Summary

Casey, a Southern Utah camper and lifelong outdoorsman, shares multiple Sasquatch encounters spanning from 2020 to 2025 near Cedar City, including sightings of glowing eyes, wood structures, footprints, and vocalizations. He discusses his evolving perspective on Bigfoot as potentially an undiscovered hominid species and explores theories about interdimensional beings and extraterrestrial involvement.

Insights
  • Consistent pattern recognition: Multiple encounters across different locations and years suggest either genuine phenomena or confirmation bias in interpretation of natural events
  • Community validation matters: Connection with Southern Utah Bigfoot Association and other researchers provides social reinforcement for experiences and interpretive framework
  • Evidence documentation challenges: Digital photo loss and lack of physical evidence collection tools (tape measures, detailed documentation) limits verifiability of encounters
  • Family involvement adds credibility layer: Children's independent observations (silhouettes, growls) corroborate adult accounts but remain anecdotal without objective verification
  • Belief system flexibility: Witness maintains openness to multiple explanations (undiscovered species, extraterrestrial origin, interdimensional beings) rather than committing to single theory

He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. He's been working with us for a long time. Casey is an individual that is out there from the Southern Utah area. He is a lifelong hiker and camper, and we got connected through a Facebook post. And he'll be sharing some things about, I believe, Southern Utah, Arizona, all sorts of interesting stuff. So welcome to the show, Casey. How are you doing today, man? I'm not as sure if I'm doing... Awesome, yeah. Myself as well. But anything else that the listeners would want to know about you before we get going, Casey? Just an outdoorsy kind of guy, blue collar, nothing special. Awesome. Very good. Well, yeah, man, feel free to take us back to... Let's just go kind of chronological here. When was the first time that you realized that you had something weird going on in one of your experiences? For sure. So, Vickford wasn't even... I saw it in my head until about 2019. I saw the documentary about the Patty Gimley films, the one where they used the athlete to recreate it and see if they could... And I just really started contemplating the concept and I have a buddy who's in... Who was in Southern Utah at the time. I was living in Nevada. I wasn't living in Utah yet. But it was August of 2020. My buddy was like, hey, you want to go camping? I was like, yeah, for sure. And I had a... I was married a couple of kids at the time and he was married and a couple of kids. And we went up to the spot a little north of Cedar and we drove from Nevada. So we had a very long drive. And so we didn't get there until close to dark. And he was like, hey, let's get a fire going. I was like, all right. So we went out into the tree line to see if we could find some wood. And I brought a saw doll. I thought I was cool and he brought an axe. And there was a big downstream and we started like trying to cut off branches and things like that. And so he's taken his axe to it. And now that I think about it, essentially wood knocks. It didn't click until we were driving home. So we ended up finding some wood that had been cut prior on the other side of the log. And whoever put that there, I apologize if you would. We ended up not being able to use it because I guess it was a fire ban and whatnot. So we get the wood, we end up having to put out the fire or whatever. And I'm setting up my tent. And I had a 10-man tent for some reason. It was brand new. I was just breaking it in. I had a headlamp on so I could see because like I said, we didn't get there till after dark. I kept getting weird feelings. So I would look up and I would look to my right and there was the tree line. There was like a bigger clearing, but we were in like this small clearing kind of like just off the other clearing. But then the wood line was literally just... I once was about 60 feet away from our campsite. And I'm setting up the tent and I got this weird feeling to look right. And I looked right and I saw two sets of eyes, one higher than the other. And then I looked over and a few feet away from those two, I saw another one. I was telling myself at the time that maybe it's owls. There's gotta be a bird, right? They gotta be birds or something. But now that I think about it, at the distance they were and how hard the eyes were separate, the distance between the eyes, I just don't see it being a bird. And a lot of birds, they're kind of all set to the side a little bit. I don't have a hard time convincing myself of that. And so we made dinner and we're all in bed. And so the back of my tent was facing the tree line. The front was facing my... So my buddy was sleeping in the bed of his truck and his daughters had a little small tent right in front of the truck. So the front of my tent was facing his truck, but the back was facing the tree line. Now my son, he didn't say anything until we were heading home. But I'm a very light sleeper, especially out in the woods, because it's just a new environment and things like that. So very light... I'm a light sleeper at home too, but... I'm laying in there and I'm facing my buddy's truck. I'm facing the front of my tent. And my son was facing the back. And I just hear walking. Now the fact that I'm not only a light sleeper, but it's like I would have heard him get up. He was literally no more than like 5, 6 feet away from my tent. I would have heard him get out of the bed of his truck