required I want to start by saying that Product Hunt is a huge opportunity. When I've had big launches and I've launched them on Product Hunt, it drove a lot of traffic to my website, it helped our SEO tremendously, it got people knowing who we are and it created this word of mouth marketing for us. There's a lot of benefits, but there's a lot of ways you could just launch two crickets really. It could fall flat. But I'm here today to help you make sure that doesn't happen. Here are my five strategies to launch successfully on Product Hunt. Strategy number one if you launch properly on Product Hunt, it's going to be a big deal. It's going to bring a lot of traffic to your site, so you want to be ready. And that's my first tip. Make sure your product is actually ready for primetime. A lot of people launch on Product Hunt before they're actually ready. The product is not really fully out of beta or it's not bug free or their website can't handle a lot of traffic or their customer customer support can't answer enough questions in time. If you're gonna do this right, you should expect a lot of people signing up, trying your product, going to your website, asking questions. So it can really fall flat if you're not ready. So my advice to you is to make sure you launch on a day that you know that you can answer a lot of questions on support your product is fully ready and ready for the public and is problem free as possible. The way to look at this is that you're making a big splash, a big appearance in public. You want to make sure your first impression is a great impress. There's nothing worse than launching on Product Hunt, making a big splash for a couple hours, but then you can't handle the traffic and people just don't have a good experience. Number two, when you're putting together your page or when you're about to share your product on Product Hunt, you really want to Take the time to build some amazing assets to show the magic of your software. People on Product Hunt are impressed by fun, interesting, quirky, magical experiences for customers. So I highly recommend you create as many images as you can to showcase this. Maybe even a video, an explainer video would be awesome. And there's gotta be something about your product, your service, your course, your thing that really is unique, that really stands out, that really makes you say, wow, this thing is pretty cool. Showcase that with your media because if you grab their attention with that quickly, people will upvote, people will comment, people will check out your product on your website. Now, we just gone through two of the strategies and I want to stop for a second and I want to mention that your whole goal with Product Hunt here is to drive as many eyeballs to your page on Product Hunt to get as many upvotes, comments, questions and clicks through to your website as possible. We're going to touch more about this later, but I just wanted to pause and say, hey, when you're building out your assets, your page, remember that's really what you're trying to do here is get as much engagement as possible. Because the more of what you get, the more likely you will get that coveted Product of the Day badge which places you on the top of the homepage and gives you maximum exposure. All right, back to the strategies number three. A lot of people just launch our Product Hunt and that's it. I'm here to tell you that's a rookie move. You need to do what's called a pre launch. Let's say, for example, you are going to be launching on the first of the month. My advice to you is give people a heads up three days before and the day before that you're launching on Product Hunt. We're talking about your best customers, your community, your friends and family, anybody that is interested in supporting you. Post it on Twitter, post it on Instagram, post it on Facebook and let them know, hey, something big is being launched on Product Hunt. I'm very excited. I'm going to need your support. People will respond better if they know it's coming up. People will actually follow through if you give them a heads up. At the very least, let them know the day before, hey, I'm launching something tomorrow on Product Hunt. Would love your support message me and I can tell you how you can best support my launch on Product Hunt. So you could literally just tell them in that message, I need you to upvote, ask questions, engage as much as possible on the page by pre launching. You give yourself the biggest chance of getting everybody you know, your community, your customers involved come launch day number four. Now, a lot of people, when they launch, they tell people, hey, head on over to Product Hunt and upvote my product. That's great. Upvotes are very important. I don't know the exact algorithm, but it's one of the main drivers of moving up the ladder to be product of the day. But what I actually wanted is I want engagement, right? I want people to engage. I want it to be like a real buzzy page. People are chatting, people are engaged. They're really having a good time. They're really interested in this new thing. So in the prelaunch phase, I actually told them I'd love for you to not only give a comment or review, but to ask questions. And I actually gave them a list of common questions a lot of our customers have asked us when we were in beta or beforehand. And I just say, hey, maybe these questions will kind of spur something up or inspire you to ask a question on the page. Why? Because when they ask questions, it allows me to comment and other people comment on my answer. And I'm pretty sure, I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure when there's a lot of engagement on a page on Product Hunt, Product Hunt moves you up because they want more engagement, they want more people staying on the site. So upvotes are important, but question engagement and click throughs are really important too. Have them click to the page to check out your product on your site, right? You're going to have a link on the page on Product Hunt number five. This one, a lot of people drop the ball, have a Product Hunt special offer. When I launched A webinar Ninja 5.0, this is like a few years ago, I had a special offer for Product Hunt people. When they click clicked from Product Hunt, I had a special banner on my website that gave them a coupon code. And I would say, hey, to all the people that are on the page, I love the community Product Hunt. Here is a coupon code to give you a discount. It's going to last for 24 hours. And I was transparent. I'm giving out these codes because I really want you to try webinar Ninjas to give me a review on Product Hunt. And this code could be a discount, it could be an extended trial, it could be some sort of deal or bundle offer. The point here is that you're going to capitalize on the fact there are so many people going to your page now and Knowing about your product incentivize them for trying it out and signing up. Create a special offer for those coming through Product Hunt. If you're wondering how do I do this with the you know you said that you had a banner or you had some sort of pop up showing when they came from that site from Product Hunt. Well any pop up banner or any sort of pop up software will allow you to show it based on a rule. And the rule would be they came from this site. I got more on today's topic. I got a bonus strategy for you. Something small but really really helpful. But before that, let me give love to today's sponsor.
