Summary

The Pack-A-Day podcast hosts conduct an offseason mailbag episode before taking a month-and-a-half break, fielding listener questions about Packers free agency, draft strategy, and personal preferences. The hosts discuss potential free agent signings like Jalen Jennings, defensive line needs, and debate various start-sit-cut scenarios across football and non-football topics.

Insights
  • Packers likely to re-sign Christian Watson due to offensive importance and health recovery, though injuries remain a concern for long-term value
  • Interior defensive line depth through free agency preferred over draft picks to avoid reaching on run-plugging nose tackles without pass rush upside
  • Fan base will react negatively to running back or wide receiver picks at 52, but tight end would be more acceptable given roster needs
  • Forced fandom rarely works; organic interest through positive team representation and shared experiences more effective than persuasion
  • Content creators taking draft break to learn from subject matter experts rather than provide coverage they're less knowledgeable about
Trends
NFL teams increasingly transparent about player satisfaction and role clarity, with LaFleur facing scrutiny over receiver utilizationFree agent market for proven veteran depth pieces (DJ Reader, Mike Pannell) preferred over premium draft capital for specific positional needsPodcast audience engagement through interactive mailbag formats drives listener participation and community building during offseasonContent creators specializing in educational football terminology (formations, run concepts, personnel) to serve growing casual fan baseStrategic draft preparation through curated expert content consumption rather than independent film study among non-specialist analysts

20 minutes a day, 365 days a year. This is the Packaday Podcast. Welcome into the Wednesday edition of the Packaday Podcast. I'm one of your co-hosts, Dusty, even with me as always. Sarah and Steve, guys, guys, it is our last episode before the draft. Before we leave, we take our like a month and a half off. I think we are joined. I think there's a couple other people doing this now. I think it's not Perry. Perry was taking a break. Perry's sitting out. I think I saw Jen, Aaron, and Jimmy. I think they're sitting out for a bit. I don't think the full time, but we're joined in solidarity, but we use this, you know, selfishly. We get a little time for ourselves, but also it's seating the Florida people who know more than we do. So we're trying to go out with a bang, big mail bag before we get to that point. How are you guys? Steve, we'll start with you, brother. You're in spring break right now with the children. How are things going, man? It's good, man. I'm tired. We just, we got back today. We did two days at a water park at a hotel overnight and then did it all over again today. So lots of fun, but everybody's kind of tired, but kids just came in and you can probably hear them right now. So I'll have to mute that and kind of do a little, hey guys, you can't be screaming during this, but, you know, we're doing good, man. We're going to a cabin on Thursday about an hour south of here and just going to relax, not do too much. Nice. Sarah, what are you up to? Yeah, I'm just hanging out. Lots of big stuff coming up. My brother's getting married next weekend. So, you know, trying to help the fam out and get the final things ready to go because I'm in the wedding. So that's always a fun time. So looking forward to that, we'll have to, you know, debrief of course, once we're back from our break. But yeah, the break comes at a good time because in the next few days between Easter and that, it's going to be a little bit crazy for the Kelliherrs, but all good things, lots to celebrate, which is never something to complain about. No, that's awesome. Well, we were going to talk about, you know, the day's events. We don't have days events. There's the coaches and GM's and everyone are meeting out in Arizona right now. That stuff, Goody, we heard from LaFleur, I think for the first time since the end of the season, if I'm not mistaken, policy as well, all the big hitters, but that stuff was covered yesterday. So we looked at what was going on today. There's nothing going on. So it's only fitting we go into our little break with a mailbag. We got some heavy hitters. All of our regulars showed up. Very happy for that. So Sarah, kick us off. What do we got from our questions this week? Yeah. So you guys did not disappoint. We said we're going away for a little while and the whole gang showed up and asked questions. So you'll hear a lot of familiar names as you go through the list here. So first one, who else? Ryan Hartstad, which of these 2027 free agent receivers do you think the Packers will re-sign for next season? Watts, Reed or Wix, and then a start, sit, cut. Mexican meets, Carnitas, Barbacoa, Carnasada, and then start a bonus start, sit, cut for the road, vacation destinations, European tour, sea cruise, or theme park trip. So Steve, you're technically kind of sort of on spring break. So why don't you take this one first? As far as who I think the Packers will sign. I mean, to me, I would hope it's Watson. I think he's going to be the, you can find Gadgety guys like Reed, you can find another guy like Wix in the draft. I'm thinking they've been pretty good at drafting on receivers under Goody. So I think that would be the one I would hope for. And then starts it cut for foods. I will start Carnasada. When it's done well, it's good skirt steak and that's great for Mexican. Then I'll go Barbacoa and then Carnitas. And then vacation destinations. I will go start. Well, I take that back vacation destination with no children. I will go European tour, start theme park trip and then sea cruise. So I've been on a cruise before and I will never go on another one again. Oh, let's unpack that. Why not? Um, you know, it was just a lot of the like the add-ons and everything like you think you're paying for the cruise and then it's you get there and it was all the alcohol you had to pay for. And then, you know, me and my ex were trying to be sneaky and sneaking a whole bunch of booze and they, uh, they have X-ray machines for that kind of stuff. So they found all those and they didn't give them back to the last night. So the last night was really fun. But we learned some tricks and tips though. Um, one of them is if you have a clear alcohol, put it in a list of reen bottle and then just whatever color it is, just put a little dye in there and then it looks like mouthwash. Uh, that was one of the ones, the other one somebody was said was to thoroughly rinse out a shampoo bottle and just pour it in your shampoo bottle. That was another one. So those were, those were some of the things, but, uh, you know, overall just, it was too much in one space and then when we'd get dropped off at these ports and it was just so touristy, like it was like, Hey, go sit on the beach at this place and then go sit on the beach at this place. And then they all know your tourists and it's 30 bucks for a bucket of beers and things like, like, so it just wasn't, when I go, like when I've gone on vacations in the past, I've always enjoyed exploring the actual country and doing that kind of stuff. And this like cruises just wasn't it. I've heard the shampoo trick before. I've not, I've not tried that. I've, uh, uh, suntan lotion, the same thing. There's no way you can wash it out that thoroughly to just give it to that taste. Right. Like it's always tasting a little bit like, like shampoo or suntan lotion, I would assume. I think that's why I mean, if I would, you know, obviously I don't drink anymore, but if I were to try to do it, I would think I would go with the, the listerine type of thing where you just pour it in and put a drop of green or two in there and you've got green vodka or whatever. But that seems like I was like, I, there's no way I'm doing the suntan lotion. Man, that's just, that's just going to taste like suntan lotion. And I know this goes. I do like the idea of putting like some fancy, like sneaking some papi in, but putting it in suntan lotion, completely ruining it. Just sitting at the, sitting in a lounge chair with the suntan going, squeezing it. Best burma I've ever had. Oh, it's so good. There's an always sunny thing where they go to Jersey Shore and Charlie misunderstands and just is drinking suntan lotion. That's all I can think of. All right. Fragent