Summary

O'Connor & Company discusses Kristi Noem's husband Byron's revealed cross-dressing activities and national security implications, George Washington University's record $98,000 annual tuition, and White House correspondent Reagan Reese's reporting on Trump administration policies including mail-in ballot executive orders and DC homeless encampment cleanups.

Insights
  • National security vetting processes may have failed to uncover or address personal conduct that could create blackmail vulnerabilities for high-level government officials
  • Elite university tuition inflation significantly outpaces inflation rates, with GW charging more than Harvard despite lower rankings, driven partly by international student demand
  • Trump administration's executive actions on election integrity and urban cleanup are generating measurable results that differ from Biden-era policies
  • Political consistency on personal conduct issues varies by party, with selective criticism based on political affiliation rather than principle
  • Trade careers offer faster financial returns than expensive four-year degrees at prestigious universities

the day. I'm going to be with you. Now on 105.9 FM and streaming worldwide on the W M A L app O'Connor and company. Oh, yeah. Yeah. It's 807. It's O'Connor and company on this first day of April Wednesday in your nation's capital. Am I the only one here who finds myself singing the cars for kids jingle at various times while we were prepping for this next segment. I was just singing it to myself. I can't this segment took me in a different direction. Well, yeah, this next segment has nothing to do with cars for kids. I guess not. You mentioned it. Okay, let's set that aside. I wasn't singing it because of prepping for this segment on Kristie Nomes husband. It was just in my head. It's it's one of those things coming up in 30 minutes. Reagan Reese Whitehouse traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled traveled of having Patrice on WUCA and a triple triple what do you call it triple dose triple header anyway thank you for being here Patrice. Oh it's wonderful I I love trying to fill in for Julie for a couple of days and yeah and having some sunshine over my shoulder so I can't help it. Happy Easter to Julie of the entire gunlock family. I'm sure she's having a great time on her recovery and we can't wait to get her back soon. Alright so let's get to it. Honestly I'm glad Julie Gunlock is not here for this segment because she would get me in trouble or herself in trouble. Kristi Noem former secretary of Homeland Security former governor of South Dakota former congresswoman of South Dakota and as you know they were to call them rumors is not quite right. There were verified reports that Kristi Noem has been spending an inordinate amount of time with former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski. Yeah it was a well-known Washington secret. Again I don't even want to use the word secret it's just because it hasn't been publicized or verified by the two parties involved it wasn't a secret. Everybody knows it. Everybody sees what's going on here. She's got her new job. She goes to Guyana as part of the you know the shield agency or whatever it is that we're doing and he is sitting next to her in Guyana. It's like guys you're not even trying to hide it. So what do you want to call it a secret or a rumor or whatever it is what it is Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski okay and it even came up in a hearing when a Democrat congresswoman breaching norms and being completely out of line he's like are you having an affair with Corey Lewandowski and Kristi Noem did not deny it. We reported though she just you know expressed outrage. Alright so now we've got this story at the Daily Mail yesterday that sort of crystallizes a whole lot of what's going on here I think. It turns out that her husband Mr. Byron Byron Noem leads a double life and there are photos to prove it. Byron Noem the husband of Kristi Noem is apparently... I can't because I'm just reading what the Daily Mail is reporting. Yeah alright I'll just read it you're right I'll just read it. Secret double life of Kristi Noem's cross-dressing husband Byron the pouting busty bimbo photos and trove of explicit messages. Kristi Noem's husband is today revealed as a secret cross-dresser who dons gigantic thick breasts and pink hot pants to chat with online fetish models while his wife is operated at the highest echelons of government handling matters of national security in her recent role as secretary of homeland security Byron Noem 56 has been dressing up and playing adult entertainers to talk dirty. And yes there is a picture of the aforementioned busty bimbo and it's a graphic graphic image of... Yeah don't don't have the kids google right now don't let them ask rock about Kristi Noem's husband please. Well we waited until eight o'clock to do this segment because well although there isn't a school this week because they're... Well that's right the kids are off there. Well what are you gonna do I mean listen then we can't pick and choose what's in the news. So there you go. I mean okay so when I first heard when I first saw this story break yesterday Larry the first person I thought of was Anthony Wiener because we have seen in politics where these spouses of people in in political roles can sometimes lead double lives. Now this said