But whatever they asked me, I did my very best to respond. Telling them she has no information on Jeffrey Epstein and does not recall ever meeting him. We learned a lot. There were a lot of questions that we asked that we, you know, weren't satisfied with the answers that we got. But we will continue to move forward. Committee chair James Comer, ranking member Democrat Robert Garcia told reporters earlier. We should depose the person that is mentioned in the Epstein files almost more than any other person next to Ghislaine Maxwell. And that's Donald Trump. Former President Bill Clinton expected to answer questions tomorrow. As the U.S. and Iran wrap up another round of indirect talks without a deal just before they wrapped, Iranian state television reported Tehran was determined to continue to enrich uranium rejected proposals to transfer it abroad indicating it not willing to meet President Trump demands According to Oman foreign minister the man who was mediating these indirect conversations there was significant progress made and technical details, according to the foreign minister, are going to be discussed next week in Austria. Senate Bill 791 was introduced just days after Democratic Governor Wes Moore signed a law prohibiting state and local law enforcement from deputizing officers for ICE activity. Moore said that municipalities could still work with federal agencies in some capacity, especially when it comes to violent offenders. SB 791 is aimed at eliminating cooperation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from all local jurisdictions in Maryland. A different proposal, Senate Bill 660, would require law enforcement to respond to reports of ICE activity, observe, record what happens on body cameras, and file reports on it. Some Maryland sheriffs gathered at the state capitol on Wednesday to voice opposition to the bills, saying the legislation takes away local autonomy. Tanya J Powers Fox News The mayor of Newark New Jersey blames ICE for a multi crash yesterday Newark Mayor Ross Baraka on social media says U Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents tried to pull over a van The driver sped off, and during the ensuing chase, there was an accident involving several vehicles, including one carrying three children. He says the driver of the van was injured and hospitalized. ICE has not responded or said why the van was being pursued. Mayor Baraka in his post points out, New Jersey state law bans law enforcement from chasing vehicles unless a suspect poses an immediate threat. He writes, ICE has no business engaging in chases at any time, anywhere, but especially in densely populated areas and on roads still being cleared from a significant snowstorm. He was charged with two counts of battery after an assault outside a bar during Mardi Gras, where witnesses say he yelled homophobic slurs and hit multiple people at the bar near the French Quarter.
