Episode 898 of The Joe Budden Podcast covers a wide range of topics including Tracy Morgan's homeless encounter, wealth inequality across income brackets, the Jim Jones and Kid Cudi 'Day and Night' debate, Kanye West's apology, and discussions on hip-hop's silence on political issues like ICE enforcement in Minneapolis.
Insights
- Hip-hop's political consciousness has declined significantly over the past decade, with artists prioritizing financial security over social activism despite the genre's roots in anti-establishment messaging
- Wealth operates in distinct psychological realities—billionaires and those earning $2M+ annually live in fundamentally different worlds with different moral frameworks and risk assessments
- The distinction between 'rich' and 'wealthy' matters: wealth implies generational assets and systemic power, while richness is lifestyle-focused and can be lost quickly
- Regional bias in hip-hop discourse (particularly New York vs. national perspectives) obscures objective analysis of artist contributions and industry impact
- Mutual friendships in active conflicts are illusory—loyalty structures collapse under pressure, making third-party mediation unreliable in genuine beefs

Oh, boy, I needed way more than that. Oh, I had to go. I was totally unprepared. Oh, you was kind of an expert for the war shopping for the appetite on these children. I was prepared, but then I was making soup. And I was caramelizing the onions and I burnt them. So I had to go out and about six, six PM on Sunday in the middle of the blitz. What? I caramelized the onions. Damn. Poor part. Yeah, the grocery store next to me wasn't open. So I had to go to the other one. And she was not fun. It was not fun to get onions to get onions. My man. But humans and our ability to survive in a debt, boy, bring me back to when I was stuck in poverty. When that kitchen, back to that, too, the boy, yeah, I forgot. You gotta do it from time to time. Yep, so me and my man, everything was cool. Anything was cool. And I'm like, I'm dropping this little monster off. Annie, Annie, rat it. Daddy, I mean, eating this bullshit saucy shit. You ain't be out of house in home. I'm hitting her like, yo, I think I can make it to you tonight. It's like, no, no, tomorrow afternoon is fine. I'm like, you're not understanding. We've eaten everything in here. Everything I have to offer this little motherfucker. It's gone. You name it fucking Quaker Old Mill fucking checks. Anything you can find in this is gone. The rice, banana, and the rice cake shit is all done. We done. So yeah, that was fun. Getting out of house now. No, that's shit. No, my dilemma was, because I went to Maryland on Thursday. Then I came in. I played with him. Then I came here on Friday. Talk heavy. I didn't get a chance to get no saucy. So Friday night, Monday, I'm outside two in the morning. Looking for salt. You couldn't find salt. No way. If you just searched internally, you can find salt. You doing live, Aleman? If you just look deep, deep inside. 20, 20, 20. So you're driving around two o'clock looking for salt? I'm so deep. That's a big issue. You see what I'm saying? Did you workshop this one? You gotta get a better one than that. I'm on a phone with my girl. You know where you get older, your life's all over. I think I found some salt. I call you back. No. I see a whole little baby bags of salt. $25. $25. $25. $25. I mean, $25. I bet you need it. I bought five or six of them. That shit was crazy. Yo, the bum salt. Did you go out and shovel your. Wait, you can only search it and bought five and six. Niggas, that's all he had. People don't think. All he had. Did you go around and shovel your. They had the little shit. Yeah, I only want. They had the rest of the. $19. The little canister. You ain't had no choice. They're niggas. He distracted them though. Yeah. He highlights how expensive shit. Niggas, let's go back to what you were doing outside. I'm driving them around. What you doing in. Man, you know, what's up? Niggas, that's what I want. I was trying to be a responsible landlord to make sure my tent is taken care of. You try to Maryland to take care of your tennis. How you doing that? How you doing that? How you doing that? You're fine. I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine. I'm fine. Yeah. Listen, let me tell you something. You better than this way. It's depending on life. He's getting over the head. I'm going all the way to Maryland to go shovels himself. That's what I said. I never met a thing like that. As I thought you said, too. I was like, we still know. Nobody would know. He puts so much. He puts so much unimportant facts in there. He put out a filler. Yeah, we. Yeah. He body, too. I still don't know. What was in Maryland? I went to Maryland Thursday. What was out there? Didn't snow on the. In anticipation of the snow? Anyway, that's all there really. Yeah, never mind. You guys, what about that, right? I'm cool, bro. Anyway, that's all there really. Yeah, never mind. You guys, what about that, right? I'm cool, bro. Oh, you're checking on the rim. And then keep feeding it to the top. I'm getting a bump. Then you give the top. He's not telling you all the shit. He's saying he's doing the thing. Hey, but if you know the wrong enough, you just know what's going on. You know what's going. That's my man, man. Come on. Oh my god. I'm glad anybody made it to work. Say, how's anybody's vehicle? Snowden. I'll take it over here. I shovel it out twice. And then the plows came and just buried the bitch again. Were you shoveled, too? I shoveled my car out because I was on the street. Okay. I shoveled a little bit on my front steps because I got women and children in the building and no one was doing it yet. So I'm like, I'm out here anyway. You agree, man. That's nice. Yeah. I wonder if I only shoveled a wheel. You salt it. White guilt. That's right. That's right. Yeah. At least I can do. I'm shoveled. I know I'm just saying that we've done it. I took the wheel. I can take care of you. I'm going to be shoveling. I have a man shooting the building. He's next to a shoveling. I'll leave that in the vehicle. Who else was shoveling? You put salt down, huh? I got damn thing. No, I didn't have salt. But someone came eventually and brought salt. So I got you. Yeah, shoveling, no salt is useless. I mean, it's better than nothing. All right, but it's cool. No, I shoveled. Guess who didn't do absolutely. No shoveling. You were nice. You were free. You were a nice salt. You were free. Stay marked and not be in front. Well, I don't have to do that. There's somebody's going to come and do the shoveling shit. But, no, you guys did. My baby. My boy. You baby my boy. I got to carry this. I got to carry him to the door. I got hugs on. Oh shit. That's a bad side in the trade. It was It was there was some theories on the internet or two one was that he was a first ever I was saying he was a bully from his childhood Which isn't true. I don't believe okay a woman comedian jumped in and again has been confirmed But she says that this guy was a comic who was in on the scene they all camp together like when they were younger and he was like the shit talker As whole kind of dude who's now falling on some pretty hard times is that the first time he's falling on hard times Those that's the that seems to be distorted is the most accurate even though it hasn't been confirmed Okay, but how we feel about it though. I got to figure out I'm in the middle. I'm not bad at risk I'm in the middle bro the niggas up here are I'm on traces If someone treated me like shit when we was down and now I'm up and you can't ask for nothing Even if you homeless, I thought that's not my idea did I contribute to you being homeless you treated me like shit I guess you didn't thought I'd get here. I ain't do that. Well, I'm not Get the fuck out of my face Like depending on how this thing is used to talk to me absolutely you damn right You can say I'm telling you something you we don't know how that do used to talk to Tracy and obviously Tracy knows and I Forgot you now you coming to me Nah, fam and Tracy don't really look at dickhead in general like so if he feels this way I'm pretty sure Justifiable my thing is I would have just took the high road and be like I Fuck you do you know what I'm saying I wouldn't be little to my parade and I'm like but he started with that But then you go and say but I'm homeless like now you throw the No, I remember you I remember I remember what you yeah, so I'm talking to I remember you We're not cool. I don't fuck with you. Then you try to guilt me by saying but I'm homeless Oh, well, I ain't got nothing to do with that but I can see how he said like I know we have beef I'm not asking like for $10 so I can grab a I'm homeless and yo whatever we had back then I lost you You want to get you want to get I'm humbling my bad. I'm sorry life didn't turn out the greatest for me I know I did some fucked up shit I'm homeless. I didn't take as trying to guilt trip. I thought he was saying you know this should kind of trump Yeah, like I'm that's the other thing about giving right like a lot of times with giving for the heart is in spider Your personal feelings about Given fair y'all could say all of that we again We do not know what transpired between the two of them and he could be on the forever is upless And that's just that some people have that list where I do yo we hear whatever happens Don't you already know what what happened between us you even coming to me is crazy I'm not speaking to nobody like that on camera. That's the other thing What for what I understand the guy kind of intentionally strategically asked the question in front of the cameras Of course Or to pressure you like say you You don't feel guilty. He's might feel like I'm famous and I can't you put me on the spot. Yeah, that's what I'm saying That's what I'm trying to say. Yeah, yeah, but now you throw me on the spot. You could say no I'm afraid for you I'm a different way You know me call the Tracy Morgan donation I mean there's just no way for it to look good when you when you are as up as Tracy Morgan is But sometimes again back to whatever happened. I don't even want to care if I look good when it comes to you We don't know what happened between them. Y'all and that is important It is I'm giving Tracy Morgan a benefit of the doubt because he don't look like the person that always does this He don't come off like an asshole. So obviously there's something here with this particular person and the person knows So he's like yo, I remember you You you know me don't ask me for shit. Are you crazy? She's a top and place I guess For me it depends on you always mean the freeze out there The funny part is there's nobody on that list. He used to be me and the people And they're also just me and the people so my thing is at this particular point in time That's like somebody holding the 15-year grudge against you for some shit that you said you used to say some mean shit Then they go and that's why you my father the more. No, that's a good point. They do like that's the part you're forgetting They do where they do what there's people that have said nah, we're not fucking with you because of this and if you're homeless you Expect them to give it to you. I just got to eat that. Yeah, that's what comes with it You saying that because you saying that we close on and I used to be mean to people I'm telling you me being mean to people has still affected me Even if I spoke into these these people that's come up here that ain't really been If you was homeless and we're not gonna drag this but if you was homeless and seeing somebody that would you were mean to when they were up and they said Yo, it's like my dick. They got me. Remember you get the fuck like they were it but it would hurt it would hurt Yeah, that wouldn't feel good. But it's it's all for the Free to say that. Free to say that. You know what you did I don't want to hear I'm not where you can gain understanding from what you've been through and therefore Exhibit a different behavior. Well maybe apologize it. Maybe just maybe try to have a conversation apologize to the person instead of just write up to them asking for something but you know you wrong Accountability first. Here's the thing I'm being an asshole just from personal experience Sometimes you're a jerk to so many people that you don't even realize how you affected That person like that guy might not even remember it at that Which is like school bullies sometimes don't realize how much they traumatize the question do might not even be thinking about that He's like, yeah, we came together. It's I'm just saying I'm just saying story We got his comics like yeah We used to go back and forth used to fight to fuck with you and clown you cuz of this that and this but like I'm fucking homeless It's gotta be bigger than that. So the second he tells him like I said, I want to drive the second he says yeah But I remember how you I remember how you talk to me that's your reminder right there instead of you taking accountability You didn't flip it and say but I'm homeless so fuck all of you think I did I'm homeless now you should just be on my side There was a guy when I was a senior I was thinking about I didn't handle as well either There was a guy might when I was a freshman in college at more house He was my roommate was a dickhead And on the last day I had kind of started moving into the cold And I remember the last when I got back to the dorm to get my shit He had given away all my CDs his people that took like my my polo jacket I ended up fighting his homeboy. He's like I can I didn't find him he went back to LA Mm-hmm and And I never heard from him again after I left school and I always had a grudge I just don't really fucked up. I was like he took advantage because he thought he could you know what I'm saying and then last year His house burned down in California and during the fires and He did a go fun. His name was He didn't know matter. It does And he had to go for me and I was gonna donate one dollar And say you know you could keep the rest you know for them CDs. Oh, and he ran up my long. This is bill To LA calling calling people on that from you know back didn't So and my wife stopped me Because she was like you can't leave a dollar and like leave a smart ass message, but to me like that would have been like revenge I wasn't bigger. I was not big enough and so I was sitting I'm saying that to say like I'm a little mad and Tracy I'm like when I had the opportunity to be a bigger person. I wasn't either I there is something satisfying about revenge when it served cold. So I do get it. I do get it But we got to be better than that. It made me question I'm not But I know why You ain't got no fucking house Come on, but Mark is evil evil spirit anyways There's 200 CDs you know 21 years old. Come on man. There's something about a man Getting revenge Yes to me. There's something with that Like it's something going around right now saying how you was noted if you were man I think certain shit is just not Manly Yeah, revenge me one of them Not so much the act but the self-realization and the processor the the the Thought train that your brain has to go through to land on what gets you to the act the act you totally Understand it's an emotion and that's what happens if you internalize that the wrong way but Yeah as a man when you process that I Feel like you should be able to get to somewhere that doesn't land on Revenge like and I'm and I hold and I hold grudges I Won't act on it. I won't act on it. I won't do one revenge. I'm not doing it. I don't think that's the same thing Yeah, but we talk about watching somebody fail is not revenge. Yeah, we should be burning down his I Like yes, I hear that I hear that but not hoping somebody I'm saying like what I would have been doing is revenge if I had put on Go fund me that would have been just ignored it but I just I just ignore it. I don't see none wrong with that. Yeah It's tough though We hold you hold them people to shit. You said you were 21. Is that it was 19 now? I think about actually so that you that man Where he was 20 years ago and some of the antics that niggas did when they was in high school or Knowledge when you meet them today. They totally different individuals Yeah, and I think hardships. I think adversities and all of that stuff will make you become a different person So it's you you harbor and I shit from 20 years to say yo my bad here's Just to be out of the league I don't let go of media. I used to you persuaded me I started one place is I'm changing my position because you've persuaded me We should be better, but I'm not there yet. That's still working on me. Okay, that's okay How old are you 47 I'm on my bed that part of the work should be But the thing that told me that I thought about what Tracy was because he was in that awful accident and His life was spared and he got all that money from that that he'd have a perspective on life that would be a little bit more Enlightened in me like he'd be like look I've been saved. I've been blessed. Let me bless somebody else. Let me be forgiven You had a good career when you came from a When you came from to CNN you had a promising career Imagine if I still had them CDs in that public a person to say that saying about you you had a promising career You live you live well. You want a number one pocket. You great contributor like you had like you are somebody I should have perspective and I should have I still have the same position doctor for crying out loud. We should be better I'm just saying I recognize that in practice You Why is it always on the person who's doing well to be better? Why is it not on the person who did shitty things to not at some point say Damn, I was really shitty this person. Let me apologize. I think both for true. I think I think Too much is given much is required. We even blessed with so much. We should give more Yes, and you should humble yourself and say sorry whether you homeless or not both