Cameron Hanes and co-host discuss Jelly Roll's Grammy wins and subsequent criticism for not making political statements, the Epstein files release and systemic corruption, Super Bowl LIX analysis, and the importance of civil discourse across political divides despite deep distrust in institutions.
Insights
- Celebrity political silence is weaponized by both sides—praised when aligned with preferred ideology, condemned when neutral, creating impossible standards for public figures
- Institutional distrust has reached a tipping point where citizens question the authenticity of even released evidence, suggesting transparency alone cannot restore faith without accountability
- Division is deliberately manufactured through media and political systems to control populations; recognizing this pattern is the first step toward depolarization
- Privilege is reframed: worrying about politics is a luxury for those not fighting for survival; those in crisis cannot afford ideological engagement
- Personal growth requires empathy for those you disagree with, not celebration of their choices—a distinction critical to maintaining civil society
Trends
Celebrity accountability paradox: public figures face contradictory demands to speak on politics while being criticized regardless of stanceInstitutional legitimacy crisis: evidence releases fail to restore public trust without visible consequences for powerful actorsWeaponized divisiveness: both mainstream and alternative media profit from polarization, making unity messaging suspect to all sidesPrivilege redefinition in discourse: survival-focused populations deprioritize political engagement, creating class-based perspective gapsEmpathy-based depolarization: emerging counter-narrative emphasizing conversation over condemnation as antidote to manufactured divisionTreadmill athletics optimization: ultra-endurance athletes using controlled environments to achieve sub-5:20 mile paces at scaleObsessive training culture: elite athletes rejecting recovery days and social engagement as performance optimization strategy

Every step I take, I move my truth. Every time they tell me stop, I use. Every comment, hate that makes my feel. Gather up my energy and boom. I hear them talking, saying the way that I move is so reckless. That is a part of my mind I've been blessed with. Giving my blood so I am relentless. This is Shit Talkers 2-1-Dose-21. I don't know. I think so. What's 9 plus 10? Yeah! 6-7. I don't even know what the f*** 6-7 means. nine plus ten is 21. Good. Well, we got a lot of touchy subjects. God. A lot of touchy subjects. Oh, good. Good. Not wiener touching. Not. I used to say gayer than two wieners touching. But. But I don't say that anymore. What? Yeah. I mean, I said it, but that was just like you've repented. Oh, man. I thought you were going to say you thought that that was gay, but now the gayest thing. But now you've seen gayer. I did see it. Also, I got a field ethos magazine, which is I think Trump Jr.'s publisher. It's a sick magazine. The photos are awesome, but they put in this picture of Trump Jr., and they said this is a gayest picture they could find. Because he was supposed to write a column, and he didn't. So it actually says this is a gayest picture in the caption, and it does look gay. That's pretty funny. Oh, it was good. Well, that's a nice surprise. Okay. Well, we'll start at light and fun with the fun bunch. Oh, fun bunch. I got a message from fun bunch. oh did you it was a fun bunch yeah um a movie i watched this weekend i'd never seen before x machina oh the machine thing yeah yeah have you seen that i think so yeah with uh was she kind of hot robot yeah is that robot porn oh god we are well there's you know the there's a scene where and if you see it you know this but and she walks into like the dressing room and there's five closets with older previous models of robots but they're all just like hot naked chicks oh okay i don't know if i saw i guess i didn't get that far into it i think i lost interest well it's like this it's kind of it's uh this weird coder guy trying to make ai something that's like sentient anyways the whole movie is from like this uh this other guy who visits him and he kind of makes this the creator look weird like a drunk maybe a perv like he's making all these weird naked robots and he talks about them and yeah but it turns out clean fun that the guy visiting got manipulated by the hot robot oh i've classic i've been tricked into stuff like that before so even against robots we fall for yeah classic tricks oh yeah i mean let's play hide the weenie nuts and bolts put it in here nobody will ever find it I love this game. No, that's not a vice grip. Yeah, I guess I didn't watch. I did watch, I don't know, some terrible movie. But I had good actors. I wanted to say Tim Dillon. I've been watching Tim Dillon rants. my girlfriend's been getting into those i love tim dylan i've never watched him before he goes off he goes off he goes hard he enters flow state yeah he just does not i know he's good but lots of material to get worked up about these days yeah i like the one where he goes off on his aunt is it i don't this was about fdn oh oh we got we got that in the in the notes in the show notes. The last time we release a pack out is sold out in under 24 hours gone you need to be ready the second they go live at montananifecompany.com because they won't last and if you can't wait until then montana knife company gives listeners of this podcast 10 off any knife right now just use code cam at checkout hoyt began with a dream and a simple desire create the best bow hunting and target archery equipment possible and since 1931 that is exactly what they've been doing. I'm skeptical every year that this year's bow will be better than last year's yet somehow their engineers seem to figure it out. I think what sets them apart is their engineers are all avid hunters themselves so they take their bows in the field every year with intent to make them stronger, faster, and more accurate. Hoyt is actually my lifetime bow sponsor. That is how much I believe in them. Their products and their drive to always be the best. Hoyt is giving listeners of this podcast 20% off products in their store with code CAM. Sorry, it doesn't work on bows, but it does work on accessories, including quivers, rests, and my favorite, the GoStick. That's code CAM at checkout at hoyt.com. Going back a little bit from this weekend, and we haven't talked about this because we haven't done a Shit Talkers, but Jelly Roll. Oh, the