Hello, welcome to the bus. Good morning. We're back on the bus. It's Friday. Everybody liked us on the bus, so we thought we'd do it again. Yes, I don't know. You guys like us on the bus. I'm not a big bus fan. I like riding the bus. No. Instead of the plane, but filming on the bus is not my name. Right, I like to sleep on the bus. Well, I like to not have trauma from the bus. Like, revisit a trauma. But it's fine. It's fine. So we're on the road. We just did a Dallas in Atlanta. And tonight we're doing Charlotte. So by the time you guys listen to this, we'll have done another leg of the tour, which we are going to talk about in just a moment. But it's been so much fun. Oh my God. Yeah. I'm eating everyone. Everybody is having fun. I hope so. I do. I hope everyone's having fun. They are crazy. They are crazy. Like dressing up and having fun. Oh yeah. Some of them will talk about something after 10 minutes, but we have to start off by discussing. Apologizing. Apologizing and addressing, if you will, an issue from this week's main episode, because at the end of the episode, I was reading a tweet where someone said, is Abby racist? She's really eaten to Nia. And we commented on that. I did. You commented on that and you said, go ahead. Well, I said that I think Abby is mean to everyone. You were commenting in that moment. Yes. On like about that tweet, I was not saying Abby was never racist to Nia. I mean, obviously we all know that she was. We even talked about it. Yeah. The little tooty comment. Well, not just that. There was so many things that we were witnesses to and I read Nia's book and I think I said, there was a lot of things that I didn't know about. I didn't realize were problematic because I wouldn't have thought of it through that lens. And I have not read her book. Maybe I should. I don't know. I don't know a lot of the things that Nia talked about with Nia because I was gone. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of stuff that she talks about in the book did happen after we left. I think everybody had their own experience. I wasn't trying to diminish Nia's feelings or anything like that. And I don't think that we can deny that there is definitely a different undertone with everything that Abby said to Nia that the other girls didn't face simply based on the fact that there probably were racist undertones. And so I will just say I am so I feel very badly that the way I said things wasn't supportive. But I think that's a problem is I didn't say anything and therefore it felt as though. I wish you would have because I didn't mean to offend anyone. I don't know. I just felt like in that moment. Yeah. I understand where you're coming from. I also think that we have to be mindful moving forward that everything that Nia goes through does probably have a racist undertone to it that we might not have been aware of. And we should. And the only thing I can say is we'll do better. Like we'll do better. I'm sorry. I did not mean it to be offensive. I know and I know Abby has done racist things to me. But and to everyone. Yeah. Well not everyone but anyone of color who's come on to the show. We've seen it. Yeah. So again trying to learn and be better. I think we are as we go through it. So just as an example of we made a mistake and we're holding ourselves accountable. But I will say when I say or do things I and this has been a new thing just in life in general. Like I come I always try to come from a place of like what are my what are my values and like how I see things. And I need to I just need to do better. Like you know I think we all need to do better and we live in a different day and age where these issues are more prevalent and we all need to collectively do better. And we're sorry. Like we made a huge mistake and didn't mean to be offensive. Obviously we were and I don't know other than to just say we're sorry and not coming from a malicious place. So no. And just honestly holding people accountable because that's how we all move forward. Right. So you guys held us accountable. We're going to hold ourselves accountable and we have to hold others who did the did the deeds accountable. And moving on. OK so we we were talking about meeting you guys at the shows which is really fun. And we all know that we saw like our drag queen who was the better Kelly than Kelly. She is just so quick. Just so clean. Or just just just just is the name is just just so clean. But now we have seen people starting to show up. I mean oh my god we had a Vivi. We had a bumblebee in the crowd. She was amazing. And I was dead every time she stood up and did the dance. She did the dance throughout the whole show. She was great. We had somebody as Abby. Oh my god. Yeah. I mean that's kind of a common one. Yeah. Last night we had a Kristie and Leslie from New Orleans. They had Marty's Abbey's