things are true Yeah, here's the thing for me closing Mark When he speaks he says you're a fucking lot of money. I'm a donate to this. I care about palisolica about the whole world He says that I'm gonna go above and beyond for everyone else So the here I'm gonna over side of that to say that you know this man's house burned down in this good fit I was going to donate a dollar to make fun of him about some fucking CDs But I didn't we don't use CDs anymore and he has a thousand polo jacket I think I have a big fuck out. We don't do kids in the desert is deal my lost boys tracks All I'm saying is like I can donate to a lot of people and feel good about it I should have helped him or I should at least wish I didn't have that urge to to spike the football with that $1 donation Again, I didn't do it because I was stopped. That's why you have a better half But it would have been really funny though. No way To who and honestly it could have touched homeboys heart if you were to donate it to three four five a thousand dollars to him like damn I treated that nigga like shit when we was in college. He just donated a thousand dollars to my cause like That's fair. You know what this is reminding me of I saw a clip recently it was one of those One of those pranks to dudes in the supermarket where he wants to give somebody ten thousand dollars But he's asking them so he went up to the first person. Oh, he said yo My credit cards. I don't have no money on me. I'm just trying to purchase this box of whatever it was Can you please help me like I don't have it. I need it. I'll pay you later and the guy's like it was all the white gentlemen It's like I don't have it. I'm I'm down to my last as well. I wish I could I'm broke and the guy keeps asking but please but please and he's like I'm broke if I could if I would but I'm broke He goes to the very next couple They immediately Purchased the the box for him. He says it's a prank show. It's a prank show. I'm giving you 10 grand I'm giving you 10 grand and the camera zooms in on the white gentleman who just Said he didn't have it and that's the big Ha ha and the big laugh and then I hit the comments and everybody's crying emojis laughing emojis laughing emojis And I say it is really funny if we assume that that guy had it right and was being a dick right But if we just taking people at their word he need to why don't fuck would you do something like that? Why the fuck would you do something like that? If that guy really didn't have it and really would have and you just giving away money Right see I like the ones where they ask for You know, I'm saying like I like the ones where they my shit is wacky I agree but I say like yo, can you help me with such a such and people just be blowing off being assholes and then because it's another one It was a woman from New York it went viral crazy where The dude was given he asked for some assistance that lady went to help him and he gave a mad bread and then she just bust out tears I was like, yo, can I give him some of my money? Start giving out money that the homeboy had gave her to other people like that shit just it was it was real heartwarming But Mark did you you had a question before I move on yeah, cuz you're you're taking the high road You you've worked with people some of ended better than others Whoever the worst Departure you've ever had with if they were homeless would you give them money? Yeah without without a hesitation? Yeah, no doubt about it Yeah, bro, bro This is my thing like you without a second thought about what occurred in our in our history yesterday If I see somebody that that oh my yeah, I don't I don't even understand the other side of that Mm-hmm, that's me that's me that's me you better personally. I want to read I want to read something to y'all y'all that I saw I think I think it'll be interesting kind of from a wealth management wealth management firm Just about mindset And lifestyle As it equates to money consumption okay and the different brackets, right? I thought this was really really really really interesting feel free to stop me at any point if a sentence or word Speaks to you or you have something to say about it Cuz I just think all of it is interesting what your income level actually means all right Low income under 1500 dollars a month Every expense feels urgent Planning feels impossible Stability is fragile Money here is about getting through the month Anything interesting there better than that yeah, that stands out in there Planning thing they got had to call out of work What's your game? I had to call out a word man. You got to go to the grocery store and By according to how much you can spend that yeah, man, yeah, man. Stably paid 3,000 to 4500 per month Needs are covered progress feels slow Saving feels difficult You're surviving not building Let me see three grand of 4500 yeah, yeah, build that you're there and a living in Let me stop When you when you start to talk regionally yeah that 3500 I made 3,000 to 4500 in certain areas in the country You can do it. You'll be fine. You okay, but in certain areas of not king But in areas of the country that's the $1500 bracket. Yeah, yeah, but we don't 4500 to $6,000 per month routine expenses are manageable I mean you paying your bills nigga Lifestyle inflation creeps in That's where all of us lose our girl If you if you I'm gonna start niggas explaining this to y'all in case you're not really understanding what some of this stuff That's where all us fight with our girl. It's rapiniggas lifestyle inflation creeps in Rapiniggas the border some shoes that was $1200 raises don't feel life-changing Money stress shifts, but doesn't disappear Yeah, since grandma. Yeah, yeah, yeah 40 for on it. I get it. I get it Comfortable six grand a nine grand a month more flexibility more decisions more responsibility money becomes about balance Not survival Okay, okay, I follow yeah, follow any thoughts Come that we're comfortable with so relatively. Yeah, it's not any words that are jumping out to y'all so far no no Now yet six grand a nine grand more flexibility more decision more. Yeah Money becomes about balance. All right. I get it upper and middle class 9,000 to 12,000 dollars Optionality increases That's where we lose our girl. Yeah You start you start she lose us right Time becomes valuable financial mistakes feel expensive Incoming good yeah, right? Yeah, that long yep Financial mistakes, but yeah, yeah income improves complexity increases That's the other part of this tough to explain to people can't understand it that complexity has increased now Yeah, things are not like they were I'm looking we're looking through a different lens. Mm-hmm. That's what I'm getting there You start losing friends Yeah, yeah, right around discussion start to be had with your friends that they don't understand They got out I had to argument my mother Not Like they just don't understand what your level of Expenses look like yeah, you get them saying like people just like yo, you got it Yeah, fair and it's like I'm not losing friends over that or family, but carry no It's a conversation But conversations start to be a relationship you might not lose them. Yeah, part of the view at the bottom of that scale the top Might as well be 300 that like it's so far from 50 zillion dollars right that they can appreciate the differences Like if you have 1500 that 9,000 10,000 12,000 even seems like a million to people. Yeah wealthy 12 grand a 25 grand per month Lifestyle is no longer the constraint. Oh, baby. That's wealthy. Who made that? Tracey Morgan's train all my Indian Listen buddy. I'm 25 grand a month your wealthy. Yeah, there are additional expenses rich Okay, I mean 25 grand a month is 280,000 yeah, should I know my mind? That's a lot of fucking would you cost me a big 300,000 wealthy though? No, that just feels like us you not even rich Depending on where you live. We only said where you live. You're kind of rich anyway Well in the dictionary rich rich and wealthy kind of are synonymous Okay, but I think a lot of us were raised to believe that wealth is greater than yeah, like it's a generation of like That's how I feel wealth is supposed to rich. It's a crook joke and then there's nigger rich. Oh, sure right now that we all are Still get our feet Yeah, because rich you can have rich you can Rich When I hear rich, I think money Mm-hmm When I hear wealth, I don't right and that's the difference did when I'd wealth are you have other things that are of wealth Right that can affect your lineage generational Riches rich is still I can focus in can focused yeah, I'm not dependent whereas wealthy is asset focused in lifestyle Where'd you read that from Oxford? Yeah, where's that? No, I just Google searched wealthy 12 grand a 25 grand I don't want this to drag lifestyle is no longer the constraint focus shifts to structure and efficiency taxes and decisions matter more Money becomes strategic. Yes, should yeah, I should yeah You don't give a fuck about this shit Rich 25 grand to 80 grand I'll but See and this should be inspiring to some people out there what what what I spent a lot of time on was the gaps, right? They went from 12 to 25 grand 25 grand went to 80 grand. Yeah, that's a big guys Income is no longer the focus preservation replaces accumulation control matters more than growth This is where perspective changes Hmm I've been living like this. I don't want to lose it. Yeah, I got to can't go back. Yeah Then the next jump is wild after this millionaire one million to two million per year capital works harder than label Than labor decisions matter more than effort risk becomes asymmetric I love that one money is an operating system should be I I think at this point they're not even calling it money anymore. Yes capital. Yeah, I think that's highly dependent on how you make your money Good point like I'm all labor damn near. That's good boy. Every dollar I make I'm like I don't have money that just comes in Every dollar I make it still labor focus. You know what I'm saying? I think for a lot of athletes for a lot of artists. It's still labor focus You know, I mean, I think for people who work in other industries who have investment or I mean There's I think that's generally true, but I think particularly for people who like us Um, who either come from poverty or lower middle class backgrounds or people who are sent through the arts or sports I think that's different at the at the beginning stage. I think you still eat what you kill Unfortunately, and that's like I'm not even talking about myself, but when I talk to people That diversification is so important because you never know when you're gonna blow your knee out You never know when this gonna happen you never know when that's gonna happen So when I talk to people I've even told you like yo dog you got to start putting money in other places So that if you do happen to lose your job like when you lost your job You was fucked up. You know what I'm saying? So when you do lose your job, bro You've made enough money that you could put some shit in play that went nobody's controlling and some eye controls How you eat they control the ability to starve you and so we got to start thinking about some of that shit When we start getting a level of income to put it in other places that make more money for us You got make that money work and that's what they saying in that. I think all of that shit is Pointing I think it's the I think I think the numbers are off Again A lot of shit is regional so here if you make three hundred thousand dollars here you still busing your ass You still are in the rat race and you still mentally are running around this bitch with your head cut off and don't have a kid Yes One kid fucks this whole thing up. Yeah, especially on the first the first half of that scale Mm-hmm You imagine making 50 because a lot of people who make the 1500 a month for the 3000 month have one and two kids If you make six thousand dollars seven eight thousand dollars a month and you got children It's hard to survive in New Jersey Yeah, especially New Jersey the next large jump from two million to thirty million. I would just I just big Tell us show Incoming net worth the couple Structure dominates outcomes Optionality replaces urgency Wealth is about positioning Bro that optionality urgency thing know the decoupling other that's five decoupling other income in the world Um, that's it is big. That shit is big. Did you did you feel seen? I didn't do that to you when I when yours came up Hours came up Yeah, but they didn't play with me like that you did so I'm talking to you no the dope part for you. I would I would assume And this is not mine. No, I'm saying the dope part for you. It's I would assume You can identify what most of the all of those levels which is fire true you get them saying like You can identify with no there are slides after that. Oh, I mean all the The next one is ultra rich 30 million to one billion per year Wealth preservation is greater than growth systems managed complexity Time and influence matter more than returns capital becomes infrastructure Hmm and the last one is one bill to two billion plus per year every year and then per year is yeah I didn't want you Just got Yo, I thought that could be helpful to some people out there especially after that homeless conversation I'm gonna actually get a perspective on okay because the thing about how desperate I would feel at the 1500 You know anything to that brother out there were probably killed a half 1500 a month coming in right now Yeah, yeah, that that gives a lot of perspective. Yeah, you piece of Donnie got insurance like well, you're one of the dudes that before you gave money to the homeless You needed to know what they were doing with it first. No always Never Check the room. No, this is a God fan you say whatever you want I'll buy you something to eat When I say I've bought niggas like the convenience store buy it out 60 80 dollars worth of shit where was I? Sleeping on the bread, but I was in a street before so I'm not I'm not Contributing to your drug habit, but you literally were selling the drugs Which is why I have an opposite side perspective like I'm not giving you money to go get how it? I'm just not here's my I'm not talking to you to do with your money, but here's why I see a difference Like somebody who's been in the game as someone who's been in the drug game. I'm assuming crack just because you know That's racist Because the error we came up in we came up in the crack error right so if you didn't sell crack you knew people who sold crack right or have on or heroin What either one crack? You so it's right you You're selling he's so next man. We based on what he said before on the show as he's like he was selling strong He wasn't a big time You didn't have work a plug wait like that small small Microdose right Here's what my point is if you're in the game even if you didn't sell crack or heroin Who did right You know people who buy crowds people who buy crack and heroin gonna get crack and heroin that will give it to them tonight So for me the money that I give that person who might buy drugs with it Yeah, I'd rather they buy a sandwich with it But I might be stopping it from knocking somebody in the head To get that crack a heroin because they gonna get it either way I'm I'm saving your TV your car. You know how you know that to me. That's how I look at That's why I don't care It's not that I want them to do the drugs. I just feel like they gonna get the drugs anyway Crack say which way yeah That ain't got a suck dick to get it now they ain't got it. You know what I'm saying although that could be you know any did that Not that Receiving end of the crack and giving All right, we're gonna use your crack analogy you know people that use crack got to get high like Yeah, like people If I give you five dollars or if I give you two dollars you still about to be back sucking dick You still about to be back Give her a break Like What you did I'm trying to preserve my money if I miss it you buy that's not true Niggas my bread. I'm not giving you money to give to another drug deal I'm gonna buy you some food. What if they buy drugs real they I don't sell drugs you want back when you did number two. I might as well to just took a short on whatever I was selling Sure Necessment $80 in the I buy you give a little business card with the Totation okay, I would else what else these are what else these are Some people are kind some people are not yeah, it's a fact. I know who to avoid if I ever get homeless I can't come as I remember me I'm Joe button remember I'm Dead to Joe Would you like to discuss Jim Jones and Day and night debacle we need to start Jim Jones Jim Jones get cut in the day and night debacle this should go fast We got to add to get to but in the event it doesn't I'll do like that old when a rocker fellow went to hot 97 No Why did I think that was the flyest thing ever when it happened like just not understanding the business of radio and commercials at all right when he was like I'm paying for the no cover shows damn whole paying for it That's got a fire Whole gate of niggas 25 When I was young I didn't know that All it was Niggas 900 keep wrapping young Chris Might have gave in the promise and then walk out on the niggas No, you know he did me at this gym club. Oh shit What oh Get close that out to But that's just that's OG tax that's OG tax yeah, that's OG tax back in Antoine wait you you full of surprises today. What are you talking about? Yo, it's a we record and we are man you have been through this a million times before what if If we had this trip club come on you know, I did the strip club and in 2026 I'm off that strip club shit ass as night liabilities My future wife is dick man, and then for me. Oh, all right and underneath me this But when we used to be up in the yummy running around. What's this dry-deware you over? I'm hitting you out of Friday I Sometimes you man go to the ATM she didn't shake it out right sometimes your man go try to pop the