Summary
The Five covers breaking developments in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance case, including FBI release of surveillance footage showing a masked suspect, and discusses heated Capitol Hill hearings on ICE immigration enforcement where Democrats attacked leadership while officials remained composed.
Insights
- FBI technical expertise proved critical in recovering deleted Nest camera footage from cloud servers, demonstrating the value of federal involvement in complex investigations
- Public release of surveillance video generates citizen engagement and investigative leads that local law enforcement alone may not generate
- Democratic grandstanding at congressional hearings on immigration enforcement creates political theater rather than substantive policy discussion
- Economic performance and tariff impacts on household costs are emerging as key voter concerns that may affect midterm election outcomes
- Political polarization has intensified to the point where personal relationships are being severed based on partisan affiliation

It's time for. Hello, everyone. I'm Dana Perino, along with Emily Campagno, Jessica Tarlov, Jesse Waters and Greg Gutfeld. It's five o'clock in New York City. And this is the five. And a Fox News alert for you, a major breakthrough in the 10 day search for Nancy Guthrie, The FBI releasing chilling new surveillance photos and video of what they are calling a potential subject wearing a ski mask and tampering with a Nest camera on the early morning of Nancy Guthrie's disappearance. The person appears to be armed with a gun around their waist and carrying a full backpack. Let's go to Alicia Cunha. She is right outside of the home in Tucson, Arizona with this development. Hi, Alicia. Hi, Dana. And actually, the most recent activity is happening right now at Annie Guthrie's home. We have our crews out there because the sheriff's department and FBI have shown up and are walking the streets in Annie Guthrie's neighborhood. That's about a 10 minute drive from where I'm standing. And our team there tells us they are going house to house on Annie Street. Three detectives spent time in the backyard of a home that is two doors down from Annie Guthrie. We also know that they were seen searching through some bushes and some brush there. As I said, she lives about 10 minutes drive from where we're standing. Remember, the sheriff says this is where Nancy Ubered for dinner the night before she disappeared. Her son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, driving her home that night. The activity at Annie's house comes as the FBI released multiple images and videos from the Nest Cam that was taken from Nancy's front door in the early morning hours of Sunday. At 1.47 a.m. last Sunday morning, the sheriff says Nancy Guthrie's door cam disconnected. And then at 2.12, a person is detected. That is what we are seeing here, according to the FBI. Now, the timing in which these images were released by the FBI was impacted by the fact that the Guthrie family told investigators they did not recognize the person in these photos and videos. And, Dana, that is according to NBC News. At this point, the Pima County Sheriff's Department is saying that they will still not hold any news conferences or do one-on-ones with the sheriff until there is a major development. Dana? All right, Elisa, can I ask you a quick question? There's a lot of new information and people are trying to understand this. How long has this video or photograph been available to law enforcement? Do we know that? we don't know how long it's been since they've actually been able to see these images because we learned at the very beginning of the investigation that when the damage when that that net nest cam was damaged that they were and nancy guthrie didn't have a subscription to the service so she didn't have video that was captured so that data was actually stuck deep in the system and the companies that the nest company worked with the fbi to be able to go into the server to dig down deep into that data and grab it. We don't know at what point the Guthrie family saw it, at what point it was in the hands of the FBI. But from what we understand, once they realized that the Guthrie family didn't recognize this person, that they decided to take it to the public and ask everyone else's help for anyone else's help to see if they recognize the way this person walked, the way they moved, if there was anything about them that struck them enough to picture somebody else in their head. And if that happened, then they should go to law enforcement. Okay. Alicia, thank you so much. And Emily, this morning, it felt like there was no new leads, but then this afternoon we get this. And so maybe there is hope that they can find this person and then find Nancy Guthrie. Reminding me a little bit of the Koberger case where it felt like everything was at a dead end. And yet you sort of realized after a while when it exploded that it was just latent. And this underscores that just because we aren't hearing anything doesn't mean that all of those incredible investigators are not working round the clock to locate information. And just to underscore as well, you know, people can throw away and toss away very easily clothes. And we've heard from experts that many seasoned criminals will bring a second pair of clothes on the inside or in the backpack or the like. But I do think the backpack is significant. I can tell you guys what all of your purses and bags look like. And I'm sure you can say the same about mine. You know about your colleagues, the gate and that the hand use is so important. I