Summary

John Solomon analyzes President Trump's State of the Union address, highlighting bold policy proposals on AI, grid security, and border enforcement, while contrasting the Democratic response. The episode features interviews with former DHS Secretary Chad Wolf on space exploration and national security, Congressman Mike Rooley on tariffs and government weaponization, and congressional candidate Keith Gross on housing affordability.

Insights
  • Trump's State of the Union strategically framed 2026 election around patriotism vs. opposition to border security, using a symbolic standing moment that will likely dominate campaign messaging
  • Denaturalization is emerging as an underutilized enforcement tool that could be expanded beyond immigration fraud to include post-entry conduct disqualifying citizenship
  • The Supreme Court's tariff ruling left the door open for alternative legal pathways, signaling the administration can achieve similar outcomes through different statutory authority
  • CIA's retraction of 19 politically-biased intelligence reports signals a broader reckoning with institutional weaponization and woke analytical standards in intelligence community
  • Housing affordability remains a critical 2024 coalition issue, with Trump administration preparing major initiatives comparable to Eisenhower-era programs

Hey folks, everybody knows that blood pressure is a silent killer. Usually you don't find out about it until you have a problem. I've been suffering it for years. I've had high blood pressure since I was a young man and I'm on medicine, but I'm always looking for that extra edge to help me keep it down beyond what my pills allow it to do. And I found it with my good friends at 120 Life. 120 Life is an incredible super fruit drink. I love it. It tastes great. Sometimes I mix it with a little bubbly soda and give it a different taste, but its ingredients help support healthy blood pressure. It's not a pill, not a stimulant, not some trendy wellness gimmick. It's made from a blend of super fruit juices. Refreshing, not chocolate, not medicinal, easy to make part of your daily routine. I take it every night before bed, which matters because consistency is everything. I started taking 120life.com about three, four months ago. I started losing blood pressure. It was going down. I went down about six to seven points on my bottom number, which is the heart of the two numbers to reduce. I just checked in with my doctor, my best numbers on blood pressure in a very long time. Ghost bed doesn't build mattresses like furniture. They build engineered sleep systems. Their beds are serious health equipment. Beds designed for relief and recovery. Not looks, not fluff. Your body should be healing while you sleep, not fighting for comfort. And I noticed the difference right away when I got my GhostBed. I didn't wake up stiff. I didn't toss and turn. I didn't sleep hot. In fact, the temperature adjusted to my body. I didn't think that was possible, but it did. I didn't even have to reach for a pain reliever because I was already relaxed. Now, when you have those conditions, it's not aging. It could very well be that your mattress is talking to you. And here's another thing I love about GhostBed. You get 101 nights to try it at home. Happy Wednesday, the day after the State of the Union address. I gave a lot of analysis on TV last night and all morning, so I won't bore you with it too much, but I want to give you one thought. When President Trump gave that speech last night, he set the fulcrum for the 2026 election debate. You're either a patriot who believes in a secure border, in voter ID, in applauding for young girls who survive a horrific traffic accident by an illegal alien. You applaud for the men who served in the army that did heroic things. You applaud for the National Guardsmen who were shot by an illegal alien in the country. Or you don't. If you're one of the first, you're a patriot. If you're one of the second, you're a patriot. You don't seem to like America or the values that Americans stand for. And President Trump made it clear in one incredible moment that I'm certain will be played over and over and over again. in campaign ads for the next six months into the 2026 election. Tell me, if you believe that you put American citizens before illegal aliens, stand up. All the people on the Republican side of the aisle stood up. All the people on the Democrat side did not. That image that someone would put an illegal alien before an American citizen as a government priority will live on in infamy for the Democrats and for opportunity for Republicans, I think. It was an epic moment. And the whole speech had a framework to it, the prosecution of the insanity of Democrats. And then Democrats got their incredible moment to respond, right? They picked one of the new faces of the Democratic Party, the governor of Virginia Spanberger. And she gave a whole speech on affordability without offering a single idea to make life more affordable. The whole speech was essentially, Donald Trump is a bad guy. And you were stupid to elect him. And now we're all being punished and shame on you. And I, Democrats believe in affordability. And here is what Governor Spanberger didn't tell you. Right now, her party, the Democratic Party of Virginia, is working on proposals to markedly increase the taxes on the Virginians. Now, it hasn't passed yet, in