Barack Obama and Eric Holder are celebrating. Gerrymandering is one thing, ladies and gentlemen. A full-on disenfranchisement 10 to 1 is another thing altogether. The party of George Wallace is back. It's just a different minority that they're going after in states where they can pull this off. California, New York, Massachusetts has no Republican representative. Maryland has one. Virginia will have won although we have an update on a court case and so forth by the way today's video podcast is through the roof the number of viewers we're hitting record territory soon aren't we Mr. Producer record territory Liberty's Voice on Rumble Liberty's Voice on YouTube although I have to confess Rumble has treated us a lot better but it is through the roof and I'll explain why later you ought to check it out but before we do let me do my show check it out after the show after the show Ken Cuccinelli former Attorney General of the Commonwealth of Virginia should have been governor lost by 2.5% if the RNC had even lifted a finger to help him who was the head of the RNC back then what was that guy's name Mr. Pierce what was it do you remember Rince Priebus who did nothing and people who've listened back then may recall how I admonished him he ran up to New Jersey to celebrate Chris Christie's win everybody knew Christie was going to win but spent precious little time in the Commonwealth of Virginia, Ken Cuccinelli, the Tazwell Circuit Court just ruled the referendum unconstitutional. This is a district court judge, circuit court judge, rather. The judge entered an injunction blocking certification of the election and denied a motion to stay pending appeal. So he's going to enter a final order. Once it's written, it'll be immediately appealed, of course. And ultimately, it will get to the Supreme Court of Virginia. there's two basic grounds here. Number one, the way it was written. It was utterly and completely misleading. There are certain requirements for these referenda, and that didn't meet it. And number two, the way the vote came out of the state legislature to put it on the ballot also violated state law. But, of course, the Democrats don't give a damn. They're hoping they have a majority on the Supreme Court, and that's that. but that's where it is right now just so you know Barack Obama and Eric Holder I mean this is what they did in the deep south this is how they played games Jim Crow these buffoons whine about it complain about it talk about it and then do it the same damn thing except it's a different target You basically had a Democrat majority state, the governor, the legislature vote to have a public vote in a Democrat majority state on whether Republicans should have representation. That's the bottom line. And you know what? Most Democrats voted no, the Republicans shouldn't have representation. That's how sick these bastards are. now wasn't that long ago that barack millhouse benito obama opposed this kind of redistricting how do we know because he said so here he is in 2020 versus 2026 cut 22 go gerrymandering means citizens voices are being diminished by voting yes you have a chance to do something important not just for the commonwealth but for our entire country even a former president who are joining together to end gerrymandering and ensure that our democracy is living up to its founding promise. By voting yes, you can push back against the Republicans trying to give themselves an unfair advantage in the midterms. And we're counting on you to help ensure a reasonable, transparent redistricting process that honors our ideal of equal representation. And in Virginia, ladies and gentlemen, they had a constitutional amendment where Virginia was considered the least gerrymandered state, the most objectively determined congressional districts. The Supreme Court of Virginia signed off on it just a few years ago. So you had six Democrats and five Republicans. I love the way the Democrats pretend that they were just responding to Republicans. the gerrymandered Massachusetts the people of Massachusetts if you're Republican you have no representation zero members of Congress you believe that? Maryland you got one member of Congress Illinois I think you got three tops California when they're done you'll have four out of 52 or something like that so Texas sees what's happening in Illinois sees what happened to Massachusetts and Maryland. Even when California had nine Republican representatives, Republicans were way underrepresented, and Texas says, you know what, we're going to act on this. And so now the Democrats, the experts at lies and propaganda, the experts at manipulation, well, we're all responding to Texas. Well, our friend Claudia Tenney, and she is a great congressman, she said stop saying texas started this redistricting mess new york started it after an extreme gerrymander by new york democrats in 2022 completely ignoring the independent commission they created in 2014 the court of appeals of new york that's the highest court like the supreme court restored fairness then the democrats sued again in 2024 to overturn in the Court of Appeals decision. They bullied two Court of Appeals judges off the bench and forced a new Democrat favorable map and the Republicans lost four seats. In 2026, they again sued to gerrymander and eliminate the Republican seat in Staten Island. And we're looking for even more power. The U.S. Supreme Court stopped that nonsense for now. The Democrats plan to gerrymander again in 2020. They will stop at nothing and do not care about the people or fairness. This is a blood sport. The Republicans need to wake up and recognize this fact. And she is right, 100%. And DeSantis in Florida, he's up to the task. And they are soon going to be acting. He wanted to see what happened in Virginia. Hakeem Jeffries has threatened DeSantis. DeSantis told him to go pound sand. Do we have a clip of DeSantis here? I think we do. Okay, help me out, Mr. Producer. All right, here we go. Cut 14, go. This guy Jeffrey's popping off in Washington about Florida. He wants to be Speaker of the House, and he's kind of like more liberal than Pelosi and all this other stuff from New York City. I just want to know. I just say, oh, Florida, we're going to go after Florida. Please be my guest. I will pay for you to come down to Florida and campaign. I'll put you up in the Florida governor's mansion. We'll take you fishing. We'll do all this stuff. There's nothing that could be better for Republicans in Florida than to see Jeffries, Hakeem Jeffries, everywhere around this state. Voters will not like what they see. They will not want that type of ideology. And so the door is open. The invitation's out there. I don't think there'd be anything better for the Republican Party of Florida but to have Jeffries there. Now, I kind of feel bad for the guy because he's as left as they come. He's always going left. And yet the far left hates him. You know, they call him a dollar store Obama. They call him APAC Shakur, all these different derogatory names that they do. And so he's tried to ingratiate himself with there, but they're just not drinking the Kool-Aid. And so they give him a hard time. So I kind of feel bad for that. Boy, do I really dig into this on Liberty's Voice on the podcast, but I want to dig into it somewhat now as well, that we can't spend the entire program on it. You know, every one of these platforms, they're different in a wonderful way. TV has its benefits and its downside. Talk radio has mostly benefits, not a lot of downside. But when you're doing a podcast or what we call video podcast, time's irrelevant. It's irrelevant. And that's one benefit. But I do long-form interviews on TV. I do long-form discussions here, and I do it there as well. So this is, I think, very important to me that we really dig into these things and don't do hit and run. The Southerland Poverty Law Center has been targeting traditional conservatives for decades and has been maligning them. This is well after the civil rights movement and so forth. They've always been looking, looking