remember being at a bar in Berkeley and seeing a young guy down the way. And because of the way that he moved his hands, I was like, oh, I remembered him from camp when I was 10 and we reconnected. Everything's awesome. You know, everything about someone's hand movements when you know them intimately. I was putting sugar in my coffee at the Oakland airport and a girlfriend I had not seen from high school in 15 years came up and said, I knew it was you when I saw you putting, you know, doing the coffee. So the point here is awareness. It means getting this footage out to the whole world because it is clear that the instant someone sees that person that knows that person, they will be able to identify them in an instant. And the more they narrow down that backpack, I think this is to where facial identification, if at any point, AI use software technology that can help pick up continuity. And also keep in mind, while we don't know the timing of this Nest video, we know it's Nest. The top right hand quarter had the logo originally. We don't know the timing, but they do, which means that all they need to do. And I hope there's compliance occurring with businesses and cameras around is locate and triangulate where this individual went during that window after that. We know there's been some issues with footage and being saved in the Tucson lightings and things of that nature. But at some point, they will find a commercial business or a home that picked up either the motorcycle or the method of transportation or that person walking and more. So I think this is so promising. Jesse, it seems like what a relief that there was the FBI involvement because they're the ones that know how to do all this stuff very well. Obviously, a local police department could call the FBI and ask for help. But President Trump called early on and said, I want you involved. I know that there were some struggles with the local police department at first, but without the technical expertise of some of the FBI agents who know how to do this stuff, they might not have found it. Yeah, Cash pulled the video out of the cloud and Pima hadn't been able to do that. So you look at him and he doesn't look like a professional. He looks relaxed, but not very determined. He looks like he's moving very slowly. Maybe he's familiar with the house, but it doesn't look like this guy's done this before. Kind of go in, you get out, and you have the equipment because he puts plants on the doorbell camera to obscure it. I would have brought something if I had cased it properly, maybe tape, maybe a cloth. But he wasn't prepared, and he kind of did what he had to do. And then the way he carries the gun with the holster just draped by his jock. No one carries a gun like that. That seemed goofy, just as goofy as the gloves. Now, if you're going in to do something like this, you want fine motor skills. And he's got these big, puffy gloves. I don't know if he's got two layers of gloves, but it seems a little haphazard. And he does kind of wander around a little bit. But people are saying that it looks kind of maybe like a local, not some guy that flew in and had targeted Nancy Guthrie from out of town. The close cropped mustache is apparent. The finely manicured eyebrows are very apparent. You can't tell whether he's black, white, Hispanic. I think they'll figure that out later, but the FBI does gait analysis and you'll be able to tell that height, weight. The backpack's kind of key because it looks filled up. So I don't know if he had done a bunch of burglaries earlier in the night and it was filled with valuables or he had tools to come in to do whatever he was going to do inside Nancy's house. I can't tell what he's got going on in the mouth because there's some reflection with the teeth. Does he have some sort of grill? Does he have a fake tooth? Does he have a light in his mouth? Who knows? Those are all things that could identify him. Yeah, absolutely. And all the clothing you can identify through the clothing. It's a huge break. I'm so happy. And it just doesn't seem like the family is being scrutinized as much anymore. Although this guy could be an associate of the family. This guy could also be an associate of any of the contractors that had came in. And that's why they're doing all the DNA analysis and going door to door. It could be someone who knew a neighbor. But this is just a great break. It is. And it gives it keeps hope alive. Sure does. Evan Alain, from watching all of the social media posts on Savannah Guthrie's channels, You know how badly she needed to hear something or see something that indicated that there was a chance that her mother was still alive or that they would figure out what happened to her. So extremely thankful for that. To what Jesse said, and I was talking to a friend in law enforcement as well, said it doesn't seem like he's particularly professional. There's opportunity for beads of sweat or spittle to be somewhere in the house because of the orifices that were exposed through the mask. So that's maybe a good thing. But throughout this investigation over the last nine days, I guess, since we became aware of it, it seems that I'm obviously no Nancy Drew myself. But things they've been investigating things that you would think they'd be looking at days prior. So, you know, how just a few days ago, because a neighbor called them, they finally found out that there was a camera on top of Nancy Guthrie's house or that the top of the house had been repainted. Or now they're looking in the back of Annie Guthrie's house, which I would have thought that that entire area would have been totally