on. Yes. They were carrying their arcane. They were so free because they were like we used to play dance moms growing up like that was a game they played. Like I was I've never heard of that. I thought that was very funny. And then half the audience raised their hand and cheered that they did it too. Yeah. And then we had a lot of people who were like we had fan pages. We had lots of people who are making friends at the meet and greets. Yeah. And we call them the meet and greets. It shows. Meet and greets are different. Yeah. At the shows people are making friends. There are people on the Patreon. So if you're not on Patreon go to patreon.com. And they're like doing little meetups before at restaurants. I love how they meet in line. Yeah. They all meet in line. They're meeting in line and they end up holding each other's bags while like if their picture is taken and like it's kids they just. It is cute. They come by themselves all the time. Oh yeah. And people bring their kids. We had kids last night that were not. We had a baby the other night. Like a baby. I felt bad yesterday because the little girl who came the whole family came. Uh huh. For her birthday. Oh and she got so excited. And she got sick. Yeah. So the mother and the little sister got to watch the whole show but the dad and the daughter left and I felt so bad. Did they leave the whole time? I don't know. They were gone for a while. So I don't know if they ever did come. I can't. Well I mean we have I mean we have such a broad range. I mean we have mothers and sons. We have mothers and daughters. We have big groups. We had bachelorette parties. I mean just so many different groups. And again like we said we asked you guys about fan pages which we have two speak pipes. We're going to play in a moment. But I want to know if you made a friend or found a friend somewhere in your lifetime through Dance Moms. Like did you have a fan page together? Did you meet in college because you both started talking about Dance Moms and that's how you bonded. That's a cute one right? I thought people would say that. That you know they would get together and they're a dorm and watch the show. Yeah. So if that's you we want to hear your stories on speak pipe. And then last night last week we played a speak pipe with the funny drunk stories. And the girl who drank the what was it the the sonic not the big gulp but the um. Oh um. Oh my gosh. Baja freeze or something. Oh the bio half rash. Yeah. The bio half rash. She was at the event last night and she's like it was me I met my husband or my fiance and she showed us our ring and we're meeting so many of you guys that we know you through the comments that you've made. Yeah it's funny that we to put a face with the name. Yes. You know. We also had people fly in from Lima Peru. From the city of California. People fly in from Lima Peru. From Israel. Oh yesterday. Yeah. England. England. People are coming from all over the world. We had Australia in Orlando. We had somebody from Australia. You guys are legit. Like if you're flying if you're getting on a plane. There are people who are complaining that we're in the suburbs of their city. Like why don't you go down count. Okay. I'm sorry. We had somebody flying from Israel. Like you can drive 20 minutes to the suburbs. I didn't even think like we were flying back and forth to them places right now. I don't know. I don't know. But we had a yeah I mean it's just crazy how many people are are showing up and exciting to see. It is exciting to see. Well do you want to play the speak pipes. So you have two speak pipes of people I think it's two who have sent in their stories about the city. I feel like I'm on the phone. Oh God Kelly is really she is here. She's just off camera the entire time. You've been off camera this entire video. Really. Yes you keep digging in your bag and not paying attention. Well I'm trying to find I was trying to find a cough drop because everybody bitches that I cough all the time. Well I'm sorry I have like an issue like I'm sick all the time. And now I can't find my phone. Shock it. Go like this screen shot. Shut up. Find my phone. I don't have my phone yesterday she was trying to get her phone to turn off and she was like turn off and her phone's like this is above my pay grade. I cannot turn off. Well it would help if I didn't have my life in like 10 bags. Yes it is. Seriously my phone's gone. Stand up is it underneath you. I don't think so. No. How about last night after the show one of the. Well first of all somebody was trying to set up with their uncle last night. Oh I know I hope she sends me a picture. Yeah she's like send email me DM me I'm like Kelly don't check your DMs. Well I will. Yeah sure you will. Because her uncle apparently works at where Kelly goes on Thursday nights. Every Thursday night I go to this one place they