you know I ain't doing reason Tell me what they seein' me feelin' like a deed Ain't nobody better now I got them all feared Ain't nobody better when I'm done and that's peer My point, let the peer in the rule disappear In one shot, year left, I'm gon' take Love of mine, I made it Hey everybody, welcome back to the One's Ready podcast You're in the team room This is your daily drop for the 10th of gonna kick things off Like we always do with the Army Army accepts first delivery of the XM-8 carbine The United States Army accepted its first shipment of XM-8 I'm just gonna call them M-8 carbine And six hour makes them It's lighter, shorter, 6.8mm weapon Is a variant of the M-7 rifle And is intended to replace the M-4 Which we all know and love For soldiers in close combat forces The initial delivery includes carbines, accessories Spare parts and contractor support Interesting about the contractor support Because, I don't know, I know the Army And I know the Air Force has armors Like no-kidding armors that they know how to work on Pistols, cruiser weapons, rifles All that kind of stuff Now maybe the contractor support is for a limited time Because maybe these armors don't have the training Because I know that there's certifications for glocks Or certifications for certain weapons and that kind of stuff So maybe the contractor support is to provide that training That kind of train the trainer kind of thing I'm guessing, I sure hope that we're not putting contractors Every single unit that has these things in the Army Because that's a lot of money Alright, on to the next Survivors of the Iranian attack in Kuwait dispute Pentagon account Survivors of the Iranian attack in Kuwait That killed six US service members disputed The Pentagon's description of the events They stated their unit was left dangerously exposed And unprepared to defend itself The incident remains under review Well, I don't know any details of that But that does not sound good From either end, whether you're The Pentagon getting called out for it Or if you're those folks that were In Kuwait during the attack Kind of pointing the finger and saying Like me, because when you do that You expose yourself to things that You as the ground forces Could have done better Right, and that's what I mean by It's dangerous for both parts Pentagon gets blamed for a whole bunch of stuff But they've got enough money and Rank and resources to kind of go Yeah, whatever you guys were moving on However, I've seen these things in 15-6s, which if you guys don't know what that is That's an investigation, it's the form used for For investigations, that kind of stuff But I guarantee that they're going to see That things could have been done better On the ground and they're going to criticize them Just saying, criticize, critique, whatever you want to call it Alright, next The Army advances contractor run rotary wing pilot training The Army advanced at least two bidders In its efforts to overhaul rotary wing pilot training By outsourcing to contractors The move follows years of safety concerns With the current system It aims to improve efficiency and Address persistent training shortfalls Okay, well, here's the problem Like I love contractors, I'm a contractor But what I have seen and experienced In special tactics, who we use contractors a lot Is we miss out on the development Of our airmen, or we'll just say Junior enlisted, junior NCOs, our senior NCOs Like we are outsourcing the professional development Of these folks, and it's great at first It is expensive, but it is great at first But it should not be the solution It should be more of a mutual support Or an aid, if you will, not the solution So I think that's a really bad idea I don't know the ins and outs of it But just going by my own experiences I think that's a bad idea Alright, moving on to the Navy The Navy awards top mess halls for food service excellence The Navy announced winners of its annual award Recognizing excellence in food, service aboard vessels Boats and installations The awards highlight outstanding performance In galley operations and sailor satisfaction This recognition supports morale and readiness Cross-fleet, there is a, I don't know Maybe it's a five minute or eight minute YouTube video Because I always wondered what it's like to eat in a galley Like in the kitchen and all this kind of stuff Especially when you talk about a boat or a submarine It's one thing when you talk about the larger destroyers And aircraft carriers, like that's a miniature city floating But when you're subsurface underway on a sub What do those galleys look like? What do those kitchens look like? What kind of food do they serve and that kind of thing Like this YouTube video, like I said It's five to ten minutes, something like that And it's almost like a how things are made kind of video Pretty cool, though Still not for me Alright, next, navy introduces free wifi in barracks in Greece and Italy The navy expanded free high speed wifi access to unaccompanied housing In Italy and Greece, the initiative improves quality of life For service members stationed overseas And as part of the broader global effort to enhance barracks connectivity I think this is a great thing Because wifi can get expensive Now I will say That when you start talking about Wifi Routers and service For a bunch of people like a large building like multiple barracks and stuff like that The price for these things goes up substantially I know that we spend Mmm I'm gonna say it's I'll say it's upwards of 30 grand a year On wifi where I work So if that gives you any idea how much this costs It's not like your wifi at home kind of thing But the good news is that Usually you get faster connectivity, faster download, upload speeds And then you have a dedicated support cell for you So if something goes down, you call them, they're out there immediately So that is good I think this is the right move Not that what I think matters Alright, on to the Marine Corps Marine Corps plans to phase out civilian family readiness coordinators by 2030 The Marine Corps will eliminate civilian family readiness coordinator positions by 2030 Responsibilities will shift to uniform personnel and volunteers The change aims to streamline support for families during deployments I'm not familiar with this anyway So I don't know what a family readiness coordinator is Maybe I'm just out of touch Which is likely it happens frequently But or maybe that's just something in the