cased by this point. So there seem to be obviously more questions than answers we have at this point. And I'm just very thankful that the first few days where it sounds like local law enforcement and the FBI were not working in concert are over. Very relieved to see that it's all hands on deck for this. Greg, yesterday you suggested Savannah take a poly. Yes. Maybe that is happening. Who knows? That was a great suggestion. I'd like to take responsible for this breakthrough. There's a breakthrough. Yes, and I'd like to help anybody with this latest sketch of the suspect that I came up with right here. There you go. That's what we've got. Yeah, if you see anybody like this in your neighborhood, call the authorities. Or it could be on the Olympic ski team. We don't know. Why do people love this story? Because we all get to show off our chops as amateur detectives. You know, everybody suddenly becomes Herculee Perot or that guy from CSI, William Peterson. Oh, the eyebrows are too thin. Clearly an amateur. That backpack obviously is a motorcycle backpack But we all heard this stuff an hour before Two hours Two hours before Paul Morrow said it at 10 a And then somebody says at 11 Then somebody says at 1 And then I get to sit there and go hmm But it sounds better coming out of your mouth. I've been told. I've been told. But is this like we're oddly more unifying than the Super Bowl? Because everybody loves to feel like they're part of this investigation. I spent 10 minutes reading about the brother-in-law's band, Early Black. not my cup of tea but i wish we part of me is like i do feel guilty i wish we could harness this energy for other crime that we've covered i don't think we're uh guilty on that we cover the killings of women by illegals but the other networks don't but they're all in on this it's because this is a media-centric story and the media love stories that involve the media they could put themselves in the thing they can interview people that know the person it's all so wonderful yeah that's what saying. They know her. But you know what? What about the people that don't know anybody in the media? You know, the media could be generous with their coverage for people who aren't in the media for young women who are raped and murdered. That's all I'm saying. I'm not trying to be like a self-righteous because at the same time, I'm engaged in this. I love a mystery that the drip, drip, drip of details. I'm like a bird at an eyedropper, you know, and I don't know. So my two cents, they're going around Annie's neighborhood. You know, I think that that says everything. I also believe that, like, Savannah could still volunteer to do a polygraph because that's like one of us volunteering to do a charity. Then the rest of the four feels really bad. As you certainly would. Is that how it works? Yes. It doesn't work on me. Hey, you go first. It doesn't work on me. I knew it wouldn't. All right. But we want to get you to this. Fox News spoke to the Pima County Sheriff's Office. They were canvassing in Annie Guthrie's neighborhood and they were following up on previous leads. And let's bring in Randy Sutton in Tucson. Randy's a former law enforcement officer in Vegas. He was a Metro police lieutenant there. Randy, great to have you again. I had a chance to talk to you this morning. And since then, there's this major development. What do you think of it? This is incredible. Finally, some life shown in this investigation. As we saw it apparently degrade for the last few days, this is a major deal. And it really shows how important it was to have the FBI involved in this. It was through their technology that we were able to get these images and this video, which I believe will break this case. So the only issue I have, of course, is that they weren't called in sooner. But now that we have this, this is giving an incredible amount of leads for law enforcement to follow up. OK, let us see if there's anybody else here who has questions for Randy, Emily. Well, Randy, I mean, I was just thinking about this was a conversation that Greg was just having here on the table about other cases. So for a moment, I was thinking about the Daniel Robinson case, the missing geologist there in Arizona for quite some time. And I'm wondering, in terms of the overlap here, the issue there was lack of resources here. There is such an abundance. And so given that, what do you think is the nexus of the communication between these different agencies? Many cases we've learned after the fact that if they're using different platforms or there's not sort of a tree of reporting, that information can fall through the cracks or be delayed. Information or evidence cannot be preserved or collected accurately or adequately. Have you seen any of that yet? And do you feel now there's a cohesion moving forward that we can all benefit from? Well, that's a great question. I think that, unfortunately, at the beginning, at the outset of this investigation, that played a role because there was not the communication between the Pima County sheriffs and the FBI at the appropriate time. They should have been called in sooner. That being said, though, when you have on the ground now the FBI's major case agents here, they have command posts set up, they have incredible resources. Between their command and control and their coordination with other law enforcement agencies in this area, I think we will see a much better arena here when it comes down to the communication that is absolutely essential when it comes down to now the search for this victim. Jessica. Great. Hi, Randy. Thank you so much for joining us. I'm curious as to