on how to grift, how to make money. And let me just stop there for a minute. I think, folks, you need to understand that the worst of the podcasters are in it for money. They're in it for money. Now, they may also be bigots and anti-Semites and American haters and so forth. But first and foremost, they're in it for the money. It's not the same with a talk radio host. Where I'm here three hours. There are other things I can do to make more money. It's not true when you write books. There's other things I can do to make more money than spend 12 months writing a book. And what about TV? Well, some people make an enormous amount of money on TV. I'm not on TV to make money either. I've been offered all kinds of platforms and so forth throughout my life. I do what I want to do in a way that I want to do it. But there are other people. There are other people who have failed in different projects, who have been fired, who have said things that have been outrageous. And then where there are governors, and by that I mean governors on your mouth, they're removed. Or they can't get ratings, or they can't get enough, for a thousand different reasons, right? and many of them move over to podcasting and they're there for the money for the money as well as other things don't get me wrong I'm not talking about the good guys the good guys are good guys and they're always good guys because they try to do the right thing I'm talking about people what happened to that guy what happened to that guy I mean two years ago that guy I couldn't stop watching him. He was the best of the best. Oh, my. And now he hates America. He's pushing Islam and Sharia law. He's trashing the president. And I said, what happened to that guy? Or people play clips of these people saying. One thing one year, the another thing another year when it comes to, for instance, transitioning. Children. one position one year, another position another year. What happened to that person, they said. When you have to say what happened to that person, you should be suspicious about it. What did happen to that person? Now, I am supported or attacked for the very same long-held principles I've always had. Always. Now, facts may cause certain different types of outcomes depending on the situation, but the principles don't change. You're not negotiating away your principles. I wanted to point that out. So the Southern Poverty Law Center, they had a problem. Their problem was they kept looking and looking and looking. and they couldn't find enough discrimination under federal and state law to attract donors. So they went out and created it. We've never seen anything like this. On a grand scale, they went out and they created it. Pretty damn shocking, don't you think? the Southern Poverty Law Center and the indictment has the receipts they're all in there funneled $3 million in donor funds more than $3 million to the Ku Klux Klan to the American Nazi Party to the United Klans of America to the Aryan Nation to the National Alliance another neo-Nazi group to unite the right. That was what took place in Charlottesville, Virginia. National Socialist Movement, Nazis, Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club, and American Front, fascists. And they set up these accounts with fake names to launder the money in hopes that they wouldn't be identified, that it wouldn't reach back to the Southern Poverty Law Center. They did it to hide the money. Now, there's much more to this, and I want to get into this a little bit with you. So to hide their over $3 million in payments to these Nazi groups and these Klansman groups and so forth, the Southern Poverty Law Center, they opened these bank accounts. They used fictitious names. They want to conceal the source of the money, which is them. And they had what they called these field source individuals. In the indictment, they're called Fs. Good letter. Fs. And they would pay these Fs. In the Charlottesville case, remember that in 2017? Unite the Right. The Southern Poverty Law Center paid for an individual to help bus members, individuals, other individuals, to that event. They paid this individual to be part of the leadership chat group that was organizing it and promoting it and marketing it. You believe this, Rich? and as I said they coordinated the transportation and you know little Adolf Nick Fuentes little Adolf Nick Fuentes this is where he became known he was 18 years old he was going to I think Boston College or University but whatever it doesn't matter he would later drop out but he swore he wasn't a racist back then of course today he wears it like a badge of honor he swore he wasn't a racist back then and so forth and so on but that's where he got known so he got known at an event that was heavily funded by the left by the Southern Poverty Law Center he was created in fraud and he is a fraud if you ask me but he was birthed out of that movement out of the Southern Poverty Law Center funded event Unite the Right certainly in part they were involved in that and you might recall they tried to destroy Donald Trump with that when Donald Trump said there's very fine people on both sides and he then later was very explicit he said I'm not talking about the supremacists and everything else but the Democrats couldn't control themselves, the media couldn't control themselves, and they kept trying to paint him as one of them. He's never been one of them. Never. He's been the opposite throughout his life as a developer, with blacks and Hispanics and others and Jews throughout his career. And so was his father the same way. The same way. They didn't have a bigoted bone in their body. They didn't have an anti-Semitic bone in their body. Quite the contrary. Quite the contrary. But here's the Southern Poverty Law Center. And guess what? Most of the media are ignoring it. And Democrats are rushing to the defense of the Southern Poverty Law Center. They're trying to tell everybody that there you go, Trump and his Department of Justice trying to mete out jungle justice. What? it turns out the acting attorney general said that actually they were under investigation in the SPLC during the Biden regime but they shut it down for no reason. They just shut it down. Well we know why, don't we? Because it's one of their babies, that's why. Does their dirty work, that's why. Why do you think Elizabeth Warren is in Maine campaigning with a Nazi? They don't care, it's power baby. 10 to 1 in Virginia. They don't care if they're the modern day George Wallace disenfranchising millions and millions of voters as long as they're Republicans. The Democrats just voted to disenfranchise Republicans. Wow! Isn't that the way it's supposed to work? I understand gerrymandering. 10 to 1 is not gerrymandering. Zero Republicans in Massachusetts, that's not gerrymandering. One Republican in Maryland, that's not gerrymandering. That's denying people the right to vote. Destroying their franchise. Choosing a Democrat congressman for them. That's what that is. That's what it is. That's right. Southern Poverty Law Center. What a joke. DOJ charges them with fraud for paying white supremacist groups $3 million to stoke racial hatred. stoking racial hatred while they claim to be attacking it. It's an 11-count indictment filed in an Alabama federal court. Well, no wonder they were able to get a grand jury to indict. Don't try that in D.C. Although even there, I think they would have done it. This 2017 Unite the Right, the protest in Charlottesville, Virginia, they paid $270,000 over an eight-year period. $270,000 over an eight-year period to stoke that. To stoke it. They had an in-bed, a neo-Nazi organization was paid $1 million. $1 million. It's incredible. The Grand Klegel of the Ku Klux Klan was on their peril. The National Ku Klux Klan was effectively on their payroll. They were paying for violence. They were paying for racism and bigotry and anti-Semitism. And then they were raising enormous amounts of funds saying that they were going to fight. And they were fighting the very groups and causes they were funding. What