Summary

Episode covers Pam Bondi's removal as Attorney General, Army Chief of Staff General Randy George's forced retirement under Secretary Pete Hegseth, and the reversal of the military gun ban on bases. Hosts discuss potential AG replacements and internal Pentagon friction over Trump administration priorities.

Insights
  • Bondi's departure signals potential weakening of Suzy Wiles' influence in the White House despite her role as Chief of Staff, with a Vanity Fair profile possibly contributing to the shift
  • Hegseth is systematically removing establishment military officials from prior administrations to implement Trump's vision, suggesting deeper ideological realignment at the Pentagon
  • The gun ban reversal demonstrates deliberative policy-making rather than chaotic change, with over a year of analysis preceding the executive action
  • Multiple potential AG replacements face Senate confirmation hurdles, limiting Trump's options and requiring strategic selection from confirmed or easily confirmable candidates
  • Epstein document release and Eric Swalwell connection rumors may be internal Democratic maneuvering rather than Trump administration actions

Now on 105.9 FM and streaming worldwide on the WMAL app O'Connor and company and a very good Friday to one and all this is a impactful day for Christians everywhere of course and for those of you who are listening and participating in our conversation this morning as you head off for your Good Friday observances I'm with you we're praying together and none of us are worthy but thank God literally this day happened. Coming up at 7.05 we're gonna speak with Dr. Ryan Hanning executive vice president of Catholics Come Home talk about the importance of Good Friday and also a better new report about the resurgence of people joining Christianity in general and the Catholic Church in particular. 7.35 Father Paul Scalia local priest made good out there in Falls Church talk about this holy week with him and the big weekend ahead for Christians everywhere. 8.05 Al Corby have you heard the president's having issues with this bunker he's building under the ballroom? Well Al Corby is an expert in bunkers he's the president and founder of SAFE. We'll talk about maybe you could have your own bunker in the backyard and then the ballroom. In minute 8.35 we'll speak with the curator of the Apollo collection over the National Air and Space Museum talk about Artemis. It's Larry Conner with Alex Swyer this morning. Good Friday to you Alex thanks for coming in. Yeah thanks for having me. Well it's a great day to have you because it was kind of a busy day yesterday in Washington DC we started the day with rumors. Never Larry. Yeah right especially with Trump as president. Do you sometimes sit and just say oh yeah he was an awful president he had mashed potatoes for brains but our jobs were a lot easier when Biden was in office right? No I would much rather be busy. Don't you I mean like it's so much more fun. We have so much to talk about and like it keeps it makes the days fly by. Of course. Everyone says what's the toughest part of your job and I said well other than waking up in the morning the toughest part is deciding what we're not gonna get to. Yeah. There's so many topics that end up on the cutting room floor but yesterday was definitely busier than most as we started the day with rumors that Pam Bondi the attorney general was on the chopping block that the president had been speaking in private conversations but private conversations with multiple people on multiple occasions openly speculating that he had grown frustrated with the attorney general's performance and suggesting that maybe he should replace her with Lee Zeldin and of course Cinex in Washington DC covering President Trump would say that this is the kind of conversation that probably happens on a regular basis. I think Bessent, Rubio and Duffy are probably the only cabinet members right now who he has not openly speculated about you know upgrading and changing and maybe getting somebody else in there. That said but you know just as I was dismissing it as your typical DC reporters you know passing rumors off anonymous rumors off his news the axe fell by noon Pam Bondi was gone. And I will say it was a bit of a surprise on the timing just because she had spent the whole day previously with him right like she went to the Supreme Court with him I mean she was even there I mean that was what 10 a.m. and then she was there at like the 9 p.m. like yes and the 9 p.m. Iran speech like she was with him all day so I definitely don't think it was much of a surprise to her they had to have discussed this and I think the prepared statement it wasn't the way he let her go was very you know I guess you could say professional friendly compared to other truths we've seen. The thing I'll also mention is you talked about he didn't call her sloppy Steve or something. She didn't get a bad nickname on the way. She was one of the first ones Larry that came in and like she actually physically took Biden's picture off the wall and put Trump's up remember I mean she was very loyal to him and I was looking at Lee Selden he had