Summary

BravBros hosts Steel Russell and Shuda Magooda recap the second episode of Real Housewives of Rhode Island, analyzing relationship dynamics, infidelity rumors, and cast conflicts. The episode features a game revealing multiple affairs and open relationships among the housewives, with particular tension between Rula and Joellen over the exposure of Rula's husband's mistress.

Insights
  • Reality TV franchises thrive when cast members can deliver criticism and accept pushback without excessive sensitivity, a quality notably present in RHORI but absent in many other Bravo shows
  • New housewife franchises benefit from cast members who understand the medium and come prepared with substantive storylines rather than manufactured drama
  • The ability to address rumors directly and move forward quickly (as demonstrated in the game scene) prevents storylines from festering and creates more authentic conflict resolution
  • Tracking and surveillance tactics used by spouses in response to infidelity rumors can escalate beyond the show's narrative into legal consequences and HR complaints
  • Kelsey's inability to control her narrative and tendency to over-explain her polyamorous relationship creates vulnerability and invites more scrutiny rather than less
Trends
Reality TV shows increasingly feature multiple simultaneous relationship complications (affairs, open relationships, emotional infidelity) rather than single-issue storylinesCast members with established careers and financial independence (financial planner, podiatrist, business owners) handle conflict differently than those dependent on show incomeSocial media evidence (Instagram posts, pictures) now serves as primary catalyst for on-show conflict rather than hearsay or producer manipulationHousewife franchises are returning to grounded, family-oriented scenes (multi-generational gatherings, parenting discussions) as counterbalance to scandal-heavy narrativesNew franchises benefit from learning from previous seasons' mistakes regarding husband involvement and brand protection over authenticityPolyamorous and open relationship dynamics are becoming normalized discussion topics on mainstream reality TV rather than taboo subjectsBravo shows are moving away from 'dark television' toward more traditional housewife format with cheating scandals and mistresses as core conflict drivers

I know it's early and I'm not going to do the thing that we do and then, you know, curse these shows. All I'm going to say is this is what a housewife show is supposed to be. Cheating spouses? Sure. Mistresses? Absolutely. Why not? Line them up. Look, I think we're so far down the rabbit hole of terrible things going on in housewife shows and Bravo shows across the board that it's almost like refreshing that we've got cheating scandals and we've got mistresses and we've got open relationships. And yeah, sure. Why not? Let's just do that. That's fine by me. We reached a point where I was like, oh, it's just an affair. Come on. Come on. Kyle's play. As airs are driving a deep left field by Castellanos, it will be open by 12. Oh man, it's 8 o'clock. And so that'll make it a f***ing... I don't need the spotlight. I shine just fine. Hi, I'm Karma. And yes, I am a bitch. Bravo Bros. Good evening, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Bravo Bros, your favorite podcast from the Bros. For everybody for whoever wants to listen, I'm your co-host, Steel Russell, joined as always by the one and only, Shuda Magooda. What's up, dude? Back to Jersey, we go, everybody. Let's go. Gonna be a great time. I saw somebody online say, I think I finally have like at least four of the housewives' names down. I had no issue with this. I have no issue with remembering who's who. I was kind of bewildered by that statement. I'm like, really? Like maybe it's... That's a skill issue, I think, at the end of the day. Like you're just not watching close enough. It's not like... Like this is such a good... So far, it's such a good show. I'm really trying not to f*** it up. It's such a good show so far that I feel like I'm invested. I'm interested that even if I wasn't podcasting it, I would still be able to pick up on it pretty quickly. I don't really see what the issue is. Not at all either. And I think they're all so... I mean, sure they had their similarities, but I also think they're all so different that it's been easy for me to pick up on. And I'm awful with names. So the fact that I... Yeah. I hate to make you feel bad out there if you're listening. If I can remember the names and you can't, that's a problem because I forget shit instantly. So take that for an answer. But yeah, this show hit the ground running in the best way possible. And it's almost... I don't know if they all did their homework or if this is just who these women are, but they have the house waifery down. Like all of it. They have the shit talking. I think what I love about this show and it gives me that... That OG Jersey feeling is that we have a lot of housewives that can dish it, but they can also take it. And we have been missing that across the board on these shows. We've seen way too many overly sensitive people on all of Bravo. Not just the housewife show. It's like you can't have good digs anymore because people get so pissed off. Not in Rhode Island. They dish it. No. They can take it and they move on. Oh. That's the... I think that's the whole thing. They're not so sensitive, at least not yet. No one has shown that they are overly sensitive. I mean, Kelsey, she just has to figure it out. She has to stop bringing up the rumors. You came onto the show, fully knowing what the optics were going to be like about your relationship. You have to get over it. And look, I think I've never been in her position. I don't think I ever will be in that position. She's handling it okay, but she's acting like this wasn't ever going to be an issue. So aside from Kelsey, who I think is still handling it okay, it doesn't seem like anybody else has thin skin, which, you know what? Perfect. Let's do it that way. Agreed. And I think that she's handling it fine. Yeah. But she's also the one that constantly brings up the fact. I get it. There's a lot of questions about my relationship. It's like, Kelsey, we're talking about