do you think about that, America? Stretch from 2014 to 2023. multi-million dollars involved they'd sham bank entities the center investigative agency bank, the Fox Photography Bank the Northwest Technologies bank accounts, Tech Writers Group bank account, Rare Books warehouse bank account, no actual business, just a wash through they were laundering the money that's it money fraud bank fraud mail fraud Southern Poverty Law Center And Chuck Schumer goes to the floor of the Senate to attack the Department of Justice To attack the Department of Justice. What do you think of that, Mr. Bidus? That's pretty crazy, don't you think? I mean, they haven't dead the rights, that is the Department of Justice. But he goes to the floor of the Senate, and he trashes the Department of Justice. As do a lot of Democrats. Well, here's Kash Patel at the press conference late yesterday. Cut three, go. We're here today is to announce what the general just told you. The Southern Poverty Law Center, in a massive, sweeping indictment, has been charged with allegations of fraud and using the banking system to perpetrate that fraud. I just want to talk about a couple of brief things here. The Southern Poverty Law Center themselves advertised to raise money to dismantle violent extremist groups for a period of at least a decade. They used their donor network to raise money to purportedly dismantle violent extremist groups. However, the SPLC, the Southern Poverty Law Center, used the money they raised from their donor network to actually pay the leadership of these very groups. I just want to say that again. They used the fraudulently raised money by lying to their donor network, thousands of Americans, to go ahead and actually pay the leadership of these supposed violent extremist groups. The groups, as the general laid out, include the Ku Klux Klan, the United Klans of America, Unite to Right, National Alliance, the National Socialist. These are basically Candace Owen, Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, viewers, adherents, basically same groups. Go ahead. Motorcycle Club and the National Socialist Party of America and also the American Front. In at least one of these matters, our investigation revealed that funds were used to facilitate the commission of further state and federal offenses, totaling over $3 million. Furthermore, our investigation revealed that the Southern Poverty Law Center, on top of perpetuating this widespread, decade-long, multi-million dollar fraud, conducted more criminal activity. They attempted to hide their criminal activity from our financial banking network. They set up shell companies and entities around America so that the financial institutions that we rely on as everyday Americans were deceived in believing that money was not coming from the Southern Poverty Law Center in the perpetration of this scheme and fraud, but rather fictitious entities they stood up to perpetuate this ongoing fraud. This is a serious and egregious violation of a group that purported to dismantle violent extremist groups, but in turn actually only fueled the hatred. This is an important case brought by the president by President Trump's administration. We're thankful for the president for his leadership and funding of not just the FBI and DOJ, but his commitment to go out there and wipe out fraud and conspiracy and waste and abuse wherever it occurs, including the Southern Poverty Law Center. Even though this money was made to appear to be coming from legitimate people and legitimate entities, we at the FBI, with our great partners at the Department of Justice and in the state of Alabama, were able to comb through a decade worth of material, a scheme that took a decade to build so that we were able to follow the money because money never lies. All right. Now, here's the thing. all this information, or at least a big chunk of it, was available to Meritless Garland and the Department of Justice. Instead, they were trying to destroy Donald Trump with trumped-up charges, right? They spent all their time and money on things like that. But here they had the goods on these folks, and they dropped it. Now, that's not blind justice. That's outrageous. It should cause each one of you to be very angry about this. I'll be right back. And that was the case where you saw literally people marching, Klansmen marching, neo-Nazis marching in the uniforms with the flags. Oh, that was paid for by the Southern Poverty Law Center. This is where little Adolf Fuentes became famous. He was 18 years old. He was going to, I think, Boston U. He got all caught up in this. And he said, I was there defending my values, but I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything. And of course, now he bathes in it. He bathes in it is right. Man, oh man, I got a lot to say about that on the podcast, but I have a lot to say about a lot more here on radio as well, but a number of other things. How much time do I have, Rich? Okay, let's listen to this. A.G. Todd Blanche, the acting attorney general on this very topic today. Cut four, go. In total, according to the indictment, between 2014 and 2023, SPLC paid at least $3 million to eight individuals at least. These individuals were affiliated with the Ku Klux Klan, United Klans of America, National Socialist Movement, Aryan Nations-affiliated Sadistic Souls Motorcycle Club, the Nationalist Socialist Party of America, Nazis, and the American front. Now, as the indictment lays out, after SPLC paid members of these extremist groups, it created work product that reported on these activities that the members participated in or contributed to. And to that end, it was doing the exact opposite of what it's told its donors it was doing, not dismantling extremism, but funding it. to carry out this scheme spLC created bank accounts in the name of at least five completely fictitious organizations that had no bona fide employees or legitimate business purpose the money was passed from spLC to one sham account to a second sham account and then loaded onto prepaid cards to give to the members of the extremist groups this was designed to shield the source of those funds. And because of this, SPLC is also charged with one count, as I said earlier, of conspiracy to commit money laundering. That's Todd Blanche. He's doing a hell of a job. Cash Patel's doing a hell of a job. All you naysayers out there, not in my audience, on the Internet, this strange place, the Internet. You see, I'm of the view Tucker Carlson is done. It doesn't mean he won't have followers, but he's done. He has no influence in the Republican Party, has no influence with the president, unless the president decides he should. Really, with MAGA, he is talking about removing the president under the 25th Amendment. He was talking to his brother. Just really weird. You know, Laura Loomer had a clip of this, and I don't watch this idiot, and I watched the idiot and his idiot brother. I mean, I don't know what people see in this. It's narcissistic. It is a psychodrama. It is bizarre. Absolutely bizarre. They need to seek redemption because they were so wrong. And they're trashing the president. They're trashing our country. They're trashing our economic system. These guys, they're promoting the enemy. That's not conservatism or MAGA or Trump or anything of the sort. These guys have, you know, they don't have all their marbles. So what is it? I think it's a lot of rubbernecking, a lot of bots, a lot of foreigners. But in our country, I think it's not that people agree with them. It's that they find it amusing and entertaining to watch nut jobs be nut jobs. He said, some 163 years ago this June, the people of what is now West Virginia had had enough of the old dominion and the wealthy planters who thought the nation's rules did not apply to them. As a result, today, West Virginia Republican voters have a strong voice in Congress, while those in the mother state just had theirs stripped away. In other words, West Virginia was part of Virginia and they broke off. Let's be completely clear. After