Marine Corps Alright, next Marines conduct first person FPV, rather Drone strike on unmanned vessel from naval aircraft The Marines and naval special warfare operators launched a first person view drone From a boat and struck an unmanned vessel in the Pacific The test marked a milestone in integrating small unmanned systems into amphibious operations It expands maritime strike operation in condensed environments That's cool they did that I'll tell you what When you start talking about electronics or just the sea in general Even when you're trying to waterproof weapons and stuff like that It is an unforgiving environment So the fact that they're able to get an FPV up And successfully and get it strike a target That's pretty freaking awesome Before we get into the air force, you guys know we've got our national operator training summit coming up We have a currently serving special tactics officer that's going to be there So if you're interested in any of the officer stuff He is there to help instruct and mentor you and answer any of your questions He was also a prior SEER guy too So if you're interested in SEER and you want to come out and train You probably should and you can pick his brain about what it's like to be an enlisted SEER guy He was also enlisted combat controller as well He's just kind of gone through the gambit But slots are filling up You guys don't want to miss this and we're going to have to close this out here pretty soon So don't miss your chance You can go to OperatorTrainingSummit.com Alright moving on to the Air Force Air Force offers aviation bonuses up to $50,000 per year The Air Force is offering active duty aviators up to $50,000 annually In the bonuses for shorter contract extensions to retained pilots and other critical aircrew Eligible personnel with high demand skills can earn up to $600,000 I just want to say that again $600,000 Total through the fiscal year 2026 Aviation Bonus Program Applications are due by 31 May What that means is that they're breaking it down $50,000 annually Way bonuses work in the Air Force Unless these are special bonuses that work differently Is say I sign up for five years, an additional five years And I get a certain amount We'll just for math purposes, you know, $50,000 Right, so $250,000 over the five years Usually what you get is, well according to this You're just going to get $50,000 annually It's not like you go, hey I'm going to keep going a year at a time A year at a time and get $50,000 a year You have to commit for a certain amount of time and then you'll get the $50,000 a year Alright next Air Force develops probe refueling after Sorry Air Force develops probe refueling adapter for A-10 The Air Force led by the Air National Guard Reserve Or Air National Guard Air Force Reserve Command Test Center, geez Developed a probe refueling adapter for the A-10 The modification adds probe and drogue capability alongside the existing boom system It increases refueling flexibility for the aging close air support aircraft Okay, so I guess we're still developing things for the A-10 Even though it's supposed to be going away Which I don't think it should be going away, I think we need to keep it We've been keeping the buff to be 52 around a long time We've been keeping KC-135s around for a very long time Maybe, just maybe, the A-10 Especially with all their capabilities with close air support Combat search and rescue, their Sandy mission, their FACA mission Maybe we should just hang on to the hog That's my vote Alright, next, on to the Space Force Space Force selects 14 firms for $1.8 billion GEO surveillance program The Space Force selected 14 companies to compete for contracts under the Oh boy, Andromeda Program Valued it up to $1.8 billion The firms will develop maneuverable satellites in geosynchronous orbit surveillance Providing neighborhood watch, or quote unquote neighborhood watch Capabilities to track threats The indefinite delivery, indefinite quality Quantity rather is IDIQ, vehicle spans 10 years I say IDIQ because that's what everybody knows it as It's pain in the ass to say indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity Alright, on to the Coast Guard Coast Guard seeks contractors for drone services on cutters and shore sites The Coast Guard issued a request to identify contractors capable of providing and operating drone equipment and services The platforms will support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance from cutters and shore based locations This effort expands unmanned capabilities for maritime domain awareness All that makes sense to me, it's much easier to launch an unmanned aerial vehicle Go check out some stuff, wreck it, and then you get real time recording If you've got to send a boat out because you're the Coast Guard You've got to send something out to go get some money, you can do it Alright, nothing for the Secretary of Defense And then moving on to the President of the United States President Trump considers reducing the United States troops in Europe President Trump discussed with advisors the possibility of withdrawing some United States troops from Europe The move stems from frustration with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization or NATO allies Lack of support in securing the Strait of Hormuz and stalled plans regarding Greenland No final decision has been made Man, I really enjoyed my assignment in Europe and getting to travel all over That would be a shame if that completely goes away for everybody else, but...dude Things are getting serious Alright, on to operational stuff United States Central Command reports casualties from Operation Epic Fury Sencom reported that 13 United States service members were killed and 381 wounded during the 40 days of Operation Epic Fury against Iran The figures include personnel from all services supporting the campaign The United States forces remain positioned in the region and ready to resume operations if the ceasefire fails Next, High States Talks scheduled for Islamabad on Iran's ceasefire The United States and Iranian officials are scheduled to meet in Islamabad, Pakistan this weekend to negotiate terms of the tenuous two-week ceasefire Fighting continues in part of the Middle East and any agreement remains fragile Fragile, fragile, whatever you want to say Pakistan is mediating the discussion, which is hilarious Alright, that's all I got for you guys today Don't forget to like, subscribe, hit that notification bell