a really good confirmation vote it was like 56-42 I was looking at a few others that I think have been mentioned Blanche was confirmed he was 52-46 that's the thing is like all these names that are floating out there they have to get confirmed right so like there was I saw somebody with the rumor like oh what about Ken Paxton, Texas Attorney General like running against the Cornyn for the yeah but like I don't know if he would get confirmed. Well but hold that thought you know we'll continue this conversation we'll get into the who's gonna replace Pam Bondi in a minute because it is it's the new game in Washington. Let's talk about what happened here what exactly and we're fortunate by the way Alex Sawyer from the Washington Times has podcast and columns over there but you also specialize in covering the Supreme Court and DOJ so you've got some sources what do you think based on your reporting and based on your sources the president ultimately was frustrated by I know there were a lot of people in the base who wanted basically people in the base the MAGA base thought that Pam Bondi's job was to go out and arrest all the president's enemies all the people who have been doing like arrest someone do something do something you heard that all the time Pam Bondi do something it's obviously not quite that simple but you know I understand the frustration because we see all of these things and they say look what we found it's like okay you found it now do something yeah so is that what the president's frustration was I think that there was a few different items like one was this Epstein situation that like never went away right everyone covers how Bondi referenced having the file on our desk I think there was questions about that and also you know I've been very defensive of I think the administration putting all these records out there but then of course when you have this millions of records you did have names victims names released you had some mistakes there that weren't supposed to happen but I also you know my sources it does not seem like there was friction I think in the DOJ I think that there's maybe some elbowing about like who's who's you know leading what keeping different information from each other possibly there just seems to be a little bit of internal agency friction but to your point yes people have been frustrated that there haven't been more arrests that the indictments against James Comey leticia James didn't go anywhere they want to see more one of the people that the MAGA base seems to be most pleased with at the DOJ is her meet Dylan yes that they really feel like she's done a really good job in the civil rights division that she's gone after all these DEI issues like she's really held Harvard to account and so her name has kind of been floated to us maybe a potential replacement you keep want to talk about the next guy I know I know I know I'm sorry because there was this other story that apparently she has inexplicit in inexplicitly a cordial relationship with one Eric Swalwell congressman from California who's now running for governor of the state and there was a multiple different news outlets were reporting that she had in some way been implicated I don't know if she did this but she was accused of giving Eric Swalwell a heads up on the pending FBI plan to release paperwork involved with the investigation into Eric Swalwell and a liaison with a suspected Chinese spy known as Fang Fang and whether it's true or not that Pam Bondi had given him a heads up that was one of the main stories that President Trump had gotten wind of and that's like all right that's it she's gone is there anything to that yeah I haven't not that is not something I heard from any of my sources but I mean that would be like the biggest faux pas of a prosecutor I mean I don't that kind of seems too shocking that someone would do that so you know I don't know I don't know how many you know outlets had that how many outlets confirmed that but that wasn't something I was hearing is she being similar to Christie Noam being sort of laterally well not really laterally because you don't go lateral from attorney general or secretary of Homeland Security but placed in a different position and sort of given a soft landing is Bondi given that I'm wondering what this private sector position is that she's going to be helping to continuing the administration's work a lot of times you see people from the DOJ go over to Jones Day various firms like lead different departments so I mean that would be her next step traditionally but I don't know what that would mean does that mean that she's going to work as outside council I'm not really sure I am it's going to be one to watch the one thing I will say is okay hold that hold that hold no but literally I want to hear what that one thing is and we'll get into speculation about who the next attorney general might be but first it's 515 next role with Vernon Davis the transformative journeys of athletes artists and entrepreneurs ladies and gentlemen lights out Sean Mary I want to be the biggest and the best when I do and so whatever it takes I'll get it done in business and everything else