yesterday's now electoral victory for the anti-American redistricting designed to give Virginia a state that is 45% Republican, a 10 to 1 advantage in the House delegation for Democrats. Democrats are capable of anything, no matter how immoral or duplicitous. Who wrote a whole book on this, Mr. Producer? I wonder. My thickest book ever. The Democrat Party Hates America. And he says it's not just politicians this time, it was Democratic voters, mostly in the wealthy, elite northern counties, who cynically chose to disenfranchise their poor neighbors to the south. It's exactly right. The bureaucrats, the wealthy lawyers, people who moved in from Maryland and D.C. and the northern Virginia in Moss voted to disenfranchise all these other people. Real middle class, lower middle class and poor people in western Virginia. Today the issue is not slavery, although let's be honest, the illegal immigrant nannies in Loudoun County come at a discount price. But rather, Democrats would have us believe that President Trump is a threat to America, so the rules must be broken to stop him. Funny, they said exactly the same thing about Abraham Lincoln. Democrats and the mother of states knew damn well just how outrageous this new redistricting is. It's why they never showed the new map in an ad, not once, or even mentioned the new 10 to 1 Democrat to Republican ratio. not once, and insisted that this radical act of so-called fairness is only temporary. That temporary argument was particularly disgusting, as if stealing people's votes once in a while is fine. Perhaps Virginia should change its motto from sick semper tyrannis, ever such to tyrants, to tyranny sometimes. Democrats have argued that they're simply trying to keep up with redistricting in Texas, But Texas didn't give the GOP 90% of its house seats. It didn't set up a situation where one wealthy city like Fairfax has an octopus grip on poor rural voters. Remember last night I kept saying Fairfax is an inn. It is an inn. It's the most populous county by far. It's a massive county. And it came in in the end, didn't it, Mr. Medici? To save the day for the Democrats. basically the people in Virginia who get dirt under their fingernails at work were told by screeching rich white ladies with Prada bags that they have no say in Congress anymore in grand old Virginia fashion the elites will rule, the peasants will serve professional Republicans and the politicians who pay them need this to be a wake up call he says as I reported last week from southern Virginia the state and national GOP weren't just outspent and outworked. They barely seemed to try. I'm not a big fan of the current chairman of the RNC. I'm just not. GOP insiders tell me that a handful of political consulting firms handle almost all GOP campaigns, including this flaccid effort to stop the gerrymandering. But these lovable losers, the same ones who warned us about Trump, who actually wins, get paid, whatever the results. Meanwhile, Senate Majority Leader John Thune, who thinks he's a pastor, not a politician, insists that we still cannot blow up the filibuster to pass the Save America Act and protect our elections, because if he does, then Democrats may eventually do it too. With all due respect to Thune, he writes, the Democrats just disenfranchised almost every Republican in Virginia. They aren't going to respect the filibuster. to continue to suggest they will is simple-minded madness at this point. It's time for Republicans to think bigger, to realize the enemy of the fight they are in. Proposals to add lefty Arizona and Alexandria to Washington, D.C. should absolutely be on the table, I agree. Brass knuckle time, folks. Brass knuckle time. And further plans by Republican West Virginia State Senator Chris Rose to offer about 30 border counties in Virginia. The chance to join the mountain state should be vigorously pursued. People like to make jokes about my adopted home state of West Virginia, and yeah, we might be poor and less educated than other states, but we damn well don't let wealthy elites steal the very rights they gave our home its bloody birth. These men back in 1863 chose wisely when they created West, by God, Virginia. And it is because of them that I woke up Wednesday morning, this morning, with my voting rights intact. That is more than I can say for my neighbors in the old dominion, who have returned to the rule by the rich and the powerful. Man, is that right on, Mr. Reducer, or not? It's so true. But even the Washington Post condemned what took place. my buddy Mark Thiessen tells me check out the editorial page there and the op-eds and so forth they're far more conservative than they've ever been that they've turned over a new leaf and I think he's right about that quite frankly I think he's right about that well we've gone back and forth between the Southern Poverty Law Center and what took place in Virginia because they're both crucially important crucially important And the Democrats say they cheat to save the country, you know. No, they cheat to empower themselves. Again, one of the best books I've ever written, which is the shortest book I've ever written, and yet it took me a very long time. You know, it's hard to write a shorter book because I was hoping more and more people would read it, but it didn't do as well as many of my other books on power. And yet I think when my day comes, and people, maybe some, maybe three or four of you, will wonder about the books that I wrote, I think on power will be one of the most important. Maybe 50 years from now, 100 years from now. I mean, I'll be gone. It won't matter. But children and grandchildren, it matters to me. Matters to me. Abigail Skamberger on the morning. Joe, cut eight. Go. The General Assembly crafted legislation carefully and purposefully. No, it didn't do it carefully. It did it to help the Democrats. They have a supermajority now. in the General Assembly. And that language was crafted to get a yes vote. It wasn't crafted by carefully, she means legally. No, it wasn't. Go ahead. Say, we saw what happened in Texas. When the president said he's entitled to seats, that legislation... Texas has nothing to do with Republican voters in Virginia under any circumstances. Did she see what happened in California, in Massachusetts, in Maryland, in Illinois? This woman's a joke. and she specifically ran, Texas has already acted, and she specifically ran saying she wouldn't modify, she wouldn't adjust or do anything. In fact, she ran against gerrymandering. Go ahead. Together and redistricted. You know what, I don't even want to hear her disgusting voice. She is so vile to me. So vile. did Texas have anything to do with the National Vote Project to get around the Electoral College? No. Did Texas have anything to do with essentially making Virginia Sanctuary State? No. Did Texas have anything to do with 52 new taxes that she put in place? No. And I can go on and on and on. She went radical left because she wants to be somebody's running mate. That's what she's doing. She's running for vice presidential candidate in the Democrat Party. And she's selling out the people in Virginia. That's what she's done. And the Democrats in Virginia have moved left, too. They've moved left, too. They just voted by a very small margin, but they voted to disenfranchise Republicans. That's what they just did. I'm blushing. I'm honored. You know what? I want to tell you something. A couple years ago, I didn't know you very well, and I said things, and I want to apologize to you. Whatever I said, I shouldn't have said. That's number one. Because my experience with you on TV is you're very kind, you let people speak, you're very smart, and you're very solid. And I think that's why the shows you're on are hit shows. You with Hammer, The Five, and so forth. You're like the voice of reason on these shows and so forth. So anyway, I wanted to tell you that personally. And this is a remarkable book. First of all, I don't know how you do fiction. I can't write fiction. So it's a fascinating book. It's about Dorothy Clark. And