Anyone's listening to rap, apparently. I think they're missing the kid on the car seat, though. They should have been like the kid should have been with a thumbs up like, I mean it. Protect me! No parent, no matter how strong, can prevent that. No for real. That's why I properly installed car seats and seatbelts matter. The goal of every trip is simple. Everyone makes their home safe. Wow. He's been a baby before, brother. Car seats have always been around us. I don't know, six years ago. I was like, hey. Yeah, you're supposed to be in a car seat for a long time. These fools are eight and six and they're still in car seats. They can't wait to get out to like, they were 60 pounds or something. Car seats are pretty tough to figure out nowadays. Like they have like the things that stick to the restraints. Yeah, but like the things that I don't know, they clamp. Those are the best. That's the best thing to have. Yeah. Back to the seat. Yeah. And so police stations do offer that you can go over there and have them check your car seat to make sure that it's properly put in. So make sure you take advantage of those resources. Again, even if you're turned up and acting a fool, your kid doesn't deserve to be acting a fool or deserve to bear the consequences. So I was like, okay, but I was like, it's okay So, you know, I wasn't gonna trip on it the next day You know we had food and she was like, oh my god, I'm so sorry I didn't even realize that I didn't call you up and I was like, it's okay like I understand there's a lot going on But still it's kind of like how you're not gonna consider you go up there, right? so that happened so that was the first round of like the funnies and then Fast forward to my daughter's birthday this last weekend You know my daughter, I don't know why she tends to cry with her But you know in the middle of happy birthday, I see like my sweat got creeping towards me You know, I'm like, oh my god, what is she doing? And so she's coming she's coming and she's reaching to like take my baby Which is fine, you know, I don't really mind but at that moment I was like, you know, I just want to embrace this moment with my one-year-old baby You know my my first born daughter and I also have my stepdaughter But this is my first daughter of my own that I birthed and everything and so I was like, okay I really wanted to embrace this moment. I told you know, it's fine like I'll hold her okay And after the happy birthday, I'll hand her off to you if you want to take her but Those are little things that I'm starting to get like, okay Why you know, I don't know I'm starting to like am I tripping too much or you know I'm in the right place to trip and so and then every time I'm with her, you know So take the baby and she'll hold their bubble and then she's like your mama go with your papa And it's never like handing her back off to me and That's what it sounds like you don't think it's a break It is but it's been that way like the whole year with my daughter, you know, it's never like here Here's your mommy back. It's like here go with your papa and The Does she do it like sarcastically like does she do it like in a mean way or is it sometimes? Yeah, it is in a weird tone. So I'm like if she's like throwing little shady shots at me or am I tripping and So it's always like here. Yeah, here go with your papa and I'm like, how come she never hands my daughter back to me? It's always to her dad and and then you know, I have my own issues with her father that I step it from that What are those issues with your own issues? Yeah, we got time and this is a lot of part of the story. It's going on because right now it sounds like you're Cuz you hate her son it sounds trivial like the stuff you're saying like I mean besides the birthday thing because I agree with that But like no, she didn't even hold her she held her. Yeah So there's just a lot like there's tons of layers to that and give us one Okay, so I feel like I'm a single mother in a relationship, right where Yeah, we're there to be taking on more as a dad and he doesn't and You know, he clearly has a stepdaughter, but yeah, that whole time with his stepdaughter a lot of his parental duty Daughter Yes, well, I'm sorry. He has a daughter my Yes, I say and so a lot of his parental duties were Delegated to his mother because they had her like at 16, right? Which you know, that's normal mom steps in and she's helping them raise the daughter Mm-hmm. And so it you know a lot of things didn't fall into perspective until I had our first child with him and Now he's in his 30s and I'm like, you know It's different for you now. You should really be more involved with your daughter You should be doing a lot more, you know, if you come home from work It would be cool if you can spend like at least an hour with her play with her do something But he comes home will hold it for like 15 minutes and it's like right piece. I'm gonna go lay down and like take a nap Yeah, I feel like Yeah, so I feel kind of like there's not a lot of like involvement and yeah to me It's rubbing me the wrong way a little bit It's been like this on and off for you, you know, and then we get into arguments and he's like I'm gonna take Your daughter from you and I'm like, you know, how are you gonna do that when you're not even the person who's taking care of her everything? That's very yeah, that is yeah Like honestly as a mom and having been like the like a young mom and all of that One we have a lot of feelings to we're always gonna do more than other people do like such is the job of a mom I don't know that it could ever be equal like first of all Pariéndolos giving birth to them. That's more than another person can do for your child, you know But I would also be very very understanding to your own self your own psyche You are going through so much a year is nothing your body is coming back to normal your hormones are trying to rebalance You're probably looking at yourself a little bit different and then man my man gets to go out in the world gets to sleep I can't all of these things are like in your brain right now and and valid They're all valid feelings, but I would I would be careful of doing like really hard Decisions off of these types of feelings and then I would also look at I swagger like oh damn her giving the baby to Your man would be helping you know because you're the one saying he don't help forcing him he He doesn't but I feel like she does it in a sense to where they grew up taking care of the first daughter Or he she was always with him that it's like my son will always be the best take person to take care of his children You know and so I think if you was Yes, and so I feel like if he was to ever move forward or like if anything was to ever escalate to the point where he's like I'm gonna take your daughter from you. Yeah, you would completely back him up You know and some to me that's hurtful because it's like look like I take 100% care of your granddaughter And so I just feel like it's a shot at me because it's always like oh well You know how's Ash doing like is she taking care of the baby like what else am I gonna be doing of course? I'm taking care of the baby and so I just feel like she looks at the situation as his past situation And I'm like look I'm not 16. I'm not you know, I'm not the baby mama I'm in my daughter's life And so I kind of feel like it's little shots like that too where she's looking at this situation as her first situation That happened with her son where she should be taking care of the baby and the baby should be in her life And maybe it's things like that. Maybe it's not your fault at all. Maybe it's she doesn't have confidence in the women that he chooses Because of his past a point That's a good point, but I do also feel like she should know me enough to know that You know, I'm doing my part as a mother. Yeah, well how's your relationship been with her besides like just past year? So it's been good like I don't really ever have any beef with my son and it's always been cordial normal And you know, there is a slight language barrier She's for her first language is Spanish and you know, I don't really know any Spanish.