receivers. I mean, Watson, it feels like there's been so much smoke that's probably going to happen, which I like because what he gives the offense, but also like the injuries are a real factor. He is a little older. I think he was 23, 24 when he was drafted. So I, I love Watson. I want him back. That seems like the slam dunk answer. I wouldn't be mad at Wix. Like just what he has kind of grown into, he's the best blocking receiver on the team. He took a lot of the kind of more possessiony stuff that, that Dobbs had last year when Dobbs was kind of out when they were both on there and they had Dobbs doing some different stuff. And he did really well. The hands looked pretty good last year. A good route runner, like we know he's a good route runner. He's got a little more speed than Dobbs. So I wouldn't mind. I mean, he's not had his breakout. He probably will never become like that dude. But if they want to bring Wix back on like a middling option, I'd be totally fine with that. I really like what he has kind of grown into a really nice role in the offense. Starts at cut food. I'll go. I'm sorry, food. Mexican meats. I'm starting barbacoa. Man, I love barbacoa. I'm going to sit carne asada and cut carnitas. There's not a bad answer here. They're all tremendous. That was, that was very, very hard. Starts at cut. Steve, I almost went like taking kids out of it. I just decided to answer with kids. I'm doing theme park. We've talked about doing that, going down to like universal Disney kind of seeing that stuff. Cause I grew up in Florida as a kid and we'd go over to Disney and, and universe. It was MGM studios. I guess at the time we'd go over there and have a lot of good memories. So like the part of it is I want to take that down there. They want to see it, see it through their eyes. I think that'd be a lot of fun. I also know I will be miserable. So it will not be fun, but they will make good memories. So that's worth it to me. I'm going to sit European tour and I'm going to cut cruise. I've never done a cruise. I've heard enough stories, Steve, kind of like yours, but also worse stories that like I'm, I'm good. I'm not, not super just not ideally like an ideal world. It sounds cool. I don't think it's for me. Yeah. I mean, I understand why people do it and like some people absolutely just thrive on that. That's what they love. And they, you know, they want all their meals right there and you know, the buffets were nothing I would want to go back to again. Like it's kind of like an old country buffet type of situation. So I mean, they had some go on again. I think carnival. I'm not really sure this was like 12, 13 years ago. Where it's at. So that's, you know, and I didn't know, I didn't know. Yeah. Well, Caribbean is my personal faith. Um, as far as which free agents do, I think they're, they're going to bring back. I think it's going to be Watson. It just, it seems like all roads are leading there. I mean, just you definitely have a good argument for, for read, but I feel like it's going to be him. He's such a key part of their offense this year. I'm expecting even more than we saw last season because he's coming in fully healthy. There's no Romeo dogs anymore. So it's going to be a big year for him. And I think if he performs even somewhat at a high level that he's probably going to be, um, he's probably going to be re signed and get paid. Um, yeah. Mexican meets this is impossible because I wish I could pick all three, but I think that probably carne asada grew with you. Steve, like it has to be done right, but when it is, it's unbeatable. And then I will sit, Barbara Koa, cut carnitas, but again, I feel disgusting cutting carnitas because I love them. Um, and then for me, starts to cut vacations, start European tour. That's easy for me. Want to, I want to explore more of Europe. Um, and then I'm going to sit, see crews cut theme parks. I just, for me, the theme parks aren't a vacation because I love them. Florida and specifically Orlando. So I go not all the time, but enough where I'm like, uh, I can go there and then come back and sleep in my own bed, which is definitely a privilege. So it's not just really a vacation for me. Um, all right. Next questions from Matt pick it two part question. First part with your upcoming free time. What's one football and one non football piece of content that you plan to consume and start sit cut fresh winter season. Odom leaf views or summer beach vistas. A lot of vacation theme to question so far. Dusty, what, what do you feel on this? So one football, I've got some, some books I want to go through. I've always got books I want to read. There's, um, so we, uh, the evolution of the game, there's two books, evolution of the game and how football became football that are kind of like history of the game told through different lenses that I've kind of wanted to read. So maybe I'll get into those. And the other stuff is also books like non football. I just started reading. I started reading books. I started reading books. I started reading books. There's also books like non football. I just started reading, um, red rising about halfway through the first book there. So it'll take me a little bit depending on if I read the six that are out now or just the first, the original trilogy, the first three. I got a couple other books like crying in H Mart is one I've been looking at for a long time by, um, which Michelle, Michelle's owner, uh, the lead singer of Japanese breakfast. It's her memoir that's been on my shelf. So may, may check out that one. Some TV to catch up on Daredevil's back. Um, I've never watched Peaky blinders and they just came out with that movie. And, uh, so I might need to watch Peaky blinders. So I got a lot of stuff that I, I will do 10% of what I think I'm going to do before the draft season is done, but the, I got a nice long list here. And then start, sit, cut. I'm going to start autumn leaf views. Can't beat it, man. You can't beat it. I'm going to sit winter, snow, scape and cut summer beach vistas. I love me a summer beach vista, but summer beach vista also just means hot. Just, just heat and sun and sand. And I just get tired of that after a while. So I will, I will cut it even though I wouldn't say no, if someone offers you me, you know, sure. Let's see, as far as football content, um, I mean, whatever pops up on Twitter will be one thing. And I think I'll probably do a little dive into the cheese or the, you know, the cheese head pack a day, um, draft guide when that comes out. So I want to take a look at that and just kind of research because I haven't looked at anything for the draft. Like I've just, since I know, especially that we're not doing it, I'm like, meh. I kind of like looking at stuff that people post here and there, but for the most part I'm kind of out on that stuff right now. So I'll catch up when it gets a little closer to draft. And then, uh, non football piece of content book I'm reading right now is called let them. Um, it's kind of like a philosophical book, uh, a way to live life and things like that of kind of being able to, to let go of things yourself that, you know, you don't need to have control over or you don't need to be a part of or whatever. And it's kind of like, kind of like a, uh, a freeing kind of thing of like letting yourself just live in the moment and not have to be too worried about what could happen or the things like that. So very interesting so far. I've read a couple of chapters into it, but yeah, probably some time for to finish that one up and then start, sit, cut. Start autumn. I love autumn like the little crisp in the air. Then I would sit summer beach vistas cause I do enjoy, I do enjoy that, but kind of like Dusty said, when it gets too hot, yeah, it's a bit much for me, but fresh coming fresh out of winter. I'm good with snow. Like I've seen enough snow for a while. Like I can, I can last until next, until this next upcoming winter. So for me, um, with you, Steve, with the football content, probably going to be just honestly listening to back a day and, um, reading cheesehead articles and following people that are much smarter about the draft than we are. Um, just to, to kind of learn more beyond just running backs, which is really the only position group that I've done any research and watched some, some film on pro lack of better terms, film being, you know, looking up YouTube and looking up some analysis there. Um, and then non football, um, the boys is back next week. One