tell us about Dorothy Clark. And she's in New York City. Then she goes to Wisconsin and so forth. And tell us why you decided to write this book and about Dorothy Clark. I will be honored to do so. Let me first say you are a North Star and somebody that I follow very closely because in order to be the voice of reason and to feel solid and to know that my values are being expressed in a way that is concise and entertaining, but also meaningful. I really look to you. So I thank you for all that you do. I didn't think I could write fiction either, to be honest. It's something I've always read voraciously, and I love it. And I just had this idea bopping around in my head about how I don't want Americans to feel as polarized as maybe we feel. And I grew up, I don't know if you know this, I grew up in Wyoming and Colorado in a rural environment, cattle ranch. and then I end up living in Washington D.C. and New York City and I used to think about wouldn't it be fun if I took my family and I transplanted them here in New York City and did the same thing with my friends here and put them on the ranch for three months and see how everybody did and that they would realize what their lives were like you know and that and that the coastal areas wouldn't try to fix middle America all the time and that middle middle America would say hey you know these guys on the coast are not so bad either and that felt too big but a friend of mine said what if it just came down to one gerrymandered district in wisconsin the ultimate purple state and a light bulb went off and i just wrote on saturdays and sundays from 11 to 4 it's very disciplined and i had a great editor and i actually to be honest i really loved the process and i love how the story turned out. And it really is great. I mean, is this a little bit of you in this book? There's a little bit. Certainly, Dot Clark's the main character. And although I'm now much older, she's 25 in the book and she's going through what many young women go through in America, maybe throughout the world, but certainly in America. I call it the quarter life crisis. And that's where you start to realize that all of these things that you had planned aren't necessarily coming true and that maybe you chose the wrong career and usually it's about not being able to find a guy that you want to settle down with where's the romance and you thought you and everything would be perfect and it's not and you start to say oh my gosh maybe i'm in the wrong direction and it takes something like a an adventure like dot mary and harper go on to go work on a presidential campaign um of course i write it from a democratic point of view i think that will surprise some people. Now, these are not your Columbia University protesting type Democrats. These are more mainstream, and maybe it's a little bit aspirational, but hey, it's fiction. And then they get to Wisconsin, they're working on a campaign, and they meet these Republican guys, and they think, oh, wait, actually, they're great, and they're hot, and maybe this would be a better life. Folks, the book is called Purple States by Dana Perino, obviously, and here's the thing. don't you need to get away from nonfiction sometimes? That's all I write, nonfiction. I love writing nonfiction. But every now and then you've got to step away, right? You've got to watch something different on TV or a movie or a book or something like that. You're going to love this book. It's beautifully written. We're going to dig a little bit more into this, too. So here we have Dorothy Dot Clark of New York City and she goes to Wisconsin and she involved in politics political campaigns this presidential campaign as you mentioned in this all district it may come down to this all district and then as you point out she meets a republican a truck driver what happens yes his name is danny dawson and he's um has hugh hewitt and i talked about he's straight out of central casting he's tall dark and handsome he runs his own construction company he played football for the university of wisconsin he's got sad eyes because his mother had passed away when he was in high school and he had been taken in by a farming family named joe and grace taylor and they have twin boys and so there are these three boys uh guys and they're not married yet they're um 30 they're living in wisconsin one is a police officer and another owns a bar i call it the sin bin i didn't really know what that was but it's a hockey bar. So I learned a lot. And they start to flirt, they start to date. And then there's a big question towards the end of the book that Dot has to think about, which is she's got an offer to go work in Washington, D.C. But she also has this love that she's found for Danny Dawson. And so she wrestles with career and personal life and choices. And I try to just set it up like what these young girls I'm mentoring all the time are, which is how are they going to make good choices so that they can be both professionally and personally fulfilled. Now you talk about these young girls you mentor. What do most of them decide? If they have to choose between a career in one location and a potential husband in another? you know well it's interesting because i work with a lot of young women at fox news for example um and in fact a few you know well i've known one uh tara for years and often they find a way because i believe fox news has a great culture and they will work with you and i have never seen happier younger mothers than the ones who become mothers while they're working at fox and to a person, they say the company is really great. But I also know a couple who have made the leap and moved. And then one of them, in my mind's eye, I know she lives in Wilmington, North Carolina now. She has three children. Her husband runs a real estate firm and she does PR for him down there. Another moved to California and she still is working for Fox. She just does it from afar. And yet another also moved to South Carolina and she does media relations for us. So I think that you have to realize that maybe you're not going to have everything all at once. But if you are willing to find a company that will work with you, you can do a lot at the same time. And if you decide to keep working, there are places that you can thrive. And if there's not, then you're you know what George Bush used to say? You're born in America. That's you won life's great lottery. It's a great point. And if you're educated, then all you have to decide to do is, what do you want to do? How hard do you want to work? This is the best opportunity you'll ever have of being an American. The Southern Poverty Law Center and all the money they use to create all this hate in order to claim to extinguish it. It's like the greatest extortion scam I've heard of in a long time. And thank goodness they found out. You know what it reminded me of? Gutfeld and I talked about this on The Five tonight. During, well, right after Charlottesville, when Biden won, one of the first things they did is they came out with a study that said, well, not a study. They said the worst of white supremacism in the United States can be found in the United States military. And it was quite an accusation. And then they did this study. They said, we're going to come out with a study. About 18 months later, they came out with the study and they put it out on a Friday night at 10 p.m. And I know what that means because I used to do this job. That means you don't want anybody to see it. And what they found was that actually, no, they were wrong. That wasn't the source of the white supremacy. Then you listen to Todd Blanche, the acting attorney general, and he says, well, the Biden administration started an investigation into this after the banks caught the wire fraud. And the Biden administration mysteriously ended that investigation. I think even the Pink Panther could figure out that. I do, but that is a scandal right there because they're chasing Trump. You know, it's so politicized over there. I used to work over there. So politicized over there. You do. Yeah, you too. And then they have all this evidence. These banks bring it to them, and they just drop it? I mean, that's crazy. I think the acting attorney general or others ought to look into all of this because I think that Department of Justice was run very, very politically. I know ours was not. I mean, I can tell you, Ed Meese was not that way. He just was not that way. They clearly are. I loved Ed Meese. I loved Ed Meese. I was a spokesperson at Justice Department right after 9-11 for about 10 months, and I didn't do the terrorism part. I did every other thing, and you know what I learned? 