Hey Bible readers, I'm Miss Emily and this is the Bible Recap. For kids! We've read the Bible together for 42 days, so it's time for our sixth... Seven Day Roundup! First... Let's zoom out! We spent seven days reading a lot of rules and instructions that God gave to His people. We also saw that when they had to wait for Him, they quickly turned away and worshiped a false God that they made out of their own jewelry. But then they remembered what we can remember now. God gives us instructions and rules and laws because He loves us, and He made us, and He knows the best ways for us to live. Let's review this week's Words to Remember. Having fear of God is to be in awe of who He is and what He's doing. Vulnerable people are most likely to be taken advantage of. The tabernacle is a movable tent where God lived. To consecrate means to set apart for sacred use. Holy means set apart. Glory is magnificence, splendor, and beauty. So what do we do now Well here an idea from our application When you read God Word you learn more about who God is what He doing and how much He loves His kids Even when you read about tabernacle furniture and ark measurements and family trees, you are learning very good things about God. Sometime today, write down a word that describes who God is. Beside the word, write or draw a story from the Bible that shows God in this way. Then, challenge yourself to think of a story in your own life that shows God in the same way. I wrote down that God is protective. I drew how he protected Joseph from harm even when he was in prison. And thinking about how God protected Joseph made me think about a time in my life when I was in a really bad car accident. I could have been hurt really badly, but do you know what? God protected me, and I walked away without a scratch. I hope that when you write or draw your story today about who God is and what he's doing in your life, you remember that he is so kind to us.