and walk over to go to the bathroom. I didn't hear him get up. But I hear walking. And as I get... And a little ahead of myself, I apologize. So the next morning, his kids were like, hey, let's go walk up the mountain. And I... A little bit of a helicopter parent. My kids were still fairly young in the single digits. And I was like, well, I'm gonna go with the kids. And so I walked with them and... We ended up seeing... Well, I ended up seeing this structure, kind of just like it that. There was a branch, like a tree, with a branch sticking out like this. And there were two branches sticking in between it like that. So that's pretty interesting. And I'm looking around and ended up seeing a footprint. I did take pictures of them, but like I said, I'm doing this on my phone, so I unfortunately can't like pop them up. And I was like, that's pretty interesting. We ended up leaving later that day. And I told my wife, I was like, hey, did you hear anything last night? And she didn't. She's a heavy sleeper. But my son was like, I saw a silhouette walk past the back. He didn't say silhouette. It was two little things. He said he saw a shadow or something walk past the back of the tent. So I was like, that's pretty interesting. That's like my first real like... Like thing counter. And then there was another time I was camping with that same buddy in the Pine Valley Reservoir. And it was April of 2021. We were just sitting around the campfire. And I didn't know where just a bunch of deer just kind of ran off the side of the mountain into the silver clearing that we were camped at. And we were like, wow, that's crazy. And I got video of them coming down. I was like, wow, that's awesome. But the next morning we decided, let's go for a little hike. So you hike to the end of the campground, there's a trail ahead. And we kind of did more of a loop. We didn't do like the whole trail. But we were coming back and ended up getting a picture of a real good print. And again, just everything starting solidifying this for me that, okay, this is the thing. And then back in November of 2021, me and my family decided to go camping in that spot that my buddy had taken us to North Deceder. It was like in November, so it was like 18 degrees outside. And I had a little heater and I'm like, man, this thing's not really keeping up. And we heard a tree break. But again, at the time I was like, maybe it was just because it's so cold the ice, it froze in a broker brand. So I'm not committing that to anything, but that was like, because me and my wife, by that time, we'd had multiple conversations. She's watched me watch documentaries at the top of it. So her and I were looking at each other like, all right, I was like, well, you know what, since the heater's not working, let's go sleep in the truck. So we all ended up going to sleep in the truck. So the next morning I'm like, hey, let's go walk around. We like to... We're pretty outdoorsy, so we just walked around the inside the wood line, but at one spot, and again, I do have pictures of all this stuff, there was a campsite that had been tore up. The tent was down, there was a bunch of trash everywhere, like a foam cooler was just thrown about. And there was a... It's funny because when we were walking to it, we found the tent poles, but it was snapped, but this was like almost 100 yards from where the tent was. And because we picked up, that's crazy, because the tent was like... It wasn't just up in the clearing, it was like up and around, and then it was up against the tree line. So you had to come around to see it. We didn't see it before. That's why the tent poles and anomaly dust. I'm like, wow, that's crazy. So I took pictures of it, and then we get just a little further into the tree line, not very far, like a stone store away. And there was this massive structure. And I was like, oh dude, this is phenomenal, right? So I started going in and taking pictures of it and stuff like that. And one of the craziest things about the Sharpshooter that made me think is it wasn't man-made, was the initial log that it was posted up to was just massive, but it was being held down by another log, just by like that much. It was just sitting in it, just barely. So it was pretty intense. It was a very big structure. And then there was another log. It looked like it had been cut, but for some reason it was 8 to 10 feet up in a tree, just this log that had been cut about 8 inches in diameter, just in a tree. So I took a picture of that, and then we started walking along the ridge, or whatever, and we just kept finding structures. One of them had just a small tree just right through it, and it was a structure built around it. It was just phenomenal. And then there was one other time north of Cedar, we were just looking for campsites basically, because we don't like to pay for camping, so we tried to file a BLM and stuff like that camp on. We were just... We had parked on the side of the road, but we walked out one way, and we kind of did like a loop and came back down. And on our way down, I found another structure. And I obviously had the pictures of it, but the top was broke and twisted down, and then there was a bunch of branches on top of it. That's how it was able to be formed. And I took pictures of my kids, and I got a picture of me next to it. I'm about 5'6", 5'7", and it was... Again, it was snapped at about 10 feet maybe, and it was fairly thick. So a buddy of mine, he runs Southern Utah Bigfoot Association. He's a lot like Joel Thomas, someone you interviewed a while back. He's also a traveling musician, but he also studies Bigfoot. There's some extra tour of fuel stuff as well as the low 10 too. That's kind of how I