Grammys? Three Grammys. Oh, I know. I texted him today. we're uh yeah we're we're getting dialed in for our half marathon but man that was so sick dude i i was like we're just hoping one yeah just get one yeah winning a grammy is a lifetime achievement yeah but to go three for three and he won those two and i texted him i is they're like kind of before the show started or something like that i think they got i don't know i don't know how they do it but anyway i saw bunny put up something uh getting a call from him and i so i texted him i said did you win he's like one two already he didn't think he's going to be get that third one he's like i don't think we'll get the third one but that's okay you know felt you know he's pumped for the two and then won the third one contemporary country artist i cannot imagine like there are so many positives in his life right now it's unbelievable he's not except for then he gets criticized because he's well talked politics exactly so stupid that's where we're headed where i was headed with this is uh yeah so then of course you know epic speech though yeah except talking about jesus and i mean he does so good on those speeches i know i loved his speech he i mean he is like a preacher and um such such a heart full of love and grace and and love for jesus so it's amazing. I just look forward to him getting on the mic every time. But then of course, because he wasn't a f***ing puppet and saying whatever the f*** about ice, he gets criticized. No one is illegal on stolen land. Oh my God, what a f***. Can you not say anything more stupid? I mean... I'm glad she's getting f***ing torn apart for it online. She's like 20 years old, so obviously she doesn't know s***, but if you don't know s***, just f***ing shut up. And some people were like, she's so brave for saying that. She's so stupid for saying that. Okay, unlock your doors. Yeah. I mean, yeah, she got roasted, deservingly so. But Jelly Roll got criticized for not saying something. It's like, I mean. The way I look at it is like, okay, he wins three Grammys. That obviously took him even more into celebrity status. I mean, that definitely probably brought in people that had never heard of him before. had never listened to his music and that's going to bring the classic kind of hollywood people that love all that shit watch all the reality tv shows and those people have one brain cell collectively yeah i mean i've i don't know since then and then all this epstein stuff and then like sometimes i get amazed that we allow every person in this country to vote dude i'm like i didn't i didn't i mean i shouldn't be shocked but i am shocked how stupid some people are i and i'm not like i'm not smart i don't know if i would even qualify but i mean yeah i mean it's fine give us a little iq test if i fail i probably would but good we don't want to trust my decisions but i'm i look at these people and their opinions and their comments and they're just like I'm like, holy shit. It is unbelievable how. I don't even know. I don't even know how to. I don't know. It just amazes me sometimes. I saw this guy posted real. He was like, oh, well, I was kind of on the fence about whether or not I should condemn ice. But then I saw Jelly Roll didn't. So I guess now I can't. Yeah, no. Yeah. We really take our cues from celebrities. It's like, come on. Even Jelly Roll said. He's like, don't listen to me. I'm just a country artist. Yeah. And why do we listen to him? I mean, I would listen to him, but why would anybody listen to a celebrity? You don't know them. No. They can't relate with a normal person. And it's like, that's who you get advice from? And that's what we're going to focus on instead of the message in his music? Yeah, I know. when okay but what we're gonna uh praise the he could be of any color any race i won't say the rapper who talks about you know bitches and shooting people and but he got a grammy and he's liberal so let's praise that yeah i know shut the fuck up and yeah he's black that doesn't matter though it doesn't matter i don't i don't actually i don't even see color i don't see sex or color anymore i just i'm like that oh you've been bought out you're one of them now you're a fed i knew this day would come oh god i i mean i'm turning into like a history expert a sexual orientation expert a uh corrupt government expert i've been going deep on shit so yeah if you got any questions on any of it oh good okay me and nick fuentes is digging deep no these people i there's a lot of i mean it okay on a serious note how up and evil are the elites of this country or this world i mean not this country but mostly this country probably i am just shocked at that shit in the epstein files and then i am also i don't know why why would i have expected any justice to come and you get cash patel up there looking like a drunk deer in the headlights doesn't know shit can't say shit says he's got all the files it's like so talking in circles but the point is they're like oh we don't have any proof anything happened can you read can you read can you watch any videos i've seen the most disturbing videos of my life Stephen Colbert you see that video I mean I want to line these motherfuckers up and bullet to the head seriously every one of them and it's like and what the is Trump doing and people are like oh no he can't do that because the whole system would collapse so he's he's got to be oh shut the up good collapse it and bullshit I don't give a what would happen and it's like quit making excuses that trump even gives a f**k about anybody none of them do i have been i i've gotten into arguments about this because i cannot stand when people take this issue and then they make it still left versus right are you guys all missing the the whole point oh yeah didn't you vote for him i saw some of that i'm like oh my god yeah i voted for him because it was going to be justice for the epstein victims get the list out it's going to be the covid bullshit to get it you know make people accountable for that stuff all this stuff that he said yeah i voted for that i'm glad you go through i'm glad these people go through the epstein files see children babies getting eaten uh sexual assault victims and what they really see is their chance to say i'm right you're wrong unreal dude it is it is unreal it makes me so mad i got into an argument with one of my buddies about this because i said that i was like i hate when people do that and the next thing he sent was like yeah i saw these people doing that it made me laugh like classic left