car Ain't working out right now big face gotta come back look try to get the car Think it's try to get the chill Yeah, so then you go to your man yo, I hold it down. I give it to you lit that that that happens man You've done it a bunch that ain't your man Yeah, no We house mortality different than our guests. We house mortality. Oh, you took them out and you rich so it's a difference We off the top I ain't rich friends how much what up in the air that night? Don't matter when you rich this bitch. We're done short stacks. Oh My bad cakes I Eat toast nigga fuck as you talk about y'all with the shorts. I will it for him. I will yeah, man. Yeah Jim Jones can't cut it can this be fast It's just really just happening Should be happening. Let's tell the audience what happens Jim Jones We're on the podcast and say what he's been saying which is I made kid cutty nobody gave a fuck about him Nobody would know him if it wasn't for me hopping on day and night and getting it hot Which led to him getting a deal and yada yada yada and kid cutty woke up one morning gotten it in an Net I love when y'all get on in and do this shit Yeah, I don't know reply to Jim Jones and was like would all do respect Jim is do gee yada yet, but You didn't make me you're not responsible for me my record was bubbling already I was already in talk with Kanye. I was about to get my deal a bunch of things happening Maybe you didn't know but I was somebody already Which has caused the internet and knows with Wi-Fi to argue back and forth and people from different errors in hip hop and Different region Well, I can say as average in young regions is both because you have Younger people that no like who gets a fuck about all of that we don't wait I just heard this Jim shit yesterday for the first time. I know kick cutty. You have younger people and then you have The New Yorkers. Yeah, I someone who was living in New York at the time and Yeah, I was a fan of both parties involved. I heard day and night before Jim Jones got on it I don't even know if I've heard the Jim Jones freestyle info I was outside I was in New York in New York. No, I knew York. We heard I was in New York The New York I was in New York. I was in New York in New York I heard Jim Jones in a lot on radio the day and night, but I heard the original But like I know about the original before I know about the same The joint I do think New York is feel stronger about this point than outside because when I see a lot of and I think it is Generation two, but I think a lot of the people I'm here and defending or I mean if it's something to defend the cutty Perspective they're way outside of New York and they're like Jim is crazy. I don't think Jim is crazy I just think he's over estimating the impact of back in the gym would have just said New York streets. Yeah, his statement is fact and radio's a sweet me and that's all that that's the only that's the difference That's the difference. That's where the mess up is that's where the the miscommunication happens because you say I made kid cutty You did not make kid cutting. No, but if you say I made him To wear the New York streets were listening to him. That's fair. That's fair and that's a fact Okay, is it really yes, they wasn't fucking like like a total other side of this. Let me ask you a question So I'm told you I remember that song that's when we used to be in Jersey girls every day I Love that record if the gymber I love both what if Jim no jump on that song there's no guarantee that song still don't filter Throughout the streets of New York it was already filtering in the streets New York So what I'm saying is just when I say the streets I'm talking about the I don't think so fans of Jim Jones I'm thinking filter me I remember I'm ready with the street I'm going to argue with it. So radio was extremely important back then I remember turning on the radio in here with Jim Jones Version of day and night played consistently day and night In the day in the morning and in the night top overnight They played it was quick version at least 10 million times Before I knew somebody else was on this Packer and then I might have heard the crookers mix before I heard kid cutty on this is a D.M. Shit. Yeah, so that was that was a big remix that was but the other regions you know in some of these conversations I smell a jealousy of some of you other regions. Let me just say that y'all be trying to have one conversation and The jealousy star of wreaking off you or the chip you got on your shoulder for a New York and Vittin hip hop or being arrogant and Smug when it comes to hip hop like and this is one of those talks. That's fair. This is one of those talks No, I think Jim I think cutty benefited greatly from Jim jumping on the song Great might be a stretch, but you benefit it for sure that songs in New York fish grease What I'm saying though is is no game I knew you're why you keep saying because that burn outside of New York you always on We're not gonna do that today because I love New York too, but I love hip hop So stop Mark. I love hip hop come try to have real discussion. I love hip hop But I'm not bound to say that a lot of your opinions I'm not New York biased and then because I'm not New York bias you take it to say anti-New York. There's a difference Okay, I am not a New York biased a lot of times y'all be New York bias where if New York is in it then it's automatically New York is up here in New York That's fine, but we're not talking about the start of hip hop hip hop has moved on for years Hip we just celebrated a 50 so we're not talking about the start of hip hop anymore We just saw my wife while we bias and why I understand that I think it's home I think people should be biased to where they're from in there Not even with that particular song with that particular song you can't necessarily say it helped it in New York But it did helping the Wells because you don't travel enough to see if it was buzzing somewhere else with the Jimverse You don't I okay good you don't know if it helped it in Atlanta You don't know if it helped it in this region or this region or this region because you wasn't traveling in outside in these spots to see if When the gym shit I mean when when the song came on they was rocking the gym version We only know because we are cemented in New York City, so we know what it did here not say that it did or did Okay, no no no no no no no no no In addition I'm saying it did it helped bro it helped I'm saying that when that record was on hot 97 Playing the way it was playing Literally day and night. I don't know Jim had a relationship up here, but in all day long That record came on those are spins true, which is that that led to that record being in heavy rotation in New York I in the biggest market So you can't just say New York when every PD in the nation is looking to see how many spins a certain record is being in New York Obviously you heard a song that was have been doing something somewhere. I'm not saying it wasn't so what I'm trying to say and until your point about Travel this is the block error when this record comes out Now we have the internet. This is not just local radio. This is not just regional radio anymore. This is one of the premier blog record Like songs so I mean block error. Excuse me block error songs now you you're getting music from all over You can see what's you know this what we fucking without here you get the internet made the world fitting upon me your hand It ain't no more you only know what's happening in New York You only know what's happening down south you only know what's happening on the way It's true. Y'all and this is a cool y'all that overstayed the blog era too. Not just that cool y'all that Displaced downplay the blog But you're everywhere when this moment we talk about Blogs was still very much niche There wasn't the overcompensating the over arching What years of the blog ever do you? What years are the blog? Yes, what's the peak? What's past song was that we first start going? It was peak blog error. I remember that's still kind of my space area. Yeah, we talk about oh eight I'm talking about the internet. Well, I say block error. I mean the internet, but that's but that's still This thing shit is what I'm telling you that it still don't give you the ability to test how the temperature of a song in other Regions if you're talking to people in other regions and they let you know what's popping out there Guess what you can hear was This record in other regions by the way, I know he's from Cleveland, but this record was produced in Brooklyn You know Because Was popping in New York, but you saying that on the blog you can hear from other niggas was popping in other places Which means this song is popping in other places? That's what I'm saying is that is popping in other places. It's not popping I what I say is Jim made that song pop in New York streets. I'm talking about Jim Jones has a fan base of niggas Who don't really give a fuck this is back when it was the internet versus the streets? Niggas didn't really give a fuck what was happening on the internet niggas didn't care about none of that shit Jim made it acceptable for the niggas who did not fuck with the internet to fuck with this song. That's fair That's what I'm trying to say Yeah, but you said I got a problem with I got a problem with everything I said say it different before And this time capsule that we talking about Jim is the hottest thing moving. Yes, in 2008 It's not some street rapper hopped on some shit and now the street niggas You keep trying to minimize this is ball and his ball and champagne or like yo Jim is on fire I'm not trying to take away from nothing cutty did. I'm and I still disagree with Jim I don't think he made cutting again playing Pat was running around running around working working cutty and Over here, so I disagreed that but anybody that is gonna come add two three four five thousand 50,000 a hundred thousand spins to your BDS helps that's not regional help That's not regional help my issue. That's not new York City help. Yeah, you're talking about radio industry business and you're correcting that Yeah, that's all I'm talking about and all I'm talking about is you didn't make this do you didn't make this song? No, I agree That was my whole point. I agree with you. He did not I think we're all agree with that nice and easy. Yeah nice and easy Now what time is it? Oh Duce is sorry, but well who gave me the word was it usher? Yeah, and of course Course is not the time Reparations is another word I don't want to hear in the chorus I can make a list Kendrick then put reparations in the all right course Like you didn't he didn't I'm saying this shit you just not put in the hook Eschelon is in the hook of a song that is a smash What's on upper echelon? Um, okay This would be a good time to talk football, but not yeah, that's just not no Not don't fuck don't disturb this groove don't disturb this groove Worst take will come later hey stick around if you want to hear hard predictions You want to hear who we got winning the game? All right I'm a where we I'm a sap I'm a complete sap of sucker a Early in the bro don't sit don't sit at word Sucker with a with a hard art Okay, why you said that's worse because yeah, but it's different is that Anyway, what is that you guys I am I Am believing Kanye West He put out a statement in the Wall Street Journal apologizing and I know Everybody says he's foolish it and he's just trying to sell another product that I know he's apologized before And maybe this is why I lived in a cult. I don't know, but I believe I'm all in I kind of into I like it I like it Like I like accountability save and given reason I felt different this time. Yeah It did I Think he went a little bit more in depth You are related to this big I'm trying to find my words I think that Where your back hit the wall and you started looking at the shit that you did wrong and it's a self-reflection thing there But I don't like that you you put it on something else you get them saying like if he was still in the billions and still rising to the top with he had the same Stants and I don't know if that I If your family this is themselves from you and all that shit maybe what stood out what made this apology difference for you guys It's really long. I was gonna read it, but you should it's long. It's a really long. Yeah, it's it's pretty long. I think one It was a unqualified apology To me He he he said what he did wrong He knows how he hurt people and he talked about what he would do to make it better for me. That's really important He gave context for it for for a long time. He's ducked the mental illness stuff right or other people have ducked for him When I wait when we point out even on the show, you know, he's the element. How do you know he got how you know he got that He's still a mental illness What you mean by he ducked I'm just there were moments where he pretended that wasn't the case and then there are moments where he Now certain pieces of it, but attributed it to something else More recently he's been more honest and forth coming about as mental illness here I think he went into the greatest depth not just of acknowledging mental illness talking about The car accident the roots of it talking about his magic behavior naming it and talking about what the Consequences or in the symptoms are of those mental illness issues For me that was important because he was tying it together without making an excuse He wasn't saying like it's not my fault. He was saying here's what happened. Here's how I got into it But here's how I double down on it, right because there's something compelling about that stuff He wasn't asking everybody to forgive him a lot of times the apologies like I apologize. I need you to get over it. Let's move on He was saying I don't expect that I'm asking for patients. I'm asking for you know I'm growing I'm gonna figure this out. I'm just letting y'all know that I know I fucked up And not just the Jewish community, but also the black community that was the biggest difference for me is that he remembered He was black and spoke to some of the issues that he may have caused in the feelings He may have caused within the black community in the past that was like an afterthought or not even mentioned Yeah, so get up that was different for me and the whole you write the whole not really asking for Change in how he's received like kind of understanding this is what it is and this is a result of the damage I've done that that's the difference the difference for me like you said was again He always was like yo, I don't need medication. I don't need this. I don't need that He came out and said yo, I'm bipolar. Yeah, we know what I'm saying And he said during my manic states this can happen that can happen this can happen I read that is because I Before you just before you finished, I think it was important He said you describing the state you're talking about it You feel like you're seeing the world more clearly than ever when in reality you're losing your grip entirely The scariest thing about this disorder is how persuasive it is when it tells you you don't need help It makes you blind, but convinced you have insight you feel powerful certain unstoppable I lost touch with reality that to me was kind of the last years in a nutshell I want to be insensitive Is it Jay Z line that said um My mom was fine to the dough hit it and told me that the mold did it I think this niggas power. I think this niggas money for that line me Niggas and blame it on the liquor really be the bread and I think no, no, I'm because some people ain't not I think that this niggas money and power had him seeing like all of you people are expendable And I don't need y'all because I'm up here and I think you when you get knocked down even though however you come to the realization is still a blessing I think that when you get knocked down sometimes And you get into yourself reflective mold The truth comes out and it becomes more apparent so we can appreciate the truth But I just don't know if he never uh got his ass with with he have been coming back down apologize into the black people Free it was a breakup some of this come by y'all shit down. I I didn't believe none of it Honestly, oh really it's just because I've seen this out of granted not to this level But it's just like the song and dance they are I see him do this like you see The you make the album cover. I hate being bipolar. It's awesome like you you you playing with certain shit like I just see Kanye offend Apologize sell offend Apologize sell so It's such a pattern that I just feel like we all right. We we're back here again and I will give him The fact that you said I don't expect everybody to accept the apology because I personally I'm on the side of the people that don't Like I just this is you I've seen this too many times to accept that this is you it's gonna take more than this To show the change and this could be step one But you gotta continue to do the work and as we're going to make and that's what he said I'm not asking for sympathy or free pass though. I aspire to earn your forgiveness earn your forgiveness To me that's important I write today something ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home I thought it was beautiful honestly freeze. Do you feel like you have a lack of compassion? No, I just I don't I don't just mean to call you just period like you ice no no I don't think so at all. I just think that I think a lot of time people be full of shit, bro, and I think a lot of people try to play on people being empathetic So it's like if I can appear sincere and if I can Tug on the heartstrings a little bit. I can get you back on my side And especially when they've seen it work I'm glad I'm glad man you friends you got the greatest heart in the world Like because when I hear him talking I mean like like the homeless topic like this topic And I'm just saying white family come from the church. I ain't got dropped off the school I can't figure out