got into wanting to share my encounters through him. I started talking to him and I started opening up about it. But he had a show out in Cedar, and I was like, hey, there was a structure out here, do you want to go check it out? And he's like, yeah. So we went up and we ended up finding like three or four more structures that weren't there when me and my family went. But this was like three or four years prior that we found the one. So we went up and we found... It was like, yeah, about three or four other structures that weren't there before. Plus there was a tree that was in between two trees just sitting there, and there's no root base. It didn't snap and fall in between there because there was no root base there. There was this other spot just north of Pine Valley, kind of south of Cedar City. There was a spot that had another buddy of mine and I had found kind of on accident. We were looking for a trailhead. We were trying to find a trail to hike. We ended up trying to hike it and we only got like halfway, rain, it's under storm so I'm coming through so we turned around. So we found this really neat campsite and we... Him and I camped there a couple of times, nothing crazy. But... Sorry. So how this spot works is there's three campsites and it's like an un-station campground. There's no fees, nothing like that, but there's... Each site has a bench and they have like fire pits, but that's it. There's no bathrooms, there's no scenes or nothing like that. But a stone store away, there's a creek. And... So we really like this spot because there's access to water, it's pretty quiet, pretty clean. And the first time we brought our families there, we noticed a... So there was this structure, like... So like the best camping spot is like the biggest one there and it's like the closest to the water. But you gotta go over a little hill and then you just walk out a couple of hundred feet or so and then there's the creek. But right over the hill, there was this structure and it was just like... And outside down to you almost, it was just like this. And it's been there as many times. We camp there a few times because it's such a nice spot and it's one of our favorite spots, but it is a little hard to get to. You definitely need like four wheel drive, at least some good clearance and some good tires. So every time we go out there, it's like... I mean, we heard footprints one time, nothing crazy, but there's another spot that's kind of off of this spot. It's just before you get to that campsite, but this one doesn't have a table, doesn't have an actual fire pit. It's just a little spot right off the road that you can camp at. And it's actually closer to the creek than the other one. So I bought another buddy of mine from high school, the buddy that I can't hear with prior, he brings his family every month. And so we ended up camping at this spot. The one off because there was some people camp in those spots because it took a good spot. So we ended up having to camp in the spot that's just off of the good one. And we're sitting around the fire and I was facing like the kind of the way you come in. And there's a barbed wire fence, they have free range out there and this is gonna be pertinent to another counter I've had out there. So there's like a barbed wire fence, you know. And I'm sitting facing this fence and I see a deer go by and I was like, oh dude, a deer, because I had my head length on. And all of a sudden, I see Coyote, he was like, oh dude, a Coyote. And my buddy was kind of sitting out there watching with me. And he's kind of like Yosemite Sam. And he's got a decent AR with a nice flashlight on it. So anytime he gets a chance to pop it out, he does. So he pulls out his AR. Now he brought his camper, I bought a tent. I'm not into glamping, I like to throw a tent down. The fanciest thing I do is like sleeping pads because the rocks are no fun. So he pulls out his air and he's like trying to see if you can see anything and then he sees his eyes. And I couldn't see him because I have a stinging business. So I got my glasses and the headlamp I had at the time was one of those ones where you could move it and have like the bar but have like the beam on the side. So any like, I would put my glasses on and I would turn my headlamp on but I would get a glare. So I couldn't see anything. I would take my glasses off and I couldn't see anything. And he's been in like security for a very long time. He's very disciplined in that aspect. And he's like, dude, I'm gonna shoot this thing. Dude, if it keeps, like, so what he said it was doing is, he could see the eyes, but it was doing this. And it was coming closer. It was walking towards us very slowly, but it was doing this. And he's like, dude, I watched him switch it from safe to fire. I was carrying, but I had a sidearm. And I just unsnapped, I didn't draw. I just had it unsnapped. And I'm just like, dude, tell me, like, I'm like, be careful, it could be a cow. Because again, they have free range out there. And he was like, all right, that's it, dude, we're going to bed. He put his kids up in the camp and I was like, all right, guys, let's get in the tent. Let's go to bed next morning. We walk over to about that area. We're trying to guess to see if we saw anything or see if we could see the height of this thing. And where he said it was, because I could see the bar bar fence. But they can actually kind of see the camp, but there's still some shrubbering kind of, I'm not sure I can my view. So it was at least a foot or two taller than me. So like a cow would come up to about my chest. So we're like, yeah, dude, that's crazy. So again, call it a creepy spot. So our last encounter out there, oh