what you think the odds are that this gentleman was working completely alone, what an accomplice structure might look like if he was taking out a woman, probably incapacitated at that point, from her home. That's a heavy lift, right, to get out to a vehicle or motorcycle or however he was operating this. So what are your thoughts on the overall scope of how many people might be involved in this? Well, I do believe that when they eventually break this case, they're going to find that there was a relationship somewhere between the victim and this suspect. I'm not saying that he personally knew her, but I do believe that there will be a nexus that comes out of this. Now, I want to bring this up because I think it's been glossed over a little bit, and that is that we see that that backpack is full. What is it full of? And how does that correlate, in my belief, to the time that he spent in that residence? And I believe that that is very possible that what he has in that backpack were restraints and a devices to control the movement of his victim. And I think that's very, very troubling. All right. Greg, you have a question. I was just curious. They keep saying the video is a subject and not a suspect. Is it possible he's not a suspect? Right. No, no, no. These are used interchangeably in a situation like this. You notice they have to call them a person of interest. Thank goodness. Right. Yeah. But when it comes down to to the the terms that they're using, they are interchangeable in this situation. They refer to Jesse as a person of no interest. But actually, Jesse gets to go next. So prove your mettle here. Oh, God, there's the pressure. The ransom note, are we just now under the impression that that was just a total hoax? It's my belief that that was a total hoax. I'm calling this the Hercula Perot red herring, proverbial red herring, that took the attention away from the investigators. And when they do find whoever created this, I mean, I just want you to think of it. Whoever had the technological abilities to do this, they are what I call a tech monster because they are without any remorse. They are without any conscience. They are as cruel as cruel could be. And I hope they get punished to the furthest extent of the law. It's such an evil thing. Thank you, Randy Sutton. Maybe see you tomorrow morning. Appreciate it. I want to go to Trace Gallagher. He is in Tucson, Arizona with a report for us. Hi, Trace. Hi, Dana. I just wanted to kind of go over a couple of things. Randy was talking there about the full backpack, which is fascinating because some of the detectives and the police officers I have talked to say that you don't go to rob a house with a full backpack. You would go with an empty backpack, which means that there was something else at play here, maybe a different motive, maybe a different outcome was needed. It's interesting because if you look at this video, you think, what are police learning? They are learning a lot about this. For example, you look behind me at the house, Dana, the house is brick, right? So they look at this video, they can already tell you exactly how, well, within a couple of inches, exactly how tall this guy is because they go to the house, they measure the bricks, they measure it against the video, and they know that this subject, soon to be suspect possibly, is now between the heights of 5'8 and 5'10, which is kind of fascinating. They just go up, it's simple stuff. They're getting a lot of information on this. You talk about the backpack and the gun being in the front, right? Greg was talking about that earlier, or maybe it was Jesse. And you talk to the experts and they say, well, one, you don't want the gun on the side because you have a full backpack. Your movements to try to get the gun on the side are now hindered. And if you can't have it in the back, you really can't get to it altogether. So you put the gun in the front. You can tell if the subject is left-handed or right-handed simply by the way the gun is pointing. And you talk about how long the video took to actually capture. And what's fascinating about this is people have said to me a dozen times today, why didn't they show this video sooner? They didn't have it sooner. I mean, what we're talking to, I talked to Kurt Knudsen, the cyber guy, and he said, Trace, you have to understand that the first thing the FBI has to do is they have to get a warrant. That takes a couple of days. And then when you get the warrant, they've got to go in the cloud and they've got to try to retrieve this. But it's not just going in and looking for a bunch of pictures. What they have to do is they have to go in with the digital information and they have to rebuild the pictures. So it's not just, hey, I mean, this is needle in the haystack stuff times 100. And that's how complicated it is. But they go in, they get a nugget, they think something matches, and then they build the rest of the pictures and they came up with this video. It is kind of interesting that when you talk about why are they back in the neighborhood of Annie Guthrie today, maybe it's to show the pictures. Maybe they're trying to see if anybody in that neighborhood might recognize this person. But they also went and they were looking in bushes, right? What are they looking for in bushes? They're looking in several bushes. They went into the backyard of a neighbor. They were there for about 15 or 20 minutes. What are they doing in the backyard? What are they looking for? So a lot of things we still don't yet know, Dana, but we are learning very quickly. And by the time Fox News at night hits tonight, we're going to have a lot