And now that girl is missing. You're up early. Not as early as you. Couldn't sleep. Every time I closed my eyes I kept seeing those two kids in that crazy training facility under Whittier Corp Tower. You said last night you thought you saw them use powers? I know I did. And you're sure the boy was the one we saw here the night of the fire? Oh yeah. What about the girl? I didn't recognize her. She had, I don't know, a buzzing coming off her hands. An electric current maybe? That's alarming. 37 floors underground. Like a whole other building I didn't know existed. They're obviously keeping it from the above board and above ground scientists. James, the work I've done, the research on immunity and disease prevention in kids. I'm afraid they're using it for the wrong reasons. If Adelaide Whittier gave you that password then it sounds like she wanted you to discover it. But why? Monica, now that we know I can't help but wonder if there are kids in this world who are, you know, different. Special. Then maybe birdies one of them? Yeah. But how? I don't know. Because those kids in Whittier Corp were training like soldiers or agents. Birdies just... Birdie. I'm sorry. Just Birdie? She didn't mean it like that Bird. You're very special. Hey, Cyrus may be super smart but put him underwater and he's hopeless. Did you just call me hopeless? Welcome to the Convo. How are you? I know I'm the favorite but... Hey! Now look, you are both plenty different and special but we have something we need to talk to you about. Wait, Cyrus. Did you just get home? How early did you leave? If by early you mean the middle of the night then yes, you are correct. Oh, this should be good. Where were you? Just walking around. All night? Walking and talking. Completely innocent. Talking with whom? Brindley? Okay. First of all, ill. And second of all, why? Did you forget she saved Bruce in the fire? You're right. It does count for something. And you're home just in time because mom and dad seem to have a true form they want to drop. Kind of got one of those myself. About you and Brindley? About all of us. You guys want to go first or should I? Let's start with you. Great. Raise your hand if you've been feeling like none of what we're living right now is real. Like somehow it's... wrong. Mm-hmm. Wow. First unanimous vote in Anders' family history. Well, I think it feels wrong because it is wrong. Wrong how? It's like Sybot said. This isn't the life we're supposed to be leading. I knew it. We should be in a mansion on the beach in Hawaii. That's not what I mean. Something changed along the way. Something none of us can remember. How could we all forget the same thing? When you say... changed. Do you mean like reality? I don't know, but it says if we were supposed to go in one direction and then something got... lost. And the world went screwy. Your father and I, we feel that too. And I may know how to figure out what we lost. And more importantly, how we can get it back. Wittier Corp. Wittier Corp is the key to finding what's missing. But you said yourself you don't know half of what happens there. Let's just say I'm learning more every day. We got some intel about the research they're doing and other parts of the building underground to be specific. So now what do we do? We can't just like storm the castle. Can we? Absolutely not. Well, not without a plan. Oh, plans are boring. Is there an underground river or a well system I could swim through? Slow down, bird. We have to operate like someone from Wittier Corp is already onto us. Oh, I think it's pretty clear they're onto us. From birdies, aquatic abilities, my interrogation, the mysterious notes, cybot's message. A fire. Wait, you think the fire was intentional? The inspector said it started from a power box outside the house. So it was electrical? Electrical? James? Yeah, that's where I was going with it. What is it? Your mom saw something last night, a teenage girl with what looked like electrical powers. She was training with a large young man who happened to be here the night of the fire, and who appeared to extinguish it by draining it of heat. Yikes. Two teenagers with abilities. Three, including me. Hey, the free sky was... Was he cute? Birdie. Just curious, hey. So you said you have a lead, mom? I don't know what it means, but it's called the holiday project. Holiday? The word cybot keeps repeating. Not just him. Brindley had a dream where she heard a girl's voice saying it too. Holiday. Holiday. Holiday. It feels like more than just a word. You're right. It feels... I don't know. Personal? Familiar. But what? What is it? I don't know. But until we figure it out, we need to behave as normal as possible. It's very likely that we're being watched. So we all go to work, to school, and we don't make waves until we are ready to take action. Deal? Your use of the word waves feels kind of like an attack. Bird. Fine. Deal. Deal. This is nice. Nice? Mom? We're a team again, kiddo. Feels like it's been a while. Sinus. Cyrus. Hey. Brind... Hey, hey. Brindley. Locker trouble. Too many books. I know the problem well. They just didn't build these things for overachievers, did they? Guess not. Um, can we talk? I thought that's what we were doing. Yeah, but like, away from people, I found out some stuff from my mom. Hey, sci-fi. Brind Sanity. Casey. Hi. Hi. Hi. Hi. Maybe you can help see. No, she can't. Definitely not. Okay, Brindley. Always a pleasure. Sci-fi. Ready for physics? We weren't done talking. Looks like the bell disagrees. Come on, we're gonna be late. Uh, Syrus, we should really finish that conversation. Maybe later. I know. Sorry, Brindley, Mr. Malin is a pain if we're late. I'll text you or... Throw rocks. Whatever, buy. You have to tell me what that was about. Seemed intense. Oh, it was... nothing. I mean, speaking of intense, that's a pretty gnarly bruise on your arm. Huh? Oh, that's so embarrassing. What happened? Karate! Karate happened. You do karate? Since when? What? Nerds can't also have hands and feet that are lethal weapons? I guess they can. So what? Belt are you? Red. Brown. Uh, just got promoted to Brown. Turns out wooden boards? Pretty hard, Syfy. Yeah! Don't make waves. Don't make waves. Ivan? Cookies and cream. Universal access, granted. What can I do for you, Dr. Anders? Ivan, what can you tell me about... The Holiday Project? The Holiday Project, originally named Project Jude, appears first in Jakey Whittier's records in the early 1960s. But wait, that isn't right. Sorry, what isn't right? My memory files are corrupted. Someone's at the door. Shall I open it? I wasn't expecting anyone. Who is out there? One moment. But what your court employee has been recently transferred to your department? May I let her in? Oh, sure. Of course. Hello? Hello, Dr. Anders. It's so lovely to finally meet you. I'm Dr. Mirabel Sons-Dis. Is Iris Casey your late? Please close the door behind you. You don't know how to open it? The door. An open? It closes. How did you know I was going to say that? I don't know. It just came to me. Alright, let's go to your seats, please. Sorry. Let's go. Very well. Now everyone, I'm excited to share that we have a new student joining our class. I'd like to make him feel at home, so let's all introduce ourselves. Mr. Perry, since you're sitting closest, why don't you go first? Oh, yeah. Sure. Hi. I'm Casey. Former new kid myself. Nice to meet you. Oh, good to meet you too. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10. I'm 10.