fairness, but it's on the table. It's getting a lot of push through the legislature. And it's hard to make an argument that you're affordable when you're going to raise people's taxes. It's hard to make the idea that you're a viable alternative to Donald Trump when you don't put any ideas on the table like President Trump did during his speech. What ideas did he put on his speech? Well, a new idea for grids so that AI manufacturers who build data centers build their own grids and save you and I, the rate payers on electrical utilities, money. He put $1,000 federal subsidy for 401k investments. So if you put some 401k in, the government might match it with $1,000 to help your retirement. There were many other ideas like that. Delilah's law to outlaw any illegal alien and anyone who doesn't speak English from getting a commercial driver's truck license or truck driver's license. We've seen those horrific crashes in Florida, Indiana, many places. Those are big ideas. The Democrats had none. They had pouts. They had protests. They had pandering, but no big ideas. All right. I want to get to two big stories. One of them is a breaker. We just broke it a few minutes ago. The FBI is confirming that it sees the phone records of its future director, Cash Patel, and the future White House Chief of Staff, Susie Wiles, back when they were private citizens in 23. the latest in a long dragnet of phone surveillance and spying for things that ultimately didn't result in any criminal investigation. Kach Patel wasn't charged. Susie Weil wasn't charged. Officials telling just the news that these phone record seizures were in connection with the Mar-a-Lago investigation, the classified documents case. Now, obviously, at the end of the day, they did nothing wrong. But we now know, we now have proof that those phone seizures occurred. Get the latest over at justthenews.com. And that, by the way, we'll get more on that in the days ahead. There's going to be more things like this. There was a surveillance state going on against anyone involving Donald Trump, and we just need to get rid of it. All right. So here is the second thing I want to talk about. It's a story we broke this morning. Everybody's talking about it. And it's important. After a three-year legal fight, we obtained the internal communications of Fulton County District Attorney Fannie Willis and all that she was talking about with the Biden Justice Department, the Biden White House, and the January 6th Democrat committee in her effort to build the case. And what we know is that she plotted closely with Biden, DOJ, Biden White House and the January 6th Democrats to bring a case that was going to be very similar to Jack Smith's federal case, basically creating double jeopardy for doubly jeopardizing Donald Trump and his fellow defendants in Georgia. They were going to face the same charges in multiple places, also double draining their legal resources or attention, their reputational resources. and it's really significant coordination, really significant coordination, like going to the White House and getting Joe Biden to waive President Trump's executive privilege claims for a state prosecution, something I don't think has ever been done before that I can find. That is a big deal. It's a tremendous weakening of the presidential protections of future presidents. Going to the Biden Justice Department in getting them to give them January 6 materials, getting them to agree under the TUI procedures that federal workers can work on and be witnesses in the state prosecution. And then the January 6 committee giving them their evidence and their ideas and their theories of the case. An all-out democratic assault trying to create a second level of jeopardy, of legal jeopardy for everyone involved. It's a big deal. The story is extraordinary. We're going to have a follow-up story tomorrow. It's a follow-the-money story. The Justice Department had not only gave Fannie Willis cooperation. At the time she's seeking it, there's also an interesting grant. And the story of that tomorrow will open your eyes, I'm pretty, pretty certain. All right, those are the top stories today. Let's get to who we got on the show today. Kicking us off, the former Secretary of Homeland Security, Chad Wolf, now over at AFPI, he's going to give us his thoughts on some of the big ideas Donald Trump put on the table, including for the AI world. That's a really good conversation. We'll have that first. In the second block of the show, we have a great interview that we did earlier this week with Congressman Mike Rooley in Ohio. Great guy. Has a lot of thoughts on tariffs, on where the weaponization of government is. And then we'll finish up with a new candidate for Congress. His name is Keith Gross. He'll introduce himself to us today on the show. Got a great all-around lineup. I hope you're excited about it. Also got so many great partners here. One of them, my good friends at Policy Genius. Hey folks, if you're a homeowner like me in America, you need to listen to this. The FBI has been warning about a type of real estate fraud on the rise called title theft. And your equity is the target, your hard-earned equity. Here's how it works. Criminals forge your signature on a single document, use a fake notary stamp and file it with your local county. And just like that, on record, the bad guys own your home. Now, using your home ownership, they take out loans against your equity and even sell your property, and you won't know about it until a foreclosure or collection notice shows up in the mail a long while afterwards. That's why I've partnered with Home Title Lock, so you can protect your equity and find out today if you're already a victim. Use my promo code JTN at thehometitlelock.com. You'll get a free title history report and a free trial of their million-dollar triple lock protection. That's 24-7 monitoring of your title records, urgent alerts to any changes, and if fraud occurs, God forbid, their U.S.