more answers than we just had. Trace, what other things in terms of the digital forensics did Kurt tell you they might be able to have if they're triangulating, as Emily had said? Or did Kurt have any other ideas for what the FBI agents who are more specialized in this than local police and have access to the companies? What else is out there? Well, I can tell you what they do know, Dana, and they're not releasing right now, at least not in exact terms. So we know that once they go in there and they kind of build this picture back together and get this video and they pull this thing out of the cloud there also no timestamp that we are aware of on that But Kash Patel says this is definitely video from the morning Now you go back to the original timeline and at 1 it disconnected the cam right The camera was disconnected. And then at 2.12 in the morning that we know that it detected somebody. And that was the whole thing is, how do you get the 2.12 video? You're trying to go in there. You're going after the cloud. You need that 2.12 video. And it appears, though they haven't confirmed this, that this video that we're watching was right around that area where they actually didn't have a camera, but they did have enough to be able to kind of rebuild what originally hit the camera. And then you had the pacemaker disconnecting at 2.28 in the morning. So 41 minutes is the gap. And the question is, when was this person on the porch on the house behind me exactly there? And that's what they're trying to put together. And I believe that they can take that information and eventually get a timestamp. And once they get the precise timestamp, that's going to give them a lot more information as to whether this person was actually on Nancy Guthrie's porch. when that 212 window was happening and about, you know, 16 minutes before the pacemaker disconnected from the phone. So there's a lot of information and they can also tell, you know, it's a tell when you look at somebody's body type and the way they walk, which is why video is so much more important. And if you look at the eyebrows, which appear kind of waxed, there's a mustache, there's a goatee and the eyes are significant. There also appears to be jewelry in the mouth. And all of that stuff is telltale, Dana. So you show it to somebody who knows that person. I mean, I could put a mask on anybody around here and anybody who knows that person is going to pick them out. So that's the hope here that somebody who sees those eyes and sees those eyebrows and the mustache and the way the mouth is kind of configured is going to say, I know that person. Okay. Greg's got a question for you, Trace. I know exactly what it is. Well, I didn't have really a question, but I guess I do now. You know, I saw something about there's a $50,000 reward for information. And I always think about how do they come up with that number? Like if I went missing, I would hope that the number would be higher than like if Jesse went missing. You know, it's interesting about that, Greg, the company notwithstanding, is that, you know, you talk to a lot of people who said if they upped that from $50,000 to $250,000, they would get precise tips in the next 15 hours, 14 hours, 12 hours. So it's interesting when you talk about money amount, motivating. Money is motivating. And the more money there is, the more motivated people become. Then why don't you start higher? Right. That's what I don't get. Why do you start small? This is not a period to be stingy. It's not like you're on an airplane. You're trying to get people to, like, take a later flight. Yeah, you just start up at the top. Million dollars right off the bat. Trace, thank you so much. The other thing is, we were talking the other night. Do you know that you have to pay taxes on your reward money? But Kennedy's fiance said, but there's no tax on tips. But yeah, but is there a tax on the ransom? When you get the ransom, do I have to pay a tax? Here's an interesting point that I want to leave. The reason why Fox is so amazing. The people we have in Tucson, Jonathan Hunt. Yep. Trace Gallagher. Brilliant. Trace and Hunt. Brilliant. Love it. And Alicia is amazing, too. No, it's going with her name. I know. She's got to change her name. I'm trying to help her out. All right. We will continue to monitor this breaking news on the disappearance of Nantie Guthrie, and we are praying for a great outcome here. But coming up next, ICE leadership kept their cool as Democrats cranked up the heat on Capitol Hill. This is Ainsley Earhart. Thank you for joining me for the 52-episode podcast series, The Life of Jesus. A listening experience that will provide hope, comfort, and understanding of the greatest story ever told. Listen and follow now at foxnewspodcasts.com or wherever you listen to podcasts. Fox News Alert. We just got some breaking news on the search for Nancy Guthrie. Let's go to Jonathan Hunt in Tucson. Jonathan. Jesse, good evening to you. We're here at the Pima County Sheriff's Department. And I can tell you within the last 20 minutes, two SWAT trucks have departed the parking lot here at the sheriff's department. Now, is that significant? Frankly, we don't know. But what I can tell you is this. We saw them loading up one of those SWAT trucks with shields and other gear and the sheriff's deputies getting in about 10 minutes later. And that was just a few moments ago. A second SWAT truck rolled out of here. I can also tell you this, that in the eight days that I have been here now at the Pima County Sheriff's Department, that is the very first time we have seen those SWAT trucks move anywhere. Now, it could be