there is a difference here. Mr. Noem is not talking to underage children and carrying on flashing his you know fake boobs. Yeah to kids. Oh in Anthony Wiener's case it was a very real well a member of the house. A real member his personal body. Also Anthony Wiener was an elected official too not just the husband of Hillary Clinton's chief of staff. Yeah very good point here you have the husband of you know an elected official and serving in a high post in the Trump administration carrying on but he's an adult and he apparently unless we hear otherwise he is talking to other adults. The image of the his his bustiness. It's a little jarring. It is a little disturbing I agree with you we were talking about it. I don't know if it's because he was holding the camera but let's not speculate. Let's not speculate. It just is what it is. They are what they are. It just does not look natural I mean it's not natural but it just looks disturbing. It is it looks disturbing. There's a reason why it doesn't look natural Patrice because men aren't supposed to have those. Not in that size. There are a lot of there are a lot of questions that need to be answered here. First of all by the way Kristi Noem has spoken about this she says she's devastated. She says the family was blindsided by this and we ask for privacy and prayers at this time. Okay well hold on a second. Ryan Kredeski a political analyst and commentator and a conservative took to X and said I mentioned on my podcast months ago that one of Trump's cabinet members was telling reporters off the record that her husband was gay. I didn't name Noem by name out of respect for privacy but for her to say that she had no idea kind of flies in the face of what she was saying at the time. So I mean if she's blindsided maybe she's blindsided by the cross-dressing activities. I don't know I mean you're in a marriage do you think that your husband could hide this sort of thing from you? No I mean I would I would I know every single piece of mail that comes into our house. I know every hiding spot in our house for anything. I would find the fake you know breasts hanging around and I don't wear pink hot pants so you know I would know somebody and there I'm the only female in my house so there's nobody else wearing pink hot pants. For the record if you were to wear hot pants they would be pink. Well yes yes and I do have pink shorts and I did wear a very short pink short swim outfit skirt yesterday but that's mine and I know I bought it not for me not for my spouse you know what I mean so I maybe the children are blindsided they have three adult children and that's a whole other you know I kind of feel sorry for the children who have to now deal with the fallout but. So I have I have two observations one for the Trump administration and our national security apparatus and one for the liberals and leftists who were sort of raising this issue and either mocking it or saying oh this is terrible this is horrible. First for the Trump administration she was the secretary of homeland security I mean that's a pretty high level important top secret national security position. Was this not known? Was this not discovered or discoverable because there was a time in our country where this sort of thing in someone's personal life would prohibit them from having a job like that because of blackmail purposes. That's that's something that I think requires some transparency and some explanation to tell you the truth during the vetting process. President Trump has commented on this by the way told the Daily Mail they said oh they confirmed it wow well I feel badly for the family by the way they confirmed it. Yes. Yes that you know people know right. Yeah I feel badly for the family if that's the case that's too bad I haven't seen anything I don't know anything about it that's too bad I just know nothing about it. So number one I think that there are you know for those of you who think oh we're just doing some tabloid stuff and we're just having but yes it is kind of funny but at the same time it's weird it's bizarre and it's also a very important significant national security risk you know which brings me to the left. Liberals deride J. R. Grohooper for being a cross-dressing maniac which by the way is a complete urban myth by the way and for people on the left who are now criticizing Kristian Ohm and raising some sort of iron concern. Matt Walsh pointed this out Matt Walsh commentator for Daily Wearer said that for God's sake we had a cross-dressing freak running health and human services for four years under Joe Biden. A dude who would dress up like a woman and pretend to be an admiral by the way throwing his weight around and affecting policies that that abused little children you know affirming policies that ended up mutilating children chemically and surgically and celebrating those policies so please get to the back of the line for you to comment on this trust me plenty of us on the right who are concerned about this kind of behavior we're not going to look the other way we're going to talk about it we're going to raise the issues but for those of you who celebrate this kind of dementia on your side of the aisle go sit out these are the same people that said nothing about the bald-headed cross-dressing freak who was in charge of Sam Britton who was a shoplifter thief burglar stealing black women's designs and he was in charge of nuclear