liberals and i was like laugh oh my god i'm like i i want to kill somebody dude laugh why is nobody angry about this i i don't get it i mean it makes me sick to my stomach but also it gives and it's like the regular people how could you have hope that the system even works at our country you know and then trump's like some kid says olympic athlete says you know he's got mixed emotions about our country well so do i yeah so do i and trump like punches down on that kid say stupid it's like well why the do you think he has mixed emotions about this can you look at any of this shit and feel good are there still people out there that are listening to trump yeah of course dude is there some people who it doesn't matter what whoever they voted for do or does or did they don't give a i i don't know how you're so blinded they're so blinded by this shit and hey i i i want to make a difference i want to help i want to but it's like at what point do you just say okay i guess i've been duped yeah i feel like i've been duped on all this because when is anything gonna happen when is anybody gonna be held accountable so i'll be back on the trump train whatever the you want to call it if somebody actually cares, holds people accountable, and there's justice for the victims. And people say, oh, well, the victims got paid off. It's like, I don't... Oh, what about the girls they killed? Yeah. What about the... Okay, the victims that are alive, they got some money, and so they can't say anything. I'm sure they got some whatever NDA on it, but it like they obviously killed people Also the redacted shit that protecting the victims redacting the guy email The guy who did it? Yeah. How is that protecting the victims? No. Show me the guy's name. I want to know who the fuck it is. So I just – I can't even – I do – I love the idea of our country, and I want it to be the greatest country in the world. I've always said it was, but shit like this, I'm like, I don't know what the to believe. I don't know. How do I, how am I proud of our leadership? I want to, I want to be proud of our president, of our, of our elected officials. I want to be proud. We're doing the right things. We're fighting for the American way of life. We're, you know, the red, white, and blue. It's like the patriotism. I love that. i'm like how can i feel good about this yeah i i it so i have mixed emotions is somebody gonna call me out and say oh you piece of shit it's like i don't know how you can feel great yeah because this is kind of how i feel about it is okay this goes on nothing happens no justice comes we're kind of all guilty by complacency yeah you know like we all saw this shit yeah and still nothing came from it so it's like i feel like a piece of shit now and i'm gonna pay taxes to to these pedophiles all of them it's ridiculous and then like even elon saying i'm gonna pay for all the whoever gets prosecuted i'll pay for it it's like are we gonna pay to prosecute yourself yeah because you were there i saw some shit he was saying about he wants the wildest parties out there and you're so weird they wouldn't even invite you i mean i and all these guys i thought like when cash patel went in pam bondy went in bonjino i was like good those okay that's we got a good squad a good administration and now i'm like you are pathetic how about a couple months ago when we were talking about Israel? I mean, are we not right on the head? It's insane. It is insane. I mean, I feel like I need to wear a tinfoil hat. I don't believe anything. I don't either. I'm like, okay, I've been reading Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, and I'm like, this is probably just more circus and bread they this isn't even real i don't even i'm reading these things i don't trust anything anymore i told joe the other day i said unless i see it with my own eyes i don't believe anything i don't either it is insane and i'm like my own eyes like right here not on a screen no no i have to see it yeah okay well that's kind of ex machina he you know he sees all these ai and And AI basically is sentient, and he starts to second-guess himself, so he cuts his forearm. Because he's even questioning what he sees now. Yeah. That's like— I'm there. I am there. Remember Sky King, the guy that stole the plane? Yeah. I'm like, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to fly, because apparently there is an ice wall at Antarctica, and the Earth is flat. And it's on the back of a giant turtle. I believe it. I might as well believe that. I believe nothing in everything. Well, and then even like, okay, you go back to the indoctrination of the education system of what we've learned, you know, history, supposedly. And it's like, you know, obviously Nazis are bad. Hitler's bad. Obviously, obviously 6,000 people were killed. Six million. Well. No, six million. Yeah, sorry. You were probably pretty more accurate, though. I don't even know. I don't know. Well, okay. So six million. Um, that wasn't the biggest genocide there was. No. It was a Christian genocide. Yeah. Yeah. So did we ever learn about that? Nope. I don't remember hearing shit about that. So, uh, you know, how far back does this shit go? I mean, I think I thought I saw something like JFK was, was something like the last president who didn't kiss the wall. And that's hit or miss. But he is the last president that questioned the nuclear power of of Israel. And then how'd that work out? Same thing with Charlie Kirk. Do your own research here. But he mandated that, you know, he go over there and see exactly what was going on. And they created fake buildings to show him. So, yeah, I know. It's a PSYOP. All of it. Here's the other thing that was real. Pizzagate. Oh, my God. Holy shit. That makes me sick. All of it makes me sick, dude. Oh. And it's like, oh, I need more. I'm out of pizza. I need more pizza ASAP. Your pizza is so good. Oh, my God. These monsters. I think this is so disgusting. So past what any normal human can imagine an evil that we're almost like. I think a lot of people are like not even realizing it was real yeah it's in denial you're like you don't want to believe it you don't because it because then if you do believe it then it just you question everything and that's where I'm at yeah because I do believe it because I've read so much shit on it for some reason but I'm just blown away that this is but I think some people are in denial and still want to hold on to the greatest things of our country which you know I get that i mean it'd be really easy to ignore it pretend like