entirely unrelated to the Nancy Guthrie case, but it is an interesting development, at least on a night when clearly, Jesse, this investigation is gathering momentum. Jesse. Thank you. I have a feeling we'll be back to you soon. Well, we will continue to monitor the developing story. But now to the fiery hearing on Capitol Hill. Democrats tried to bait and go DHS leadership testifying today in the week of the two deadly shootings in Minneapolis. But the brass kept their cool. Will you stand with the kids who you're supposed to protect? Or will you side with the killers bringing terror to our streets? Mr. Lyons, will you resign from ICE? I'm just sick and tired of your agents running around in our cities, in our streets, causing illegal activities. I have no respect for the inheritors of the Klanhood. Think you're going to hell, Mr. Lyons? I'm not going to end. Of course not. So the Democrats were probably licking their chops before this hearing. Do you think they delivered? They delivered to themselves. I'm sure that they are patting themselves on the back. This was a beautiful illustration of the hysterical theatrics that the left engages in, and especially those elected officials on the left. There are people like Swalwell who can't go one minute without just pandering to whatever followers he thinks he has. And then you contrast that with the cool, collected professionalism of those brave men and women who are out there and up there testifying on the Hill and representing all of us, because that's the thing. All of these gentlemen and everyone at ICE who are putting their lives on the line to enforce the laws that are in place to protect us. So what I see there, everyone in that room is supposed to be a person of service. But all I see at those hearings is those gentlemen who are actually serving the American public and then those Democratic elected officials who are serving themselves. And I know we're going to get to potentially the body cam issues later, but I think it's telling that those Democrats who have reversed their opinions on body cam footage, like everything that they are for disappears in an instant. It is so ephemeral when they say it's essential for accountability right up until they might show what is actually happening, because it is the truth that absolutely explodes the cheesy and horrific and dangerous narratives that all of those Dems are putting forth. Jessica, what did you learn from the hearing today? Todd Lyons, cool cucumber, right? I mean, that's what I would expect from someone high up in law enforcement to be able to take the incoming. And, you know, I thought that he was solid. I would have liked him to have been to have more give, almost like Tom Homan was in the press conference, the first press conference that he gave when he got to Minneapolis, when he acknowledged that mistakes had been made and that if that hadn't been the case, then there would be no reason for there to be a change in leadership. It is quite obvious from the fact that we have two dead Americans and all of these terrible violations of the First and Fourth Amendments, for instance, that ICE has not been behaving perfectly, to say the least. But I think they did their job. And if we're going to pretend that it's only Democrats that grandstand at one of these hearings, no one is being honest about that. But, you know, if you want to be making the argument at this particular moment that all ICE is doing and Border Patrol is enforcing the law, and those of you are going off and complaining about a little thing there and a little thing there, you're just totally out of step with the American public. And the issues that many of those Democratic representatives were raising are very real and personal to Americans. It's reflected in Donald Trump's approval on immigration. It's reflected in the way that people feel about ICE, that it has record high support for abolishing it. I already said the First and Fourth Amendment violations. U.S. citizens that are being detained, having shown sometimes proof of citizenship and then sometimes not because you're not supposed to have to. Border Patrol agents spraying, pepper spraying Americans, migrant kids in that Dilley detention center. ProPublica went in there. Kids getting food with worms in it. No, not worms. Are you kidding me? Also, they're being detained. It's court ordered. You can only be in there for 20 days. What was the First Amendment violation? I missed that. Oh, that you can't protest. You rattle all this stuff off. It's not rattling. It's the Constitution. And it's happening in environments that you create. Stop it, Greg. No, I'm not going to stop it. Well, anyway, my time is up, so you go. All right. None of the people at that hearing deserve any credibility. Because do you know who put the people, the nonviolent, hardworking illegals in jeopardy? those people. They forced the government to lump the hardworking law-abiding illegals in with the very worst because they wouldn't cooperate in order to get rid of the very worst. So you have these environments where, quote, the First Amendment, the Fourth Amendment, worms in the food, all these things are happening and somehow that's ISIS fault. No, no, no, no, no. This has always been their game plan from the start. It was never to protect the hardworking illegals, but to go to the government, to target them by not giving the government the ability to focus on the worst. We started with let's do the worst first. They said, OK, but then they didn't. They didn't cooperate. So that forced the government to widen the net. What happens when you widen the net? You have to go after