all I do is know how to fight and earn what I want my man Malik asked what actor comedian what you want to collaborate with me Jamie Foxley Kevin Hart in a movie we said it on Vernon Davis podcast and so we'll circle back be like yeah it's gonna clear next role with Vernon Davis follow and listen on your favorite platform and we're getting you going here on this good Friday heading into the Big Easter Sunday weekend but we've got some Washington DC whispers to hang on to still people wondering what the final straw was for Pam Bondi as attorney general but it doesn't matter as she heads back to Florida to enjoy her Easter and yes yes we're gonna get it well first I said hold your thought did you hold it Alex I did I mean what you thought well so the other thing is is there's been some speculation we mentioned Epstein in the beginning but that she was due to testify April 14th right over the whole handling of Epstein files so I mean that could have been another issue that they were trying to avoid possibly and it looks like there's some Republicans on the hill saying oh now that she's not attorney general she doesn't need to come testify others Democrats especially say no no that she still has to come answer our questions well and Nancy Mase one of the congress persons that made a motion for that subpoena she said yesterday doesn't matter I I didn't subpoena the attorney general I subpoena Pam Bondi and I want Pam Bondi to come and testify yeah so I think with that much noise I don't know how she avoids going to testify I think she's gonna have to to be there and I'm guessing her performance will be similar to what we've seen before and she's always been a bit combative and kind of I think like the president like that style right I agree I wasn't a big fan of it personally I like combativeness but when she was asked a question about the release of the Epstein documents which I think was mishandled I think any objective observer would say that they were mishandled her response to one of the congressmen was have you looked at the Dow were over 50,000 it's like wait what yeah there's a good way to dodge and a bad way to dodge um congressman Seth Molton who has sort of shown himself to be a bit of a fire brand and agitator for the Trump administration somebody who appeals to the mob in the street he told MS now yesterday that this is all about Epstein but that serves their political purpose because it makes it look like number one that they're hiding something and that you know Trump is angry at her for releasing things about Epstein and keeps building up the Epstein drama behind the scenes it also serves their purpose to tell their base that they got they got a scalp this is Democrats doing the Democrats got rid of Pam Bondi because of Epstein I don't frankly buy much of that at all but who knows let's move on to who might be next the initial name that was floated was Lee Zeldin the current EPA administrator some people are saying Harmi Dylan like you mentioned some people have mentioned Senator Mike Lee which would be a really dumb idea I'd Senator Lee won't take the job because why why do that the other one is a senator Eric Schmidt out of Missouri he was mentioned as a potential attorney general back when right after Trump won and he's also former attorney general of Missouri and he brought he brought that one censorship lawsuit do you remember the big for metaing social media right big first amendment case he was a real leader on that so you know that those are when you talk about senators those are the ones that I think would get through confirmation really pretty swiftly look at what happened with Mark Wayne Mullen replacing Noam I think sometimes even President Trump may have seen how well that went and thought oh I mean you know maybe this could be the same I'm not sure well I guess this it'll come down to who he picks I suppose he's also at a time where he can't afford to lose many Republican votes in the Senate musters swiftly replaced by the state also you had mentioned Ken Paxton I've seen this I've seen this out there oh well who moved Ken Paxton make him attorney general that'll get him out of the race that'll get that's wish casting that's wish casting from all the people who were telling us a month ago that Trump was going to endorse John Cornyn in the runoff and it never happened and now they're desperate and they are a make packs in the age I think that candidates in Texas would be disappointed because it's a midterm election they really need the base and the base is obviously really vocal behind Ken Paxton I think that I've talked to GOP strategists working on various campaigns and they've told me that their candidates want Paxton at the top of the ticket because they think that will help turn out oh yeah and Paxton wins going away and and it's again those are people who are just desperate at this point to have Cornyn win it and let's not forget Chris Lasaveta the former campaign manager for President Trump is now working for John Cornyn and running that campaign so a lot of that stuff that you hear out of Washington's oil looks like the White House is going to do this and do that it's all