101 ways to say no comment, and that's how nonpolitical we were. Let me tell you a little story about Ed Meese and George H.W. Bush. The attorney general decided to resign, and people were wondering why. You know, he was under attack, constant investigation with his independent counsel. And we were in with President Reagan and Mrs. Reagan. And the president said, Ed, I apologize to you. And Ed said, why is that, Mr. President? He said, because they wanted me. So they went after you. and I said to him, why did you resign? He said, because George H.W. Bush is going to run for president and I don't want to ruin his campaign. That's what he said. And Ed is still with us. He's gone through a number of health issues, but mentally he's doing great. What do you, this is not a fair question, but I'm going to ask you anyway. Iran, you know, my take on Iran has been and I don't know, they act like I'm the whisperer like I control the war in the world and I go, what are you talking about? I give my opinion, that's all I do and my opinion is this keep up the economic pressure put on the military pressure arm the people there the way Reagan, Bush armed the people in Afghanistan the Mujahideen in Angola in Nicaragua you don't have to send troops, arm these people and defeat them. Am I wrong? You can disagree with me. I absolutely agree with you. And I have on this issue from the beginning, every morning one of the things my assistant does is make sure that I have this list, a short list of people. I said, just make sure I saw everything that they said overnight just to make sure I didn't miss anything. And yours are always in there. And I find myself nodding along. because especially, you know, there is this sense that people say, well, no other president has done this up to now. And that's true. Yes, of course, 47 years. But I always look to what Israel did after October 7th. They said no more. And the accomplishments of the intelligence and the military, people forget the pagers attack, the capabilities to infiltrate Iran. We didn't have that kind of intelligence for many, many decades, right? So now we have it. the Iranian regime is on the ropes. Yes, they're clinging to life, but it seems to me keeping the economic pressure up, certainly, and turning on the gas a little bit hotter would get you a faster result. Because we're going to win one way or the other. You can do it more quickly or you can make it take a while. That's what I believe President Trump will end up finishing the job at some point. Of course, I don't have all the intel, and I fully respect the commander-in-chief's position of having to figure it out. And also, I only give my opinion. I have no inside information. Me too, even though they seem to think I'm running the damn thing. But it's pretty funny. But the truth is this. These guys are not going to surrender. They're just not going to surrender. Even with the economic pressure, which is very important, these guys are going to keep eating. They're going to keep living. And the other thing is this. We could have a situation, if we're not careful, by the end of this, where Hamas survives, Hezbollah survives, Iran survives, and the Netanyahu government is defeated. Because the Israelis want an end to this. They're tired of running to bomb shelters, and the people running against him, to the left of him, are saying, he can't get this done. He won't get this done. He's too much of a lapdog. Isn't that interesting? It's bizarre because you would ask them, would you prefer for the 46 Iranian leaders to have been left to be alive? Would you prefer that they were still there? I don't think so. I don't understand what Bibi Netanyahu has done that they would want to reverse. Same with the American far left. What is it that you would, Chris Murphy, Senator from Connecticut, what would you actually undo? Do you want the border chaos again? Would you go for that? Is that what you want? And the answer is no, but they just want to be against something. They're never for something. By the way, don't forget, folks, her book is Purple State. Purple State. You can enjoy this book. I don't understand conservatives who attacked DeSantis. I know some of them were upset that he challenged Trump, but that was never going to go anywhere. But Trump's gotten over it. I mean, you've got to take a really close look at this man. A really close look at him. as far as I'm concerned. And there are others too, don't get me wrong, but when you've been the chief executive of a state, like Reagan was in California and so forth, you really get to see what these guys are made of. If you're a senator, you're a congressman, maybe you're in the executive branch, and you're not the president, or maybe you're the vice president, whatever, you've got different qualities. So you've got to take them into consideration. The converse is true, too. Look at Nuscombe in California. It's a complete failure, a fraud and a phony. And he was cheering the disenfranchisement of Republicans of Virginia. Cheering it. Because he's disenfranchising Republicans of California. So he's not capable of standing above the crowd. He's not capable of being statesmanlike. He's incapable of it completely. I want to read something to you. Just came across here from the New York Post. I get the sense the New York Post doesn't like me or their show. I could be wrong. I don't really care. I think it's a great newspaper, by the way. I really do. Arizona Republican Yasemin Ansari. Gone are the days of Frank Smith, Mr. Producer. Yassimine Ansari decries petition to expel her for its lies on Iran ties. Now, this interests me because she is the one that introduced articles of impeachment against our great Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth. And she lied up and down about it. War crimes, illegal war, you know, all this crap. U.S. Representative Yasemin Ansari has slammed a widely circulated online petition claiming she has secret links to Iran. And by the way, why do they have to be secret? Don't most of the Democrats have links to Iran to the extent that they're cheering for Iran? Because they view a victory for Iran as a victory for them, that they can use against Trump and the Republicans. Now, I'm not overstating the case. That's the case. That's what's going on with this sleazeball Chris Murphy and others. Hakeem Jeffries, Ro Khanna, Ro the con man Khanna. The petition signed by more than 13,000 people shared a doctored image of Ansari in what looks like a turban in front of the Iranian flag. That's not nice, is it, Mr. Producer? We would decry that here, decry it. I decry it. He called for an investigation into undisclosed foreign lobbying and ties between her and Iran, which America is currently at war with, of course. The petition provides no evidence of the rumored ties. I think that's outrageous, don't you, Rich? I mean, the, you know, the photograph and then the petition without any evidence. and this lovely lady I assume she's a lady are we allowed to say lady anymore? The petition was started two weeks ago by an individual named Azadeh Azadi I'm sure that's the real name a self-described member of the Iranian American community an inquiry to Azadi was sent through the petition website a spokesman for Ansari Ansari Ansadi six of one and a half a dozen referred the post to a Tuesday statement where she lashed out at the alleged ties to Iran as hateful rhetoric, lies, cruel and deliberate misinformation. Ansari