basketball. Like what the hell are you talking about? Like she just brings it up no matter what's going on. She's like, look, stop asking the questions. It's like, nobody was talking to you. Or it's like the heat is finally off of you. We just got introduced to a new housewife who has a husband who has a mistress. And Joe Ellen is in the thick of all of this. This is your easy out. I mean, if nothing else, you can maybe be friends, this woman and try to move forward with all of that. And still you're like, well, yeah, I mean, Rula might be going through something, but I mean, you guys are talking about so many things with me. I mean, let's just go through it. I've got my dossier right here. Let's go through. I've got pinpoints of every little detail that you guys are talking about, about me and my boyfriend who has another girlfriend. You guys are really wondering if I have a boyfriend. We could talk about all of that right now. No, I don't think you want to talk about it. Or maybe she's trying to work her way through it and make it make sense to her. I don't know what she's doing, but it's still highly entertaining. I'll give her that. No, it is. I think she is personally trying to understand where she's at in life and not controlling her inner monologue. It's just coming out. She's like, I don't know what I'm doing, so I'm going to keep projecting it until I figure it out. She's nervous talking her way through it. It's just giving us more and more details that we didn't even ask for, actually. I know. I'm actually focused on the first question and you're so far down that we don't even know where you are anymore, but we're going to circle back. We're going to figure out how this all ties in. Yep. Damn right. Well, let's jump in and we start out with Liz, who I love. I love Liz. She is fantastic TV. So very glad she's on our screen, but we're with Liz and, you know, we get more about her and Jerry. They've been married for 11 years. She gets along really well with her in-laws. Her stepdaughter's pregnant and they're meeting the boyfriend. I think they met the boyfriend, but they're meeting the boyfriend's parents. They're getting everybody together so they can all love that. It was a great scene. It was such a good Jersey scene, dude. I'm sorry, but like I can't stop thinking about it. We don't see this type of shit when we go to OC, when we go to Beverly Hills, anywhere else. Like it's just, it has a sense of normalcy with chaos in the middle of it. Like when she's walking up and she's talking about her stepdaughter, I'm like, oh, maybe it's a team pregnancy. Maybe that's what they're really worried about. Is it just the short amount of time that they were dating? I think she was 26. 26 years old. She's 26 years old. Yeah. And then I immediately felt so much ease because we're talking about it. No one's really upset. It's just like, yeah, you know, it's not exactly what we would have wanted, but she's an adult. She's going to figure out her life and we're going to be here for her every step of the way. I'm like, that's really nice. These might be real parents. That's cool. The boyfriend's parents are coming over. Hell yeah. This is too normal. This is way too normal. And it's again, still has that kernel of chaos in the middle that it could have rubbed, but it just doesn't seem like it's going to. And at the same time, it's like, we need all of these things kind of working together where it's like, yeah, this is a normal situation, but there is something here that could blow up. And it might not, but I still like that it's still there. It's still a possibility. Yeah. There's an agent of chaos in the corner that might jump in. Yeah. It doesn't have to happen, you know, but you get that feeling of like, it's something on edge. Yeah, exactly. And like, you know, it's really nice to see a scene like this where you got Jerry who's like, hey, you got a beautiful son. It's a beautiful kid. I really like this guy. So like it's this nice. Yeah, this it's Jersey is shit. It's Jersey code. Like I've been in this kitchen before with friends and like heard these parents talking. You've been there with me like this is maybe that's why we gravitate so much towards stuff like this because it feels like we're at home. Yeah. We used to say that too. Like when we first started covering Jersey before it was a complete clusterfuck, we used to say it felt like home. You just hear that accent. You're like, all right, cool. We're in for it now. We we're going to understand where everybody's coming from, even if it's going to be something I would never do. Yeah. I feel like I'm at Flannery's house on Saturday morning after waking up hungover and his mom's making this breakfast. Yeah, pretty much. But let's keep trucking. We get to Joe Ellen and Ashley. The Ashley comments have been very fun to read because so many people remember her from Bachelor in Paradise. So that's been a lot of fun to see people checking in on that one. But they're getting the kids together. And, you know, the focus of this scene is pretty much the fact that Audrey's is taking up a lot of time. And Jeremy, Jeremy or Jeffrey? Oh, God, a one name. I think it's Jeffrey. Okay, that's going to bother me though. Yeah, go for it. Old J dog is he's having a tough time because he is working a lot. They're not seeing the success from the business that he had hoped. So he's coming home and he's a little down and she's trying to help. And he's like, look, it's not you. It's the business. And she's like, well, I want him to be happy pretty much her and her husband are in a weird spot because of this business. She just wants him to be happy and enjoy life. Jared. Oh, we weren't even close. Jared, Swimmy, Swammy, Swamsonite. We didn't watch like I was going to ask you if you, because you used to watch Bachelor of Paradise at Karen. So maybe I did. Maybe maybe you got some contacts over there where they're still watching it. I wonder what season what season were they on? Would it be funny if I watched them without knowing Bachelor of Paradise? When was I in rehab? 