policies at the Department of Energy and they defended him and celebrated him so you have nothing to say here my friends and the good news is we actually are consistent with our principles and our values and just because Kristi Noem is a Republican and it's the Trump administration no this is a serious problem and there needs to be answers about how she was confirmed as Secretary of Homeland Security while this was going on in her home and the only two answers are number one we didn't know about it and that's a problem or we did know about it but we didn't think it was an issue and that's a problem it's 817 next roll with Vernon Davis the transformative journeys of athletes artists and entrepreneurs ladies and gentlemen lights out Sean Merribeck I want to be the biggest and the best when I do and so whatever it takes I'll get it done in business and everything else all I do is know how to fight and earn what I want my man Malik asks what actor comedian would you want to collaborate with me Jamie Foxley Kevin Hart in a movie we said it on Vernon Davis podcast so we'll circle back be like yep it's gonna clear next roll with Vernon Davis follow and listen on your favorite platform coming up we got a little potpourri of topics here real fast I just saw that Don Lemon on a podcast said that if he were president he would solve our nation's problems lickety split that's what he said Patrice lickety split really do you think that sound is going to be part of Chris plant show today you think yeah do you think perhaps Don Lemon saying he would solve the nation's problems lickety split might be part of the Chris plant show rundown today I think it's a thing that can't even solve the problem of getting himself a real gig or a gig back on television but okay let's move on amazing yes let's move on it was reported yesterday that George Washington University ranked currently number 59 in the nation okay thanks to US News and World Report in best colleges in America and just so you know number 59 ain't so great but they're number one in something they're number one in tuition they have announced that next year returning students will be paying 98 thousand dollars a year for George Washington University and by the way they'll be giving an education to all the upcoming democrat politicians who will then run on affordability when they were office 90 so a hundred grand a year for George Washington University oh my gosh that is that is ridiculous but again we have found an area where as an example throwing money at a solution only makes the problem more expensive because the you know tuition rises at almost a rate of 50 cents for every dollar of um of federal government money that's that's provided so yeah but that's true with all colleges why would George Washington be so extraordinarily out of whack 98 thousand dollars I can tell you when my oldest my second oldest who went to the naval academy she had a very narrow scope of colleges she was looking at MIT and naval academy and she she got into both and she chose navy my other my son only looked at california universities he only wanted to stand the uc system because he's a beach volleyball player so so my oldest I went I ran the gamut with my oldest she applied everywhere harvard michigan chicago johns hopkins uh stand for calvary all over the place including georgetown and george washington can I tell you something and that was uh eight years ago yeah at the time george washington was the most expensive school it was I think 75 000 a year if I remember wow 75 000 a year and thankfully she didn't choose to go there um I don't know how she would have afforded it on her own without her parents participation but there's something about being in foggy bottom I guess that makes the board of regents at george washington think that they can demand that kind of money it's shocking and this is for an under Gregory this is just for your basic four-year education at george washington well so I'm looking at harvard which is usually ranked about number one or number two harvard is coming in at less than that tuition is 57 000 and the total total attempt cost of attendance is between 85 and 90 000 and harvard is number one number two so for gw to be ranked so so high in terms of cost I mean I've got to think part of it is the the the cost of living on campus but actually no the tuition alone is 72 000 so maybe it costs a lot for you um to hire these tenured these tenured professors because they are coming off campaigns and they're leveraging their dc politics and ties to to to rake in a significant amount of money that's what I'm gonna guess that's yeah you come here you network you make contacts in dc and it'll pay off in the long run which by the wait time is exactly what the problem in the swamp is they don't even have a good basketball team I mean honestly it's like they're awful they're the navy trounced them this year I mean if you're if you're gonna go somewhere and you know actually and you don't have to pay anything to go to navy it's uh this is this is embarrassing uh but they're gonna make the money I have a hunch I have a I have a I have a theory on this okay on on how this is happening uh about 15 percent of the student body at george washington are international students foreign-born ah okay and so it's all the it's all the the wealthy you know oligarchs and yes middle east oil families and diplomats and and foreign they get