-based restoration team will spend up to a million bucks to fix it. It's a million dollars. Think about that. This is the best way to detect the most important asset in your portfolio, your home. It's always one of our biggest assets. So go to HomeTitleLock.com and use the promo code JTN. That's HomeTitleLock.com, promo code JTN. All right, folks, very excited to have this next guest on. He was watching the extraordinary speech last night that the president gave and detected a lot of really big ideas. We've been talking about this all day on the show. There were some big ideas laid on the ground last night and also leading up to this speech that's going to define the future of American economy, the AI race with China. Joining me now, the former secretary of the Homeland Security Department today, one of the most important people at the America First Policy Institute, Secretary Chad Wolf. Sir, good to have you back on the show. Yeah, thanks for having me. Good to be here. All right. There were a lot of takeaways from yesterday's speech, whether it was a new way of looking at grid security and grid augmentation, which we've been long behind, to winning the war against China with AI. What stood out to you as perhaps some of the most transformative ideas that in that speech? Well, there's a lot to tackle there, right? I think there are really a lot of different highlights there. And I think the one that a lot of folks are talking about, I'll give you one that a lot of folks are talking about, and then one that it's more results-oriented, because I think part of what the State of the Union and President Trump has done so effectively is not only talk about new ideas, but also talk about the ideas that he has executed on, right? And so obviously when he asked members of Congress to stand up if you support that your first order of business should be to protect Americans and only half stood up on the Republican side, I think that's a big problem. And I think it goes to a fundamental misunderstanding – not misunderstanding. There's a fundamental difference between the Republicans and the Democrats on this issue. And I think that gives you the world outlook, and obviously a lot of policy is made from that. I think the other piece is, you know, the president talked about a historic low crime rate, I think, right, in over 120 years. And a number of outlets tried to fact check him on, and they all came up with, okay, well, this is actually accurate. It is true. Yeah. That one was painful, sir. Two very startling, you know, moments of the night. But it was a great speech. It was a long speech, but good. And as you indicated, you know, a lot of ideas. You know, when ideas come out of the State of the Union, unfortunately, a lot of them take Congress to pass. Not all, but some do. And we know that Congress is pretty dysfunctional these days. So we'll see what, if anything, they can pass. But just a remarkable evening. Yeah, it really was. There was just so many moments. You're right. That standing visual probably will be played over and over again for the next year or two, because it literally showed the difference between patriots and hatreds. It's just such a different view of America that was on display there. And that view translates into policy, right? That view translates into what bills do you pass, what do you prioritize, and what do you go after? And so I don't understand how you can stand everyone, almost everyone, I should say, could stand for the gold medal Olympic hockey team, but not stand to just say your first order of business is to protect everyday Americans, not any other foreign nationals, nationals, not anyone else, not big business, not, you know, it's everyday Americans. And so just a startling moment there. Yeah, it really was. It's one that will be remembered for a long time in the annals of State of the Union speeches, I suspect. Now, leading up to this timeframe, there has been some really other big, exciting announcements. One of those is the president's plan for a moon base to get us to Mars and beyond. It's been a long time. You maybe have to go back to the Kennedy administration to find a level of enthusiasm in motion in space exploration. We've had a lot of malays for about a decade or two. It feels like it's really ramping up. How important is the moon base and what does it mean for the future of actually really global security? Yeah, I think it's really important. And I don't know that we've gotten, you know, sort of the attention that it needs. When you talk about, you know, almost a new space race of sorts, right? Because when you think of, you know, GPS satellites, space-based satellites, everything that's happening there, the ability in that race to get back to the moon, to have a durable, scalable, defensive presence on that lunar surface is really important to your national