2018. That's going to make some people uncomfortable. Yeah, guys, I'm good now. We're laughing. We're having a good time. 2018 cast. Yeah, it's all good. Let's see. No, that seems like way too long ago. Yeah, no, no, no, no. It wasn't. They weren't there. Oh man. That's got to be like 2022. Oh, grocery store Joe was on that one. That's right. That was a good season. And you end the bartender Wells. Oh my goodness. Oh, memories guys. Memories of. They were on season two back in 2015. Oh, it was way back. Okay. Yeah, they developed a tumultuous will they won't they friendship? Wow. Maybe we should have won that. Yeah. It's going to get me going. We got to watch the season finale, which we weren't supposed to because that was two hours of TV and we were only allowed to have one hour TV, but we. Addix and alcoholics are very convincing. So we convinced our CA to let us watch. It's better than what I was going to say. See guys, rehab is not bad. They let you do whatever you want. That's fine. You should everyone should go. Anyway, back to business here. Ashley's overwhelmed. Right. And it's leaking into their, their family life a little bit. I will say this sounded like a very, very real conversation. It sounds like a very normal issue to be having at home. Then it sounds like she just wants what's best for, for her man. So I, I thought this was a good insight into their relationship. It seemed pretty mature actually the way that they were handling it. Yeah, it definitely does. I had that weird inkling that it's going to be something that is going to be a sticking point for the whole season. Like we're still talking about Jared and how he's working and how he's stressed out about the whole thing. But I thought this was a good way to go about it honestly because you get to see Ashley's just trying to be supportive as much as possible, but it's still going to eat away at her because he can't do the certain things that they want to do as a couple because he's working too hard, but he's just trying to set them up, but it doesn't seem like he's being an asshole about it. He's not being a dick about it. He's not just saying, of course I have to go work. Like you have to take care of the baby. This is all we have to do things like that along the way that we're not really seeing. So that's good. That's really what I want to see when it comes to figuring out and it's a housewife show. I mean, we have to understand the relationships that they're in, the marriages that they're in, especially with all of the rumors that are floating around that we're going to talk about this episode. I need to know that there's some good concrete relationships in this cast or else it's just going to be pure chaos. Yes, agreed. And this seems to be one and even the clips that we get from, you know, later in the season of their conversations, he seems like he's receptive and open to these conversations. So, so far, nothing bad to say. Will that change? Probably. But for now, we're good. Yeah. Time will tell. Now, Liz and Kelsey get together and we get introduced to Rula. Now, Rula is friends with Liz. Kelsey is friends with Rula through Liz and they're recapping the fourth of July thing. Now, there's a big issue between Rula and Joe Ellen. Why do you ask? Well, first of all, the homeboy is fucking having an affair on Rula. Right? And his mistress is posting pictures of them. So, Joe Ellen sees the picture. Joe Ellen takes the picture. Joe Ellen sends the picture. Confirmation that your man's cheating on you. Somehow this turned into Joe Ellen's trying to ruin my marriage. Is what Rula's stance is. So, I mean, the phrase that comes to mind would be, don't shoot the messenger. Correct. Did I make that up? Yeah. Yeah. I don't think I made that up. That guy, Socrates said that one. Yeah. Socrates. Yeah. Back in the day. It was a weird shit back in the day. That's Socrates. But yeah, don't shoot the messenger comes to mind. And Rula seems to be shooting the messenger. It's kind of weird. I think she has it backwards. I think she has it backwards. I'm going to hold out my judgment until we get the whole scope, the whole picture of everything. Is that Joe Ellen? You know her. She's just digging in people's shit constantly. This totally didn't just come up, you know, a friend texting it to her or come up on a, on an Instagram site because it happened. I guess we're filming in. 2024. It happened. Yeah. It was December 2024. It's the 4th of July 2025. They probably announced. And there is an article because I did look it up about Rula who at the time may or may not have been on this show that everybody knew about and Joe Ellen was already confirmed. So yes, it is feasible that maybe Joe Ellen came across this because other people were saying, Hey, this woman's going to be on Real Housewives of Rhode Island. Hey, look at her husband. He's got a mistress. I'm just, look, it took me a while. I stayed up all night trying to figure this out. I looked like Charlie day in front of the whiteboard with all the little strings going in different directions. I think it makes sense that Joe Ellen didn't actually have to dig too much for this. This is not something that she was trying to blow up a marriage, but again, look, I may have the original thought might be shoot the messenger. And if that is true, I'm on Rula side. Yeah. You know, the time will tell with that one too. I think the big thing here is that she's claiming Joe Ellen took the picture and then sent it to a bunch of other people. Again, like, is that shitty? Not her fault. No, you know, like it's not really because if you have an Instagram, you could see it and clearly it's not like a private profile. So this was fair game and I do agree with you. This is a don't shoot the messenger moment. But the other part of it is as we found out in only two short episodes, they all talk about everyone. Shit. That's like the root of this show is apparently rumors, right? And echoes. And the other part actually, Liz says that a lot because echoes or something. So if this is constantly happening, Rula, you're doing it too. In your brief time on this show, you're talking about certain things. You go to your confessional and you will lead to Liz having an affair in this episode, in this scene. So you can't then get on this high horse of like, well, Joe Ellen's trying to take us down and blah, blah, blah. And this is this show is so great because we don't get the protection of images, right? That's the