my gosh. So we had, it was March of 2025. And so in this spot, shortly after we got there, I noticed there was massive tree just knocked over. And it's like, it wasn't like in the road, but it was like real close to it. And I was like, dude, that's crazy. That tree wasn't knocked down last when we came here. Cause the last time we tried to camp there, there was a bunch of people there. And my buddy actually hit the awning of his camper on that tree. So that, and the tree didn't follow. So this tree is all of a sudden knocked over. And we're like, oh, that's pretty crazy, dude. Maybe someone hit it on like one of those, their UAVs or ATVs or whatever. Like maybe somebody hit it because it was just snapped. I didn't see any like damage on it. I wasn't really looking that close. So I was like, man, that's crazy. So we kind of started setting up camp. We hadn't like set up the tent yet. We're gonna do that closer at a bedtime. And I go over the hill to go to the creek so we can get some water so we can like wash dishes and things like that. We don't drink that water. We'll just wash our hands with it. I mean, we do have filters, so if we needed to. But we'll, I was like, hey, let's go get some water. And I have like a five gallon bucket with a little spout on it that I can use to flip up. So we can wash hands or wash the dishes. And so we go over the hill and that structure that has been there for at least two or three years, the left side of it is collapsed. And somebody had been cutting a tree back there. We don't believe in that. There's plenty of dead fall out there to get and keep a fire going. You don't need to cut down any like live trees. You don't need to do that. I don't see the point in it. I don't bring my saws out with me anymore. I don't bring an ass. I bring a little hatchet just in case they like clean stuff up, whatever. And there was a tree cut down. I was like, dude, that's crazy. It's like, it infuriated me by my whatever. So we go get our water and like, so at this creek, something that I have learned in camping there is you don't go on the other side of the creek because that's usually when something happens. And I told my kids that, hey, stay on this side of the creek. Do not go on that side. Because the other side of the creek, I've been over there and it's like the vibe is different. It feels very heavy, very dark, and it's pretty overgrown. So I'm like, yeah, we're not going over there. Now there's plenty of dead fall. Back there. But there's plenty of overgrown, I'm sorry, not dead fall, overgrowth. We don't go over there. It's not much, just nothing to do that. And we're at the creek getting water, but they have crawdads that are just massive. Like little lobster sides, it's crazy. So we're trying to play with the crawdads trying to catch them and stuff like that. And on the corner of my eye, I see my oldest jump over the creek. And I looked over and I said, did you just go on the other side of the creek? She goes, well, it's just real quick. I'm like, I don't care. I told you not to go on the other side of the creek. So they put, I was like, no, we're done. So we all hauled it back to camp. So we get back to camp. And so I had, me and my buddy were, so at the nice spot, like at the creepy spot, it's like you can come in on one side and go out on the other. So we both pulled in, me and my buddy were parked right next to each other on the side going out. And no, no, no, no, no. He was actually back in on the other way. Normally he parked next to me on the other side, but he was actually on the other side. So I got a roof rack and I got like a bag, one of those little travel bags. And we put like our tent, our sleeping bags, our sleeping bags. It's just stuff like that in there, like the chairs and stuff like that. We put all that in there. So my wife is setting up the tent. Well, we got the tent set up, but she's setting up the bags. So me and the kids are getting up on the car with pulling stuff down and I'm handing it to my wife or I'm handing it to my kids, my kids are handing it to my wife. And my oldest, who was the one that went on the other side of the creek, I was on the back end of the car. So like I was stepping on the rear passenger door to get up or going, stepping on the back bumper and reaching in to pull stuff out. So my daughter was on the passenger side, pulling stuff out. I was on the back end. She comes around. Now my buddy, who was with me, he has a daughter that's about her age and she's a little troublemaker. She's, you know what I mean? She likes to fib and stuff like that. And they used to be friends. So I'm like, so that'll come to play here in sight. So my daughter comes around almost crying. She's like, dad, something growled at me. I'm like, stop. You're just, I'm like, stop. No, we're not doing this. Stop, all right? So no one's gonna make, no, just take that to your mom. All right? Like, I wouldn't have it. So then I go on the passenger side and I'm reaching up to grab something and then I hear it. And I was like, ooh. So I take it, I hand it to my wife and I tell my wife, I'm like, hey, I just heard something. Now we've heard, we've had some growl at us while we've hiked before. So like, we're not new to it. Me and my oldest also, we've had, we had like a pine cone thrown at us. I would say, oh, it came out of the tree, but it didn't like just bounce and fall. It went, doot, doot, doot. So we've had stuff happen. My wife has experienced it before. So she's, when I told her, hey, look, dude, something just growled and she's like, what? She's like, what do you wanna do? And I'm like, I don't know, let's just see. So a little earlier that night, there was a white F-350, F-250 maybe, early 