their little boy or girl into george washington they don't care what the price tag is yeah they'll pay top dollar yeah and I think that's what's right it's like they know they can make so much money off of those foreign students that they go ahead and bring up the price further and further and further uh but all the democrats who are so into affordability they're the ones who also say oh you gotta go to a great school you got and I agree you do have to go to a great school that's why you should go to GW good god so somebody mentioned here I 100,000 a year for timu Georgetown is crazy oh and by the way Georgetown it costs less I'm looking at Georgetown's number 94,000 American costs less you listen you want to go to a northwest DC college and uh and you want to pick from those three from Georgetown American and GW at dollar for dollar you're better off at the first two not the latter and uh and you're going to be better off in terms of the cost involved more specifically I think I have a better idea get a good trade learn how to be a plumber or eight and then you make 92,000 within the next first few years you'll be taking care of the houses of all of those people who are half a million in debt because they went to GW 824 now on 105.9 FM and streaming worldwide on the WMAL app O'Connor and company Don Lemon says if he were president he would solve the nation's problems lickety split on and that is something he would say on a related note in his delusional Chris Plant will be joining us in 30 minutes to take over for the Chris Wancho and I have a hunch he might have an opinion on Don Lemon and lickety split that's coming out in 30 minutes Chas Bono might make an appearance maybe even Christian Homes' husband we shall see that's all coming up joining us right now she's the Daily Colors White House course that's Patrice on WMAL here's Reaganry she is the White House course she's the pride of Hillsdale College by and she is the White House correspondent for Daily Colors you know I'm watching this footage right now Reagan if you were a Brit God forbid because your teeth would be awful but if you were a Brit and you were a correspondent for 10 Downing Street you know what the big story is over there I don't know if you've seen this but there's a cat who lives outside 10 Downing Street and it was caught on video during a press conference of the Prime Minister Kirsten Sturmer that the cat caught and devoured a mouse right in front of the media and everyone and by the way the cat's name is Larry because we Larry's we get the job done Reagan wow uh I am so thankful that's not the biggest news story uh right now and that is not what my life looks like as a reporter maybe that would have been the biggest news story if something like that happened under President Biden I feel like that's pretty likely that would have been it would have been meanwhile President Trump keeps you on your toes with some real news uh where to begin uh you had an exclusive here with regard to President Trump's executive order yesterday on mail-in voting and I thought to myself well he can't really do this we executive order and then I realized the postal service uh under the Department of Commerce actually if you're using the post the federal postal service for mail-in ballots there is some jurisdiction over there so explain to me what this executive order does yeah so like you said this is cracking down on mail-in ballots so uh this executive order it tells the Secretary of Homeland Security to create a list for each state of verified U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote in each state who are um you know can also vote by mail and are approved to vote via apps and t-ballots um and then it will require that states get that list at least 60 days between each federal election um they are going to put every now mail-in ballot uh in a special envelope that is also going to have a barcode that is going to be trackable um it's kind of wild that that wasn't kind of the standard before and then if states do not comply with this if they send apps and t-ballots to anyone who is not on that approved list uh the Attorney General under this executive order is told to prioritize those cases and to potentially pull funding from states. Well Brighan I hope that's going to be enough to nudge those states along because I can imagine all the recalcitrant states like California and Maryland and New York and Illinois who will not but shifting gears just a little bit yesterday you had a really interesting question asked during the the press conference featuring Secretary Hegseth and General Cain and you were asking about the troops that being deployed there and their use can you talk about um you know the answer that you received from uh General Cain about you know what U.S. soldiers are doing uh being deployed in the in Iran right now? Yeah well there's been a lot of media reports that a ground invasion essentially is imminent that we're deploying thousands and thousands of troops over there and it seems like we're going in on a ground invasion and so what I wanted to ask was uh you know what are the other uses of the soldiers of these Marines that we've sent over to the Middle East is it really just purely for a ground invasion and General Cain told me that there is a variety of uses for these troops that they're using them in all different ways um and he said that Iran should know that they're