of my favorite shows, final season. So that premieres, um, I think like April 8th sometime next week. So I'll definitely be watching that. It'll, it'll still be on, I think when we're back from our break, but that's certainly a non football related show piece of content that I will be consuming. Um, and then starts it cut. Yes. Easy starting autumn. Love autumn love like the day in Florida. I know I've talked about on this show when I walk out and go to work and I feel like after just the hundred degree, you know, high nineties days and you walk out and there's just like a little chill in the air and you're like, we made it. We made it. Like we're, it's everything's going to be okay. So that's first summer beach vistas, definitely sit. And then I just have to cut fresh winter snow scape because I couldn't, I couldn't do it. I, you know, I like, like it's cool if I went on vacation and like went to a ski lodge because that's what I'm choosing to do, but just doing that all the time. I don't, I don't think I could do it. All right. Next question is from Mike. Who is the pick at 52 and how much of the fan base is protesting the moment the name is read? And then what's your guilty pleasure draft day snack? Steve. All right. Who's going to be picked at number 52? No damn clue. I can't pretend that I actually can give you somebody. Um, but all I can tell you is that. Yeah, it's going to, it's going to drive the fan base insane. Uh, if we know anything about Packers Twitter that half of people won't like the pick half, you know, another half will, another quarter will say it's the worst in the world. Uh, and then there'll be like 5% they're like, I kind of like this. I see what good, the Coons was doing, but for the most part it's going to be insanity. And then guilty pleasure snack for draft day. I've talked about this plenty of times, but I still love Buffalo outlings man. I just, for what I like that they're, they're mediocre, but they're still good. They got a new chili crisp sauce that has been outstanding that I really enjoy. So I think I'll probably end up doing that. Yeah. I mean, you kind of nailed it with the end there, Steve. It doesn't matter who is picked. Um, there will be division among the fan base. There's very few that are fully loved or fully hated it. I mean, just looking at what little looked at so far, Chris Johnson, uh, or Jacob Rodriguez or like the two names that like, I wouldn't be shocked. Chris Johnson is a quarterback, Jacob Rodriguez linebacker. Those are both areas of need. Those are both guys who could fall down to 52. I think so, uh, those, I could see either one of those guys. I've seen a lot of big citrus stuff. The, what was it in Dominique orange? I guess the defensive tackle. I would not like that. I wouldn't like him at 52, like a little later, but, uh, Johnson or Rodriguez, if either of those guys are taken, I'd say if Chris Johnson is taken, I think there will probably be more people happy about it than, than not. Uh, but I think most other people would probably be upset if, if say Jacob Rodriguez went, it's a linebacker in round two. Um, I don't think people would have about that. Uh, what is my guilty pleasure draft a snack brother? No, no guilty pleasures. We've covered this. We don't have guilty pleasures. Um, we had one time, I always get together with my brothers for the first round one year. One year, my brother bought these. They were white castle bite, the jalapenos things that were like, it was like a Totino's pizza roll, but it was white castle, like kind of like a, like burger, like shredded meat with cheese and jalapeno inside like a, like a little pizza roll type thing. Insane. They're so, so good. Have not found them since, but, uh, that's one that we look for every year. Cause those were so, so good. We'll be right back. Very nice. All right. Next question is from Simeon. Hello friends. All this talk of NFL PA grades got me thinking. Matt LaFleur was questions about his great. Matt LaFleur was questioned about his grade and supposedly not respecting his players. First thoughts on that. And then second, what grade would you give each other for the same grade? Respect to all of you. He has to add respect to all of you because he knows that it's about, that this question is an agent of chaos and is about to, you know, make us probably say things that we don't mean about each other. So who wants to go first? Any takers on, on how we're scoring each other on the respect scale? I'll go. Uh, yeah. I mean, just, don't jump in too fast there. I got it. Like Dusty's like, I got it. I got it. I got it. I was just like, I was just was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was was because the Matleflore told him to run like maybe like oh alright man like that maybe that's on the table so Some of that like if it's personality stuff odd that could just be maybe there are some guys Or they were just a little disgruntled. Maybe that reflects poorly on the coach or maybe it doesn't I have no way of knowing Yeah, let's give each other for the criteria of respect. Oh, Sarah gets an A plus Steve gets an F minus like this is This is easy, right? No, I mean really would Legitimately it's I mean it's it's a pluses all the way around if if there was not If it was not a pluses all the way around we would not have been doing this together for as long as we've been doing this There is we we make fun of each other. We were fun each other a lot But we don't do that unless we respect each other So I think we're I think for me. I don't know how you guys feel for me It's a pluses all the way around. I hope everyone's on the same page on that. I I Mean I did see you just start me off with an F minus, but you know, that's cool. That's cool You know, I think you touched on a lot of the little four stuff I think yeah the stuff coming out and recently about the roles and everything you got on it think like yeah There are probably several of the Packers wide receivers that weren't happy with their roles Like you can think wicks you can think golden like it, you know, you go to Rashawn Gary Nate Hobbs Like yeah, there was probably some disgruntled people on that team and you know, I forget where I saw but there was some article That was talking about how they were they had to almost like basically shame Rashawn Gary into playing more of like dude, you're not doing enough and So yeah, I mean, I think that'll be a fascinating storyline to see what he does in Dallas and what the motor looks like And I mean it wouldn't be shocking if he comes out and is tearing the roof off because he is motivated And he does want to show that he's worth it and everything so Yeah, I mean, I think egos can really get in the way of this stuff And so I think that's a that's probably a big thing in that la fool report card So I think that's a one way to look at it for sure And then yeah like as much as we give each other crap about everything on this podcast So it is part of the stick and part of the fun of this is that you know, we we do have respect for each other that we can So we can give it can we give it to each other and then you know Take it take it as well. Like nobody's coming off with hurt feelings of like, oh my god Does he actually meant that about me like oh my god? I'm gonna know I think we we all have a Unbelievable amount of respect for each other and you know, these two have seen me through some of my darkest times and you know Been supportive been amazing friends outside the podcast. So I've got nothing but good stuff to say about them for the most part For the moment Until does he pisses me off again? Yeah, that's fair. Yeah, I mean I'm I'm in this season where you know I'm planning a wedding and both of you guys are invited to the wedding and if I didn't respect and love you you wouldn't be there So that's kind of a good summary of like, yeah, it's real and genuine and like Steve said like we've all had Moments and things that we've supported each other through and it's just nice to know that there's never ever ever judgment and Is it's fun because it's it's light and sometimes there's a lot going on in our personal lives or things just feel Really heavy in general and then we come and do this and It's just easy. It's funny. It makes me feel better, you know, every time after it. I'm in a good mood So unless Steve's mean to me, of course But that's again, that's it's all out of love. So so yeah respect all time high All right, next question is from Ed Stack You are the