sourced back to people who are working for John Cornyn or just desperate to prop him up and keep him on and this would be a last desperate way to keep John Cornyn as the senator if you get Ken Paxton out of the race it's not going to happen so the other question is and and I think it's an important one a lot of observers I included made note of the fact that so many of the people who populated this Trump administration this Trump cabinet came from California excuse me from Florida politics they were Florida Republicans and that's not just because Florida seems to be a pretty strong Republican state Suzy Wiles the chief of staff who was also the campaign manager for President Trump she's sort of the godmother of Florida Republican all of these people all had hired Suzy Wiles in the past to manage their campaign Marco Rubio Pam Bondi etc etc this is one of the first Florida Republicans to fall one of the Suzy she's bad bondi and Suzy Wiles that's part of the team there right so does this indicate that maybe Suzy Wiles doesn't have the same kind of influence and sort of presence in the White House that she had at the beginning that this wouldn't have happened earlier because there were rumors that bondi was on the chopping block earlier but now it has does that mean the president is starting to grow impatient he hey I gave it all year and I'm not getting as much done as I want I think yeah I mean I think that's that's some some good thinking one of the things I thought I've wondered if her Wiles's profile hasn't fallen and this is I guess maybe from a reporter standpoint that I'm saying this is that Vanity Fair article I just think ever since that came out that was Vanity Fair wasn't it when they did the profile on her when I think she was like the it was the a few of them in the White House and the the kind of vibe I've gotten or what I've heard is that maybe the writer was working on a book was working in yeah this is a guy the Suzy Wiles the writer of that article historically he has written a book about every chief of staff since I think so like the Reagan administration I just thought to myself you know covering Donald Trump's 2016 campaign and then what happened with his first administration they went from being very anti-media to then it was like as soon as they were in the White House they just embraced your legacy media your mainstream media at the first administration they've really been away from that this last time and I credited the new you know like Suzy Wiles Carolyn Levitt I thought they were have been doing a great job at yes the messaging but then that seemed like such a misstep I was a little surprised by Suzy Wiles and that so I mean maybe since that decision he's kind of taken the reins I don't know been a little bit more forceful so yeah I mean that could be that could be why we're seeing the break in the Florida the Florida alliances it was in the Vanity Fair article though that Christy Wiles said in the author is Chris Whipple he's the person and this was in December she said of Bondi first she gave them binders full of nothingness and then she said that the witness list or the client list was on her desk there is no client list and it sure as hell wasn't on her desk that was criticism of Pam Bondi at the time and well Pam body no longer Attorney General and now the parlor game will be who replaces Pam Bondi we floated some names to you and maybe we'll get a decision soon pay close attention though because one of the keys here is getting them confirmed but the good news is Mr. Blanche who is acting Attorney General he's solid he saw it as a rock why wouldn't you want to stay why not just make him Attorney General that's what I think could happen that's my prediction of what might go forward we shall see it's 525 now on 105.9 FM and streaming worldwide on the WMA L app O'Connor and company it's 536 good Friday to you we're gonna get you going up until 9 o'clock when we hand it off to Chris plant 705 Dr. Ryan Hanning of Catholics come home big story in the New York Times about the resurgence in the church 735 father Paul Scalia of Falls Church St. James Catholic Church and Falls Church talk about this holy week and Easter coming up at 805 Al Corby president and founder is safe and can make you a bunker just like the one that President Trump is making under the ballroom right maybe not just like but he has some insights into what's going on there and then at 835 Tiso Muir harmony the National Air and Space Museum's curator for the Apollo collection and I wonder if they're getting a whole wing ready for Artemis we'll get into that it's like you're kind of with Alex Sawyer of the Washington Times joining us this morning and and there's a lot to talk about Alex I'm glad you're here there is I was just going down a rabbit hole of the whole Eric Swalwell documents and all yeah yeah I don't know I mean he denied it the White House has denied that was a reason I'm not really sure and also you know I do think he's running for governor right like that would totally interfere with his campaign I'm not really I have a timing you would I have a theory I have a great on the the Eric Swalwell the news