Summary

The episode covers the Trump administration's missed deadline for releasing Epstein files, with only half of the promised documents made public. Hosts and guests discuss potential redaction failures, missing accomplices in the Epstein case, and allegations of a two-tiered justice system protecting powerful figures.

Insights
  • Government agencies appear to prioritize protecting powerful individuals over survivor privacy, as redactions failed to conceal identifying details including partial driver's licenses
  • The selective release of documents and missing three million pages suggests potential obstruction or strategic withholding of evidence implicating additional perpetrators
  • The Epstein case reveals systemic failures across multiple administrations (both parties), indicating institutional-level protection of connected elites rather than partisan conspiracy
  • Survivors and witnesses report being gaslit and discredited by official channels while evidence remains sealed or incomplete, perpetuating trauma and preventing accountability
  • Document releases appear timed as distraction tactics from other political controversies, suggesting strategic information management rather than genuine transparency

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche defended missing the congressionally set deadline for the documents. He also denied defending Trump, but there was a notable deletion today that we can't quite explain, at least not yet. A spreadsheet containing unsubstantiated allegations made against President Trump and other prominent people. It was not immediately clear why it was removed. The spreadsheet was later returned to the site. So who knows? Joining us, Deputy Managing Editor of the Free Press, Jonah Sarah and hosts of the Tara Palmieri show and author of the red letter sub-stack, Tara Palmieri. Tara, first to you. A lot in there today, and that's, I know, an understatement, but I think it is notable that they had promised to, and this is why they said it took so long, to redact identifying materials related to any of the women or the girls. But we were able, and just our initial Cursor research, to find identifying details, including a driver's license that was partially redacted, but not entirely redacted. What does that say to you? It's incredibly troubling. They have already missed the deadline, and it shows that they have very little respect for the survivors and their privacies. There's a reason why they're Jane Doe's. They do not want to disrupt their lives. By being a part of the Epstein files, they are just not only were they victims, now their lives will be disrupted because they have had enough time. They have already missed the deadline. And half of the files, we won't even see them. I mean, Todd Blanche admitted it himself. He said, we collected six million, and you're gonna get three million. So what is in the other three million? We don't know. It's really hard to search them too. Oh gosh, we just lost Tara. All right, Joe, it's you and me. Yeah, they went out of their way to make them as difficult to search as they possibly could. There's no question about that. Yeah, you called today's document dump a red herring. Explain. Look, you're not gonna, what do we really wanna find out? We wanna find out who else was involved besides Jeffrey Epstein and Gisela and Maxwell. Which men were involved sleeping with underage women? Who were his accomplices? I mean, he had a lot of them. Women who went out and found other women who were 14 or 15 years old and brought them to Epstein three times a day. Where are those people? The thing he said, well, you know, if there's evidence in the documents that would show that lead to some man, we would obviously investigate. Why aren't they investigating anyway? Why did they need those documents to show them that? The documents are a way of saying, here, here's all this stuff, good luck. Why is it so unbelievable for people to that it's just Galeen Maxwell and it's just Jeffrey Epstein and those are the only two people that DOJ could have any evidence or enough evidence to possibly charge. It's absurd, it's an absurdity. Why? Why? Because he did this for multiple years. First of all, Virginia Guffrey has written a memoir. She actually wrote one, an unpublished memoir before the published one that actually has real people's names in it. This is the photograph of Prince Andrew with Virginia which destroyed Prince Andrew's life but obviously strongly implicated that he had been with her, as she had said. There are all these wealthy people who gave Epstein millions and millions and millions of dollars for tax advice with him having really no background in that whatsoever. What was that money going for? There is so many clues that would lead you to suggest that other people were involved and we knew, know for a fact, that he did have accomplices who went out and found young underage girls for Epstein. We know that. Why would the Justice Department not want to prosecute those people? I don't know. We can even go further than that. The judge who has overseen the Maxwell case, she has put all these grand jury testimony and documents under seal. But one of the things she did say today is she's gonna try and get that unsealed. Part of the reason she did that, she says it because she wants to protect the identities of the men involved. It just blows your mind. I think we got Tara back. We reconnected with her. Tara, I'll give you this question. There's a part of me that totally agrees with Joe. It's just not believable that it could only be Galeen Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein, especially the scope