Packers GM and you can only sign one more free agent this off season Which position group do you address and then starts it cut pizza styles? Which I think we've done before but it's been so long that we couldn't even remember what our answers were So here we go round two maybe three who knows Chicago round deep dish thin New York crust Detroit rectangular crispy crust Steve I feel like you're gonna have strong opinions on this one Yeah, we'll start with a pizza because I'm definitely looking up the free agents right now I've got one in mind, but it's kind of it's a little off the wall. So we'll see But I am gonna start Chicago deep dish looking at this stuff that still Lived in Chicago still like when you get a really good one. It's just it's outstanding Very close second is gonna be New York thin thin crust when you actually go out to New York I've been out there once twice and That yeah getting a slice at an actual pizzeria in New York is outstanding And then again, I'm not hating on the Detroit rectangular crispy crust because it's very good But again, those things are super super filling. So Kind of like that in the Chicago one That would be my go-to for those ones and then as far as free agents go I'm gonna throw one off the wall and see what you guys think but I Already know what you thought of my Zach Wilson once can say he brings up Zach Wilson again I swear to God, that's where he was gonna go with it No, but it's just not it's not a it doesn't seem to be a super big position of need But I think they could pull some value Joanne Jennings so wide receiver for the 49ers Thought his market was gonna be higher than it was so he was hoping That in the 15 20 million range and I think you know bringing in like a proven two Would be a huge thing for his packers that might just Disrupt some things again, but if they think they're gonna move on from wixor if they're gonna trade him I think that might be a good signing like a really a solid You know wide receiver to to go with Watson Reed and Golden like all of a sudden you're you can you can air it out You can give the ball to Jordan Love and let him sling it and have Josh Jacobs be you know One be out of the for the offense, but I think that could be fun Jennings a really good blocker too. And so with some of the tight end stuff You know no crafts gonna be back if you do run some more stuff out of 11 I think you could between him and wix I think and Watson out there too You could do some really good blocking on that. I had not thought of him but I wouldn't be opposed again. I want golden on the field more so that I do was a wrench into that But they'd be right. I think I think golden will be it'll be I think if they did bring him in it'd be you'd start off with golden Jennings and Watson and your three. Yeah, and then you know wix is there and then if somebody throws you an offer If somebody gets hurt during the season, you're good to go, but Gives you options. He'd fit it really well. He would fit in really well If I can only send one more, I mean there's positions you can grab I would look at defensive line because that's one I don't want I mentioned the Big citrus that everyone's kind of mocking to the Packers. It's a big nose tackle. I can't really worry he's out of I Don't like that in the second round because a lot of those like those big run plugging bodies You can find some of those guys I don't like going into the draft with a need and then in the second round You're grabbing like a run plugging nose tackle without a whole lot of pass rush upside I prefer just to get one of those free agency guys like DJ reader or Mike Pannell are both still out there That don't give you a whole lot of pass rush stuff But can hold the point in the middle if that's what you're kind of looking for so I would prefer I mean if they went after tight and or cornerback also wouldn't say no But defensive line interior defensive line just the kind of bodies are looking for I prefer like a cheap kind of older experience guy Over trying to reach in the draft. I just that doesn't sound good to me So that that's the way I would go and then pizza styles man. I'm starting Detroit. I love me I love Detroit South Pizza sit New York and cut Chicago because Chicago deep dish. I just I am not a fan of just do not like it What would you think of Joey Bosa? He's just injured all the time like all the time injured like that's Good a good pass for stuff. I but even like his past year stuff last year was not nearly as good He had definitely fallen off and he's just you you can bank on him missing Four to six games a year and then another two games where he just clearly is like less than his self So I I don't know that at this point in his career unless it's super super cheap I don't know that I would love that because then you're taking away snaps from Sorrell as well Sorrell and you know Oliver perhaps if Oliver's gonna see the field So I'd prefer to see what those guys have Yeah, I think you know Edd rusher is one for me. You know you obviously trade away Rashon Gary you let in Umbari go and Yes, you have Micah Parsons Yes, you have Lucas Faness who people are hoping and I think we're all hoping it's gonna take a leap but It's still one where like it would be nice to add some depth there and maybe they could get someone at a decent price But that's just one position group where you know, obviously Micah Parsons is the guy, but who knows he's probably gonna be out I think they reported the first few weeks of the season. So I know Jeff Haffley joke that his media availability that he's hoping the Dolphins travel up to Green Bay in week one because he said one of his favorite guys probably won't be ready to play by then Which I thought was pretty funny But yeah, I just think that that's a group that they could address if they're able to in this kind of you know latter part of Free agency the soft season and starts it cut starting New York Thin Crust. I love Thin Crust pizza. That's my favorite I'm always gonna go for that and Agree that if you can get it in New York even better, but honestly anywhere that has New York style pizza That's where I'm gonna go Then I do like Detroit rectangular crispy crust a lot And then I'm gonna cut deep dish. Sorry Steve last time we did this. I hadn't had it true authentic I've had it. Just not my favorite. I just like the other two better All right next questions from the DMs from Mike. I have a mailbag question I have a hot take that LVN is going to have a breakout season this year. We just talked about that I know that Micah has talked about him and I just feel that he's ready to have an amazing season How do you guys feel about him food questions starts it cuts subs Jersey Mike subway pub subs dusty Is pub like public? Yeah, he knew what he was doing he asked the questions to you see surprise. I didn't give it to Sarah and not you I think you guys might be surprised by my answer though. So, oh All right, okay Yeah, I mean, I don't know a breakout season he looked good last year before he went down I mean he had been improving every year LVN been improving the past for stuff like he just doesn't have a whole lot of Like not a whole lot of moves and just the way he plays He's kind of kind of stiff like he's strong and kind of fast But he's like kind of what for Sean Gary you kind of hope the best case of a Sean Gary with a better motor than Gary And so I think there's something there he holds up all the point of attack against the run like holds the edge really well I think there's something there and we saw some of that. I just think he's gonna be limited So I don't know about we say breakout. Is he gonna clean up some person stuff? Yeah, probably is he gonna disrupt a whole bunch of stuff? Man, probably not. I don't think he's gonna do like it be a huge disruptor I think he doesn't get the double digit sacks like I think he'll be fine I want them I would just like to pick up the fifth year option because I think he's shown enough to be like we want to see another year of this I Just it is that type of player. I think it's just just for me kind of limited in what you can do It's kind of if you're gonna do like That pass rush stuff where you've got like it's almost like a like a swoop an anvil You've got you need a hammer on one side. You need a guy that can just disrupt on the other side Vaness is just that guy. He's like the anvil. He's the rock on the one side. That's probably not gonna push too much He's gonna compress a little bit, but he's