report I think it was leaked to the New York Times maybe Washington Post that the FBI was planning to release documents for the purposes of transparency revealing everything that went on with the investigation into Eric Swalwell and the Chinese spy allegedly known as Fang Fang right everybody knows the story at this point and and Swalwell has been dining out on this all week he's been going all over cable news the president's targeting me this is an outrageous abuse of power it's like wait a minute you're not getting arrested you're not even getting investigated all they're doing is releasing documents to show and he has always claimed Alex Sawyer he has always claimed that he fully cooperated he but you know he worked with the FBI on this thing and he was completely you know he was was a hero in the whole story and so if that's the case why would you object to having there was recent there was recent reporting from Fox and I can't remember the exact details but it has to do with there is a lawyer he's close to that I think might be a donor I'm not really sure who has ties to I think the CCP or has offices over there as well as in California so I mean this could be something that he doesn't want out because maybe there's you know more that he's worried about that this could open the door further so Joe DeGeneva speculated on Monday that really the release of these documents is going to make the FBI work look worse than anybody else because the FBI should have investigated and prosecuted Swalwell but they didn't they gave him a heads up so that he could you know clean up his house and that gave Swalwell an opportunity to say oh we cooperated with the FBI as soon as they alerted us of this fact but but let me go back to my theory I don't I don't even know if the FBI was planning on releasing these documents I think that the Democrats are trying to submarine Eric Swalwell I think this is cut this this leak is coming from inside the house they don't want him to be governor of California they know he's a man that could be true but isn't he's polling isn't very good anyways right you know he's he's the leading Democrat right but he's still behind a Republican no he is and that's the other the Democrats need to coalesce behind somebody so that they can you know rise up and be on the general ballot and they do not want it to be Eric Swalwell no got Katie Porter they've got Peter Thiel they've got you know who knows it's it's Eric Swalwell on the seven dwarfs over there so I don't know Katie Porter miss get out of my shot exactly that one we I don't know see how it all shakes they don't have much to choose from over there I doubt that Pam Bondi I am doubting the report that she was fired because she gave Eric Swalwell a heads up yeah I don't know adversaries at his impeachment ooh not very if you go back and watch it's surprising I went back and watch some videos like oh well they do seem to be friendly buddy buddy yeah staying meanwhile over to the Pentagon there's been a shake up with the United States Army as Secretary where Pete Hegseth has dismissed the Army Chief of Staff statement put out by Sean Parnell the spokesperson for the Pentagon General Randy A. George will be retiring from his position that's how it happens by the way when you get fired it's announced that you will be retiring congratulations you are retiring retiring from his position as the 41st Chief of Staff the Army effective immediately but it's effective immediately that usually means there's been a dismissal one of the sources said Hegseth wants someone in the role who's going to implement President Trump and Hexeth's vision for the Army which suggests that there has been some friction there about Secretary of War Hexeth's vision for the Army and the four-star general Chief of Staff of the Army's disagreements about that vision this reporting by CBS News two other Army officers were also removed from their rules according to three sources familiar with the matter General David Houdini who led the Army's transformation and training command and Major General William Green who headed the Army's Chaplain Corps the Washington Post was first to report on Houdini and Greens Alster says CBS News the Army Chief of Staff typically serves for four-year term and George was nominated for the position under Joe Biden and confirmed by the Senate in 23 meaning he would typically have held the position until 27 so out of nowhere I haven't seen any rumblings or rumors about you know the friction over there and issues over there but I do know that there are a lot of old school long-term call them establishment military types who have you know bristled at some of the changes and some of the new approaches that Pete Hexeth has brought to that building. Yeah one of the things that it says that what that it looks like Hexeth is trying to remove I guess senior officials that were associated with prior administrations to get rid of that maybe that establishment push and it's coming at a time to where there might be some maybe there's some friction over what's going on with Iran I mean you know clearly polling I think the president's speech was trying to address some