biggest downfall that we've seen across the board on these housewife shows is they now have brands, they have businesses, which is great. But then in turn, they're trying to protect those so they don't say what they should say. They stop pushing a narrative further, not here because Liz is like, well, you know, so it's done. I don't question Mark. And she's like, yeah, it's done. And she's like, come on. He's not involved anymore. Rula says, she goes, babe, babe, he's there. Okay. She just fucking flat out says like, he's still with this chick and you're blind. You're willingly denying this, Rula. Wake up, lady. It's going to turn into obviously, I hope it comes back to Kelsey is all I'm going to say, because that would be really funny to me is it comes back to Kelsey and Kelsey has this aha moment where she realizes that multiple people on the cast have open relationships that don't seem open to the rest of the public. And then she gets to look at everybody and call them all hypocrites. That would be very funny to me. Every time so far. I know I have no faith that she's going to do that, but it is eventually going to smack her in the face. I thought that this was a good moment to smack her in the face. But if she needs more evidence, she'll get it because it's leading down that path of, wait a minute. I'm not the only one in an open relationship here. I'm just the only one who's brave enough to talk about it. Now it did take her seven episodes to fully talk about it, but she did talk about it. So look, we might be in a better spot. And then we might have a kumbaya moment where everybody kind of realizes, hey, we're not so dissimilar. Let's all have a good time and then everything can blow up again. That's my hope for all of this playing out. But it is funny because we just met her like it is. We missed her in the first episode. Rula shows up. We know that she's at odds with other people. Let's see how this plays. Oh, oh, fuck. Oh, her husband has a mistress. This is, this is good. This is going to be fun. I'm enjoying this. This is not dark television anymore. We may have labeled it as dark television five years ago when we started, not anymore. Nope. Now it's fair game. And the funniest part is Rula's like, Oh yeah, but you've, you've had your stuff with Jerry and kick him to the curb. I'm like, Oh, counter. What kind of stuff with Jerry? Yeah. Let's dig into that a little bit. And then she goes to a confessional. She's like, look, cousin Jerry, they've done their thing too. Liz has done her thing. That's all I'm going to say. You know, and then you get another interesting layer because now you have Rula who's getting defensive because she, she understands, right? Like in her heart of heart, she knows that this chick is still there. So she's now getting defensive. She's like, well, when kids are involved and like Jerry has kids, you don't have your own like, Oh, yeah, that was a fun. Oh, I didn't mean it. That was crazy too, because we had that whole scene about how Liz loves Jerry's kids. She loves her stepdaughter raised them since they were three. She had such a good moment too. And it was a such a good feel, good moment for like step parents everywhere where it's like, look, you know, it just, it wasn't in the cards. We met later in life. We, I always wanted to have kids. Lo and behold, I married a guy who's got beautiful kids who are basically my own and I've raised them since they were three years old. It's like, that's a really good moment. That's not going to get thrown in your face at about seven seconds. Is it? Oh, it got thrown right into your face. Weird comment from Rula. Still kind of interesting though. Still kind of entertaining. I want to see how Liz pops off. Well, she's great because she, this is what we need. We need somebody like, this is a great example, right? That could have blown up. Boom. Seen over, go fuck yourself. I'm out of here. No, she sits in it. She's like, she counters. She's like, Oh, just cause I didn't produce them because you don't produce them. That's the problem. And she's like, I didn't mean anything by it. She's like, I think you did. I think you did. And you know, she's like, no offense meant some taken. We're going to keep talking, but some taken anyway. And we move forward and it's so fucking good. Like that's what we need. I need a zinger. I need a counter and I need to move on and that we got all of that in one moment. It was perfect. Yeah, it was beautiful. It was very well done. It made me like Liz so much. Of course you got Kelsey who then out of left feels like I can sympathize. There's a lot of rumors about me. It's like, wait, we're not talking about that. No one's talking about you right now. You don't know why the way it's not the same. I mean, by the way, we're not even at the point where there's rumors for Kelsey. It's just, we're just trying to confirm what we already know for the rest of the group. That's all they want to know. You might be able to live a little bit longer, have a couple of extra weeks here where we're not talking about all of the things leading into what else you might be doing. If you just say like, yeah, I don't know. I've been with him for 10 years. Say anything. He's got a girlfriend I knew. Like, you could just confirm what we already know and you'd be in a much better place. And instead she's like, yeah, there's so many rumors about me. Some of them are true. Some might be true. I don't know. Maybe a little tidbit. We're not even there. Like do yourself some service here. It's just funny because the situations also are not the same at all. Like you're dating a guy with clear rules and boundaries of your, your whole thing. They're talking about getting cheated on by their husbands. This is a totally different scenario. So for her to then like dip a toe in like, I get it. I got something to talk about. Damn it, Kelsey. You're burning yourself, dude. And then we go to the next reality TV. I got to talk. You got it. It's the whole scene. We're at it. I got something to say. No, it's almost as if. Yeah. We'll get to you. It's almost as important on reality TV to know when to not talk, when to not offer information and she'll get there. Hopefully, or maybe not. And that would be great too. Because I love these scenes