not gonna win a whole lot to me. That's like best-case scenario for him So I think he'll be good. I'm excited. I'm excited with what he showed last year before the injury I just I I guess it depends on what you think a breakout looks like. I don't think he's getting 12 sacks or anything this year I just think he'll be a Solid good player which is more than I thought he was gonna be for his first couple years and to me I think that's that's good enough. I think for for what they need you hope guys like Sorrell come along You hope that Colin Oliver shows something you hope that You know edge Cooper maybe takes another step on the use him a little bit more on the edge stuff like that So I'm not looking for a breakout. I'm just looking for a solid season of LVM Starts it cut man. Maybe it's just because I've had one more recently, but man the that buffalo pub sub I'm gonna start start pub some I'm gonna sit Jersey Mike's we've I've been to Jersey Mike's a few times They're good. I have not been overly impressed like they're they're fine But they have not like blown me away or anything and I'm gonna cut subway that was subway was a go-to for years and years and years and Went to like what I went to Jersey Mike stuff like that. It was oh man. This is this is what I was eating subway this whole time I could have been having this other stuff. So, you know subway when it was like $5 foot long's brother I could crush those that's a tremendous value, but it's it's it's not good. Now. It's $9 for a foot long. Yeah, I'm good I'm never going back there again. I'm fine Yeah, I think I mean, I'm excited for LVM I think he's shown enough promise that there is there's reason for you know for Mike's question That it definitely makes sense to me as to why he's excited about it and If anybody's gonna have a breakout year, you know, no Rashan Gary. I mean, yeah, absolutely I think he's got he's got some some pretty decent moves and if he can you know continue to learn from like a Parsons and do that kind Of stuff. Yeah, he's got every potential to do it and if they insert him in the starting role and he can stay healthy I could see double-digit sacks that wouldn't that wouldn't be something that shocked me. So yeah, I mean, I'm hopeful I don't know if I'm Going as far as like my hot take is that he's gonna be great this year I don't think I'm gonna go that far but I mean I'm hopeful at this point that he can still still produce and still turn into what they had envisioned for him and then Starts it cut so Don't have a public surrounding me. So I never had like a grocery store pub sub by any means and Never had Jersey Mike's either so Oh Steve, what is going on? What is going on dude? Maybe I did there is one that's I think there's I think it's a Jersey Mike's that's over there by Skyzone I'm taking the kids the sky zone tomorrow. So maybe I'll see if I can get Jersey Mike's way over there Yeah, get Jersey Mike's and bring it on the way there. So I will I will do that So, I mean, I do enjoy subway very plain and simple ham cheese lettuce and pickles with one line of mayo Because if they if I don't tell them one line of mayo, then it's like the entire thing is covered in mayonnaise and it's so gross So I still enjoy subway. I still do but I will I will report back Maybe this is one of the things that I can actually eat and report back by by after the draft Yeah, I think I think this is like the first time Sarah is fully judging me A plus respecting for Sarah is that is that is that down a bit? I Think with LVN. I'm Cautiously optimistic what why I'm still cautious is exactly what you said dusty the words before you went down That seems to be the theme he can't he can't say healthy at times and it's inconsistent because of that So I think that the ceiling is really high But he just hasn't had the opportunity to fully hit that yet because of injuries and it just It just hasn't been the most ideal situation So I think if he can stay healthy if he's really in tandem with Micah once Micah's back and healthy too Then yeah, I think that there could be some really great things that we see from him this season, but I am Again cautiously optimistic is the best way that I can describe that The reason I'm so repulsed by Steve never trying Jersey mikes is because I'm actually starting Jersey mikes. I Love Jersey mikes. We are a big Jersey mikes household. We live right across the street from one like we Love Jersey mikes in the keller-hur-hewitt household So starting that sitting pub sub pub sub is obviously amazing What kind of bump Jersey mikes above is the bread the bread there is so good And then cutting subway. I'm not a subway hater like there are some people who straight up won't eat it I will eat subway. I actually like growing up That was one of my like superstitious meals before soccer was this like very odd peculiar subway order And had it for many years and I think I just like the other two better, but no hate I'm gonna skip around because based off Steve's response to this last question. I want to jump right to this They said I'm concerned about the frequency with which Steve admits he's never tried various foods Should we start and adopt a Steve program where local listeners can take Steve to a restaurant and try new to Steve foods Steve could then start a side pod called eating stuff. Who should his co-host be? So opinioned lab, I think this is an excellent idea as exhibited by Steve's responses today in this episode. I actually When we were reviewing this question, I was like, no, I mean, I feel like we all haven't tried stuff and then Dusty and Steve both reminded me of some recent Incidences like crepes and others and then this Just didn't help It's a pretty pretty bad mark against Steve here And it's not like we can even say oh like your opinion stinks because you don't like Jersey makes you just straight up Don't even have an opinion because you've never had it Yeah, I mean the only thing I will say is that And my children are creeping in the episode now here we go one was Dude if you have that cough just get out of here awesome Oh host for your eating stuff. I mean maybe this yeah, maybe my daughter should be my co-host for eating stuff Because I don't know how as much as I love all of our listeners It seems like a date line story that that is waiting to happen of going to meet random people off the internet to go eat food with them And so yeah, well well, I don't think I'm gonna start my own podcast I've joked with these guys of I've been talking about doing a solo podcast about uniforms for the Packers for like five to six years and that I just don't I don't see myself with the production value or Anything like that. I don't think it would be a good time As far as who my co-host would be I Think it'd be fun to do some of the Guy Fieri. I think that'd be a That'd be a funny one He brings some some volume and some levity and all sorts of fun stuff and yeah, that'd be fun So sure you guys can get Guy Fieri than yeah, yeah We do have an on-air episode of Packers snackers run around somewhere Steve. That's true. We do have that somewhere Every once in a while I forget that I still have that Twitter handle locked and loaded somewhere just in case just I think we I think it all fell apart when I tried to get that one guy to make a Like picture of us like we said they had to make and dusting I twins like he thought we were the same person No, what the for most of it It was they had two people it was a guy and a girl because they didn't think that we were different people They thought it was oh, yeah, and then I like ran out of edits I was on like five or something so we paid I paid like ten bucks and he's like yeah, is this good and finally I was like I don't think this dude understands what I'm trying to say. So yeah, this is great. Thank you. Yeah before AI though I'm sure like you can put it into chat GPT and it could it could fix it up It's still gonna think we're the same person. I got news for you Sarah. It's not gonna fix anything All right next question is from Dave Hahn He said hopefully all is clear now on how to answer his three parts Three sets three part Starts it cut question. So here we go starts it cut each three different sets of historic packers first Defenders Julius peppers Charles Woodson Reggie White then receivers Antonio Freeman Don driver Jordy Nelson and left Hackles David Bacchiari Chad Clifton and Ken Rutgers Food question. What is your favorite fusion food? For example something like a