of those concerns that we're seeing from the American people so maybe this was like one of those you know shake-ups that they're hoping that ends up getting everyone on the same page who knows but you know I don't cover the Pentagon I think it might be even harder to get people to talk there than it is at the Supreme Court which you know it's not easy. Well it's harder now that they've actually been trying to address leaks it was it was super easy before to get people talking under different administrations and different secretaries of defense but war secretary Hexeth has been trying to change the rules of engagement there with the media and press pass as an access to the brass. You're right this happens at a time where we're engaged in a military conflict with Iran right now although the army doesn't play a huge role in it at least in the region but perhaps it could be possible that some of the disagreements and some of the conflict here arose as discussions of possible use of soldiers on the ground there became a sticking point perhaps we'll find out I'm sure this guy will give his exclusive interview etc etc that's what happens but our M.H.U.S. staff forced our general Randy George now stepping down immediately taking retirement we'll see what happens next it's 544 next roll with Vernon Davis I'm your host Vernon Davis okay y'all thank you thank you that's enough today we have Dietrich Wise through my example on the field off the field during game day in practice that was one way that I led because they led success next role isn't about what's next it's about why they do it my man Bobby bones like I've had a lot of stuff happen bad and good and so I don't have any fear of mixing it up that's probably next role with Vernon Davis follow and listen on your favorite platform that's Larry O'Connor with Alex Sawyer who we forgot to mention Alex you are well you're on the injured reserve list you're you're you're playing with with half your half your budget you're coming coming down off of a off of a bad illness everybody gets sick after CPAC it's just happens that's what happened I mean you know I got I flew back from CPAC and all of a sudden like halfway through the flight I started to feel so sick I had chills and I I hadn't had COVID since ever I never had COVID like even in 2020 I never had COVID you died I did I thought I was immune and then I have a four-year-old so I went to urgent care the next day because I had a fever and sore throat and I thought maybe I had strep because that's what all preschool moms get right and they came in they said you're COVID positive and I thought no way finally got me back in Dallas to get it done I own and sorry about the way you sound great I feel so much better I already went through Pacs low bit I had a negative test Wednesday it was real quick so I mean it was like it was an intense few days I'm not feeling good but then you're such a traditional type person though it's just like you to get COVID you know like six years later it's like it's very old-fashioned of you now I mean I told somebody asked me the other day like what are you doing right now like can you can you grab coffee and I was like well I have COVID and they like is that still a thing apparently I've never had it before I'm just late to the party let's like say you got you know I don't know polio or nobody gets that anymore so weird now too though they like don't even have you I've been like testing myself just because I don't want to infect others but like they don't even tell you to do that anymore they're like oh yeah you can lick doorknob yeah go make out with a homeless person nothing's gonna happen just don't worry about it all right more more news out of the Pentagon a couple of amazing developments here Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has reversed a policy that I know was probably the most annoying, angering, inconvenient and nonsensical protocol that had been put in place on military bases and forts and posts here in America take a listen to cut one. These war fighters entrusted with the safety of our nation are no less entitled to exercise their God-given right to keep and bear arms than any other American. Our war fighters defend the right of others to carry they should be able to carry themselves. Recent events like what happened at Fort Stewart, Holloman Air Force Base or Pensacola Naval Air Station have made clear that some threats are closer to home than we would like. In these instances minutes are a lifetime and our service members have the courage and training to make those precious short minutes count. Before today it was virtually impossible most people probably don't know this it was virtually impossible for War Department personnel to get permission to carry and store their own personal weapons aligned with the state laws where we operate our installations. I mean effectively our bases across the country were gun free zones unless you're training or unless you are a military policeman. Yeah listen I know this may come as a shock to people who aren't in the military don't know people in the military but it's true and by the way Alex I don't know if you know