Teddi Mellencamp and Tamra Judge recap 'The Valley: Persian Style,' discussing relationship dynamics among cast members including Skye and Bombshot's deteriorating marriage, Mercedes and Tommy's financial and emotional struggles, and Gigi's controversial request for ex-husband Dennis to fund her $14,000 monthly rent.
Insights
- Reality TV cast members struggle with accountability and conflict resolution, with some refusing to apologize or take responsibility for their actions despite group confrontation
- Financial imbalance in relationships creates resentment and power dynamics, particularly when one partner is the primary income earner while the other lacks engagement or contribution
- Unresolved trauma from past relationships significantly impacts current partnerships, as seen with Amir's difficulty moving forward after his first wife's death
- Social media presence and influencer status create pressure to maintain on-camera relationships and attend events regardless of genuine conflict or discomfort
- Entitlement and lack of humility despite newfound wealth can damage relationships and group dynamics, creating friction with those who built their success differently

I'm Amanda Knox, and in the new podcast, Doubt, the case of Lucy Letby, we unpack the story of an unimaginable tragedy that gripped the UK in 2023. But what if we didn't get the whole story? Evidence has been made to fit. The moment you look at the whole picture, the case collapsed. What if the truth was disguised by a story we chose to believe? Oh my God, I think she might be innocent. Two T's in a Pod with Teddy Mellencamp and Tamara Judge. hi guys welcome to another episode of two teas in a pod with myself teddy mellencamp and tamra judge hey hey hey hey hey hey so okay i just want to imagine how annoyed you would be if you went down to sit at lunch and our with vicky and and shannon shows up and then my purse gets taken so I can't leave yes or apply new lip gloss um yeah I mean it was a pretty smart move on RJ I mean I'm growing to really like him you know he gets on his social media and does like some like inspirational stuff for what I don't know you have to go look he thinks he's like a therapist that's weird maybe he should team up with amanda oh my god that'd be a great couple and then they can add tony robbins in there too oh my god yeah might as well get it all going but they're at lunch rj leaves sky and tana to chat alone after he's put them together without them knowing and i i I legitimately don't think they knew the other one was not coming. I don't either. I do not either. Because I think that a sky probably would have not gone. She's very stubborn. Sky, her bitch face is better than any bitch face I've ever seen. It comes from inside. She is not messing around with that bitch face like that is it puts your bitch face to shit. Well, I mean, Tanner was apologizing and sky just does not know how to say sorry. It's just not going to happen. Yeah, I mean, she feels bad that everyone ganged up on her and she apologizes for telling Reza about the serum situation. But then Skye takes no accountability. She's still justifying that she put the... I got to say, I watched this closely. I don't remember her putting any of that serum on her face before she rubbed it on her dog's belly. She didn't. Yeah. Which makes it kind of worse now that I think about it. Yeah, like she just put it on her dog. Like if she's like, I didn't see a moment where she was like using these fingers and like dabbing it on and doing all the things that people do when they put on serums. I didn't see any of that. Yeah. But she still gets into talking about if she bought her jewelry at wholesale or on deal. Like she's just not getting it. No. How about the flashback where it shows Tannen was right and Reza did start the conversation. Oh, yeah. I love them flashbacks. But I still don't think it was like a major gang up. I don't think it was a gang up at all. And I don't think she had any reason to go from like zero to 60 that quick. And then to go off on Reza like that. And now we're going to have to see all these split up filmings. She's very angry. But I'm not going to want to see. I don't need to see her husband attending events and fighting her battles. Without her, yeah. Yeah, like I don't need that. I also don't need to hear Tommy burp anymore. oh god it's like he's either talking about shitting or burping it's like could you imagine that's your husband you put him on camera that's all he talks about and you want him on camera more yeah that's the surprising part yeah why but before we even get to that sky is like the woman who will hit you with the car and then blame you for the damage yes uh-huh that's like that's exactly who she is. She's the type that would put you in her trunk and then go with everybody trying to find you. Skye, can you please tell me if I know you? Because I'm 99% sure we've done a workout class together. You brought your body jewelry there and I really liked it. And then I realized how expensive it was. And then I chickened out and didn't buy it. Hell no. Because then I was like- So obviously you have, you have. I really feel like in my heart of hearts, I've met her, but I don't know. It wasn't- You left a lasting impression on her. But it was in the Valley. Huh. Maybe I'll get a Tannen's discount. Oh, good luck