have like outdoor music and stuff. He works there. Yeah. Just gonna look. And but then last night the security guard comes up to Kelly and he's like do you work out. I don't know if it's my medicine I take or my metapause but I've gained so much weight. I wanted to look at him and be like are you crazy. Yeah. I work out with my food mom. He's like do you work out. Kelly's like no. He liked you. He followed you outside while you were waiting for the user. He sat out with me. He wanted your number. Okay so we're gonna play these speak pipes. I don't have to. You have to just press play and hold it up. Oh hold up near your mic. Okay. Okay this is from Kayla. Oh hold on a minute. How do I put it on speaker. How about last night when my microphone didn't work. I'm like you guys this is so on brand for us. Stop. Our microphone does not work. Do this. Okay. Hold on. I can't give you anything. Alright let's go back. Alright let's turn the volume up. I think we're on speaker. Okay here we go Kayla. Exactly I have a fan account story but I do have a fan interaction story that I think is really funny. I accidentally met you Kristie and Jill and your two girls in Ireland about like seven years ago. And the only person to recognize you guys was my father. We were walking with my mom, my sister, my dad, my female cousin and my poor father. And my father was walking and he looked over into the street and he heard Jill talking. He went oh my god is that Jill from Dance Mom? So which I turned and went holy shit it is. And if you look at Kendall's photos from that day, I think you were actually taking the photos. You can see me and my dad in the background. My dad's like pointing at Kendall being like holy shit that's Kendall. So yeah I just thought that story was really funny. You guys were super nice to us. Like we were the first people to walk up. We are so sorry we sent to Bob after you where we're just like so excited to meet you guys. But yeah I just thought that story was funny and I thought I should tell it. Kayla that is a really cute story. And you know that happens a lot. With people recognizing our voices. It's a ball and it will be a mom, a dad and a daughter and the dad will recognize me. I'm like so odd that the dad will recognize me. He's like we watch every Tuesday. That's my father daughter time. The other thing is voice. People get our voices a lot. Somebody said to you last night they were from Pittsburgh. Well no. The guy from Pittsburgh. Well you have a different story. The one I was saying is the guy from Pittsburgh. Peach Farm. What? There's a peach farm right there. It's not peach season is it? I don't know. But it's your job for peaches. Oh that's cute. Jill loves a Georgia peach at Cheesecake Factory. That's her favorite drink to order. My mom used to drink that. They are cute. Well wait. So the guy last night he grew up in Pittsburgh and he moved to Georgia. And he said Kelly thank you for giving me comfort when I moved because I missed the Pittsburgh accent. So I listened to you and your Pittsburgh ease makes me feel like I'm at home. What was your story? He said somebody recognized you in the lobby. Oh the guy working behind the counter. Was it our voices that he recognized? Yeah I walked by and I said something to you and he's like oh you're famous. He's like you're like no not TikTok. Oh yeah I love when people are like we know you from TikTok. Yeah just TikTok. But that's how he recognized my voice. Just from the TikTok or whatever I guess. I don't know. Wait Kelly also discovered something really funny this week. What? You did not say alls I wanted. You didn't know. I don't think I say that. Okay you guys everybody please comment. I said I'm seeing you. It is like a viral TikTok thing where people say alls I wanted. Because I guess you say it on the show a lot. Really? Alls I wanted. People want our merch. Because we have a piece of merch that says I went to the bar with Kristie and Kelly. It's our tour shirt. People wanted to see say now alls I wanted was to go back to the bar with Kristie and Kelly. That would be funny though. That is a cute piece of merch. Maybe. Maybe. Hey we're listening. We're listening. You're going to have to do that. We're going to have to do that. Okay. Alright we have another. This is the speaker. I see that. Because we have an iPhone 8 here. Oh shut the fuck up. Screenshot. Screenshot. You have to tell. I'm lying. I don't really want Siri to screenshot. But that's Kelly when she tries to take a screen. Her button doesn't work. Screenshot. Screenshot. I like my phone. Screenshot. Alright so this is from Kaelin. Hi Kristie and Kelly. I love you guys so much. Your podcast gets me through work every single night. I would crave your assistance lonely and you guys can be there. That's why you guys are doing well because you help me out all the time. So