why I can't for that's why we're going to the other side I mean I just believe that people will show you who they are I think that a lot of people Will get over if you allow them to and I think that A lot of times niggas is real smart, bro They know how to play the game. They know how to Tug at the heartstrings and get you sympathetic just to sell you something like call it real quick I just got another email yesterday with Congey's stored announcing new items That matters to me when I see this Like they you you didn't entire email blast. Hey look we got all of this right here for sale every time your name trends It do you feel like you feel like you have in that look prevents you from seeing people for Who they truly are Because you or you or the man you look like you put people on the magazine of boxes somebody does something I heard a lot of times you saying that they might be full of shit or I don't accept that apology like this Not the only stanchi only time you took this stance so can that Thought Prefected from actually seeing somebody Do you know no what I want to know no matter the well no no and 10 matters, but we don't know they're in 10 You never know nobody's intent. So I give people, I treat people as, I don't know your intent. You could be foolish, or you could be perfectly honest. I judge you off your track record. So if you continually do the same thing, I'ma think this is you at some point. Interesting. I like what the letter does for maybe people that are dealing with mania or bipolar disorders, or any of the similar personality disorders, because it's pretty honest and outgoing, forthcoming where he's saying, when you're in these episodes, you don't know that you're having an episode, and you think everybody else is crazy for calling you crazy, but you're not, you're going through something. Right. And I have friends of dealt with this, and sometimes even champion some of the things that Kanye says. So I'm hoping that maybe you're seeing this, we'll be like, oh shit, this might be a awakening point for us. Some folks. I asked, like for me, reading that, I read the apology when I got all the way to the end, because it was, it was a little long. But when I got to the end, like I had to sit with myself for a minute, like it wasn't even, it was no longer really about Kanye. It was about me in recognizing that I don't have a personal investment in the matter one way or the other. Like it's not, I'm not about to rack my brain with, are you lying? Are you being honest? Are you selling something? You have a track record. You did this. You went into EMZ and you did, like that list can be long. I mean, I don't, no, not today. I'm praying for you, dawg. That's the extent of where I'm going with this. Can both be true to it? What you do with those prayers? No, I'm just talking about, I'm not really talking about sentiment. I'm talking about just like time. I refused to, like even with this topic, I feel like we've done this at least 16 times. I feel like, so, I've given it all the energy and effort. If you're healthy, I think that's wonderful for your children, for your family, for Kim, for your loved ones, the people that actually care about you, like personally, greater than your artistic contributions. Yeah, and that's where I'm at with it. Like if you're lying, then you're lying. Like this is totally, yeah, yeah. Like this ain't enough, but Tom will tell. Like I could, like I ask a question though. But it ain't going, but who at the time is going to tell who? Because it ain't going to tell me. Could you not go me in that sentence? The time ain't going to tell me. But time is going to tell him and his. It's going to tell whoever he's trying to convince. And you can't say, and again, I don't know if he's being sincere or genuine or not, I don't know. But you can all say that, you know, he's putting out projects and niggas don't even remotely talk about the projects. Him as an artist and as being one of the biggest artists we've ever seen in our lifetime. It greatest. In our lifetime. Yeah. Not in this forever. Yes. Dog that has to be having some effect on him saying, yo, dog, how did I get here? I remember when I would drop the world would stop for me. Now, how did I get here? It's not even a whisper. So now it might put you in the closet to I just point to say, yo, let me write down some shit. Because he didn't want these niggas back. I don't know if it is that's the case. I'm just looking at it objectively. Because it's real quick. Why Wall Street Journal? Like I said, that's a question I asked. Of all the places to put this apology that I want I have this well written apology. Why are you going to Wall Street Journal? People that he's trying to reach out to that he offended. So I'm trying to get a message to certain, again, which goes back to intent. I can't speak business intent. But if you look at the whole, it could look away. But if you may try to get, I'm trying to get these business niggas back on my side, bro. I'm fucked up out here. I got you there. I'm trying to get the business world back fucking with me. So let me go over here where I know they're going to see it. Can't both things be a little bit true though? Like I said a bunch of really fucked up shit embracing the swastika so on and so forth. That was wrong. And I would like to get my business back right. Like I think that's OK. Yeah. I'm OK with the venue. Because I don't know if you put in variety. If you want to, I mean, there's no place you could put it when people wouldn't have that same criticism. You put in New York Times, there's something. He paid for an ad in a major newspaper. I'm OK with it. If you picked to watch them post, there's a right one. There's some politics attached to it. Somebody's outlets too. So I'm OK with that choice. I think the best and most encouraging thing for me is that in Joe's right, we've talked about this a bunch of times. But the last time we talked about it, there's been no more drama since this time. A lot of times Kanye apologizes, then does something fucked up, and he apologizes again. When he apologizes to those rabbis a couple months ago, we haven't heard anything bad again. He hasn't been out on the scene a whole lot. To me, that also is encouraging. In fact, he kind of has been behind us. I think he really might be doing that healing work. That for me is the most important thing. On just a slightly different note, but connected, I had a doctor on my show last night. It's like a trauma psychiatrist. Because the thing I was trying to get a whole lot of is, how authentic should we take his claim that the most racist and vile shit he said wasn't coming out of his heart, but simply was attributable to this accident? And she said it's entirely possible that you could not be an anti-semite, that you could not be anti-black, whatever the thing might be, and still say these awful things because of a mental illness. For sure. But I think that's important to know, because I think one of the lingering thoughts a lot of people have is, all right, that might have been why you said it out loud. But you still said it, and I think it's important to understand people don't understand how life altering and mind altering a mental illness can be. So I just think that's important for people to know. Again, I can't speak for Kanye, because I don't know him to know, but I think it's important for people to know that it is very, very, very possible, according to her. The thing I had questions about was the car accident, whether that can happen or not, I didn't really think about it, but like CTE and all that stuff. Like you saw a false. I asked her that too. Dr. Lona Curry's name. I said, I said could that have actually changed all this? She said any accident that can shatter your jaw will also move your brain around. And anything that moves your brain around could absolutely change your mind. And then when you add other traumas, other situations, and maybe mental illness that you already had, that mixed together can lead somewhere really unexpected. So. Yeah, yo, I ain't gonna hold you. I'm just for me. I'm putting celebrities in whatever box they're supposed to be in in my life. When the slabs get here, if the slabs is there, then that's when I'll be there. Outside of that, I hope the brothers doing well. I pray for them, but not really my business. Fair. Fair. So when you pray, I don't like, I'm sorry, that's the interesting stance that you take, right? Because we all go through things and we would hope that people will be invested and wanna understand us because we're in the business of people pleasing. We were talking about that earlier. And when I mean people pleasing, I'm talking about like catering to the masses. So you would hope that if something happened, people could look at it like, that's not really him. He had a moment. So I'm investing in seeing his healing process so I can still support him. But I would want, you know what I'm saying? So when you say certain things like that, I'm not invested enough. It throws me off a little bit. Which I respect and understand. But I would think that a person like you who was giving, who was caring, would want to see someone grow or would want to see the process of what's the next step for them. You understand what I'm saying? I don't know if I'm, you know. I'm not showing them all the way clear. But I mean, it might sound like I don't want him to be well. No, you do, but you see, I'm not interested in that. You want to be more invested in it. If you care that much about people, why aren't you more invested in his healing? Is that my real deal? Yeah, that's it. But why would I be? Yeah. Why would I be? Why wouldn't you? I mean, Kanye, I mean, you know, like, just as a human, as a human. For me, everything really ain't for public consumption. One. So once we start talking about mental health, physical health, and spiritual health, normally when that's not right, we come to learn that because someone's on the internet not being right. Like, that's where the public is seeing this. For others, that's time for your real family, friends, and loved ones to kick in. It ain't for a nigga that you don't know, a nigga that you was on a record label with. It ain't for the, that connection doesn't exist for me. What happens when you isolate them, and you don't have them loved ones around, that can kick in. You kind of run, where else can you go? But I don't know. Gotcha. I don't know. But Kanye has many people in his life that love him and care about him on a deeper level than his artistic contributions and what song he has, and what pardon me, clothing he has, coming. Like, I'm not, I don't, that people please point was interesting to me. And that would have been a great segue to do our conversation. But I think if you got running into the public for anything emotional, you playing a dangerous game. Thanks. I sure. I'm a way that people play that game. I'm not into that. Me neither. Yeah, because I think it could definitely go. Either way, no. The odds are it's going to go the other way. Because the people online, inherently, in my opinion, are me. So if you looking for them for some sort of comfort or validation, and they start cursing, you know, ass out and calling you all types of names and shit, you can spiral out of control deeper into whatever abysmal state you are already in. I just think, yeah, that's a dangerous game. Yeah, recently fucking picture Ray Rice and his wife. Yeah. Was going on going viral. And Ray Rice is a junior varsity football coach at a high school. Him and his wife are still together. And they both are very active in the Baltimore community in terms of philanthropy and donating to abuse cases. And yada abuse causes and yada, yada, yada, yada. And he listens. Doesn't he? Yes. Yeah, he told Michael Pimble, that's up at that gym one time. Going to them little YMCA, James, you're a kid. Well, you don't know who in there, ballman. End up in the having to guard Ray Rice. He's another one that came to the internet and I gave thought gave a really thoughtful and beautiful apology. He worked through. He did the work. He healed. He stayed with his wife. He fixed the issues. Afterthought. Yeah, like here. And then that don't get me. Like the hair, yo. They don't, the internet don't want you to get better. They don't want to forgive. Like none of that shit, bro. We're gonna hold you to this right here no matter what. For people don't really care. I think the sooner you learn that people don't care, the better. Yeah, true. And I'm one of those people. Sorry. I think I gotta learn that. I did my wife tell me all the time. Care. Like my care is designated to those that I care about. I willingly and freely give it out to. That's at my discretion. But the difference. That's not just that's these stand-hives running around with all of this other shit. And later when we talk about the neck, the other murder and many appellists, I do want to get that hip hop for a little bit. I do. Look, you were saying you don't care. It's not that the internet don't care. The internet loves the demon eyes and villain eyes. So the people that don't care were just like, all right, well, whatever, keep it pushing. But then you got to other ones who just want to hold you right here. Like it don't matter how you grow or how you do the work or how you apologize or how you try to make things better. But some people it is never going to be enough. You did this and this is it. And that's not not caring. That's actually giving a fuck. Well, listen, I'm praying for him. I'm praying for him. That's what you get from me, Kanye. I hope that you mean your apology and I hope everything goes well. But that's the extent of it there for me. Let's go ask you when you're praying for people. Has Ray Jay in it your perilous? Why is Virginia doing more perilous? He, oh, you so he announced yesterday, he almost died. Did you see this story? No. Oh, yeah, yeah. I think you put on the board, but he, oh, no, he was just, he, his heart is beating that 25% now. And he was saying how bad is it? It got bad. So he got congested far away. He didn't say the word, but he was saying the hard thing. What he tweeted was, or posted on Instagram was just almost died. I'm alive because of your prayers and support. They even went on to sell some stuff or advertise the trinix net. But then said that his heart was beating that 25%. And I think he had pneumonia at one point. I don't know what's true and what's not, because it's Ray Jay. And so unfortunately, there's some people think he's crying wolf. But just wanted to say, just to be safe, you might send some prayers out for him. And hope he's OK. And hopefully just tell the brother to slow down and recover if he's, if he's dealing with heart failure, because that's something that's all I'm playing. That's that you don't want to play with your heart. There's no joke. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I think you up outstanding. You knew it. Yeah. Any other said shit about somebody that's fucking. I mean, rest of peace. She's a slide dumb bar legendary drummer from Slian Robby. Yes. And then he got a 3-8 legend crossed over into multiple genres. He passed away. I think he was 73, I want to say. Yeah. Rest of peace. Rest of peace. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no All right, I want to talk about Alexanold. Let's do it. Let's talk about Alexanold. If you don't know Alexanold, hopefully I'm saying his name correctly, Alexanold is the guy that is a that climbed that free-scaled Taipei 101. Yes Taipei 101 the Taipei 101 not Taipei, Taipei, Taipei 101 and climbed it and was 600 600 feet Jesus tall is he white 1667 feet tall. He is white, but he's a course. He's a different type of way. I forgot he's French Okay, he's French. He's French. He's French. He's French. He's pretty white He's wanted to white Listen, I was unfamiliar with this guy I saw a bunch of people saying holy shit What is this guy doing on Netflix? I turned it on and it might have been one of the greatest things I think I've ever watched and since then he's been on my algorithm Everywhere and the things that he has done the shape he's in how he prepares for these things How how his brain processes or doesn't process fear Like that was really incredible his wife was on like the 90th floor waving at him Yeah, cheering him on they had this even that part, right? Like when you into this type of Dare devil shit like getting your wife to be supportive in this floor is absolutely nuts to me And he did this with no string no harness no parachute Just a rope tied around his belt loop with a little thing holding his powder for his hands It makes me nervous even talking about it. I don't fuck with I don't fuck with it at all I ain't taking photos of that. No, I got to understand the way this building look though I saw it was shit He had to let little sculptures out he had to climb around and little breaks in between it wasn't just a straight shot They now respect him my man. Oh love me last time most people were actually afraid you know like when's last time people face actual fear Particularly physical danger like anything where they could actually get hurt Listen is great because I think that if you don't experience real fear from time to time You don't experience real danger and other things then your mind is sort of creates fears out of nothing I mean like I see that like when I travel like when I'm in airports I always hear people like stressing the travel experience like oh, what do we do with security? What do we do here like what have you missed the flight? What if we're in your like chill? You're like, you know, you're in a climate controlled airport. There's food everywhere. There's abundance all around you like You know like how can you get so worked up about things that do not matter? And so I think that the more real experiences you have with real fear real danger things like that The less likely you are to to make mountains out of mole hills, you know to like to worry about the stuff that