it wasn't real that'd be easier for sure yeah i mean you could hold on to some amount of normalcy i guess because you could it could get i mean for a lot of people get really bleak if you start to believe it all and yeah i think the i mean so the best advice i've seen and you know and thinking about whatever is just like all you can do is control yourself your family those around you make good decisions i guess pay out your ass to these pedophiles on taxes because you got no no choice but other than that not if we all don't pay yeah but i'm not going first i know yeah you short pay them one dollar you're probably in prison meanwhile they can eat babies dude i mean it's ridiculous so okay this is i understand this is like i said also circus and bread but this is a quote from meditations but it's about uh living in the in the present and it's all you can do okay oh there is it also says in here though just so you guys know prohibition in the pursuit of boys for sex so marcus aurelius even was against what they're done and also just remember all this is all love this is shit talkers remember damn we didn't say that yet this is this is all love especially to nitin yahoo i got no love for that guy okay here we go no i saw some like woman podcaster got a letter because she said something about richard branson oh really because he was like on epstein island and so they said that he was a professional he never engaged in anything whatever and so just to reiterate the relationship richard branson had with epstein it was it was whatever platonic and business related and like oh okay what about then you know she read a few different lines oh yeah that sounds pretty evil oh so like everyone's relationship with him yeah oh they just didn't know what was going on no no no they never saw anything never saw anything deepak chopra yeah well maybe i didn't screenshot it but anyways it basically says that every man has the same amount to lose and that you can't lose the past nor can you lose the future but you can just lose the present so living one moment at a time living for the now you can't change what happened and you can't you know um can't see the future so and i i honestly think that's important for now too because it's like all this shit that's going on like we said i'm not going to believe anything that i don't see with my own eyes so really my only reality is what i see with my own eyes right in front of me on a day-to-day basis so yeah otherwise i mean why follow any laws why i mean they don't dude and they make them the elites don't the elites do whatever they want we're peasants down here it's the truman show they're they're just showing us they can do, they can murder, rape, assault, cannibalize, and the peasants can't do shit about it. It almost, it really feels like that. I know. It feels like they're mocking us. Yeah. I mean, how are we supposed to believe in anything, any of the system, any of this, the fabric that what I thought was the greatest attributes of our, of this country. element was created by former research biochemist rob wolf and has enough sodium potassium and magnesium to move the needle and get you feeling and performing your best plus it has zero sugar artificial colors or other dodgy ingredients to derail your low-carb lifestyle that's why element is my go-to electrolyte drink entrusted by many of the world's leading health experts and athletes including Team USA Weightlifting, coaches, health practitioners, and teams across professional, collegiate, and high school sports leagues. Those guys, you know, those guys haven't done anything. Right. But they're showing up to work, doing what they're supposed to do, providing for their families. Nothing but love, 100% for those guys. It's these people. I don't even know who they are. I mean, I don't know. I mean, it's a financial institution. It's pharmaceuticals. It's a politician. World Health Organization. It's disgusting. Yeah. I also think, you know, we owe Kanye an apology. God dang. I think we owe a lot of people an apology. Jim Carrey. Jim Carrey, we owe an apology. Yeah. Mel Gibson. It's wild. I mean, yeah, I don't know. Margot Robbie. Margot Robbie? We owe her an apology? Yeah, because she's hot. I'd like to give that one in person. You do. I mean, just so it's like very just authentic. Exactly. I want it to be. Well, and like we talked about, it needs to be, you know, I need to see with my own. Verified. Yeah. Yeah. So. So. Well, now that we talked about the fun stuff. Oh, God. I'm just been sick to my stomach basically the whole time. This shit has surfaced. And, you know, to be fair, I see a bunch of memes about it. And, OK, I'm the first person to make jokes when something makes me uncomfortable. But know that doing that, it's lessening the impact that it has, at least in my opinion. Like you Photoshop or AI yourself in with Jeffrey Epstein. It's funny, whatever. But at the same time, the next time someone sees a picture that is real, it'll have less of an impact. Yeah. Yeah, I don't even know. I don't think all the files are even released. No, and I guess I'm very critical of Trump, but it's not just him. This has been going on since the 90s. How many administrations? Oh, I think beyond the 90s. No, I mean with Epstein specifically. I mean, so every president, they all knew about this. All of them. So it's like we can't just say Trump. I mean, he's the one who said he was going to bring it to light. That's why I'm frustrated with him. And I mean, is there a chance he could still do the right thing? And apparently he, you know, he was mentioned a million times, but, but there's nothing like incriminating in there. Well, how do you trust it? I'm sure if there was, it'd be redacted. Yeah. Why the would I trust anything that they say? So, but point is, it's not just him. It's every, every person who knew about it before, not just a president's. It's like none of these motherfuckers. There's care about kids. Yeah, that's I just don't. How do you ignore it? I start to go off the deep end when I get to that whole trust thing, because I'm like, OK, I don't trust them about anything. Why am I going to trust that these Epstein files are all of them are real or like, what is this? What is happening? Is this just a show? Are we are we an experiment in a little ant farm? I don't know. I mean, the videos I've seen, I mean, they make movies that look real. So I guess they could make those. I'm sure it's real. I'm not saying – But the kids look pretty scared. Yeah, I mean, I'm not dismissing. I just saying