because then we cut immediately to the next scene and it's Kelsey solo in the house. And again, six months out of the year, my boyfriend's in Miami. I'm like, we know, dude, we fucking know. And then Alicia comes over. Alicia is just delightful. Yeah. I'm like, highways. Yeah. I got some accidents. I ran over a woman been there, done that. And they're like, whoa, whoa. You read? Yeah. Yeah, I did. I ran over a woman. I need to know more about that. Why is that not a rumor? What do you mean? Did you run over on the highway? Yeah. Was it dark out where they hitchhiking? Is this like a Jim Beihime situation? Like what we got to figure out what's going on? I know. Is this, I know what you did last summer. Did you dump the body? What's happening with the lady you ran over? But they're talking about the fourth of July party and the situation at the picnic. And Alicia apologizes like, look, I shouldn't have said what I said. And again, great moment here. She's like, look, I appreciate you saying that this could have been totally blown out of proportion and turned into something really stupid that could have dragged on for episode after episode. It is not squelched right there. We love to see that. And they start talking about the ruler rumors, right? Bringing in the Joellen factor. So it's just setting the stage for us later that Joellen and Rula are probably going to be at each other's throats for the entire season. And then it begs the question because Kelsey says it Joellen's just adding gas to this mistress fire. So that's where you can actually see like, okay, it's one thing to be like, Hey, I saw this on Instagram. Here you go. And send it to her. It's another thing to then perpetuate the rumor and continue to talk about it in circles unless something has happened between the two of you that might make you a little vindictive. Yeah. It's funny too, because it's the second episode of a new series. We just met all these women and we've heard not only from Joellen herself, but other people that she is involved in other people's rumors, that she is perpetuating those rumors. So as much as I want to say, let's see how this plays out and we'll see how, what level of involvement Joellen has. We kind of already know. And when you phrase it in that direction, yeah, no, I understand now why Rool is pretty upset with Joellen. Yeah, I do too. And I think it's going to be more and more obvious the more that we watch it because I think that this is going to be both of them. Like she fucked her over, she fucked her over back, back and forth we go and you go back to the start. And if the start really was this Instagram picture, that's the funny part is when all is said and done, the dust settles. Rool, you might have cast the first stone. I'm holding out judgment. There might be more to this story, but we'll find out. There always is. Let's get to know Rool a little bit better. She would never live or Joellen Cranston. Are you kidding me? She lives in Lincoln. All right. Big difference. She's not a Cranston person. We looked at the map last week. We understand. Yeah, they're like 10 minutes from each other. They're very different. If you have a dingy boat, you can probably get there in five. It depends if you drop your hat in the water or not. Yeah, good point. But she is a she runs a financial planning firm. She got a reputation as a boss bitch, her words. And she's got two kids, Luca and Layla, and she's married to Brian. They've been together for like 11 or 12 years. They've been married for nine. Was he wearing Adidas crocs? Yes, he was. They were right. Sure did see those. Yes, they were Adidas crocs. Yes, I've never seen Adidas crocs. Look, I mean, leave it to an Italian. They're going to find that he's going to. Yeah, you make I like these, but do you make him in Adidas? Yeah. Yeah. Now look, I mean, they don't go full Adidas jumpsuit as much anymore, but they're going to have the Adidas pants with the matching Adidas crocs, especially when they're out by the pool. Yeah, there's there's going to be some some hints here and there. That's the new track suit is Adidas crocs. Everybody knows it. Yeah. Now, Brian arrives and they're talking. He's a podiatrist. He does foot and ankle surgery. She's in the tall dark and handsome. He is light and short, but handsome. So one of the three well done there, but we get to the rumors, right? And of course, he's taking the stance of we'll come to the source. By the way, you have my location. You track me all the time. You know exactly where I am. And what happened last year was last year, right? We just want him. He's speaking from the general we, which is so funny. Like you're the one that well, and I was tracking. I'm forward. The tracking comment was very interesting because there is another article where afterwards, and this is in October of 2025. So we might actually see this kind of play out or at least lead to it. But he got in trouble because Rula went to the police and said that he was tracking her illegally. And he even went as far as to put listening devices in her car on top of the tracking devices, but he did it under the guys. And this is such a very funny 2026 moment. He did it under the guys of this is going to improve your Wi-Fi. In the car. So I'm going to put all these things in here. And it was actually just cameras and listening devices in her car. And then when she went to the cops, he pleaded in the hopes that she wouldn't do anything. I don't really want to do anything. I just wanted to see what was going on. I'm sorry. That's where that all played out. And that's October 2025. So we might get a little bit of that towards the end of the season, but it's something to know moving forward. That's wild. Uh-huh. I mean, this guy, I got shitting. They got Wi-Fi in cars now. I know. That's pretty. Yeah. That's the only thing I'm focused on. Holy shit. Technology. No, I mean, I got shitty vibes from this guy out of the gate that. That's interesting that he went that far, but watching him again, speak from the general we of, we're fine. They're just jealous of us, babe. It's like, yeah, you keep speaking for your wife. They can't have. That never holds out too. And that's always the stance that those guys take. I know. We've seen this exact conversation