down Make sure it gets into the square I prefer circles. Oh, brother. You think you can do it, Yoshi? Great! Now then, let's get to work. So everyone gets into their positions. Is everyone ready? Toad? I'm ready! Yoshi? Yoshi? Luigi? I'm out at the front waiting. Ready. Okay, it looks like the cement is moving into the top mixers. Mario gracefully moves between floors using the lips. It looks like this one is ready. He pulls the lever and the cement is sent down into the next mixer. Get ready down there! I'm ready! Here it comes! Ah, there it is! Right into the square. Looks good. Toad, don't pass the cement! Oops! Now it's got your handprint in it! Quick, smooth it out! Ah, alright! Uh, I'm ready! Now it's got your handprint in it! Quick, smooth it out! Um, alright! Uh, smoothing out! No! Don't move the way to us right! Oh my goodness! The mixers are full! Mario quickly mushes to the top floor, but he misses one of the lifts. Oh, oh no! AHHHHH! Mamma mia! Mario, are you okay? I-I just missed the lift, that's all. Wow! Right, Yoshi, I have to get back up there! Wow, it's crazy in there! Is this your first factory job? Yes, it is. We don't know what we're doing. If things get sticky, I'm out of here. Oh, so good to know we can count on you, Joe. Look, some cement squares are coming down the belt. Oh, good. That means everyone's doing their job. Now to pick up these guys. Yikes, these things are heavy. Well, you live in cement. Why couldn't we have started a cotton candy factory? back inside you guys are doing great oh my hands are turning to cement blocks just hang in there toad yes keep it up Yoshi how are things going guys terrible I can't make peace without bruising myself oh well I'm not gonna itch it for you come on yikes no she is eating the cement I don't think that's gonna sit very well in your stomach. Don't eat anymore! I know you have an iron stomach, but Mario, that mixer's overloaded. Oh no! Yoshi! He was buried under the cement. Uh, hey Mario, could you get to my face? We have more pressing matters, Toad! Mario, I'll get him out. You keep working those mixers, right? So Luigi is able to pull Yoshi out of the cement, and Mario pulls more levers, making more cement full. Oh goody, the square is full. There you go. Here it comes, Yoshi. Make sure it builds up the square We have to Good job Yikes I better get back outside and load these things onto the truck So Luigi rushes outside Where have you been We had some problems inside, but nothing that ol' Luigi gonna tangle! Whatever, bro. I'm gonna be so sore tomorrow. Back inside, there are more problems. The lifts suddenly stop working. Oh no! How am I gonna get between floors? I'll have to jump, I guess. Okay, to the top floor! Made it! Woo! Pull the lever. Good. Now we can get to the other side. Long jump! Whoa! That was close! Pull the lever. Up to the wheel. We really need more workers. Oh! It's coming much faster now! How are you doing over there, Yoshi? Yahoo! Hopefully that means something good. Hey! The cement is coming faster! I can't keep up! Mario tries to hurry and get to all the mixers, But with the lift not working, he gets behind. No! I can't go on! Ah, Yoshi's eating the cement again! What? Yoshi, stop! And that's when it happens. Ah! The cement is getting out! Oh no, I'm stuck! Luigi! I'm coming! Not me, what happened? Some of the mixers overloaded! Don't let the others... Don't break! I hate watching! There's too much coming down! Help! Mario, I'm stuck! Me too! Meanwhile, outside... Hey, what's going on in there? Uh-oh, I'm starting to see through the walls. I'm on the camera! We have to shut off the cement flow! I'm stuck! Can you... Not a chance! It's already up to my knees! Well, I'm lucky you can't turn the list of my problems now! Oh no, Yoshi's stuck too! And so! Help! I'm too young to try! Is this the end? The factory quickly fills up with cement, and the four workers are trapped in the goofy liquid that will soon seal their grisly fate. But wait, our story's not over yet. Unbeknownst to our heroes, there are two strange characters who are just outside the factory. This is it, brother. Our loser brother's new factory. Yeah, and it made cement. Cement? What good is that? You can't eat it. Exactly! That's why we brought all this dynamite. Oh, I get it now. We're gonna blow up the factory. Of course we're gonna blow it up. That's your new hobby, huh? It is. Until I find my own island, I hate being homeless. But brother, you're not homeless. You've been finding plenty of nice houses. And then kicking out the owners Yes but I don want to live in a house A factory No Okay No you brethren beanpole I want to live in a castle Oh, that would be fun. Okay, that's enough talking. Explode this joint. Brother, is cement supposed to be coming through the walls? I don't know, I'm no expert on cement factories. Light your dynamite and put them on the ground right here. I'll light mine and throw them into the top of the roof. Okie dokie. So the two devious brothers like the dynamite, not realizing what they're doing. Go! Take this, brother! Mario! We're alive! Yes? What happened? Are you okay, Yoshi? Now! Cold? I'm over here. That was too close. Hey, what's going on here? Great Koopas? It's Wario and Waluigi. Ha ha, we blew up your factory. Hey, Doofus, I mean, uh, Waluigi, we really have to thank you. Thank me? You still don't get it? Look around. Oh dear, is this a test? We were trapped in the cement. It was over. We were goners. Until you two bozos saved us. What? Say it isn't so. Why, Luigi, this is your fault. My fault? This whole thing was your idea. Yes, but you're going to talk me out of it. Oh, brother. Well, dear brothers, I really want to say thanks. Save it. We despise those words. Yeah. Come on, Twiglegs. Let's go find someone and steal the house. Okay. I can't believe that just happened. No offense, guys, but I'm never working for you again. Sorry, Toad. I'm going straight to the castle to see if I can get a job. Good luck. Bye. Yoshi, thank you so much for your help. I'm so glad you're okay. Yoshi. Well, Mario, we tried it. But I think we better stick with plumbing. I guess we're not cut out for anything else. You never know. But plumbing is much safer. Yeah, except for flooding. Oh, that's true. I guess we can't escape danger. And that's the story of Mario's cement factory. It didn't last long. And since their delivery driver took off, they never actually sold any cement. But soon the Mario Bros started up their plumbing business, and as they said, the rest is history. you