doesn't matter This guy is getting to fan out of me. Well frequently asked how do you get down and the answer is it depends generally I walk down sometimes I down time sometimes I repel I mean I have so little things right here that we're open and repel back down But for the most part most things the free solar big clips and you can hike off the backside So you just climb up and then scramble on down Yeah, I have to say that Absolutely my heart is beating fast. I just hear them say that is privilege life Yeah, that's what I heard this guy might be the greatest athlete I've ever seen. I'm drinking milk Milk is quiet. Yeah, he's white so it's Milk almond milk Cool eight from like I don't even see Where your brain decides that this is something you want to experience that us no you it goes in levels So he probably started doing smaller structures. Did you see the movie and you start challenging yourself? Challenging yourself and challenging yourself watch the movie. He got a movie called free solo and he Again, I was like all right. This dude is fucking. I'm sorry. I watch because I saw the tweets about it Let me see what the hell is going on. So I watch it I was like I just do I watch it to see if maybe he was slip this is live stream of live stream Yep, I even check what time is it over there because it was a whole crowd on the street watching they had a crew out there and everything but You know he did that shit with no Slips no oh shit no no none of that he smoked it and I'm like I just do his bugging so then they started telling me go check out free solo Okay He different Like is nothing 1600 foot building was like him going to make coffee yeah, that was like work like once you go look him up in 2010 he did a retro onsite free soloing of the original route on the rainbow wall, which is 1000 feet. That's red rock Nevada. Okay 2012 we free solo the West face the West face to my knowledge. He did this a few times So free soloing the West face of L capy tongue in Yosemite okay, I think I had the operating system. That's not telling me how big this is Not telling me okay 2012 onsite free solo of La Fiesta, Danlos biceps in Spain I don't even know like how are these buildings? How are they climbable? It's all glass and shit That's it's like spider-man. It's a little Just a little fucking in between the glass. He grabbing Like and any dip When he put that little powder on his hands and get the climbing and moving sometimes he had to go to the side This was the scariest shit ever shout out the Netflix for even thinking To live stream something like this. I want to know what the liability was if this guy falls to his Foul face flat on the earth word The talk is going around now about how he was underpaid they gave me half a meal Sleaster know that Shit now somebody break that down. I'm how the business could get you right all like a do it say like all right You got the name we offer you this you you want more because it said he wanted more money to do it All right cool We'll go get mr. No name over here who will climb this building But you want to do it with the whole Netflix and all of that so either you take this deal. We're gonna get somebody else to do it You kind of back into the wall. I don't know you now. I don't think the list is long. I was about to of people that are gonna go just Free solo this You bugging you bugging all right then we go witness a death. Oh, yeah, well, wouldn't it's a death brain splatter over the ground Guess what fingers strong enough check this out And I hate to be that person you've been that person If that happened it's motherfuckers that was turning in to catch that that's not good press That's yeah, it's not good for that good you don't want They cut the camera away Yeah, I ain't I ain't so I gotta you good amount I'm great all that dare double shit You don't think people watch to see if this shit goes left Yes, but the company knows it is not going to they kind of have to bank what it never going left It don't really work like no insurance. Yeah, that's what I'm saying Yeah, you put your hand into it but to lie in smile if you don't really want to pull back enough You know me for TV, you know me like sick freedom. You know saying Fans do you know this guy was up there hanging like a bat He wrapped his legs around one of the structures in lean back and just lean back to catch his breath like No, you heard the whole crowd down there you were up when they're like Yeah, yeah, yeah, good fucking that's not a crazy shit like Joe said with the powder Because he had the shit on his back. Uh-huh. So he holding on he reached back with one hand get some powder Reach back with other hand get the power After the shower and I'm getting the powder too After the shower and I get the powder I'll be awesome the branch Okay I didn't buy the moments where you feel like a superhero in your life for me. That's one of them. Sorry You pull a powder on your back pouch You're Listen, you're I didn't even know I was into watching this. Me neither is what I'm saying me neither I could watch this I was glue palm palm sweating fucking George dropped at the edge of the seat This was incredible. Nothing is the air but it's not Netflix ain't pay me. I'm more watch this. I definitely think it's a bad way Never in a minute. I'm just That's what Ian said when he was watching Pat McAfee He was at my house who was watching Pat McAfee talk about Alex Hanoz And Ian said this is ad he's doing the ad he's doing the ad integration doing ad integration And I'm like I don't think he is because why would you want him to do the ad after the event? Yeah, you usually wow For the next one. No, not just that yo now you act like they stop making money after the event is over now I'm gonna bring a zillion eyes to the event. Oh, yeah, they're straight It's a stream. Yeah, it's living there. Yeah good a bit of ad. Well, this is not an ad Just though we perfectly clear But I would like to get but I would like to get a Netflix ad We supported right right? Yeah, also speaking of Netflix. Yo, I did turn on Netflix and check out a few parts Okay, you knew I was gonna do it It's in my kind of that's my thing when I'm up at 5 a.m. I'm nosy. I was trying to Rebels hate. I'm nosy. So I don't want to watch this force pod. I'm like I just want to watch you see how it I gotta tell you guys murder mysterious most of you sports pods out there Look like complete Bullshit on Netflix. Damn some of them things like they was on their phone Some of them were on their phones Was like yo someone you hold it on phone he was on a phone some of them were on a bullshit blurry yeah zoom have screen Some of y'all this look bad, man some of y'all with a production level ain't ain't right This it looks painful looks bad. It looks really bad. Yeah, it looks bad. Oh, and that's the thing about like Your your psychology in terms of some of these social media on YouTube. That's fine, right, right on YouTube I have no problem at all with your blurry low five. Yeah, it's fine on Netflix stuck out like a sore thumb Oh, I'm sure now to some of the podcasts that are uh Have pretty good production. Yeah Uh when I look the breakfast club wasn't there yet. Yeah, Rory wasn't there yet. I imagine that they'll look different I'm sure because they're not on a phone But you phone niggas on Netflix y'all look horrible man. Yeah, they did sports for the first week and then I think it was Monday That the rest of the positive one on that gave me a whole new perspective on some of that dumb Netflix deals going around I understand it now like lethal shooter said Yeah, say more hurt Adam 22 got beat up the other day Well, I don't know if he got beat up Or he ran a play or both I think it was both I think he wanted to win I did I belt Adam 22 went uh One of them fucking boxed matches Sorry One of them white nationalist boxing events that they throw over there uh Any foot Jason love which is the guy that slept with his wife, okay And he lost yeah, yeah, I can't I think that he's they he should be arrested for stalking this man Like if the nigger already then beat your girl down plow her out gave her the best dick ever See now we in a boxing match with the same black guy we couldn't find another black guy. I think something totally different You think that's the guy he should have wanted to pound someone. I think they all in this shit together I think they made a shit ton of money from that and we know and we're gonna milk this shit until no pun intended sure He's sitting there playing along with it with her pre-fight Antics and stuff all this shit is a play Adam. I think you ran a play. I also think that that's how you fight Three two things two things could be true. Hey if you was acting I didn't think that very too far from the real actual script of you throwing a punch Sorry Oh He didn't look good and it's like I mean wonder but I don't know him So I don't know how he normally fight but it looked like he's I mean going into a fight that untrained I just wonder why you would do that like a how he would have thought he would have won It's all part of the play like they said And now we got uh, ack and little baby about to fight right Well, I don't think that's gonna happen either. That's definitely not gonna happen. Yeah, it's not happening So one of little baby this I'm just reading about this sound like old men with the teeth first Sure It was reported that one of little babies on tarage members slapped academics and now academics is trying to fight little baby Yeah, I think I have that right. Yeah, okay. I could damn I could damn was also stated that little babies teen paid them 30,000 to Um Not shit on his out to not trashes out. I'm not shit on the devil and now I can say he went 300,000 But apparently the reason why the kid got close to academics was due to live So it was a whole thing with you know, he let Tyler through walking up to his car and the guy that's axe version Yeah, axe version. Yes, but why would you want to fight little baby if His man is the one that assaults of you He's saying that his man is not He feel like little baby sent this man or co-sign that that's what he said. Oh, okay He said you said that nigga do that. Why would you mean after we had somewhat He's gonna have some gold and had some peace and I chilled So I guess he feel like Because we had peace little baby you were supposed to spread that to your goons and it was supposed to be Uh, we're going around. Oh, he also said that didn't happen. So His man came up to the car did whatever he did and this was last March and it didn't hit the internet But now it's on the internet from Homeboy little baby's gone who did it? So he's saying now it's up with little baby Now the part I saw axe said that he wasn't actually touched there. He said dude didn't actually hit him So did that's the two compete inversions to do steady smack them axe that he didn't he didn't put any hands on me So it's all this shit to play to no no, okay. I don't think this is real. No. I don't think it's a play My only thoughts on this right because it's ain't under my business y'all go to these fucking events and Lord knows what be going on I'll be home But axe said that A Mutual friend between For him and little baby is rod wave. Yeah, okay, and that was a rod wave concert that he was at Okay, and little baby called rod wave was like you fuck with this bitch. Anything better But I didn't hear anything else after mutual friend So if I can help anybody out there There is no such thing as a mutual friend at all There's no such thing it doesn't exist. What you mean? Why do you think that because it doesn't Explain explain I know you do Always on one side that's not true. Yes, it is somebody always and if you the nigga in the beef you can't afford to risk it You can't afford to risk it and find out that's different. I understand that's all right But if you understand that then there's no such thing as a mutual. Yeah, you just saying that's a I'm arguing with you niggas. I'm talking y'all can give y'all a take. I'm saying If you have to move like that If you go into if you go into a place where you think you got a friend and the person you beef and we've got a friend That's not true. I you know you're arsenal had a back and forth isos in the middle of that. It's not beef You know what it's not beef at all You're gonna come with these false parallels. I'm talking about some real shit I'm talking about niggas want to see you and do something just put hands and feet on you bullet to knives Inside of you what I'm talking about so you're gonna be in that you're gonna be in that situation and think Because my friend is good. Yeah, I see you say that's all I'm saying that's not a mutual friend thing That's what I'm saying. They could be somebody you respect yeah both respect that can squash some shit like that They have both respect but the mutual friendship nah if you beefen with somebody if you beefen with somebody Well, I'm just about to repeat what I said already, but if you're beefen with somebody You go ahead and trust mutual friend and that fucking give up your location or anything or you want I think that's a dangerous game Yo, when you were ran with beefen I was friends with both of y'all And used to tell both of y'all yo I'm whatever y'all got I'm gonna do it that don't talk don't talk bad about him around me don't talk bad about him around me I'm not in your shit. Yeah, I know there are mutual friends in an instance where I'm But I think you know friends with me and ran with you. Yes. Yes. Well. Yes. We was What he was me ramby bro there was an ice was no he was no leave around yeah, he was no I mean that's just not tall friend Well still I was very early in us that's what he had to do escalate right that was a we still feelings You see You in a time yeah, I was right at the time, but but still what I'm saying is y'all was going through shit like and I'm like Also another example with me and Randy want to hurt each other But other people did me and Rand didn't want to hurt each other's all saying I'm talking about when two subjects of beefen anyway, I don't want to keep it myself. I do have another point also It it came out that the driver was the security Like to do that that alleges that he hit act yeah, it's saying I walked up to the car and once I saw it It's security was the driver I popped off fine because He ain't about to get active you you behind the wheel Teach a bull moment number two for you niggas out there Your driver is not your security and your security is not your driver now if your security happened to have a ratchet Or is down the yameen get in with you that's different. I mean not you can drive your driver If your driver is down for that then that's awesome, but those are two different tasks for a reason And that's all I had on this I wish everybody well if the two niggas fight. I am going to watch it That's the part I didn't I hadn't heard yet the um I sort of saw a headline saying that that a little baby had agreed to the fight that's coming that's that's from Fucking home from home. We're right for low fuckity fuck. I know ice be on the inside of something So have you have you heard any confirmations? I'm not you say hey, I'm like hey Mark. Yo, I wasn't being funny. He'd be knowing that I don't know them. Okay. No I'm like Yeah I'm not The internet was happy that uh, this was all going on what they got hit I won't say that but a lot of different sections of the internet were happy Some people were happy that act admitted to accept and pay all of them because they felt like it would help Drake's case So now I don't fucking know Okay, uh who else was happy who else the people that hate academics? Uh, was happy who else was happy The internet was kind of a little a little fake party when this was going on And then the act act fans was just happy to see him fucking spas now don't on little baby. They enjoy a good axe bass out Yo, the driver's not your security dog one of you niggas is gonna get shot Not act or uh not anybody I don't believe that any of that is happening here, but we don't want to shit though. Come on The same thing that sort of story. It's the driver. Yes. Yes. And yes, it's always a mistake at least to nothing but Bad Now would you say flip we come from different things. So I mean it is you know the watch it play out is it's fun But we just we look at things from different, you know Where we come from when the ship pop up back in the day and those positions the nigga that the nigga that when to go get the car nigga the driver The shooter was in the backseat with you What is this new stuff? You're fucking drill kids changing everything again. He's just being true. They want to drive and shoot and smoke and Yeah, things man. I just think the act just trusted the situation. I don't think it's just trusting it He just felt like you know been plenty of situations that I went outside and everything went well and he's just trusted it and Now you know, it's a lesson learned from him. He's a good guy. I mean, I like him So let's see hopefully you know nobody gets hurt That's my prayer always Because you y'all might not be serious or y'all might be serious whatever But a lot of time it'd be that third party to do they want to score points. Yep, or get attention or getting to mix some shit I'm gonna do it or to x point yo, we supposedly squash it But it's a nigga that is trying to I don't like them rogue niggas. I don't like niggas that go rogue, girl If you know why squashing you go rogue because you want to you is Ramadan for you But what if he don't know I just think it's oh That's somebody that my man got problems with He might not that means that you not really in the loop then that means that you just doing something To you think that I want this to happen and you just causing a bigger problem than anything else I got you She I got to tell you it does feel good to be beef free I don't think that that said enough in hip-hop If you're good to not be for nobody Yo, you're my choice You gotta walk in Tim Hortons on the swivel