on other shows. And it's the same exact vernacular every single time. Every time. But let's go to the party bus. Take a little party bus to a wine vineyard. Not a different kind of vineyard, according to Joe Ellen, who's a wine snob. And yet calls it a wine vineyard. Mm-hmm. I'm going to go out on a limb here. Okay. Not trying to be rude. But just because you buy the expensive bottle doesn't mean you know about wine. Yeah. Everything comes back to that bottle of wine that Rosie bought her for six bucks. That's, it's a tough look. It's going to be a tough look. Uh, you know, get off. Like I do think that Joe Ellen has so much going for her in terms of being a really good housewife. We don't need this added fake component. We don't, we don't need that. And just leave that one alone. No one's going to dig into it. No, I think that, I think that's, you know, just rookie jitters a little bit. Like, you know, trying to set yourself up in your image, but I think that'll fizz a lot once the. Ready to launch your business? Get started with the commerce platform made for entrepreneurs. But we get to the vineyard and Kelsey pulls Joel inside and she's like, hey, heads up. And we get to the vineyard and Kelsey pulls Joel inside and she's like, hey, heads up. The rule is coming. She's like, well, why the fuck is she coming here? It's like, well, Liz and I met with her. We sat down and you know, whatever. But this is where we get the rundown of what's happened between the two of them. Now, Joellen Stance is, I found this picture. I shared it with her and now she's, as you've said, shooting the messenger. She's pissed off at me and trying to blame me for her husband stepping out on her. Do I think that the thing that's going on is that she's not going to be able to get out on her own? Do I think that that's a component of it? Absolutely. I do think that she's pissed off at her situation and she's taking it out on the person that gave it to her for sure. But I'm also pretty convinced that Joellen's probably pushing this a lot more. She probably found this little nugget of information. She's like, ha ha, gotcha. What we didn't know. And we find this out later, but we'll just pack it all in here. And then the ruler found out that Jo had the picture and was apparently spreading it around her and her husband, Brian. And this makes a lot more sense now that you said that he was tracking her in the car and shit. Yeah. Called her work, called HR to complain and try to get her fired. Now, I am firmly in the camp of Joellen in you don't fuck with livelihoods. You don't fuck with jobs and careers because that has ramifications on the children. I don't give a fuck about Jerry or Brian, but I do give a fuck about the kids. So let's not do that. And that also has given you a glimpse, I think, into the psyche of Rula a little bit. And I'm not sure if this is a Brian idea or a Rula idea, but to go to those lengths for the show that's great. Yeah. No, for the show, it's great. It does smell like a Brian idea. And at the end of the day, if it wasn't Joellen, it's going to be somebody else. And maybe it's not somebody on the cast, but this shit's going to blow up, dude. I mean, just like new housewives. I do think that sometimes it plays really well for the show, which is what it's doing right now. Other times it's more begging the question, what the fuck did you think was going to happen? You're going to be in the public eye, whether you like it or not. This shit's going to come to light. You better assume and hope that your life is squeaky clean because people will find it. People get bored. If the show's good, they want to know more about you. Somebody's going to stumble upon that picture and then all of a sudden this whole thing's going to blow up. It might not happen in season one, but it's definitely going to happen in season two. That's always the funny thing to me. They blame the shit out of Joellen. And yes, did she send it to more people? Probably. Was she reposting it? Maybe not that far. It shouldn't go as far as the calling her HR to try to get her fired because you're upset with her about your own shitty life. That just shouldn't happen. And it's going to come out regardless. So it doesn't really matter. And I hope that Joellen takes that defense. I hope that somebody has the foresight to be like, look, we're on a show where on the public eye break the fourth wall for this. I don't care. This shit's going to come out. Somebody's going to find it and we're going to have to talk about it eventually. Wouldn't you rather talk about it with me because I found it than somebody else finding it and it being a huge storyline for the next season. I don't know. I'm just spitballing here. Yeah. I was throwing shit against the wall and see what's coming up, but they get a FaceTime from Rula who's in full glam and a hat. I don't know why the hat was pertinent, but that was mentioned as well. And she can make it. She was in urgent care for two hours. She didn't say why, but she was allegedly in urgent care for a couple of hours. She's not going to make it. As Joellen says, she stretched out, stretched out, stressed out for taking too much ozempic. So Joellen goes and throws her little box into the bushes and we get to play a little game. We've seen games on Housewife shows. Games go well on Housewife shows. Said nobody ever. So immediately when we lead this off and it's Kelsey's idea, you guys have so many questions about me. It was one question in one scene. Kelsey, that was brought up because they're just confused about your situation. She's great. She's scrambling. She is scrambling so much and she does, does not have to. It's really funny. I don't know. She's trying to get ahead of something that isn't out there. I mean, it is, but it's also like your explanation. You know it. Right. The explanation you gave us in your first scene on this show was sufficient. We were good. I get it. I understand the setup. I get that. You know, you might be growing out of it. You're ready for something more. That all makes sense to me. And if you just said in that moment, because of that, I'm dating other people, I'd be like, totally. Okay. And you're still with the guys so you can still reap the benefits of the house while you're trying to