is the first Iranian American Democrat in Congress. Whoa, whoa, whoa. All the rest of this crap aside. Let me get this straight. She's the first Iranian American in Congress and she wants to impeach and remove the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, for leading our military in a spectacular, righteous, noble war against the regime in Iran? Do you believe that, Rich? It's crazy. Bad actors have tried to smear my family instead by circulating fake and AI generating. Okay, I don't blame you for being upset about that. but I certainly don't blame people who are legitimately upset about what she's trying to do. What she's trying to do, it's pretty disgusting. The congresswoman previously said she has complicated feelings around the conflict with Iran even acknowledging that a good number of Iranians abroad support President Trump actions against the regime Still Ansari said she fears that mismanagement by the Trump administration could lead to unintended consequences Well, how about the intended consequences of the regime, slaughtering 50,000 young people, Ansari? Can we invite her on the program, Mr. Producer? I want to discuss Iran with her. I want to discuss Iran with her because I don't understand her position and I have a number of questions and if she's going to seek the impeachment of the Secretary of War the great Pete Higgseth, that's right I said it, the great Pete Higgseth then I want to have a discussion with her so we'll make an effort to have a discussion with her and I think it's important to have a discussion with her. He's going to be surrounded by all these freaks, frauds and phonies. They're all going to be taking shots at him. I don't know. I'm a two minds on that. He can handle it, obviously, but still. I don't know about that. Caroline Levitt, cut 15, 16 that is. Go. Let's level set on where we are. As you all saw yesterday, President Trump announced an extension of the ceasefire. He's maintaining and generously offering a bit of flexibility to a regime who has been completely tarnished because of Operation Epic Fury. There's obviously a lot of internal division. This is a battle between the pragmatists and the hardliners in Iran right now, and the president wants a unified response. And so as we await that response, there's a ceasefire with the military and kinetic strikes. But Operation Economic Fury continues. And the effective and successful naval blockade continues as well of ships and vessels that are moving to and from Iranian ports. We are completely strangling their economy through this blockade. They're losing $500 million a day. The Karg Island is completely full. They can't move oil in and out. they can't even pay their own people as a result of this economic leverage that President Trump has inflicted over them. So he's satisfied with that as we await their response. And we will see. The president has not set a firm deadline to receive an Iranian proposal, unlike some of the reporting I've seen today. We're going to run out of time. Let me just say this. Why do we need a unified front? This is my one question. Why do we even want a unified front? We just fought to defy the leadership, so they turn on each other. What's needed is a few knockout blows here, in my view, in arming the people. I've heard it say, well, there's fractions, it's fractured, the opposition, everything else. But the more I hear, the more I say it's not that fractured, that the main opposition backs the prince. and so arm them we're not there to sort things out we're there to help them arm them well they stole the weapons who stole the weapons and gave them to whom I mean that arm them that was the Reagan doctrine that's how we overthrew the Soviet Union and Afghanistan we did it in Angola we did it in Nicaragua we did it in Honduras and other places it was part of the Reagan doctrine is the CIA even up to this anymore I don't know We train. We give strategic and tactical advice. We provide them with arms. And we help them out. And then they can go in and do what they need to do. You want to take out the regime? That's how you take out the regime. We don't want regime change. Sure as hell we do. We want to defeat them. That's my opinion. That's my two cents worth. Maybe it's worth one cent. I don't even know. I'll be right back. Mark Levin. Well, we have our friend Ken Cuccinelli, who knows all things Virginia. One of the great litigators, too. Ken, how are you, my friend? I'm good. How are you, Mark? I'm doing great. You know, I mentioned on the program earlier, as I have in the past, that if you had had just a little support from the RNC when you were running for governor, you would have won. And it is so frustrating to me, even to this day. That could have changed the course of Virginia, of course. But here we are. Tell us what's going on now. Russ Limbaugh turned me into a verb. He called it being Cuccinelli. Russ Limbaugh called it. He took your idea and made it a verb. Well, it's true. He was a great one. He was great, man. We miss him. Tell me what's going on in the courts about all this gerrymandering stuff. So we're used to courts moving pretty slowly, but after the gerrymander referendum was over Tuesday, and of course there's still mail ballots trickling in, but they'll move it a little farther to the left. The result is in the yes folks eked out a win here, outspending the no folks. our side about four to one three to one and uh but but now the legal fun begins and um they so brazenly ignored the requirements of the virginia constitution in pushing this extreme gerrymander through that now they're going to pay the price in my view they have to defend this win and they have four different state constitutional violations that are all significant by themselves and together i don't think they can withstand it because they have to win on all four everything they do had to have been constitutional we only need to show that one thing they did was unconstitutional and then the referendum goes or the map goes depending on which constitutional violation the court settles on. But there's a lot to work with here for the Virginia Supreme Court. Well, let me ask you this. What is the makeup of that court? Is it, you know, sometimes it's one way or the other. What do you know? Yeah, yeah. So it is still got four Republicans selected justices out of the seven, and that'll be true throughout the rest of 2026. So this is a 4-3 Republican appointee court. But I wouldn't be surprised, Mark, if this referendum is thrown out on 7-0 votes. That's how brazen this Democrat General Assembly was in ignoring the requirements. Not only Virginia, but a lot of states have very similar requirements in amending their constitutions as well. And so now, of course, they're screaming, oh, the will of the people, the will of the people. The will of the people, you outspent this side four to one, most of that money from outside the state, and squeaked by by two or three points while violating the Constitution four different ways. Bring it on, fellas. Four elements. Are you able to tell us off the top of your head what those are? Yeah, sure. So I'll do it from strongest arguments to weakest. And they're all pretty good arguments, frankly. The strongest start with first passage. And in state constitutional amendments, Virginia, like many other states, you have to pass the amendment through the General Assembly twice with an intervening election. Well, the last time the Democrats had full control with Governor Northam and two Democrat houses, they gave us a 45-day election in Virginia. So that means that you have to pass constitutional amendments before that 45-day election in the odd years, have the election, elect a new House of Delegates, and then the new General Assembly comes in and they have to pass the exact same amendment. And in 2025, of course, Abigail Spanberger and the General Assembly were up and voting because they gave us this 45-day election started September 19th. Well, they didn't pass the first passage of this proposed amendment until Halloween, five