like what more if this is the shit we seeing what more is there I don even know Because okay let go down the rabbit hole If they do control everything these global elitists well then they could have easily not shown us anything and what are we going to do? Yeah. So, you know, I'm like, it's so evil. Are we supposed to give credit to Trump for showing us what we've seen? That is... But why was he saying, oh, they're saying, oh, there's nothing in there. And Pam Bondi's saying, oh, there are no files. Yeah. There are no files. Cash Patel. I mean – Then what are these three million pages of emails or whatever the hell? Are we just, yeah, going to forget about that, that they said? They lied. So what about lying to the American people? I don't care. I mean it's past that, obviously. The Super Bowl. sam darnold hey oh props to sam darnold i mean he can ball out dude that some of those throws i mean he was this close on a couple to like you know the one where the receiver broke loose oh yeah and he was in the pocket just barely got it off and it's just a little too far but the fact how he can keep plays alive back there and still throw dimes yeah i mean it's not like his numbers were huge but he made some plays when they needed them yeah um running back holy shit i was hoping you know for the first half or so i was like you know seattle wins i was really hoping they were going to give the mvp award to the kicker oh i thought i've been so sick well even the punter yeah oh god holy shit uh seattle's no seattle's whole team yeah everyone defense all of them dude I mean, every – so it's three phases, offense, defense, special teams. I mean, the offense probably could have had a better game, but the rest of them, god dang. I did think Sam Darnold in his post-game interview was like, oh, we could have been better on offense. I'm like, hey, this is the last game of the year. You won this Super Bowl. I mean, you won. You're back at 135 yards. Yeah, but he's still just thinking. He's a pro. five teams in like what eight years something like that yeah this is five five plus teams yeah fifth team first quarterback i think to win a super bowl after being five plus teams i was so pumped for him um but yeah that was pretty pretty amazing he's a longtime fan right yeah yeah that's cool he had that keep i was like looking back at our messages from 2018 that's crazy and he was like i hope i did send him shit because i said give me your size and address i'll hook you up And then I was like, did I ever do that? But I know he got the – I think he bought the Keep Hammering hat or maybe I sent it. I can't remember. But anyway, yeah. He's been – we've messaged. Haven't not in a few years. But yeah, seemed like a super nice guy. Yeah. And it's a good story. It's like kind of rewrote how his career is going to go and now he's Super Bowl champion. God. But Drake may kind of look like a flaming pile of shit out there. He did until – he made some throws in the fourth. But God, he looked. I know. I was kind of like, is he a little deer in the headlights or what's going on? He's had to play in a bunch of pressure situation games. I think Seattle's defense. Yeah. Tough. Yeah. It was lockdown for sure. It was. Yeah. He had a rough game. I mean, I was glad he had a little success at the end because if it would have went like that the whole way, it's tough. I was texting Connor and I was like, this guy's been with his girlfriend since third grade. he's never experienced loss before. No, that's right. That'll be good for him. Oh, man. I mean, it's crazy they made it to the Super Bowl with a young quarterback like that. I know. Whatever. But, well, now that we've floated on the surface, let's go back to the halftime show. Why does everything have to be political? Because it's by design. I know. I mean, it's by design. I watched this thing today, something about a chess board, 64 squares, black and white, and they have to, there's an illusion that you have a choice. They're making this illusion. That's how this system is set up right now. And you really have no choice. They make it seem like, okay, if you're a liberal leftist, you watch the Super Bowl halftime. If you're right-wing patriot, then you watch the Kid Rock Super Bowl. And it's like, it's, I mean, they're, they're manufacturing this. It's the same thing with COVID, uh, anti-vaxxer or trust the science. Everybody has to be separated into these two groups and everything. If you watch it, there's symbols of this. And now I'm like really getting, where is this tinfoil? Give me the tinfoil. Break it out. Yeah. But yeah. So I don't know. I think it's just, it's all a psyop. Yeah. Seriously. Okay, but that leads me to my next talking point, which is why I think it's so important to have conversations with people on both sides. Absolutely. Yeah, I mean, it's, you know, okay. I'm just going to remember those wristbands. What would Jesus do? Didn't he sit with sinners? Didn't he sit with the most whatever? It's like unlike him, he didn't sit with the people who already believed in him. No. He sat with those who did. So that's where you make the difference. You have to sit. You can't. I can't talk to somebody exactly like me and think I'm going to learn anything. You have to sit and have conversations, you know, develop whatever thoughts, ideas through words and and hear, you know, thoughts and make interpretations. It's like that's how it's supposed to work. And it can't be. it's got to be sometimes it's going to be somebody 100 unlike you and that's what it takes yeah i don't know i think the importance of disagreement is especially now more than ever is something that we can't overlook it's like we've been kind of trained if you disagree with someone that you hate you have to hate them yeah and and whether you know you realize it or not i think subconsciously we've been trained to feel that way yeah but look at all this shit that's happening we're all human so let's all we can all agree on well i guess maybe we can't but i've seen people say like oh the left is they so wrapped up in their echo chambers i'm like you think that just it's left is echo chamber what are you talking about that that's the shit i'm talking about it's ridiculous you're pointing the finger over there while you're in your echo chamber on the far right yeah what do you it's ridiculous it makes me more angry than i've felt in a really long i feel like i'm a little kid again and i'm like going to quietly shutting my door and then i'm flipping it off my parents it just yeah it is it is