security. And so right now there's a race. There's a race between, unfortunately, China and the United States to get there. And both are making pretty good preparations. and how do you get there quick? Mostly the first one doesn't matter, but how do you scale it? How do you make sure that you're not just the first, but you're also, you're returning there. And again, you have that durable presence on the moon. And if we know if China gets there, we're going to have a number of problems. I don't believe that there will be a good actor, an international actor there. And so everything that's occurring at NASA with the space program should really come under really some scrutiny here to say, are we doing this the best way? The cost that we're doing, is it, again, is it scalable? Are we prioritizing cost, capacity, and cadence, making sure that we not only get there, but we continue to get there time and time again? Really, really important to look at and consider. Yeah, it sure is. There's no doubt about it. You've done some great work at AFPI. It's really the engine of so many important policy formations that are occurring, not only in the Trump administration, quite frankly, down to the states. AFPI is actually helping states develop really smart America first policies. One of the things that I think gets underlooked as a potential tool as we delve into this fraud scandal in Minnesota, or maybe we're going to learn some more about immigration fraud and naturalization fraud, the denaturalization tool. It's a more powerful tool than I think it's been used in recent years. But at this moment, it might be very appeasing to the American public to see someone stripped of a citizenship because they cheated to get there. Tell us what your great policy paper found. Yeah, obviously, the denaturalization process is largely a process that's undertaken by the Department of Justice. And it's usually it's a difficult process, meaning that it's not used very often. I think it's only a couple hundred a year. And it's for, you know, if you if you somehow lied on your immigration application to come into the country. And so whether that that in and of itself is fraud, you're doing that knowingly and the like. And you can take certain actions. Now, historically, you've had to have some pretty egregious, you know, fraud for the for the Department of Justice to take. a denaturalization action against you. But I think the paper, what we're saying here is, you know, maybe this is a tool in the toolbox that needs to be rethought about how we use this. Obviously, the Minnesota is a great example. What's occurred in Minnesota is a great example is if you find individuals up there that not only lied on their application to come into the United States to receive immigration benefits, well, I think that it certainly fits within the current denaturalization process. But I think what we also propose is maybe Congress needs to take a look and maybe we need to have a little bit more authority, or I should say the executive branch have a little bit more authority, is not only you may come in the country legitimately, but you may take a number of actions here post coming in that could perhaps disqualify you for your green card or citizenship. And so perhaps you should be denaturalized because of a certain number of actions that you're taking. So it's not only just did you lie coming in on paperwork and say, you know, you were married when you weren't really married. Not only that, it's also taking a look at the actions of why you're here as well. Your intention. Yeah, your motive. What are you up to? What are you going to do with that false entry? People have raised the question. I mean, there's obviously these questions about Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, and no one's been able to get the file yet. We know what Tom Holman said, which was pretty strong evidence that she was vouching for her brother as a husband when he wasn't. Could someone who was naturalized, like Ilhan Omar, if she did, in fact, allow someone else to come in under false pretenses, could that punishment be for her that she gets denaturalized or is that a stretch under the law? I think you can make the argument for it. It may not be a natural case, right? We may not have seen that before, but I think, again, this will be mostly a legal question is can the statute be interpreted that you could hold that Because I think the American people would say absolutely There needs to be some accountability for that And if denaturalization is not the process well then what is um because if she's going to lie, anyone's going to lie like that, um, to get more of their family members or whoever into the country. Well, then that historically, John, there's just been something that we just sort of bat an eye at and say, Oh, well that's, that's probably not good, but we're really not going to take that on. And President Trump and his administration are saying, no, no, no, we're going to take that on because they know what the majority of Americans know, which is if there's no deterrence in the law, well, then people are going to continue to break it. Yeah, that's a great point. And that's been what was missing, certainly during the Biden years, the deterrence, same thing on weaponization. If no one gets punished for weaponizing law enforcement the first time, they're going to do it a second, third and fourth time. And that