barbecue brisket quesadilla, which would be a fusion of barbecue and Mexican So let's just we'll kind of go through rapid-fire defenders receivers left tackles and then we'll each take the food question What I love about this is that it's just starts it cut. There's no like who's your favorite? Who's the best so we could all have very different Ways that we get our answers. So all right starts it cut defenders dusty Uh start Reggie White sit Charles Woodson cut Julius peppers Steve Same same. Okay. Well, there goes my take that we're gonna approach different answers. All right receivers Start Antonio Freeman dusty you I'm sorry. I thought we were going same order I'm starting Antonio Freeman sitting down driver cutting Jordan. Awesome. Oh It makes me sad to cut Jordy, but I just like couldn't couldn't couldn't put him above either those two guys for me Wow I'm actually gonna start Jordy Nelson Sit into an old Freeman cut down driver. I Just I love Jordy. He's he was just so multi talented and Yeah, what is the your kids? Poop and it's an arrow playing to you. He nailed nailed it nailed it Is it bedtime now kid I'm going in depth on Jordy Nelson. I'm like, why is Sarah like why is her face so close? That's the placement of the arrow pointing directly at the top of your head was perfect Well, it was also just I'm like, what does it say and then it just saying poop with an arrow towards you is perfection execution Okay, Steve reset your answer since we got distracted Yeah Jordy start Jordy sit Freeman and cut driver. All right I'm going to start Freeman sit Jordy cut driver I just like it I should probably cut Jordy, but it's just nostalgia and I love them too much So he's got to at least make the team and then left tackles dusty Start Clifton sit back to Ari cut rockers See All right, and I'm going back to our Ecliffton records. So pretty pretty close there All right, then food question. What's your favorite fusion food? Ah fusion food. That's a tongue twister I'll go first. I think mine is Latin and Asian any restaurant that I go to that mixes those two There's a place in Orlando that's Latin Asian fusion and they have this fried rice It's like a Peruvian fried rice and it has this garlicky white So I it's like a side that you could order and I could probably just get like five of those and eat it because it's that good And I've gotten carne asada from there delicious done perfectly So that that without a doubt would be my favorite blend of flavors I Was a very specific food because I was not thinking of like just just actual like What I like about the different groups and mixing I was just thinking like this one specific food I have I've never stopped thinking about it It's the best burger I ever had and it was a hamburger and they had chorizo in with the with the ground beef It's like prime Proud ground beef with chorizo and it's topped with pico de gallo. So it's like a I don't know I guess American Mexican fusion it's I it's been three years since I ate that burger and I think about it every single day Yeah, that's fair I would say Fusion wise I don't really go too crazy, but I know that's shocking to everybody Have you ever eaten fusion food at all? Yeah, yeah, I've had fusion so nothing nothing like stands out But I think a lot of the times of stuff that I'll get is normally like Japanese Korean fusion so like it kind of blends of Asian stuff the other thing that does he kind of reminded me of there was a There was a burger that was like a brisket burger. So I mean I don't know that's like I don't know how you consider that fusion, but you know, you normally don't see brisket on burger So the brisket burger was outstanding No, I'm getting really hungry. This isn't okay All right last couple questions here next questions from the Wizard of Loneliness What is your most unhinged way the Packers could legally raise revenue to make up for their lack of ability to sell shares of the team and Then what is your most unhinged but legal food take? Steve you've been on a roll with these food takes so I'm gonna give you the floor So as far as for the Packers generating money maybe in during the off-season or during the week they could they could make a portable bedroom and That's closed off and everything and people I'm sure there's about a 10,000 50,000 dudes that would pay to to have relations with their wives on Lambo Should cut that You said you wanted it to be a weird episode There you go. I think like I mean does he's been left close to speechless I think this is the first time I've actually seen him straight up speechless like he just is covering his mouth Legal He's like tried a couple times and he's literally cannot even utter. He's like let him cook So I'm just like and then he regretted it as soon as he was yeah, I shouldn't I shouldn't have said to let him continue You're like the meme where the person's cooking in the kitchen and they put too much oil just everything catches on fire That's just what happened right? Yeah, except it's it's me watching someone. I don't trust cooking. That's the problem And I was like no, maybe this time he'll lay on the plane and and he didn't the plane is never landed by me dusty You have to know that by now And then what's sorry? What's the other question about food? Do we even want me to answer this question? You're done Steve. I'm done. Okay. What's your most unhinged but legal food take? unhinged but legal food take All right, Steve you unfortunately have to answer the second part of this question now I'm scared I'm trying to think of stuff like it can't be the same as the first it can't just know That's not a food take that was just a money-making opportunity Honestly, I don't think I've got an unhinged food take I mean I'll think about it while you guys answer see if anything triggers my mind, but I can't really think anything at the minute All right Most unhinged way the Packers could legally raise revenue Someone pays money every week to play it down for the Packers and and they get to pick that they've got to be It's it's got to be somewhere you can be slightly hidden I think but like I want to just a Like a rich 60 year old dude just getting lit up at defensive line Like just give me that and he paid two million dollars to do it so you're raising revenue So I think that's I think that's something to consider. I read Plimpton's paper lion recently which is different because he was like a journalist and he kind of went through training and everything So it's kind of borrowing from that idea, but same basic thing. Someone pays money. They get to be on the field They get to play a play Probably during preseason probably have to be during preseason so that doesn't count You don't want that to happen during a regular game regular season game And have to sign all kinds of waivers in case they say that what's the insurance looks like on that? Well, they got a wave they got they wave their insurance. They can't there's nothing they you know That's just they're they're paying they put their risk on all the waivers are signed And it's it's at least two million bucks I think so it's got to be you do you raising money if you want to preseason listen if we're getting nuts with this you want to Preseason It's it's whatever like ten thousand bucks You know ten thousand like two millions light and you're switching people out every single every single down So on a preseason game fire third in the third preseason game. You're just It's all kinds of fans just entering it's ten thousand bucks apart brother So everybody knows that was a whoopee cushion that was secured at the arcade today Nailed it My unhinged but legal food take is I think if you're there's a Jersey Mike's in your area And you've not been to eat it you should be beaten with bamboo rods My in Singapore what the hell I Don't know is there a Jersey Mike's in Singapore because maybe Oh I went kind of a similar route as dusty like purchase and experience sort of thing. Well, I guess Steve's is an experience But experience that aligns within the operations of the season like people are always saying that Like the reporters suck and that like they could cover the team and that they would like get the information So I feel like you could pay like a golden ticket to get like a media credential where you get some sort of access to Pressors I don't think that they would allow it for the games I could just wouldn't work because they are down such a strict schedule But you know like if the floor has an availability