or six weeks into the election, after over a million Virginians had already voted. And they're trying to argue that that election counts as the intervening election required by the Virginia Constitution between two passages of the same proposed. Which is ridiculous because you're telling us they started voting before the election. Yeah, and so they're literally going to be arguing that the election means just election day, the last day of the election. And that has never been done in any state. When it's been tried at the federal level, it's been rejected. This is a similar argument. Now, obviously, this is based on the state constitution, but the logic is the same. So the other one, equally strong, where they brazenly violated the Constitution, was on the second passage. They passed it on January 19th of this year, and the same section of the Virginia Constitution, Article 12, Section 1, requires 90 days after second passage before submission to the voters of Virginia. Well, January 19th to April 21st is barely over three months. It's just about 90 days with February squeezed in there. But we started voting with our 45-day election on March 6th. So on March 6th, this was submitted to the voters of Virginia less than 50, well, less than 60 days after second passage. Again, a very blatant violation of a simple part of the Constitution. And it's easy to see why that's in the Constitution. It's so voters can learn about it, understand the effect, and so forth. And we saw how this referendum played out. The yes side had a lot more money, but critically, even more critically in my view, they started earlier with that money. And so time does matter. That's why it's in the Constitution. It's been there for a very long time. So either of those brazen, naked violations. Back to the first passage on Halloween. The General Assembly, all Democrats, said, well, this is just a continuation of the May 2024 special session, which was called to deal with the budget with then Governor Glenn Youngkin. They hadn't finished the budget. And a year and a half later, they all came back and said, we're still in special session. And now we're going to amend the Constitution. The problem was it wasn't part of the call of the special session. And in a special session, you can only do specified things. And they needed a two thirds vote for that. And they never got it. So there's violation number three. Hold on, Ken. That music means I've got to take a break. And we're going to have to go quickly after the break and sum up number three and four. Boy, where the hell is this show going, man? It's taking off. We got our buddy Ken Cuccinelli. Ken, you went through constitutional issues one and two. Let's do three and four. All right, number three. The Democrat General Assembly on Halloween last year said they were in a special session that dated back a year and a half to May of 2024 that was called to deal with the budget. Unlike Congress, Virginia, like most states, when they have a special session, it only addresses defined topics. Constitutional amendments weren't among them. To change the topics, they needed a two-thirds vote of the General Assembly. Of course, they couldn't have gotten the Republicans to go along with that, and they didn't have a two-thirds vote. So they violated that constitutional provision as well. All three of those are process violations and will have the referendum thrown out, any one of them by itself. If none of those prevail, and I'll be surprised if they don't, the map itself violates Virginia's Article 2, Section 6 requirement that every electoral district has to be compact and contiguous. Well, we may have the most gerrymandered map in the country if the one they voted on Tuesday holds up. So it is the most gerrymandered map in years in my lifetime in Virginia, and I don't think it'll hold up under state constitutional scrutiny. But I put that one at the bottom of the list as the least strong. I'm not going to say it's weak. It's the least strong argument against what the radical Democrats have done here. Well, it sounds to me like you got a grand slam there. Now, they'll come up with their arguments. Literally all four. Yeah. But if the appellate court, so there's that intermediary court, do you know anything about that court? Oh, I do. But it'll be skipped. It's going to be skipped. The Supreme Court already has the first and third challenges, the special session challenge, and the fact that they wanted to use the election they were in the middle of as their intervening election. Those issues are already before the Supreme Court of Virginia. The second passage, not being 90 days before it went to the voters, was ruled on today by the Tazewell County Court, Southwest Virginia. And it's not Tazewell, folks. It's Tazewell. They'd be offended. Tazewell Circuit Court, that'll be immediately appealed. That's the other second passage issue. And then there's a separate case dealing with the maps in Richmond Circuit Court where they're waiting on a judge's ruling. But even after he rules, that will be appealed also up to the Supreme Court. But I don't think they'll take the map case until they deal with these three violations of the Virginia Constitution with respect to pushing this referendum on the people of Virginia. All right, Ken, we undoubtedly will want to have you back when there's some additional decisions. And we really appreciate you staying on top of this. Are you also giving people advice on how to litigate these cases and so forth? I stay in touch with those folks, yes. Good. Well, you're a damn good lawyer. All right, you take care of yourself, man. And I don't think that's going to happen unless we continue the military operation, plus arm the people there and train them quickly, and, of course, keep the economic pressure on. so I think you got to do those three things and I tend to agree with you that's my opinion as well yeah Mark I wrote when you said we need to arm the people and I wrote and asked them to do that oh you want me to ask well when I talk about it or I write about it and things like that the White House sees it the press sees it my enemies who as you well know love me they see it too so um it's not like i'm hiding the ball but i really believe it i'm going to talk about a little bit on fox this weekend too because i was the reagan doctrine and it worked it worked in a stupendous manner and uh doesn't involve us sending troops in at all it's the uh it's the fight of the willing the people who are there who just need a fighting chance they can't women with their bare hands, as you well know. You got to break them. when we keep hearing that we need a unified front to deal with, why would we want a unified front? That means the IRGC is going to blow out the civilian side. We have them where we want them. They're fighting with each other, at least internally. They're in a tug-of-war right now. That's what you want. You don't want them united. and if they're united it might unfortunately be under the irgc they're the ones that have the arms and the numbers let's go back to the caller shall we yes we shall uh let us go to jay in new york how are you jay how you doing mark um okay regarding the uh regarding the redistricting, I think I have a very simple, albeit not perfect solution, but a lot better than what we got right now. What you do is do away with the districts. Have each party in the state put up a slate of candidates and the people vote for the party based on the percentage of the vote. Well, you have to amend the Constitution. You're not going to get the votes out of the House or the Senate, let alone the states. That's the problem. but wouldn't it make more sense though i i don't know i think with the democrat party any system you have they'll try to destroy it i think this is a power hungry party i think no rules apply and i think it's time we take the mittens off not just gloves the mittens off and we put the brass knuckles on and we play like they do no rules and dirty i really believe that You got to blow up the filibuster.