No, man, the swivel did what is there's mode to the swivel was one Aggressive swivel There's a quick little light checker in Something is that gotta keep they back to a wall Get back to the chips niggas Come on now you go to target walking any hour you want just happy Stay at the customer's there look at y'all over there ain't nobody looking to shoot you jump you You're just driving no tense people can see you like that's what you're fucking 40s inside Well, I don't understand it I want the 10s yeah, we're you love you there. I want the 10s definitely with the 10s. Why for you? You can do fishbowl bro. I'm not fucking you 10 fair. I'm it's it's habitual at this point. Yeah, I'm not gonna hold you I fish go to it. Yeah, I'm grown. I go straight to the 10th spot Why do you think today would he ask you? I said my fish bowl too. Oh, and yeah, I don't need that Yeah Joe come on Joe and a color like if you're doing it for aesthetics Like I think certain silver cars black cars white cars they look good with tents just aesthetically But I'm not getting 10 you know what look better than the 10 me Thanks On that bullshit they what they know that was you what they could see you he's mean on the road. Yeah, man. No if you had 10 I'm saying always my main back of tenet And so does you got it? No, it's certain cars again. Maybe I should be tenet. Yeah, your main back should be tenet My rolls my rolls worse is not What my for are they gonna look at me you gonna look at me when I pull up actually for all you go hit me Yeah Why would I need to not be seen here hear me three mouths down the block? Yeah, that's in shit is for kids No, I'm not saying shit is for kids. So I'm like never growing up there. You could do so that old freeze I wouldn't do it, but I wouldn't take the windshield, but I'm taking the windows. We all stand on the lawsuits There we go. We all stand in the lawsuit Let's get to the real shit I thought he would kill if this little number he had on here was a valour I like valour Me and then parks was like he laughed me out the room on I think The court is it the court is it with the lawyers is We're supposed to be handing glove you go together. I think that a valour is timeless. It is I have several Sean John Regularly It's coming. I've never seen you a valour. Yes, you have For Lord. I see you velvet. I'm gonna search your cheney suits up here that are valour really? I've won Valour up here too. I want to say you wore velvet You're a difference picture at time where you feel like you can't put a valour on yeah That was I love a lot. I just haven't seen it. It'll very long time. I was really different I'll tell Johnny no-nose is feel of a lawyer's played out Johnny no-nose Oh Important what else is important what else is important? I'm not doing five you know in 21 again. You're not fucking killing my new year I'm cool. I don't care about none of that shit That's if you start a beautiful ceremony with Derek Rose Oh, shout the Derek shout the Derek Rose Let me hit the round of applause if it was better weather. I would have tried to go But that was absolutely beautiful Him and his wife with the organization did all the players that showed up When they showed the jerseys that was up there like that's a big deal Derek Rose Chicago's own Like all from day one the whole way through in Chicago So for that to happen in Chicago how could you not support that's like a child a child that is a childhood dream In well deserved for sure definitely definitely definitely what you was that face? What face? He wouldn't have been next in my line, but I I think What line for a fool's of bulls plays a dessert. I would have given it to this rhyme. I think this rhyme has had his number retired already Um For what he meant to that organization where he meant the basketball what he meant for the greatest team ever He's in the Hall of Fame. I think he probably should have a jersey up in the rafters But I'm not better than that. But that's not Derek Rose's problem I thought Derek Rose deserved him. What he's meant to Chicago is so amazing. I also loved the um His interaction with his son on the sideline as when the sons of the crying he was going back What I mean the way he was talking to him and what he loved about him I just I thought all of it was all of it was beautiful. You know shout out there And robbing Jersey technically retake who else picking 91 Fair you know what I'm saying like we can lead out when anger by going touch Robb is should be up there. I just want this jersey up in the right because it's crazy He's not retiring anywhere is he Detroit hasn't retired him. I don't believe so And especially Lincoln's wittin so it will be the will be the will be the place to do it That's all when when my jersey is raised and it's time to talk about it. Don't bring up that trophy Don't bring up the other people This is a Derek Rose how many MVP's Rodman got Yeah, like only you all that shit Does he get does he get does he get this is not even a Rodman talk? I don't y'all keep trying to Rodman me. I love the worm I love the worm It ain't about that ain't about that right now. I thought he played more seasons. I'll just check him We played three seasons with Chicago. That's what fucking he got three championship Hmm I'm not I'm not against it but you think sports takes is like he came from a 60s cult time travels to today And is trying to blin You know what you should be up there now Rodman's now You think that's a crazy take then his rodman should be at home. This should have his jersey reasons Not a crazy take no I think that's a crazy take and that's better world peace did wear 91 in honor of Robin I don't think it's a crazy take but I think it's a crazy take when you're talking about Derek Rose What he means to Chicago to even bring up Dennis Rodman is a fallacy The I'm not again, I like I said My dentist Robin point does have anything do that that's not Derek Rose's issue I'm just saying he wouldn't have been next in my line I think when you retire joys you should retire them chronologically. That's all I'm saying I'm not talking about who's more important. I'm saying Dennis Rodman retired a long time ago Dennis Rodman shit is retired and Vegas for sure Right a couple poker tables definitely Derek Rose only played three years in Chicago But but he that he Chicago born and bred is different bro. He's from Chicago He said there rolls only played three years in Chicago played three Because remember he was on the team, but he got he confused with me. All right. I think he's probably there for five years maybe All right, yeah, I don't understand what y'all's goobie. No, it's wrong. No, but there's some there's some injury years But I'm in terms of like action still wrong. Yeah, it's still wrong We got it yo Derek Rose congrats Congrats Like I said congrats I'm happy for my problem. I love a hometown story You know the man I love us and Mike gets drafted by the hometown team and plays their career A major years there. I mean he was the only thing I think about Derek Rose Other than his greatness is how much better he could have like I wonder what his peak is when I always hit a debate So who's better Derek Rose and their prime versus so and so on they probably like we never got a seat Derek Rose is prime. He was such an extraordinary athlete and he got I was there at the game we got injured and um You know the watch his career in nice. It's not in but it's tried to cut short. It's not about the same his prime get cut short Yeah, it's tragic. That's it He's a special he should have been hung up before ramen. He played seven eight years in Chicago Ramen only played three Granite Robin did win three rings but ramen wasn't the Primary or secondary focus of that team Derek Rose was him ramen wasn't the focus or secondary focus now What the how do they keep squeezing Rodman back it just squeeze the word and then Derek Rose Something something is wrong with y'all come on we can talk football. Oh no, no, no, no, that's not good football Come on, let's get through serious stuff. Well before that um There was another jersey topic. Yeah, so when Anthony had Tyle Lillon show And he was talking to Tyle Lill about the jersey assigned LeBron James jersey that Kamelo son gave Tyle L And uh mello was telling Tyle Lill that he should return to Jersey um He'll set a mental value how important remember Bill yet is and stuff like that and at first you know Tyle Lill wasn't receptive to it But he started So a lot of people talk about it online. He wasn't receptive to it at all. I mean he got a LeBron jersey So mello was like you should return that jersey to my son You know what I mean and that's what was going on out here and he's a big LeBron fan, ain't he? He is he's like a real big LeBron fan But mello you know I'm a big fan of my own shit like if you if I got shit and you give it away I got a problem with that especially my kid, but maybe his son looked at it like yo LeBron my uncle man I can't wait for this time I feel like it What I'm gonna say you wrong I'm saying that's the problem He can get any jersey he want but mello's looking a little bit different. I don't know what you know He looks at a little bit different like it's his shit I share mello's position. He look at it like a dog where's your son looking at it like that Uncle Brown like I could get this whenever I feel like it What's another one? Yo you're a spin mad money on some shit and your kid will be like yo hey you can have it You like you what right? You know I'm saying that's that's normal bro And they rich rich. I just think I think it's normal if you mello do you go over check down the jersey? You can't really do that either That's why I want to get you shit Hey my shit you ain't here trading my shit Yo do you feel tired? Do you feel tired? Let me give it back? Yes, yeah if he asks for a bag You feel different than his to give see that's where you got me yeah right there what that part because if it was if it was um The sun jersey and he gave it to him. I mean he gave it to me. What do you want me to do? You can't get mad at that. No, we're gonna give you the sun's just serious No, I'm saying the broad James jersey. That was originally been gifted to his son. It was his sons jersey Lebron gifted it to him. It was a side one. Yeah, it was in that back bunch my jig Take that back big dog the fuck y'all tell my He gave it to me. I hear you. It's coming back. I get you a little sign book or something I like it man. Take it back to sneakers. It's that work then right? We can't get an itch no more than that. If we have shit with them it's workers had the Gucci sneaks on Like foundations And it's white All right, you see the peeling That's dot call it is Yes, you know, yeah Yes, he don't I would bet my last dollars in the head You have them still The brain game to the work anybody who's house check That's not fair. I bet you I'm gonna be in front of you as dot Cuz I'm a look I'm gonna add it look look at you dummy I Would be that nigga you know what I'm at Yo, if I came to the house and asked you to bathroom would you walk me there directly? Yeah Some people walk me today back for Yo has down in second door. I'm a left I walk in nobody to my bathroom I was you I will definitely walk this nigga to the back for sure. I'm actually my boss. I'm gonna. I'm gonna. I'm gonna treat I'm going to his rule. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, but then turn the TV off. It's a brainy guy. Take a picture. He'll see I go be a pool and exciting off his house Yeah You be making the right decision I'm gonna be bigger and more expensive tomorrow Well, which one of yours because you build in multiple countries. I'm not your house will be more expensive and bigger than mine I don't know about that. Okay. I don't know. I'm cutting costs every day I I'm not many cars No, I'm cutting that much. I ain't that much cutting. That's gonna be the nicest little single family you ever see The single family with a pool look at you single family. Don't kick single killer. It's a family's very inside That's the thing too. Oh never mind. I'll give you a story I Think by design I was just I was just born to be don't say it don't say it wow I think we'll say for Delphi no, no, no, no, my heart is too giving to be for Delphi boy Yeah, I had we conformed it shit. It's time to wow Anyway You Every time I say it y'all get all to the face look at y'all talk about me that's what you're worried about you Yeah, I mean Worried about yourselves Come on, let's talk about Minneapolis and how hip-pop pussy hip-hop is oh Take good. I don't think it's our take. I'm sick of it. I'm sick of it. It's sickening. It's sickening to Think of the hip-hop I came from and the hip-hop I was introduced to and thinking of hip-hop that other people were introduced to and how silent Hip-hop is on certain matters you niggas is ponds, pussies, and fucking puppets all of y'all Don't have a voice to say shit everybody. It's just too silent for me. It's too silent when you see Americans getting executed on American soil and they're 80s. Yeah, by by America and then they go on TV and tell you every reason that what you just saw is not what is No time in my life could that happen and hip-hop not being an up-up rer I disagree. I'm gonna ask you. I know we are we on a box a podcast given our stances and takes I think that hip-hop has turned their blind eye to it because it's a white person. Yep Because white people and hip-hop Negative show we we we push a lot of anti-white whatever whatever so if it's affecting white people hip-hop look is looking at it And it's if you read the comments I don't give a show push it We make jokes on white people What I'm saying is you if you read the comments they say I don't give a fuck these white people down come that our back down come the To support us when we go through Trials and tribulations fuck them if you read the comments is playing this day and it's very loud in the comments I don't give a fuck about them shooting white people people are saying in the comments I mean I'm struggling with this because I do think when things happen to people who aren't you The natural human instinct is to have more distance from it It not just Alex Prety who was killed this past weekend by Rest in peace by these officers that just killed murder executed I don't want to use that word just because it's illegal term and I don't want us to get sued But he was certainly killed by police and if he's found guilty then it would be murder but I believe it looked Consistent with a murder allegation for me Um, he didn't have a weapon on they took the weapon from him and still shot him and we saw that we saw that plan as they on the video I mean it's it He wasn't in a threatening stance. He wasn't nothing like you can't say that you shot him because you were in fear of your safety or your life His five of y'all on this man. He's down on the ground in a submissive positioning and he got shot my problem with that is just the hypocrisy when the fucking written house kid and all the millions of other Fucking NRA it's all the second amendment banger saying he had a right to hold the gun. That's a fucking American right When this happens he's a domestic terrorist fucked up and it's wrong and it's hypocritical Anybody is saying is my you can get the fuck away from me. Yeah, thanks. Thanks. Thanks Let's not ignore the fact that they actually also just lied. It's not just a matter of perspective the Trump administration the All his attorney general's office everybody they've Lie they said that this man was attacking police. Oh, the ice agents light It's that this guy was in a threatening position. He wasn't so that's a big problem I have with issues retort to what I said. Yes, it was a white person But it was a white person defending a black woman Bro, listen to what I'm telling you. I'm I'm not for this not my position I came in here for weeks and weeks and weeks and say anti shit to what's going on I'm telling you that if you read the comments the comments are saying fuck them They never come to bat for us I don't give a fuck when they are getting murdered. That is what people are expressing. Okay, so if you talking about a hemp hop thing Collectively, that is a lot of people's opinions. It's not issues opinion I'm not getting our business touch. Yes, I get you for where I was going with that But what he's saying it is but I get I get well I also don't really agree with that some of it because when there was the various terrible things that happened in the last administration There was plenty of white folks there protesting and saying shit anyway I give it I give it is just saying what he's saying Is it that's people's perspective whether it's accurate or not. I guess what I'm yeah, but no, I'm whole up bark slow down Who gives a fuck what people in comments are saying Like when I'm talking about hip hop and the people we listen to uh being voices and almost news and social activists for what is going on regionally That's not really Who cares about what the comments are saying Like the rappers that I came up on were community leaders Like this is bigger than I'm not really I'm not really having like a music and what hey what's your opinion on this conversation see We have too many voices and if all of them are silent I'm going to assume some of them are and have been complicit with what is going on I think I think that's where I'm struggling to your thing to and it's I in this where I was going just to your point I mean I feel where you're saying about the What how people are doing it because of distance but I feel like from from being that thing But for me even in even in manyapolis with George Floyd even I just felt like in the last 10 years I just feel like the artists are just getting further and further away from a political consciousness What what George Floyd with with with George Floyd was hip-hop loud that's some say I don't think they were loud if they're either That's my point. I feel like loud enough is a is a comparative I'm saying was the hip-hop