and there's just like John Smith From Milwaukee that comes up and like can ask questions I feel like people would pay so much money Because they like think it's like anyone could do it and all of that and that that would be a way They're probably be a waitlist to do it because so many people I think that would be axed after one question Yeah, well if it if they paid enough money then they might keep doing it Um, and then most unhinged but legal food take I don't think I have one either I'm saying is dusty is even legal well I'm getting beaten because I haven't eaten food. Oh, no, it was the theoretical not you You're not just someone who has an adjuris e-mics. I could have it. Is that you the shoe fit? Listen, it's not my fault. That's you Steve. No names were named so If you think that applies to you Yeah Then that's gonna be it Took a dark turn All right, next question is from He's Soder I think from blue sky Jadae and Price who's running back Eli Stowers do tight end and a handful of wide receivers look like they could be offering the best position Slash tier value at number 52. Do you think the Packers will initiate an all-out fan rebellion and go running back tight end or wide receiver at 52? Steve do you want to even answer because I know you're on no draft mode? I mean, I feel like I can do this one since it's not actually asking about the the players and everything would it Would it? It would not surprise me if they if they went running back tight end wide receiver if there was somebody on their board that was higher than a defensive lineman or Cornerback or something along those lines. I wouldn't be shocked at all that we've seen them plan for the future by taking it by using premium picks on a running back for AJ Dylan when they had somebody already in line and That one didn't work out, but wouldn't shock me at all if goody took that swing again But do you think there'd be a fan rebellion if they took one of those positions? There's gonna be a fan rebellion no matter who they pick. That's true. Yeah, I mean I Of these I think tight end is the only one we're like I don't think there'd be a fan rebellion because it is Room's thin. I think everyone knows like craft is you know, who knows when he's gonna be back Hopefully beginning of the season, but I'm not sure Musgrave I think most fans do not like Musgrave Wiley was kind of like a wild card last year So I feel like a tight end would be like I think most fans would be on board with a tight end If it was running back or wide receiver I I do think the response would be overwhelming negative not that I would think that that's terrible But I I don't think fans the overall fan base would be a fan of wide receiver running back Yeah, I think the fan bases would Implode a little bit. I did talk about you know on the Ohana's Packers podcast that Darian Price is a good Pick for the Packers, but I don't think at 52 Like I think if he falls and he's still available or maybe they trade up a little more For him in a future round then he could be a good pick But I think if they Unless there starts to be a big run at running backs, which this class is pretty top-heavy So if they really want to target that position group and all of them start going and he's available there That's a scenario. I could see it, but I don't think that's like plan a for the Packers at all All right next question from Mike I've turned my girlfriend into a de facto Packers fan just by being obsessed She loves to joke that she's going to root for the Bears though if you had a divided family How would you convince someone to root for the Packers and not another team Steve? I don't think my answer is gonna be a fun one but There's really not gonna be convincing it like if you're having to convince somebody You kind of you kind of got to let that naturally come to be like if you try to force this Packers fandom up upon somebody Most of people are gonna fight against that. I'd be like, oh you want me to cheer for this team Whoa, maybe it'll be more fun to cheer against you and cheer for the Bears or the Lions or God forbid the Vikings But yeah, I think it's hard to really push that and you know convince somebody of it like so my best suggestion would be to to kind of instead of pushing them is just You know continue to talk about them at the Packers in a positive way that you why you like them What you like about them? Why you like the team all that kind of stuff and show them the fun like show them the interactions that you can have with There are plenty of positive Packers fans on Twitter So like taco show them some of that and things on those lines But yeah, if you're gonna try to force somebody into it, it's most likely to me. I don't think that's something that ever works I think depending on what team they're a fan of I would maybe slip some some Unf flattering headlines about the owner or GM, you know just around the house They they know that they get some coffee in the morning and under the mug It's like well Jerry Jones said what you know something like that poison the well a little bit for the team that they love but Really would just be a very much a I'm enjoying myself watching the Packers and maybe that enjoyment will end up rubbing off on them And they will come join me if they don't It doesn't really matter It's fine either way. I would like I would like my kids I would like everyone in my family to be Packers fans my older brothers a Patriots fan and we got along just fine So ultimately like unless they're going to be terrible about it I don't I don't really have strong feelings about I don't think both of my kids Have since kind of adopted the Packers My brother's got or my youngest my son has a Gile Alexander Jersey big gyro fan had to break it to him that he's no longer with the team That made him sad but still a Packers fan and my daughter loves them as well So I don't have to and my wife does careful football even single bit So I don't have to convince anyone, but I don't think I'd have to do a whole lot to try to do that Yeah, I think that the Packers to or they have such a rich history that if you appreciate Sports in general or just really cool traditions that you could get anyone to just Respect what it is to be a Green Bay Packer and just playing at Lambo Field and the special Community that is Green Bay and how it's so different and that you know There isn't an owner and that it's owned by the fans and I just think if you're a sports fan It's one of those teams that you don't have to even like it or love it But you're like wow the tradition of that is really cool And even if you're not a sports fan and you explain this to someone like this is why it has value I think anyone most people would would be able to see that you know I have friends who are huge fans of other teams 49ers bucks, but all of them say that at some point it's on their bucket list to go to Lambo Field and see a game I don't think that most teams can say that about the team that they're or most people can say that about the team that They're a fan of that people just want to like randomly Go see a game there because of all the history and because of all the tradition So I think that that's something that Packers fans definitely should use to their advantage Because it is a special team. It's and it's a very very special place as we all know All right last question before the break is there a realistic free agent player You see Green Bay signing or trading to prior trading for prior to the draft. We talked about this a little bit Steve I know you gave an answer dusty I don't know if you want to give a specific name and then start sit cut practice squad So we got four option here rom-coms mean girls fifty first dates how to lose a guy in ten days ten things I hate about you Steve any other Comments on the non football or on the football question before you hit the non football one Yeah, one of the only other one that I was thinking about you as far as Realistic because I don't know I honestly don't know how realistic to my Jennings is but Jadavian clowning would be a name that would intrigue me You know, he's getting up there a little bit the other one was outside linebackers for the Broncos and then for the bills and Can't think of his name right now He's getting up there though, he's like 37 years old von Miller. That was the other one Oh, okay, so, you know, maybe just somebody like that like we're an established veteran that it's not gonna be in all the time But can use him for pass rush