back when I had my dance moves count. I actually had a dance move. So back when I had my dance moves count. I actually had a couple of them. But my biggest one had about 10,000 followers. I loved it. I made so many friends through it. Like honestly girls that I met in my hometown years later. Like in high school. When I was in elementary school I met them through the dance moves fandom. And I ended up meeting them in high school and we talked about it. And we're like oh my god. We used to DM each other when we were like. Welcome to the undertone podcast. Where we talk about all things creepy. It wants to be heard. We're listening to 10 mysterious audio recordings from an anonymous email. Oh my god. Were you implying there's hidden messages in it? Let me play it back in reverse. And it refuses to let go. Undertone the number one horror from A24. In cinemas now. Book your tickets. Hi. We're Backmarket. We sell expertly refurbished tech. Like phones for talking to your friends. Or your AI babysitter. The only thing I have is there was an account and I don't know how real or not it was but it was colloalucasiat.com I think it was when we were first started allowed using decimal points. Or Instagram user names or it was colloaciat.com or something like that. But it was followed by Chloe and he was well-christy and I had this belief that it was truly the website, I don't know, but they followed me, I followed them obviously. And it was to the point where they would DM me, DM them and I was using them for contests. I would, I know it's contests and they're my prize. So I was like, oh, I don't know if that's real. Maybe you can confirm or deny it. It wasn't us. It must be a story. And that's funny. Yeah, it wasn't us, that wasn't real but we love that you made friends through it. Yes. So you kind of are above ahead of the curve for next week's episode where we're saying call us with people you met and made friends with through Dance Woms. We love, listen, for all the problems that we get into on the internet with people mad and people being upset, I do think that the fandom is a really great fandom and loyal. And I love when you guys all connect and you have like a point of interest to start with us because it kind of makes us feel like we're like friend matchmakers, which I love. Yes. Do you have a word for us? Yes. Okay, we have a word. Oh no. You know what, we forgot. Thank God. I know, again. Again. Okay. So our urban dictionary word this week is what, Kelly? Uncle Kippy. You know what's funny? What is Kippy? I guess a name. But listen, how funny is this? My uncle, the one who I said reminded me of Rob from Traders when he was young, his wife had a brother, Kippy, and we all called him Uncle Kippy. Oh my gosh, that's funny. So as soon as I read that I'm like, Uncle Kippy? Isn't that really, this is probably... I don't even have a guess of what that would be. An Uncle Kippy. Maybe it's like... There's another feature. Kelly wants to stop for a hint. I want to go Kippy and Joe. Uncle Kippy. I mean, we know it's going to be something raunchy because Matt pulls them. Although I did tell him, you need to stop with any sort of like body excrement. Like, I do not even have a clue. Well, Ghostcheeks wasn't. But at least I had cheeks to work with. Right, Uncle Kippy. So I'm assuming it's a guy because it's an uncle. I'm guessing it's like a gross uncle that you don't want to sit next to a Thanksgiving. That's my guess. It's like that gross uncle that you're like, who? Yeah, but that embarrassing uncle. Like, you know, you have an embarrassing aunt all the time. Yeah. We'll go with that. Okay, so I got a text and asked what it means. Yes. Yeah. Now just to be clear, Uncle Kippy that I'm talking about was very nice. Oh, why? You don't want to get in trouble for talking about your uncle? In an inappropriate way. No, no. No. No. All right, let's see. That's an uncle Kippy. What does it mean? Uncle Kippy. While we're waiting for the answer, can we talk about that little message in a bottle drink I had yesterday? It was so cute. It was the cutest drink, but it also had the crushed ice, so like a snow cone. And it was mounted up over the drink. So as it's mounted up, the message looked like it was on a bottle and the message was like sitting on the top of it. So it looked like it was like on an island. Yeah. And then they had like a little flower thing with it. It was really cute. All right, what's an uncle Kippy? To eat or take almost all of something, but leaving behind just enough so that there's not too much to throw out. So there's too much to throw out. But there's not enough for a full amount or a serving. Oh, that's an uncle Kippy? God, that sounds like my everyday life. I, Uncle Kippy, every meal I eat, I leave like enough that you don't want to throw it away, but like it's just like a little bite