community loud when it came to George Floyd They weren't loud when it came to George Floyd. We just saw two people we saw three people get shot We saw two people get killed and Joe was saying hip-hop is not loud and I'm telling you that there's a disconnect between what hip-hop sees that is their problem And what they see is not their problem. We are not in disagreement. I'm calling that those people that are from that hip-hop Pussies puppets cool and porn. I'm not disagree I'm just telling you that that is the they have a reason that a lot of people are speaking through that lens And it's not me making it up because I don't stand with that side what I'm telling you is a lot of people are saying this a in our fight Fuck them a lot of people are also saying y'all I don't give a fuck about this immigration shit The Spanish people don't come to our back But see that's why I'm not making that shit up. That's what no a lot of people sent him in I think you're a hundred percent accurate People are saying y'all these Spanish motherfuckers voted for Trump now they get what they bargained for and see I agree with your assessment 100% of the people are saying that my point is just I see a growing disconnect between our politics Yeah, and and and our and our representation in the arts. I agree you know and while I agree that it was louder for George Floyd And it was loud and Ferguson louder and Ferguson. I still feel like we're sliding down. I still feel like it's getting worse and worse Even when it is us, but I also want to just add real quick Even if I accepted like okay, Alex Prede's a white dude, you know, Renee good whatever what this I mean Are we gonna say the semolins aren't like you know me like I feel like we just keep Smiley excuse me. Thank you. We um we keep a We keep establishing new us as in them. Yes, yes, yes, yes That's what we keep and I think for me it's a humanity point. It's a decent C point It ain't about what color you know, it ain't about what your ages He lit us up My bad bad I don't give a fuck about what We human beings my nigga and it's a humanity issue to me more than it's a racial issue or Ethnicity issue I think is what but again dividing conquer is Has always been a sure for sure So you and you want to total opposite side of that right like you for do you feel like That some of the people feel That We've been going through this forever so now is you now is y'all turn to see what we've been experiencing Do I feel that that's a right position? No, I don't know. Do you feel that that's what people stand? They're saying it bro. It's not about what I feel So no, he's another layer to it though. He's saying not just like that in our fight But we actually want you to go through this so you can experience what we went through Because I know I just some you know, I certainly want but it's a lot of people that saying All right now you see what the fuck we was talking about Maybe now it's now it'll be a problem how we talked about the It's very corny but this is a lot of people Just finish with with the um opioid crisis right yeah when that shit was fucking up the hood Nobody gave a fuck until it started to affect them out there This could be a repeat like yo, they've been doing this to us for how long y'all didn't really rock Now that is happening out there now y'all see maybe y'all will do something now earlier We were talking about the reason why I said that because early we were talking about the whole guy that you know We were saying the black panthers took the flag and all that shit right yeah the guy you interviewed Yeah, yeah, y'all should check out his interview. Yeah one of the one of A video that I saw was a black panther man but saying that We are worrying about black people. We're worrying about us. We still got internal things to deal with we're not worried about What's going on a lot of us to Hispanic people were not on our sides and helping us and People are with voices are saying these things and to me. I don't agree I was like from a humanitarian standpoint like somebody's getting killed But then people with voices are saying that yeah like yeah, yeah, y'all got to go through that This is what we've been going through for so many years police be coming up killing us in our hood None of you guys came up and and defended any of that so I understand what I'm just Rung Moss at the house. I think it's the wrong analysis you can't Get free if other people are unfree you just can't you know Whether ice is marching into the doors of white people brown people black people whatever if ice is operating like a Like a militia Then we're all gonna be fucked by that. That's my thing I ain't trying to get into the all of the race shit about it when I'm again My original statement is how I'm feeling toward hip hop. Yeah And the hip hop that I know Was kind of birthed off of standing against the governing body and bullshit that they were on the power against us though No, but see the hip hop that you talking about was was there was against the government doing that to us Ice I don't see how you could be a black person watching was going on and feel safe or feel or feel or feel or feel exempt They haven't said for the longest we are in agreement. We agree in which you you just talk about the community Outcry and I'm telling you that the reason that the communities outcry is not as loud is because they are looking at it like I don't give a fuck about what's going on with them and I Disagree with it. Yeah, we clear I'm just adding another piece to this and I'm saying that might be true But I also think there's a declining political consciousness is happening absolutely to your decade the decade I mean, I think about these things getting money Yeah, and I don't want to and that's what I'm going with it because I don't want to also don't want to romanticize the 80s and 90s because There were a lot of artists and we're talking about that shit, right But there were enough that were and hip hop to your point was birthed out of like Anti-establishment. We're going to fight the power literally puppy. You're gonna fight the power But then at some point is we want to get rich we want to be Donald Trump at some point my president is black He's like, okay, so we're fighting the White House fuck around a Reagan fuck George Bush fuck these people but now We're part of the infrastructure now. We want to be part of the establishment instead of fighting it And I think our aspirations have changed a little bit So I think that's what we need the political awareness and political education and we need artists to come back They actually know take that back the artists are there. We need to we need to support and invest in the artist there you go Who telling that? My man just got picked up bro his sister called me yesterday a nigga that I know you know I'm you you've seen him He being the strip clubs a lot a lot in New Jersey like he's like a damn their VIP in the strip clubs in New Jersey They picked him up on January 3rd. He's in a state pen of tension. Jesus Indiana He's black so for the black people that think it's not our fight my nigga. They not going stop at his panic They're gonna start fucking with train the dad Indians and Panamanians and guy in these people is it's black And he's doing it in our city. They're not doing it in Texas. They're not doing it As a black person it should be more frightening. I agree. I agree that it's happening to white people Yes, yeah, they don't give a fuck about this. I don't know how I KKK militia type shit I this shit is right now some shit talking about some American citizen should be prepared to have to show identification Yes to prove your recidits. Yes. Yeah, y'all's hip hop is pussy That's what I got for y'all y'all's hip hop is scared timid afraid Down complicit Just a bunch of fucking bombs, but you want to fight from music rights and not no human rights You niggas are fucking discuss that's real. Yeah, the y'all are disgusting You want to pop out to sell some shit, but when your voice can actually matter for some Uh, it's scary. They scary. I thought the temple was with a forfeited games or not came out the Did they they reschedule one of them games? Yeah, I think it was violence, but not for how that The potential is how they felt it's how they felt yo we are sticktards thumb is with what's going on out here with the protest And they killing people we don't feel good. We can't play a game Can't play a game. Yeah, they asked Anthony it was just the Anthony it was interview afterward No, they um he was getting a little bit of flak for it Um, I'm not gonna be hard on Anthony Edwards on this because I just don't think he knows But they sort of asked him kind of how he's making sense of everything and he was like I don't have social media I don't I don't follow it up You know, I heard a little bit about what's going on kind of knows going on my prayers to everybody Right, it was kind of the great answer. It's not about answer great answer. Well, no, I don't I never say prayers to everybody when there's a war going on Can you imagine like it prays to everybody's not the right answer, but I don't think he meant Like prayers to ice and prayers to the vikki. Yeah, I'm gonna get I'm gonna read him in the most generous light But my reason I'm saying that it's an Anthony Edwards is a budding with not complete Full-fledged NBA superstar, right? Um, and your agency management and the league Almost always encourage you to have nothing to say the blue proofing NBA superstar. It's a not safe. They say Right, and so again, I'm sorry as fans we got a demand more because it's easy to say why doesn't Anthony It was either no more or say more and I of course I would say hey read more no more say more sure he should But we also have to demand that as consumers as it has to be a demand for that You know, I mean when black lives matter was happening Chris Paul and mellow and LeBron them stood up There wasn't demand for it, but they were to put their thumb on a scale because they are the superstars And they could what you gonna do to all of them so they were already established. I'm saying they were the same way they were the anchors of the NBA this 24-year-old kid. I think it's a little different. I'm saying something. I'm agreeing with you I just think it was different. Yeah, that's what they could put their thumb on the scale and say because you can't do shit to the biggest names in the league So I don't expect Anthony Edwards to stand on an island by himself I need the players to come together and And speak on a speciality ones who have the most power But I also need we as fans have to demand something else to give to make it safe and to give them permission to be able to be courageous People always need permission to be courageous and we have to give them that as fans my sense of the league. We want that shit San innovation for not playing the game in Minnesota Like it just dawned on me the other day just how quiet all this shit is Yeah, like I was just going on about my business But then I'm watching the news and then somebody was like yo the sports and the NFL's not speaking Why don't we make me NFL to speak up then we have the sports if Greg pop a bitch had didn't have to worry about his health He would be on a 79 hour tie read right now Where is that bro? You know what another thing I just thought I think they saw Go put a mic in front of Joe mazula. No, yo, you know what I thought I look at that a lot of motherfuckers Our in agreement with somebody No, people are down. Yeah, people are down people. Yo, people are down people who can listen people can vote it voted for this People a lot of people to your point don't really care and that's cool in the real world maybe but hip-hop Ew see I'm yeah, that's a lot of people down, but now that you're saying I'm looking at it that way too I just took it as a lot of motherfuckers is scary. I want to say nothing and piss off something and fuck up my money Like I remember I told you the story before um I one of my homies have played for your team and when the captain shit happened It was like yo, why you ain't saying it he's like all right cool. I say something now. I lose this and I got extra money People dependent on me. I just I can't risk it I think a lot of these niggas is scared to come out and say something they might fill it And home talking to the people's but they know if I go take a stance Well, then let's never have a talk about freedom then because what does it mean to you to me and me is no fear So a lot of these niggas were to mean that's the exact definition of it Doesn't help that all the major corporations Amazons and Facebook's and all that we're standing behind dude, so There's a lot of people in media whether it's sports or whatever that are worried about losing their next check from Whoever may be because they were standing behind and so you're afraid them take a lot of slaves wouldn't leave if they was eating good I also read a tweet recently and it was after this and I can't I'm paraphrase and I can't remember who to attribute it to But it's something like that's what he would human beings look for a way to be cruel and have it be acceptable to other human beings And that's fucked up. Yeah, so you divide right you divide and you take away. Oh, that's just illegal. Right You get a chance. Oh, that's not in human. It's not a man or a woman. That's in illegal They should they did to us, bro Yo black people they can't feel pain. They don't have no souls. Niggas doing dentistry and OBGYN shit with no anesthesia Because they found a way to separate us from humans Word, mm-hmm, and that's what they doing today It's how it always start calling them illegals and they take away the humanistic perspective About criminalized illegal Yeah, yeah, yeah You start off with those who society look down on And in society will look at you as almost like you're doing us a favor Yeah, it will empower you to do more and then your true Cars come out into marks point you can see very clearly the agenda when the states that have the highest Illegal immigrant populations at least two of the top three are Texas and Florida and there's none of the shit That's not an anything whereas Minnesota has a comparatively small number of illegal immigrants and it's fucking warfare in the streets Exactly. This is not what they're saying it is. This is Intimidation and warfare. It's a war of swing states black states democratic led cities This is a political strategy. Yeah, masquerading as an as a yes And and human life is used as being used as some negotiation tactics Like I don't want to hear Trump come forward with me and Tim Walt's had a good conversation Well, are you crazy or are you missing something? Like I don't want to turn the TV on and see that white lady. I go what's the name? No, no, no, whatever name is every time she get on the I get pissed So every time she show a face you get pissed up there and no and no crazy shit us I look so I'm arguing with my niggas like I got a bunch of friends that are mega Like proud and I'm arguing with them and I'm sending him the Christie Nomship because now they just pulling back every lie She's ever told since third grade and it's like yo you support her, huh? You support her, huh? You support and I'm just throwing the shit out there and they are really making excuses my nigga A lot of these niggas double down no care You'll find a hard to have for it. I don't have friends with a man, but do you yes? Yeah, very is it compromising your friends? Like you think their friends should go to end yeah, I close enough some of them in this some of We've been in the trenches so long that I can't in the friendships, but some of them have somebody's just ending already Shibby are cool Because it's not so weird that they're be families issues ahead because This is okay every other week. You know, do you see what so it's like a little vice-duce? Yeah, wow Like this shit is real bro. I think it's tough humanity issue more than an ethnic issue, but It's crazy Yeah, like he just happened to be the most pissed at him So Minneapolis has to unfortunately fucking go through this because he's power tripping. Yeah, but He would want to do it to California, but he can California's to import Yeah, right California's to a port. He can't just go up there and start going crazy And this is a certain large Chugging California this Go ahead Yeah That's the big reason Oh Yeah I think about that Only shit is just fucking Interesting thing I had every problem in the world with what the Biden administration was doing with migrants And I have every problem in the world with what the Trump administration is doing with migrants doing to them and bro Yeah, it's it's night and day. It was bad under Obama be clear Obama deported more more fucking migrants than any president in history And that this is what this is one of arguments they're making and I said fam you have not seen even during the Obama administration one person's rights being just totally stripped from them and fuck And I fuck I'm sure it happened It's not wide stream media to where they're a pilot I mean making excuses for it and then it's carried over it's carried over now into green car holders and American citizens right to be environment Yeah, this is the next level. Like this some other ship It's not funny when they get scary I think about people who just might have his panic last names that were born in America But he being violated they being slammed on the ground talk to they don't even talk to you in a common man No, get the fuck out your car shut the fuck up like that's how they that's how they walking up Talking to people like they homeless You know I didn't want y'all to know how to know But anyway, but nah bro. It's just it's just a different thing that we haven't seen we but we have seen it Yeah, we've seen it. We've seen it being conducted against us. Yeah, we've seen it Worst with us down with this shit for some fucking tax breaks and cheaper gas You know the fucking the other shit is disgusting glad