figure it out. Yeah. Totally get it. But no, we're not going to take that route. You guys keep having all these questions. So we're all going to ask each other questions. We're all pushing rumors. So everyone's going to write down what their question is, put it in the box anonymously, and we're going to figure this shit out once and for all. So we get into it. We learned that Ashley lost her virginity at 29. We learned that Alicia never hooked up with Gary. We learned that Rosie did not have sex with that coach. I don't know which coach this is. Did you look that up? I tried to figure out who the coach was. It was basketball is what they do. Maybe it's URI. I mean, URI is not pertinent enough. They have a chili team in Rhode Island. I mean, my first thought was the Celtics coach that did get fired for having sex with the the owner's daughter. Mika, what's his name? That's going to bother me. That's who I thought it was right away, but it's not. And I guarantee you it's also not Joe Missoula. So I don't know if it's not the Celtics coach, then I don't really care too much. If it is the Celtics coach, then there is some more to read into there, but it'll probably come back. I mean, the fact that we even got that drop needs, it's going to come back. Yeah, I know that's setting us up for something I would imagine. But Joe says that she's not a swinger, despite all of these rumors going around. She has had a threesome and there are a lot of swingers in Rhode Island. But she herself and her husband are not now. I don't believe her just because of the way that she responded. Yeah. I felt like a lie. That's just my gut feeling. No, it was a gut feeling. I'm going off the same gut feeling as you are. It's like we're sharing a gut. You know, yeah, health is important and we're, yep. We're, we're gutting it. I don't know where I'm sitting together right now. Dude, hell yeah, brother. Now, Kelsey, are you dating? I'm not in a polygamist relationship. Sure. Are you dating though? But are you? Every time she opens her mouth, I'm like, tell me more. Like I do want to sit down with you and just hear it all. It seems like your brain, she just can't figure out where she is on the spectrum of like, I want to hold on to these things and I got to keep things secret. And I also want to tell you guys everything. Sometimes she leans one way. Sometimes she leans the other way. It's making for great TV and I'm really enjoying it, but I do need her to figure out where she lies. Well, the best part is they're like, not even provoked. They're like, she goes, I am dating somebody else. Okay. Okay. Let's play the semantics game real quick. I'm glad that we had the breakdown. We still have to do the confirms the workings of your relationship. Now you're telling us that you're dating somebody else. Go back to the first question. Please just address what Rosie and Joellen were talking about on the beach that you got really upset at at the fourth of July party. Then we can move on because it does seem like you want to talk about it or you're trying to get ahead of it, but you're getting ahead of something that we don't even know yet. But she kind of like, that's the funny part of what occurs is because the question at the beach was, is she dating? Yeah. Then she says, yes, I'm dating, but I'm not in a polygamist relationship. So then we have to go to Webster. Okay. It's polyamorous because you're not married. But yes, you are quite literally in a polyamorous relation. And that's fine because you've told us the parameters and we were cool with it. But now, and by the way, the two people in my life are both wonderful people and I would be lucky to be with either of them. It's like, you just said that the guy that you like, that you lived with forever is not the guy. So what do you mean? It's so weird. Why? Why bring it up in the first place? Like what's, I just need to understand how that her brain works because there's so much more there. There just has to be so much information there and she doesn't know which information is going to be best to talk about or to get ahead of. So we're just kind of getting, it's sort of like a word salad, but it's a very healthy salad because there's a lot in there that we can talk about. And I just don't know where to start and it doesn't seem like she knows where to start either. No, no, she has no idea. It's really quite great. But the question that everyone has been asking up until this point, this is what came up at the party multiple times is why was this brought up in the first place? And they point to Joe. They go, Joe, Ellen brought up. She's like, no, I didn't. I'm going to get the scene. And again, and we said this last week, like, no, you didn't say anything negative, but you did open the door. What I liked about this cast in this moment is that's exactly how it's portrayed. It's not, she was talking shit and like she's like, yeah, because people come to her defense. I think Alicia jumps in and she's like, yeah, you know, for the record, she really did just say that you're going through it a little bit and it led to some questions. Then Liz breaks it down for her. It's like, look, you know, we, we don't think you said something mean, but you have to understand that you started it off and everyone's able to kind of be like, yeah, all right. And she's like, look, if I did do that, Kelsey, I apologize. I could Jillian times and she's like, all right, cool. I'm like, fuck yes, let's just keep knocking these out. Then we get to Liz. Is the news true? Well, what news are you referring to? That you're having an affair. And then we meet Dina. Now, the way that she explains it is quite ambiguous. There's a lot of question marks there. Look, were we involved? Yes. Do I really care for the guy? Yes. Was my husband gone for four weeks on a, on a fishing boat? Yes. We didn't have sex. All right. I'm like, well, that's conflicting. I don't know what's going on. Is it just an emotional affair or was this more like, I, I'm not sure. But I do know this. We're going to see more of Dino. We're going to get more of this story. We got his face in the pictures. That's all we need. Once you see the face in the pictures, that means the release for was signed. We're going to meet Dino and I am so excited to meet