Traps and shrimp are subject to availability and there are no refunds for unmet pirate expectations! Awesome! We have to go Arthur! But how, Buster? We've gone every summer since you were little! It's a tradition! The cabins! The saltwater taffy! Yes! Taffy! But aren't you always saying we should try new things? Ah, the first barbecue of the year! Yep, feels like summer! Summer is almost here! Which is why I like to talk again about Dead man's Coal! But I'm not here to talk about the fun rides! Or the talking parrot! Or that we get to sleep in hammocks! I want to talk about what Dead man's Coal has for you! Dad, the luncheonette has an alligator burger with a signature sauce! You can't get it anywhere else in the world! And mom, I know you love swimming in the bay! But the grotto swimming pool has adult swim for five minutes every hour! Really? Yes! With gold coins hidden at the bottom! And DW, for you and Sharky, there are real sharks! Walk the plank over the tanks and go nose to nose! With a shark! Definitely no! It's perfectly safe! There's glass! Sharky is not going near that! He knows one shark tooth could pop in forever! Fine, but let's at least take another vote! Okay, all in favor of going to Dead man's Coal, say aye! Aye! Well, podcast listeners, I've been trying all week, but I haven't convinced my family about Dead man's Coal. I think DW is the hardest and trickiest one, because, well, she's DW. So I've decided to bargain with her. Hey DW, I've got something for you! You're giving me your dolphin squeaky? Wait, why are you giving this to me? Well, you usually get free toys at the cod pocket diner, but if we go to Dead man's Coal... No Arthur, it's cod pocket or nothing. What if there was a special place for you close to Dead man's Coal? Like Unicornia! It's nearby, and then we could go to both! Wait, we can go to more than one place on vacation? Yes! Mom and Dad said we're going on vacation for six days, so we can spend one of those days somewhere else. And Unicornia is close. Yep. Okay, deal. Yes! Let's go tell Mom and Dad! You two coming to give us a hand? This minivan isn't going to wash itself. DW and I made a compromise. Well done! Yes! We'll go to Arthur's boring pirate place for one day. Wait, that wasn't though. And then we go to Unicornia for five days. They have ponies that might be Unicorns! No! There's a butterfly garden and a cotton candy palace. I read about that place. Their chef uses dandelion greens. It has sunrise trail rides too, and it's less expensive than Dead man's Coal. Five days of horses! Of prancing maybe Unicorns. This is unfair! I think it's fair. Fair would be three days at my place and three days at yours. Okay, let's vote on that. All in favor of splitting our time between Dead man's Coal and Unicornia. Hi! Three eyes! We're doing it! Well, I guess three days is better than none. Hey! I'm going to Dead man's Coal! Great! You're not being so mean! Hi, ladies! Podcast people! I'm on my way to tell Buster my good news! The owners stole all the money and left the country. Turns out they were real life pirates. But I just talked everybody into it. Oh no, Buster! Does this mean I have to spend all six days at Unicornia? No! Podcast listeners, we're in the car on our way to... Cut! Pocket Beach! Woohoo! After Dead man's Coal fell through, caught pocket was an option again. Note that Unicornia ponies do not have real magic. So I'd rather go to the beach. Thanks for bringing me along too. Sure, Buster. We knew you were disappointed about the pirate place closing. And you're going to love cod pocket. Cod pocket! Buster, keep your expectations low. It's no Dead man's Coal. We're here! Look how clear the weather is! What is it? Oh, the water's cold! Oh, the water feels great! Swim! Shurkey Swim! See, W over the beach, sweetie? I found a Perry Winkle shell. Woo! Pretty shell! Jump the leaves with your refreshing hay hunt. Yay! Look everyone, dolphins! Wow! Just look at that! Wow, we've never seen that! Way better than your dolphins, squeaky are they? Woo! Big wave! Hello, not in party, W. This place is so cool, Arthur. I guess so. I bet our listeners have special places they like too. Let's check my inbox and see where they go. A special place I like to visit is the beach. And sometimes I fall over into the water because there are lots and lots of waves. I like to go to my puppy and GZ stuff because I love them very much. A special place I like to visit is the amusement park because there's so many fun rides. I like to go with my family. I love going to the petting farm because there's baby chicks and baby cats there. Nice! Sometimes it does feel good to come back to the same place. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm pretty hungry. Who's up for fried clams? And taffy! Let's get to the cabin and change into some dry clothes. Can we explore? Yeah, but this is pretty much it. The beach, these cabins, and that fire pit. What's this? The equipment shed? That's where they have the life jackets and stuff. My mom found a dead mouse in there last year. There's a ping pong table. Yeah, I've never found the paddles though. There's a lot of stuff in here. Just hope there isn't another dead mouse. Hey, I dare you to wear these goggles. Then you have to wear the floaties. Let's put on the scuba flippers. On our hands! Hey, look! I found a tennis ball! That's a bad rope! Argg! That bounced off my goggles, you swash buckling fined. You scuba-wary, skinnywag! Ahoy, me hearty! The sea looks rough tonight! Rough! Rough! Rough atin down the hatches! Find me, parrot! Find me a dead mouse! Arthur! Buster! Mom says that you need to grab your bag to the car. Okay, we will. I can't play this anyway. Argg! You see, lassie. This is dead mouse! Cove!