2000s model in a spot that was to the left of the good spot. And so we'd heard the growl a couple of times. And like I told my buddy, I'm like, agent, do you hear this? And him and his son came over and they're listening. And his son said he heard it, but him and his daughter, like, oh no, no, I don't hear anything. I don't hear anything. And so I was like, let me see if that truck's still here. So I walk around and go see if the truck was there. And now this is in a completely different spot. Because the spot goes around. And I was right on the other side of the loop and I heard it to the left. I'm like, oh crap. So because of the whole telepathy thing or whatnot, I'm like, okay, well maybe if I just talk to it, in my heart and in my mind, like, hey, look, when I heard it caused any problems, we don't mean any harm or anything like that. I think something, somebody was there was pissing it off because there was like some spent shell casings and some beer bottles and stuff like that. So I think something had pissed it off. I was like, look, we're not here to cause any problems. We're just trying to get out there. Families, please. You know? So that truck was going. So I'm like, okay, so it's not them. It's not, I don't know the case. Because once you come into this camp spot, campsite, you can't, there's not another road. It's just the one in, one out. So they're not like parked somewhere else. You know, messing with us. So I walked the whole thing, came back, and we're like, what are we gonna do? And so we stopped setting up. I told my wife to look and start putting stuff away. I think we're gonna, we're gonna do it. So my buddy's like, well, let's go see what we can find out. So in the nice camp spot, there's, you walk down and there's little clearings just throughout, just little clearings, nothing too crazy. Like my kids were out there and play soccer or something like that. Like, you know, it's just a nice little clearing. So where the ground was coming from was to the right of my car. And there's like a bunch of trees and stuff like that, like bushes, like, and then there's like a little walkway to the clearing. It's not like wide open. There's a little walkway you gotta walk down and then you get to clearing. So that's where we were here in the ground from. So I'm shining my light. I don't see anything. I think Joe Thomas and Seth are similar. Like, you know, there's like, you shine a light and you don't see anything. So I'm like, I can't see anything. And then my buddy, again, Christ is a heart and we walk into this clearing to see if we can find something, like see if we can see anything. So him and I walk into this clearing and he's shining his light up on the, so after the clearing, the hill goes up, you know, and he's shining, we're shining light stuff there. We're looking where we heard it. We can't see anything. Now, some people say, oh, mountain lion or bobcat. The only thing was we saw a little rabbit hopping its way towards the campsite, towards the spot where the girl came from originally. So I don't know about that, but we're shining it up and you can hear something walking and you hear rocks kind of falling. And then you hear tree breaks and once you shine in his light, we can't see anything. So I'm like, look, dude, I don't know, bro, like you wanna stay at school, but me and my family were dipping. So we ended up packing up and camping in another spot. So about a month later, it was on like Mother's Day of 2025, because I asked my wife, what do you wanna do for another day? And she's like, I'm gonna go day camp. Well, she wanted to camp, but we can't think there's a lot of work, especially with kids. You gotta like free plan everything for like a week or two in advance. So I'm like, all right, you know, let's just, let's just do a day camp at that spot. Cause I really wanted to go back and see if we could find anything. So we go back there, we couldn't get the good spot cause there was somebody already there. So we were to spot right next to it. And, you know, we kind of start grilling, whatever, we start making s'mores, whatever, we're doing our thing. We start walking around the creek and whatnot. And I found some footprints, took some pictures. I'm like, cause I just, I don't know, you know? They weren't like, cause one of the best prints that I'd ever seen that I took the picture of, it was about the same size as mine, but it was like twice as wide. So a lot of these footprints, they may be a little bit longer than mine, but they didn't look much wider. So I didn't know what to make of it, but then my son finds a nail. And so I actually have it with me. So I look at it now, I'm a handyman by trade. So I work with hand tools, power tools on a fairly regular basis. So my son, he has this thing and I'm looking at it, I'm analyzing it and I don't see like teeth marks from my channel ops or any type of tool. And I'm like, it's pretty interesting. So I kept it. When you manage procurement for multiple facilities, every order matters. But when it's for a hospital system, they matter even more. Granger gets it and knows there's no time for managing multiple suppliers and no room for shipping delays. That's why Granger offers millions of products in fast dependable delivery. So you can keep your facility stocked safe and running smoothly. Call 1-800-GRANGER, click Granger.com or just stop by. Granger, for the ones who get it done. So this is that nail. It's not like a regular nail. This is pretty massive, you know? So we find that nail and I'm just like, wow, that's pretty cool. We haven't been back to that spot since. But it's, yeah, it's definitely solidified the topic for me, you know, for sure. Man, yeah, you