with that. I think the price just went up now. But who's more insufferable, Tommy or Skye? The problem is Skye is just doing problems to herself, I think. Skye is just creating her own. shitstorm that she lives in. And I think that Tommy is hurting Mercedes. I also think Tommy's freaking funny. He's got this little element of funny to him. I think just getting to know from the past episodes where he lost his mom, he was homeless, he slept on a park bench in the Bronx and all that stuff. I think that Sky's just annoying. annoying. I think Tommy's a little bit troubled. And I think Tommy truly doesn't want to be with the group. It's not like Sky where she wants to just be bang back. We're hearing more of what went down and he had to go to anger management. It was like a whole year process of did he go to jail and all kinds of stuff that happened between him and Reza. Yeah. So I wouldn't want anything to do with him either. But did you notice even when he brought something to one of the houses he like so quickly put it like on the side of the curb like he couldn't even walk it anymore forward like the orange juice was like but I don't remember what what happened like was it Tommy's fault was it Rez's fault like both their faults like because I don't know but the the part that I took from this conversation was Mercedes talking about how she's having to manage their income. Well, I think that's a big problem. I think that she's the moneymaker in the house. And I think that she resents, starts to resent him for not bringing an income. Well, I think if you're the moneymaker, you also have somebody who won't go anywhere with you. You also have somebody that's constantly burping and farting and doing whatever all over you. Like how often is he kind and nice to her? Like, where is the warmness? There has to be some sort of intimacy there for you to want to be in that relationship. I think that he uses humor. But that gets old all the time. Yeah. He has a hard time expressing himself, I think, and a hard time emotionally. So he just uses his disgusting humor, thinking it's funny. Like, parts are funny. Like, he does make me laugh. But then it's like, I want to see a little bit of softer side, especially when you see Mercedes upset. Mm-hmm. And you can feel like she's hurting. Also, he didn't even offer to help paint that room one bit. No, he didn't. You're right. Even the high parts. He's a hard worker, that guy. To me it feels like the fight is truly because Mercedes wants to be back on TV and he doesn I think so But I think this from what I heard has been a long time Like the demise of their marriage has been going on for a long time Yeah Hi, this is Jo Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter Podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life. And I just sat down with a mini driver. The Irish traveler said when I was 16, you're going to have a terrible time with men. actor storyteller and unapologetic aquarian visionary aquarius is all about freedom loving and different perspectives and i find a lot of people with strong placements in aquarius like are misunderstood a sun and venus in aquarius in her seventh house spark her unconventional approach to partnership he really has taught me to embrace people sleeping in different rooms on different houses and different places, but just an embracing of the isness of it all. If you're navigating your own transformation or just want a chart side view into how a leading artist integrates astrology, creativity, and real life, this episode is a must listen. It began as a one-night stand and ended in a courtroom, with Clayton at the center of a very strange paternity scandal. The media is here. This case has gone viral. The dating contract. Agree to date me. But I'm also suing you. Please search for it. This is unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. I'm joined by Luke Combs, award-winning country music artist and one of the most authentic voices in music today. Luke opens up about success, self-doubt, mental health, and what it really takes to stay true to who you are when your life changes overnight. I hate fame. I hate the word celebrity. I hate those words that you make me uncomfortable. But I think when you get to a certain point, the fame or the success or the influence, it just accentuates and exacerbates the inherent person that you are. The guy that says he's always going to be there and that will do anything to be there is the only guy that's not there. I'm in Australia when Bo was born. My whole identity is that no matter what, I'm going to prioritize my wife and my children over my job. I dread the conversation with my son. What do you think you'd say? Listen to On Purpose with Jay Shetty on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Ready for a different take on Formula One? Look no further than No Grip, a new podcast tackling the culture of motor racing's most coveted series. Join me, Lily Herman, as we dive into the underexplored pockets of F1, including the astrology of the current grid, Lewis Hamilton, Capricorn Sun, Cancer Moon. Wouldn't you know it, Michael Schumacher is also a Capricorn Sun, Cancer Moon. The story of the sport's most consequential driver's strike. We have one man who, upon hearing that he was going to be fired, freaked out, and apparently climbed out the window of the