a couple things like that would be something to go with that would say and then Starts it cut practice squad This is tough on but I will start me girls I do love that movie We did kind of joke around if that was a rom-com or not But you know, she ends up with the guy at the end. So that's like that's like a rom-com. I would say then I would sit 10 things I hate about you Cut how to lose a guy's in in 10 days and practice squad 51st days I like I do like Adam Sandler, but the combo of him and Drew Barrymore is a bit too much for me So like I do enjoy Drew Barrymore, but she's she can be a little bit nail on the track board for me Yeah, I went I mean DJ reader I mentioned a couple other names would be David and Joku for tight end like he has not been signed yet Again getting a little older, but he's been a nice receiving option who can block I think would fit in wall in with the Packers So maybe that price tag isn't quite as high as maybe it looked like it was going to be so we found that and I mean Trondig's is the name right now. I don't know that he's gonna turn in anything I his best days even his best days were I think a little bit smoke and mirrors those days might be behind him But there is that picture posted of him working out with Michael Parsons and he's wearing his Packers gear there So I think that's certainly I would say that's certainly on the table be Trondig's and it's an area of need So I wouldn't mind taking a flyer on a guy like that if they want to do that Starts to cut. Yeah, I honestly almost put practice squad mean girls because doesn't feel like a Chick flick to me or chick rom-com. Sorry, but but I decided not to so it's I mean start It's ten things ahead about you with a bullet starting that that movie is just absolutely dynamite I'm gonna sit mean girls I'm gonna cut how to lose a guy in ten days and practice squad 51st date So Steve the exact same as you only have flip mean girls and ten things they had about you I will say if it was wedding singer instead of 51st dates That's a much harder decision at the top wedding singer. Absolutely if we're looking at a sandler Barrymore thing Wedding singer rules the 51st dates is one of those. I don't mind, but it's not not nearly on that level Yeah, I one of my favorite rom-com or I think it might be my favorite rom-com ever is how to lose a guy in ten days I just something about that movie. I just have a soft spot for it. I love it. So starting that sitting Mean girls is not a rom-com in my opinion But I love mean girls so much that I would sit it cut ten things I hate about you Which I hate doing that because I love that movie too and then practice squad 51st dates kind of for the same reason that that you said Dusty I just I think that I could swap it out for there's so many movies that are like that like same Type of movie different font sort of vibe that I think I would switch out and still like it better So that's that All right, well, thank you to everybody who sent in questions for our kind of final hurrah before our break It looks like we're gonna have final thoughts from Steve first featuring a special guest Yeah, so this is my daughter soren she wanted she she wanted to help out and be on the podcast So here you go kid. What do you what do you have to say to the world about the Packers? Packers Pooping there we go exactly. Yep. That's if you have an 11 year old, you know exactly what's up perfect perfect But no again, thank you guys for listening all the time. We absolutely love it appreciate all the questions everything So while we take this break just a huge shout out and thank you to all the guys that always send in questions Brian Dave and I'm forgetting a whole bunch of them right now because I didn't Matt Yeah, a whole bunch everybody who always sends in questions huge shout out huge. Thank you to you guys for that Matt that was not on purpose. I swear. I promise. I wasn't leaving you out on purpose I just don't have I can't scroll through my phone quick enough to get through all everybody who does it So thank you guys for for always sending questions always participating it as we said before the show doesn't work without you guys And wanting to know what you want to hear about so thank you Yeah, for me. I got some stuff. I have written am writing so I'm continuing my call sheet series I'm working on third and long where I'm going through what the Packers did in 2025 I've got diagrams clips all that stuff So kind of analyzing how they did in a specific area against how everyone else did and explosive rating all that stuff So third and long I'm working on now. Hopefully that'll be out later this week. I also started a series I got two parts of it now over on so that's not me packing this call sheet series Over my sub stack, which is just dust evely dot sub stack comm. I think it's still that I started doing a football primer thing I know people ask me about like kind of general football terminology and stuff that like Sometimes I take for granted that like well, I know this and then try to explain it But it just too far down the rabbit hole at a certain point So first part is up now actually first two parts are up first part was on kind of personnel the the numbering system for personnel and then Formations so different kind of like formation jargon that you will hear what is trips? What's tray? What is bunch? What's clamp all of the like all of the stuff that you will hear? Either on a broadcast or on a podcast something that I tried to kind of take the bigger things and give some diagrams and say that That's what this is when you hear that that's what this is and the second part. I just came out this past weekend Which is run game basics inside zone duo wide zone? Power trap just kind of again like how that how the diagrams of kind of how that stuff looks when you hear that stuff What is actually being talked about? It's it's selfishly. It's a place for me to kind of put that stuff So when I talk about in other places, I always have a link back to it So I don't have to like fully explain that every single time But also is something that I know as we get further down this this kind of football rabbit hole and more people kind of start talking The same way it's easy to get lost in that if you don't know people are talking about and I've had people who will DM me and like they're too embarrassed to ask because I feel like they should know it and you shouldn't feel like you should know it because the A lot of this is like it's just it's stuff that people have kind of just taken on over time But it's not something everyone knows I'm trying to kind of distill that down and like these building blocks of football So I'm hoping to have next one up later this week on probably RPOs and we'll do passing game and stuff like that So I don't know how long it's going But it's just kind of if you want to learn more about the game and learn more about it in the terms that like other people are using and if you Lost It's this football primer series. I got two of those parts up now So I'm excited and with you know the draft stuff and be not doing all the draft stuff I've got more time to work on that this year. So like Steve said man, thankful for everyone who sends in the questions Thankful for everyone who listens to us We will be back in a month and a half and I'm really looking forward to learning from all of the very smart people on packet They're bringing on Instead of us. So I'm excited to see what this goes. Yeah, I echo everything that the two of you have already said We are excited to take a break not because we don't want to see each other and talk to each other every week But just because it's an opportunity for other people to Provide more content about things that we're not as knowledgeable about and like dusty mentioned it's an opportunity for us to learn to I know I'll be ituning every year because This is kind of my like crunch time to understand more about the draft and It's a nice few weeks leading up to it and then I feel like when I'm watching the draft I'm like, okay. Yeah, I have an idea based off what some of the really smart people are saying of what could happen So definitely, you know, obviously keep listening to pack a day There's some great people who are gonna be providing some really awesome draft coverage But there is just so much, you know, we always talk about that we are lucky that we have the wealth of content and Of all sorts, you know reading videos Podcasts whatever it is about the Packers.