pretty frustrating but it's beyond frustrating who the am i how i mean i'm making going to sound like I know everything or like, I'm like some, this, I don't know shit. Yeah. Let me just say the reason the shit makes me so angry is because I realized I was doing it myself. Yeah. And, but I, but I was able to catch it. And so now I'm like, okay, well, let me at least work on it. But seeing other people do it as like, you're, you're falling for what they want. Oh, for sure. They want division. That's the news politics. Everything is about division, right? Division sells. I mean, getting people just worked up like we are, that's their goal. And they, but it's like, I mean, I put up, did that show for nature is nonpartisan, great cause left, right, gay, straight, black, white, doesn't give a shit. Everybody let's fight for nature. Let's protect public lands. Let's not let all these cocksucking developers put houses all over the mountains and ruined everything beautiful about especially the western united states but let's come together have discussions i put a video of a i don't know what i i'm not uh patagonia i don't know let me think drag queen i wasn't even anywhere by this conversation and people are like, I can't believe all f***ing sellouts sitting by the river talking to a tranny. I'm like, did you see me anywhere over there? I mean, what the f*** are you talking about? You show a video and that's enough to get people worked up? I also think it's like, you know, we make a lot of jokes on this podcast, but I will have a conversation with anybody. anyone and if i disagree with you know because a lot of it is i'm curious as to how they think yeah these these people that i don't agree with that you know are so emotionally invested in things and well they want to they they're a man but they feel like they're a woman explain to me in a way that i can understand why that makes sense for you yeah and you know i probably won't agree with it but at least i can understand what your thought process is Well, I'm never, I'm going to listen. I'm going to be empathetic. I'm going to try my best not to judge. And I'm a redneck, dumb bow owner from a tiny town that should basically have been the biggest my whole life. So, but I'm going to try my best not to be this judgmental, whatever I've been my whole life. I'm going to try my best. I'm never going to celebrate that, validate it. I'm never going to. I am never going to say, I think that's great. But that doesn't mean I'm going to hate this person. I'm not going to hate this person. I'm going to have empathy. I'm going to show them that I can be above looking at somebody and feeling hate in my heart for them. I'm going to be above that. I'm going to, and I've had that before. I've said crazy shit about transgenders and it was wrong. So I'm trying to be better. I'm trying to, that's all. I'm never going to celebrate the lifestyle. I just can't. I can't. No, I mean, this is, I'm going to sound like a tinfoil header, so break it out again. After these Epstein files, I almost feel like those people might be victim of the system that's in place. As in, it's another way for me to look at somebody and say, I don't understand this person. I hate them. And to just divide us even more. Believe the psyops. Believe the shit that the frogs are turning gay in the water, whatever. I mean, I'll believe it all. I don't care. I'm with Alex Jones. Seriously. No, but God, what was I going to say? I was just going to say the problem with everyone hating and then you not knowing whether to say drag queen or transgender is let's not get rid of the art of cross-dressing. If a guy wants to wear a dress, that's just art. If a guy wants to wear a dress in his own house. I think back in – I don't even know when this time. In the 1800s, there were cowboys who dressed up like women. I mean, I'm pretty sure it's like men have done this. I don't get it. OK, I don't get it. I don't know. I don't even know. Ed Gein did it. But here's what I do know. OK. Where I would look at somebody like that not very long ago and judge the out of them right now. if you look at the evil monsters from epstein island you know what they look like old white guys that look that look normal yeah and those those are the most evil people i've ever learned about basically hard to even call them people okay i don't even know but so if you're judging people on how they look i'd be wrong on all those guys yeah successful businessman like oh this is what you're supposed to look like when you're a success like a billionaire a millionaire you're like run the biggest companies and banks and all the shit in the world oh that must be a good guy nope monster oh what about this guy who looks like a freak maybe he's a great guy yeah i was wrong on this maybe i'm wrong on that too how would you know until you talk to him that's a great point yeah and i mean i think um judgment is just critical thinking. I think everybody's going to judge. It's what you do with that judgment because you can make a good judgment about somebody like you were saying or bad. So judging is always going to be there. It's about how you kind of decipher that judgment that is what's important. If you can get past that and have a conversation, I feel like people would learn a whole lot, but no one's going to do that shit because they're all stuck in their own world. So why even talk about it why even god holy shit i mean give me a tent and a mountain a mountain and i don't want to ever see another human being for the rest of my life that's what it feels like maybe it blow up sex doll but that's i feel i feel lost half the time i mean i feel i feel selfish well how come self selfish because there's kids getting raped or eaten or babies whatever and you know my response is well the only thing i can understand is what's in front of me that's nice yeah that must that must be and i hate to say this because people use this in a stupid way but like it is a privilege and there's something to be said is like well those people can't so i should but I mean, it just makes me sick. Yeah. I mean, we are pretty ingrained in this division mindset. I mean, I saw this guy is like, he had a comment on Rachel Interkin. So like, Oh, she's got, she, her, and her bio. It's like, who gives up? Who cares? What? That's all you have to offer. You notice that. And so that's what you're bringing up. It's like, what the does that matter? Yeah. Well, I mean, I'm, I'm, uh, guilty of it too. You know, I won't mention who, but even I was judged somebody by their