bathroom. And was Daniel Ricciardo's illustrious F1 career a success story, a cautionary tale, or some combination of both? He started getting all this attention, and he maybe started to think, I'm bigger than this, I'm better. And plenty of other mishaps, scandals, and sagas that have made Formula One a delightful, decadent dumpster fire for more than 75 years. Listen to No Grip on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Sky and Bombshot have dinner. Oh my God, this is one of the worst fights I've seen between a married couple. The things they said to each other, the way she talked to them. Do they like each other at all? No, no. It was quite obvious right there. I mean, it's like Skye's trying to punish him. She says she's mad because he doesn't stand up for her. He apologizes, but she says she'll be mad for the rest of her life. The rest of her life? That's a long time. I can't even stay mad for like a week. I mean, if I said the rest of my life, it might be a short time. Shut up. Shut your mouth. It could be a very, very long time. Well, she thinks she's boss of this relationship. She's acting more like an entitled princess. Have we seen her kids at all or no? Yeah, we did in the very beginning, but not the twins. She has the twins, like a little bit older, not tiny, tiny, but not teenagers. But the entitlement when she doesn't, I don't know, she didn't come from anything. Like she didn't have money. I'm sure she's comfortable now but just the things she says like didn't Tannen say like it's the way you talk to people and saying like what was it? Well Tannen said like you know I give her grace because she came over here by herself she had to build everything Yeah but you should be humble Right that should make you then The opposite The opposite Instead she's but I don't know remember at the very beginning when they said they never even wanted to get married they didn't believe in marriage it was a marriage of convenience maybe but when your own husband is saying you've always been self-centered that's not good no you've always been self-centered I'll be mad at you for the rest of my life Sky wanted to cuss him out so badly the only thing stopping her was the cameras well they had They had some choice words in there. They did. And she's like, don't you ever talk to me like that again. I mean, and she's got her hat on and it's tipped just perfectly. And she is now messing around. He's afraid of her. He's afraid of her. She seems like her drink order would be, can I have a vodka, lemon, three lemons. I have to hear that one more time. Three limes, squeeze carcass out. Then she's like, at least you take me to a nice restaurant this time. I know. She's just a snob. Yeah. Whatever. We should have taken her to the weed cafe with Gigi and Reza and MJ. They were just smoking out like nobody's business. But I don't think Reza was smoking. Oh, that's right. There was so much smoke. You don't know who had it and who was lit up. Gigi, Reza, and Mercedes, they all go to the weed cafe. Gigi tells them about the house she wants to rent for $14,000 a month. She tells them she's going to ask Dennis for $3,000 a month to help. I love when she said, I was married to him for a week and he cheated on me. He owes me alimony. He owes me alimony. Seriously, only Gigi can get away with going from get the fuck out of here to help me sell my dildos and pay rent. Right, right. And it's just like the worst possible decision ever. Being married for one week and you think you deserve alimony. And this $3,000 a month, she's still paying a ton of money. $11,000, yes. I wonder if $11,000 is what her dad's paying right now on her current place. Probably. I can't with her. Then Mercedes tells Gigi that the Twilight open house is at her sister's house and Golnesa says she can't make it. Well, why does she expect her to make it? I don't know. They don't get along, right? Well, the way that Gigi flipped that conversation on Mercedes was masterful. She's like, well, is Tommy going? I know. She's good. Yeah. She's like, oh, if Tommy's not coming, well, I'm not uncomfortable. I'm uncomfortable going too. Well, do you think MJ is wrong for using Gigi's sister's house as a spotlight on the show? Well, I don't think she has another option. So, yeah. So it's her only listing, right? Yeah. Well. Because we see even scenes from next week where Mo comes up and he's like, well, I mean, it needs a redo. The lighting's not great. the walls are not great yeah it didn't do the show I mean it's not like it did the house any favors it's probably still on the market yeah oh my gosh but yeah she definitely was not going but was the sister there Yeah She was there Okay yeah Yeah the sister was there Then Amir and Natasha talk about birth control. This was interesting. This was a different conversation for the two of them because we've only seen them being in emotional situations, talking about his wife that passed away. Then we had the psychic medium there talking, bringing the wife through. and now it's like, no, you go on birth control. No, you get sniffed. No, no. I'm like, no, why are you curling your hair right before bed? That's what I, okay. I thought I was losing my mind. I'm like, is she curling her hair to go to bed? That's what I couldn't, I was like, are they going out now? Is she shaving when he has a beard? I don't know