and the length of time that he was doing it, the amount of money he made, the people that he had surrounding him with, the young girls, Galeen Maxwell, I don't mean a Virginia Jouffreys memoir, what other women have said. So it is hard to believe. But this also happened over multiple administrations, Democrat and Republican where nothing came of this. And so then in order to believe that there must be more there and that the Justice Department is refusing to prosecute, you do have to buy into a pretty big, a pretty grand conspiracy theory that really implicates our system of justice as a whole regardless of who's politically in charge. Yeah, and Katie, there are a number of settlements, private settlements that survivors have made with men that they have accused, often because the abuse happened after the Statue of Limitation. Galeen Maxwell said in her habeas petition that 25 men have settlements with a plaintiff. So we know that there are other men. If you believe the survivors of Jeffrey Epstein, who have testified under oath about being abused by other men, then you know that there's more to the story. But as you, the more you learn about the Epstein story, it is a conspiracy. I mean, it is a broad and vast conspiracy because there were so many powerful people involved from both sides of the aisle and they used their connections to sort of sweep this under the rug. I mean, even the fact that in one of these emails, you see Jeffrey Epstein consulting with President Obama's White House Council on how to deal with an inquiry about Donald Trump and a young woman, these are the most powerful people in the world. And the fact that he even has access to this woman, Kathie Römlöhr, which just shows you the level of, you know, the level of connection and that they all work together in the same institutions at one time, the revolving door of government to these law firms and to private equity in various places. So it is a big conspiracy. And maybe they're, you know, in the word conspiracy, you can take it one step, you know, you can take it very far and suggest that he's a spy, I think. But when you just look at the fact that so many powerful people were involved and were able to cover this up for a long time, you know, you realize that there were a lot of actors working together to silence it. Quickly, because I want to get to Stacy. I was just going to say quickly, we all know that there are two systems of justice in America, sadly, one for the rich and powerful and one for the rest of us. And this to me is a perfect example of that. Jonah Sarah, Tara Palmieri, thank you guys very much. Joining us, Jeffrey Epstein's former girlfriend, Stacy Williams. Stacy, thank you for being with us. We are at today's three million page document dump. Well, I'm confused. Like everyone else, I'm just, it's a huge document dump and there's a ton of information. I am just trying to get caught up to speed. And I think we all will be for a while. But clearly my first takeaway from looking, glancing at things is that survivors once again, were outed and not protected. So that is just messy, incompetent, damaging, damaging work to these women, to these survivors. The other thing that's confusing is that when I heard about it and I went online to look, it had already been taken down from the, so I don't know if they're up again, the Justice Department files, but they're down. So I just think it's like so funny because, Trump started bombing boats in Venezuela to distract from Epstein. And now we're gonna just toss out a few files from Epstein to distract from ICE. I mean, is that where we're at? Like it's this boomerang distraction. I have no words. I'm horrified by some of the screenshots that have been sent to me already. And I'm just begging for transparency one again. And once again, this is what I've been doing for a year now. Have you seen anything so far other than the, you know, the lack of redactions or the identifying details that are out there? Have you seen anything so far in the documents? And again, it's gonna take us a long time to go through all of this, days, months, maybe. Anything though that surprised you? Oh, nothing would surprise me. Nothing. And remember, I, you know, I briefly dated, he was not my boyfriend, dated Jeffrey Epstein. And he walked me into Donald Trump's office at the Trump Tower to be groped by him. They were very close. The fact that anyone's trying to litigate whether they were friends or how well they knew each other or whatever is just absurd at this point. So, you know, I am, and the White House and Trump has called me a liar. So I know I've been polygraphed by actually one of the most renowned polygraph examiners in the world. Michael Wolf confirmed with Jeffrey Epstein what the two of them did to me together. So, you know, and then I have that post-assault love note from Donald Trump, which, you know, its origins were verified by news outlets. I know that he lied about me. I know that he continues to lie about me. So, you know, I am very skeptical of this DOJ and they've been dragging their heels on releasing this stuff forever. Why? You know, I mean, if I'm a liar, we're all liars. Just release the files and let us see everything. But, you know, I mean, his DOJ is, you know, his flying monkeys are in the streets, slaughtering American citizens. I guess this is like a good time for another distraction. Stacy Williams, really good to have you. I just want to note Donald Trump's always denied everything. And his Department of Justice has said there's no evidence of further crimes that they can prosecute. Anyway, Stacy, really good to have you and thank you for joining us today.