voice and you were like, there's so much more that she has to offer. Yeah. Well, yeah. Listen to, so I understand. I do it. Yeah. I I've, I've told, I just said, I've been, I just looked at somebody and already condemn or celebrate them. And it's just like without knowing anything. So all the whole point to all of this is we're trying to be better. Yeah. Okay. We can't speak for anybody else. We can't control anybody else. All I can do is I hope I'm growing as a human. I'm, I can look at somebody and instead of first feeling hate, feel empathy or love. That's all I'm trying to do. You know me not the most compassionate person just like out of the gate I mean it how are we going to move that direction with one thing but with all this other shit going on also makes me want to just hate everybody It's really tough. Yeah, I mean I think we are pretty – there's a lot of privileged people out there. I mean, I saw I shared this one thing, you know, Jelly Roll is getting kind of criticized for not voicing his opinion on ice or having an opinion or saying basically the only choice in that situation was to say ice. Basically, if you're at that event and you're a celebrity, you pretty much if you don't say that, you're wrong in that in their eyes. Right. So he didn't say anything, which is fine. But one thing that some I shared this, but it was a I didn't realize I didn't think about this either. He was an ex-con. I think he went to prison and he said, you know, when you're when you're fighting to survive on the streets and you're, you know, you don't know what how are you going to provide? You know, how are you going to eat? You don't know where you're going to sleep. You don't give a about politics. I mean, so that's where jelly roll has come from. Where it's just trying to survive. I'm just hustling. He was hustling out there. They don't know. I mean, people like that, and I didn't think about it, but it makes sense. It's just like being worried about politics is a luxury. Okay, that's exactly. Back to this privilege word. Yeah. It's like people are like, oh, that's a privilege for him to not worry about politics because he's not affected by it. I said, no, it's a privilege to worry so much about it. Yeah. You have so much free time on your hands that you're worried about what jelly roll has to say about politics. Yeah. That's a privilege. That's right. And it's like, that's what people lose sight of. It's. Yeah. When you when you don't got enough shit to do, that's what you worry about. Or you're not trying to survive. You got. Yeah. You said, like you said, yeah, so much free time like me. I can investigate all this stuff. If I was trying to, like, didn't know where I was going to sleep tonight, I would not be worried about the Epstein files. No. You know what I mean? So we've got to keep this shit in mind. Yeah. I don't know. It's a lot. You can just basically fall down any hole you want now and be there for hours or days or years. I'm sure it'll all get worse, too, which is fun. So that's fun. Oh, my God. Yeah. can we talk about something more positive I hate running oh yeah how's your running going I haven't had a good run since I did a half marathon and then I got sick afterwards well don't go running with Truett that's my advice we can talk about that next after you became a tranny you got indoctrinated now you're a sellout what was the you're a reverse bigot okay yeah you uh yeah you were running with truett yeah so if you're not running well don't run with that's that's my that's where my advice kind of stops and ends because i i mean i think he put on his post that i ran like 5 30 miles or something like that which was true but so we did one like i think it was i would we warmed up and it was like I think 657, which that's fine. That's not hard. And then we got down, kind of picked it up, got down 538. I was feeling that for sure. And then a 529. And I'm just like, freaking, what do you got? And he's like, you know, because we're trying to do a mile fast, right? These mile or no, we were doing, I think it was 15 or 13 minute like segment. segment so when you're running that fast that's like almost three miles so i did those two fast ones and then i'm like out and then here's the thing he did right so we 538 529 518 and he said didn't even feel hard well wasn't he recovering at 540 something like that yeah so that is insane yeah he dude so austin is sunday yeah he's gonna well i saw he did was it 18 or 19 miles on the treadmill which i know it's a treadmill so whatever doesn't count but at like 5 15 or 5 16s what was it i didn't see that he posted a couple days ago or maybe a week ago or something it was before you were there yeah yeah and i you know i'm just like let's get i mean yeah i know it's a treadmill but it's also a treadmill i mean so he's down to 153 he's looking slim and he's got me kind of inspired because i was 156 today oh no shit so i mean there's a there's a thought well okay so the fastest ever marathon for a 58 year old 235 and he said ever ever and so he says he said he goes dad he goes last year he goes we did that 20 mile run right before boston he goes i couldn't keep up with you he goes i ran 238 in boston he goes you were in better shape than me so he's i think i'm gonna run eugene and just see if i can I can't get down there. I don't think I haven't, I'm feeling, I mean, listen, I've never, I've never done a speed workout until like the last month in my life. Yeah. I've never stretched until like the last couple of weeks I've been stretching. I've never done anything you're supposed to do to run fast. If you started doing speed workouts. Yeah. So, I mean, I've never done fast miles. Yeah. I've always like went to a marathon, not knowing even what pace I run. Yeah. And so running a marathon and I have to ask people running it, what are we running? I don't, I don't even know what it's supposed to be. And that's how I've been doing marathons my whole life. I feel like there's a lot of room for improvement there. Yeah. So I don't know if I can getting in the 30s. But I know I think so my my, you know, my PR is it was in New York is same kind of same time as Boston there, but like 250. So I've never been in the 40s. So I think I can get in the 40s for sure. Then we'll see how that but it'd be cool to get the fastest ever in history of humans. That'd be awesome. Yeah. So and it's not I mean, obviously, that's a lot of time to shave off. But you have a lot of room. It's not like you've been giving it your all. No. And you're 250. No, I've been, all