have been experiencing some really interesting things. That nail, is that some, I mean, that looked like it is a pretty tough nail in order to bend it like that. What are you thinking? I agree, cause like, it's, I mean, it's pretty thick, you know what I mean? And like I said, I don't see any like tool marks or teeth marks or anything. I mean, there's some buildup up here like from rust and it's rust, there's rust on it. So it's obviously been sitting out there for a bit, you know? So, yeah, I, a little perplexed, but it's, I don't know. I think I know what it is, but I, you know, it's a piece of the run, I guess. Right. You mentioned finding footprints a few times in this area. How long or what were dimensions on those? I didn't have its hate measure with me. A lot of them, like when I take pictures of footprints, I'll usually just put mine right next to it. Cause I like when I'm hiking or something, I don't keep a tape measure on me, but like I'm a size eight to nine, depending on the size of the boot. Some of them are, you know, a few sizes bigger than mine, but the print I found in Pine Valley is probably the best cause you can see like the toes, like where they curl. So there's like a little clump of mud where it was grabbing. And you could see, so the, what's it called? The mid-tarsal break, you can kind of see that and see the heel. And it, but it was twice as wide as my foot, barefoot. It was twice as wide as mine. And there was also like a little branch there that I'd seen. It was like, it looked like it was twisted, like the way it was broken off. And it's funny is cause like, I copied a bunch of stuff from like my face. So I have a private album on Facebook where I save all this stuff. And like to picture the, the tree that was down in the creepy spot, the big one, I took a picture of that, couldn't find it. I also took a picture of the structure after it had been torn up. Couldn't find that one. So it's, pictures are hit and miss, but I said a lot of them up, let's find it in an album for this interview. But like I said, I ended up having just my phone. So, but it's like, yeah, I don't know. I don't take tape measure with me, but it's the other, I'm a small guy. So there's very, anything better than mine, I guess. Oh, I apologize. Sorry, I got a little backtracked. So, but next to that branch, it looked like there was another footprint, but I don't know. Okay. Um, the, the creepy spot is titled that because, um, it's a thing where, uh, if you got a good campsite, sometimes you don't want to overrun and I totally get that too. But question for you, since you know where the spot is, have you ever looked that up in certain areas or certain places online to see if there's other, been other, um, uh, encounters that have happened in that same area? So I haven't looked it up for a say, but, um, uh, Tom Bennett, he runs the Southern Utah Bigfoot Association. He, I talked to him about it and I ended up going back on his YouTube channel and like actually finding these, but he had a couple of reports of, I don't remember if like one was a footprint and then I think one was, um, like, I think it was like a howl and then like, I guess some people being chased out of the area. I don't, I don't remember the exact details of it, but he had said that he got reports of stuff in that area because I told him generally about where it was. Interesting. Um, you'd mentioned, uh, telepathy really quickly. Is that something where you have had interactions with that earlier or how did you know about that at that time? Um, well, once I got into the, uh, the Bigfoot topic, I just threw myself into like documentaries and like just listening to encounters and stuff like, I prefer to listen to the encounters and stuff like that because a lot of pictures and videos, like they can be, you know, like, I'm very, you know, critical, especially with my own stuff, you know, I mean, there's, at all the footprints I have pictures of, there's only one that's, you know, I'm even 100% convinced is not human, but, um, a lot of it was documentaries and things like that. You know, you hear encounters or whatever. And it's, it's, it sounds like a thing because we're so distracted by technology and just noise around us and things like that, that it's easy to, you know, like cloud that spot of our mind to where anything like that would be possible. Like, I mean, anybody who's married should be able to see, you know, you look at your wife and you can read your mind, you know, it's, there's something in there, you know, but like, I feel like it's something that is, could absolutely be possible, especially if you're, you know, something that's, you know, not, you know, doesn't dwell on civilization and doesn't, you know, involve itself in such things. And, I mean, there's talk about extraterrestrials and, and, and big foot. And sure, that could, you know, when nothing is certain to anything is possible, I mean, it's, you got something that's a hominid or, or, or, or you got, you got something that is a species of something that is out in the wilderness that can't call the five o'clock news and be like, I got abducted, you know. So it's, it's possible that, you know, extraterrestrials, I'm sure maybe they're abducting them, doing research on them, maybe they're created via that way. I don't know, but I'm, I'm open to almost every aspect of it. So it's like, so again, going back to telepathy thing, it's like, sure, I could, I could see it. Gotcha. So this sounds like, is this a thing where you're also trying to, well, let me, let me say it like this. So I find talking to individuals that usually there's one of two camps where there's either an individual where they are just