there and that they're a pressure point and then he said it's you know not my point not my position as the chairman to kind of be involved in diplomatic efforts but I would suggest that they look at the deals that are on the table and strongly consider those which is uh it gives you kind of chills coming from General Cain. Yeah Reagan Reese is our guest she's the White House correspondent for the mighty daily caller and have you gotten any advance on tonight's prime time address yet have they given you any sort of bullet points or understanding about what the address might involve? Uh no unfortunately not um you know yesterday I was on pool and the president went to the Kennedy Center and he saw the Chicago premiere and that'd be the Trump Kennedy Center. The Trump Kennedy Center thank you. Sorry, I just want to start a style point. And we had to sit in a room to press for a couple of hours and we were all sitting there and you know we think that it's going to be you know just putting our big reporter brains together. We think it's going to be a general update on the war. The president did say yesterday that it's going to be another two to three weeks potentially in Iran and so that would be longer than that estimated four to six weeks that they told us and so um you know my guess is that it's going to be kind of a you know here's where we're at and an address to the nation to kind of uh you know ease some concerns. Okay. You know Reagan and on a lighter note and I think something that's positive as a resident of DC or at least somebody who's out and about in DC you're probably I think we're all probably pleased to see that DC is getting cleaned up um you know President Trump had that task force uh to make DC beautiful again uh but you have a scoop that you released on X do you want to talk about about that task force? Yeah so it's been a year since President Trump created his task force to clean up DC and they have cleaned up every homeless encampment in the city that is under the National Park Service. They cleaned out 142 of them and actually yesterday in the Oval Office President Trump said that they removed 4,000 people. They've also made 11,000 arrests 62 were of known gang members and just all these various offenses. It is really a remarkable story to see just how they have transformed this city. We can just do things. It's amazing uh Reagan risked real real fast. I know that Hillsdale was not in the NCAA tournament sadly this year so I'm just curious uh were you smart enough to latch on to Michigan for your bracket there? Yes. I know you are here all the way with the Wolverines. Yes I put Michigan versus Michigan State but um my bracket has been telling me my odds to win are zero but I think I did pretty well. You did? I love it. Are you from Michigan originally or you just adopted it after Hillsdale? I'm from upstate New York but I just fell in love with Michigan and then west and so sometimes I pretend I'm from there. That's so funny my brother was such a homer he did Michigan Michigan State and we all laughed at him. Um guess what my guess what guess what my final championship game is? I don't know. Michigan, Yukon. Oh I'm still in it baby. I'm still in it. All right Reagan have a great time uh it continued great time doing your job. I can tell in the way you go about your business and do your reporting that you're really having the time of your life and I love watching it. Thanks Reagan. Thanks for you. It's 844. Next roll with Vernon Davis. I'm your host Vernon Davis. Okay y'all thank you thank you that's enough. Today we have Dietrich Wise. Through my example on the field off the field during game day in practice that was one way that I led because then it led to success. Next roll isn't about what's next it's about why they do it. My man Bobby Bones. Like I've had a lot of stuff happen bad and good and so I don't have any fear of mixing it up. That's powerful man. Next roll with Vernon Davis follow and listen on your favorite platform. Yeah as we mentioned Larry the cat Larry the cat is uh lives right outside 10 Downing Street there at 10 Downing Street and uh since there's not a whole lot going on with that Prime Minister because he refuses to do anything to help us out uh we have the play by play from the uh what their version of a White House correspondent there on Larry the cat's mousing abilities take a listen. There's a rather uh a grim end for a mouse. Larry the cat went hunting in the building just behind the camera which is the foreign office. Um you may be seeing uh Fudge on screen off him going hunting nails him sliding the gate of the of the of the foreign office there shortly. Um and then he uh yeah he went away and came back uh they came back with with minutes with the actual mouse uh in his uh claw in his mouth. He pulled it across the road here and consumed it next door to the next door to the the doors of Downing Street in long grass. We couldn't actually see the gruesome end for the mouse but perhaps that's the most interesting the interesting thing that happened today in Downing Street. That's the most interesting thing that happened. I love British commentators even the newscast a grim end. Yes. I mean you're great at this. Absolutely we need we need a White House cat uh to get but although honestly the way the rats are in DC that cat doesn't stand a chance. 8 52 Vince Colonies is redefining news talk with the Vince show.