deterrence has become so, so important. Sir, for all the great work, because you guys are doing, I think, some of the most important thought leadership in the country right now. What's the best way for everybody to stay in touch with AFPI? And also, you personally, I follow you on Twitter. It's a must-read Twitter or X feed every day. Well, I appreciate that. Just chat at Wolf on X, and then you can go to americafirstpolicy.com. You can see all the experts there, a lot of the policy papers. So if you're interested in healthcare or national security or fraud, some of the issues we talked about, there's a lot of products on that website that you can thumb through. Yeah, it's really amazing. I think about looking into what's happened in the last few months, I'll remind everybody, it wasn't that long ago when AFPI was developing strategies to make sure that we could take control back of our hemisphere and the Venezuelan-Mexican operations of the last six months, a real blueprint or maybe the outcome of what AFPI saw as the security policy of the future in our hemisphere. So I see your fingerprints or the intellectual fingerprints of AFPI in so many of the big things that have happened just in the last few months. And it's really a remarkable organization. Well, I appreciate that. We've been hard at work and we'll continue to be hard at work again, trying to help the Trump administration and support the Trump administration because of those America First policies that they're putting out there. We strongly support those and we'll do everything we can to continue to do so. So important. Now, it's a great resource. And we're lucky every time we get a few minutes with you on this show. Mr. Secretary, great to have you on today. Thanks again for all the insights. All right. Thank you. Appreciate it. Yeah, you as well. All right, folks, don't go anywhere. When we come back, an extraordinary interview with Congressman Mike Rooley of Ohio, what President Trump is doing to connect with real voters, the non-elitists in America will have that. Now, a quick shout out to one of our partners. I've known these guys for a long time. I-F-C-J. They're amazing folks. The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Israel's a hot topic right now, and with many opinions and emotions surrounding it, it can feel hard to know where to get started, right? The Bible tells us, I'll bless those who bless you. That isn't just a comforting promise. It's a clear calling from God. And today, with anti-Semitism, anti-Americanism rising around the world, it's a calling that's more important than we need to speak our moral voices with clarity. When Jewish communities are experiencing more hostility, more threats, more violence than ever. Christians also being eradicated in places like Nigeria and Syria. We all have a powerful opportunity to respond with God's love and to say, hey, you're not alone. That's what my faith teaches me. So when Christians choose to bless Israel, we're not entering a political issue. We're honoring the root of our faith and standing against hatred. So supporting Israel is more than a belief. It's a biblical mandate for those who know the Bible. And by partnering with International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, You can push back against darkness and be a light to God's people. Learn how you can bless Israel and be blessed in return. Visit ifcj.org today. That's ifcj.org today. Be the blessing, live the world, answer the call, make a difference. Yep, that's right. Affordability is doing much better, as is the great state of Ohio. Always. It's such a great well-run state. Joining us, one of its great congressmen, Mike Hurley. Congressman, great to have you back on the show. Great to be back, John. Thank you. I love the work you do in helping Americans understand the last years. I think everybody implicitly realizes when they get to the dinner table, things are a little bit better. The gas bill was a little less. The food bill is a little less. Prescription drugs, a lot less. But you've been tracking this. I think real wages, I think you showed a nearly fourteen hundred dollar improvement, way outpacing inflation. That's a pretty impressive record for the first year of a presidency. You're spot on. And it's just going to keep getting better. You know, I've been you know, we had an in-district week this week. So I think I've had over 23 stops. And what we're noticing, some of the people that were doing the early tax returns, they noticed that their tax return is anywhere between like some of the lower ones are 10 to 15 percent above last year. I've had a couple of my constituents tell me that they're 40, 50 percent over last year's returns. That's what we want. We want you to keep the money that you earned all year round. You know, no one spends your money better than you, especially the worst culprit is the federal government. You know, they really are not your friend as far as spending your money. We want to keep that in your pocket. And we want to make sure that the products that you're buying every day stay cheap, whether it's eggs, whether it's natural gas or gasoline for your fuel tank, or whether it's milk and bread and butter. We want to make sure you keep as much of that money as humanly possible. Yeah, so important. Also, keeping and attracting jobs, which has been a big part of the Trump administration's first year in office. the