I do, I mean, I always had a job, so I couldn't do, all I do is just go run. I didn't have time for any sleeping, for recovery, for stretching. I just had to go start running at my lunch. Even race day nutrition, things like that. Oh yeah. I've never, never even taken gels. Yeah. So, oh, I don't know. I mean, Truett's got me pretty excited. But I mean, he, I'm pumped to see what he's going to do in Austin. He has a lot of confidence. I know. I've been loving his confidence on his posts. Dude, I don't know if people understand how committed he is. And you always see these even these pros and they're less like oh you got to take a day off every once in a while. Go out. Enjoy your friends. True is like no. I don't need to do that why would i do that that would and so if you don't need to so you can do that and it might be like a mental health break but you're going backwards yeah that little i'm drinking a glass of wine or a beer you didn't get better so if if you need it yeah that's a positive but if you don't need it and true it doesn't need it because he doesn't give a and it's like we ran those fast miles we get back to the truck and he's like oh he goes i know we got to run to the very end of them back it's a hundred more yards he did 17 miles already but he had to get that hundred more yards that's like that's like borderline a little autistic i mean i have never seen somebody so obsessed yeah and i i don't know I think people think we're kind of speaking like hyperbolic. No, dude. This is literally how he is. Dude, you people have no idea. And I know there's some very focused, committed, obsessed athletes out there. But it also has to be said, a lot of those super obsessed athletes have coaches that make sure they're that nobody's making true do any of this thing nobody's making him he's doing this all because he loves it he cannot wait to get up in the morning to train so we did that and then we did i said yeah i said we're we want to get a few more miles tonight so we did four more miles at night and just like seven minute pace and i mean it's just nonstop training recovery at nine hours of sleep a night. Um, oh, he's got, you know, if he has any, any up and down with a sponsor, he'll just say, I'm done. I don't need, I don't want anyone. If there's any extra energy he has to like spend on some relationship or sponsor or something like that, he'll be like, Nope, I'm done. Thanks. Just no distractions. And I don't – not very many people are like that. No. I don't – I think there are very, very few that are like that. And everybody will justify why that's not good or why they don't need to be like that or why it's better to – I'm like, okay, keep saying all that shit. Justify it for yourself. That's for you. Yeah, exactly. But people don't frame it like that. No. But that's what they mean. I mean, that's fine if you need that, but if you don't need that, look out. Yeah, shit. Well, comment down below if we should do a – I think that would be a sick film if you get the record. Or just chasing the record. Yeah. I think it would be a sick film anyways even if you don't. I feel – I did three summons today, hard. um i'm feeling i haven't felt this good dude in a while i mean my fastest ever mile was 518 so i we ran yeah and that was at elevation the fastest mile ever is 518 yeah but i've always been hurt dude i know but you've you've run so close to that threshold for multiple miles. Yeah. Yeah. But that like the miles we did there was at, you know, over 4,000 feet elevation in Utah. So it's like, I was like, I couldn't get my normal whatever. But yeah, I think if I can stay healthy, which, you know, I've never stretched, like I said. So if I just am a little smarter about it and I've never got sleep in my entire life, I've never done the sauna cold plunge yeah i could have it'd be i could have some good races this year we'll see damn that would be epic i think that would i do think that would make a really good film yeah we'll see um i texted cordyne to see if she wanted to run eugene she hasn't answered oh but i can't keep up with her i mean i would try but she's like olympic trial she's like you know she got 238 at cim which i don't think eugene's quite as fast but i bet she's in better shape now but uh yeah it'd be fun if she came around yeah that'd be sick yeah anyway well that's all on the list so unless you wanted to talk again about ip28 oh no i got another candidate that wants to come on though oh really governor candidate so yeah we go from shit talkers being completely retarded all love um to from oregon governor candidates it's like man what a what a swing i did think maybe we should start the shit talkers with uh this show has no affiliation to prior or future guests okay and their ideas and beliefs yeah there you go because otherwise i'm gonna get canceled by hr and it's all love yeah and it is all love all right guys sorry for the rant hey i mean emotions are high right now i don't know what to say i wish i could fix shit i wish i could eliminate some people um but all we can do is vent i guess yeah and it's not that funny but well it should never be funny but yeah all right well we'll see you next time keep hammering one of the hardest parts of hunting is glassing big country to find animals you know there. That's why I run Sig Sauer Zulu imaging stabilizing binoculars when I'm covering a lot of ground and need to see everything. These binos are a complete game changer. After long climbs, when your heart rate's up and your hands aren't steady, shaky glass makes it hard to stay locked in. With image stabilization, everything settles down. You can slow the process, really pick apart the country and catch movement you'd normally miss. I found more animals and saved a ton of time because of these binos. I actually just talked about how impressive this technology is on the most recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. Once you use stabilized glass, it's hard to go back. It gives you a real advantage when you're hunting big open terrain. And here's the rare part. Optics companies almost never offer discounts, but SIG is giving listeners of this podcast 10% off. Just use code CAM at checkout. So if you're serious about glassing and want the same edge I've had the past couple of seasons, head to sigsour.com, grab a pair of Zulu binos and use code CAM for 10% off. Sig Sour Zulu binoculars. See more, miss less, keep hammering. All right, hunters, listen up. Hunting season's here and the last thing you want is to tap out before the action starts.