later. I never, I know. That's why I don't know this word. I always eat my whole thing. That's not true. Oh, wait, no, I was going to say you had an uncle Kippy this morning, but it's because we ordered a second meal to take with us. Yeah. We did. We had lunch yesterday, then we ordered a second meal to take to the restaurant or to the hotel. So we had something to eat after the show. Yeah. Because we get down really late. The other night I sat in the lobby until 1 a.m. waiting for a pizza. Because I was starving. I missed that. Yeah, you did. So we, I'm curious to see how Charlotte is tonight. We've never done an event in Charlotte and we've never filmed in Charlotte. No, I like Charlotte. Dallas, we, oh, Dallas, no, it was me. Dallas, Chloe and Paige did an event here years ago. So we had like a Dallas connection. Chloe went to prom in Dallas. At Atlanta we filmed in a few times, but we've never had anything with Charlotte. So I will be very curious to see and to meet people in Charlotte. I was looking to see, I just saw it and then I lost my place on it. Something we were supposed to talk about last night and we did, I don't think we talked about it, but I don't know where it went. In Atlanta? Yeah. I don't know. Oh, well. I don't know. I don't know. So I will be excited to meet Charlotte and this is a sold out show. So apparently you guys like us in Charlotte. So we're happy to see you and meet you. I have the leather's nice. I do too. I do too. My nails falling off. Mine are a disaster. I was going to ask you when the last time you had your nails done was. Well, for a wedding. I was going to say is that because it looks like they're back from now. But I don't think I'm going to get them done again. I just wanted them done for her wedding. I like my glue on one better. I do. But I don't want to. You should have seen Kelly trying to put one single solitary eyelash on. It took her 35 minutes on the bus because every time she was like. She literally was like bus driver. Daddy on the road. Daddy on the road. So we did just watch the JFK documentary. The final year we watched it on the bus. Because I can't find it at home. So, Chrissy had us. I did for me on her road. You know, when I went to pull it up on Hulu, it said that it was no longer available on Hulu. But that's where I watched it originally. So I watched it on the Amazon. So maybe they took it off of Hulu, which would be why you couldn't find it. I looked at my dad's house and I had my pick and I just didn't know what I was doing. So what did you think? I liked it. I thought it was interesting. I don't know if I didn't realize it when I was watching the show, but I didn't realize that his cousin, he died before his cousin. It's not crazy. I thought it was Anthony. I thought he died before he was in the crash. Well, and I don't know why I thought that. Well, I think they didn't really talk too much about it in the actual love story, but they obviously focused a lot about that because Carol Radzwell, who was a housewife, she was a New York City housewife, was married to him. And she's actually in this documentary and she talks a lot about how John was kind of in denial about Anthony dying, but he finally started to write his eulogy and then he died. Yeah. And then Anthony had to give... I wonder if somebody read his eulogy that he wrote. Yeah. Like I think that would have been nice. Yeah. Well, you know, in love story itself, I think one of...in the final episode, one of the parts that was the most like moving was the part where they were on the...like the ship and they were dumping the ashes. Like that choked me off a lot. I know. Like a lot, a lot. But the documentary was really good. I told you Clinton's in it. Yeah. Which I was surprised that he did that interview. Maybe he did because he didn't like trash him in his magazine. Yeah. You know, like I'm thinking like he probably respected him for that and was like, you know what, I'm gonna put my input in on this. You know. I thought it was really interesting that Clinton said it and a few people said it that he divided party lines, like political party lines, both the far left and the far right all like Jim. Hey, Junior. Yeah. He was kind of like what could have been. Yeah. Like imagine if he would have been in charge. Like things could have been very different. Yep. Yep. He would have been an extension of obviously his father's legacy, but also his mother. I thought that it was really interesting to hear how Jackie raised him in such a crazy, like under such a microscope. But she tried to make things normal. Yeah. You know. Yeah. And I loved seeing in the documentary how he was so close with his cousin. Mm-hmm. Like showed them like playing and stuff like that. They didn't really show that much of that on the show. No, I think the most we got on the show was him in the Jeep on