tariffs, one of those incentive programs that moved foreign nations towards the United States, investments towards here, even the playing field. Today, the Supreme Court shut down President Trump's ability to impose those tariffs, but only under one law. It seemed to me like the chief justice and the dissenting justices were putting a big road map out there saying, if you just find a law that does let you impose tariffs, we're going to be okay with it. How do you look at today's building? Was it a closed door with an open window? You know, I was disappointed at it. You know, I'm not going to lie. You know, when I was on the road, when I heard the news and I wasn't thrilled because I think the terrorists are actually working. I do think that when you get into the nitty gritty, the Supreme Court did leave the door open. I think they said to the president, not this path. Give us a better path that we would like to put this through. I think, you know, the public that are anti-terrorist need to understand something. 80 percent of the world has tariffs on American products going to them. And for like the last 50 years, all the presidents, Democrats and Republicans alike, they said, don't worry about we'll just pay whatever you want. But those days are over. We need a level playing field. You know, you hear the Democrats say that all the time. You know, no one's above the law. Let's have everyone equal. Well, why would you want to support foreign countries? Why would you want to celebrate taking Joe Bag of Donuts jobs away and sending them to Mexico or China or Indonesia or Africa? Why would you want to do that when you could keep these jobs right here? And the way we have to do it is with tariffs. You know, we are the standard for the American worker, not only that, the world worker. We want to make sure that you have a very safe work environment to the highest standard. And we want you to have pride in your work like it used to be in the 1950s, where a hard day's work and you were proud of the product that you produced. You know, it was always Germany and the United States produced the best product, whether it was a vacuum cleaner, whether it was a car, whether it was clothing, whatever type of industry you could imagine. We were always known for our quality. So let's get back to that. And that's what tariffs helped. Yeah, they definitely did. And the trillions of dollars of investment they attracted inbound already in the first year are a legacy of them. It seems to me that the president's already back on route number two to get this done. There are other laws where Congress did transfer the authority for tariffs, and it seems like he'll go that route. Is there a will in Congress? Do you think there's enough votes between Republicans in the House and Senate to back up some of these tariffs for the president so that the progress continues unabated and the courts have less doubt about what Congress's intention is? I think the majority of our caucus, I would say 90 to 95 percent of our caucus is right there with you. You know, we only really have a two vote majority, you know, and, you know, Congressman Massey. You know, we never know where he's going to fall. But then you only have one other vote. So we have to really I think with terrorists, I don't think you have to worry about the right side of our conference as you do the moderates. You know, some of those New York Republicans might be a little bit nervous on supporting the president with tariffs. we're going to have to really put our pencils down on the paper and work hard. You know what else I'm thinking, too? Some of these moderate districts that we think we could take away from the Democrats. I think some of those Democrats out there, you better realize something. If you're going to protect the blue collar worker, you better get on board with these terrorists because that's all it does. It supports blue collar jobs, period. Yeah, no doubt about it. And that's a constituency that the Democratic Party keeps walking further and further away from Republicans really reaching out to working class families in ways that really has changed the political dynamic in America in a big way. I want to turn to one of the stories we broke here at Just the News this morning. the CIA Director John Ratcliffe, one of your former colleagues in the Congress, retracting in part or whole 19 intelligence reports going all the way back to the Obama era because they were politically biased. They were citing woke sources, not intelligence, not actionable intelligence, and they didn't meet the analytic tradecraft requirements for an analytical product. One of those reports, Justin News obtained, was allowed to make public because it was declassified. It was a report that basically suggested that women who choose a life of a traditional motherhood not going into the workforce there but working at home with their children might somehow pose an extremist threat in the future The idea that these got retracted in mass seems like a pretty big rebuke to the woke era of the CIA You know, John, I think this is such a moment, and I am so glad that he did this, because I want your listeners and your viewers to think back in their own mind's eye. You know, I'm a devout, I'm a third degree, Knights of Columbus, I'm a practicing Catholic, and we all remember the Obama administration targeting Catholics. They called us radical Catholics. They