I'm glad I'm glad I'm that stand another R-word Yeah, yeah, another R-word repulsive no What you're not retired so glad I'm Slig of everything In Minnesota and fucking I do have to do with it rich That's the point your money don't make you exempt nigga my driver's African my Clean ladies that my my staff is like oh, yeah, yeah rough I'm saying is people in that have been in my life for over 10 years like that are important to me And that I love that are coming to me with stresses about their whole family and it's like You can do about it Because it's sick you got to fill for them. This is sick Mm-hmm. Don't we as hip hop niggas? Joe as a hip hop artist when you look back on your career Do you are there moments where you wish you had said more political stuff or been more outspoken No, no, I was outspoken for where I was as a 20 year old which was In in virtually yeah, focus on me. I hadn't gotten to that's why I'm not that's why I don't vibe with your Anthony Edwards takes so much like the ASAP Rocky shit part of my beef with him was done put a mic in front of him And hey, how do you feel about these very important political? It's like some of these people Anthony Edwards has put his foot in his mouth before and I'm sure he's been instructed by yeah people to hey Play safe. Play safe. Keep it. Sure. I say Say something so at 20 same for me 21 22 23 24 25 all of that same for me. I didn't start saying my dad used to always say My whole life whole family would laugh at him now. I understand his pain He would say one day you'll learn that in America It always has to do with race always Me everybody. I shut up nigga. Wiping was cool. Shut up. You know last nigga yada yada yada yada It wasn't too later in my 30s that I started to really assess the functionality of America And yet yeah And he kind of right and I would have affected me see for me as money and huh see for me as money. It's both We know I think I think as you got money. Don't go hand in hand. It's always no it's always I'm I think I think they are Distant cousins, but I think it's always a money play like even in all of the tyranny It's always a money play behind it like it's always something that's leading to somebody gonna monopolize all for these actions Whether we take in this land in the name of Racism we taking this land because we look at these people less than they don't look it They want the money they want the land so that that's just they means of getting the money Hey, I was gonna say those two things connect. There's a great. They connect There's a great book that everyone should read at some point in their life, but black marks Can we get the name of it black marks is them. Thanks more um thanks, doctor Mark By Cedric Robinson finally the name of a book. Do you have it? Elke Bobby's oh we do we do Elke Bobby's calm. That's it, but you can get it for free online PDF. I don't I don't I don't know the people reading it. I'm not saying you were saying it to the world But people their assholes in the world don't think I'm doing this is a plug and I make like a nickel on a book a book like that But anyway, this idea I'll be real fast as I did racial capitalism is important because I think that's what both y'all are talking about because There's always a debate of is it racism or is it economics? But the theory racial capitalism of To put make it really short is that all capitalism is racial capitalism and that whenever you have capitalism capitalism thrives Not just from having a ruling class and a working class or bourgeois and proletariat But it also works through the racialization of a group of people. So in other words It's not just that you have people who out most of the money and the resources and the means of production is that you have to then create a race of people To justify not giving them shit, right? So the differences between black and white people aren't not real The biologically there's no difference between You know isin poe or whatever right like biologically we're all the same, but we create racial categories Oh You You can't keep being Especially officially ice because that sounds like real government sounds like and you when you You a cop Do you get tweets? Yeah He would look people like I said get out the NBI's too I enough got My No, man, did he do it? Yes Fuck and discuss me if you can if you think I'm talking about you and I am Anyway You what you said that shit. I'm think like Somebody use it at least put a song out addressing something If they not even if they not industry smart like somebody say You know what funny Am I am I hip-hop talking that I'm doing To be clear. I don't have to go back to the 80s for this Why? Yeah, I'm just thinking as you We were in if we were in you could pick a error pick a error the 90s The mixtape error would have addressed this Top to bottom by now With a punchline in real time Something would be letting you know that hip-hop is aware and this is how we feel about it as old you ain't got to give a fuck But to just be silent on the matter as old and see what you're seeing on TV going business as usual type shit I don't I don't see it you niggas discussed me you're filthy fucking like I'm trying about your freedom record Vic messages put out some bars That's what I mean I'm not saying you know, but I'm just digged in on it on social media and on the wax Yeah, he gonna fucking get on his social media fucking with shirtless eating a pair To tell you about what the fuck is going on and they got and they got R's she got more arges in the low bit Yeah, that's it This week oh he go to the arches. I think I know you eat orange pills too. I know you stole his sweat Yeah, who did the first 10 years older than Vic Mence a bro stop playing. So you been eating orange Yeah, he rep that shit Look, Vic a go full of arms out giving low speeds So little little queer meat he's killing it. He been body and shit. He been killing it still loose The way hip-hop tried to get on Caledass for being quiet. Yeah. Oh good point. Get the fuck out of here. Go point Ponds and push these anyway, it's done. He'll pull it. I get too mad. Yeah, let her ratio's profits Anyway, it was next. Hmm. It was next. Well, press legal matter Chad Sous for a Diddy Yeah, yeah All nigga how many Louis runways we gonna let him on At some point yeah dog We got to deal with it. It was a little odd. It was a million dollars in royalties Which doesn't sound like a large percentage of probably what he would have been owed for Is this from the first album? Oh, okay, that's my understanding. It was just from one album from one album Yeah, there was some something about some merch and shit in there too But maybe it was all related to the to the first nerd album, which is a cult classic. I don't even have Get that nigga his million dollars before it even makes the papers Unless you feel like he isn't old it But even if he ain't get a nigga's million. Yeah, he said oh actually is from the tw- so it says The 2017 album no one ever really dies Okay, second though, but a very specific but it's still from a very specific project Yeah, merchant and other stuff from that It's all that it's made public though. Yeah, that's what I'm saying Man, what y'all think about what he put in a lawsuit was here I'm reading this from what's this complex uh He'll go who in the suit refers to his role in the Neptune's partnership as the principal composer arranger multi instrumentalist and producer responsible for the programming instrumentation and overall sound design basically saying All the shit, well he went for it. He was also said for real was more so just the visible I think that that's a fair assessment from what I've seen from the little behind-the-scenes videos and then making beats together and all that shit is Any from your test Neptune's versus for all Williams as producers for else still amazing and dope and killing it, but Neptune's a different monster entirely the heart of Hugo's issues with for real deals from any RD music LLC a company they formed in 2014 Hugo suit contain excuse me Hugo suit claims that it was for real sole responsibility to provide information about income expenses royalties and other financial issues It sounds like a mistake that sounds like a big mistake sound like trust under the terms of the company Yeah, under the terms of the company William gets Williams gets half the money from touring and other income While Hugo and Haley each get 25% The merchandising and trademark income is divided equally amongst the three members And he's been trying since 2021 to get the financial records To know how to have luck. Oh, that's nasty. That's nasty. Yeah, this is very That mean what I mean if I've exhausted every other We go I'm gonna have to I gotta sue you to get to get access to these or records and I have to sue me at least feels I don't know who's right who's wrong, but I can't imagine he didn't try some behind-the-scenes, you know Everything else but this yeah, I don't want to get to this point. Let's let's let's fix this shit. I hate it I hate seeing this stuff. I would like to see them make music purely That's never gonna happen What's a lawsuit is this is the boy Wow, this is the part I hate about where we are as a hip-hop community They just could be at each other's ropes Thanks, I really want to slap actually that game 50 remits No They're gonna kill each other maybe maybe Chad been low for how many years? We just talked about the suit shit he been going for they got back together for a little bit I forgot what year that was but there was a period of time where they were back making music together again And then that was what uh that was way before the Louis Vuitton's year right That before Virgil died Yes, yes, yes, money. No, I don't think it was that one This was in the 2020s I'm pretty sure listen. I have a whole another theory that Has to do with this topic, but Spondy for us an alien The same way they knew an old Gucci is a new and old forever have y'all looked at for real recently. Yes, and it is out of you I don't think that's a human Cyborg You can go Get mad at her it's so right. I'm praying for you the last the last slide of that wealth shit that I was up Readin early the last one with says uh Two billion two billion plus the last final sentence is This isn't this isn't alternative reality altogether. Oh sure. Yeah And I think that that's where a lot of people are yeah and On podcast and these news shows and these y'all mean we're not we don't be there So that's that that's the variable that's often missing from some of these conversations is A lot of these people are living in Completely different reality bro. I don't think that numbers that hard one makes three sometimes and that three is correct math Yeah, uh back to whatever they said about uh the ship being asymmetric like it was a lot of shit I don't think the numbers that high Some of these motherfuckers really do live in a I remember people was mad at Wayne for certain comments he made Mayweather certain comments they made but these niggas living in a different world What they don't even it's not an excuse be clear. I'm not excusing it but They really I think these niggas be so out of touch because they live in a different reality They don't even know what the fuck is going on over here yet I'm a grandmother and I the alternate reality shit. That's why when we had some of these JZ arguments and all of that I'd be like yo families. It's like a giant the vision The his analogy with the giant and yo dog of you five foot five You can only see a certain thing and they get that seven foot can see way farther than you you just ain't get up there yet So you don't even understand what they saying now to the Wayne and and and Floyd shit I kind of disagree because you grew up in the trenches You wasn't born rich my nigga so you know the the the plight of the ghetto still You know i mean like you babies your father nigga like y'all been in the trenches legitimately in the trenches So you can't just discount that shit once you get some money Floyd number's poor your father was in the street your uncles in the street Y'all grew up a certain type of way we're not going to just get a certain level of money and just discounted this shit exists I'm not saying I'm not saying that you discounted that it exists I'm just saying you're so far removed that you don't even notice it you don't see it Your your world exists up here You don't even see what's going on at the ground level anymore So you're missing it I think if once your poor somebody pull your coat tells us hey old dog look at what's happening You'll see it a little differently but because of what your your view you don't see it And I just want to say for real did respond to this lawsuit um say ha ha Uh They put a statement out says the lawsuit is foul the lawsuit filed is premature As they may not even be a dispute between the parties If the accounting review the determines that money is old the appropriate party will pay it That sounds like you know You got me i'm gonna give you money money Yeah, I'm gonna get your money money. Why we do it all this Is it open to test that town for real come off today like if somebody came in with this Yeah, you're not bothering me about this aren't you a million like I This little or I'll get to it and I just ain't got to it And yeah, that million might mean I locked the you hey Chad do me a favor. I'll get to this in 2039 all right go find yourself somewhere comfy to sit on and watch these runway shows Got some brand new clips Clips records. I'm premier You ain't watch with some call it yeah did you what this shit on sentry I'm hooked I'm sorry by man proud of that on him and hat It's a Yo niggas would be out here spending $14 million on three thousand square feet Niggas just out here got money like yo what the fuck I do that a lot when I'm home to alone 60 million that you lost the bid nigger bit 58 million dollars 15 day closing and loss Yeah, that's a different world No, 58 mil cash and you lost he hardly cursed Know to me cash No, they wanted 60 and then they could be 58 cash or some shit and they was like no Yeah And then they got a buyer I like yo dog well if it makes sense Sure, but if my number 60 then I'm but then I'm looking 60 If you don't have 60 then Oh, they got it he just had it yeah And I'm doing cash come on when you come on now to this level yeah, I asked you for 60. I want 60 We all have it. Yeah, you have it. I'm not on his desk. This is what is it better of room. Yeah, tug of war at this point Yeah, no, they 60 I'm a guazillion there. I want to pay 55 And that's how big two million dollars a week is wipe the ass away. I'm gonna get this shit Well, I ain't gonna front of my rapper right now. I'll be trying to go get a chat before a bunch of what is Shaddo right now a bundle hole Pictures of studio shit, so he's doing something I don't know what budget on that nigger All right It's a few producers I'd be thinking it might be for the dream wonder them out. That's not true If you know what the play of the game was they was they were beating them handily When my man did win I'm about to tell you they were up 31 to 10 it was 31 10 and then the dude did the dumb shit with the uh taunt Yeah, very next play. That wasn't 31 10 y'all that was 31 10 no it was never 31 10 That's 31 20. I'm sorry. My fault. I was 31 20 They were about to get the ball back. They had stopped them dude does the stupid taunt and shit gives them the four four Four for 12. Yes, they had to point They gave him a first down Next play puking the cool touchdown and that's what made the game a little bit more interesting that game was not the most interesting game until that point You disagree. I don't disagree before that taunting was the special teams blender LA yeah, yeah, yeah, oh Yeah, I thought Seattle was whipping the ass. Seattle was whipping their ass, y'all it was like I don't know It was a one-sided game. I don't know what game. You know, if there are by almost two tuts And about to get the ball back in the fourth quarter That's not a close but they didn't get the ball back and the other team scored And now it's a one-score game because of the taunt which I thought was not really the fairest of taunting penalties But whatever they called it. No, he was and never he was in a coaches face damn near It was some stupid shit. They was about to fight. Yeah, you see how to do is about the fight on the on his highline I'm saying this it take away that penalty is the fourth quarter We up by two scores and we got the momentum we getting the ball back all our shit that game wasn't tight Seattle looked like a better team. They're out that game. They look like the best team It looked like Matt Stafford was doing some Matt Stafford shit at the end to make it a much better game But Seattle wasn't control that game. Yeah, they were That game go totally different that special team has played never happened and ain't in control of shit But I'm not here to do that. Yeah, I think that's different from Seattle of taunting. Seattle one. Seattle took it They earned it they earned it Couldn't be happier for Sam Donald Dexter Lawrence three 53 touchdowns. He proved this shit JSN like they They did it they did it. I have a list of people that should be sick over that I have a list of people that she's the entire Jets fan. Yeah, you have to deal with him Uh that Patriot Denver game. That was a fucking ugly game. Yeah, it was That was ugly and you want to talk about some dumb shit that going for I mean I get it If you get the tud in that type of Conditions that is game over in the second quarter But when that game ends at 10-7 you are smacking yourself in the face the only thing I didn't like I don't even I'm not mad at them going for it I'm mad at the stupid as played that they call on the four-fim-one. Okay. That was the problem for me Yo dog we down here our defense is kicking ass even if we don't get it they damn there in the end zone Outtale with that you do a roll out bullet Run the ball bro Run the ball like to take the points.