the way to marry her. And they obviously showed them like in the dressing or in the locker rooms and stuff joking. But I think that you really saw a sense of their friendship when they were in the Jeep and he's like you're going to marry her. I just loved hearing everyone say how those two were wildly in love. Yeah. Yeah. You know, like I was thinking that the other day, the way I was thinking about it, but it's not very often a love like that comes around. Yeah. Do you know what I mean? I mean, I think people like get married during love or whatever, but it's not that like. Mm-hmm. Just fall ahead of her heels the second you see them. You know what I mean? And I think it's interesting because he was such a, like a catch, if you will, like the world's most eligible bachelor. And I, from every report about her, like she didn't care about that. She cared about him. That's why he liked her. Well, I understand. I think that was very, would have been very important to him just because of the way he grew up. He didn't want somebody that just is going to be like his fan. Yes. But I think that there are people who could have hit that and made him think that, but I think for her it was truly who she was. And everyone who talked about her said that she was effervescent and had this whatever and he was like just as wildly in love with her as he was with him. Yeah. Yeah. Sad. And sweet. I think the true, the person I feel probably the saddest for and all of this though is Caroline, the sister. The sister. Yeah. I mean, imagine like, and she was old enough to remember her father getting assassinated where John wasn't. I mean, at least as far as what he recounted. I didn't understand. He's three, right? Well, he, he, he was like three days before he turned three because they buried JFK on his third birthday. So JFK was assassinated on the 22nd. They buried him on the 25th. I don't think you really understand what it means to die. Yeah. So he didn't like his father was killed. I think Caroline might have been six. So she is definitely remembering. Then it was the two of them. And obviously their mother dying, she was older and she had cancer, which was only in her 60s. So that was probably, and she died very quickly. They like diagnosed her what they said in January and she died in May. So that was like a quick cancer situation. She saw her uncle get assassinated too when she was probably what nine, maybe, maybe 11. And she was close with him. And then her brother dies in this insane accident. Like, and then her daughter just died. And then her cousin died. Anthony. Yes. Yes. Yes. Lots of death there. Yeah. And then she felt sad a couple of weeks or a couple of months ago, her daughter died of cancer. Her daughter was an adult and she had, she just had a baby. I think her baby was like a couple months old, maybe not a couple months, but so she lost her child, which. That should never happen. No. No. It's just terrible. So I give Caroline a lot of credit because we don't hear much from her. Yeah. She probably likes that though. Oh, I think it's been very intentional to have a private life. Yes. But I mean, the amount of extraordinary grief this woman has faced in her life is really profound. So I think we're wrapped up with all of the JFK stuff though. I'm reading the book though. I am reading the book that love stories based on about Caroline or Caroline. Oh. That's what I was reading at night when you're like, what are we doing? I'm like, I'm reading. That's what I'm reading. That's good. But I think we're wrapped up with the JFK stuff and we're going to figure out what we're going to do for our next set of minis. And I guess next week we'll talk a little bit about Charlotte, but we can't wait to see what you guys are wearing and we can't wait for the second leg of the tour. I'm excited. Yep. So now West Coast, Midwest, some of you have been saying like we don't come out that way. We're coming. The next set of places we're coming is Phoenix, San Francisco, LA, then we have like Denver, Seattle, Portland, Cincinnati. A lot of these places I've never been. Yeah. Have you ever been to San Francisco? We'll have to make sure the day we're in San Francisco that we don't have anything scheduled so we can go out in the city because it's worth seeing. I was in San Francisco and rode one of them little trolley car things, but you said we were not there on the entrance. No. I wouldn't have been there for any other reason I don't think. The only time. I can see us sitting on that little bus thing, but I might have been New Orleans. I was thinking maybe New Orleans. I think it might have been New Orleans that I'm thinking. I was in San Francisco with Jill and Kira. You were not with us. I wasn't invited. Rude. Well, the kids were dancing and your kids were teenagers. So I doubt they wanted one or two. So I saved you.