outdoors and they have had experiences, or there's individuals where they have had experiences and then they are trying to have more experiences. And so they're very much into it. What would you put yourself into either one of those camps? Um, because of like the day to day stuff, like I, I'm not out looking for it. Um, like I said, we, we like to hike, we like to camp and it's just stuff just like happens to us and it's not every single time, you know. Um, but it's, I'm, I definitely look forward to something happening. Um, but I'm not like, you know, you know, out looking for it. Like I said, I mean, if I go to a spot, I definitely look for stuff like, hey, is there a structure here? Is there a footprint? Whatever. Like, I'll look at that, but I'm not like, oh boy, I hope I haven't encountered, but if it does, it does. I mean, you can't like force these things on it because I've seen documentaries where people have said that, you know, oh, if you're out looking for it, like, they know we're there before, you know, we get there. Like they, they can hear our trucks. They can hear humans are just loud creatures. You know, we make a lot of noise, you know, we're, so they know we're there before we even get there. So it'll be like, oh, I'm going to go out to this campsite and I'm going to do this and do that. I mean, I'm not saying it doesn't work. You know, I mean, I've seen, you know, videos and documentaries where it does, but there's also times where, you know, like on the discovery channel where they're like, oh, you know, we're going to catch, you know, the Loch Ness and then they go out and they don't find anything. You know, it's sometimes you do, sometimes you don't. But, so I'm not out looking for it because it's, it's, they know we're there before we get there. I mean, if they want to make themselves known, let them. If not, it's okay. You know, because like all the other encounters I've usually had, it's just been like footsteps, you know, three breaks, little things like that. Nothing creepy, nothing malicious. But the last one is just like that made us uncomfortable. You know, and that was like, okay, that was our first like encounter that kind of put us into fear. And another funny thing about that is my buddy that was with me is shortly after that, he ended up admitting that he heard not only growls, but grunts. I didn't hear grunts. He said he did. So, but we're not out there looking for it because it's like, they know we're there, you know, it's, it's like, I'm not, I'm not going to, I mean, we're going on a hike. That's one thing, but I'm not going to hike out five, 10 miles to try and find something with my family and then come back to camp. And it's just, you know, set up for camp in general is a lot of work. So. No, absolutely. It is, uh, it's a lot of work. It's worth it, but yeah, I agree with you. It's a lot of work. Um, I'm looking at the map on this area and it looks like, well, I don't know exactly how far away it is, but this is in the same region as Zion National Park. Right. Kind of yeah. Yes. Zion is more. Yeah. Yeah. Zion is to the east a little bit more, but Zion is still like southern Utah. Um, yeah. Me and my family, we'd been out here for a few years and still hadn't really gone to Zion. It's, it's, it's too crowded for us. We like the, so that's why we don't like camp, you know, a lot of sanctioned campsites and, you know, hike trails at Zion cause it costs money. You know, I mean, times are tough and there's just so many beautiful places to see that are closer to home that you don't have to pay for it. But yeah, it's a little west of Zion. Um, I bring that up because I know that there's also, uh, big foot accounts or, or at least campfire stories from that area to, um, where it was called more a wild man of Zion, I believe, and that goes back almost a hundred years. So there's, you know, not just the area you've been bringing up, uh, which is, uh, west of 15, right? Um, more or less. Yeah. But, uh, east of, east of 15, if you want to say that highway is your divide or it sounds like there could be stuff going on, uh, over there, but who knows, it'd be interesting if people reach out, if they've heard stuff in, uh, in your Cedar area or, or, uh, the Zion National Park as well. Yeah, there's, there's, um, there's talk about, I guess there's, um, like a migratory thing. I don't know exactly what it's called, but there's like a, I want to, I think it's a Navajo reservation, but there's, it might be Paiute, but there's a reservation and there's talk of like, it's a big migratory path that comes down from like this, um, reservation area and they go down that I don't, possibly like Arizona, I don't know, but there's like a, you know, like they migrate down that way. So I don't know, it's in the area. So perhaps. Yeah. It's, it's really interesting. I mean, that whole area down there, I mean, you've got, I've taken stuff from around Grand Canyon and then just ton of stuff, even though it's the other side of Utah, but it's also in the south, you got the Navajo nation area, just so many, so many reports of big foot over there. Uh, so it's good to hear from the other side of Utah. I think you are the first individual I've talked to about southwest Utah, which is pretty cool. So good to have some representation, um, of, of this area for sure. Um, Casey, it has been a very interesting, uh, time, uh, chatting with you. Um, I want to make sure that you were able to share, uh, everything that you came on, uh, the show to share today. I think it is. Awesome. Um, so. And we can take this out, uh, just cause it. Okay. How many years ago did it happen again when your, your child had the sighting of something outside