anyone in the military but they tend to like guns. Yeah well I mean I think that the actual aspect of two things the military defense are right to carry right so why would they not be able to have that same. You have to relinquish your right to carry. Yeah that's one issue. The second is like these people are trained with firearms I mean it reminds me when I when I got my CHL years ago back in Texas like I took a written exam a shooting exam like this if you want anyone to have a gun it's somebody who's trained and the military people they seem to be probably the most efficient the most thorough. All about virtue signaling it was all about virtue signaling it was outrageous it never made any sense and I don't know which president implemented it or Secretary of Defense implemented it could have been under Bush could have been under Obama probably under Obama I don't know but it never made any sense and it's been so inconvenient for people for Marines or soldiers or airmen who love their second amendment they love their firearms and then they're driving on the basis oh crap that's right I've got my gun with me and now I'm not gonna do this and I guess it's always a pain in the butt number one and also here's the other thing that always bothered me about this that that you couldn't carry or couldn't have your firearm while on base or explain this to me or or convince me if I'm wrong it sent a message by saying this by having this policy it subtly delivered the message that people who are in the military they're a little on edge they're they're kind of on the fringe they could snap at any minute we don't want people having guns around here because you know these guys you know maybe they got PTSD it was insulting it sort of added this extra insult to members of the military that they can't be trusted to have a firearm which is outrageous because they're that's literally their job yeah I think that it was you made a good point about when was this when did this whole like rule go into place because it seems like it's a level of gun control advocacy one of the things that the only I guess common sense aspect is that I guess it's the the off-duty carrying of your private firearms but still I mean that's where it's their military base it's where many of them reside right I mean like that just it it it seems many reside or they've got it in their car on their person with honest I'm surprised this wasn't like this rule wouldn't be challenged in court yeah why wasn't it well because there are a lot of constitutional rights that you relinquish when you join the military I suppose it may have been challenged and it was determined at some point I'm not sure but I do remember the tragic terrorist attacks at Fort Hood a lot of people in retrospect were looking at that saying you know if we could have our guns to defend ourselves this would have been over pretty quick so the Secretary of War doing that I'm surprised it took a year to do this but it actually it demonstrates the fact that they're not going in here the Trump administration and just you know willy-nilly and chaotically changing everything and this was a deliberative process it took over a year they went through the process they analyzed it they had their hearings they had their discussions and it was determined yesterday that yes you can go ahead and you can exercise your right to bear arms while you're bearing arms to protect us and our right to bear so congratulations everyone here's what it sounded like he finished his video by signing the order right there for everyone on social media take a listen not all enemies are foreign nor are they all outside our border some are domestic confirming your God-given right to self-protection is what I'm signing into action today and I'm proud to do so and it's moments like this Alex that explains emphasis oh why is he so popular why is hex so by politicians in this town the old school the establishment in DC they hate Pete Hexeth the men and women in the uniform they love Pete Hexeth that's exactly one of the reasons why the I was just like looking at military comm so it looks like it was a Pentagon rule in 2016 but that allowed some of them to I guess like they could apply for concealed carries so I mean I guess that maybe it does go back to well there was a directive I think I've been looking into it as well that really it started under George Herbert Walker Bush back in 1992 there was a directive having to do with some emphasis some restrictions on firearms but then it was expanded even more so over the years but it's been reversed now until Alexandria Ocasio becomes president so wow we got that it's 554 hi I'm Joe Salci I hosted the stacking Benjamin's podcast you know what a lot of us get taxes wrong filing your taxes is basically data entry there's been this trend of people going oh it's so cool to follow my taxes in August it's so awesome don't worry I have an extension it'll be fine I'd like totally do it later stop do your frigging taxes now that was a really good fashion voice did you like you do that more frequently please yes every show from now on stacking Benjamin's follow and listen on your favorite platform