what he was shaving, maybe trimming things up. and then she's curling her hair and I'm like, do they like fake that this is night? Like they're going out now? What are they doing? What are they doing? Like, or she'd curl her hair, she can sleep on it. And so it looks better. I mean, we need to know, does she wear it like the kids do these days with their hair and the wraps? I know. Well, the thing is, it's like Natasha did deliver three kids to Syria and you can go get a vasectomy. Okay, man up, go take your balls in there and have them fixed. But I understand what he's saying. That's what I was going to say. On the flip side, he says, my ex who passed, she so badly wanted kids. And so the idea of me just- And they were trying to have kids when she passed away. So he's like, I think it's a little traumatic for him. Yeah. I mean, I think it's got to be a lot traumatic for him. I think that every day there's probably a trigger. Yeah. Because if they, you know, I don't think it's that he doesn't, like, I think he loves Natasha. I think Natasha loves him. I think they're the best people on the show. Yes, I'll agree with that. I think. I mean, I don't, you sure MJ and Tommy aren't? But I don't think that they've had some of the hard conversations that you need to have. And they have three kids. If I were a betting woman, they're going to get pregnant again. I think so too. And then also like, I know I can't even put myself in that situation to be with somebody that lost their wife. But at what point do you stop feeling that weirdness or for him, like the overall sadness he goes through all the time? I know. What about when she said, I'm going to start going with you to bring the flowers once a year? I don't know that I would. Would you do that? I would like to know that I'd be invited. I don't know that I would go. I'd be like, if that's your moment with your loved, your lost one, then have it. I don't need to be there. But then it might change him as a whole and be like, okay, we're all three in this. Maybe it would help him move on. Yeah. You know? I mean, obviously, he's never going to forget her, his first wife. No. It's a very sad situation. But he now has, he's remarried and has three kids. So how long has it been since his wife passed? I mean, it's got to be at least eight years. Yeah. And I think if you're the other wife and always feeling like you're maybe second choice or something like that, it could be hard. It could be hard. And you always wonder, you know, does he love me the way he loved her? Right. That'd be a hard thing to carry around. It would. And was Daniel Ricciardo's illustrious F1 career a success story, a cautionary tale, or some combination of both? Listen to No Grip on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. then mj and tommy paint a room in the house you mean mj paints the room yeah he watches and burps just waiting for the fart next um we forgot to talk about the text oh yeah resins the text at the beginning when they're at the weed shop and it's just pretty much like i would i'd love to see you again how are you blah blah blah because they're all upset that he's not going to be anywhere with MJ. And Tommy responds to the text, which surprised me. I know, but he also said something along the lines, like after filming the show, you know, we can maybe get together to make amends. Not just for the sake of the show. Like he wants to do this like face-to-face. He's afraid if he doesn't on camera, it'd be all fake. Yeah. I mean, I see that. I mean. As viewers, though, we want to see it. We want to see the sit down. I mean, that's what I was going to say. I'm sorry. The only way that Tommy and Reza need to be together is if it's with cameras. Yeah. Well, we know how that ends. Yeah. We know how that ends. Not well. Then Amira and Natasha throw their party. Reza tells everyone that Gigi is asking Dennis to pay for her part. Didn't he learn his lesson the last time? Reza, he's messy. That's why we love him. Tells everyone that Gigi is asking Dennis to pay for a part of her rent. Bombshaw shows up to the party without Skye and Mercedes says she should be on the outside too but she still thinks Skye should have shown up I think I mean didn Skye and Tannen make up Is there, was there? No. So that whole conversation that they didn't end well? No, that whole conversation, it just ended in like, okay, we're both. We can be cordial to each other. Yeah. Like I think it ended. Well, even if you're cordial, like you could still show up. yeah but then she has to talk to everybody else that she's been fighting she's still fighting with her husband she knows she's on a tv show did she miss the memo because if we're gonna have to keep going to events and she's not going to be there and we're gonna have to see her husband's there recapping with mom shot then what's the point well this is the problem if she doesn't show up then she's going to be iced out of the group even more and it's going to give people more reasons to sit around and talk about her. Well, all I can say is it made all of a sudden George's wedding feel like the best wedding ever, their marriage. For a while, remember, we were worried about them. Now we're not. Not anymore. Not anymore. And I kind of thought when we first started watching Sky that she was exaggerating for cameras. Like she wasn't actually