put FBI agents in our parking lots of mass. I mean, you know, being a proud Catholic, we're the Church of Peter. Actually, the number one disciple built our church in the U.S. government. Think about what I'm saying to you. They were monitoring us as terrorists. And you only have to go back another couple of years and look at what they did to all my good friends. I love going to tea party rallies. I remember, you know, if you would leave a tea party rally, it would be the cleanest scene you've ever could imagine. We left those those campgrounds better than we found them. And what did they do? What did they do? They did big brother Orwellian crap and they spied on us. Whether you were a tea party, whether you were a Catholic, this is what the opposition does. They are evil as far as surveillance goes. You know what it leads to, it leads to Prime Minister Trudeau when you have truck drivers and farmers that bring their equipment into the Capitol to peacefully protest and they seize your bank records. That's what Orwellian government looks like. When you rely on the government from cradle to grave like the Democrats do, and we're going to call them out for it because this is what they want. They want to replace God with government. They want to spy on you for everything unless you act right. And if You're going to target mothers? Are you serious? You're going to say that mothers that want to stay home and have a beautiful family, that there are terrorists? I think not. Bravo for this correction. This is a moment in time that we should all take note and put an exclamation point on it. Yeah, I think that was part of it. I have a funny feeling more of these are coming down the pike. I think the director, Radcliffe, is not done, nor is D&I Tulsi Gavin. I think more explosive revelations ahead. But before we let you go, we have a short attention span in politics, particularly in Washington, but not the Trump administration when it comes to East Palestine, Ohio, and that incredible train wreck, the one that Joe Biden didn't want to respond to, but Republicans did. Another $10 million in economic development going yesterday. What does that mean to the people of Ohio, to the victims still trying to get their lives back and their livelihoods back in that community, a resilient community, by the way? It was a pretty big moment yesterday. Well, it's the very first time I ever met the president. I was a state senator and he came to the site and it was just electric. And for some reason, the Biden administration, they would not even want to take a look at it. It took J.D. Vance to come there and put the stick in the creek and show all the poisonous that was in our waterways. The Biden administration just ran from them. I don't know if he thinks that we're deplorables or what. I'm about 10 to 15 miles outside of ground zero. So for me, it was very, very personal. and this $10 million that came yesterday came out of left field. Nobody in the town really expected it. And the president was so gracious. He says he knows we're on the path of recovery. You know, when you go to East Palestine now, it all depends on who you talk to. I would say 70% are really looking forward to just having a normal life again. You know, we have the health stations and we're monitoring everyone's health and making sure that if any cancers pop up, you know, a lot of us were at ground zero without protection, including myself. So there is always a little bit of a fear of that. But I think this is just a showing of the president and his entire administration that you're not forgotten. The president's going to stay with us the entire time. This $10 million is going to go for infrastructure within that city to make it even better than it was before. Because Americans, we don't quit. We build back better than we ever have been. And this is what makes America great. All right, folks, one more good one to go before we round out the day. We're going to have a conversation right after the commercial break with congressional candidate Keith Gross right after these messages. Welcome back, America. The 2024 election created a brand new coalition for Republican voters, Republican politicians. Donald Trump brought in young people, Hispanics, others. One of the issues that galvanized them was the hope that all the things that were challenging our checkbook, inflation, would be wrestled to the ground. A lot of progress made in the first couple of years. Energy prices down, prescription drug prices down, food prices down. But still housing and other things are in the works. Today, Carolyn Levitt announcing President Trump getting closer to a housing affordability initiative that will be unlike anything seen since the Eisenhower administration. But that said, those folks on the front lines are still talking every day about the need to keep working on it. Joining us now, a man, a businessman, and now congressional candidate from the great state of Florida who has made affordability the front and center of his policy pronouncements. Keith Gross. Keith, great to have you on the show today. So good to be with you. Thanks for having me. You're succeeding a legend. Congressman Neal Dunn stepping down, may step down a little early. There are concerns that he might not even fill out his term. But this is an important area of the state of Florida, the panhandle. Affordability on a lot of people's minds and even in