the people that aren't violent. Who created that? The very same people that are calling it out. Stephen Miller has been fantasizing about going after everybody since he was a child. I remember there was a time when you believed in going after the worst first and you fell for this line in sync. You did the conflation of illegal and legal It happens It like it like all of a sudden we back at square one We not taking it We done I would just say that I feel like the Democrats never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. So they got President Trump to back down in Minneapolis. He sent Tom Homan in. They're taking agents out. They could have said, thank you, sir. We that's what we demanded. Instead, they have to lie to their online base to show them that they're actually doing something. So now they're promising their base something that is not going to happen. They are saying that we will abolish ICE. That's not going to happen. President Trump is not going to allow that to happen. Besides, ICE is actually funded through 2029. You would only be taking money away from FEMA and TSA. It's like when the Republicans said that Obama would eliminate Obamacare, that he was going to sign a bill that eliminated Obamacare. That was lying to the base. And where did that get the Republicans? Nowhere good. So this is just happening again with the Democrats when they could have said, we won that one. Let's move on to the next one. You people are so dishonest. Did you see the CBS redefining crime as nonviolent child porn, human trafficking, trying to say that only only 14 percent of these people are violent. The people that killed like on Gary and Rachel Moore and those people were nonviolent before they killed them. I had one other thing that's just like people who come here and then steal someone's identity. Yeah. And ruin somebody else's life for years. I mean, that's maybe a nonviolent crime, but certainly for the American that goes through it, it really sucks. I'd rather be on the side of ice than on that side, Jessica. All right. Up next, the Democrats think Trump is finished in the midterms. But the president's got a trick up his sleeve. Democrats swear that Trump's MAGA magic is wearing off, despite his base support as stronger than ever. According to the loudest voices on the left, 47 might as well throw in the towel on the midterms. The a** whipping that is coming is going to be complete and it's going to be total and you're going to be disgraced. The public has turned against him. Donald Trump's coalition, the Republicans' coalition is not crumbling from the edges. It's crumbling from the center. He's losing the independence. Jessica. I don't know. Her thoughts. I don't know. Trump has been around for too long as a feature in our lives to do this. Not long enough. And it shall go on forever, it feels, to be like, I'm writing him off. But what they're talking about is a very real change in sentiments. They say, you know, the base is with him and the MAGA base has been with him since he came down the golden escalator. So there has been a big drop in his support among non-college voters down to minus nine approval. But the economy is what people show up to vote on. And his ratings on the economy are absolutely dismal. Of the average of polls, it's at minus 18. You have unemployment up. Jobs numbers have been consistently terrible. You have Peter Navarro out today kind of pre-budding what will be a bad jobs report. Tax Foundation had a new report saying that the average American household paid an extra $1,000 last year because of the tariffs. It'll go up to $1,300 this year. Consistently, voters say, though, Trump isn't focused on the things that they care about, which is lowering prices. And I think that there are two plot lines of the administration for obvious reasons really want to ignore but matter to voters. First of all, Donald Trump and his family, their corruption. This story, Andy McCarthy is doing a series for the National Review on it. All the crypto money that they're taking in from the UAE and others is a really big deal. And then what's going on with the Epstein files. And I'm not making this partisan. I'm saying it is an elite problem. problem. John Ossoff is now calling it the Epstein class and even name check George Soros in his campaign rally. If it's us versus them and Trump is just saying, ignore it, it's going to go away. And you have Howard Lutnick, for instance, testifying that he went to the island in 2012 when he said in 2000, you never cared about this until now because Trump won. This is just like immigration. You didn't care about all the illegals until Trump won. And now you care about Epstein. Trump's fine under Epstein. And I was obviously very careful to say that I am not accusing the president of doing anything. I'm saying that he has an Epstein-Files problem and he knows it. No one has a problem more than the Clinton. Who cares? Don't elect Bill Clinton. You brought it up. I don't care. Don't vote for Bill Clinton. Bill, if you're going to run, don't do it. You brought it up. By the way, you mentioned the economy. Inflation is great. It's the only reason why the look at everything Trump's gone after immigration, the economy, foreign policy, all huge wins. But he's it's two against one. He's got to fight the Democrats and the media. It's always going to be that way. We're used to it. We'll take it. But wherever Trump succeeds, you're always going to get this blowback. And it's a trade off. The more Republicans love him and they do, the more insane the vitriol will be, because that means he's doing his job. See, I would be worried