sleeping in a separate bed. Like I thought she was kind of like a try hard. No, we are learning like this is her and this is what she's revealing. Could you imagine what 100% is going on in that relationship? And he's just such a puss. I think he's learned. Pick your battles. She's probably like a freaking tornado when she's mad. Yeah, but I mean, he sits there and he talks and he's like, you know, I made a mistake. I didn't have her back. But also like- But he did. Like as much as he could, if you're wrong, you're wrong. If Eddie's wrong about something, I can't like sit there and subscribe to that and go, yeah, you know, no. I would say, no, babe, you're wrong. Yeah. If you can't do that in a marriage or a friendship, then what is that? Yeah. Then you're constantly, it's just not feasible to believe that your partner is going to always agree with you. And she was in the wrong. Yeah. And she did it rudely to multiple people. I know. But I thought the party with the kids was nice. Yeah, that was nice. I think that seeing Gigi with her son, like seeing everybody with their kids. Stupid. Johnny said stupid. Johnny said stupid. And she's like, well, just say we don't use those type of words. Yeah. She's over there, motherfucker, with her joint. But I think those kind of things are cute, like seeing all the kids together and like that they all do have a relationship together, which is my wonder is like if maybe Sky was like an implant later on. Possibly. Was the other Reza, was he there? He was, he just, he left with the purses and we never saw him again. Thanks for the bags, girls. I'm out. I think he came to the party for a minute, but he didn't get involved. I'm so trying to figure this guy out. Like, I need to see more because some minutes he looks like the biggest douche lord. He looks like the fuck boy. He looks like the peacekeeper. Like, he wears many hats in this friend group. And he's always on dates. We've seen him on two dates so far. I have a feeling he's got a really good heart. Like I feel like he's a good guy. Yeah. He's a good guy, but he's something else. That's for sure. He's just trying to make some good TV. But I like to take those chains off and button his shirt up and he'll be just fine. What about what you're doing? It's mom getting on involved with the- The lifeguard? The lifeguard. And you know that he's like this close, like he's a quarter of an inch away from going, get the fuck away from me. Yeah. He's like, yes, I am a lifeguard. I teach swim lessons for a living. Yes. She's like, well, shouldn't you be over there? He's like, no, I should be here. But that's the deep end. It's like, you're in the deep end. Get them out of the deep end. And the kids are over there unbothered. Yeah, they're over there unbothered. They're all splashing in the water. They're over there 16 swimming perfectly. I know, they're doing backflips off the diving board. water spitting out of their mouth as they're floating in their back. But the show is winning me over. But I still want to know, I am going to freak out if we end up finding out that Gigi gets money from Dennis. I think she's going to get it. And I think it's going to be written off as like a business expense. That's how he's going to do it. For the dildos? Dildo. Yeah. It's dildo money. oh because she's gonna need you heard a hush money this is dildo money she's gonna need to film in the house yeah so she's gonna film herself using the dildo or is it like when i hope not that's a whole nother uh network well she's on only fans too well maybe she's maybe she's promoting her dildos on only fans i mean it would be the smart thing to do because i feel like you've you've promoted a sex toy before but you just held it. I know, but you just held it. You too could feel the vibration. There's three different modes. There's three speeds and it sucks too. Oh my God, I would never do that again. I would never do that again. I didn't do that one, but I did receive it. I think we got it offered around the same time and I'm the dumb one. No, but either way. I'll take that five grand, 10 grand, whatever it was, I can't remember. That was funny. Yeah, well, it's a good show. And I wonder if she's going to get that 3,000. But if she's going to go for 3,000 bucks, why not go for more? Four, at least four. Like just, you know. Just go for 5,000 a month. Yes. Or why don't you ask for 10 and then you pay the four? Yeah, or why not? Let's look for a boyfriend. I mean, is 3,000 a month going to be that big of a deal? That's what I'm saying. You have 15 or 14,000 a month rent. And that's not even counting expenses. She's got one child. And so many bedrooms. I know. It doesn't look like Reza lives in some big old house. No, it definitely does not. Why does she have to? Because Reza has one little small closet. And she has four bedrooms of closets. I do too that's frightening to me every closet in the house all the spare bedrooms have my clothes in them and then I have three rolling racks in here and I'm sure it looks amazing it's a problem and all I wear is sweats yeah and then we wear the same things I buy things and I just hang them up I hang them up oh I forgot I had that I forgot I had that bye Hi, it's Jill Winterstein, host of the Spirit Daughter podcast, where we talk about astrology, natal charts, and how to step into your most vibrant life.