that great state. Absolutely. You know, housing prices here are a major strain for residents in the panhandle. And, you know, I grew up seeing that firsthand. I grew up in a family that lived in a trailer and my family had to scrape by to make ends meet. And I'm seeing that happen all around the district now as I'm traveling around the rural communities. there's a real lack of affordability. And that's driven by a couple of things, of course. Inflation driven by government spending, coupled with poor wage growth. Our wages just haven't gone up enough because we've been offshoring jobs for decades. Fortunately, President Trump's working overtime to bring those jobs back home and start raising wages by building things here again. But in Congress, I'll be fighting to do more work because we can make homes more affordable for people. We can make it easier to finance homes and make things the way they need to be for Americans so you can have a comfortable life. That's the way it's supposed to work here. We're supposed to put Americans first. Yeah, it's so important. The polling shows you in the lead. It looks like this messaging, this sort of platform is really important right now. Tell us what you hear from voters every day and why you think you're in the lead in the polling right now. I think it's just about staying in touch with people all over the district. This district contains 16 counties and it spans rural districts, beach tourism communities, military areas. I'm a veteran and I understand the military needs of this district. We've got a few military installations here that are critical to our national defense. We've got some of the most important test ranges out over the Gulf of America, where our Air Force and Navy pilots are able to test some really advanced techniques and materials out there. And beyond that, we've got a ton of farms. North Florida is full of agriculture and farmers are the backbone of America. Farmers are our national security because without food, we don't have national security. Just like it's important that we reshore manufacturing and bring it back from hostile countries like China, start building things here in America again. It's also important that we ensure our farmers are able to run profitable operations because food security is national security. Yeah, so important. And those farmers in the north part of Florida, they carry a big part of our food supply in that area of the country. They're so important to us. I want to turn a little bit to the military, your own service, extraordinary. In the last few months, with very narrow and targeted missions, the United States might has been put on full display for the whole world. The ability that we captured Maduro with hardly any ability by our enemies to stop us in and out, low casualties, great heroism. For a while, our military was in doubt after the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan by Joe Biden. But it seems like the world's on notice that we're back and don't mess with us. Absolutely. Thank God we've got President Trump back in the White House. He has made peace through strength effective again. You know, the world was taking a very dark turn. You know, I was very concerned about the future of our nation and the safety of the world under Joe Biden. We saw the Ukrainian conflict take off. We saw the things that happened in Israel on October 7th. We saw a lot of conflicts happening. Now that President Trump's back in office, he's been restoring peace through strength, rebuilding American deterrence. The Maduro take, that's an interesting situation because it was about so much more than Venezuela. Of course, it was about stopping the poison that Venezuela was sending into our communities, just like any other chemical weapon. These drugs were sent to harm American citizens. President Trump put an end to that. I think it was also about sending a message to China. They had been sending that military in Venezuela, all sorts of their most advanced technology. And we just waltzed in there, turned it off and sent a very strong message. The American military is and always will be the greatest on this planet. Yeah, there's no doubt. And it's on display in ways that for a few years, I think it was suppressed, but it isn't anymore. I want to talk just about one place where the president may have to use military force a second time in the last 13 months. This in Iran. Obviously, he's trying to exhaust all forms of negotiation. But the early word we got from J.D. Vance today is that Iran doesn't seem to be serious in its offers and its overtures. If we have to go back in and help remove the leadership there, what what is the sort of posture that Floridians want the president to take? Well, I and most of the people here in the panhandle pray that that is not necessary. No one wants a war if it can be avoided. If anyone can avoid that war, it is Donald Trump. I know that he's going to go and make the best deal he can for America. And if there is a way to disarm that conflict, I have every confidence he will. If he's unable to disarm that conflict, this is a community of patriots. We stand behind the president. We stand ready to defend this nation. Yeah, no doubt about it. Before we let you go, what's the best way for folks to stay in touch with your fast moving and rising campaign? It is going to be a fast moving campaign, especially if the special election occurs.