if he was getting strange new respect from The View or Morning Joe or Dear Jessica saying, you know what? I think he's really grown. He's really evolved. But the fact that you hate him now more than you've ever hated him meant that he is fulfilling his promise. And I like that. Jesse, to that point, eight out of 10 Republicans love MAGA. And that's up from seven out of 10 two years ago. And this is a repeat note from the Dems who every time every time something happens or they manufacture something, this is the end of this is the end of this is the end of this is the end of him. No, actually, it's not the end of him. He keeps getting better and better. Just the beginning. Third term. I love it. I have a hat. I love it. Jessica comes on the show and she gets so excited to spew all this garbage. And you can just tell how frantic she is just to get it all out. Because you guys interrupt me nonstop. Absolutely nothing. The country hates you guys. We don't trust you. You ran everything into the ground. We're pulling ourselves back. It'll take a little time. It's fine. We're going to handle things from now on, all right? We're going to handle the economy. We'll handle the border. We've already handled crime. You guys just sit back and whine about the problems you created. We're not even listening to you anymore. And I say that with respect. Dana, we're listening to you. And I would just say that the economy is poised to boom and possibly at a time that's very good for him. 5.7%. I don't know what five points that would be. OK, well, we'll see. GDP. I don't know. But whatever. Dow Jones is closing at 50. People look at their 401ks. They feel pretty good. The tax bills are going to be less and the tax returns are going to be better. And the green and the gas prices are way down. So all of those things could really help. But there are headwinds. And Republicans have shown a willingness and independence in particular to take a flyer on President Trump in the midterms. That could happen again. But everybody's starting out at this point with Republicans in a better position than they thought they were going to be because of the economy. Totally. All right, everybody. Bill Maher calls out the Kimmels for icing out Republicans. Your fate. Never let politics kill your friendship. Bill Maher calling out Kimmel and his wife for cutting ties with friends and relatives on the right. Jimmy Kimmel, you know, he's very mad at me. This is the difference between the right and the left. It bugs me so much. My tribe is supposed to be the left, but these are the people who just can't talk to you unless you're exactly there. On the horn, Dana, let's just go down. Look, I appreciate what he says. I just don't... I feel like we do the same segment with him every single time. He's saying the same thing over and over to his tribe and his friends who don't seem to get it. They don't seem to care. Jesse, I was walking rookie today in my neighborhood on my street. On a leash. Yeah. And this is your boyfriend. This car comes throttling down and he looks me right in the eye. He was already angry and he sees me and I give him a wave because he was a neighbor, I thought. And all of a sudden he passes me, screeches on the brakes, rolls down the window and says, F you fascist. Whoa, really? Really? Is that real? In my neighborhood. For real. I swear to God, this happened this afternoon. And I'm thinking to myself, like, how does he doesn't know I'm a fascist? Yes, he does. You're on TV. Do I come across as a fascist? No. I'm like, what? No, I don't, Jessica. How dare you say that? Fascist? You don't even know what a fascist is. Fascist curious? Maybe. My big revelation from this round of this interview, which does happen all the time, was I didn't actually know that Adam Carolla wasn't conservative. like when he's talking about, I don't know why people think that, like, I'm pro-choice. I don't own a gun. I'm not religious. All these things like people, I guess my people can't compute if you just aren't into certain aspects of the orthodoxy. He's a right winger. Oh, well, now he is. Or maybe always was. Yeah. I mean, you guys, you know, we're from the Bay Area. I'm from like deep in the Bay. And I've so many friends weirdly stopped talking to me when President Trump won the second time. Nothing I did. Nothing I said. Just because he went. There is an inability to even associate with someone that dares think differently. And by the way, everyone did it quiet quitting. Not one person had the backbone to look at me in the face and say, hey, I want to talk to you about something. Maybe they were just looking out. One more thing's up next. Trash! It's time for one more thing, Greg. All right. Tonight we have Kennedy, Jim Florentine, Aaron McGuire, Tyrus. Let's do this. I hate these people. All right. As you know, if you follow me on Twitter, I've been locked out of Twitter for five days. I have three point one million followers, but that's where I get my news. Now, I'm not saying followers to go tweet at Elon Musk and say, why can't you get Greg back on X? Because I can't get a human voice to help me on X. I try. I can't get anybody to talk to me. It's driving me crazy. But maybe just let Elon know because I can't. Elon, if you're watching, please help him get back on X. Jesse. All right, let's go around the world. We have Peru here. We go cultural festivities gone amok. Hundreds of dancers and performers celebrating Kanderea Festival, folklore, dress and traditional garb. It's a ceremony. It goes all the way back to indigenous times. That creature from Star Wars. Nancy Guthrie coverage tonight. Yes, I literally...