the 10th? That was August 20, 9th of 2020. So about six years ago. Six years ago. Okay. Gotcha. Um, have you talked to, and I bring this up just cause I have a very similar situation in, in my life where, uh, my kid, we were out a few years ago and he, he thought he saw something. Um, and, um, when you talk to him today about it, you get different, you get, uh, details, you know, as you have a conversation with someone as they get older, right? Cause they know how to say things differently. Um, have you had a conversation with, with your child, uh, in years after that, that incident about it? Um, not necessarily. I've sat him down and been like, Hey, so look, man, we got to talk about this, but, um, anytime it's popular, like the big footer and then comes up, he, he brings up, oh yeah, like that time that I saw the, the shadow, he still called it a shadow, but I'm like, it's still a wet, but, but he, he still brings it up and he gets like, Oh, like that one time, you know, so he does bring it up, but I haven't had some like details per se. I mean, and it's hard to tell the silhouette, you know what I mean? Cause it's, it's, the light was coming from the moon. It's like, we didn't have lanterns sitting outside behind my tent. We didn't have, like I said, we couldn't have a fire going. So it's not like, and the fire was like where my head was, you know, not like where I was facing, but where my head was. So it's like, it's not like the, the light came from my, um, like anything that we had because, you know, and again, the tree line was like 60 feet away from us. So it's, but there was nobody else camped back there because you can't really drive up that way. Cause the road kind of like, like, I mean, if you have something pretty heavy duty, but again, we were kind of blocking it. So you couldn't really drive up there. So it's not like there was somebody else camped there. Plus we wouldn't know. So I mean, with the moonlight, it maybe made it look shorter, you know, I just, but he still does bring it up. That's really, that's really interesting. Um, based on what you've experienced and I mean, what you've heard about the area, do you have any thoughts about, I would say some people in certain areas of the U S, uh, view Bigfoot in different ways. Do you view it in a certain way in your area? Um, as in my experience, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think, I think like what it is as a species or. Yeah. Yeah. Some people think it might be a, uh, undiscovered ape or a, uh, relative of human, humans that we don't know about. Well, so I'm not a biologist. I didn't go to college for anything like that, but I'm, I like to learn as much as I can about as much as I can. So, um, for what I've, from what I picked up, you know, from my Google Wikipedia research, um, at one point there was at least 13 hominid species, like on the planet at the same time. Now again, don't quote me on that, but, um, and so, you know, they say that the reasons that humans survived and the others didn't is because we adapted all of the, like DNA or the, the, the certain things that helped us survive. Like we can handle certain weather better than, like the Neanderthals could, but the Neanderthals were better at something else. And like there was also like inner breeding and stuff like that. So, you know, I guess that's how we survive. Um, and to say that another one didn't, just, I don't know, I, I feel like something could, it could be one to survive. Um, could it be something that, you know, you know, aliens took humans or an ape and like we're doing, you know, work on it and created a bit foot and brought it down. I, I, I don't know. It's the fact that I put stories of people saying, oh, they shot at them and oh, there was blood and it's, but there's some, you know, with the whole, you know, cloaking aspect that, I mean, maybe there's different species. I mean, because when you ask people about the encounters, they look different. You know, they, they, some of them are shorter, some of them are taller, some of them are bigger, some of them are skinnier. So it's, there's probably multiple different species. Maybe there's one that is an interdimensional being. Maybe, you know, because of extraterrestrial, maybe there's some big foot that can do that because they've been in contact with extraterrestrial. So now this big foot can cloak or teleport, whatever the case may be. I'm not putting any of that out of the question because, like I said, when nothing's certain, anything's possible. You know, so I, I do leave more towards the like, hominated, like, it's a flesh thing, but is it possible that some have the ability to do certain things? Absolutely. It really is an interest. It's always an interesting conversation when you, when you bring that question up, because there are so, so many different ways to look at it. And I mean, this might be the year where we get more info. You never know. Uh, who knows what is coming down the pipeline with information. I'll leave it at that. But, um, Casey, thank you so much for coming on the show. Uh, I appreciate you sharing what you've experienced over the years. Um, and, uh, listeners, if you know more about things that are happening in Southwest Utah, I'd love to hear about it. You can always leave a comment or send me an email at bigfootsocietygmail.com. And if you're a firefighter, paramedic or search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks that didn't make sense. If you're in the logging industry on a remote oil field or trucker with government contracts and you've had something happen that you've never told a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence, you're not allowed to report.