Dino because he's going to be my kind of guy. I mean, Dino, come on. Who doesn't like Dino? I can't wait to meet Dino. But I'm also very curious because obviously her and Jerry, as we found out through this whole thing, we're going to be able to get to the point where we've found out through this whole thing have been through some things, right? But the way that everyone that has spoken about it has spoken about it. They're alluding to both sides of the street here that Jerry's been unfaithful and potentially Liz has also been unfaithful. And they've also figured out a way to, they seem happy together. We don't really know. It's too early to really tell. We haven't seen enough one-on-one scenes with them. But I do want to know how they got to that point. I want to know more about Dino. I need to know about Jerry. What the fuck was he up to? How'd you guys get back to this place? And is it all just the best part about this whole show? Everyone's shenanigans because they all have explanations to try to explain it away. They all have rationalizations to make it okay in their mind. Which of these are a house of cards and who are we going to see start to fall? Are we going to see people this, I don't think they know yet because they're rookies, it's new to them. But when there's smoke, there's fire and Bravo fans, not even the cast, the fans watching the show are going to unearth your shit. And I don't know if you're ready for it and I don't know what shit there is to find. And I'm very curious because there's a lot of echoes in Rhode Island. It's more, for me, it's more who's house of cards is going to fall down first because I do think it's going to be a crescendo effect after that. The next person is going to dictate how quickly everybody else falls down because if it's Liz, I think that she'll be able to handle it on her own. I think that she'll be able to just kind of take it and try to talk about pretty much everything. Kelsey, she's just dying to tell us everything. So that doesn't really count. If it's somebody like a Joe Ellen or if it's, you know, Rool is house of cards is already falling down. I mean, we met her mid house of cards falling. If it's Joe Ellen, she will take down multiple people with her. It will happen. I wanted to be Joe Ellen. And I do kind of want that, but I also look, I don't want too much too fast. I don't want to eat my food fast. That's fair. You know, I want, I want this to build into something. So if I wanted to build into something, I think I want to pick Liz because I do. Look, inevitably everybody's house is going to start falling down. If it's Liz, I think that's the best way to start. We're dipping our toe in. We're just getting involved into this. She's going to be very forthcoming. She might be too forthcoming, which is going to lead us to believe that there's more there that she's not talking about who the hell knows. But if it's Joe Ellen, this whole thing is going to blow up and it could be a beautiful disaster. I agree. I think the Joe Ellen factor could be very interesting for every reason you just said, and I agree that Liz leading it off would be the best because I don't think that we'd see a complete and utter meltdown. I think we'd see it wrapped up pretty quickly with some reasonable explanations. And I think the other aspect because that pretty much ends the episode, I will say that is unequivocally the best that one of these games has ever gone. And they did in their first season. Absolutely. We had big rumors. It was big rumors thrown out there, confirmed and acknowledged and no plates were thrown. No tables were tossed. Like they all kind of make amends at the end and they're able to continue with their day, which we don't see very often. So big kudos to them. But we also in the scenes from the season of next week, I'm leaning on the Jersey factor here. I think we're going to see a lot of husbands and I don't know how I feel about that yet. And that's because of Jersey leaving such a bad taste in my mouth. Those guys got way too involved. But there is a way to incorporate husbands into these shows and have them take on a little bit bigger of a role. And I want, like I'm talking a teeny tiny bit, but if they're able to tow that line and get those guys involved in a captivating way, you've got a full show here. You got a complete full show. And boy, does that sound enticing. It does. It honestly does. And look, it wouldn't be a Jersey show if the husbands weren't overly involved. And it's going to happen in a couple of years. I don't want it too soon, too fast, but we have to like them first. And bring the husbands into the fold, you know, halfway through this season, beginning and actually end, we'll really get involved. Just learn from your mistakes. You don't want it to be too much. So we'll have to see where that goes. But overall, I am really excited about the show. Agreed. Yeah. We don't need any Joe Gorda confessionals. You know what I'm saying? No, no, that's, that's, we don't need to get to that point. We just need to dip a toe. But I have faith. I really, really, really love this show. I think this is. This is what housewives have been missing. And I, hopefully this is a good reminder. Maybe some of the other franchises will watch an episode or two and they go, oh yeah, remember when we used to do that? Like, fuck yeah, get back to it, please. But as you guys know, if you've been listening this week, we have been playing catch up thanks to West and Amanda, you fucking assholes. So we did not put questions up. Questions will be up back. Everything's back to normal tomorrow. We will be caught up finally with Atlanta and summer house. We're recording tomorrow, which Atlanta actually surprisingly entertaining. I was actually pretty happy with it. I've heard that it's a really great season. Yeah. Danny Pellegrino and Andy talked about it last week. So I'm hoping that it's a really great season. The premiere was the premiere was solid. So it gives me some hope moving forward, but we will be back tomorrow and we will field all of your questions. So if you have some questions in the vault from weeks prior, feel free to throw them out of some will try to answer whatever weekend, but that's all I got. Anything else? Nope. Well, that's our show.
